Just a little drabble about Nakami and Akira!
This is them if you've missed my other posts about them! I seriously adore them 😭
Tumblr media
"You look better in my clothes than I do."
Frowning, Akira fussed with the edge of the shirt, trying to get it lower. "No I don't; your clothes are too tight for me. You just like how I look in fitted clothes." Akira felt wrong: his upper torso and arms constricted, his midriff exposed, his chest exposed. He wasn't self-conscious, so to speak, hell he didn't care how anyone but himself and Nakami thought he looked, but Nakami's clothes were uncomfortably different from his own wardrobe. The clothes were supposed to be fitted on Nakami, so then they looked and felt even tighter on Akira than they were supposed to.
"You're just not used to wearing tight clothes. I promise it doesn't look as tight on you as you think it does, it looks like it fits well!" Nakami pressed a cool hand to Akira's heated cheek and turned his avoidant gaze upward. "You're positively celestial." His hand tightened subtly on his boyfriend's jaw, drawing him close and fitting their lips together.
With a soft gasp, Akira surrendered himself to the kiss, leaning in to the other boy. Nakami took a single slow step back without parting from Akira. He guided them so his back was against the wall before pulling Akira closer, masterfully pinning himself between the firm surfaces of the plywood and Akira's body. He smirked against Akira's lips.
"You just like me in your clothes because it's easier to objectify me like this than when I wear something loose," Akira murmured, surveying Nakami with half-lidded eyes.
"Baby, I can and will objectify you no matter what you're wearing," Nakami giggled softly, his thumbs tracing circles against Akira's hips.
The taller boy grinned and rolled his eyes. "Then I suppose you won't mind if I go change?"
Tangling his hands in the glossy black of Akira's hair, Nakami pulled him into a much more insistent, impassioned kiss, wasting no time in pressing his tongue between Akira's lips to play with his. Humming, he slowly pulled away. "If you must. I don't care if you don't believe me, though; you look really good."

12 Expert Tips for the Design of an Ideal Modular Kitchen
The kitchen has transitioned from being only a space to cook into the heart of every modern home. With the emergence of trends, many homeowners are choosing modular kitchens in their homes. A modular kitchen can add sophistication, functionality, and convenience to even the most basic kitchen to create space that makes you as productive as possible. Especially in rapidly growing cities like Raipur, it has been a compulsion.
This handy guide offers some expert advice if you are planning to renovate or design a new kitchen. Here, we focus on including modular kitchens and wardrobes in Raipur. Find out what features to pay attention to when designing your perfect kitchen, be it a cool, contemporary design or a kitchen that fuses tradition with modernity-the best tips from the experts for crafting your perfect space.
Assess Your Space and Layout Before you begin designing, you have to determine how much room you possess and what type of layout would most benefit your needs and favors efficiency and functionality. In all honesty, the layout is really the heart of any kitchen design, for it either enables or inhibits efficiency and functionality.
U-shaped Layout: This works best in large kitchens and endows you with ample storage and countertop space. L-shaped Layout: Suitable for use in small or large kitchens, it is convenient based on area, giving flexibility in its overall design. Parallel (Galley) Layout: Suitable for long, thin kitchens. Island Layout: Suitable for open-plan houses, to provide a kitchen space, but for more storage and countertop space. In Raipur, where even the urban homes have small sizes generally, the best choice for making full use of such home is an L-shaped or parallel design. A good layout helps to move easily between the cooking, washing, and storing places; thus, it increases the functionality of the kitchen.
Choose Quality Materials The choice of material for your modular kitchen will entirely depend on the lifespan, maintenance, and aesthetics. Considering that temperatures at Raipur can be fluctuating at times and humidity increases its chances at periodic intervals, using a durable material is highly essential.
Plywood or medium-density fiberboard are what you can use for cabinets, because this material will withstand moisture and will smoothened your finish. Granite or quartz makes countertops highly durable and a great beauty. You're dealing with materials that you don't have to worry about too many cleaning problems because it is heat and scratch resistant.
Pro Tip: In the design of modular kitchen and wardrobes in Raipur, make sure they have finishes that are easy to clean and maintain, like matte laminate or high-gloss finish ones that can hide fingerprints and smudges.
Optimize Your Storage Solution The hallmark of a modular kitchen lies in its smart storage solutions. Use every inch of space to the fullest using clever storage hacks like:
Pull-out cabinets are perfect for long, narrow areas of operation. It really makes it easy to access pots, pans, and groceries. Corner carousels make the most of those difficult corner areas by utilizing wasted space. Tall units work best in maximizing vertical storage and come in very handy in smaller kitchens. Drawer organizers help order cutlery, utensils, and spices such that they don't appear cluttered. Such smart storage solutions are truly a game-changer in the compact living spaces of Raipur. Modular wardrobes tailored to your kitchen design can also provide for you a means of adding more storage to smaller homes as well.
