a bit loud
gojo satoru x fem!reader
summary: you and satoru take the kids to the fair
warnings: satoru is overstimulated (argue with the wall), and fluff
last part | next part
*
year two.
satoru doesn’t really like crowds.
this is nothing new. when he was a kid, it was usually just him. a teacher or two, a nursemaid to make sure he didn't run away or break anything.
he grew used to being the most important thing, the only important person in a twenty-mile vicinity.
he got used to being alone.
and now, satoru enjoys going out and buying things, but only on weekdays, early in the morning or late at night—when it’s empty enough to see just the barest of things and pay complete attention to what he’s doing.
he likes going out with you—and the children, when they’re behaving—but only when his sole worry is about one of you wandering off.
he doesn’t enjoy watching over all of you. thinking about all of the people around you, seeing them, and wondering if he needs to step in the way.
he hates it when he runs into person after person, trying still to be polite—like you beg him to—not wanting to say that it’s all too much. that he could go insane with just the pure force of all of those people. their involuntary attacks.
it's just loud with so many people. even with his brain actively repairing itself at any given moment, it’s an overwhelming feeling—to see
everything that’s going on around him. to know exactly how everyone's feeling at every second, and try to defend himself--and all of you--from them.
he recalls something someone said once about strength having drawbacks…
but, today, he thinks, today he’ll deal with it.
it's safe to say that satoru isn't used to this many people in one place--standing in line for everything or maneuvering his way through a crowd.
but it's fine.
especially when you’ve got that grin on your face—that half-serious, half-delirious look. the kind of look that would be enough to rip his heart out, if he'd let it.
satoru doesn’t get to see that very often, anymore.
and even before it was only in the middle of the night. when he would drag you around when you were both supposed to be sleeping, sneaking off campus and getting you into trouble. when the two of you would giggle breathlessly in the dark, completely alone, pretending to be just kids.
when he might imagine a future that wasn't just jujutsu, but something more.
that look on your face might be his favorite thing.
“what should we do first?” you ask tsumiki—who is looking in awe at all of the bright colors and flashing lights—and megumi, who’s trying to pretend like he’s not clinging to your side.
every couple of seconds the four of you move to the side, trying to avoid all of the other people.
satoru is particular about the way he leads all of you, trying not to wince every time someone shouts something. he ducks around one person and steps to the side for another.
you don't seem to mind, so satoru pretends he doesn't.
“ferris wheel!” tsumiki says, looking up above her. it's in front of all of you, much bigger than satoru expected from pictures. how a giant circle that spins round and round is fun, he's not sure.
he frowns. “can’t we get something to eat? i think they have taiyaki.”
“i wasn’t asking you,” you tell satoru, rolling your eyes like you’ve been doing since he made fun of you for jumping out of the car.
it really was cute, though.
he leans his chin on your shoulder easily, walking alongside you. tsumiki’s hand is in one of his, and megumi is basically attached to your leg, hands curled around your pants. “good thing i answered anyway.”
cue another eye roll and you looking to megumi. “you okay with the ferris wheel?”
“yeah,” he mutters, frowning when someone else brushes against him.
but even satoru saw the way he lit up at the first sight of the fair, all of the rides and games. even though he might act like a single, depressed, middle-aged man—he’s just a boy.
and satoru imagines this is supposed to be fun. if he was seven he would've run away already, trying to hide from whoever was supposed to watch him that day. he probably would've gotten lost and then stolen some candy from one of the many different stands.
but he would've liked it, he's sure. even if it is loud.
satoru grins, looking at the boy. “are you sure?” he teases. “not going to get scared?”
megumi glares. “why would i be scared?”
“satoru, don’t be mean.”
“what?” he asks you, ignoring the way you and megumi share a look. “i’m just asking. you know how he gets around heights.”
“im not five,” megumi tells him, scoffing.
satoru tries not to snort.
“leave him alone," you say, shaking your head at him, though satoru watches you refrain a smile. "i can sit with him if he doesn’t want to go. okay, megs?”
tsumiki pouts at that idea, though satoru knows she won’t argue. and neither will you, even though satoru's pretty sure that you're dying to be on that spinning thing.
megumi, obviously noticing this, bucks his chin. “no. i’ll go.”
“ooo, bravery,” satoru sidesteps your push, “that’s a good lesson for you.”
“don't tease him."
“are you scared?” megumi asks.
satoru laughs. “please.”
you grin, setting your free hand on his shoulder--an attack on his skin disguised as a comforting gesture--looking at him with a mock pout. “aw, satoru. it’s okay. if you want to stay behind, i’m sure megumi wouldn’t mind waiting with you…”
megumi smirks. “yeah. i’ll wait.”
tsumiki looks up at him with wide eyes. “it’s okay to be afraid, gojo. we don’t have to go.”
he knocks your arm away and lets go of tsumiki’s hand—though making sure to search around him at all times for her presence, like he’s learned to do (he's lost them far too many times in the house to do anything different). he crosses his arms. “you guys are so uncivilized.”
you all laugh, but that's the end of the discussion.
ferris wheel it is.
while you're waiting in line you tell satoru that it's prettier at night, when you get to the top and can look down at all of the lights. satoru nods along, feeling grateful that it's not night and he doesn't have to experience that. but he grins at you all the while, pretending to be interested in whatever memories you tell him about.
he'd listen to you talk about the components of dirt, probably (while complaining the entire time, of course).
and megumi is forced to sit next to satoru when you all get on the ride, you laughing at something he says next to tsumiki, the two of you watching as the ride begins to go up.
satoru pretends not to notice the way megumi moves closer to him as they get higher and higher. the way he leans into his side, closer than he'd usually get.
and he pretends not to notice all of the people.
it’ll be fine, he’s sure. it's not that bad, anyway. it’s only one day.
*
you’re pouting when he steps up to the bar, handing the attendant a ticket that he purchased for way too much money.
satoru stands behind you and watches you fail miserably at the ring toss four times before he steps in. honestly, it was a bit sad.
“it’s okay,” satoru tells you, wanting to squeeze your precious face. “i’ll get you the teddy bear.”
you cross your arms. “it’s not for me, it’s for the kids.”
“well, i’ll win them it.”
you frown even deeper, looking away from him.
tsumiki and megumi are leaning over the railing behind you, both of them watching eagerly. though, tsumiki gives satoru a “good luck!” and megumi only stares.
whatever. when he wins the boy his own bear—probably the one with the hearts all over it, just to mess with him—he’ll get a smile.
or megumi will side with you like always and throw away his bear in the nearest trash can. satoru doesn't really care, as long as he gets to laugh in your face after he wins.
satoru throws his first ring—which obviously goes directly on the bottle—and you mutter something like “show off," behind him.
he smirks at you and throws another.
after five rings, satoru naturally not missing one, you’re almost slack-jawed.
and then he does it again (because he can’t get one bear for both children) and you’re furious.
“how did you do that?” you demand, as the attendant hands satoru both the bears—a pink, glittery one that satoru will probably steal for tsumiki. “these games are supposed to be rigged.”
“then why are we playing them?” satoru asks, still grinning as he hands both of the kids the bears he’s just won them. his eyes don't leave yours for a moment.
tsumiki squeals, happily, naming her bear clementine and patting its head. megumi only stares at his.
“because—“ you say, pausing. your face is scrunched up. “well, i thought i could win.”
“what did we learn today, children?” satoru asks, rhetorically.
“that you’re a show-off,” you say, without hesitation.
“and you’re a sore loser.”
you scoff. “okay, satoru. we’ll see who’s talking the next time you lose at go fish.”
“you guys were cheating.”
“were not,” megumi says, frowning at both of you. tsumiki is too wrapped up in her new prize to pay any attention.
“were too.”
“please go find a new family,” you deadpan to satoru, looking around. “oh, look, there’s a couple of birds by that game. perfect for you.”
“if i’m living with any woodland creature,” he tells you, “it’s the squirrels. they are a proper society.”
“‘woodland creature?’” you mock, shaking your head. “did you hit your head on your ego by accident?”
satoru only grins at that, and the way you look back at the ring toss, still frowning.
your attitude today is very interesting to him.
you might as well be one of the kids, floating around the fair, wanting to try everything. he’s watched you refrain yourself from bouncing on your heels several times already.
it’s… nice, satoru thinks. you’re always so pretty, but especially with your dazed grin on. especially standing in the sun, eyes darting from place to place.
your entire presence is a blow to his core. a direct attack on his heart and his fragile stability.
especially when you’re trying to rile up tsumiki and megumi, double-checking to make sure that they’re having as much fun as you. shoving them into game after game and practically forcing them to have fun.
satoru hasn't seen you like this ever. and he's also never been to the fair, so it's a strange day.
and when the four of you begin to walk around again, you don’t push satoru away, not to glare at him, or ask him what game to play next. you just idle beside him, eyes sparkling in the light.
and he ignores it when megumi asks if you can really find him a new family or not.
*
satoru and tsumiki are looking for you and megumi—even though you’re well over sixty feet in the air.
“is that them?” tsumiki asks, pointing at a blob in the sky.
satoru looks up, wincing at the sun, seeing nothing but specks in the air. and clouds. it's a nice day outside, not too warm, not too cold.
and satoru might be going a bit delusional. he's been outside for two hours, which is an hour longer than he prefers.
“yeah, i think i see megumi’s frown. huh.”
ten minutes ago, you left the two of them there to go on the rollercoaster, after several minutes of debate about what you should do.
tsumiki, like satoru, didn't love the idea of being whipped around in the air at a million miles per hour. not that satoru was scared--of course not--it's just that his hair is so delicate, and he'd have to take his glasses off.
tsumiki, though, was scared, and you'd tried to move all of them along but satoru could tell how badly you wanted to go, and megumi kept looking up in interest, so he'd told you they would wait here.
there were several minutes of you making sure that they were going to be okay without you.
he obviously pushed you away and smiled as you walked away with megumi, a hand on his back as you rushed to get in line.
“do you think he’s scared?” tsumiki asks him, smiling happily, her legs swinging in the air.
“nah," satoru is sitting too close, definitely, but tsumiki doesn't seem to mind. her bangs blow a little with the wind and she pushes them out of her eyes. "probably just sitting there bored.” satoru does his best impression of megumi at any moment, crossing his arms and slouching down with a frown.
tsumiki giggles, imitating him (and megumi). “how long will it take?”
if satoru didn't know any better, he would say that she already misses you. even though you're not really that far away--just a hundred feet above them. if satoru was anybody else, he would realize that he already misses you too.
but he doesn't. he's good here, with all of the other people in the world. you're basically just a coworker to him (not).
he shrugs. “i don’t know. i’ve never been on a rollercoaster.”
“me either.”
he gives her a knowing look. “i don’t think we’re missing out on much.”
“megumi wanted to go," tsumiki says, like it makes a difference.
“megumi didn't argue when y/n wanted to go,” he corrects. because he doubts that the boy would've ever suggested it, had you not been there. “she likes stuff like that.”
tsumiki makes a face and satoru pinches her cheek. it leaves a red mark--that you'll surely comment on when you come back--and tsumiki scrunches her nose at him.
the two of them are almost alone in the crowd. sitting there together, both of them waiting for their other half. satoru really doesn't mind it, though, sitting with tsumiki.
she's a pleasant distraction from everyone else. and her happiness seems to leak into him, like a drug.
she reminds him of you in the best of ways. the secret specks of life he wouldn't be able to see in any other place. the same genuineness and consideration.
“have you been here before?” she asks, after a moment, tilting her head curiously as she looks up at him with big brown eyes.
“nope,” satoru looks around, adjusting his glasses. “i had better things to do when i was your age.”
“like what?”
“uh…" satoru doesn't even remember. "eat cereal?”
she giggles.
“i don’t know," he grins at her, "i lived in a big house and we didn’t leave much.”
“we live in a big house.”
“bigger.”
her eyes widen. “really?”
“yup. but our house is better.”
it's true enough, he thinks. it's less lonely with both of the kids around and you stopping by almost every day. more comforting. satoru doesn't feel like he's being pushed into anything when he gets home every day.
he nudges tsumiki, tickling her side a bit.
she giggles again, nodding. “the house megumi and i lived in before was smaller. we shared a room.”
satoru nods. he's been there, he thinks. he's seen the mess, the space, and all of the time it took to wreck it all.
well, if he's terrible at taking care of the kids, at least he can give them more than that. a house with two people to watch over them. dinner every night.
“i liked it, but i think megumi likes his own.” she tells him, “i like my room, too, though. especially with the poster you got me. and the pink sheets.”
“yeah, i have excellent taste.”
she smiles at him--because she's the nicest of all of you. then looks back into the sky. he looks up too, but he can't make you or megumi out any more than before. “how much longer?”
“i don’t know…” satoru looks down, back to all of the noise surrounding him. “wanna get some wata-ame?”
tsumiki’s eyes widen excitedly, and she nods.
satoru smiles at her mischievously, knowing that this is their only opportunity.
(if you were there, you would kick him for trying to make her more hyper than she already is).
“okay, let’s hurry before they’re done.”
and neither of them really mind sitting back and watching. satoru basks at her little hand in his, and the smile she wears when you and megumi finally return.
yeah, satoru doesn't have to think about it. he doesn't even need to try one out; he knows that this was better than any rollercoaster.
