google cloud platform vps: Here are some of the benefits of using a VPS on GCP vps canada
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offers a VPS service called Compute Engine. It allows you to create and run virtual machines on Google’s infrastructure. You can choose from a variety of machine types and regions, and you only pay for the resources you use.   GCP also offers a free tier that includes 20+ products, including Compute Engine. You can use the free tier to create a VPS with a small…

the other day WIRED published an op-ed about how "google modifies search results to get at your wallet" which, when I read it, seemed a little speculative to me (in part because it made some weird claims about ads, including conflating organic search results with ad placements), and now WIRED just retracted the article for not meeting their standards and in response people are treating this like some kind of huge conspiracy but (1) it was literally an op-ed lol (2) someone shared the "semantic matching" slide that the article referred to and, unlike the article's claim about secretly replacing queries with other queries, this is a long-standing feature that adds related queries to your query, which is why you can google "dog" and get results that match synonyms like "puppy" or "hound" [ETA: I may have actually misunderstood as well; google does do semantic matching for searches, but the slide wasn't even about that—it was about running the same ad on different queries via keyword matching. so e.g., if an advertiser wants to run ads on searches for "roller blades," google can/will also treat "roller skates" as an equivalent keyword and show the same ad on those searches as well] (3) the whole thing was written a former duckduckgo VP. no competing interests here sir lol.
like, don't get me wrong, I'm interested in seeing google get knocked down a peg (even if I think some of the evidence in this anti-trust suit is flimsy) but staking your arguments on baseless speculation is not helping the credibility of the anti-corporate-web movement... and I've said it before but casting shit in overly simplistic terms of "google is the corporate big bad, its competitors are righteous and good" is naive as hell—duckduckgo's search results rely on bing and yahoo's search engines, among others; duckduckgo makes money by publishing ads through microsoft's ad network. it's corporate all the way down.
considering that both google and duckduckgo are search engines who publish ads, it makes sense that duckduckgo would want to see their biggest competitor defanged here. if google is truly exercising a monopoly (which tbh I think any monopoly is probably linked more to the saturation of their end-to-end ad network than the reach of their search, but whatever) then ending that monopoly is a clear win! but duckduckgo and other competitors want to come in and fill that space, not make the internet free and demonetized and scrub all corporate influence from search, ya know. money always powers this machine. and I don't see a truly free (as in both libre and beer) search engine entering the fray unless it finds a corporate sponsor willing to cover the enormous costs of running one, in which case we're back at square one. even mozilla/firefox relies on that sweet google money etc etc

WIP WEDNESDAY WHENEVER
got tagged by @kdval thank you!
tagging: @gloryride, @elvenbeard, @pinkyjulien, @kittenchrissy, @dreamskug, @wraithsoutlaws, @imaginarycyberpunk2023, @alphanight-vp, @morganlefaye79, @peaches-n-screem, @wanderingaldecaldo, @genocidalfetus, @jaymber, @humberg, @therealnightcity, @streetkid-named-desire, @sammysilverdyne, @aggravateddurian, and @breezypunk as always, no pressure – also feel free to ignore.
GENERAL:
My gaming laptop is still on vacation sleeping since mid November '23 so I have still nothing new except the last remaining vp I want to post but hesitate for own reasons to click the 'post' button. It's a never ending fight I have to do with myself here …
Each weekend I tell myself I will update, but I do not 'feel' it – it's complicated. Guess something needs to happen that requires me to update first. Nontheless, I did not sit around doing nothing. Used the time for writing, thinking, graphic design and selecting songs.
I managed to post Ryder's two favorite radio stations last weekend:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll link the post here again in case you missed it and have interest to listen to it. A like/follow is appreciated, a.k.a. Ryder dankt! 🖤
I know not many like this genre he (and I) listens to but maybe at least the Technoise FM finds a way into someone's music heart. Music is very deeply connected to especially my boy Ryder but all of the boys as well (each their own style) and will show up even in the big story to support the written scenery/moments.
Speaking of the big story:
FANFICTION:
The story has a name now and will simply go by:
Cyberpunk 2078 – Pandemonium
I'm close to finish chapter 01: The Golden Demon of Kabuki of our (@nervouswizardcycle's and me) story. It needs a few vp pics to be redone and me to make a few adjustments and prepare the first post. Hopefully I get it done by the end of January.