Consider Functionality First Functionality should be what drives the design of a kitchen. A great kitchen that does not meet your fundamental needs can very easily become a pain to move around in. Envision and design your kitchen in the form of the "work triangle," which is the terminology architects use to describe the placement of the sink, stove, and refrigerator. This design principle will always facilitate easy movement from place to place without extra steps.
For houses in Raipur, where kitchen space becomes a constraint, it has to be practical and functional. Smooth workflows are to be ensured along with easy access to storage spaces so that the kitchen looks not only good but works for you every day.
Good ventilation should remain a priority. A kitchen cannot be well ventilated. A well-ventilated kitchen reduces heat buildup, eliminates odors, and improves indoor air quality. Installing a good quality chimney or exhaust fan will help keep your kitchen smoke and odor-free, especially when you cook heavy Indian dishes.
Now, with the hot climate of Raipur, proper ventilation becomes all the more important. So, by ensuring proper ventilation in your modular kitchen, you can certainly create a pleasant and comfortable cooking environment.
Pro Tip: If you tend to cook heavy meals regularly, then go for a chimney that has good suction power. Slim chimneys are space-saving and also very powerful, perfect for compact kitchens.
Proper Lighting Lighting can make or break your kitchen design. A well-lit kitchen not only functions better but also welcomes comfort. Incorporate three types of lighting that will give your kitchen an impressive look:
Ambient Lighting: Which illuminates the whole room. Task Lighting: For task related aspects like countertops, stoves, sinks, etc. Accent Lighting: Highlighting a key feature or providing mood lighting like LED strips fitted under a cabinet. In Raipur, many homeowners may not get much natural light in their kitchens so the choice of artificial lighting becomes all the more vital. Install energy-efficient lights that give good brightness without hiking up the energy consumption for sure.
Energy-Efficient Appliances Energy-efficient appliances are not only good for the environment but also will save a lot on your utility bills. In the modular kitchen, you can invest in these: Energy-efficient refrigerator Induction cooktop High energy-rated dishwasher All these appliances you can neatly blend into your modular kitchen, making both life easier and more economical. Summer gets pretty hot in Raipur, so saving power and keeping your kitchen cool at the same time is a much easier task with an energy-efficient appliance.
Tailor to Your Needs Much of the benefit of a modular kitchen is its customization. Every homeowner has different needs, and a modular kitchen can be designed to fit those needs. If you wish to store larger utensils, add space for a microwave, or provide special spice drawers, your kitchen can be ordered to fulfill your specific needs.
For instance, families in Raipur might be looking for more storage for grains, spices, or even a small pantry section. Modular wardrobes can also be customized with the kitchen, thus providing additional storage capacity for the entire house.
Add Modular Wardrobes for a Harmonious Look When you create your modular kitchen, do not forget that the modular designing principles could spread to other parts of your house, although different types. Modular kitchens and wardrobes in Raipur can link the looks of your home.
Such modular wardrobes can be designed respecting the finishes and materials used in your kitchen, so they do not feel out of place in your living space. In the bedroom, hallway, or living area, these wardrobes provide useful storage without losing some of the sleekness and modernity of the room.
Safety is paramount. Always, safety must be considered in the kitchen. From the fit of gas lines to the non-slip flooring, everything must be designed with safety in mind. If you have children, consider a childproof cabinet for hazardous items such as knives or cleaning supplies.
In homes with Raipur where the heat can go pretty intense during summer months, it is also important that your kitchen be fire-proof, or at least, be made of good-sized fire extinguishers or even heat-resistant materials for countertops and stove.
Surface Materials should be Easy to Clean A kitchen is a busy room, and cleaning up sometimes presents itself as a chore. Using non-staining surfaces such as granite and quartz means less time and effort wasted on tidying up.
For houses in Raipur, which is dusty and humid, use materials that won't trap grime. Laminated finishes on cabinets make them easier to clean, while tile backsplashes keep staining from cooking splatters.
Plan for Future Expansion While you are designing a kitchen, think of the future. These days, as people's families grow or their lifestyle changes, they may need to expand or adjust their kitchen layouts. Modular kitchens have the flexibility to add or alter units as needed without a complete redesign.
A kitchen like that with changing times in Raipur is a smart investment. Modular wardrobes offer just this flexibility: you can alter storage spaces according to your needs at any time.
Conclusion A perfect modular kitchen cannot be designed with slight consideration of functionality and aesthetics simultaneously. So here are the 12 expert tips to build a modular kitchen, which is both stylish and practical and efficient.
