Yep! Got home last night, after riding about 40 miles (25 miles before catching the bus, 15 after.) About 330 miles of riding over 8 days. Todayecovery day, as I give my body some rest and clean up and sort out. Wasco, Oregon. 30 miles in. The last couple hours have been taxing, as I've climbed up from the Columbia River on a 90F/32C day with little in the way of shade. Enjoying some post ride beers after today's headwind packed days. The brewery is playing "90s Club Mix" which means the majority of the songs are from 1989 to 1993, the same years I was in high school. It's hard to not hear songs and think "Freshman Year." And when "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer came on, I realized we both live(d) in Oakland, though not at the same time that song came out. Ironically, they haven't played 2 Live Crew, only because a song of theirs played through my head earlier. (The rest of the tour's soundtrack was mostly The Clash's Sandinista, with some Bob Welch era Fleetwood Mac (Mystery To Me) thrown in.