QUESTION:
I don't know how many people might be interested in reading it but if you are, please leave me a comment in this post or send me a DM or contact me on Discord so I take note of it and will tag you once I start releasing chapters. It won't be weekly, neither monthly. I'm slow in writing and editing plus I do not do it alone as this story is still at first a role play between @nervouswizardcycle and me, I convert into better reading flow afterwards which takes a lot of time. So you won't receive notifications that often. But in this way you hopefully won't miss out on it when I post them.
HOW DOES IT LOOK?/WHERE CAN I READ IT?
I will not make a long text post here, neither put it on ao3 or any other fanfic site. Gonna make a picture post instead that adds maybe a little teaser text and then link it to an uploaded pdf that will be stored on my personal google drive. You can read it online or download and read whenever you like/find time! :3
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
For those who do not know: It is set after the events of Cyberpunk 2077 and starts in January 2078. Arki, the main character, recovered from the game events (so he's V). All that happened in 2077 only set the ball for his story rolling so he's on his way to find out about his missing past. My boys who work together as a merc team (Vijay, Ryder, Hizumi in the beginning; Jay and Thyjs join later), happen to help Arki on his journey, he becomes a part of the team as well and together they find out things they never could have imagined and everything is connected. It might have the one or other flashback with Johnny in it as well as Arki used to be deeply connected with him and my boys two might get some. None of my boys is a V - even though Vijay goes with the name 'V' – and none of them knows the official npcs Arki has met except for: Jackie, Misty and Vic. They've heard (and maybe seen) of some famous names tho (e.g. Rogue, Kerry). It can happen we integrate a few other ocs that belong to friends/mutuals of us – either by just mentioning them, or they even might get their own appearance if managable to integrate – this is stil a tbd, tho and I will reach out and ask first ofc! I can definitely say @gloryride's Vanessa and Enzo will be mentioned/appear. Vanessa is part of V's and Ry's friend circle and their local fixer. She's also Ryder's neighbor in the Glen. Enzo is Jay's bf, so their names will definitely fall for sure. But as said I'll reach out and ask first if allowed and nothing is set in stone yet either as we are still at the start but have rough ideas that could be integrated.
BUT I ALREADY KNOW CHAPTER ONE AND TWO?!
There might be a few of you who remember the first versions of them, as about 1 1/2 years or so ago I posted them here as simple text posts but it was way shorter, less detailed. We've gone over some parts and it's definitely worth a new read now!
FURTHER PLANS/IDEAS?
too many to count, my list is neverending. I have not forgotten of my vp ideas but they are put on hold for a bit bc the story needs to be rolled out first or it will never happen.
I definitely want to redo the past looks of Ryder and Vijay (they will stay like they are, just a few details changed on them and their outfits) and add the ones of Jay and Thyjs as well.
And I want to focus on Jay's tattoos as they will change into the Japanese themed one done by Kala but I need to edit them a bit (thankfully it is allowed) with Glory's help so it fits to Jay. And hopefully we can solve the layer problem so his glowing tattoo still glows bc it is essential for the story xD
Alright, I'm done :)

I’m certain you’ve definitely answered this before but I wanted to say thank you not only for all the fantastic mods you’ve gifted the cp77 community as well as tutorials and resources, and to tell you your blorbo remains to date one of my absolute favorite V’s I’ve ever seen along with his ship with Mitch and the lore you’ve given him! You take some of the most absolutely gorgeous photos and fun photo sets that I’ve ever seen and—- I actually wanted to ask if you have any tutorials for anyone just getting into trying to learn how to take nice photos of their V and use AMM, like any absolute newb or beginner guides (we’re talking still at the stage where blorbo looks gorgeous in character creater but looks gonk in the in game basic photomode kind of newb stage)
AAAAHHH--
Tumblr media
First off- THANK You so much 😖😖🧡
It means a lot hgfhhg I'm always so happy to learn people like my boys and the silly things I do with 'em, and to know my stuff is useful in anyway is so rewarding!!
As for AMM and VP, I have some old tutorials by my friend Bean! You can check their google drive folder here, it contains a lot of different tutorials but the ones you wanna check are the following:
AMM: NPC Pose Guide (video)
Beginner's AMM Guide
I once shared a quick BTS run-down of how I personally do my VP set, in that case it was a mod thumbnail set!
