Hello fellow folks, I brought to you Barnaby's official design or I like to call him, "Barnaboon." This goofy ahh dude has been sitting in my files for quite some time now, but he's out in public now. Yippie! I gave him his polka-dots back since when I first drew him his red suit looked boring. Plus, he looked bald without his colorful dots on him so... yeah. It's funny, because when I barely sketched him out @partycoffin released the plushie version of him. I was close to the actual design, but I made this arms longer than his legs.

Oh yeah, no ones voice acting Barnaby yet. So if you're interested in voicing him let me know!

I really wanted a bonding between them especially since they've been at eachother's thoats the entire series, but alas, its one page and i was slightly dissapointed. I was hoping we at least got one pannel where we see chilchuck doing her hair

I love this series so much, its probably one of my favorites and im so sad to see it go. Totally buying the adventurer's guide once i can buy it (i want to have something physical from this series) so there may be anther post or two of these but that will be after probably a long while

Final thoughts:

But i love kui's detail in her world and characters, there is so much depth and questions in every corner to develop further. The story was syper engaging and i loved every step of the way. I was told that this series was goofy but then goes super serious for the rest, but it actually did an amazing job at switching between comedy and seriousness quickly but im a way that seems completely natural. (I also adore the art style)

She also did an amazing job at making me interested in ALL of the characters. Usually in series they introduce so many characters all of a sudden and dont develop them that well at all, but still expect me to be invested in them, so the series remains just have a ton of scenes of these new characters interacting but are so shallow that i skim super quickly over them, and then i fall out of love with the entire series as a whole and have to drop it because im getting bored, but kuo manages to keep me invested with every character introduced, so im invested in them almost as much as the main cast and love them all (also the character designs are all super creative. You probably saw those posts where people say you cant play the "find the main cast game" with dunmeshi because of how great the designs are.

Okey so my first oc that I willed into existence is Pepper (I actually created them while in school class so fuckin boring you create random shit am I right?)

They went thought some design and color change tho but thats design im sticking with this one

So Pepper is actually a creature from space but more importantly they came from a giant living organisim that kinda looks like a giant sphere made out of gumballs but yea and this thing is called "Kularis" and one day an asteroid hit it and it shatterd into milions of pieces across space (lil gumballs) and one of those pieces flew to earth and eventually landed in a lilypad and it sorta merged with it and that way Pepper was madeeee

Now you might think "what does this goofy looking ahh oc do?" WELL IM GLAD YOU ASKED

They can basically do anythiny and be anything like shoot lasers outta their eyes or break the laws of phisics and explode whenever they want and also fun fact the green hat on their head that you see isn't a hat at all its actually a part of their skull and they can take it off but it creates a time vortex and they can also shapeshift and other stuff etc etc

About their personality they are a optimistic and adventoruous lil fella, they often like to discover nature or help others in need and they are very fascinated on heroes or someone very cool cuz they wanna be like them hehe, also they have a moss addiction they like moss it doesnt taste that good but they like it bcs it makes them feel funny and bcs of the texture of it too

Theres other stuff about them like they like to burrow underground cuz it helps them cool down but those are fun facts

Theres 2 other oc's I have and one is related to more of a "open story" if that makes sense but yea thats a story for another time

Time for a couple of my own TAWOG Hot Takes!!

Basically uh, I'm bored, TAWOG is playing in the background, and it's too dark to draw bacause it's 4 in the morning and I haven't slept. So let's go!! 1: Leslie, Masami, Juke & Bobert actually had *really good* human designs in The Inquisition. Kind of a shame to watch them go, though the way the animators un-humanized Leslie was pretty awesome. 2: Leslie is absolute GOLD. I mean, good writing, funny episodes, and did anyone else notice that he was in the treehouse with the girls in the first season (forgot episode name)? I thought that was a nice little detail, and it may have been because it wasn't decided if he was going to be male or female yet, but I still think it's a nice little touch that honestly is one of the reasons I like Leslie. 3: The Fury is... overrated. The animation is good and all, and I suppose Yuki's pretty cool, but... it's just missing something to me. Also, at the time of writing this, I can't guarantee it won't be the only actual hot take. 4. Whew, uhh... I think and very well suspect that Penny was *meant* to be metaphorical to being trans. I mean, the shell was kind of like the closet, and then she "came out of her shell..." could very well be a metaphor to being bolder, and more open about herself, but hhhhhilikethefirstthingtoomuch 5. They made Rob too smart for a 13 year old. How, exactly, does a kid, a *literal child,* have a major in Canadian History? And know how to blow up a dang bus? thats all dont burn me on a stake because of these goofy ahh opinions that i wrote at one in the morning

[redacted]- she represents me prior to covid (19y/o) that was ruined by pandemic quarantine and spontaneously moving in with a tinder match (i do not recommend). represents the part of me that is the hopeless romantic. she trusts blindly with a touch of ignorant naïveté. her name is based on the nickname my friends from high school use instead of my dead name. i also covered my dead name on certificates and plaques with it. she is my yuu-sona and main oc for twst

dillon- he represents the undeniable awkwardness i possess. tons of dark humor from ✨trauma✨ but also strangely friendly. this fae likes to make himself useful and lives to make others smile. his name is based on the name i would’ve chosen for myself, if only i wasn’t already working with a dylan. he is another twst oc and was sorted into octavinelle.

