had to drop $812 at Midas today for all new tires/a realignment, and then i got home to find wimsey bleeding like a stuck pig from a giant gash across the underside of his neck (not sure if one of the other cats literally went for the throat, or if he just clawed all the fur and skin off), and then i had to work an extra two hours to make up for the Midas jaunt, so today has just been A Day.

#the only plus of the day is i read half of a new-to-me lucy parker book while waiting for the mechanics to finish #state of the angie b.#i've been SO GOT DAMN CAREFUL with my budget this month. i was $300 under it!!! i only had FOUR DAYS TO GO #and then today happened #so now i'm $500 over budget AGAIN and i'm not allowed to buy/do anything fun or get take-out for TWO MORE months #which is an EXTRA bummer because the oddities expo is july 20th #which means i can't get any new taxidermied friends or bones or nifty art this year. *sad siiiiigh*#also i gotta cut my groceries in half next month. i spent $300 on groceries alone this month. that's untenable.#(and it's not like i was buying fresh fruit and veg or meat or anything. that was just canned soup and pasta and microwave meals)#so july is gonna be a ramen month baaaaybeeee. what fun.#ANYWAY this is enough tag venting. i'm gonna go stab something 800 times (finish a cross-stitch to replace one lost in the mail)#(because YEAH a sampler that someone commissioned from me was lost in the mail and now i gotta make ANOTHER ONE #and then eat the extra cost for the second shipping. lololololol everything is GREAT.)

#to list stuff off i need to:#read a book which is literally about the career im gonna be chasing (coding)#draw byte myself and redesign them a tiny bit to make them just a tad bit more original (mostly the outfit)#play like 15 fucking games #read ANOTHER book about stress and anxiety (although i have my doubts about it anyways)#and finally watch bocchi the rock which ive planned since BEFORE THE SUMMER #SCHOOL STARTS IN 5 DAYS I STILL HAVENT WATCHED THE ONE THING I SAID I WOULD WATCH #and to add insult to injury theres another anime i wanna watch (what was it again with the deer girl i forgot the title)#but im waiting until i at least get started on bocchi the rock #oh and not to even mention the shit in games i gotta finish like p-ranking the rest of the ULTRAKILL levels in violent #or finishing a playthrough im half done with in modded Terraria #or the multiplayer playthrough im ALMOST done with in VANILLA Terraria #pain. pain and agony. agony and tundra even.

whoever told me that abjuration wizards suck were lying to my faceeee see this subclass is so cool. i guess if someone likes playing glass cannon wizards it's a shit class but this girl i've got is. well she is tormenting my dm is what she's doing. good class

#what you're gonna do is hit level six okay and you're gonna #cast mage armor on yourself and in addition to that since it's an abjuration spell you're gonna add arcane ward (temp hp)#and at lvl6 you can use a reaction to direct any damage an ally takes within 30 feet of you onto your arcane ward and you're gonna #cast shield when you need to (Careful tho. only one reaction per round. redirect damage Or shield) and since shield is also an abjuration #spell you're gonna take the level you cast it at and double it. and put that into your arcane ward's hp. any abjuration spell puts hp #back into the ward. MEANWHILE you're concentrating on witch bolt. and you're not even risking con saves because you Aren't Getting Hit #so you are essentially nullifying damage that others take (if your ward hp depletes you take the remaining damage and can't cast it again)#while frying people alive every turn forever and ever until they die or go out of range. bless this bizarre combat medic wizard build #i don't have the numbers but i know a'velle took a good half of the fight's damage on her own and only lost 2hp in the fight #one day i decided that i wanted to play a combat medic wizard. and then i was like. wow this is not useful. and then level 6 hit #miss girl was standing there crit-frying a crocodile alive while waiving damage over to her ward and boosting its hp with bonus actions #gotta say. the fight was two crocs and a couple of little guys. miss girl dropped both of the crocs #NOO WAIT THE WARD DOESN'T DROP AT 0HP I JUST HAVE TO CAST ANOTHER ABJURATION SPELL. WOAG

rapidly approaching my 21st birthday is hard and weird but not for any normal reasons thats for sure

Can’t wait for my drivers license to arrive so I can be driving legally again for the first time in 1.5 years!

#for legal reasons this is a joke #SO THIS IS WHATS UP #as a youngin #a young adult one might say #I was starting to learn that some systems are bullshit when I’d previously been a pretty big rule-follower #my mom showing me how to navigate the healthcare system a bit/showing me how student loans legit have practices to confuse and fuck us over #also im really bad at getting things in on time (this is an important fact)#so when I see that my drivers license is abt to expire. I’m like ‘Oup gotta get that done!’ then promptly forget abt it #next time I remember it’s 3 months expired.#I check the date and realize that wait! in a year imma be turning 21 and just one yr after that Real ID’s will become mandatory (im p sure)#so I decide to push off renewing my license! I think that the whole process will b annoying asf bc I’ve only dealt with the DMV in-person #and it SUCKED and took forever. I’m thinking that if I renew my drivers license right on/after my 21st birthday I can knock out two birds #with one stone: I can get it as a Real ID and I can get an updated picture that’s flipped sideways so getting age-checked is faster #little do i know: it’s v much illegal to be driving around with an expired license!#I drive around for a year (over a year? I don’t remember when I first realized it was expired) j having fun #then one month b4 my 21st birthday I get into an abroad study thing and have to get my passport. which I realize is also expired. and #realize that to renew my passport I have to have a valid drivers license. At this point I also realize how fucked I could be if I get pulled #over with my expired license. so I check out the process for DL renewal and rejoice! it’s online!#AND THANK FUCK I CHECKED THEN. bc if I had waited LITERALLY two more days I would not have been able to renew online and would’ve had to go #in-person. and there were no in-person appointments until after my 21st. and I learned in this process abt the fines my state applies when u #renew a DL late and ALSO that u have to entirely retake the test/redo all the paperwork shit if it’s expired for too long. I would’ve had to #retake the test n everything if I’d gone past my bday. I was also in another state for college. idk how incoherent these ramblings are but #basically I would’ve been Ultra Fucked. anyways! got that figured out #renewed the DL and had it sent to my home. then da house floods and crime goes up in the neighborhood and my DL ends up either being lost #Or tossed (with other flood-damaged things) or stolen.#I don’t realize this for 4 months bc I am silly. also in college out-of-state. also other reasons.#finally got around to calling DMV and telling them that my DL never arrived… 6 months after I renewed it!#and they were v sweet and are resending me my DL for free. so in the next few weeks I shall finally b driving legally again #!!!! the end #mypost