Here's also two videos I made On how to use Pose Replacers (they aren't too relevant anymore with the new AMM pose tab, but I still like using them :3 might be interesting/useful)
youtube
And on how I pose my stinkies kissing each others!
youtube
As I said earlier, these tutorials / methods are now kinda outdated
I'm out of the loop of what's out there, I'm not in any big modding/VP related servers anymore and simply don't know what's available out there for new commers when it comes to VP
If anyone got any other ressources, tutorials, or anything, feel free to share them in the replies!

Get to know me
I've been tagged in three separate memes with that title by @timaeusterrored and @katsigian, thanks a lot for thinking of me! :D For brevity's and simplicity's sake I'm just gonna throw all of them together in one post ~ Won't be tagging anyone in particular, but if you read this and feel inclined to share some stuff about yourself, pick and choose from the questions listed here and feel free to tag me in your posts! :D
Favorite color: Purple, Turquoise, and Black
Relationship: single
Currently reading: when I'm not re-reading my own stuff for editing purposes, I currently just really enjoy reading everyone's Cyberpunk drabbles and OC lore posts because I live for that stuff! for having been a very bookish kid I don't really read much anymore admittedly D:
Last song Played: "A Dialogue In B Flat Minor" by In Flames (it's on my V playlist and a very Vince and Johnny song to me XD)
Song Stuck in my Head: "Gloves" by Saint Punk (I'm obsessed with it because it fits Vince so much and I'm working on something inspired by it)
Last Movie: oooof... I think it was "The Shawshank Redemption", I was recently in the mood of rewatching some 90s classics while drawing!
Last series: If youtube series count, I'm currently rewatching Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime for the 11th or so time XD I've loved true crime stuff for as long as I can remember and BFU is also just really nice as background noise for when I'm working on something for a few hours at a time. Looking forward to diving into Mystery Files xD (the last "actual" series I watched before that was "Better Call Saul", rewatched it from start to finish in English for the first time xD)
Sweet, spicy, or savory: ooohhh hmmm.... dammit, I guess I'm too much of a sweet-tooth to not pick sweet xD
Favourite Food: Pizza with lots of different cheeses
Craving: to quit my dayjob, because objectively, it would just be really fucking funny to do. We're chronically understaffed and simultaneously also being forbidden overtime to catch up on the backlog, so it's just extremely exhausting at the moment.
Tea or coffee: Coffee, but tea is nice too :3
Dream Trip: everywhere... but my top 3 are Japan, Iceland, and Canada. I'd love to go to Japan during cherry blossom season, spend one week in all the big cities and another more on the countryside, going hiking, looking at temples, forests, and spending a day or two at a ryokan with onsen. Iceland I'd also like to see as much of as possible, I'd actually love to do a guided tour on horseback across the country xD And honestly, same for Canada (without the horses though), also a trip across the country visiting all kinds of sights and cities along the way would be awesome.
Last Thing I Googled: 2023 Conventions Germany
Currently working on: the final stages of my new Kerry x V drawing, editing some VP shoots, writing Vince's background lore fic (6 chapters done, about 6 more to go!), started writing a post-canon fic (but only have a few paragraphs), and my ongoing Cyberpunk 2077 Let's Play videos XD cause I always wanted to make a full Let's Play like that and given my current obsession it works. Looming on the horizon are also some short comics and ideas for mods and even more VP!
Are you named after Anyone?
After an OC of mine, if we go with Elven as the name I'm predominantly using atm XD Long story short, but "Elvenbeard" was an elf OC I once cosplayed as and who got his name from a friend of mine during a very long and funny train ride to the convention we were headed to. Good times XD
2. When was the last time you cried?
A couple of days ago. I think it was a mix of stress and having too many feels about Kerry xD
3. Do you have kids?
Nope, and don't want any. Unless pets count.
4. Do you use Sarcasm a lot?
I would never do such a thing.
5. What Sports do you play/ have you played?
None xD I was the short fat kid that got relentlessly bullied by my PE teacher for years which completed ruined any interest in sports I might have ever developed.
6. What's the first thing you notice about other people?
Honestly... I think I've gotten quite good at picking up people's vibes first. Picked up a very bad "stay-far-away-from-them" vibe from someone a couple of days ago, and when I met them again a little while later one of the first things out of their mouth is transphobic bullshit. I (sadly) felt rather validated with my first impression.
7. Eye Colour?
Hazel.
8. Scary Movies or Happy Endings?
Both can be good! I don't like overly gory movies or stuff that relies heavily on jump scares, but a scary film with a good story and some unexpected twists I really like (some of my faves being "Hush" and "The Conjuring"). I'm also a sucker for Happy Endings though. Best thing overall? Angst with a Happy Ending.