The need and importance for space optimization, climate considerations, and other issues of Raipur make modular kitchen designs and wardrobe doors more suitable. Modular designs will be suitable, whether you are upgrading your existing kitchen or have to construct a new one, with the flexibility to create the space tailored to your unique needs.

Why Choose Melamine Wardrobe Doors?
When it comes to custom closets, there are many materials available. Wood is a popular choice but Melamine is also an excellent option for creating beautiful, long-lasting custom wardrobes.
Melamine is a durable, shatter and scratch resistant material that’s easy to maintain and clean. It’s also a lot more affordable than solid wood!
Durability
Melamine is one of the most durable cabinet materials on the market today, known for its strong resistance to excessive moisture, heat and stains. It’s a resin-filled paper, fused to a particleboard substrate via thermal fusion and is very budget friendly, attractive and hard-wearing.
While melamine is very durable, it can be vulnerable to impact compared to other more robust materials like Medium-density fiberboard (MDF), or natural woods. For this reason, we recommend a sliding wardrobe option as opposed to a hinged door. Sliding doors take up less space, are easier to open and close, and help avoid accidental impacts or knocks.
While solid colour melamine cabinet options are available, they tend to be limited to blacks, greys and beiges. If you want a perfect, consistent wood grain aesthetic, however, we highly suggest a product known as European Textured Melamine (ETM). It’s considered to be the highest quality melamine on the market, and offers deeper textures, colours and feels more realistic than standard melamine products.
Water Resistant
Melamine is a tough material that is water resistant and will hold up well to harsh environments. It is also light, cost effective, wipe clean and comes in a huge selection of colour choices and finishes.
Unlike plywood which is a wood composite, melamine is engineered as a whole unit rather than being composed of small, weaker layers of wood. It is this manufacturing process that makes melamine so durable, scratch, shatter and chip resistant.
Another important factor is that melamine will not warp or swell as a result of humidity and moisture like solid wood will do over time. This is especially important if you will be storing wet clothes like swimwear and ski gear in your custom closet, or if your wardrobe is located near a shower room.
Easy to Clean
When you choose melamine wardrobe doors, they are easy to keep clean. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth or sponge. The material is also water-resistant, meaning it can resist mildew and mould. This makes it a good choice for areas where moisture is likely to occur, like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
Wood cabinets, on the other hand, are prone to mildew and mold. They also show fingerprints and smears very clearly, so they aren’t a great choice for families with young children.
In addition to being durable and water resistant, melamine is also stain-resistant. That means you can clean it with most common household cleaners. To make things even easier, a flat panel cabinet door is the easiest style to keep clean. TaylorCraft’s angled OE6, OE15 or bullnose (rounded) outside edge paired with an IE9 inside edge is ideal. This combination eliminates many crevices where dust can settle. For tougher stains, you can use a cleaning concoction made of baking soda and vinegar.
Customisation
A wardrobe door can have a major impact on the style of a room. Depending on the material used, it can add personality and flair or provide practical features that make it more useful. This is why wardrobe doors are available in a range of styles to suit different tastes. The most common choice is a solid wood design, but there are also many options for those who prefer something more contemporary.
The Denver hinged door wardrobe interprets contemporary homes with a special strip that becomes a handle. It can be customised in trendy colours and materials to create a unique aesthetic and finish.
The Sliding Door wardrobe is a versatile solution for corners, bridging, and large door openings. The sliding system uses a single track or triple track (3 separate grooves) to allow for a wider access to the storage space. The door is also available with a mirror finish for more ambiance. It is possible to choose between a melamine or wooden frame and a variety of handles.

Plywood stands out as a dependable and adaptable alternative when it comes to selecting the proper material for building or interior design projects. BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood is among the varieties offered and is renowned for its strength, resilience, and ability to withstand moisture.
Kitchen Cabinets and Countertops: Since the kitchen is frequently regarded as the center of the house, BWR plywood serves as the ideal material for making sturdy, moisture-resistant cabinets and countertops. It is a great option for a kitchen area because of its resistance to moisture and high humidity. Your kitchen furniture will stay intact and maintain its structural integrity even in the presence of dampness thanks to BWR plywood.
Bathroom Fixtures and Vanities: Bathrooms encounter high humidity levels and water exposure, much like kitchens do. For making bathroom fixtures like vanities, shelves and cupboards, BWR plywood is a great material. Because of its water resistance, it won't bloat, warp, or rot from moisture, providing longevity and a lovely finish.
Wardrobes and Closet Organizers: Due to its durability and capacity to support enormous weights, BWR plywood is frequently used in closets and closet organizers. It provides a great foundation for shelves, drawers, and hanging rods, offering lots of room for storing clothing, accessories, and other personal stuff. Additionally, its moisture resistance guarantees that your clothes stay immaculate even in humid weather.