schuyler- she is my adrenaline. she is my desire to do all the things i’m not supposed to. she loves risk and lives for the moment. she will not ask for help, and someone should probably check on her before she does drugs or something. her name is a variant spelling of my own. she is the oc i use for otome games (this design specifically for dangerous fellows, but basically same for all the others)

me ???- he is basically my gender envy. he is what i wish i was. if i looked like him, i’d be content. he is goofy ahh and a little dumb, but in the nice way that makes him basically everyone’s favorite. he’s also kinda an overachiever. he doesn’t outright break rules, but he does enjoy seeing how far he can push them (riddle hates him). i honestly don’t know what to name him. if you read this far, give me a suggestion. what does he look like his name would be? he is another twst oc that was sorted into heartslabyul.

Ducktales finale spoilers

Sooo Ducktales will be ending soon my thoughts? Not as sad as when compared to Rise of the TMNT, Venture Bros, Brooklyn 99 (though it had a good run considering), Drunk History, Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. Though there are rumors Darkwing Duck is gonna be rebooted.... uhh maybe excited? I'd say maybe becauseeeee again its on a streaming service... and no for anyone's future question don't have Disney+ and have no intention of getting it why? Cause I'm broke/on a budget and I can't buy every stupid streaming service for the sake of a few shows.

But I'm getting off topic the show in general... sorta sad but sorta not. I'll be honest some eps of Ducktales in the last season didn't fit well with me. Some felt uhh very cliche/or readable, some felt kid dumb (but its a kids show so you're gonna get a few of those more than once), some felt like they were uhh if I had to compare like when you'd watch Adventure Time and you'd be "WTF was that one for". I wouldn't say dark you're just "that one felt random". Sometimes thats not bad but heh depends on the taste.

There are a few things disappointed we didn't get to see one Donald & Della's ACTUAL parents interacting with their children, GRANDCHILDREN. Don't get me wrong their interactions with Scrooge was nice but we barely got one ep with family that WASN'T him. You'd think given what dangerous work they were involved with we'd see a flashback or actual talk of their parents talking to them. Especially with Della being a single mother oO. Kinda feel it slightly unrealistic that they'd just sit and do nothing (and no there's no sign they're dead so they should be around) when their daughter disappeared into space. I mean maybe it'd been nice to see a few eps of past Donald getting advice from his mother Hortense how to raise the triplets. Heck would have like to see Hortense & Matilda's relationship.

Second the triplets father would had been nice oO. Yes he does have a father. All these fan ships but no one actually wondering "hey who's the boys father?".

  Third would had been nice to see more of Violet's family life. I mean whats the point of giving her "dads" if they never have a role beyond background character. Heck would had been nice to see a day of Violet and Lena's life with their fathers. Yes probably to the viewers it probably would had been boring but whatever 8B.

Four uhh I dunno explore space more? Maybe actually see some of Moon's home. I'll be honest that episode of "Moonlander on Earth" ep always bugged me. While I could believe some of the moon aliens wanted to stay on earth. I'm not convinced an entire planet thought Earth was so amazing they'd just stay there forever. People are fickle things, I can believe some wanted to stay like a vacation. But I feel at some point some, like Penny wanted to just go home. And I always found it... disturbing that no one attempted to really listen (no I don't count Webby cause that was written more of an experience lesson than "oh I miss home"). I mean the McDucks have all the money in the world, thats how Scrooge spent almost all his fortune finding Della. I'm just not convinced Scrooge and them thought "Hey we got extra rockets if they wanna go home we'll let them". No it was "oh they'll never get home, lets not bothering asking or giving them those extra resources. I think the show MISSED a good opportunity to let Penny go home (as well as others). And since Fenton or Gyro are often considered so smart they couldn't make a special teleport device JUST for them or ways to keep communicating with the moon. Thus meaning they could have explored space. And while some might argue "yes we needed Penny for the finale" (minor spoiler). She didn't DO anything she and Goldie were mostly used for cameo purposes. Sooo wasted use there.

Hmm anything else....  would have LIKED to seen more eps with Gandra/Fenton but hey if that Darkwing Duck spinoff is a thing maybeeee Gizmoduck will make special appearances and Gandra/Fenton can double date with Morgana & Drake(yes I wanted her to make an appearance I liked her goth look). Uhhh I don't think we ever got a Selene & Della interaction. (So far no eps were really... well friendship stuff. I mean I got a small fraction (if that) with Gods on the Block ep but it was near the literal END)

Also wish we could had more from the old show cameos Kit/Molly, Rescue Rangers, Goofy... pft plus I'll be honest before the show ended would had loved an actual cameo of Goofy, Mickey & Donald just alll together. Pfttt omg I would had loved a Max & Roxanne cameo date/wedding (yes I shipped them).  Haha more interactions would had been fun. And while I enjoyed the Talespin sorta crossover... could had more (and yes sorta ship Kit/Della. heh sorta more of a crackship haha). And lets be honest that Molly cameo was wasted potential. I mean would had been cool to see Baloo & Becky. Though I understand to a degree why we didn't. At least with Baloo.  But ahh well what can you do.

