General

Alyx is sort of the brains of operation, while Gordom carries out the acts. but that doesn't mean she can't get her hands dirty.

They are very selfish, and do not want you to talk to anyone outside of their friend zones.

Their methods of kidnapping you could go many ways, I assume Alyx would slow you down, while Gordon would finish you off with a crowbar hit to the head.

As much as they think of you, you only appear to be their toy. A stress reliever if you will, Though they will do anything for you if you would just ask.

Protective

You aren't allowed to leave their sight, or go outside even. You are trapped inside of white forest. Though the place may be massive its no fun place to be stuck in all day.

If you are miraculously with them outside, and you happen to get hurt or in a gunfight. Alyx will constantly look you over. Even to the point of stripping you in public to make sure nothing hurt you.

If you are hurt, Gordon would probably go mental and kill whatever it was that killed you. Over and over again even after its well dead.

After everything has settled down. (And you get your clothes back) they will be extra clingy. Especially Gordon, who will literally carry you from then on.

At least you're safe right? You don't have to worry about anything anything anymore, especially the combine.

If you try and ask what is going on outside, they will twist it, saying everything is going fine with the resistance. Even if all hell is loose up there, they don't want your pretty little head to worry.

What she means: Gordom Freeman has been in a constant state of stress since the beginning of the Resonance Cascade. Despite being in stasis for 20 years he hasn't had time to process any of the events that have transpired in the 2 or 3 weeks he's been conscious. He's gone from fighting for his life to get out of Black Mesa and stopping an alien invasion to running for his life in an apocalyptic future where most of the people he knew are dead, one catastrophe to the next with absolutely no down time. To top it off, he has had no agency in his actions whatsoever, only doing what others tell him, from the scientists in Black Mesa, to the resistance members in City 17, and finally Gman, who hasn't actually told him to do anything, just given him the vague threat that if he doesn't comply he'll kill Gordon. Plus adding onto the fact that he's so hopped up on morphine and various other chemicals the HEV suit pumps him with to keep him functioning for days on end without sleep that he probably only has the mental capacity to do what others tell him. He's never able to just take a moment to breath because something is always out to kill him specifically.
