It’s absurd to me how people say that Elphaba and Glinda are only barely amicable acquaintances in the book as apose to their more focused on relationship in the musical. And even though admittedly their relationship is infinitely more focused and developed on in the musical, the way people dismiss their friendship in the book always annoyed me

Even during their first-on-one interaction in the book, although Glinda is passive-aggressively antagonistic to her, she finds herself weirdly interested in Elphaba, physically and intellectually. Throughout the interaction, Glinda diverges multiple times through her narration to comment on Elphaba’s features, usually in a superficial or mean way, but she occasionally finds herself almost entranced by Elphaba’s looks, even going as far as to unintentionally compliment her hair. After Glinda inquires about what Elphaba is reading she inadvertently makes an interesting observation about the text that a pretty, popular girl like her wouldn't be caught dead making and she quickly walks back on it, to Elphaba's delight. Proving to Elphaba and by extension us as the audience that Glinda is much more than what she lets on. It's only their first interaction and they're already so much in terms of dynamic and intimacy, them both breaking down each other's walls and showing a part of themselves that others rarely get to see

WWI postcard's for my mom, as she's more into that war than I am. Dunno what it was about the cookie jar that insisted I bring it home, but it's just such a happy yellow...

Just realized a recurring theme in my Silly Oc Brainworld is that I have a lot of sibling pairs where the dynamic is “absolute mess” and “generally well put together and exasperated with their sibling”.

Chrysanthemum is confident and outgoing, she flitters from event to event to stay social and busy with other creatures. She has a hard time trying to encourage Milkshakes to ever leave her nest. Although Chrys doesn’t admit it, she’s just as aimless as Milkshakes.

Fidget is the proud owner of a craft store and a part-time teacher. They have turbo miss frizzle energy. Their younger sibling Fuzzmoid is often loitering around their craft store, sometimes collecting shiny things to hoard rather than create with. Fidget wants Fuzzmoid to help around the shop, but Fuzz is usually too spaced out to be much assistance.

Flan (now owned by @seanimal !!!) is the older sibling of my fursona Twinkie. Flan is levelheaded and calm, he often gets frustrated at Twinkie rarely taking things seriously. Twinkie looks up to Flan and tries to make him proud, she’s also aware that he just wants her to live up to her potential. They both also have a younger sibling named Cherub, a similar dynamic is passed down from Twinkie to them.