  And same with Daisy and Donald buttttt gonna take some of the finale as something. I'm just gonna say it left enough for my imagination to think "they're having a happily ever after soon". Uhh another minor spoiler with Ludwig revealed not to be dead (which I'm glad)... just disappointed he wasn't in the credits or given more interactions with Scrooge. Yeah I know they weren't BEST friends or anything but I dunno I do associate them as friends.

Anything else... uhhh would had been nice to see more of Boyd and Doofus family moments too. I mean I dunno consideringgggg that life probably was better for Doofus' parents now that they had an ACTUAL loving child. Be nice to have seen more scenes. I mean heck that last ep with Doofus... uhh jumping? I assume it meant Doofus had closure and accepted his fate? So I dunno would had been good to see him and Boyd bond more. Heck I'd like to have seen his parents' telling Gyro in finale (yes minor spoiler) take care of "our" son.

Nowww onto the finale gonna put spoilers soo warning here.... as for the finale it was... good. I'm not gonna say "Oh it was the best everrrrrrrr". Nah it was pretty good given their budget or whatever. Yeah some felt rushed and all those cameos while I appreciate the thought felt wasted potential. I mean I get why budget/timing etc. Just saying you know could had some Goldie/Scrooge moments, more Lena & Violet, Webby friendship stuff. I mean heck when they were all "released" (and judging by that cube system) there was a lot we don't really see where they go or how the Ducktales group got everyone where they originally belonged.

What did I think of Webby's so called surprise... uhh mixed. Bigger picture wise kinda explained that need to be so clingy. To a degree I sorta agree with the split fans I like it and I don't like it. But I get it the writers NEEDED something for shock value cause lets face it they ran everything else. I say a part of me didn't like it cause I was kinda hoping this version would show us Webby's real parents. And I'm not fully convinced that photo was just a fake or some random relatives Beakley took to shut her up. 

I think she sounded genuine when she said "I missed a lot". I admit when the whole "oh she's made from FOWL" was becoming obvious. I thought Beakley was subtly hinting that her daughter made Webby. I dunno could see that happening seeing that this whole ep was hinting at adults who did NOT think of their actions effects (yeap Scrooge, Della's choice to go on that rocket, Bradford's granny traumatizing the dummy), I thought "Ohh sooo she felt neglect and rebelled or fell for the enemy". But anyways yeah I still think Beakley probably DID have a daughter. Where is she? I dunno, thats kinda the whole point. Either she died or like Donald did with Scrooge, broke away from her family. I really believe whatever the reason, her daughter's gone from her life and Beakley deeply regrets she wasn't a more attentive mother. She probably to a degree saw Webby as her second chance to do better by her.

Hmmm lets see anything else.... as dark as it was with what Bradford did... not really shocked. And while he was obviously a villain I think his background did prove a point. But I could be thinking of Dean Venture and Dr Venture's childhood. Not every kid is built or for that matter wants an adventure life. Bradford was a product of his well intentional but neglectful family. Had the triplets or Donald not wanted this life that could had been them. Thankfully it wasn't 8B.

I admit the part with the villians at the end was quiet surprising. Not because they turned him into a bird pft. But because technically they saved Scrooge but heh I get it, chalk it up to either "they don't like to be used" or "Bradford was so terrible he was beneath even their level". Just somewhat made me wish Magica could have found Poe or something (I liked his design and voice actor). 

 And super glad we didn't really lose a lot of villains. I dunno I wanted Phantom Blot & Pepper to escape, fight another day stuff. And I kinda think to a degree thats why we saw that dumbed-down clone of Bradford. He's gone but that clone could get "smarted" up to stir more trouble 8B. Maybe I dunno.

Heh but all in all I enjoyed this finale. Its was wayyyy better than Star and Tangled's finale, no flippin' drama :P. I mean I suppose you could call Donald & Daisy leaving drama? but no not really cause literally none of this bothered me. The credits kinda gave me that nostalgia of how this show got so much attention. So while it was rushed maybe and it had its flaws. All in all it kept up with the heart. Soo I enjoyed the credits a lot good way to say goodbye

Yikes! I saw this literally seconds after I got in bed last night. I’ve gotten so bored staying up late, and having nothing to do I just?? jump into bed really early now?? Quarantine sucks so much ugh.

But let’s do this!!

How I feel about this character

Dang, I love the guy but he can also be a real jerk sometimes *cough*Skybound*cough* and just… other little moments in general. When it’s prominent. Another thing is, I love his goofiness! But I really hope the new writers don’t see him as “just a comic relief”.

I wish they kept the eyebrow notch though, ahh!