Outdoor Furniture: Durability and resistance to weather conditions are important considerations when it comes to outdoor furniture. BWR plywood is a great material to use when making outdoor furniture including chairs, tables, and loungers because of its resilience to moisture and harsh weather. Because of its inherent durability, the furniture can stand the test of time and still look good.
Decorative Wall Paneling: In addition to being useful, BWR plywood is also adaptable in terms of appearance. It can be used as decorative wall panelling to give interior rooms more texture and personality. BWR plywood panels can be customized with a variety of treatments, paints, or laminates to create a distinctive and eye-catching design feature, whether you're going for a rustic, modern, or eclectic aesthetic.
Flooring: Heavy foot activity, spills, and dampness are occasionally present on the flooring. BWR plywood can be a great option for subflooring or as an underlayment for other types of flooring because of its high strength and water resistance. It offers a solid foundation that supports the floor above and ensures its durability.
Conclusion:
The uses for BWR plywood are numerous and varied, ranging from decorative wall panelling to flooring to wardrobes to patio furniture. It is a top choice for many building and interior design projects due to its outstanding strength, durability, and capacity to withstand dampness. BWR plywood meets all of your needs, whether you're searching for durability, functionality, or beauty. To profit from its many advantages and assure the durability of your products, think about including this adaptable material in your next project.

Newcastle, Take 2
As I was winding down my trip, I returned to Newcastle in the hopes of winning tickets to see Sam Fender perform at the O2 Town Hall. I booked two weeks at a cheap Airbnb near Northumbria University. The building had formerly been student housing, and the rooms reflected this, with bright green walls and functional furnishings— desk, chair, wardrobe, all made of plywood and sturdy plastic— with a bed shoved in the corner, up against the wall.
Upon my arrival, I set up what few things I had, to make the room feel more homey: books and journal on a small shelf over the desk, art supplies and food in the two drawers underneath, clothes hung in the wardrobe. There was no laundry here. There wasn’t most places, which meant that when my clothes needed washing, I soaked them in the sink, for 30 minutes or more, whatever seemed reasonable. Then I’d take bar soap and scrub and wring and scrub and wring, until I had blisters on my hands. I hung my clothes to dry anywhere there was space: over the shower door, back of the office chair, suspended by black plastic hangers from the window ledge, the edge of the desk, and the door hinges. When they dried, they were always stiff and smelled funny, like damp and animal fat. Nothing ever really got clean, anyway, so I’d wear things as long as I could between washings, and put on clothes that had been drying overnight and were still damp.
I hoped and pined for sight of him every day— I’d almost managed to think about other things, and relegate him to a dark corner of my mind— but being so proximal once more turned me back into a desperate, lovesick idiot. Vague logic told me no man— certainly not a stranger I wasn’t likely to meet— could fix me. But my feelings had far outrun logic at this stage, and my mind spiraled in futile obsession.
My initial goal when I’d set out had been self-discovery. I’d realized in the months before I left that I didn’t know myself at all. What I liked, what I wanted, what made me feel what sort of way. I’d spent most of the past years just reacting to things, trying to avoid anything that caused me too much pain or anxiety which, as time went on, became just about everything. This fuzzy notion got chucked out the window pretty early on in my travels, in favor of guilty conformism. Never mind I’d been trying and failing to conform for most of my adult life. I was horribly lonely (I scarcely spoke to anyone my whole trip, except for transactional purposes), and I had all my family asking me to send updates and tell them all about my incredible travels. That was all the pressure I needed to abandon my integrity.
The good news was that I’d picked up reading again.
Tumblr media
I walked into the Amnesty International bookshop and beelined immediately for the back wall, out of view of the store clerk, to avoid being noticed, watched, and asked that most horrifying of questions: “Can I help you find anything today?” As luck would have it, the clerk seemed even more hostile to social encounters than I, and disappeared in back, where she remained for most of my visit.
I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, but my loneliness— and the lack of a television in my room— made me realize I needed someone else’s voice besides my own banging around inside my head. I wanted something to help illuminate my situation, but also nothing too threatening, as this whole trip had become a mindfuck of, “Why can’t you be like everyone else!?!” My initial search was guided solely by titles. What sounded intriguing? I pulled books out, admired their covers, read their dust jackets. I took my choices up to the counter: a movie magazine I’ve since recycled because I couldn’t be bothered to read it, and two books, The Minute Particular by E.G. Lee and Strange Meeting by Susan Hill. One was about a man’s spiritual journey and the other was about two men who befriend each other after being deployed during the first World War.
I started with Strange Meeting and was instantly hooked. I was back to the feeling I’d had when I read M.F.K. Fisher’s As They Were, which I’d gotten for myself as a Christmas present the year before. The way the words felt in my mouth as I silently shaped them was both rich and exciting. I was also happy to do more than stare helplessly at a blank page, or creep on his Instagram, or else look dully out the window and feel like shit. I hadn’t even gone that long without reading, but I suddenly understood its place in my life.
