HAPPY 1-YEAR OF DRAWING ANNIVERSARY TO ME!

(Warning: slightly longer post incoming cause sometimes I gotta be a sentimental bitch ok? So let's go on a little trip down memory lane.)

This day, a year ago, I made my very first fanart. It was dnf (if that surprises you, then welcome to being on my blog for the very first time). I drew a little frog face too so I could use it as a watermark (fun fact: I still use that very same first one).

I immediately put my drawing up on twt because I told myself that I wasn't gonna be afraid of having people see that I was at the very beginning of this journey and had no clue what I was doing. That instead of being bad at art, I was gonna be awesome at being a beginner who doesn't know shit.

I started with little doodles and silly comics and then I laughed way too long when the first drawing of mine that gained some attention was a dnf butt joke. At the time I was trying to balance shipping and non-shipping art so I didn't even draw dnf that much but in hindsight it's probably the only possible way this could have gone.

At the very end of August I woke up to @honelle56 caps-locking at me in my messages - I was very confused and tired (I am no morning person and I will never be, fuck off with your mornings) because Dranart liked my drawing of singing Dream. Dranart was my 17th follower on twt which is a useless yet extremely funny fact about my time on that hellsite.

I also drew human!patches because a) patches was and will always be my favorite dteam member and b) it was a really cute trend and while I do love drawing dream, george and sapnap, I was also quite happy to try drawing anything but a white man for once. And I really liked how the drawing turned out.

Much, much later, I tried to draw my first slightly more realistic looking drawing. I was extremely confused on how to draw anything like this. Especially their hair gave me tons of trouble but given my experience, I think it's not a bad attempt.

When hijacked smp started I obviously wanted to participate, and I drew c!blu who doesn't associate with any side in particular but instead serves soup to everyone who visits her tavern 'The Soup House'. She also wants to be paid in stories from all around the map.

One of the events I was most excited about was dnf week. I even collaborated with two talented writers and I drew the corresponding art for two fics.

(Fun or not so fun fact: when twt had like three hundred collaborative aneurysms about the situation at that moment, that was when I created this tumblr account. I didn't use it super actively (I guess I needed another situation to fully make the switch) but I at least started the account that now developed quite a bit since then.)

I didn't really draw at all through January and February and I actually kinda thought I would move on from that hobby and fandom (not because of negative feelings, just because I didn't really have the urge to create anything within this fandom) and then situations happened and now I am here; and for some reason that is beyond any logic and my understanding I am now even more insane about dteam.

Wild to me but we are rolling with it now, I guess.

Since I got here, I drew more than ever (I actually think I might have made more drawings in the month since I got here than I made the whole rest of the year). There's just such an active and funny community here that cares about fan works for the sake of creating and not just because a CC might see it.

Unfortunately, Tumblr won't let me add more than 10 images in one post (maybe fortunately for everyone who has this monstrosity of a post on their dash). Hi there. I was looking for some advice. I have AgustD tickets for May 10th Inglewood. Some life things came up and I need to resell them. Looking for reputable places to resell tickets. I’m not looking to make a profit but I don’t want to lose money either. Places like stubhub unfortunately charge a fee depending on amount of transaction. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m a little stuck on what to do. 😞✊🏻

There's a Twitter acc called "BTS TICKET HELPER" (875tickets is the twt username) that doesn't sell your tix but gives you more visibility. You can view the tweets of others and read their pinned tweet for more info. It seems video call / Facetime is recommended requirement to confirm you're selling to a real human (and watermark your screenshots!).

At the end of the day, you may have to sell at an inflated price on resell websites (sad, but you gotta cover your own fees too), but maybe give this a shot, the video call requirement sounds like a good idea to prevent yourself from getting scammed.

Damn my username lore is long 💀💀💀💀

So I'll start in chronological order.

I made my first EVER account on ANYTHING on... Roblox. I used to be a big time Warrior Cats fan so uhh... My Roblox username was and still is Squirrel_flight2046. The name Squirrel_flight was taken so I just smashed some numbers. I BETTER NOT SEE FRIEND REQUESTS I DON'T PLAY ROBLOX MUCH ANYMORE. But yeah, somehow 2046 became a big number since it's very fun actually? I mean my Minecraft username has 2046 at the end too(A_girl2046). Anyway I just like that number for numerous reasons all tied to my neurodivergent patern loving little brain.