Can we talk about the Jay cult though? How big is his ego, man?

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Get this… I used to be a big jaya shipper. Wowowowoefgihtjn. Yeah, I think after Season 3 and then especially Versus I loved both jaya and bruise but then S6 happened and I was like “wtf” and just dropped jaya down the chute. Especially after I realized all the problems there were in it and the lack of any chemistry.

YEAH NINJAGO, YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD PULL THE SHEETS OVER ME BUT I GOT OLDER WITH THE SHOW AND I COULD S E E WHAT YOU WERE DOING WRONG.

I do like techno though!! I’m not the biggest fan of plasma but I can see it.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

While I very badly want to say Cole, because, yeah, it’s true. I also want to heavily stress that I LOVE Jay and Nya as friends. Like, just some of that healthy platonic interaction, I can’t get enough of. When they’re forced to interact together romantically with little to no chemistry, that’s a whole other story.

Seriously, they would perfect!! together that way. Which is the way I wish Skybound ended.

I’d love to see more Jay and Pixal interactions though! NOT just because I pair them up a lot in my own fics, but I think it would work really well!!

My unpopular opinion about this character

Am I please allowed to say he’s “overrated”. Or, at least on Twitter. I see people all the time complaining about how he doesn’t get enough love and I’m like: you guys just formed a cult once he revealed HIS OWN cult. What????

Also… y’all beg for another Jay season when Cole hasn’t even had one? AH.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish… he wasn’t adopted. Ed and Edna are GREAT, if not THE BEST parents in the entire show and now ;(( we learn they’re just his adoptive parents. Which, actually isn’t terrible either. But I still wish he wasn’t adopted. I mean Cliff? Bleh. However that would explain why Jay’s parents look a lil more older than him. I dunno, man.

I don’t know what all the hype is about Libber too by the way. I mean, wow I love her design but other than that *shrug*.

"So what do you think?" You asked Doc and the designers about your photo settings, showing them your sketchbook.

"Pretty good. Well done, kid." Doc smiled, patted your back, and left you with the others. "Your drawings are brilliant. Even if they are just drafts." Amanda said still amazed by your drawings.

"I don't think they are good. Let's call them acceptable and easily recognizable. They describe them more precise...." You didn't have the chance to finish your sentence due to the boys entered the studio.

"Well hello Everyone. Let's fucking do this shoot, alright?" Vince yelled and you could see that the make-up artists managed to fade the bruise. They were all dressed up into their concert outfits. Vince's upper body was slightly covered but they all had strings attached to their clothes. Mick was wearing a blue one and he and Vince were wearing a black bandana with a pentagram on it. It looked badass. You walked over to your bag and put the sketchbook into it when Mick approached you.

"Good morni.. goddamn. Did you slept at least an hour last night?" He asked you cupping your face with his hands.

"Why?" You pulled away and continued packing your bag, and set your camera.

"Cause you have as black bags under your eyes as black is my hair." He murmured following you everywhere you went like a puppy.

"I know. And I hoped no one will remember me." But thanks for your honesty." You snapped. He was about to go away when you stopped him. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be this asshole, I'm just really tired and stressed. Anyway, you all look pretty fearless. And your make up, too."

"I think it's a bit much...but thank you."

"ATTENTION, everyone! Please listen to me! Okay, so we are starting the shooting now!" Doc declared. Your heart was pounding heavily and your stomach did a backflip. You rubbed your sweaty hands into your pants and walked over to the rest of the boys along with Mick.

"Hello, Mrs. Sixx." Nikki smirked but you just rolled my eyes.

"Hello, Nikki." You murmured, flipping through the pages in your notebook.

"Hi, daughter of Alice Cooper." Tommy snickered and started drumming on your head with his sticks.

"I told you I'm not... nevermind. Hello to all of you. So let me tell my ideas and all the settings I made up last night. And I beg you don't irritate me because I'm not in a good mood."

"When you are not moody?" Vince spoke up. You just glanced at him but didn't tell a thing. You explained to them where to stand and the crew set the lights. Now it was your and the boys' turn. Firstly, you did the photos you wanted to take and then let them do whatever they wanted.

"Oh okay, then." You laughed your butt off picturing them. They were all acted goofy and there is one thing. You have never thought that Mick was capable of doing these faces. He looked like the Dark Lord himself. Someone also put the new album on in the background to set the mood and 'Shout at the Devil' was on. "Okay, guys. What about a photo when you shout at the Devil? In this case, I will be the Devil."

"That will be easy to imagine," Vince screamed through the music. Mick just gave him a look, and if that looks could kill. Vince would be a dead, dead dead man.

"Okay, so three, two, and one!" You clicked the last photo and sighed. "Thank you boys, I think we are ready!" Everyone was clapping so you covered your face with my camera in shyness. Mick had a proud smile on and Vince just mumbled something under his nose. Tommy jumped in front of you and lift you up in the air and spun you around. You were giggling and hugged him.

"You were perfect, babe."