*
it's gotten a little bit louder, as the day goes on. just like satoru knew it would.
he tries to distract himself with your smile, with megumi's annoyance any time he says anything to the boy, or tsumiki's wide eyes taking in every new attraction. and it works, for the most part.
but there's that tapping on his eyes, like a signal that he needs to back away. every time someone walks too close, it gets a little bit harder.
not that he'll say anything though. he can't ruin your fun with his eyes.
now you and satoru are sitting on a bench, watching both megumi and tsumiki go by on the carousel. you wave at them every time, but satoru is looking up towards the sky, trying to ignore the poking at his eyes.
“hey,” you nudge him after he's spent a minute like that. “you okay?”
“hmm?”
you wait until satoru looks at you, gesturing your chin towards him. “do you have a headache?”
satoru stares at you, brows furrowing. you're not supposed to know anything, he thinks. he's kept this secret very close to his heart.
(if you ignore the wincing and frown he has every time someone wins a prize around him).
you laugh, maybe because he's withering. “we can go,” you tell him, a little too seriously. “i know this isn’t—“
satoru shakes his head immediately. “no. i’m fine.”
“if you’re getting overwhelmed…”
“i’m not. it’s okay,” he grins at you, trying not to feel all that affected by your concern. the last person to notice anything like his headaches, or silence was suguru. or, the only other person. “i just need a snack.”
“you just had a snack.”
“well, i need another one.”
you roll your eyes, looking back to the kids, tsumiki going around with her mouth open wide in excitement. “fine. after this, we can find something.”
satoru smiles pleased and rests his head on your shoulder. like a kitten. this lasts for a second before he wraps his arms around you, making sure that you have no possible escape.
your heart is only so loud, but if he tilts his head enough, he can hear it pounding. it's soft, a gentle distraction from the rest of it.
you glance down at him and then away. “are you having fun?”
“loads.”
you poke his side. “satoru.”
“what? it’s true!”
“you’re such a liar,” you say, leaning away from his embrace.
but satoru’s not going to allow that, so he adjusts his old, moving you so your legs are pressed directly against his. he ignores how warm you are, how soft.
but it's pleasant, like this. a bit of reprieve for his head, and an excuse to keep you close. satoru would've spent the whole day clinging to you if he didn't know it would raise suspicions. if he didn't know that you would look at him weirdly and megumi would make some outrageous comment about him--
“i like it,” he says, “it’s exciting.”
you don’t say anything.
“c’mon, don’t pout. you’re supposed to be happy. having fun,” he whispers, just like you've been saying to the kids all day.
you lean against him, eyes following the flashing lights. “i didn’t really think about how… much it is,” you bite your lip, “i’m sorry. we should've picked something else. something easier.”
“no, really,” satoru looks up at you, and your cautious eyes. you've got that furrow in your brows--the same one you get when tsumiki is frowning or megumi says something a bit morose. and, really, he would take this more seriously if you didn't look so cute. “it’s fine. you think i haven't had a headache before?" he asks, shaking his head. "this is nothing. plus, the kids are having fun."
you raise a brow at him. “megumi?”
“i mean… as much fun as he can have.”
“he’s going to lock himself in his room for the next six days. i won’t get to see him at all.”
“he’ll come out for dinner,” satoru reassures you, laughing when you frown.
you both sit there for a moment, leaning on each other. it’s a well-practiced routine, this sort of closeness. it's been written again and again through many years, a comfort that neither of you will recognize.
satoru listens to your heart closely, trying to ignore all of the other sounds and sights.
this isn't overwhelming, he thinks, it's just different. he's sure that he'll make it through a couple of more hours.
satoru clears his throat, after a moment, leaning back. “are you having fun?”
you look at him, eyes wide in anticipation, mouth already curling.
and yeah, you don’t really need to answer that. he already knows.
*
“what next?” you’re asking, for probably the sixtieth time today.
the kids are looking around, but their eyes are dreary. megumi is slow to blink, and tsumiki has lost that little glimmer in her smile.
but, satoru notes, you’re as awake as ever. looking around—missing the obvious exhaustion of the two of them. you're wired, stuck to this one indulgence--more of a kid than either of them.
he holds back a smile, letting tsumiki lean against his leg. she's slouching, moving at half of her normal pace.
“hey,” he says to you, gesturing his head down to her. you look at him curiously.
the two of you share a look, but your brows stay furrowed.
“we could—“ tsumiki yawns, pausing for a moment. then she blinks. “we could do that climbing thing—“ she yawns again. “over there.”
megumi looks where she’s pointing and doesn’t say anything. he doesn’t even look like he’s about to argue, even though he's been arguing about every decision for the last two hours. for his entire life.
both of them are cranky. like toddlers missing their afternoon naps.
and your eyes widen, devout attention suddenly on them. satoru can see it as the realization hits your face, looking between the two kids hurriedly.
then you look at satoru, panicking a little.
what do we do? you’re asking him, with just your expression.
you've got a guilty look on your face, and satoru knows that you're thinking about all of the things you've forced them into--the seven hours you've dragged all of them around.
he could tell you that he didn't mind a minute of it, but you'd just argue with him.
he grins at you, tapping tsumiki’s shoulder. then he fakes a yawn. “i don’t know... i’m pretty tired...” he says, trying to make his voice rough.
you look at him for a moment, then play along, a fake smile adorning your face. “aw, satoru. is it past your bedtime?”
“yes.”
you laugh, and rest your hand on top of megumi’s head “are you guys okay with going home now? we wouldn’t want satoru to miss out on his twelve hours.”
satoru rolls his eyes.
"you know how he gets," you add, to both of them, giving satoru a little grin--which he promptly tucks in his mind for safe-keeping.
“fine,” megumi says, tripping on his feet.
the two of them begin to walk blindly forward, not bothering to look for the exit. they are practically zombies at this point, completely out of it. satoru is quick to snatch the back of megumi's hoodie and the boy glares at him. he's got the other hand around tsumiki's arm, keeping her in place as she tries to escape.
satoru smirks back at the boy, and then he scoops tsumiki up, letting her climb across his back, in a makeshift piggyback. he taps her legs. “good?” he asks, but she only nods, not bothering to protest that she can walk, yawning again and then resting her head on his shoulder.
it takes you a moment, but megumi doesn’t complain when you pick him up as wellbecause he’s started swaying at this point—and he wraps his legs around your waist, settling into your hold with your arms around him.
his eyes close, and satoru feels a bit jealous for a single second. he looks so content.
if only he was small enough to fit in your arms like that.
satoru steps beside you, giving you a look. “you got him?”
“i went to the same school as you,” you remark and begin to walk towards the entrance. "and just so you know, this is your fault."
"how is it my fault? i was just following directions."
"and getting them both high on sugar."
satoru's lip twitches. "they were hungry."
you roll your eyes, but your shoulder still brushes his as you walk. satoru's feet hurt, but he doesn't say a thing.
it takes you both a minute to find it—the real maze is this entire thing—but eventually, you’re walking through the gates, trying to remember where you parked the car.
the two of you walk around, exchanging brief comments and secretive smiles. if anyone's high here, he thinks, watching you smile at him for the fifth time, it's you.
you're high on the adrenaline of nostalgia. the sort of memory that satoru knows he won't ever experience; not that he really minds living vicariously through you--he'd like to experience everything through your eyes.
still, he doesn't fail to smile back every time, a bit sick from the delight exuding from you.
as soon as you get to the car, the two of you quickly strap the kids in, satoru leaving a kiss on tsumiki's cheek as she clings to his shirt. it takes a moment, but he's gentle as he pries her hands away from him.
a moment later, as soon as he's sat in the passenger side, she's already snoring.
he laughs, smiling back at both of them adoringly. megumi is slumped to the side, sleeping as only an exhausted child can be, and he doesn't even notice when satoru reaches back to squeeze his leg affectionately.
you look at satoru helplessly.
"guess they didn't need a bedtime story," he says, shrugging. one of them murmurs something in their sleep and you grin at him again, starting the car.
he'll have to buy tickets again soon, satoru thinks, just so you'll just keep smiling at him like that.

hiii! can i request for fyodor, dazai, and ranpo hcs about "the romantic things they would do to win your heart" ty!
“I WANT YOUR LOVE”
— how dazai, fyodor and chuuya try to win your heart
a/n: i went through the five stages of grief writing this UHOFHO also sorry I didn't include ranpo; I hope you like it nonetheless <3 up next is husband!sukuna
OSAMU DAZAI:
so, I wouldn’t say extravagant BUT I would say that it is pretty loud
like gives you a huge bouquet in front of literally everyone kind of loud
also literally shouts your name whenever he sees you, “AHH BELLADONNA, MY BEAUTIFUL Y/N HOW GORGEOUS YOU LOOK TODAY!”
the way he brightens up in your presence is also so obvious like eugh take your lovesick self away bro
he also has a special sixth sense that tells him that you’re close by
when he does get to you, he literally showers you with affection
also, you know when he ditches meetings? he would literally attend them just to be with you, if you’re there that is
same case is when he is running away from kunikida, my man chooses to live his last moments gazing at your beauty and then happily suffer kunikida’s wrath
exhibit a:
“atsushi, have you seen dazai?” kunikida asked as he and atsushi patrolled the streets.
atsushi shook his head, but quickly went to get you, who was busy finishing the taiyaki you got as a treat for yourself after a day of hard work.
however, looks like this travail won’t end so you look up at both of them and tilt your head lightly, “do you guys need something?”
atsushi doesn’t answer, but instead inhales deeply and screams, “DAZAI-SAN, Y/N IS HERE!” which you could bet that the entirety of the city heard.
it’s quiet for a while, but then you hear the sound of rapid steps and panting. the moment you look back, you’re tackled by the bandaged man who merely chirps a happy ‘belladonna!’ as the both of you land on the ground.
“here he is, kunikida-san,” atsushi says with a smile and kunikida nods thoughtfully then proceeds to scribble something in his notebook.
you do hear, amidst getting yourself squashed in a hug by dazai, kunikida mumbling something along the lines of “scream ‘y/n is here’ so dazai can appear”.
he literally doesn’t try to hide it, but that’s like in the very beginning of him falling for you
when he realizes that ‘crap it's serious’ and that he really did fall for someone
I feel like his way of trying to win your heart will change to be much more intimate and quieter
like he is still loud and chaotic on daily basis, of course
but you will find yourself sharing a lot of quiet moments where you just bask in each other’s presence
he gets protective as well, but like people can tell he IS being protective, but YOU can’t
not because you’re dumb, oblivious or anything, it’s just that dazai doesn’t want to make you feel like your relationship changed and low-key doesn’t want to make it awkward
a protective that makes you go ‘what’s wrong with dazai’ and makes the other person go ‘I need to run’
I also see him still getting you bouquets, but they will be accompanied with small notes
they could be like the following:
“you are so beautiful that I swoon for you.”
“I hope your day was as lovely as you are.”
“how can someone be this effortlessly gorgeous?”
of course, they still include comical ones
“I accidentally knocked the tomato soup on kunikida’s pants yesterday, and his face was as red as said soup from anger. you could say that ‘the time of the month’ was a bit harsh on him ;)”
I also feel like he will try to initiate conversations a lot more (idk how because like y’all already talked A LOT)
It’s just that he becomes curious about what you think of everything and purely wants to know more about you, your views in life and whatnot
you could be talking about the silliest things and he would still be so interested and fully indulge you
I see him also sharing with you places with beautiful scenery that he often goes to; it’s just so intimate and he WANTS to make you know that you’re special
he jokes and still flirts loudly, but there are quiet moments because he wants you to understand that you having a hold on his heart is no joke
FYODOR DOSTOYEVSKY:
hm, it’s been a while since I wrote for him
so remember how I said dazai is kind of subtle in showing his genuine interest?
well, with fyodor you can’t even tell whether he changed or not
it’s just a normal everyday fyodor
BUT there some stuff he does extra
he gets protective, but just a little
so before, he used to glare at anyone who gets near you to hurt you which makes them quickly stop in their tracks, now he just instantly grabs their hand and threatens to kill them
another thing I see him doing is like taking you to places that he finds amusement in or like enjoys lol
that’s to show you off or show you a part of him in a more obvious way
he wants to show you his interests and see if they appeal to you as well or not
if they don’t then fak you, I mean then it’s fine cause variety is key
“fyodor.”
“yes?”
“couldn’t we go to a more entertaining place?” you inquire as you sip your drink and stare at the man who got you here in the first place.
fyodor smirks lightly, “whatever do you mean? this is highly entertaining.”
“1 year olds eating chess pieces is not my kind of entertainment, but okay.”
literally does stuff like this for giggles and his actual entertainment
loves messing with you but like lowkey
I also see him starting to compliment you more, like just smol compliments and sometimes you even have to read between the lines to get it
but sometimes he doesn’t even try to hide it
like nikolai could be doing god knows what, but just know it’s chaotic and sigma is trying to stop him but it just results in more chaos
and fyodor would just sigh and say something along the lines of “truly, an intelligence similar to y/n’s must be hard to achieve especially for you two.”
nikolai just laughs a laugh that screams bro stfu
sigma is just offend cause like why insult me while flirting with y/n?? tf did I do???
