This came to me in a vision when I was working last Friday

but every time I listen to the start and there's all those other adventure seeds, I really really want to know what they all might lead to! So many possibilities!

I kind of want to write some MouthxData content, but the sheer implications of the end of FRR Goonies is a rabbit hole littered with traps.

This is how far my head canon has gotten if anyone wants to add to it/is interested:

Data enters college early and founds a company called AlphaZeta that is basically Google Alphabet or whatever they are calling themselves now. This along with the free energy essentially accelerates the Earth's tech tree by a few decades and my brain kind of taps out there.

Mouth becomes a psychologist because it's really easy to get people to have breakthroughs when you just have to touch them in order to get a truthful answer to a question. It also helped him learn how to 'lie' while telling the truth and (sort of) get over his dad abandoning him. Of course Gordie is his cat/friend for a really long time because the ability to talk also came with a human lifespan and you can't convince me otherwise.

Brand and Clink get married. It's a 'date a while then break up for a few years then reconnect' thing, but it works out and that is non-negotiable. Do Data and Mouth finally get together at the wedding after years of dancing around one another? Of course. Brand and Clink also open a gym. He does the gym stuff, she does the business stuff. It was her idea.

Mikey probably goes to Westpoint or something to utilize his leadership and new fighting skills. I could see him eventually becoming a politician, but one of the good ones that actually care because they 'made everyone Goonies'.

Chunk... I don't know, starts an ice cream company that is wildly successful. He comes up with crazy flavor combinations that seem like they wouldn't work, but totally do.

The free energy is treated like Antarctica in that it's a shared resource and the nations all agree to not mess with the power source at risk of retaliation. Just in case, Data was able to reverse engineer it with the help of scientists across the globe so there are multiple blueprints put there.

Global warming is still a thing, but less of a thing since things that use energy are pretty quickly adapted to being electric. Plastic and man-made chemicals are still the bane of existence. Deforestation still happens. Overfishing still happens. The air is clean, though, and there are more resources without the energy sector there to take them or get in the way.

Speaking of the energy sector, the oil and coal industries gradually die out. It's not pretty, but with free power there is little reason to deny that they are obsolete. There is probably a recession in some sort due to the lost jobs and all of that. That's another place where my brain taps put. Let's just say everyone eventually gets retrained or are able to pursue their passion/retire since power being free makes things cost less meaning people don't have to work as much.

Hopefully someone found this interesting. It's just been rattling around in my head so I figured I should put it somewhere.

Having finally gotten around to Part 4 of the Goonies campaign, I just want to point out that there is a world line where Chunk’s Opus delusion caused him to outright murder Mouth instead of just knocking him unconscious.

If Chunk didn’t realize the reality of the situation, Opus would’ve 100% turned the campaign into a slasher flick.

The latest Film Reroll episode (Beetlejuice part one) is making me want to run a game with some deeply improbable inciting incident - but, as Paulo did with Goonies, have a whole bunch of different incidents, each unlikely in its own way, each leading to some different kind of adventure.

No idea what movie I'd do it with, but it's a fun concept!

while the goonies reroll is definitely not what i’d recommend someone start out with bc a. it’s 5 episodes/over 10 hours long in total and b. the first two episodes are all over the place, it’s also the reroll that made me cry just a little bit when mouth and data had that moment in the hallway after they got super powers