"Thank you, Tommy. I appreciate it, really." You ran your finger through your hair smiling, though still shaking from the adrenaline.

"I hope you are proud of yourself." Mick stood beside you and you can't help but smile at him.

"Nah, it was not a big deal." Mick chuckled and looked at you with disbelief in his eyes. "Okay. It was a fucking BIG deal."

"How will we celebrate that?" Nikki asked with big eyes, ready to party.

"There is a strip club nearby." Tommy offered. Your eyes got big and to be honest you didn't really felt the urge to watch naked women. Mick saw the concern in your eyes.

"Really, drummer?" He asked crossing his arms and gesturing towards you. You didn't want to look like a pussy. You won't have any problems with doing it once.

"Let's go." You agreed with Lee and all the three of them looked shocked by the answer. "What? Aren't girls allowed to go to a place like that?" You put your hands on your hips and put your camera to its place.

"I was kidding but if you are willing to, then come on." Tommy laughed and headed to the changing room. Nikki also followed him snickering.

"Are you sure?" Mick asked when you were alone again.

"Yap." You said not looking at him. Luckily, he didn't know you so long to notice whether you are lying or not.

"Then see you in 10 minutes. I have to get rid of this makeup." He stepped closer and placed his hands on your waist and leaned close to your ear. "You were amazing." He whispered to you. He must've seen your reaction cause he placed a little tender kiss on your crimson red cheeks. Your eyes got bigger and your mouth dropped. Before you could say something he left you there and headed towards the changing rooms.

"Are you completely sure you wanna go inside?" All the boys had already gone in, even Vince came with you. You were standing in front of the club and were about to enter the building. You were a bit worried but you comforted yourself with that 'I won't see anything I haven't seen before.'

"Yeah. Let's go." You nodded and Mick placed his arm on your shoulder and pulled closer to him. The air was heavy and damp from the alcohol and cigarettes. The music was pretty good and you liked the decoration and all. Chics were dancing to the music and after scaring a man the boys found an empty table. You sat beside Mick and in front of Vince. He looked at you concerned for a minute and then put his resting bitch face on. A girl approached your table and put some drinks on it. You tried to look away but you noticed from the corner of your eyes that all of them were watching at her. Even Mick, but who could blame him? He is a man after all. Everyone grabbed a drink and leaned back in the chairs.

"To our new photographer chic!" Tommy held his drink in the air and then drank all of it.

"To the tour!" Nikki, Mick, and you said at the same time before consuming the drinks.

"To me!" Vince finished and got up from the table. "If you excuse me, I will find a better company. Someone who respects me."

"He will do this the whole time?" You asked glancing at Vince, who went to some chicks.

"Don't worry. He needs some time to process that he was rejected by a hot girl." Tommy said.

"Hey guys, what about if we play something?" Nikki came up with the idea to change the mood, which scared you a bit.

"Truth or dare?" Nikki was asking you since the bottle's end pointed at you.

"Truth." You sighed fearing the question he would ask.

"Ahh, that's boring." He pouted and drinking a shot.

"You asked." You crossed your arms staring at him.

"Alrighty, so are you a....virgin?" He leaned closer and narrowed his eyes smirking. After a big pause, you answered.

"Nope, I'm a Capricorn." You said in a serious tone. First, they seemed thinking and you were worried if it was funny at all. Seconds later they burst into laughter.

"No, I mean it!" Nikki was gazing you with a devilish grin and still laughing.

"Still a no." You told him like it was the most obvious thing in the world. How the fuck it even crossed his mind, that at the age of 27 you were still a virgin?!

"I hoped so." He took a sip from his drink his eyes never leaving yours.

"T-Bone, your turn!" You yelled after spinning the bottle.

"Elizabeth, I dare you tooo.." He started.

"Hey, that's not how it works! No cheating!" You were totally messed up. You felt that you drank too much, though you hadn't been this relaxed for a very long time.

"...to kiss Nikki!" He finished his sentence after thinking for a minute.

"What?" Nikki and you gasped, staring at the drummer. He was quite proud of himself thinking of this order. You raised one of your eyebrows and glanced at Nikki then Mick.

"You heard me!" Tommy chuckled before drinking. Looking at Mick was useless since you couldn't see his eyes from that stupid aviators. The only advantage of that this makes him sexier. Wait, what did you just say?

"So, Mrs. Sixx you don't want a kiss?" Nikki came closer.

"You know what happens if someone tries to kiss me ignoring my will, right?" You also leaned closer and whispered in his ears making him frightened. He immediately pulled away.

"Alright. I will stay back. I am afraid of you, now."

"Sniff it!" Nikki put some lines on your table and since you stupidly chose dare...

"I won't." You felt Mick relax beside you.

"I hoped so. Good girl. I told you she is not like you, idiots." Mick put his hand on your thighs which made you relaxed and tensed at the same time. You drank too much, you felt quite dizzy both from the alcohol and the loud music.

"I'm not gonna do that because I'm a good girl and I don't want to." You murmured.

"Then why?" Nikki asked before sniffing a line instead of you.