9. Any Special Talents?
Does hyperfocus count as a special talent these days? XD
10. Where were you born?
Somewhere in rural Germany.
11. What are your hobbies?
Yes... Drawing, writing, sewing, crafting, cosplay, gaming... and the newest addition: virtual photography!
12. Do you have any pets?
Yess, a cat!
13. How tall are you?
160cm/ 5'2 - smol and full of rage
14. Fave Subject in School?
Art, History, and English as a secondary language
15. Dream Job?
Creating things that make people happy and being able to live off of it ooooor anything that allows me to finance that kinda "maker of all kinds of things" lifestyle I'm dreaming of. Ideally, if I have to keep a dayjob, I'd like one that only takes place in the timespan of Monday to Thursday, or Tuesday to Friday, and doesn't start at 5.30 in the morning, but at 9 or 10. Or just generally the option of home office would be nice. I don't wanna be rich, but I'd like to have financial security for myself and my cat, enough time to do my silly little arts and crafts, and travel somewhere cool once a year or so.

Boost Your Performance: Why You Should Use a VPS for BlueStacks
In 2025, Android emulation continues to rise in popularity—whether it’s for mobile gaming, app development, or social media automation. One of the most well-known Android emulators is BlueStacks, which allows users to run Android apps on Windows and macOS. However, running BlueStacks on a standard PC or laptop can strain your system’s resources and limit performance. That’s where a VPS for BlueStacks comes into play.
Using a Virtual Private Server (VPS) to run BlueStacks can significantly enhance your experience, offering improved speed, reliability, and scalability. Whether you’re a mobile gamer, digital marketer, or developer, this guide will explain exactly why you should use a VPS for BlueStacks and how it can boost your performance in 2025.
What Is BlueStacks?
BlueStacks is a powerful Android emulator that replicates the Android operating system on desktop environments. It enables users to download and run apps from the Google Play Store, making it ideal for:
Playing mobile games like PUBG Mobile, Clash of Clans, or Call of Duty Mobile on a larger screen.
Automating social media tasks using tools like Instagram bots.
Testing Android apps during development.
Running messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram in a more manageable desktop setting.
While it’s incredibly functional, BlueStacks is also resource-intensive, requiring significant CPU, RAM, and GPU capacity. This is where many users run into trouble, especially when multitasking or running multiple instances.
What Is a VPS?
A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is a virtual machine hosted on a powerful physical server, offering dedicated resources like CPU, RAM, storage, and bandwidth. Unlike shared hosting, a VPS gives you administrative (root) access, customizable configurations, and isolated environments.
In simple terms, a VPS is like having your own computer in the cloud—with more power, more uptime, and greater control.
Why Use a VPS for BlueStacks?
1. Boosted Performance
Running BlueStacks on a VPS means you’re no longer dependent on your personal device’s hardware limitations. High-performance VPS providers offer specs like:
Multi-core CPUs (Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC)
SSD or NVMe storage
Dedicated RAM
High-speed internet (1Gbps+)
This allows BlueStacks to run smoother, load faster, and handle more apps or game instances at once without lag.
2. 24/7 Uptime and Remote Access
Need BlueStacks running automation scripts or games around the clock? A VPS can stay online 24/7 without relying on your home internet or power supply. With remote desktop access (via RDP or VNC), you can log in from any device—PC, laptop, or even mobile—and manage BlueStacks anytime, anywhere.
This is especially useful for:
Farming resources in games
Running bots or scheduled tasks
Managing multiple accounts
3. Run Multiple Instances Efficiently
BlueStacks includes a Multi-Instance Manager, which lets you run several Android environments at once. On a VPS, you can take full advantage of this feature thanks to increased system resources.
Gamers use this to run multiple characters or accounts in parallel. Marketers can test different automation tools or accounts simultaneously without being throttled by local hardware.
4. Reduce Wear and Tear on Your Personal Device
Running heavy applications like BlueStacks can overheat laptops, drain battery life, and degrade performance over time. Using a VPS shifts the load to the cloud, keeping your personal system free for other tasks—or even offline while BlueStacks continues running remotely.
5. Scalability for Professional Use
As your needs grow—whether you’re automating more tasks, launching more apps, or running more accounts—you can easily scale your VPS plan. Most providers offer scalable packages that allow you to:
Upgrade CPU or RAM without downtime
Add more disk space
Expand bandwidth
This makes a VPS for BlueStacks ideal for professional users who need flexibility and power on demand.
