6. Favorite/Least favorite NPC

Antoine and Evka are probably Sarovanya's favorite people. Friends and fellow Grey Wardens who've always accepted him even with all his flaws. He looks at what they have with admiration. Definitely gets some couples goals from them.

Saro's least favorite person is easily the First Warden. He feels he was 100% correct in his decision to disobey orders for a better strategy that saved an entire town and will not apologize for it. He wanted so bad to punch this man in the face, but stayed his hand because he was taught better.

18. Is Rook more diplomatic, humorous or harsh? A mix of all three?

Sarovanya is definitely a mix. It really depends on the person he's dealing with and the situation. Diplomacy is usually his first choice, though he can also be pretty straight forward at times. He's got a bit of a problem with authority sometimes and that leads to mockery or heavy-handedness on occasion. He also likes being the center of attention and he'll use humor if it will get him there.

27. Is there a song you associate with your Rook / their romance with a companion?

Took some time to think about this one because while I usually have music in mind for characters and ships, I hadn't yet for for these two.

I've associated Don't Let Him Go by REO Speedwagon with Sarovanya and his OTP, and it sort of still applies. He's still the same person but he doesn't butt heads with Harding the way he does with Tarwen in his OU. In fact some of the things that exasperated Tarwen are things that made Harding fall for him. But, he still gets a shut up from her now and again.

Love Will Keep You Up All Night by Backstreet Boys inspired a whole scene in his OU, but definitely still applies here in a different way. While there he's had trouble even telling Tarwen he's in love with her and getting her to reciprocate in the 100+ years they've known each other (that's a lot of potential sleepless nights), here he literally can't touch Harding once they've established their intentions on account of the activated lyrium in her veins. As if Warden nightmares aren't enough, he also spends many sleepless nights just thinking about Harding and what it would be like to finally get to be with her, kiss, hold hands, etc. He even spends nights just sitting with her so he can be there if she has a nightmare.

I've also been associating Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback with them (why's it always Nickelback and Dragon Age?). I wouldn't say Saro went into this looking for/expecting to find love but for sure the attraction was there since he met her. That attraction only grew as he got to know her better and became quite strong as they began living together at the lighthouse. As always, he's very bad at showing/telling people how he feels about them, but Harding notices. He's been fulfilling what she needs in a relationship with his encouragement and willingness to always be there, even before they talk about it.

3. Favorite/Least favorite banter

I'll be honest, I haven't clocked anything as good as DAO/Awakenings/DAI banter in this game yet. I kind of like this one between Neve and Davrin.

14. Favorite/Least favorite faction

He's a veil jumper so he definitely has an affinity towards them. It fits him well with his tendency towards research and learning, particularly about the history of his people since so much had been lost to the ages. Other than them, it is the Shadow Dragons. He admires their fight to end slavery in Tevinter and enact real change.

His least favorite is the Lord's of Fortune. He doesn't trust the claim that they're not selling culturally important artifacts to earn their fortunes. He's a veil jumper and has spent his life uncovering secrets lost to history and working with dangerous artifacts. The idea that there are people out there looting these sorts of places and artifacts for profit does not sit well with him.

19. Who did you romance? Would you romance more than one?

This is definitely a work in progress right now, so we'll see how it pans out in the end (what I think and what he ends up doing are sometimes different things). But, I definitely see him being drawn to Lucanis. The danger and uncertainty of a "mage killer"/ man possessed, who also has a softer side is right up his alley. However his choice to fight the dragon in Minrathous cut this option short and will lead to some self loathing/angst until he comes to terms with it. (Boy hates making decisions for just these kinds of reasons, but this is the decisions with consequences game series so...) This is likely going to see him pursuing Neve or Bellara.

Bellara would be so cute with him. The two of them could encourage one another on their research and it would allow both of them to continue doing what they love together.

But I see him being drawn in more by Neve's personality. He also has a great admiration of the Shadow Dragons cause so I see him working more closely with them in the future and bringing the two closer.

Honestly he's one to kind of experiment, so he's likely to kiss more than one of them before he commits, but once he does, there will be no one else.

Paul sighed as he absentmindedly fretted a few chords on his guitar. He had made good progress with his playing recently, and since he loved music that in itself felt very rewarding.

And yet...

Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone else to share his passion? Someone who liked music, and was preferably also quite good-looking?

Yes, this too was important to a healthy teenage boy. Of course it was, and that was why the blurry face and body of a girl appeared before his inner eye. Oh, to meet the one of his dreams...it could happen at any moment and sometimes he didn't want to wait a moment longer.