"Because I'm fucking allergic to it! So please..." You couldn't finish your sentence cause they started laughing so hard everyone was looking at you. "I'm serious. And it's not funny." You huffed and crossed your arms.

"Is it an existing thing at all?" Nikki asked trying to catch his breath. Mick just only chuckled but didn't laugh at you. He was gazing at you. The alcohol and the place had an effect on him, too.

"So how do you know?" Mick asked Tommy and Nikki stopped laughing to pay full attention. Drama seekers. You hummed but started to tell this beautiful story of yours.

"Well, in the first year of uni there was a party...and we were also playing truth or dare..and well I had to do it such as Nikki told me to. And I did it and they told me that I lost consciousness and my nose was bleeding. I woke up in the hospital the next morning and the doctor told me that I almost died." When you finished your story they were all staring at you in shock.

"I'm glad you didn't!" Tommy smiled and cleaned the table with his arm. Nikki just yelled at him for ruining his drugs.

"Fun fact: after I felt better and left the hospital I had to go to jail for 3 days." You said proudly which surprised you a bit. You never really told it to anyone since you weren't proud of it for obvious reasons.

"No way, man. You sit in jail? So (Y/N), when we will have our wedding?" He was smirking at you, playing with one of the cups.

"Not now. We have to go on the tour, remember?"

After playing several turns, going through many embarrassing situations, and Mick drinking more than one and a half bottles of vodka, he joined.

"I dare you to give us a dance!" Tommy grinned gesturing towards a pole beside your table.

"Wtf dude." You yelled at him. Only a few girls were on stage, Vince must've been with the rest.

"Come on (Y/N), you already rejected several times and now it's not a question," Nikki added not really helping your situation. You looked at Mick who simply patted your thighs and smirked. "Give us a dance, (Y/N)."

"You, too? Oh, Mick noo." He gave you a look which scared the shit out of you so you agreed.

"Fine." They all had a devilish grin on their faces and Tommy yelled.

"Hey DJ or whoever is doing the music put on the...you can pick the music, Cooper."

"Take me to the Top. AND I'm not gonna strip down!" You declared loudly, making them understand.

"Pity but okay." You went to one of the poles and after a few tries, you managed to climb beside it. When the music started you grabbed the pole but hesitated at first. The awful quantity of drinks and the music helped you get through this. When Mick's solo was on you squatted down and stand back really slowly. They also came closer and you heard Vince whistle.

"You give them a fucking dance and you can't even kiss me back? "You just showed your middle finger and heard the boys yelling and clapping. Sometimes you went closer to Mick, Nikki, and Tommy and gave them a look or teased them. You continued dancing and didn't even realize the song ended. You bent over dramatically and thanked them. Tommy hugged your waist and helped you got off the stage.

"What about if we skip the wedding and start with the honeymoon, Mrs?" Nikki murmured in your ears. Mick was completely out of his mind. He wanted to kick Nikki in the balls so badly, but he didn't do it.

"You would like it, huh?" You gave him a smirk and glancing at Tommy.

"That was fantastic! I might be a little jealous of Mick." Tommy smirked and bowed his head in the direction of the guitarists.

"What, why?" Nikki inquired with a ton of questions in his eyes.

"Cause they are together, you idiot." Tommy helped his brother out and pulling Nikki in a sideways hug, looking at Mick and then at you. You gulped and looked at Mick. He was just casually standing there, not reacting a thing. His eyes wandered at you from head-to-toe and vice versa. He put his hands in his pockets and left you.

"Nice job, Tommy." You huffed and sat back to your table.

"Why?" He asked not understanding your reaction.

"Why do you think we are even together?"

"I have eyes, Cooper. I'm a hopeless romantic so I can see the way he looks at you and your reaction whenever he is nearby. And well, this little dance of yours...was not helpful to hide his...you know what I'm talking about." He said before lighting a cigarette and closing his eyes.

"You are a genius, T-Bone. Aren't you a philosopher or something?" Nikki asked with wide eyes.

"Are you sure, Tommy?" You asked him cause you weren't really sure in your own feelings, not even Mick's.

"Totally."

                ∆

"Hello, there." Mick was sitting on his motorbike, smoking a cigarette. You touched his shoulder but he moved away.

"Please don't touch me."

"Why?" You were thinking of what Tommy had said and you weren't expecting this reaction from him.

"Cause I can't be near you...without touching you. And you touch me doesn't really help." He looked into your eyes and you were sure he saw your soul. You couldn't really find the words. You walked over to him and stopped inches away from his face. "What are you doing?" Mick asked. You thought if you act like him, maybe you would understand him. You put your hand into one of the pockets of his jacket. You just simply took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it and you moved away from him. "Please, don't go away."

"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere. By the way, I can't really understand you. Once you say you can't be near me and then you say not to go away." You sat on one of the boys' bikes while you blew out a cloud of smoke. You couldn't recall when was the last time you smoked but it sure was a long time ago. "So? Are we gonna just stare at each other while we got lung cancer?"