6. Improved Security and Isolation
Many privacy-conscious users prefer VPS hosting for the isolation and control it offers. You can:
Install custom firewalls or antivirus
Use a VPN to anonymize activity
Keep app data separate from your personal machine
This is a game-changer if you’re running sensitive scripts or accounts and want to reduce risk.
How to Set Up BlueStacks on a VPS
Setting up BlueStacks on a VPS is easier than you might think:
Choose a Windows VPS provider – Look for specs like 8+ GB RAM, GPU acceleration (if available), and SSD storage.
Access the VPS – Use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to log into your virtual server.
Download BlueStacks – Visit the official BlueStacks website and install the version suited for your needs.
Customize settings – Allocate CPU and RAM resources to BlueStacks for optimal performance.
Install and run apps – Begin using your Android apps with full performance, privacy, and uptime benefits.
Some VPS providers even offer pre-installed BlueStacks images to make setup even faster.
Ideal Users for BlueStacks VPS Hosting
Mobile gamers who want lag-free gameplay and multi-instance farming.
Social media marketers running bots, schedulers, or multiple accounts.
Android app developers testing software in a clean, isolated environment.
Automation enthusiasts who need round-the-clock uptime.
Privacy-focused users looking for secure, cloud-based operations.
Final Thoughts
Using a VPS for BlueStacks in 2025 is more than just a performance boost—it’s a strategic upgrade that enables better speed, uptime, scalability, and privacy. Whether you’re gaming, marketing, or developing, a VPS ensures that BlueStacks runs smoother, faster, and more securely than ever before.

Whether you're a mobile gamer, digital marketer, or developer, this guide will explain exactly why you should use a VPS for BlueStacks and how it can boost your performance in 2025.
Running BlueStacks on a VPS means you're no longer dependent on your personal device’s hardware limitations.
As your needs grow—whether you're automating more tasks, launching more apps, or running more accounts—you can easily scale your VPS plan.
If you're tired of lag, crashes, or resource constraints on your local device, it's time to move your Android emulation to the cloud. With the right VPS, BlueStacks becomes a powerful, always-on tool tailored for high-performance tasks.

Making Professional Development More Accessible for SMBs
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/making-professional-development-more-accessible-for-smbs/
Making Professional Development More Accessible for SMBs
Training employees on new skills is tough for small businesses. Most businesses have no shortage of ideas on how owners and managers can help their team improve performance and learn skills, but small businesses are usually not built with professional development in mind. The core business comes first, as it should; and there is unlikely to be someone on staff with the background needed to effectively write and deliver training materials. Ultimately it means that professional development gets put on the back burner and often never happens. According to CompTIA, half of US companies don’t have formal training strategies in place to address the skills gap*. The employees, customers and ultimately the business pay the price.
Increasingly, generative AI can help any small business develop professional development materials.  Here’s how our small communications agency went from talking about putting together training materials to having a pretty solid first draft in 15 minutes— with the help of free AI tools.
As part of our ongoing employee development at Gova10 we knew that one topic we wanted to cover was improving outreach and pitching our clients’ stories to journalists. All of our employees know the basics but it’s always good to review and there were definitely best practices to share.
Knowing you want to train your team on something and actually taking your knowledge and developing it into a professional development program or session are two very different things. You need to:
Collect the information from those with the knowledge.
Consolidate the information and develop the key messages.
Design an engaging presentation that conveys the key messages.
Each of these tasks can get assigned and reprioritized several times based on more urgent work and tasks waiting for attention.  After all, we are communications people, not learning development professionals.
On a recent Wednesday, with the help of free AI tools, we built a solid first draft in about 15 minutes.
That doesn’t mean we had the finished product that quickly, but we had a deck that was about 70% of the way there.
We used the methods described for a training session on pitching stories to media, but these tools can be utilized to develop materials for any topic.
Fathom
We started using meeting transcription tool Fathom several months ago after seeing it in use by a client of ours. The accuracy of the transcription far surpassed the accuracy of competitors we had tried, and was head and shoulders above the native transcription offering in Google Meet, in our experience.  Fathom’s impressive AI generated notes and action items have wowed several of our customers after seeing us use the tool.
