Taho. A must every time I go home.. I’d have it every day if I could, but this visit, I didn’t get the chance to have my first taste until I got to Manaoag (on week 2!). Traveled all the way there — had it hot and fresh before I went to mass, and then I finally caught up with my neighborhood taho vendor in San Juan, just as I was about to return to New York. Sweet as halo-halo -- that's what my godson and his wife are to me.. Ever since he was a child, he would visit me for his annual aguinaldo at Christmas time, but he always stood out because he came bearing gifts. Be it a special kakanin made at home or some token present, this was one inaanak (godson) who gave his ninang (godmother) a present. Nowadays when I go home to Manila, he treats me to lunch or dinner. My turn to treat them to dessert @razonsofguaguaph in Greenhills. I'm so happy to see you happy, Anthony.
