Hey there! So this is what I don't get. You're sitting pretty (or I guess not because you talked about everything working against you?)

But you're coming from where you're coming from, talking about "things are good here, let yourself want good things". Yeah, most of us (on this website) do let ourselves want good things. We've been working for them. That's why we complain about the systems in place that keep us from good things.

Making nihilistic memes and funny/rant posts about said systems doesn't mean we've given up on acquiring a lifestyle of classroom learning for smaller sums of money. It just means we're tired. So when you talk about the systems in your area being better than our systems, it just sucks. I'm happy for you having access to the things you're passionate about.

But you saying "uwu" on the "uwu" website isn't changing anything. I imagine your message may have given some people some hope, seeing that things like that are techinically attainable if we keep fighting for them? But it was just weird. You said "pls pls pls normalize access to education"

We vote. We get involved. I do. My family and friends definitely do. We stay educated and we care about these things as much as we are physically capable of. And as you mentioned, things have not gotten more accessible or affordable. I and all my older siblings are still paying off student debt.

So yes, if I thought you were capable of "fighting capitalism by yourself or whatever" (keen insight btw) I would have said that :)

Again, what I don't understand about your message--which even mentioned struggling to maintain the cost of living--is that you posted it to a website with a demographic whose opinions are very similar to your own. If you need to call me a prick and puff out your chest, go off.

But you could also do the things you seemed to assume that none of us in other parts of the world are doing to make your dream of cheap college courses a reality. Instead of talking about life through your personal lens, which is as limited as anyone else's.

Alternate universe where I literally just to go to school forever (for free) so I can just learn about art and literature and history and languages for 100 years. No job skills. No credit requirements. No student loans. Just learning.