"What are you expecting me to say?"

"To be honest, anything. I don't know a thing about you, apart from that you love to play the guitar and drink vodka. Tell me YOUR story, this time."

"Well, my name is Mick Mars and I am the guitarist in the band Mötley Crüe..." He started if he were in an interview. You rolled your eyes, not believing he acted like this.

"You gotta be kidding me. I can't believe you." You chuckled and rub your hand on my arm. After being in the hot club it was freezing outside, particularly in a tank top.

"Here, take my jacket." Mick was so messed up, not understanding his own decisions and the things he said. He felt guilty for treating you like this, but he had to be away from you. He made his mind last night that he didn't want to attach to you emotionally, cause he didn't want to ruin your life.

"Even Nikki has better lines." You huffed, hugging yourself tighter.

"Oh come on, I mean it. Don't be primitive! I don't want you to be ill on the tour already in the begging." He took off his jacket, stepped beside you, and helped you take on the coat. It felt warm, although it was a bit lose on you. You glanced at him and smiled.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank. Can I sit..?" You bowed your head and patted the motorbike. He sat down really slowly, making noises.

"You know, you make weird noises while sitting down." You stated.

"I'm old. Don't be like me." He lied to you, not being ready to tell you his story. 

"If you say so." You couldn't believe he has pain due to his age. Cause he has pain. You sat closer to him and placed your head on his shoulder. You felt him tense a bit, but after a while, he took your hands into his.

"Dear Satan, your hands are like ice." He put it closer to his mouth and blew it with his warm breath, never leaving your eyes. It tickled a bit, but your heart melted off his softness. He placed a kiss on the top of your hand and then released it. You were disappointed, you didn't want him to finish it. You didn't want him to stop touching you. Now you understood him. You intertwined your fingers with his. They were as cold as yours.

"You are freezing, too!! And don't tell me you are not. I can feel it." You did the same with his hands what he did to yours. "What about going back? It's much warmer inside." You asked looking at the entrance.

"I don't want to. I want this moment to last forever. It's too good." He sighed, thinking it would be the most relaxing time for a long time.

26. What are some seemingly childish things you like?

you mean besides my ardent love and undying enthusiasm for TV shows that most people would probably label as 'for kids'? X'D

I really love goofy socks, actually! any socks with fun prints or bright happy colours. sometimes I mix different designs as long as the colours look ok together. the truth is that life is too short and the world is gloomy enough as it is for me to be purposefully boring with my sock choices.

30. What are you looking forward to in the near future?

I already mentioned a few things in a previous ask, but I'm also excited about being able to reorganize my yarn collection in my room. I've figured out a way that I think will be really helpful and also look nice and keep it all sorted and within my sight (so I'll actually use more of what I already have, instead of just always buying more), and I'm excited about setting that plan into action!

also my sister and I have tickets to go see one of my favourite small indie bands live this spring, and I'm really looking forward to that as well :D

Winter 2018: First Impressions

The new year always comes with a bout of unwarranted confidence and energy, and what better way to spend it, I thought, than by keeping entirely up to date with the new anime season. (I say “entirely,” though I have clearly omitted several shounen / fantasy shows out of respectful disinterest, and Citrus, for reasons that may evolve into their own post.) Here are the first impressions of the season’s first episodes. I’ll be checking back in halfway through and at the end of the season to chart each show’s progress. Saa, hajimaruzamasu yo!

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san

Though they’ve since been deleted, the first episode of Koizumi-san encouraged two extremely negative reviews to surface on MAL. Why anyone would submit a formal review after one episode is beyond me (get a tumblr blog, you herbs), but why this of all shows should warrant such backlash also confounds me. Yes, it’s silly - it follows goofy lesbian Oosawa Yuu as she follows her crush, the enigmatic Koizumi, from one ramen eatery to another, while Koizumi rebuffs her flirtations and educates her on various ramen cooking styles. It should be pretty fucking clear from this set-up that we’re not in for a thematically dense thrill-ride - why is this Cute Girls Doing Cute Things show apparently that much worse than others with equally pointless premises? All this said, I’m certainly wondering if the show can expand on its small roster of characters and settings to fill a full cour. Stranger things have happened. I’ll be following along, if only to hear more of Ayaneru’s darling voice acting, dreamy sigh.