Besides reading (and shelling out three or four pounds every morning for a latte, since the room had no kettle and I refused to go without), I’d opened up to my sister about my feelings (after having DM’d him, like a fucking psychopath, trying to tank my dreams by making an irrevocable cock of myself). I’ve never been much of a sharer. I always felt uncomfortable telling my family what I was going through. Partially, I didn’t trust them, and partially, I just wanted to keep up the performance, only ever communicating when things were going well. I also tripled down on my commitment to becoming a musician (though I still wasn’t sure how to make it a reality).
There was also food to help me get through the days. At this point, exhausted as I was from traveling and my own incessant mental rhythms, I tried to release some of the pressure by letting myself stay inside most of the time. When I went out, it was to see a film, go on a walk, or buy something. Otherwise, it was for food. There were lots of interesting-sounding places nearby, as I was staying near the university campus, and the city centre was only a twenty minute walk. Up to then I’d been subsisting largely on digestive biscuits, cold beans, and some sort of produce— carrots, apples, grapes, or anything else that could keep without refrigeration. I was desperate for fresh, hot food. Ramen, tteokbokki (I’d been searching, unsuccessfully til now, for some that was as good as what I’d gotten in Utah), nachos, dumplings, ice cream.
When I finally got a plane back home, I cried, picturing the view from my window in the converted student accommodations. It was bleak, honestly: grass, a few young trees, a couple benches, and a covered bike rack that doubled as the smoking area. A green wire fence held back trees and nettles and overgrown weeds. Just beyond was a pitch, patches of bright green grass coming up through red-brown dirt. Still, I felt like I was losing something.
Partly it was fabricated fondness, a desperation for “anywhere but here”. But, too, it was nostalgia, having grown up watching Poirot and The Avengers, reading P.G. Wodehouse. Something about the people and the country felt more relatable than where I was from. I felt the need to visit every town and city, from Cornwall to Aberdeen, where artists and characters I loved had lived and worked. It’s flimsy reasoning for giving up your apartment and your job and hopping on a place. But as a person who’s dealt with anxiety and depression for a long time, I know to follow the excitement— however superficial and unfounded— wherever it takes you. Otherwise, you’d never fucking move.

Heyyyyy if it's okay, could I request body worship on Jason? Wanna spoil my boy đŸ„ș🌟
so this is Part VI zombie!Jason, because that’s one of my favorite movies in the series and tbh i think he’s damn fine in it. i’m so down for writing for any form of jason though. ;D
(also have you ever smelled lake water when it’s nasty? gross gross gross.)
not that NSFW except for nudity! reader is mostly just taking in the view. B)
---
It's going to rain again. You groan as you look out the window, watching dark clouds prowl above the treeline. The air in the cabin smells musty, tinged with mildew that you just can't see to scrub away. And you've tried to keep it from being so damn drafty, but no amount of plywood or recycled two-by-fours can stop up all the holes. It's an old building, and you're constantly fighting a steep uphill battle against the elements.
Jason's not a huge help on that front, although he really tries his best. (You tell him so as often as you can.) He's not exactly a precise handyman. As far as you can tell, his technique is rooted firmly in the 'eyeball it' school of construction.
That's fine. That's perfectly fine. You can live with that.
What you can't live with is the fact that he smells like lake water, and that the stench gets stronger every day.
You get it. He's hesitant to change his clothes in front of you, even though you've been together for months. He doesn't own many clothes, and what he does own is patched up and liable to fall apart at the first vigorous wash. It's hard to find clothes in his size, so you just accept that until you can get to a department store (not soon, according to your calendar), Jason's wardrobe is extremely limited.
But still.
He's out at the moment, probably stalking around the woods and keeping a firm perimeter in the camp. You take the opportunity to scrub at the stone foundation of the cabin's walls with soapy water, trying to get rid of at least a little more mildew before the rain completely negates everything you do. Before long, Jason will lay in bed beside you, cuddling you close to him with every ounce of love in that zombified heart of his. In turn, you'll hug him back while really absorbing that great stagnant mud smell. Awesome.
The rain starts only a few minutes later. Naturally, it comes down in curtains. No gentle mist or soft rain. No, the meteorology gods decide that every linen in your cabin is going to get nasty as fast as possible.
And it means that when Jason finally gets home, he's soaked through.
He comes through the door in his usual hulking manner, shoulders filling the gap in the doorway, head bowed to duck under the top. After a stern talking-to about bringing bloody weapons into the house, you're pleased to see that he's machete-less, but far less pleased to see him dripping rainwater (and hopefully no other kind of fluid) all over the floor. His barn jacket is done for, and that shirt—well, you didn't like it that much anyway.