I also think that he will be more recognizing or acknowledging of your talents?
like with fyodor, I think the biggest sign of him liking you is accepting you as an equal and not treating you as a pawn or someone less than him
exhibit a:
“fyodor, shouldn’t this arrangement be discussed without someone like her present?” the man sneers as he looks you up and down, “she doesn’t seem trustworthy nor intelligent enough to keep up with our conversations.”
you hold back from responding and merely look at fyodor, who looks at the man in silence. he clears his throat lightly after he sips some tea and speaks up, “my apologies, but if anyone lacks in intelligence then it’s certainly you.”
both your eyes and the man’s widen at fyodor’s reply; the man is angered and he stands up abruptly, “how dare you say that?! It is more than obvious that I possess more intelligence than your subordinate here!”
fyodor raises an eyebrow in inquiry, “who said that she is my subordinate?”
the man is confused, and so are you, but fyodor pays no mind as he continues, “about the trust part, the only reason you’re going to do your end of the deal is because of the information I hold against you,” a smirk takes its place on fyodor’s lips, “meanwhile, her, I can give her a knife and she wouldn’t stab me, even in a million years.”
lmao if that ain’t down bad and blindly in love then idk
also, as we all must’ve guessed: he is pretty classic in terms of ‘flirting’ with you
but I do see him gifting you a rose of some sort and saying a smartass line like “even with its thorns, the rose is considered a sign of love and romance; is that to imply the hardships that come with loving someone?—“
boy shut yo ass and give me the damn flower
CHUUYA NAKAHARA:
chuuya is someone really honest so I think he will be really obvious and clear about wanting to win your heart
albeit a bit on the tsundere side sometimes but oh well
it’s still a lot more open that the others I have mentioned and feels very genuine
I also believe that he would want you to know that he likes you
plus I don’t think he can hide it well anyway
so he gets teased by everyone along with yourself
“ooo, who caught the heart of our badass mafia executive?”
and he would just grumble, “wow, i wonder who.”
of course, it’s a given that he would buy you souvenirs and gifts cause HEYYYY YOU DESERVE THE BEST
exhibit a:
“y/n, I need to give you something!”
you perk up at the voice and smile at chuuya, “yeah?”
he looks you in the eye for a moment before grumbling, face a soft hue of pink, and getting out the gift he got and placing it on your desk.
“aww, chuuya, you shouldn’t have!”
he crosses his arms and looks to the side, cheeks burning slightly, “yeah yeah, but I wanted to get you something.”
the smile never leaves your face and instead gets bigger as you see what’s inside. the thing about chuuya’s gifts is that they are always thoughtful.
“do you…like it?” you hear him mumble softly and just to hug him tightly.
“thank you so much! it’s amazing! I really love it!”
he stumbles over his words before yelling, obviously flustered, “t-that’s good! but you don’t have to hug me!”
“you don’t want me to?” you ask, slightly sad and chuuya wants to kick himself for making you like that.
“I DIDN’T SAY THAT EITHER!”
lmao, I love the guy
when you guys do get into a relationship, he is a lot less shy and open for affection but we are still not there yet hehe
something to add is that he also loves taking you anywhere you like
like either drive you there with his very cool motorcycle or you guys hanging out at some place
and like the places are…very extravagant to say the least
“so what do you think of the place?”
“chuuya, the walls are painted gold.”
“and?”
“chuuya, the fountain is dripping gold.”
“you don’t deserve anything less.”
Idk about you guys but I also think chuuya is a huge tease when he wants just not as horribly or as big as dazai
like just light teasing in general but it’s still so flustering; they’re things like:
“did the doll forget her keys again?”
“poor baby, want me to kiss it for you?” (but a lot less derogatory than when he said it to dazai 🤡; he really does want to kiss the pain away for you <33)
chuuya is rather protective by default so I feel like that won’t change, maybe amplified? but you can’t tell the difference because chuuya was always willing to beat some ass anyway
I see him being pretty attentive to your needs as well
like he has a bottle of water for you ready and maybe some food along with any personal essentials. he is a little grumpy when giving it to you, but it’s just to mask how nervous he is because of your smile
another thing, i think he does is write you letters
and they most of the time have poems? since you had told him about how he somehow (he did take offense to the word) has a good way with words
he also loves getting praised by you so it’s worth it even if it makes him a bit shy
now to end this on a cute note, the beginning phase of his confession included one of his poems accompanied with a rose
and its last lines were:
“once I believed love poems were foolish yet now I do nothing but dream about love”

#3 of Joel dealing with his Preggo reader : hungry
Warnings: oral m receiving, lactation kink, breast feeding, pregnancy, Joel fluff doing the absolute most for his wifey
18+ ONLY
- - - -
Joel is leaning back in his armchair on this lazy Thursday evening after having worked 12 hours today on a rigorous construction project. He sighs heavily, glaring down at his absolute favorite sight in the world right now: his heavily pregnant wife between his legs leisurely sucking his cock like a popsicle.
With a pillow below your knees, you looked like a dream. Your eyes closed as you gently hum around his mushroomed tip, suckling his precum. There was no rush to your movements, no desperate urge to make him cum: you were simply just enjoying the heavenly weight of your husband's blessed member sliding in and out of your waiting mouth.
He doesn't immediately register when you pull off his cock with a pop.
"I want taiyaki."
Joel shakes himself from his dazed relaxation. "Taco what?"
"My cousin who took me to the international fair 3 years ago? She got that and let me try it and it was really good. I want that." You sit back on your knees, waiting for Joel to get moving. He doesnt. "Right now," you add.
He's learned very quickly that once you have a craving for something, everything else must pause until you get it. Joel begrudgingly tucks his hard and unsatisfied cock back in his sweat pants, grabs his keys and reverses out the driveway, repeating it in his head: tai-yak-i, taiy-aki tayo aki, taco yaki, taco yucky—tacos aren't yucky they're delicious why couldnt she ask foR YUMMY TACOS I COULD HAVE MADE THAT AT HOME.
It takes him an hour of frantic searching of Japanese shops, and finally finding one, having begged the poor lady at the counter to make them—whatever they are, —hot and fresh for his pregnant wife at this late hour despite the shop closing in a few minutes. Luckily she seemed to vaguely understand his garbled mish mosh of the word and went to work.
He tips her generously and is out the door, plastic "have a nice day" bag secured in the passenger seat of the truck as he speeds home.
He triumphantly drops the bag next to your sleeping body on the couch. Your nose wrinkles, eyes shooting open at the sudden new smell. No hello, no thank you, just grubby hands diving in to the bag and opening the styrophome container.
You pause, staring at the contents. "What is this?"
"Its the thing: taco-yauki."
You look at him in incredulously, and he shoots the same look back, mixed with confusion.
"These are fried octopus balls, Joel?"
"Why the fuck would you want that?"
"I didn't! I wanted cream filled waffles! Taiyaki! Not Takoyaki!
"I DONT KNOW JAPANESE, WOMAN."
"STOP YELLING AT ME!"
"I'M NOT YE—" he inhales deeply before exhaling, letting his shoulders sag. "I'm not yelling, baby. I'm sorry. I promise I didn't know."
You shake your head, eyes swelling with tears of hangriness. "Honestly, Joel, if I knew you were going to be this useless when I married you," your voice cracks. You push the now cold balls away and cross your arms, pouting.
Joel covers his eyes with his hands. What a fucking night.
He knows that you dont mean it. That you're tired, crankly, in pain, and hungry. And that your dumbass husband was in such a rush that he didn't take a second to write it down, let alone ask you exactly what he was looking for. He remembered the fish pastry now, something he could have bought at the grocery store 10 minutes down the road. His back hurts, dick hurts, eyes hurt. He doesn't want you to be hurt too.
"Joel," you peep meakly.
"Yes baby?"
"I'm um. I'm sorry for what I said. You're not completely useless." You twist your fingers apologetically, which he finds absolutely adorable. It's impossible to even remember what he was so annoyed by. You clear your throat and speak sweetly: "I don't want taiyaki anymore. Can we have tacos instead?"
He smiles. "White-people tacos or street tacos?"
"The ones you make, please."
Joel's warm hand craddles your cheek softly. "Coming right up, angel." His hand filters down your throat before settling over your chest, fingers ever so gently tracing the lace line of your nightgown, pulling it down slightly to expose more of your supple cleavage. "But first, I get my cream filled pastry."
"Wha—?"
He gets on his knees, yanking your shirt down as your swollen tits—courtesy of your soon-to-be child— bounce out. You hiss at the sensitivity of being so heavy and full of milk.
Joel wastes no time wrapping his lips around your pebbled nipple and sucking gently, the creamy liquid so built up in your system that it just flows naturally into his eager mouth.
"You were hungry too, huh?" You teased.
He hums around your engorged breast, eyes closed in bliss. He softly kneads your unoccupied tit with one hand, the other joining your palm in passionately caressing your large tummy. You both feel your baby kicking happily now that mommy and daddy have made up.

warnings?fluff!
feelings?overwhelmingng
a?n 「two clingy lovers are the best sight to see」
you were preparing your bag with paint and brushes, somehow you got motivated to paint today so you decided to go outaide and to that
anyway, the bag was all nicely packed, with that you looked one more time in the mirror appreciating your outfit and left to search for anything
on your way to what popped into your mind, musashi shrine you found a little shop that sold freshly made taiyaki, so ofcourse you bought one for your boyfriend in case you see him
you had your headphones on your head which made your walk even more enjoyable, just as the best part was came you saw a bunch of bikes in the parking lot of the musashi shrine
it made you smile subconsciously, you chuckled to yourself and started jogging up the stairs, admiring the strong voice you know roam across the air
you made your way behind the little members gathered and went to the side to make your way up where mikey was
as you finally reached the fence and shushed the members that noticed you , you noticed how all of them were bruised and bloody, just came from a fight, probably thats why they gathered in the late noon
draken called off the meeting which stopped your random train of thought, you ran and giggled on the way up the stairs, catching him smile as you jump into his arms
"hello you"
he warmly said, moving his hands up your back
"hello to you too"
"did you come here to paint? i see your bag"
he said as he pointed to it, you chuckled and nodded. with that you two broke the hug, mikey going back to whatever gang stuff he was discussing with the other leaders as his hand was still in yours
you somehow still didn't feel as if you got enough affection, so your mind wandered at stuff you could attack him with. but when you saw his red sash the best idea came into your mind
slowly you took your hand away from his, making him glance over at you then back at the one talking, you kept in your laughs and fast enough so that he didnt move you got your arms thru the sash and struggled with your head too, but got it in the end
the crowd of captains began to be filled with laughters as you hugged him by the torso smiling so wide and proud
"what the"
he laughed as he felt your hands travel up his chest, and out of nowhere you were trying to make him suffer a tickle fight
he couldnt help but smile at your determination while laughing
HI! I’m posting oooolllddd drafts i had so y’all can enjoy some more of mikeyxreader, i might change to them, i might nottt but this one is untouched! Hope you like it, it’s just silly love

How You Met
word count: 950 || avg. reading time: 4 mins.
pairing: post time-skip Akaashi x chubby!Reader
genre: fluff
warnings: one person being casually rude about your weight (it’s quick tho)
The taiyaki were still hot in the white paper bag, the smell reminding you it was almost lunch time.
Looking the street up and down for a bus stop or a waiting taxi you turned on the spot. A little ways up the pathway you could make out the typical black boxy shape of a Tokyo taxi and readjusting your handbag you headed towards it, only for a busy looking person in a suit to snatch it up before you could reach it, muttering something about how you would be better off walking for some exercise.
In disbelief about such rudeness you shook your head, pulling your coat a little closer around your chubby form.
You were sure another taxi would take its place soon enough and got on tiptoes to examine the traffic, on the lookout for one.
A mischievous breeze blew up your coat collar, making you wish you would have worn a scarf after all. Although April was right around the corner, the weather today was icy cold.
Giving up for the time being you headed towards a little flower shop you had passed just a few meters back to warm yourself.
A bell chimed when you opened the door. Pots with regular and more exotic house plants stacked on shelves along the wall, one display case behind the counter held the fresh cut flowers while another showed already bound bouquets in varying sizes and color schemes.
The woman standing behind the cash register called a friendly greeting and held the beginnings of a new arrangement at arm's length to check for possible improvements.
"What can I do for you?", she asked, putting the flowers down and folding her hands over a small pregnant belly.
"I would like a bouquet with peonies and… some eucalyptus, please."
The woman smiled and got to work, asking here and there for specifics in color or fullness.
She was about to come to an end with the simple coral and cream bouquet when the doorbell rang again and a young man looking remarkably like a substitute literature teacher entered the shop, a phone to his ear.
"Yes, father, I am getting flowers. I’ll be there soon. Oh, actually, I might be a while, there are quite a lot of people waiting."
You heard an angry voice yelling something unintelligible from the phone, when he simply hung up and sighed. He reached to tug at his collar like it was too tight and closed his eyes for a second, then, remembering he was in public, gave a bow to you and the saleswoman and apologized.
"Please take as long as you want.", he said, almost pleadingly.
He looked like he had a headache, grabbing his collar again.
"O-on second thought,", you began, turning to the owner that was just about to add the last eucalyptus branch, "I forgot I wanted more. Silly me. Uhm, could you make one with… hmm, those blue ones, some of the small greens, those white tulips, and lots of those light blues there, please? And then another one… with those yellow ones there, there and those, too, please." Your best friends would be delighted.
