thinking about age regressor Akechi... i think his regression would be mostly involuntary during canon which has so much opportunity for angst potential, especially if he doesn't know what regression is, but also soft hurt/comfort. on some of the days that Akechi comes in to have coffee, away from the bustle of Tokyo and the stress of life, maybe he'd be able to truly relax in the peaceful environment of Leblanc. Akira would notice that he has his quiet days, and while he doesn't really understand why, he knows that Akechi doesn't need the silence to be filled, so he sits beside him as they work on mundane tasks that don't require much concentration. maybe post-canon Akechi would deny that part of himself, trying to will it away, but eventually with time and patience (from himself and Akira), he would slowly begin to accept it and take comfort in regression as a coping mechanism. It may not be often, but he knows that whenever he does regress he'll have a comforting environment to come home to and that would be enough to ease his nerves.

I love the golden verse so much i just want to thank you for writing it. Even though obviously you wrote it bc u wanted to, i get so much enjoyment from it to see agere content of my fav game and just.. love love love. Esp the newest one with yusuke is so so sweet, i love how caring akira is to everyone its so him lol. And even though I get the sense that goro isnt your favorite character in p5… As a super huge fan of him (he is just so special to me) im really grateful that you seem to understand his character and write him in a way that isnt just massacring him lol. Like i just love how you write him in golden verse and dont completely woobify him while still honoring that softer side of him just just…. I just love it so much and if u are taking rq for regressuary id love to see more of him and akira post canon golden verse lol. Their relationship dynamic is so special to me, and its written so well in the bronze medal. (If not taking rq dw about that or anything, just rambling to you abt how much i love and appreciate the series lol)

GOD the amount of love goldenverse gets is so crazy to me. Like, it's one of the few things that hasn't been soured for me in the slightest, some of the few old fics I can go back and reread because ALSKDFJASKL it reminds me of all the nice things people have pointed out and i can go "OH YEAH WAIT THAT IS GOOD!!!"

So like, legitimately thank you for taking the time out of your day to share this with me. It means more than you can possibly know <333 Honestly yeah you hit the nail on the head though LOL Akechi is my least favorite character in P5. Nothing that he has going on really appeals all that much to me, so it makes me happy to hear that people like my characterization of him. Sometimes the fan interpretations get to me so I have to begrudgingly do him justice ALDFKJA

I actually have all my regressuary fics planned out, and most of them done!! BUT if you'd ever like to talk more about goldenverse, including about Akechi, I'd really love that!! So I age regress quite a bit. Age regression is a coping mechanism brought on by stress, and considering how stressful recent events have been, I’ve been doing it a lot more lately.

(I mean, pastels and plushies are half of my personality anyways.)

So since Goro is one of my favorite characters, I thought I’d do a little projecting and start messing around with AgeRe Goro and Caregiver Akira!

Headcanons

🍬 Goro had some age regressive tendencies before, but they really got brought on strong after surviving Shido’s ship. It essentially became his survival instinct in order to process everything that had happened to him

🍬 He didn’t really have much of a childhood anyways, so he absolutely takes advantage of this space as much as possible

🍬 He likes little space because he doesn’t feel subject to pressure and labels as much and he doesn’t have the pressure to be “grown up”

🍬 His favorite things in small space are sweets, pastels, and soft things like plushies. He also really enjoys kids’ shows like Featherman and Pretty Cure!

🍬 His favorite Sanrio character is Cinnamoroll because he also loves sweets!

🍬 Akira is already a very nurturing guy, so when he found out about Goro’s age regression, he immediately adapted to a caregiver role

🍬 He’s the one funding Goro’s plushie addiction. Their apartment is drowning in them.

🍬 He loves to bake with Goro and to take him out to get treats like ice cream!

🍬 He’s learning to sew so he can make his own plushies to give Goro, and to fix them up if they get damaged

🍬 Goro’s regression unfortunately comes with some self-injurious behavior (head banging and scratching) when he’s really upset, so Akira helps him de-escalate and redirect his behavior to something helpful and safe

🍬 Akira loves talking with little Goro because he’s a lot more open then regular Goro and has a lot of really interesting observations because little Goro sees the beauty in things big Goro doesn’t.

🍬 They love each other a real lot!
