Hi friend do you have any Charles/Erik fic recommendations of a gentle variety? I watched the First Class era recently and am just….a lil broken up Re:: the pain of Charles losing his best friend and his sister at the same time… and then bottling up that pain for as long as he could until “you took her away and you left me!”

Okay, nonnie! I've got a few here that may interest you. Now, I'm a big fan of hurt/comfort fics, so I can't promise anything too gentle, unfortunately. 😅 (Most of my bookmarks are hella dark apparently) Anyway! Ill list you some I recently read, and mostly remember.

How Still My Love by Regann

"A mysterious sleeping disease, three loyal guardians, and a friend-turned-foe with unclear motives. It might sound like something out of a fairy tale but it's life after Cuba in the Xavier manor for what's left of the so-called X-Men. When Charles can no longer lead them, it's up to Hank, Alex and Sean to figure out a way to protect their mentor, especially once Erik comes seeking an audience. (Variously nicknamed "the Fairytale Fix-it," "Snow Charles and the Three Wishes," and "Alex feels via Charles/Erik." All three are pretty accurate.)"

This one I highly recommend, it's so cute, and the way the author played with fairy tales is fun. Fair warning tho, Erik doesn't stay at the end of this fic. But Charles' heart is a bit more mended.

Second Chances by justavagrant

This one is a time travel fic. Basically young child age Charles, Raven, and Erik replace their older counterparts. The kids build a close friendship real quick, and I believe it's ongoing.

Another Like Me by Ad_astrah

It's 1950, young Charles is getting his powers under control. He meets Erik, 19 years old, who's tracking down Nazis and killing them. They go on a little adventure together.

This is such a good question. And it’s one i genuinely can’t answer. There are just so so many good ones I wouldn’t even be able to give you a top FIVE let alone a fave of all time. Tbh I tend to rinse through authors’ entire works because there are people out there who can just write the absolute fuck out of those two characters like no other. Nanasekei, thepartyresponsible, theappleppielifestyle (rip). Rurounihime’s stuff is fucking impeccable (the one where the suit is hacked and it nearly kills Steve? CHEFS FUCKING KISS). Bond Has it Covered by the author i can’t remember the name of now? Another absolute classic, SO good, so raw n real. That fic by Del-rion where Steve is possessed by something or another and then tracks Tony down from South America or something HELL YEAH. Oh and OF COURSE goodmorningbeloved gets a mention because I fucking ADORE the way they write, not just Steve n tony but their general style too. THERES SO MUCH TALENT IN THIS FANDOM. Ugh. Anyway this was an entirely u helpful answer but it’s all I got!

How tall are you? 5′5.5 

What colour are your eyes? Blue

Do you wear contacts and/or glasses? Only sunglasses when I can actually find them

Do you wear braces? Like... for teeth or for other body parts? I had teeth braces in middle school, and then I have an ankle brace I wear sometimes because I have bad ankles

What is your fashion style? Athletic clothing 80% of the time, or just jeans/sweats and a top/hoodie (basically really casual stuff)

When were you born? January 16th

Do you have any siblings? Lol, i’ll give you the long answer. I have 2 younger full siblings, 3 way older half siblings (the youngest is 10 years older than me), and 2 older step-siblings who I probably haven’t talked to since college.

What school/college do you go to? I’m an undergrad in the UC system

What kind of student are you? Last minute on everything, barely ever read, but a surprisingly decent gpa. Also an honors student oddly enough

What are your favourite subjects? Psychology, though I feel like that’s lowkey cheating bc it’s one of my majors.... I also really like any law classes I’ve taken.

What are your favourite movies? I used to have one, but it was produced by harvey winestien, so it’s no longer my favorite, but I haven’t figured out a new favorite. Probably Shawshank Redemption or the Prestige, though as I say this, I’m thinking of a million other movies I love

What are your favourite pastimes? Reading a lot of the time, and talking/hanging out with friends

Do you have any regrets? I feel like the answer is yes, but I just can’t think of what they are right now

What’s your dream job? Realistically: I’d love to do research and be a professor at a university. Unrealistically (mostly bc I don’t even think this is an actual thing): Character consultant (like, actors or writers would talk to me about what they want from characters and I would help them build and understand the psychology of said character)

Would you like to get married? I honestly have no idea. Like, I like to think yes, but I’m also not super set on it either

Do you want kids? Again, super unsure. Oddly enough, I’m pretty sure I want to do research with kids, but I don’t actually want to work with them much, and I’m really unsure about if I want them or not.

How many countries have you visited? 2 (singapore and cambodia)

What is your scariest dream? During my high school and middle school years, I would have multiple re-occurring dreams about mass murder and trying to escape it. Like, one was being buried alive after eating food that was poisoned, another was a school shooter, and one was super similar to a concentration camp. Oddly enough, I could never figure out any type of pattern to these dreams, such as what we were learning in school or stressful events in my life.

Howard feels as if he can see the anticipation growing in the room, almost as a cloud forming over them. The guards don’t bother hiding the shock in their expressions, and even Jarvis can’t fully disguise the curiosity, his eyebrows quirked.

Rogers takes one short breath before locking his eyes with Howard’s. His blue gaze is almost peaceful in its resoluteness, as if there’s an element of inevitability in what he’s about to say.

“I’m here to ask for your son’s hand.”

Tony smiles, the grin that lets him feel lazy and but also razor-edged at the same time.

"Official test flight's tomorrow, but what if I said I'm in the mood for a joyride today?"

Surprise colors Steve's face a deepening sunset pink. He licks his lips, shining them up. "You mean..."

Some time back, he'd confided in Tony that the idea of "the mile high club" was probably silly, but still sounded sexy. "We will absolutely make that happen," Tony had told him, rock-solid certain. "Right time and place. That is a promise."

"Unless you're not in the mood?" Tony's just toying. He knows the answer.

Steve's posture hasn't changed, but it's telling in the way Steve's almost visibly thrumming now, and those sky-soft jeans are showing it in stretch lines that frame the hard truth happening behind Steve's button fly.

"Yeah," Steve says. "I'm in the mood."

He certainly isn't expecting an oversized fuzzy jellybean to come and meddle in his personal life.