"Oh", the owner caught on immediately, "that was quite a lot. I don’t think I could memorize which ones you wanted all at once."
"No problem. I can tell you one by one."
The young man gave a small grateful smile at the stage-play-like interaction, letting out a “Thank you very much” under his breath.
As the shop owner wrapped up the first bundle of flowers at snail speed, you turned to the young man, wanting to cheer him up.
"So, where do you not want to go?"
Seemingly too exasperated to care about talking to a perfect stranger he said, "A blind date. Which, by the way, isn't actually blind but with a woman I have absolutely no interest in talking to about anything."
"Oh fun.", you said and trying to lighten the mood added, "Why not bring some flowers that say Thanks for coming, I don’t wanna be here?"
Everyone laughed, but the guy stopped after a second or two, looking at you for the first time, then turned to the florist.
"Can I do that?"
She thought for a moment, then slowly nodded, "I can add some candytuft, for sure and… hm, something really neutral for… and then… maybe I still have some butterweed. Yeah, I think I can do that."
You stayed even after your third bouquet was done, keeping the conversation going, joking around and glad when the young man gave a genuine laugh.
"Let me.", he said, sounding tired, when you drew out your wallet to pay for your flowers.
You shook your head, smiled and handed your card to the owner. Then you reached into the paper bag.
The buns in the meantime had turned lukewarm, but still smelled heavenly when you fished one out in a napkin and handed it to the woman - the other still in the bag you placed on the counter for a moment, grabbing a pen from your pocket. You quickly jotted down your name and number on the paper and handed it to him.
“And here. If you need rescuing from your blind date, send me a text and I’ll call you right away with some made-up emergency.”
Then you raised your free hand that wasn’t busy balancing the flowers with a “You got this.” and after a final wave you left.
Akaashi was still staring at the door for a few long moments after you had gone.
“You’d make a cute couple.”, the saleswoman mused and grinned when the young man blushed profusely, holding tighter to the paper bag.

The next morning was better. He felt less tired and more energized than last night and was able to get some house chores done. At the moment he was enjoying the peace and quiet of the calm morning. Sipping on some coffee she gave him and just all around enjoying not having to do anything else right now.
That was until the doorbell rang.
DING DONG!!
The sound of it had both look up from the kitchen table and towards the door that was clearly visible from the kitchen. After a second he sighed and slowly made himself stand up. He eventually got up to get it as she was busy compiling the footage of their work so far and labeling the dates with the right videos. She was more tech savvy than him so she'd be better at doing it anyways. So she went back to transferring most of the video files to a series of hard drives with dates and time stamps edited into the video. She'd hand over the hard drives to the professor when they turned in their project at the end of November. For now she'd get what files they already had organized along with their notes.
Giyuu's footsteps echoed in the apartment before he opened the door. From where the kitchen was and where she was sat, she could clearly see who stood in the doorway if she looked up from the screen
"Hi, Giyuu!" The familiar voice made her pause before looking up from the screen and raising a brow at the woman bundled up smiling in the doorway. "Chilly today isn't it?"
Y/n? What was she doing here this early?..And why was she holding a giant paper bag?
He stared at her with his back to his girlfriend. "Yes." Eventually he answered slowly. "I thought we weren't going to meet until later."
"We weren't but I have something for you." She blinked as a giant paper bag was heaved up and into his arms. The paper crinkling with the shift of ownership.
"..What is this?"
"Some new food you can try. You mentioned getting a bit tired with your usual food so I made you some new dishes to try out for a few days." Her hand gestured to the large bag "You got some saba no shioyaki, tonkatsu, a container of onigiri in there somewhere, katsudon, oyakodon, a salad, and some homemade taiyaki. Oh. I also made you some salmon Daikin and there's one container of ginger tsukudani for Shinobu. They might not be very good because it's my first time making them."
"Why?"
"Your sister mentioned that it's your favorite food, and Kanae told me when I asked about-"
"No. Just..." His face slowly slipped down to the bag again. Just staring at it. "Why?"
"Oh... It's because sometimes we all just need someone to reach out and help." Purple eyes slowly widened from behind the screen. "I've noticed that you've been stressed lately and it's fine that you don't want to talk to me about it, but if you'd ever like to I'd be happy to listen to you."
And then there was a tense silence between the two of them before the wind blew making her shiver again.
"You go ahead and take today off. I'll just do the project myself today and email Shinobu the video when I'm done walking around. Relax and get better soon. Ok? If you need to call me just ask Mei or Shinobu for my number. They both have it. And don't worry about my tupperware. You can give it back to me when you're all finished. No rush."
He continued to stare but flinched as a warm hand patted one of his still holding onto the bag before she turned and began walking away from the door until she couldn't see Y/n anymore. Giyuu stood there for a while before slowly turning around back to Shinobu's still wide eyes, allowing her to see his red face. Slowly the door was closed using a leg with a click and his footfalls sounded out as he walked himself back into the kitchen. Paper crinkled as the bag was slowly placed the bag on the table between the two.
And then they stared in silence some more. Before they exchanged looks with each other. And then slowly Giyuu reached out slowly and opened up the large bag, pulling the edge back enough to peek inside. Dark Blue eyes blinked before a hand reached inside and a second later a medium sized Tupperware container was pulled out.
Giyuu weighed it in his hands with a hum despite the pink to his face. "Still warm."
"Open it."
He did so and immediately the smell of pork and cabbage filled the air. "Tonkatsu." He looked at her.
"Well don't just sit there. You haven't had anything to eat all morning." She nodded to him. "Eat it."
Giyuu took his time turning to go dig out chopsticks from a kitchen drawer before sitting himself back down at the kitchen table in front of the warm meal. Dark Blue eyes just staring at it for a long moment before he reached inside and pulled out a small piece of the breaded pork cutlets. It smelled so good even to her just sitting there. He slowly placed it into his mouth.
Blue eyes WIDENED. Going as wide as plates as he slowly chewed on the food. Before his chewing increased as he immediately dipped back down into the container. A moment later he so sweetly held up a piece to her wanting to try it obviously. She did accepting his offer and immediately the sweet taste of pork and spices filled her mouth with the punch of a firecracker.
Shinobu hummed. "That is actually very good."
She watched as he just continued to eat his fill. A twinge of pleasant color rising to his cheeks. Contentment as he sighed through his nose and let a satisfied him leave him as she silently watched. How long has it been since she's seen him so happy about food? Usually neither one of them has time to really cook so it was usually leftovers, take out, or instant meals like frozen TV dinners or instant ramen. He offered something again to her but she held up a hand to stop him.
"Oh no. Those she made for you. Eat something and feel better."
"But she did make you something." He again shoved a arm into the bag and pulled out a small Tupperware container before pushing it out towards her.
She did huh? Taking it and opening it let the scents of ginger and soy sauce fill the air. Ginger tsukutani. That was her favorite food. Hm. It smelt good and it was still warm too. The pleasantly kind of warm, not too hot but not cold at all. ..It must've taken her all night to make them all of this, and she insisted on not worrying them about their project. Her hum echoed in the kitchen as Giyuu continued to eat in content. His happy stomach welcoming the rare addition of homemade goods.
"Interesting. This might require a little more consideration."
She decided to look into it a bit more starting the following few hours. As promised, Y/n had sent her an email and with it was attached a video file of her doing a series of jumping jacks, jogging in place, and then ending in her doing yoga the rest of the hour. Gyomei's voice was heard in the background asking what-
"Honey, what take out do you want to order tonight? I can make something instead so you don't have to worry about cooking tonight."
His caring nature had her smiling. Gyomei was always so considerate of everyone around him, and since starting a relationship with Y/n he's only gotten much more happier. She was genuinely happy for him. Y/n was genuinely a very happy kind woman and Gyomei couldn't ask for a better girlfriend. However what she wasn't expecting was for some of her own partners and even her own sister to also fall for her.
She supposed Mitsuri was predicable and Kanae was understandable if surprising. But Sanemi? Giyuu?
Perhaps it was the curiosity that prompted her to email her back-
'Shinobu:
Hey. Thanks for the file! Sorry we couldn't join you today. Giyuu won't be able to join us for most of this week, so are you alright with working with me on it this week?'
It took her only a few minutes to respond back.
'Y/n:
Hi, Shinobu! Yeah that's fine. Did you guys like the food? I have to be quick because Mei n I are watching a movie Mitsuri leant us. Yeah that works. Do you want to meet tomorrow after classes and work?'
'Shinobu:
I can't. I'm working late. But I'm free Tuesday afternoon. You free then?'
'Y/n:
Sure! I can meet you after work by the park. See u then!'
Well that certainly sounded like a good time. Alright then. Tuesday. That was when she was going to be getting a few answers to her curiosity.
******************
"Shinobu! Hi!"
She happily waved over the purple eyes woman with a big smile and a thick turtleneck sweater draped over her top. It was a bit nippy today just going into November, however she was surprised when she saw a bouncing pink haired woman next to her not so subtly giving Y/n a loving expression.
"Hello," she greeted them both and with a curious tilt looked at Mitsuri. "I'm surprised to see you here. I don't think you're doing the project with us."
She shook her head braids swaying. "Nope! Obi's going meditating with Mei and my dance classes were cancelled after the teacher sprained her ankle." She gushed looking at them both. "So I had nothing to do but Y/n invited me to come along with you guys!!"
"I hope that's ok." Y/n tilted her head. "I'd really like to get to know Mei's family better, and I genuinely like hanging out with you guys. I figured Mitsuri could film while you take notes again so we're not trying to juggle everything ourselves."
Ah right. Sunday and Monday Y/n had to both do the project herself because Giyuu and herself were busy, and she had to finish compiling everything into thumb drives IN order with labels and dates along with her notes. Honestly she was surprised when she got a second email Monday night with another email but you were doing the project with them so it made sense.
"No problem at all. I think the extra hand will be very useful!"
"Oh that reminds me. I made you both copies of class notes from today and yesterday!" She gestured to the backpack slung over her shoulders. "Figured you'd be needing them too."
"I appreciate that. So what exactly are we doing today?"
"I figured we'd just walk around the park again. It's easy enough and we could go for some food afterwards. My treat!" She happily smiled at Mitsuri who lit up. "MacDougal's sounds like a good place to get burgers. Five burgers for ten dollars is a good deal and I can get you ten for only twenty dollars!"
"Oh you don't have to do that for me!"
"I want to! You're always letting me use your employee discount at the cafe so it's only fair! You're a kind person!" Mitsuri squealed out in delight clutching her cheeks. "And you deserve it!" She squealed out more excitedly bouncing on her heels. A sight that even made Shinobu smile wider. "Of course I'd get something for you too Shinobu."
She held up a hand to her. "Oh no. I couldn't ask you to buy me anything."
"Not even one of their famous cappuccinos?"
"...Ok. A coffee then."
That only pulled out a few giggles from the both of them before they actually got to work. Shinobu taking notes as Mitsuri bounced beside her as she wrote happily filming as Y/n walked. The crisp cold air chilling them the closer to December.
"Hey, Shinobu. How's Kanao doing?" The sudden name drop of her baby sister was something that had gotten said woman to snap up in question.
After a moment she looked back down. "She's doing fine."
"I hope she likes her dress! I bet she'll look beautiful in it!"
Ah yes. Her dress. The one for almost three months Kanao had been eyeing every time she passed it on her way to home and school. It was rather pretty but expensive so that's why it took their parents so long to save up for it. Only problem was that the old crab in charge of running the store had refused to sell it to them once she found out that a teenager was planning on using it for a dance. Even denied Kanae when she offered to buy it instead. She thinks that she hated children but whatever the circumstances were..
Had Y/n not gone in to get her the dress, Kanao would have come back rather more disappointed. Instead she got to experience putting on the dress at home and smiling as their mother INSISTED on taking pictures for her scrapbook. Imagine her surprise when Kanae relayed the tale to her much later...Which begged the question-
"If you'd like, I'll reimburse you for the dress. It's not a problem."
"Oh no. It's perfectly alright." She smiled wider. "It wasn't fair she couldn't get it in the first place. I'm just glad she's happy now."
"You didn't have to help her."
"I know. I didn't do it because I had to, but because I wanted to. I'm just sorry Kanae had to deal with Jake after all that."
"How noble of you!," Mitsuri gushed nearly fumbling with the phone.
Shinobu only hummed again as she continued her work. Although she didn't miss the way f/c orbs seemed to linger on her a little bit longer than normal. She brushed it off as her waiting to continue the conversation with her.
"Did you like the food I made you?"
"Yes. The ginger tzukutani was delicious," she said bring honest because..well it WAS delicious. "Thank you. How did you ever find out?"
"Sanemi was talking to me about my ohagi recipe and Kanae mentioned some of your favorite foods. I hope you don't mind."
Ah. Kanae. Of course she'd mention it.
"Not at all. Like I said it's delicious."
"What about the other things?"
"Giyuu let me have a piece of his tonkatsu. I think you might've used a bit too much breading but otherwise it was good."
"His? I made those for both of you because you were hungry."
Shinobu paused immediately. Feet stopping in motion and purple eyes snapping up. Mitsuri and Y/n had also stopped in their tracks to look at her. Silence resumed other than the distant ambience of others in the park around them. For a long moment no one spoke before Shinobu blinked.
"... Hungry?"