Then the name LuciLuck? Damn that's even longer than the number lore.

So it all started when I got into gacha 2-3 years ago(every artist I know had a gacha phase - also gacha is the reason I'm an artist now so shut up) and I wanted to make animations and I needed a good name.

Back then, I had my favorite name be Rose. Does it make any sense? No, I just liked pink. I was in my all pink phase.

And what comes after the all pink phase? EMO PHASE. So yeah I uhhh chose Lucia as my fav name because... Uhhh...

They both started the same way. And I wanted to be an angsty rebel emo punk teen. Like damn, couldn't relate more to Uzi and I didn't even know about Murder Drones. Anyway, my yt username was @lucia(some numbers) and I don't have any regrets.

Then I actually installed Subway Surfers and uhh, we all know of Lucy.

And damn did I only play with her goth outfit.

But yeah, changed the name to Lucy.

Then I went to Luci for some reason. I can't remember why.

And then... I have actually made a good video and I wanted to post it. I wanted a watermark cuz my fav youtuber had one lol, so I wanted to have a cool NAME and WATERMARK. (Honestly that one looked good for a 12 y/o with a shitty convenience store ahh pen and ibis paint x. I don't have any of my old digital art tho TwT) That YouTuber's name was and I think it still is @NerdyEddy. So I wanted something that sounded cool, like his username. So uhh... Luci and Luck only end in diff letters. But what did I see? The real LuciLuck was taken? I put my fav number at the end! LuciLuck2046! Yes. My username is based of cringy gacha bl videos and my emo punk angsty teen brain.

Is it a cool username? YES.

Also btw don't watch NerdyEddy if you don't like bl, mpreg or stuff like that since his account was filled with it. I hope he goes strong with Grey and Gray's kids tho :3 (damn I gotta see what he has been up to for the past year, I've been clean of gacha addiction for quite a while)

Anyway you all know I also went by @artsycrow46 for a while. I just wanted a silly crow name lol. But it ended in a pen crow that just appeared out of thin air that now helps me with writing fics. Meet: @artsycrow2046. Too much of an asshole.

dont mean 2 come for people but, yes thank you for not watermarking. i mean its not a big bug, i do get why some are going this way and i respect their decision, im also a gif maker and it does angry me when people steal my gifs but.. i mean this isnt a job and we not doing it professionally so i dont really find it necessary? like yeah its irritating and something we should keep fighting about but it feels like creating a brand or you doing it for recognition when it should be just for fun? idk

Hey there, ahh no need thank me tbh it’s more of a personal preference and I’m glad you respect the decision of the people who do watermark! I get that there’s been a slight height in the debate between watermarking in the fandom but think of it this way…when someone makes a gifset such as a compilation which could have taken hours or days (video hunting, finding that specific part you want to gif, finding a good quality video to use, crop, color, sharpen, etc), many giffers and creators in general would appreciate the credit left on their stuff (don’t gotta be fancy with it). But of course, like you said it can be frustrating when someone reposts your work without credit. For some people, it may be not a big deal, but if you work hard on something and someone within a blink of an eye just steals something that could have taken a long time to create, it can really make someone feel shitty and sad am I right? So I guess many people have been fed up with that hence the increase use of watermarking. Yes I see your side of gifmaking being not that deep and that it’s just a fun hobby, however, I have no way of knowing how other people may feel in these situations when their creations get stolen. Their creations could’ve taken hours, or it could’ve taken minutes. All I’m really saying is, it’s natural that people want their hard work to be recognized, but when someone takes that credibility away from them, it can really discourage them. So watermarking is a way to maintain that credit and recognition deserved. For me, I agree with you that I don’t find it necessary (ppl on twt crop out logos on gifs now too now how shameless lol) and it doesn’t look that clean but that’s just my opinion. If people wanna watermark, watermark. It was always been a thing back in the anime side of tumblr so I’m used to it. But in the end it’s a personal preference so we should just respect that. I don’t think it’s a crime that people would want to be recognized, it encourages them and makes them happy.