He gives a low grunt as a hello, and you grin and go up on your toes to kiss the bottom of his mask as he tilts his head down to return the gesture. Immediately, the smell hits you, and you try not to scurry away in horror. You can handle him slicing camp counselors into teeny tiny bits, and you can handle him coming home covered in viscera, but apparently that steel stomach doesn't hold up against whatever funk he has going on.
He starts for the bed, and all you have are visions of a long night with wet corduroy and denim chafing against your skin. You cross the gap between the two of you again to grab his (very wet) sleeve.
"Jason, sweetheart, hold on a sec," you say.
He turns to look at you, one good eye staring down in confusion.
You tug on his jacket until he faces you, then you reach up and pull on the lapels. "You're soaked right through. That can't be comfortable, right?"
He just looks down at himself like he's trying to gauge if he's uncomfortable like you say. In the end, he just shrugs. Clearly, it's not a big issue.
You look at the bed, again imagining the kind of night you’re going to have if you don’t nip this in the bud right now. You take in a deep breath (a potpourri—eau de waterlogged zombie) and let it out slowly before gripping his barn jacket a little tighter. You have his attention, both asymmetrical eyes on you.
“Listen, if you get in that bed like this, I’m not going to be comfortable,” you say. “Or I’ll have to sleep on the couch.”
No, you won’t. That thing predates you by at least forty years, and any cushion it did have probably disintegrated ten years ago. But the threat’s real enough.
He looks at you, eyes flickering back and forth as he apparently gauges how serious you are. Then, he reaches down and touches the lining of his jacket, hands just below yours.
He hesitates.
It’s the same dance you’ve been doing these last few months—wrangling with Jason and his weird hang-ups on himself when he’s around you. Once he’s out in his territory, he seems like he could care less what he wears (or doesn’t wear) or how he looks. He has a job to do, and as long as it gets accomplished, everything else is secondary. Then he gets home and falls into your arms, and suddenly he’s shy, freezing up, retreating.
It’s a conundrum. He won’t take his clothes off around you, but he doesn’t care that he smells like stagnant pond water. You wonder if his time in the lake or the grave killed his sense of smell off.
“Hey,” you say, soft like you’re trying to coax a wild animal. Your hands go up, framing his thick neck, cords of muscle flexing under your palms. “You’re fine. If I didn’t like you just the way you are, I would have high-tailed it out of here already.”
He gives you a look that pretty much just says doubtful. Maybe because the only way you would have left the camp otherwise was in a body bag. You don’t dwell on that too much.
You go on, “I like you for you, Jason. Can I show you that?”
He tilts his head. For a moment, you think he doesn’t understand your intentions, but then he gives a slow, askew nod.
You’re not going to tug him to the bed like you usually do. Instead, you pull his jacket off as he stands there, dripping on the damp flagstones. It’s difficult, wet as it is, and Jason’s height and width don’t help the issue. But you manage, carefully pulling his arms through the sleeves, then dropping the jacket (with a disturbingly wet sound) on the floor behind you.
Then, you start working on the buttons of his flannel shirt. Most of the buttons are clinging on for dear life, fighting against the bulk of his chest and the worn threads. You go about it slowly, reverently, trying to show him as best you can that you adore every piece of him. Little by little, you expose his chest, the strange gray hue of his skin, the weirdly hypnotizing way his pectoral muscles move under the dead flesh.
You feel him lightly tug back against your grip, clearly growing more reticent about showing himself to you. But you pull back, even though if he really wanted to get away, he’d do so and probably take your hands with him. You pause in undoing his shirt to run one hand over his chest with a feather-light touch. His skin is cool to the touch, and you wonder how much sensation he has left, if he has any at all. You’ve seen him take hit after hit from rifles, shotguns, blades, skewers—pretty much any implement that would inflict pain on a normal person. Those scars form constellations on his skin now, starbursts of gunfire connected to each other through long scars from blades.
Goddamn, if he’d taken his clothes off sooner, you would have had his whole body mapped by now. That’s a hell of a missed opportunity.
“You’re fine,” you whisper to him, leaning in enough to kiss the divot between his collarbones.
He lets out a soft whush of air that you interpret as a sigh, and then one of his hands finds your waist, pulling you closer. Permission granted.
The rest of his shirt comes off fairly easy, and you manage to hide your disgust at the feeling of literally peeling it off of him. Then, for the first time since you started this relationship with him, you see him shirtless.
He’s barrel-chested, built so solidly that it’s no surprise he can lift people right over his head without effort. And sure enough, his skin is mottled in a weirdly beautiful way. (You might be the only one who thinks so, and that’s fine. You never intended to share him, anyway.) He doesn’t have any of the bloat you’d associate with drowning, only the oxygen-deprived color. You never thought you’d think cyanosis was kind of sexy, but here you are, and there he is.