"I don't mean you're starving," Y/n explained calmly, "But Giyuu mentioned that he can get worn out from the repeated pattern in foods he eats, but I've been noticing that the same happens to you. All you ever seen to consume is caffeine and I've noticed that you seem to skip meals... That's not exactly very good for you."
Purple eyes widened at her. Stunned by the observation but stunned still as she pointed at her.
"Even now I can tell you're hungry. You haven't eaten anything yet today or barely anything at all. I know the look from my job. You gotta be alert and on look out for things with kids all the time. So after this, I'm getting you something to eat. And make sure you eat some of what I gave you guys later. You shouldn't be skipping meals."
'You shouldn't be skipping meals.'
Now where had she heard that before? Oh right. From nearly every one of her partners and sister. Mostly from Hinatsuru, Kanae, and Rengoku however. No one could've really known that she was doing that unless they were a close family or friend or very observant. The latter stunning her by surprise for a moment.
"...If that's what you want."
"Good! Because as long as we're doing the project together, I'm not going to let you two eat anything bland! I already got some recipes for o-taro sashimi and homemade mochi I want you both to try too!" Y/n smiled before reaching out to pat Shinobu's shoulder.
"Hhhhhaaahh!! Do you know how to make okonomiyaki?!"
Y/n giggled at Mitsuri's nearly drooling expression. "I made it for Mei yesterday for lunch. If you'd like, I can make you some tonight and you can pick it up tomorrow at the daycare."
"KYAA!! YOU'RE SO KIND Y/N-CHAN!! I COULD HUG YOU RIGHT NOW-!!"
"Let's finish up the project for today first. We're a few minutes behind now so we'll have to walk a little bit longer to make up for lost time."
Things thankfully got back on track and even if they were a little behind. She'd have to edit the footage later before adding it to the database. Although purple eyes kept stealing glances at f/c eyes as she politely listened to Mitsuri babble on about her dance classes and favorite positions of ballet. But soon the hour was done, project for the day was finished, and appetites were heavy. It was near the end of the day now and it was only a little bit until the sun went down. So it would be a good time to get dinner.
The local MacDougal's burger place was only a twelve minute walk away from the park and the smell of grilled burgers was enough to entice all three of them towards the fast food joint. The little bell above the door rang and as the three of them walked into the establishment. No one was in there except for a middle aged woman frowning and sitting by herself eating what looked like chicken tenders, and the cashier who was boredly spraying the front counter before wiping it down with a cloth.
Although he looked up when he heard chiming from the bell. Dark blue eyes widened at the three familiar figures walking inside.
"HI, GIYUU!!," Mitsuri greeted loudly waving a full arm as the two women filed in behind her. "OH MY GOSH YOU'RE STILL HERE?!"
Said black haired man wore an orange and yellow uniform shirt with the letters MD stitched into a breast pocket and a visor was on his head. He watched as his partner, his girlfriend, and Y/n walked in. Three beautiful women smiling and waving at him making his cheeks go a light pink before making eye contact with Shinobu and slowly smiling a little.
"Hi, Giyuu." Y/n greeted him next stopping in front of the register. "You look like about ready to close. Is this a bad time?"
He cleared his throat to not come off as flustered before speaking. "Not really. My shift ends in another hour and a half. I'm cleaning up before the night shift comes by. It's been a slow day so I'm almost done. I already swept and mopped everywhere."
"Are you alone?"
"No. The cook is cleaning up one of the grills. Did you three want to order?"
"Yes please! You still taking orders right?" He nodded before putting down said objects and standing in front of the register looking at her expectantly. "Can I get a two large strawberry milkshakes with two of those five burgers for ten dollars deals? With two double bacon burgers cola, and a cappuccino?"
"Would you like fries with all of those burgers?"
"Yes!"
"Your total is fifty two ninety seven," he stated after pressing a few buttons on the register as Y/n was already holding up her card. "I'll get the cook to work on it right away."
"Thanks, Giyuu! Did you like the food I left you?'
Again a deeper pink flushed over him as he nodded. "Yes. I had the taiyaki for my lunch today...T-Thank you."
"No problem. Let me know when you're done and I'll make you and Shinobu more!"
Giyuu again stared at her pink as Mitsuri giggled and Shinobu rose a brow but soon the food was paid for and being a fast food joint, the food was fastly brought out to them. Mitsuri wasted no time laying way through the two milkshakes and ten pairs of burgers and fries brought out just for her! Honestly Shinobu thought she'd jump across the table just to kiss Y/n for getting her such a big meal. Herself? Well Y/n had given her a look until she began eating the admittedly delicious food making her smile and only then did she start eating herself. About halfway through her burger she slid Mitsuri her own fries as she had already finished with her large order. Happily accepting them before also wolfing them down.
"I'll go throw away the trash."
And so it was offered by Y/n as they all got up to leave. Well they were leaving, Shinobu was going to wait for Giyuu's shift to end before walking back to their shared apartment. But that was when IT struck.
"Excuse me. There was something wrong with my food!"
A rude sounding lady's voice cut through the air as they turned. Y/n being the closest to the voice dumping the wrappers into a trashcan sat between their table and the register. Standing at the register was a the woman from before. Standing before the counter arms crossed holding a cup of whatever she had been drinking, feet tapping, and scowl on her face. Glaring at Giyuu who blinked.
"...Oh. What's wrong?"
"I ordered a ten piece chicken tender meal!," she practically screeched into Giyuu's ever somber face. "There was only nine pieces! And they weren't cooked all the way!"
"Oh. Well if you return the meal I can see what's wrong and maybe we can get you a new one?," he offered.
"Just give me a refund on it!", she demanded.
"I can't do that unless I have proof of the food being incomplete and you show me a receipt."
"THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS!!" She wailed throwing her arms to her side fists balled up. "I WAS FORCED TO EAT A MEDIOCRE MEAL NOT EVEN FINISHED AND YOU WON'T EVEN FUCKING GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK?!"
"Wait.." His brow rose. "So the meal was bad..but you still ate it? And you have no receipt but you still want a refund?...I can't do that."
"WHAT?!"
"I don't make the rules, I just work here."
"I WANT THE MANAGER!!"
A tired sigh escaped Giyuu's mouth. "He's not here today. If you want, I can give you corporates phone number and you can file a complaint with them."
A Vien popped in her forehead as she growled. "HOW DARE YOU?! I SPEND HUNDREDS OF MY OWN MONEY HERE YOU'RE LUCKY TO BE GETTING MY BUSINESS!!"
Giyuu tired deadpanned face didn't change as she fired insults and curses at him. However he did notice when a smaller hand tapped her on the shoulder. The Karen snapped around so fast they were all expecting her neck to make a cracking sound as she whirled around to Shinobu who still smiled at her.
"I think it's really too unladylike to be having a child like tantrum.~"
"Who the hell are you?! Mind your own dam business!"
"I'm sorry but I'm afraid I can't do that. You see you are now they say acting like a bitch right now."
"HOW DARE YOU?! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!"
"Yes, yes. How dare you? Who's your manager? Do you know who I am? I'm calling the police. The usual Karen threats and questions." The woman trembled more with rage. "My you're entitled and extremely rude. I may not know who you are but I can make an educated guess.~" She smiled pointing at her. "You're an old bitch who thinks the world revolves around her so much that your gravitational pull sucks up everyone's time and energy.~" Her friendly tone and face still did waver other than closing her eyes. "You know this can be classified as harassment which as you know is against the law." F/c orbs widened as the arm holding the Karen's cup was pulled back. "So why don't you leave before someone actually calls the police on yo-"
S P L A S H!!
Dark liquid and ice went flying through the air. Sticky and syrupy no doubt some kind of too sweet soda from the fast food place. It all went flying through the air and splattered against the warmth of both wool fabric and soft skin with a splash sound. Mitsuri gasped loudly covering her mouth. Giyuu went wide eyed in surprise. The cook popped their head from the back hearing the noises. And Shinobu blinked at what happened.
Y/n spat out the too sweetened taste of cold root beer with a disgusted face. "PFFT!! UGH!!" With a sleeve she reached up in an attempt to get the sticky liquid off her face. "Man that's cold!"
Giyuu turned to the other worker. "Call the police! My girlfriends were assaulted!"
That's when the woman attempted to run, but was quickly snatched up by Mitsuri wrapping her arms around her middle squeezing hard enough to pin her arms to her sides before with a shrill shriek leaned back to lift the woman helplessly kicking her feet out in the air.
"YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE YOU BRUTE!!," she shouted back with a frown. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR HURTING Y/N-CHAN!!"
"GUYS!! I'm not hurt! It's just some soda."
"That she assaulted you with!," Giyuu shouted over the incoherent screaming of the woman. Already reaching for the phone. "If it had been hot coffee you could've gotten incredibly hurt! I'm not going to sit back and let another selfish person get away with hurting you."
"YEAH! ME NEITHER! CITIZENS ARREST!!"
"It's really not that big of a deal. I've gotten stuff spilt on me me before. Tell them, Shinobu.....Shinobu?"
Y/n turned to the silently stunned woman in question however Shinobu just stared at her processing what exactly had been done.
Y/n...had gotten between her and the crazy Karen.
Her nice turtleneck was now all set down the front with cold root beer that had been meant for her. A sleeve was still wiping at her face which was also splashed by the unexpected attack from the crazy woman. That...That was going to be her. That was supposed to be her. But she had stepped out between the two to take the brunt of the attack. What if that HAD been hot coffee?! She would've been severely burnt or worse!! What if had been something else just as worrisome?! Or what if it had been a punch?! Y/n continued to stare at the stunned face of Shinobu wiping at her face and neck.
"Shinobu? Hey, Shinobu!" She waved a hand in front of her face making her jolt. "Are you ok?! You're not hurt are you?" She shook her head no and Y/n sighed. "That's a relief. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt."
"I called the police. They're on their way. Press charges when they get here."
Her head turned to Giyuu. "You seriously called them?"
It was all really a blur of voices and screams. Long story short the police did come back and made Mitsuri drop the Karen who immediately demanded that they arrest every single person in the place and threatened to sue them then sue the MacDougal's company and then she the police for not immediately 'doing their job' and had yadda yadda. Typical Karen shrieking. They explained their side and luckily there was security cameras for them to look at. Another long story short, she was taken away cussing and shrieking in handcuffs and Giyuu had to go get a mop to clean up the soda spilt all over the floor.
"Are you ok, Y/n?," Mitsuri asked concerned as Shinobu wiped her face down with some wet napkins.
"For the hundredth time yes. It's just soda. I'll just change and take a shower when I get home. Nothing some water and soap can't fix."
They still fussed over her face. "You shouldn't have done that. I could've handled it myself. And what if it had been something like hot coffee?"
"I couldn't just stand by and not do anything. You're like a friend to me." Shinobu blinked with a hum as she smiled. "And as I said I do want to get to know you guys better. So don't worry about it. Everyone's alright and that's all that matters. I'm just happy YOU'RE ok, Shinobu."
Shinobu once again blinked before turning to Mitsuri who again giggled much to Y/N's confusion. "What did I tell you guys?~"
"Tell them..what?"
"Oh nevermind. Let's get you home so you can properly clean up."

Hello!
How do you think TR boys would react if they accidently hurt their s/o, like, in a fit of anger, or during a couple fight?
Preferably, Baji, Chifuyu, Mikey, and Kazutora? But anybody you want is fine!
Like physically? I don't think any of them would swing on their partner even if they were annoyed so I came up with a scenario I think could happen which results in the reader being accidentally physically hurt!
He was so angry right now, the two of you had been arguing over the same thing for the past hour but nothing was getting better. The two of you were just going round in circles and it was starting to frustrate him further. He punched the wall in anger, momentarily not caring about the sound of a frame smashing to the floor. He didn't even turn around to look at it, not until he heard a different noise.
Baji-
You hissed in pain as the glass cut your finger, you were only trying to clean up the mess but now you were bleeding.
Frowning at the noise, Baji immediately comes rushing over to you, elevating your hand and applying pressure. He can't bear to see you in pain so quickly tries to sort it out himself.
He's still a little mad at you but not enough to ignore you like this. Truthfully he's more mad at himself, cursing his impulsiveness under his breath.
Apologises then tells you to sit down while he cleans his own mess up.
He still intends to discuss the problem with you tomorrow but decides to try and not let his anger get the better of him this time. But for the rest of today he just wants to be close to you.
Chifuyu-
After hearing your sudden hiss in pain, he whips his head around so fast you think he might hurt himself in a second.
Immediately comes over to you, trying to stop the bleeding and profusely apologising.
Feels extremely guilty and is on the verge of tears the whole time, it's his fault you got hurt!
He doesn't do a very good job with your injury because he's panicking so much.
You both end up kinda having to reassure and comfort each other
The problem is entirely forgotten, he doesn't even care anymore.
Becomes even more caring after, he just wants you to know he'd never do that on purpose and he really is sorry.
Mikey-
Doesn't actually undertake what that hiss noise was at first. You have no reason to be in pain so he's sure it isn't you. Looks around with a confused look until he notices you kneeling on the floor, holding your now bleeding hand.
Sucks in sharp breath as his eyes widen, did he do that???
Jumps into action after a moments pause, grabbing as many tissues as he can and running over to you.
Asks you how it happens exactly, like he still can't believe it was a result of his actions.