Yuru Camp∆

(Don’t forget that delta!) This season’s iyashikei delivers exactly what was promised on the package, resulting in not much to say about it at all. I’m not sure the ambience here is quite luscious enough to warrant this many slow shots (cf. Studio Ghibli, Mushishi), but I was never bored, and it looks like we’ll be heading to more slice-of-life settings soon enough anyways. It’s quiet, thoroughly nice, even somewhat educational. Healing as it may be, it’s also definitely a Cute Girls show, and yes, the girls so far are very good. Fingers crossed we get some yuri with that yuru…

Sanrio Danshi

Ahh, a familiar conflict: a mega-corporation creates / sponsors art that supports progressive politics, but is also using the medium to shamelessly promote their products - cf. Pepsi, Heineken, etc. This time it’s Sanrio fighting restrictive gender stereotypes: why can’t boys be into cute animal mascots too? It’s a sweet message, but the irony of it coming directly from the merchandiser is hefty. Sanrio Boys makes an inoffensive first impression - the titular boys are entirely generic in design and expression, distinguished mostly by their mascot kyara of choice (disappointingly, my lovely Cinnamaroll has been claimed by a boofy-looking doofus). It’s shallow and ironically enjoyable, as most teen-girl-oriented media inevitably is, alas. Here lies another mystifying contradiction: a clearly low-effort show featuring an ensemble cast of five handsome but emotionally vulnerable boys is so clearly aimed at girls, so how is their boys-can-have-feelings-too message even going to land with its supposed target audience? Are the boys themselves just another marketable Sanrio product for girls?? Christ.

Violet Evergarden

Speaking of mega-corporations, Netflix is still on track to subsume all art and artists by 2020 - but hey, they’re putting out some good stuff. Violet Evergarden is a decisive question mark. I’m partial to both its main tropes of “post-war melancholy” and “emotionless person learns to feel again,” but they can intersect respectively with “leaning heavy on the Feels” and “literal objectification of women.” Violet’s emptiness doesn’t make for a compelling main character - it’s strange to see KyoAni’s unparalleled expressivity lavished upon an unexpressive character - and it’s hard to say whether her traumatic past will justify this, or just fall flat. I’m cautiously optimistic for now, and if it all does go south, I’ll always have Sora no Woto to give me the good stuff. (Special shout-out to both all-too-brief timelapse shots. KyoAni, you magnificent bastards.)

Sora yori mo Tooi Basho

I think it’s understandable that I would enter into this with trepidation - it seemed somewhere between a sports anime and a Cute Girls Etc., both of which can stretch to ridiculous settings. But it seems, in a weird way, fairly grounded. Well, I mean, for a show about high school girls travelling to Antarctica. I’m really hoping they’re not just on their way by episode 2 - Shirase’s struggle with the depressive realism of her ludicrous dream is ripe for exploring in itself. Both the main characters are wonderful; Shirase’s design indicated another taciturn raven-haired maiden (cf. Kousaka Reina), but she’s wonderfully expressive, and I’m always happy to hear Kana Hanazawa doing any voice other than Default Kana Hanazawa. Overall, it’s very nicely animated and paced, quietly comic, and almost definitely going to trip over its absurd premise by the time I next check up on it, but I suspect it will still be a fun, if silly, ride.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card

OH MY GOD. I’ve only been living in a post-Sakura world for about 2 years, and this was still a quasi-religious experience; I can’t imagine how this would feel to the fans who grew up on the show. Everything about this is fucking fantastic. I’m losing the ability to criticise. I’m dangerously close to “I can’t even”-ing. The production is perfect, the sakura petals are abundant, there’s a fucking oboe solo stripped-back rendition of Platinum when Syaoran appears, the fucking ED is so beautifully animated. I’m sorry, I’m doki-doki-ing all over the place. This is the by far my favourite of the season so far. Not even Meilin’s absence can sour this for me. (Okay, maybe a little, if I really think about it :c)

Pop Team Epic

Hmmm. This was preceded by its reputation, evenly regarded by my Twitter feed as “a shitpost in anime form” and “excellent lesbian representation.” Given how dense my watchlist already is, I’m pleased to say I absolutely don’t care about this. It conveys the same humour as short-form absurdities like Teekyuu or Plastic Nee-san, but mostly leans on shallow pop-culture references and crudeness. The face that it’s a full-length show - let alone the fact that the first episode is the same half-length episode played twice - is exasperating. As a fan of Wonder Showzen and the Eric Andre Show, I see the appeal of the style, but it definitely falls short of both such marks. (And though I know this is unfair, it’s a little hard to get into something so well-received by 4chan dipshits.)

Darling in the FranXX

There’s a sexual harassment joke roughly 4 minutes into the first episode - nowhere near Bakemonogatari’s record, and not damning in and of itself, but it unfortunately does reflect the overall tone. This feels like a weird teenage rebellion by Studio Trigger, defying their parent by making their own Evangelion, with blackjack!, and hookers!, and absolutely none of the subtlety or character exploration that made Eva great. Zero Two is a deafening klaxon of fanservice masquerading as a sexually autonomous character - I wanted to believe otherwise, but her fucking robot has nice boobs, and even gets its own panty shot. The robot, which is powered by making out, mind you. I’m not one to hold low-brow shows to higher standards - I will call a fanservice-y spade a spade - but I expected more out of Trigger at this point, especially on the heels of extremely wholesome Little Witch Academia series. Even the mediocre Kiznaiver had loftier goals. I’ll keep tabs on this one - if nothing else, Trigger’s animation style and an excellent OST will sweeten a bitter pill. 

Mitchiri Neko

Hard pass. If you’re gonna watch a banal, cutesy, 3-minute runtime cat show - like, if you really need that - watch Bananya.