That was why he immediately agreed when his friend asked him whether he wanted to go with him to the Woolton Village church fete. Not the most thrilling place to be, maybe. But surely a place to meet some nice girls. And, as his friend had mentioned, there would be a skiffle band playing. He hoped they would be any good.

Paul frowned as they walked around the church grounds. 'I know you said it would be fun, but so far it's been rather boring.'

'Oh, but you haven't met them yet. They're good, I promise,' said his friend Ivan.

'Fine then...' With a sigh he followed him through the throng of people.

Then he could hear the music. It was pretty standard skiffle, nothing that special. But there was one thing that stood out to him.

The voice of the singer. There was something in it, some kind of charisma that inevitably lured him in. He had to see the man who was singing there.

Suddenly he was in a hurry to get to the front, much to the surprise of his friend.

Then he saw the small group playing the music. When Ivan had caught up to him he said: 'That's them: the Quarry Men.'

'He looks good...' muttered Paul.

'What was that?' asked his friend.

'Oh, nothing. Just...' Without taking his eyes off the singer, Paul asked: 'That bloke in the front...what's his name?'

'That's their leader, John Lennon. I could introduce you, if you want?'

'Oh, sure, please do that,' muttered Paul. He wanted to add "I want nothing more than that", but he stopped himself in the last moment.

Frankly, he had no idea what had happened to him in the moment he had laid eyes on this man called John. He simply couldn't take his eyes off him. It wasn't just his singing, although that impressed Paul too - he clearly only knew half of the lyrics, but no one cared as he was so convincing. No, he also took in all the other details. The way he was standing and holding his guitar, for example - and also how he looked. A checkered shirt, slightly curly hair...somehow the man simply oozed coolness and Paul found his heart beat faster. In any case, any thought about picking up girls was gone from his mind.

Surely that was just because of the excitement, right?

Then the were done with this song and apparently wanted to take a break. Ivan waved at John, who came directly towards him. 'Oh, hello. So you really came.'

'Of course. John, there's someone here who wants to meet you.' He pointed at his friend. 'This is Paul, a friend from school. He also plays the guitar, by the way.'

'Does he really?' said John and sized Paul up from head to toe. He wasn't too impressed with what he saw, Paul realised that much.

Still he extended his hand and Paul took it. Now that they were this close he could even smell that his opposite must have already had one or two beers. Well, he would. After all he was older than Paul. No 15 year old could be this cool, really.

Paul pushed that thought away. He had only one thing in mind: he didn't want John to look down on him. No, he desperately wanted to be liked and maybe even admired by him. And he knew just the right thing to achieve that.

'Can I have a go?' asked Paul and pointed at John's guitar.

'What? Oh, sure.' John handed him the instrument with a wry grin. He surely didn't imagine that this younger boy would be able to impress him in any way. Just seeing that grin was enough of a motivation for Paul. He had to make this count.

He turned the guitar around and tugged on the strings to test it. John looked at him as if he wanted to say "look at that kid, he doesn't even know how to hold a guitar". He couldn't let that slide, so he simply muttered: 'I'm left-handed, so that's why...'

And then he let the music speak for itself. As he played and sang "Twenty Flight Rock", a song he was very familiar with, he could see how John's expression changed slowly. Now he didn't sneer at all - in fact he eagerly grabbed Paul's hands as he was done. 'You're good! Hey, do you want to join the group?'

'Well...' said Paul slowly. He had not expected that reaction, and even if he wanted to shout out loud "yes, I do!" he wasn't about to let it show. So he simply assumed a thoughtful expression as he gave back the guitar. 'Maybe. I'll need to think about it and I'll let you know. Alright?'

'Oh, sure! Thanks!' John patted his shoulder and turned to talk to his bandmates.

That was it...their first meeting. It wasn't all that special, and yet the world had changed in that same moment.

Of course they couldn't know yet what it truly meant not just to them, but also to millions of other people around the world.

It was truly the beginning of a legend...and of a love that would never let Paul go ever again.

The very first band I've ever loved and still deeply love is Nickelback. I literally know all of their songs and love a ton of them. I think the one that moves me most is this one :

Post Malone- It's kind of funny how I grew to like this artist actually. He's a doppelganger of my brother , to the point where even I struggled to tell them apart when showed pictures side by side (now it's easier because of the tattoos) so I started listening to him just to check him out and grew to really love his songs. My favorite is probably this one :

RY X - I had heard of him from before but started listening to him more around Neil's spotify list and grew to really love his music. It resonates on a deeper level and I find that both scary and beautiful. I'm hopping to go to his concert in November so wish me luck 🤞

Amongst the depressing and the rock there's probably an equal amount of stupid and horny songs. I grew up around those and they remained a guilty pleasure , but I think I'll spare that from the list and instead add a wholesome one 😁