Get's such a hurt look on his face after you quickly tell him. He feels so guilty, like he just ruined everything. He's the worst.
He continues helping you while apologising in the saddest tone you've ever heard from him. Avoids eye contact with you until you tell him to look at you.
Needs reassurance that you forgive him (if you do).
Promises to never punch the wall again, then runs out to buy a new frame as well as taiyaki for both of you. The argument is completely forgotten.
Kazutora-
Freezes the second he hears the sound come out your mouth, he's heard similar noises enough times to know what they mean.
Turns around immediately, eyes going wide as he sees you.
Panic and dread sets in, he freezes and time feels like it's slowed down for him. He did this, he hurt you. He really is just like his father.
He wants to run away, out of the room and from the situation but he can't, can't just leave you there.
Taking a deep breath, he moves towards you, trying to be as gentle as he can with your injury while he helps you.
You have to say his name a few times before his attention is on your words. It's then that he suddenly realises he was so focused on your injury that he hasn't apologised yet.
A string of sorry's slip out, as he tries to tell you how he never wanted this to happen.
Definitely needs you to communicate your forgiveness and reassure him that it was just an accident (if you do forgive him).
Spends the rest of the day trying to make it up to you in little ways, even after you tell him he doesn't need to.

Fluff + Slight Angst | Gojo x GN!Reader Kikufuku
SUMMARY Going to get food everyday with Gojo bc he loves trying new places and he used to do it sm with Geto and Shoko ):
CONTENT Mostly fluff, some angst, gender neutral reader, implied crush, lots of mentions of food, ALL CHARACTERS ARE 18+
AUTHOUR NOTES GUESS WHO'S BACK FROM ROTTING DURING EXAMSSSSSS TAKE THIS DRAFT I FINISHED WHILE I WORK ON MY REQUESTS HEHEHEHEHEHE I WILL BE POSTING ALL MY STUFF SLOWLY MEHEEHEHHE Note that I can’t remember where I got this idea from (it's been sitting in a document for months and I only just got around to it) but I might've read it from somewhere (maybe a tiktok?) please lmk so I can give credit if this is the case!
WORD COUNT: 477
Satoru is your typical happy go lucky guy on the outside. He’s always walking around as if there’s not a single thought running through his mind. He’ll buy his favorite mochi while all the passersby swoon at his handsome self. You met the man not more than a few months ago when you joined Jujutsu High as a fellow staff member and you’ve gotten quite close. He’d always ask you if you wanted to get food after work and most of the time you'd say yes. But, for the first few weeks, sometimes you’d be busy or not feeling up to going out to dinner with your co-worker you just met. That quickly changed though.
Satoru gets quite lonely when you aren’t there with him and you've noticed after getting to know him. He's not anything he shows on the outside. He’s alone. He’s suffering. But he’s still so sweet. A month or 2 after meeting him, you’ve made it a mission to always get food with him even if you’re busy. If it’s not in person, you’re at the very least video or audio calling him so he can show you the food and talk to you while you both eat. Gojo loves trying new places because it feels refreshing. It makes him feel young again and you support it because you know his youth was robbed from him. You know that he used to get food everyday with Suguru and Shoko because he told you about it. You know he misses them by the way he talks about it and he knows you know. But, ignorance is bliss right? You're both just trying to live ignorantly happily while simultaneously healing from your respective pasts. What else could you really do?
Yesterday was takoyaki and Thai milk tea for dessert. Today was coconut curry and ice cream filled taiyaki. Tomorrow, Satoru is thinking Beijing style duck or maybe K-BBQ? Carbonara? Peri Peri Chicken? Enchiladas? Shawarma??? You always laugh when he goes on a tangent of what he wants to eat and try with you. You tease him by adding more options to the list and he clenches his fists dramatically and squeezes his eyes shut under his blindfold while whining that he can’t pick and that there’s too much good food. You occasionally have to reassure him that you have time and that you’re not going anywhere. You never fail to notice the blush on his ears when you soothe him like that and he never fails to see your fidgety hands as you say the gentle words to him. He feels so lucky to have your company and you can confidently say the same, in your thoughts of course. You wouldn’t tell him that out loud and he also finds himself too scared to try. At least, not yet. Maybe one day, over some kikufuku.

SUGARY SWEET — GOJO SATORU
pairing: gojo satoru x gn! reader content: pining, confessions, mentions of eating notes: highly unedited, this has been in my drafts for ages so
you really couldn’t understand why gojo was staring at you (well, is it staring when he wears his blindfold?), slack-jawed and obviously scandalized. “what?” you ask him. “all i said was that i never really had sweets growing up.”
it’s true; you grew up in one of the lesser clans, one that bowed to the whims of the great zen’in, kamo, and — of course — gojo clans. your parents had been pretty strict about what you did, including what you ate, with your mother always going on and on about how the artificial sugars were unhealthy and would rot your teeth so most of your desserts consisted of fruits in season. you didn’t really mind, but gojo’s making you think that you’re mildly insane for that.
“so you’ve never tried raindrop cake?”
“no.”
“taiyaki?”
“no.”
gojo pauses and takes a deep breath. “what about mochi?”
“nope,” you say with a shrug. “i’ve already told you, gojo, i wasn’t allowed to eat sweets. my mother always said it would have messed with my cursed technique or something like that.”
gojo frowns. “well, that’s just bullshit. clear your schedule, we’ve got a field trip!”
you reply, “we have classes to teach.”
in an instant, gojo whips out his phone and taps out a message with lightning-fast fingers. when he ceremoniously thumbs at the screen one last time, he flips his phone around to show you a text blast he sent to all your students.
YOUR FAVORITE SENSEI [8:23 AM]: classes canceled today! don’t do anything i wouldn’t do!
you give him an unimpressed look and say, “yaga’s never going to let that fly.”
gojo leans closer with a conspiratorial smirk. at this distance, you can smell the mint gum he had been chewing earlier on his breath. he lifts his blindfold off with one finger, showcasing those bright blue eyes and says, “who said anything about telling him?” gojo grins when you feel your cheeks start to heat and continues, “change into something cute and meet me at the front gates!”
with a pat on the head, he turned on his heel and went whistling out of the school building. you obey gojo’s instructions, changing out of your sorcerer’s uniform and into something more casual. gojo’s already at the gates when you arrive, leaning against the structure. he swapped his blindfold for his signature black sunglasses, the frames sliding down the bridge of his nose as he looks you up and down.
you feel suddenly self-conscious as you surreptitiously glance down at your clothes. “something wrong with my outfit?”
he shakes his head. “no, no. i just don’t think i’ve ever seen you out of your uniform.”
“ah.”
he straightens up and bows in a grand gesture. “onwards to the city!”
you walk past him and towards the train station that would take you to tokyo’s metro area. as you trudge ahead, you completely miss the redness to gojo’s ears and the extra bounce in his step.
you buy your tickets at the station and when you board, gojo sits across from you, long legs bumping into yours as he stretches. you swat them away and ask, “couldn’t you have just teleported us to tokyo? why’re we on the train?”
gojo replies, “what’s the fun in that? it’s the journey, not the destination. besides, train travel’s romantic, don’t you think?” he looks over his frames at you and you try to calm your quickening heart.
the train pulls into tokyo metro station and gojo practically drags you out, weaving through the tourists and tired salarymen (“hey,” he says, pointing at one that looks particularly fed up, “doesn’t that guy look like nanamin?”) until you reach a storefront that’s a pale, bubblegum pink. the chalkboard outside has a cutely drawn manga cat girl and boasts “japan’s best treats!” in bubble letters.
gojo throws the door open and stands in front of the hostess. you definitely don’t miss the way her eyes light up, practically vibrating with excitement as she eyes him unabashedly. something sour courses through your body as she chirps, “haven’t seen you here in a while, sir.”
you make a face. sir? gojo offers her a charming smile, tilting his head and letting his sunglasses slip down his nose again. “i’ve been busy,” he says, throwing an arm around your shoulder. she startles a little when her eyes land on you, like it’s the first time she’s realizing there’s another person here.
her smile tightens when gojo asks, “would you mind finding us a table?”
you can feel the animosity radiating off of her as she gives a much less cheery, “sure. right this way,” and brings you two to a table at the wide window that looks out onto the cherry-blossom lined streets. she practically slams your menu down while passing gojo one politely, bowing woodenly and scurrying back to the hostess podium.
gojo doesn’t even bother looking at the menus when the waiter comes over to the table. before he can even say anything, gojo declares, “we’ll take one of everything, please!”
you gawk at him. there had to be at least twenty items… there’s no way— “coming right up!” chimes the waiter as he goes off to place your orders before you could stop him.
“why would you do that?”
gojo answers, “we have to make up for years of a sugarless childhood!”
“but this is twenty-seven—”
“just trust me on this, okay?”
“fine.”
the desserts all come out together — plates and plates of pastel-colored sweets and clear jellies injected with vibrant colors — and you’re a little embarrassed as the rest of the establishment watches your waiter pull over another table to fit everything.
gojo claps his hands together, grinning like a kid in the candy story (technically, he is). “which one do you want to try first?”
your eyes take in all the items and you want to be excited to try them, but it just looks like a pastel color wheel threw up on your frilly tablecloth. instead, you tell gojo, “you choose. you know better than me.”
stroking his chin thoughtfully, gojo points at a pink mochi shaped like a cat. “these are limited-edition! try these!”
you gingerly pinch the little rice cake between your fingertips, examining it from paw to whisker before you (savagely) bite off half the cat-mochi’s face. the taste of strawberries bursts across your tongue and spreads through your mouth, paired with the undeniable sweetness of way too much sugar.
you can’t stop the pleased hum that leaves your lips and you pointedly ignore gojo’s proud simper as you chomp away at the second half of the cat. he practically pushes a raindrop cake at you next, a refreshing coolness from the cloyingly sweet mochi and the following bitterness of the melting matcha ice cream.
you don’t know how much time has passed until you and gojo have eaten through the twenty-something sweet treats he ordered. (it’s twenty-nine, but who’s counting). you feel like your teeth might just fall off from the sheer amount of sucrose you consumed — maybe your mother hadn’t simply been trying to scare you off when she mentioned your teeth rotting from sugar…
still, you as you two make your way back to the train station, you concede: “okay, i’ll admit the sweets were pretty good, but i think my mouth needs a month to recover.”
you mentally applaud gojo’s restraint in not making a ‘that’s what she said’ joke, a habit he passed to yuuji recently that you’ve made a mental note to break. instead, he replies, “guess you’ll have to start that recovery a little later because…” gojo pauses for dramatic effect before he reaches behind him and produces a small white cake box wrapped in blue string. “i’ve still got one more thing for you to try!”
“gojo, i think we tried all their cakes there.”
“no, no, no! this one’s special! open it!” he shoves it into your chest.
cautiously, you let the strings fall away and you crack the lid open to see a neatly frosted blue cake with white lettering that asks: “go on a date with me please?” and beside it is a chibi-headed version of gojo, rendered in blue frosting, with a pleading look on its face.
you glance up at him from the cake in suspicion. “are you joking?”
he raises an eyebrow. “no. these are my feelings. i really mean it. i want to take you out on a date.”
you blink at him and then the cake and back at him and the train in pulling into the station. you both wordlessly step on and it’s a surprisingly silent ride back, boring without gojo’s constant commentary about the going-ons around him. you don’t particularly mind the quiet, save for the whooshing of the train, as you mull over gojo’s proposal.
it’s… flattering. really, really flattering.
you bite back a smile, still staring down at the cake box.
it’s only when you return to the schoolgrounds that you say, “i’d love to go on a date with you, gojo.”
he snorts, “it took you that long to consider?”
“on second thought…”
“no, wait! there are no take-backs!”

fluff | childhood friend!mina x fem!reader | as always, MEN DNI!!!!!
i'm very festive about winter (i haven't even touched snow ffs)
it's christmas break. finally, you could unclench every single muscle in your academically tired and worn body; laying flat on your best friend's penguin printed sheets.
"hey," she nudges at you, hands still steady on her controller, playing the last few chapters of zelda. (which she probably finished over the course of the semester, but she's doing it because she wants to know the other plotlines.) "move, what the hell, dude!"
"are you seriously dude-ing me right now?" you raised an eyebrow, and you scoffed, finally moving your body away from the surface of the bed to sit down. "i can't believe you."
not a single response from her. just a bunch of clicking, more clicking, and a sigh.
you pout beside her, like the little mini pincher on her lap, your adoptive child, ray-chan.
mina glares at you, one that was full of happiness as she breaks into a laugh. "what?"
"nothing," you nudged at her. "done with your game?"
"you bet," she sighs, pressing the start button to exit the game completely. "it's extra chilly today, don't you think?"
"yeah," you let out a little 'brr..' as you rubbed on your hoodie clad arms. "hot choco could be really good right now..."
mina laughs, "tell that to my mom," she says, laying on the bed, facing you. ray follows shortly after, snuggling between the space of the two of you. mina happily pets him, "i think he's bored, y/n."
"probably," you let out a little snort as you pet him as well. "he probably got bored seeing you do your little game instead of paying attention to him," you cupped ray's cheeks. "didn't you?"
"i think you're the bored one here," mina laughs. "anyways, there's a snow advisory. we can't bring him out either, you know, since he's quite..."
