These awesome Qs from @tjswritingstuff and @foxyteagan fell into my dash at the exact right time!

And though I wasn’t tagged, and should probably do the games that I was tagged in, I wanted to answer these bc they’re so darn interesting!

These Qs are answered for my Kiel and Shiroin from ‘The Serpent Kiss’!

Let’s get to it! Lots to get through!

1. What color does your character wear the most often?

S: she likes whites and pastels because it matches her hair and makes her look like a doll. But she looks best in green. No question.

K: B L A C K ...........

2. What is the weather like in your wip?

Rain rain rain

And sometimes thunder and lightning (for dramatic rooftop sword fights)

3. If your main characters were animals what would they be?

S: ... Snake..?? Yeah.

K: He basically is a cat. A rude one.

4. Where are you likely to find your characters on a Saturday afternoon?

S: in her palace. Bored to tears and plotting murders while looking out the window.

K: on the job. And definitely in a tree.

5. Do any of your characters have full-time jobs? If not, how do they pay for things?

S: empress of the world is a very hard job! But she never pays for anything.

K: he’s a mercenary/sellsword/assassin. A freelancer if you will!

6. If your characters were arrested what would their charges be?

S&K: murder. Much murder. And slaughter and some torture.

7. Would your character’s raid area 51?

S: sure. Why not. Empress of the galaxy has a nice ring.

K: not likely. There’s no trees.

8. If your main character was going to write a book, what would they write about?

S: her life. Dam dam daaaah! (Very intimate joke with myself)

K: how to use a sword and chill in the woods. And maybe necromancy.

9. Which of your characters are the best with technology? (can be whatever technology is appropriate for the time period)

S: is helpless all around! She has staff for that kind of thing, but she’s very smart and intuitive and I’m sure she could work a complex device of the 2019. Just don’t expect to get said device back bc she’ll rage-quit if she don’t.

K: not that good with mechanisms but he’s very patient.

10. Which tropes do your characters fall into?

S&K: all the anime ones!! Mm!!! And some of the dark destructive cruel paranormal romance ones!!

11. How would your character describe you?

S: like a ditzy girl with a mundane life and a bit of shill voice.

K: exhausting. And maybe manic.

1. What is your main character’s favorite object? The one they are most fond of?

S: her little ivory stabby knife.

K: his sword. And his coat. And boots.. and sewing kit!! AND his little pocket book... he can’t choose. He loves them all!!

2. If you should describe your WIP’s world using only colors, what would they be?

S: shadow and cold octopus ink

K: Golden glints and green leaves

3. If your characters could read whatever kind of books and fiction they wanted, what would their favorite be?

S: horror stories and gore! Blaaath moar bloooddd!!

K: contemporary philosophy.

4. Which one of your characters would be in grater difficulty if he had to bake a cake? And look after a horse?

S: would destroy the kitchen and eat the horse.

K: would bake a perfect cake and get kicked in the face by the horse (animals does not like vampy boys)

5. What would your character reaction be if they found themselves surrounded by hundreds of screaming kids?

S: tell them all a grisly story and lose herself in play.

K: take care of the individual an a calm and easy pace until the task was over and the children (that he was not hired to kill) are quiet and happy.

6. What are the most common dishes in your wip? Either rich, sophisticated cuisine or poor and simple ones?

S&K: sewing as these guys are mostly on the road during book one, the most common thing is just random woodland animal soup.

7. If a plaque could seriously threaten the population of your wip, what would it be?

The plague of the undead marching the earth!!!!!

Zombies! Zombies everywhere!!!!

8. If your characters had the chance to reproach you something, what would it be?

S: not sacrificing everything to get what I want.

K: not spending enough quality time refining my skill.

9. How many religions are there in your WIP, and do they get along well?

Three and no. No they do not.

It’s the same religion, just with different names and interpretations, but, they all scratch each other’s eyes out.

10. If your characters had to choose an instrument to play, what would they choose? And you?

S: she plays all the traditional instruments of her country but she likes string instruments the most.

K: a flute!!! Ohhhh!!! He should play an fluuute man! Many lovely quiet awkward lurking scenes could be written.

And I play the piano.

11. How do people get an education in your wip, and how important this is?

It’s important to your marriage position. And it’s a testament of your wealth! But universities are so full of propaganda that you wouldn’t really learn anything.

And uni is ofc only for the men. The lady’s learn embroidery.

Shiroin is gonna change all that. Rather brutally but.. Ya’know! Revolution!