So when we started talking about the professional development initiative during a recent meeting of the Gova10 VPs– at first we discussed all the reasons why we would struggle to have it prepared in time for an upcoming meeting—I quickly added my Fathom notetaker to the Meet call. I explained to the notetaker that our goal was to capture the content that we want to cover in the training session. Then we each took turns speaking about the challenges and opportunities available to improve how our team pitches  the media.  We mostly agreed and added additional ideas, and we debated a few points and if they should be included in the training.
About 5 minutes after we hung up, Fathom sent a summary of the meeting including bullet points on what we had discussed.  These bullet points captured almost perfectly the content we wanted to convey.
Gamma
Now that we had a strong AI generated outline, we needed to put it in a format that we could present to our team. Gamma is an AI tool that generates presentations based either on a short prompt or a full outline. The more information you give it, like all Gen AI tools, the better it performs.
Gamma offered me some layout preferences and within seconds built me a deck.  It did a great job of further organizing and refining my outline and varying the look and feel of each slide while still keeping a consistent look. However, the images Gamma provided didn’t quite hit the mark, so I swapped them out with pictures related to the material, and filled in with pictures from a team photoshoot. This made the presentation feel familiar and fun instead of AI generated. The VPs then went through the deck and made edits to ensure it was clear and carried all the desired messaging.
ChatGPT
For the pitch training, the Fathom-generated bullet points were enough, but a few months ago I was in a slightly different situation. I needed to prepare a media training presentation for a client’s spokesperson.  A few days before, I had given an informal media training session to a different spokesperson.  I took the Fathom transcript from that training session and uploaded it to ChatGPT with a prompt asking it to organize and distill the ideas I had discussed.  ChatGPT did its work in generating an outline and then I was able to feed that into Gamma for a polished-looking presentation.
AI can’t do it all…yet
Before we delivered the employee training we decided to include relevant “pitch-to-story” examples that we could review, showing how past pitches to journalists resulted in articles in the media featuring our clients.  We also added an exercise where team members paired off and developed a media pitch, which we then reviewed and critiqued together.
The ideas were ours. The execution was ours, but AI definitely helped us get the material in front of the team quickly and in an organized manner in minutes instead of hours—or maybe never.  We’re not being replaced with AI just yet, but AI saved us time and took away the stress of preparing the content.
We are already seeing better results from our junior associates that went through the training. Any business can adopt this practice and make professional development more accessible for any topic that needs further employee development.

Note
i counted 2,450 items that either come from dd box sets or are dd boxes in user shops right now, i stopped counting once i hit early 2023. last dd set i counted back to was the botanist set.
2,450 x 200 dd each = 460,000 dd.  assuming everyone bought dd in 30 dollar bundles, 1 dollar = ~135 dd. that gets you ~3,400 dollars.
kris clearly isn't showing proof of her spending, but the lowest-tier web hosting subscriptions range from 3-20 dollars per month.
theoretically, high-end low tier hosting subscriptions can handle up to 500,000 monthly visits before hitting their limit. goatlings, according to traffic tracking sites like semrush and backlinko, is capable of hitting 100k monthly visits. however goatlings is a little more active and demanding of a site than a wordpress blog or geocities page like the cheap subscriptions are intended to be used for.
so i'll throw a bone and guess that instead of high-end low tier hosting, kris bought low-end high tier hosting. long story short, i'm assuming she's got goatlings on a VPS. google that if you want. all we really care about is that a VPS is more expensive.
because of how small goatlings is i'm going to take a guess and say the cost of hosting is probably 65 dollars per month. 65 x 12 = 780, double that for two years so it goes back to the same date i stopped counting at and you've got $1,560.
even if i added an extra 300 to the total for various fees related to domain names and SSL security and stuff, kris would still have the past 2 years of server hosting covered by what's in the user shops alone. even if i doubled the estimated hosting costs to $130 per month, she'd still be making a profit off of just the paid items in the user shops from only the past two years.
this isn't including trade center, the forums, auctions, what's been consumed, what's on HA buddies, what's been recycled, what's in galleries, etc.
this isn't including crown account, adoption ticket, tabs, and nametags either. same with the non retiring dd shop items.
this isn't including the other 7 years of dd boxes, monster masquerades, sweetheart events, etc.
this isn't including any money kris is pocketing that we don't know about like tip-a-mod.
this is also assuming every user bought in 30 dollar bundles, which i'm sure some didn't. my calculations are the minimum she could be making.
just to put it in perspective. if anyone with more experience in hosting sites than me wants to chime in and let me know if my estimates are too high or too low, feel free.
🏇