"yeah, i know," you sighed, petting the golden fur of ray. "but can we?"
mina smiles, lips tight and eyes closed as she stretches her legs. "park?"
"definitely," you smiled, sitting up now. "i'll buy the hot choco."
"fair enough," mina breathed as she stood up. "i'll get taiyaki then."
hours later, after a thousand nudges at mina and her controller, you squeal in joy, finally standing up and kissing ray goodbye for a while.
mina let the snowfall pass, so that you're left with leaps of snow in the park.
you sighed, the white fog coming out of your mouth.
mina looks at you, quite concerned, "what are you sighing about, pretty?"
"pretty?" you repeat, in disbelief that mina said it as a compliment. "you're trying to get me to buy the taiyaki too, don't you?"
mina blushes under her knitted scarf, "n-no," she stutters, watching the steps of her boots leave traces on the snow covered pavement. "it's just that, you're actually extra pretty today."
"quite the sweet talker, aren't you, minari?" you jokingly wrap an arm around her shoulders, almost bringing her down to your height.
you two arrived at the park shortly after. the stalls, the playground, and some kids making snow angels on the pavement; it was all too familiar with you two.
"let's go," you held mina's hand, going to the hot choco stand. "can i get two large ones please?" you asked, handing over a bill, still not letting go of mina's hand.
you two went to your favourite seat, covered in white, probably wet snow.
mina laughs as she wipes away the snow, trying to salvage her convenience of seating. "oh well," she sighs, not finding any luck. "can't believe we're standing up."
"you've been sitting for like 12+ hours in front of your nintendo switch rig, dude, even nature doesn't want you to sit anymore," you joked, blowing on your hot chocolate, cooling it down a little before it meets your tongue. "anyways, mina, mama invited you and your parents to come over at christmas eve. she's been planning a little exchange gift thing with your mom, i think."
"oh!" mina suddenly exclaimed. "mama told me about that too," she remembered. "she asked me to help her finish knitting some scarves. i think it's for your mom."
"that's so cute." you commented.
"what, you want one too?"
"of cou-" you cut yourself off mid sentence. "yeah! of course! are you going to make it for me, minari?"
mina shrugged her shoulders, "not a big deal, actually," she smiles. she's so fucking cute holding the cup on her hands with her penguin mittens on, you say at the back of your mind, the awe reflecting on your face, and mina laughs at it, "in one condition."
"what is it?"
"buy me the mclaren f1 tecnic lego set."
"mina!" you exclaimed, kicking a small dollop of snow to her. "i am generous, but i'm not a jesus type of generous. try something a little... in my budget. i could buy you one, yes, but like wow i could never with that set."
"what do you mean you could never?! your allowance is literally like... 10,000 yen more than mine. you can do it." she fakes her encouragement, trying to get you on your good side to buy the set.
"look, you have your dad. you have your mom. heck, you even have kai-san," you sighed, trying to block her request. (you actually got the set already, but you want to give it on christmas so no spoilers!) "i don't want to be like... your sugar mommy or something."
mina laughs, "i mean, you look like one all the time, why den-"
"shut up." you nudge at her as you finish your cup of hot chocolate. you two went to the nearby trash bin to dispose of both of your cups, and went back to the playground.
"well, it's good that no one's on the swing." she mentioned.
"i don't think the kids would appreciate having wet asses," you laughed, looking at your shoes. you remember, the snow was quite thick, and you pulled mina to the little valley of snow that formed on one of the slides. you form a ball, a small one, round, and threw it at her. "merry ch-"
"no." mina threw a much bigger, more scattered snowball at you, hitting your face almost.
"i'm still not getting you the set," you threw one back, and you saw mina making a bigger one. "oh-"
you run away, trying to find another dollop of snow in the park to form into a ball and throw at mina.
she hits you, directly at the back, making you slow down a bit, "you're getting me that!"
you threw one back, one of the same size, but you didn't expect that mina had a bigger one she was holding onto as she had her hand placed on her back.
you two ran around the park for a good 10 minutes, having pointless fights with snowballs. (mina argues that it could be snow triangles, snow rhombuses, or simply just snow because she just wanted to throw some at you.)
you finally settle down in the middle of the park, feeling the snow around you, not the pavement, and mina was above, attempting to throw another snowball on your face.
"stop, please," you smiled at her. "let's just... lay down, okay?"
mina gives up the moment she sees you smile. she puts the pile of snow just beside your ear, and she lays down beside you.
you reach out for her hand, like you always do, and you feel a drop of snow lay crystals on your cheek.
and it begins, the parade of a thousand pearls as you close your eyes, just feeling the snow go and whip all over your body.
mina admired you as the snow fell. at how your nose crinkles the moment snow hits the tip of your nose, how red your ears got, how your grip got tighter, and how you closed your eyes to feel.
fuck it, she says to herself, as she pulls you to her, removing her penguin mittens to fully cup your cheek, and kissing you.
you jolt your eyes open, melting into mina's touch, as the snow falls on you two.
mina pulls away, breath staggering in both anticipation and anxiety.
you smiled at her, putting your hand on the side of her waist, pulling it closer. "do you really mean it, minari?"
"i d-"
you pulled her into a kiss, once more leaving her breathless as you shared it under the snow. mina laughs, breaking the kiss, laying her forehead against yours.
the snow falls, and it fills mina's senses— the coldness, the warmth, the redness, and the sight of you looking at her with the love she's been looking for in everything.

title: summer night magic (ao3) pairing: togame jo/sakura haruka summary: togame and sakura's summer festival (first) date
Despite how fast paced and lively festivals could be, Togame enjoyed taking part-time jobs for whoever needs extra help. Most of them ends up being the old men he met in public baths and played shogi with, so assisting them like this was no trouble at all. The summer festivals would run over the course of a weekend, and Togame usually would commit to evening schedules.
But on this specific night of the summer festival, it’s a bit different. He took the mid-day shift so that he could leave early.
When the clock struck six, he promptly excused himself. “Uncle Yamada, I’ll be going ahead now.”
“Ah, sure, no worries about it,” the old man who owns the stall smiled at him, “Thank you for your help, Togame. Enjoy the festival with that lady friend of yours. It’s good to see you with other people other than those rowdy boys.”
“Right, ha ha,” Togame laughed the remark off. He already mentioned about leaving early today because he’s showing a friend named Sakura Haruka around. Understandably, Uncle Yamada thought that it was a girl’s name, but even after Togame had explained that it wasn’t the case, Uncle Yamada kept forgetting - he was hitting the eighties after all - he seemed to think he’s just hiding the fact that he’s seeing a girl. Anyway, he didn’t want to waste more time defending himself again, “I’ll see you around.”
The scent of food permeated the air as the festival lanterns swayed with the gentle night breeze. At the entrance, people came in steady trickles, even more than last year’s. Thankfully, Sakura was very easy to spot amidst the crowd. He stuck out like a sore thumb on one of the shrine pillars, a casually dressed Othello in the middle of flowing colorful yukatas.
“Sakura!” He called out the other boy who looked so uncomfortably out of place, waving a hand. “You made it.”
A few days ago, he and Sakura were talking over the phone when the topic veered into festivals. Sakura then mentioned that he hadn’t gone into one.
Well, I almost did, but I ended up in a fight before I got there, Sakura had clarified, In the end I just never went anymore. I do like beating up worthless guys but doing it even during festivals seems a bit too much. Won that fight, by the way.
There’s an upcoming festival this weekend. I could show you around, Togame had offered. No fighting this time, promise.
And here they were.
Sakura’s face finally relaxed at the sight of him, “Yeah, I just followed the people as you said.”
“There’s quite a lot, isn’t there? Just stick close to me so you don’t get lost.”
“What? You think I get lost so easily?”
“Of course not. But take it from a festival expert: you don’t want to underestimate the crowd. Especially when the fireworks are about to start.”
They might have first known each other in bad terms, but after all the misunderstanding had been cleared up, Togame realized that he and Sakura actually get along really well. It’s not just about the joy they get from fighting, but perhaps it’s the shared experience of independence at such an early age, and the similar journey of finding a place where they can belong.
Since this was Sakura’s first festival and all, Togame planned a bit of a rough schedule that they can follow so that Sakura could enjoy everything that the festival has to offer.
“Come on, let’s grab a quick bite first before we go to the other stalls.”
Togame has heard about Sakura’s appetite, but it’s the first time he saw it in action. They stopped and lined up for almost every food stall because at the mere suggestion of a certain food being a bestseller in one place, Sakura would immediately check them out, his eyes widening like a kid trying to peek at a newly announced toy – yakisoba, takoyaki, onigiri, karaage, taiyaki, there seemed to be no end to his appetite. He munched on one food and lined up on the next stall, ordering with his mouth still chewing the previous food. He’s not as energetic and jumpy as Choji, but the same level of excitement was contained in those unique eyes.
At one point, Sakura completely spent all his pocket money for the food. He hadn’t even had the chance to buy himself a drink. To save him from the dangers of choking, Togame got him a ramune.
“Haven’t forgotten how to open this, have you?” He teased as Sakura fumbled with the marble cover.
“’Course not.”
With Togame’s connection with the stall owners, they managed to play some games without a cost. After all, he didn’t want Sakura to miss out on playing just because he let his stomach decide over his brain. Games that required physical prowess were no challenge for Sakura, but when it came to the traditional ones like scooping fish and fishing out balloons, there was still a big room for improvement. Togame taught him some useful tricks though, and in the end, Sakura was able to win those games on his own, satisfaction evident on his face as he received the prizes he chose.
As the night deepened, more people came to the festival, reducing the space between people to almost nothing. At some point, Sakura heeded Togame’s advice and stuck closer to him in fear of getting lost, their elbows grazing each other as they continued to roam around.
The sensation wasn’t lost on Togame, and it brought a small smile to his lips, recalling the reason how this day came to be.
“Kame-chan, Kame-chan, I wanted to ask you something. Be honest with me, okay?”
It was one of Shishitoren’s slow days. The fight against Endo and Takiishi’s gang had just concluded. Though Shishitoren didn’t really receive significant damage from helping Bofurin, they still needed to recuperate. Fighting one strong guy versus fighting a horde of nobodies could be equally tiring.
As usual, he personally chose to relax on the rooftop of their headquarters where there’s enough shade to enjoy the bright summer day without getting roasted by the heat. Choji came to follow him after a while, then dropped that weird question out of nowhere. Togame didn’t have any idea why he would phrase a question that way either. He was his closest friend, and even with the fiasco from when Choji took over Shishitoren’s leadership, he had always been honest with him.
“Of course, what is it?”
“You like Sakura-chan, don’t you?”
Togame almost choked on air. Fortunately, they were out of anyone else’s earshot. “Ah? Why would you suddenly ask that?”
“I mean, well, I guess I first had my suspicions when he came to Shishitoren and asked for our help. But after that, you seemed to spend even more time on your phone. You don’t even answer our group chat but you’re always talking to someone. If it isn’t us, then who else can it be? Yeah? So! I conducted my own investigation, hehe.”
“Did you spy on my phone?” His hands reflexively clutched the phone inside his pocket.
“Kame-chan, I will not stoop as low as that,” Choji feigned feeling hurt, but easily perked up with a grin, “I just asked Ume-chan what’s Sakura-chan up to these days. He told me you two have been talking a lot! Ume-chan may be wise, but he’s not as clever as me. He thinks it’s just because you two kept in contact after the big fight last time, but I know better! You don’t see it, but whenever you’re on your phone, you smile sooo much. So, am I right?”
Choji finished his explanation with a puffed-up chest and a proud smile.
To be honest, Togame hadn’t really pondered on his feelings that much. He’s grateful to Sakura, if not for him and Umemiya, Choji wouldn’t have been pulled out from the darkness and the old Shishitoren he loved wouldn’t have returned to its previous state. Helping Bofurin at Sakura’s request was no big deal for him either, it was just a friend helping another friend in need. Besides, dealing with the emotional aftermath of what he had been doing and enduring the past year, he really didn’t have any space to entertain other feelings.
But even so, Togame would sometimes recall the sensation of joy in his fight with Sakura, or the rush of elation he felt when he saw him again, or the cold dread that covered his body when he saw Sakura being overpowered by that Endo. Even their casual conversations over the phone were things he started looking forward to. Perhaps, it’s because Sakura moved his heart that’s why he developed some sort of affection.
“Does it matter if you’re right or not?”
“Well, of course!” Choji plopped himself next to him, his face filled with some type of concern, “Look, Kame-chan, if I didn’t bring you here in Shishitoren, you wouldn’t even have a group of people to hang out with. But with Sakura-chan, he’s someone you connected with on your own. And you genuinely seem to like him. I think if you like someone, you should spend more time with them. Yeah?”
“Why do I feel like you already have something in mind?”
“That’s right!” Choji jumped up in excitement. Of course, he already had a plan. “So, I know you do part-time during the festivals, and there’s one coming up very soon. Isn’t it a great idea to invite him?”
If Choji had set his mind onto something, it would be difficult to dissuade him from it. There was no choice but to hear him out.
“You seem awfully excited about this.”
Choji had smiled so widely then, “I like seeing you happy, Kame-chan.”
And thus, this night was developed. Between the two of them, it was always Choji doing the planning anyway, and he the execution.