“Perfect,” you tell him, then you kiss a slow trail along his left pectoral, up to his shoulder, which is about as high as you can reach.
Jason, sweetheart that he is, bends his knees a little to give you a better reach. At first, he stiffens under your touch as you kiss his neck, approaching his jaw. But you stroke a hand over his other shoulder, soothing him as best you can.
“I won’t take off the mask if you don’t want me to,” you say, mouth close to his malformed ear. “Just let me know what you don’t want.”
You lean back enough to see him look at you; then, he closes his eyes and shakes his head slowly.
“You want to keep the mask on?”
He nods.
You smile against his neck and kiss him gently. “That’s fine,” you assure him.
Besides, you have plenty more of him to work with. You’ll see his face eventually, and you’ll probably love it just as much as you love the rest of him.
As you kiss him, your hands go down to the button and zipper on his jeans. He freezes up for just a moment, then relaxes. He trusts you, and you know better than to betray that trust in any way. You undo his jeans, then struggle a little as the wet denim clings to him and bunches up as you try to pull it down. You laugh under your breath as you try to accomplish all this without pulling away from him, but eventually you have to admit defeat.
“Hold on,” you tell him. “Denim’s pretty much the worst fabric when it gets wet.”
He watches you as you drop down to your knees, tugging his jeans down a little at a time on each side. Eventually, once they get to his knees, it gets a hell of a lot easier to remove them. You stop the effort only to help him take off his boots and socks (and that smell is brand new, even to you), then pat his ankles to get him to step out of each pant leg.
Again, you admire the sight of him. His thigh muscles are powerful, and it’s really not an exaggeration to compare his calves to a Greek statue. Honestly, if he were a little less... dead, you probably wouldn’t be his only admirer.
His underwear doesn’t amount to much, just cotton briefs that have had way better days than this. The elastic’s shot, and the only thing keeping them in place is the sheer power of dampness. Once your hands go to the band, he completely freezes up again, but this time, his muscles don’t loosen.
The two of you haven’t done anything sexual yet. From the rumors you’ve heard over time, you can guess Jason’s got a thing about sex in any form. He doesn’t mind when you kiss him, and he can’t get enough when it comes to cuddling up to you and holding you close. But he’s never touched you anywhere below the waist, or done anything that you could interpret as a come-on. You’d never push him too far, or make him do anything he doesn’t want, and you really want him to know.
“I won’t do anything,” you assure him. “We just need to get you out of these and into something drier.”
For a long, long moment, he doesn’t move. Then, he nods. It’s little more than a brief incline of the head, but you take it as the signal you’ve been watching for. Careful not to brush any part of your hand over his cock, you pull down his briefs, then discard them off to the side.
Just because you’re not going to touch it doesn’t mean you’re not going to admire it, though.
Because if the world at large knew that Jason Voorhees was packing that, people might rethink the idea of fleeing in terror. Or— well, maybe that’s a bad metaphor. Killing people generally puts off company, but there are definitely people out there who would not hesitate to bend over for this. His cock is long and thick, even when soft, and you can’t imagine what it looks like when it’s hard. Like the rest of him, it’s kind of an off-putting color (kind of a blue-gray, if you’re being honest in comparing palettes), but if Jason’s body can do everything else you’ve seen it do through what ever supernatural means, you imagine he could get hard, too.
After the briefs are discarded (and probably burnt in the fireplace next time he’s out), you reverently run your hands over his thighs, down the fronts, up the backs. You know he’s watching you, keeping an eye on your reactions as you look over his body.
You look up at him as lovingly as you can. It’s not an act, either. Sure, your wires got crossed somewhere in between running for your life from him and ending up in bed with him, but what you feel for him is pure affection. You smile at him, then lean forward to press a kiss to one hip, causing him to tilt his head again.
You stand back up, going up on your toes to kiss the holes in his mask over his mouth. “Let me get a towel,” you tell him.
He stays in one place as you go get a towel. The bathing conditions at the cabin aren’t great, pretty much limited to what you can get in the gravity well and what towels Jason gets from the counselors’ luggage. That said, you get the fluffiest towel you have on hand (it’s bright pink, and it’s awesome) and start drying him off from head to toe.
Again, you don’t really know how much he can feel, but you can tell he likes this. Maybe it’s just the sense of contact, knowing that you’re touching him. Your movements are slow, deliberate, and gentle. His eyelids droop, and he lets out a low, rumbling sound like a purr, head inclining again as he leans toward you.
Not for the first time, you wish you could read his mind. He’s clearly touch-starved, but you wonder when was the last time someone was kind to him like this.