By some miracle, Togame and Sakura were able to drop by every single stall before the night ended. There were still a lot of people though, as everyone was waiting for the fireworks. Since they were just waiting for it as well, Togame suggested heading to a spot which would give them an unobstructed view of the sky.
As they were walking along a less crowded path, their senses were alerted with a familiar sound: a group of troublemakers cornering some defenseless festivalgoers.
“We’re really…uncomfortable right now,” they heard a girl say in a trembling voice.
“C’mon now, it’s fun to enjoy the festival with a bigger group, yeah?”
“Hey, they already said no.” Sakura called out, aggressively biting into the last dango he had. “You stupid or what?”
“Are these your friends?” The guy who seemed to be their leader sneered, “Mind your own business, boy.”
The rest of his group shifted their attention to the two of them, recognizing that they wouldn’t go without a fight. They bore the usual air of common rascals, nothing that Sakura have not handled before, for sure.
“You’re annoying me, and that’s certainly my business.”
Togame couldn’t help but smile at seeing once again how meddlesome Sakura could be when it comes to saving people he didn’t even know. That was how they first met, after all. Being on the receiving end of his ire was particularly annoying at the time, but now that they’re on the same side, he could admire his reckless heroism a bit.
“Now, don’t just forget me.” Togame carefully placed the bag of prizes they’ve collected throughout the night on the ground before getting into a fighting stance, “The firework’s starting soon, Sakura.”
“Heh, we’ll finish these bastards off before that.”
In no time at all, Sakura and Togame knocked down all the troublemakers. They were nothing more than light exercise. As the thugs scrambled off, the group of friends Sakura and Togame saved went up to them to thank them profusely. With a dismissive wave and a smile, Togame sent them off, “Enjoy the rest of your night.”
“Well, there goes your promise,” Sakura remarked as he patted his jacket clean.
“Ah…I did say there will be no fighting tonight,” Togame grinned sheepishly. Choji was the one who suggested making that disclaimer, saying it would pre-empt a peaceful atmosphere. So much for that. “I may have lied a bit. I do get into fights in these festivals a lot, too.”
“Same type of idiots?”
“Always.”
“No wonder they like hiring you here. You must be like a free security hire.”
Suddenly, there was a crackle in the air. Then the sky was illuminated by the first fireworks of the night. They didn’t have time to get a better view now, but the show was still decently visible from their spot. Since this was at the outer edge of the festival grounds, there were less people around to block their sight.
“Well, I guess we can watch here.” Togame turned to face the sky, standing close to Sakura. He’s aware of their distance by how he could feel Sakura’s warmth next to him.
A second set of fireworks shot up, filling the night sky with flower-like sparkles.
“Togame.”
“Hm?” He turned to face Sakura then. Instead, he was met with the back of his hair and a hand that was as red as his ears, scratching the back of his neck.
“Was this…was this night a date?” The last word was almost incomprehensible, as if he couldn’t believe he was saying it himself. If not for the fireworks fizzling out at the right time, Togame might not have heard it.
In fact, even Togame couldn’t believe he was hearing it from Sakura. Of course there was an intent from him, but Togame didn’t really know how Sakura perceives affection that was directed towards him.
“Do you want it to be?” He asked softly.
Togame didn’t know it was possible, but when Sakura whipped around at his answer, his face became even redder. In the middle of a fight, Sakura is beautifully captivating, but when he’s flustered like this…he could be so adorable.
“You don’t have to answer tha—”
“No. I mean, yes!” Sakura suddenly blurted out, cutting a surprised Togame off. “Yes, this…was a date. Tsubakino told me, if you spend time with someone you liked, and you enjoyed their company, then it’s a date.”
“That sounds reasonable.” A third set of fireworks lit up the sky, cloaking the surroundings in a warm glow, “I like you. I enjoyed your company. If anything, I’d like to do things like this some more.”
It’s a confession as far as confessions go, especially if directed for someone like Sakura. Togame knew what he wanted to confess, and he even wanted to say a lot of things, but he also knew that Sakura tends to get embarrassed so easily and he didn’t want to chase him away. So, for now, he settled for simple words, hoping to get the point across without overwhelming the other boy.
“Ah, I’m feeling it again,” Sakura placed a hand on his chest as if feeling for his heartbeat, “Back then on our one-on-one, when you returned to the stage, I felt that I wanted to know you better. They told me it’s because I grew to like you.”
“Did you?”
“Yeah, just how I liked my friends.” Sakura looked into his eyes then, and Togame felt what it’s like for one’s heart to skip a beat, “But I think it’s different now.”
For someone like Sakura, that in itself was a whole confession.
Another set of fireworks shot up in the air, and this time, they stood together with hands intertwined and watched the sky until the very last glitter faded into the night.
Right then, Togame came to realize, there was also warmth in taking comfort in the gentleness of spring.

Kinokuniya Trip!
Today I had my first outing in ages… we went to the Japanese bookstore… it was soooo crowded and hot!!
I wasn’t able to look as well as I would have liked, but I did get a shot of the shelf with all the kuro manga and art books.
They sadly did not have Gfantasy or the other magazines that have had kuro featured, but I was able to pick up a few books I’ve had my eye on for a while.
They also didn’t have any of the kuro manga in Japanese that I could find… but I also could not for the life of me figure out how the books were organized… it didn’t seem like it was in Japanese OR English alphabetical order…. I was disappointed bc I had hoped to get vol 34.
But after we got to go to a Korean soft serve and taiyaki place, and I was able to try red bean and nutella… they were both SO GOOD.
I will definitely go back, maybe on a day I have a doc appointment in the city and feel well enough since I think weekends are insane there….
BTW if anyone finds anywhere you can buy the new gfantasy and have it sent outside Japan, let me know because so far I’ve only found amazon has restocked and they won’t ship it out of Japan 💔💔

Happy Charm - Educe 10
Season: Spring Characters: Sora, Jun, Subaru, Tatsumi, Eichi Translators & Proofreaders: taiyaki-translations, citrinesea, toujokaname
<The day of the treasure hunt program broadcast>
Sora: Ah, the commercial ended!
Jun: The contents of this mission are... Ahh, so this was one of them, huh?
Subaru: We didn't go this way, right~
Sora: It's kinda refreshing seeing what the other teams did~♪
Tatsumi: Oh? It looks like they've already figured out the answer.
Sora: HaHa~! They got it right~♪
Tatsumi: Were they the child actors team? It amazed me to see how capable they were at such a young age.
Jun: Speaking of which, didn't you meet them during the recording, Tatsumi-senpai?
Tatsumi: Yes, right after I parted ways with you all.
They asked me if I had seen the place in a photo, and it happened to be near the shop we were heading to, so I showed them the way.
I never expected that rehearsing for the town walking shoot would be beneficial in such a manner.
In addition to the photo hints, they also had many questions related to the area.
Sora: Yeah! There was a question where you had to guess the name of a famous sweet. It was very tasty~☆
Tatsumi: Fufu. I was surprised to find that when I bought it as a souvenir, Jun-san's group had bought the same thing ♪
Jun: Man, that was so tasty... I'm glad Sakura-kun seemed to like it too.
Subaru: Ah, while we were chatting, our scenes appeared on the screen!
Sora: HiHi~♪ You went straight to Mido-chan, Sparkling Onii~san~
Subaru: It's 'cause I didn’t expect to meet him there. Something about that got me excited, y'know ☆
Sora: Fufu, Sora was happy to meet Mido-chan and the others during the recording too!
Jun: That's a priceless reaction from Takamine-kun, huh?
…Speakin' of which, what happened to him?
Tatsumi: I tried asking him to watch it together with us, but he refused.
He did watch the one that was broadcasted the other day, though.
I've heard that the scene where everyone met up has become quite the talk of the town. The staff was happy about the good advertisement it brought too.
I would like to thank Eichi-san for preparing such a surprise… But I'm not so sure I can celebrate too much after hearing about the final results.
Jun: No, no, it wasn't your fault that we didn't get first place, Tatsumi-senpai!
Subaru: After this, the kids from the child actors team that Kazehaya-senpai and Takamin met got first place, didn’t they~
Sora: If we had found one more treasure, we would have tied for first place.
But Sora is already happy just getting to treasure hunt with Sparkling Onii~san and Jun-chan-senpai!
Jun: Haha, if Harukawa-kun, the guy who invited me, is happy with it, then that’s the best, right?
It's been a while since I've been on a variety show, so it was refreshing ♪
Subaru: Mm hm! It was a lot of fun clearing the different missions~♪
Sora: HuHu~! We made up the best party~ Sora hopes we can go on another adventure together!
Tatsumi: Though it's not a program, I heard that treasure hunt events are held from time to time.
Jun: It could be interesting joining an event like that when I've got the free time, huh?
Subaru: Great! Next time, let's go with Takamin and Kazehaya-senpai!
Sora: A new adventure for us~! Sora is really looking forward to it!
Eichi: Fufu, what's all the excitement about?
Subaru: Ah, Eichi-senpai! Did you just finish work? Welcome back~!
Eichi: Yes, I'm back. …Ah, I see. Today is the broadcast of the program.
Jun: Ahaha, try 'n remember the programs you show up on, won't you~?
Sora: HeHe~! Eichi-senpai, come watch with us~. Sit next to Sora!
Eichi: Sure. If that's the case, I'll just slip right in, thank you.
Would you wait a moment while I prepare drinks?
Subaru: Ah, I'll come too~! I'm gonna go and grab some snacks~☆ Do you guys want anything to drink~?
Subaru: The snacks~… Ah, over here ♪
Eichi: In the end, it looks like that treasure chest was never found, right?
Subaru: That treasure chest…?
Ahh, you mean that treasure chest I went looking for? That’s right.
What’s the matter, why'd you suddenly bring it up?
Eichi: Again, I sincerely apologize for what happened.
Subaru: Don't be too hung up over it. It's already over, isn't it?
Besides, you helped us out with the treasure hunt after, didn’t you?
Eichi: I only helped halfway, though. I received an urgent call from the office and had to leave for ES immediately.
Subaru: That's fine, that's fine. We found two treasure chests before you went back to ES.
Winning and losing is important, but it's just like Yellow Kid said — I had fun finding the treasure with everyone ♪
Eichi: Yes, I think it was a very fitting job for you guys.
Subaru: Well, I still think it’s kinda unfair that Eichi-senpai was working with Anzu like that, y'know~?
If the staff hadn't forgotten to put something in that box, Anzu would've still been working with us.
Eichi: And because of that, you were interrogating Anzu-chan too.
It was rare to see Anzu-chan so flustered ♪
…Come to think of it, you didn't interrogate me very much at that time, though?
I know you trust Anzu-chan, but I thought that you'd have at least suspected me of being up to something.
Subaru: If you say it like that, it makes it seem like I don't trust you?
Eichi: Oh, is that not the case?
Subaru: Not really? I guess I never figured Eichi-senpai was planning anything bad~
If that had been the case, Anzu wouldn't have been with you.
Eichi: Well, that's true. …But there was a chance I could have been trying to take advantage of her too, you know.
Subaru: Eichi-senpai, you like plotting all sorts of things behind the scenes, don't you?
But you’re always thinking of us too, right?
Eichi: ......?
Subaru: You said that you like us, that you love us, didn’t you?
The way you show it is kinda weird, but Eichi-senpai is working for our sake, without a doubt~
That's what I was thinking… Am I wrong?
Eichi: …Fufu, I see.
That's surprising. I can't believe you were thinking of me in that way.
However, I can't praise you for letting your guard down like that. If you show your back to an opponent like me, you might just find it stabbed, you know? (1)
Subaru: You're admitting that on your own?
…Well, we'll shine so brightly that Eichi-senpai won't have to do that.
That's what you want the most, right?
Eichi: ......
Subaru: …That's right. Let's go on a variety show together properly.
Trickstar and fine together. Since Trickstar has more experience in this kinda stuff, we'll take the lead ☆
Eichi: That's not really a marketing point of fine's, though…
But if we're with Subaru-kun and the others, fine might be able to shine on the same stage.
With you, who can naturally bring out the individual charm of each idol ♪ (2)
Translation Notes: 1. Eichi brings up the phrase "寝首を掻く" (nekubi wo kaku) which literally means "to cut someone's neck in his/her sleep." In other words, to catch someone off guard by dirty tricks or despicable means. 2. Or rather, Eichi says Subaru can "educe" the individual charm of idols when they're with him.

Kiko update: yesterday would have been my fourth anniversary.
So I decided to take the day off and do a few things for myself. I have some serious agoraphobia that started developing during lockdown a few years ago and has only gotten worse. Instead of staying inside and pretending the rest of the world doesn’t exist, I went to HMart and Daiso and Kinokuniya, and tried a revolving sushi place I’d wanted to try since I first saw it three years ago. I channeled my Rinko energy as best I could, and I’m very proud of myself for how much I accomplished yesterday. I tried a few new things, I got some journaling stuff, I got sushi and taiyaki, and ate alone at a restaurant for the first time since long before I met my ex-husband. Before leaving the house, I was terrified. But I had a great time yesterday.
As for writing, I’ve been writing a bit here and there, but I found myself not enjoying it as much as I used to so I had to take a step back to keep from burning out on it. I might post another lil preview of what I’ve been working on later today.
I hope you’re all doing well, and that those starting a new school year have a great fall semester! I love hearing updates from you so please feel free to tell me how you’re doing 😊
- Kiko 💕