You wrap the towel around his shoulders, then put your arms around his waist, resting your head against his chest. He doesn’t have a heartbeat, but the feeling of his cool skin on your cheek is nice, and the sensation of his hands coming to rest on your shoulders makes you feel safe. Rain hisses on the ground outside, wind whistling through the pines. Everything just feels right.
You pull back just enough to look up at him, pink towel and all, and you smile.
“Take me to bed, Mister Voorhees?” you ask.
He nods, then dips his head down to gently knock his mask against your forehead in a gesture you like to think is his version of a kiss. Then, you’re swept up in his arms and deposited in bed. He lays down beside you, a hulking mass of naked man, and you wonder how you got so damn lucky.
You curl up against him, resting your head on his chest, running your fingers along his sides. In turn, he rests one of his massive hands on your chest, fingers idly playing with the hem of your shirt. The rain lulls you into a doze, and you think it won’t be long now before you’re asleep in his arms.
Best of all, he doesn’t smell like anything now.

andante, andante
pairing: george weasley x fem!reader , george weasley x angelina johnson, bill weasley x fem!reader
summary: (part iii of mamma mia! series) after arriving on the island of kalokairi, she’s met with a storm, a horse and another very attractive ginger man.
warnings: mamma mia!au, muggle!au, angst, fluff, au where george isn’t that close with his family, mentions of storms, thunder, lightning, mentions of an abandoned house, broken stairs and windows, etc.
words: 3.7k
a/n: i mentioned in the first two parts of this that this was an au where the weasleys aren’t siblings but i decided they were so
 yeah :)
Tumblr media
y/n explored the small secluded island.
she found a large abandoned house. she could really make something out of it, she thought.
she saw something in it, a hotel maybe or a restaurant. an attraction for tourists and newcomers. sure, the place had broken windows and moldy floors but with the right motivation, what could stop her?
the place had a blue tone to it. aquamarine doors and shutters. the white walls and destroyed rooms. there were vines all over the place, intoxicating the beauty of home.
she tried sliding down the railing of the beautifully made staircase, she ended up destroying it.
she heard thunder from a distance, a few short minutes later, rain started pouring down with lightning. but, she still continues exploring the abandoned house.
faint noises of neighing can be heard in the distance. she steps down on unstable looking stairs, to what looks like a basement. the walls were made out of rocks and there was rainwater coming inbetween the loose floorboards from upstairs.
“hello?!” she yelled.
she found a tall brown horse tied down to piece of plywood. y/n could barely see anything.
the horse panicked, he jumped and broke the piece of wood. the floorboards from above collapsed due to the horse’s sudden movements. y/n yelped and jumped back.
the piece of wood the horse was tied to now under the debris. the rain was pouring, she was soaked from head to toe.
y/n thought for a moment ‘what could she do?’ she thought of calling for help. “wait there, okay? i’ll be back, yeah?” she ran back up to look for any bystanders or passerby’s.
she ran down a gravelly road until she was met with a man driving a motorcycle.
“stop! stop!” she stood right in front of the moving vehicle to catch the rider’s attention.
the rider had bright ginger hair and freckles just like the other two men she’s been with in the past week. the man stopped his motorcycle looking concerned and scared.
“can i help?”
she dragged him out of his bike and back to the house. she led him down to the basement, trying to avoid all the damage they could cause.
they prodded across all the broken floorboards in front of the horse.
“you have a plan?” she panted.
“oh, absolutely, i’m a trained veterinarian.” he uttered.
“really?” she looked up at him, a little hope enflaming in her heart.
“no. no, i’m a businessman but don’t tell this guy that” the small hope in her heart died out. how could he be joking at a time like this?
he lifted her over another piece of debris before marching over to the panicked animal. the horse jumped and the stepped back.
“woah! okay!”
“i’ll distract him, you grab the halter” she offered.
“good plan,” he looked at her “what’s the halter?” he asked, confused.
she did a double take at him until forming a new plan “just — just talk calmly.”
“easier when i’m calm” he expressed “alright, my friend.” he climbed over the fence
“storms are scary,” he started “and i wish i was home and dry right now, too, but believe me,” y/n climbed over the fence too but going over to the horse’s behind.
“it came down to a choice between leaving you and helping you,” he looked at y/n then back at the horse.
“there’s no choice at all.” the two of them stepped closer to the horse and grabbed his forehead, calming him down. y/n was clinging onto his gear and rope.
“good boy, good boy” she rubbed the horse’s forehead.
—
the two became quite acquainted. she’s noticed a type since she’s departed off to explore the world. tall gingers with freckled faces. she’s also noticed that only ron’s mentioned his last name. for all she knows they could all be siblings.
he introduced himself as george. he mentioned he lived, in the exact words, ‘in a shack on a hill’.
“ha! and what the hell were you doing there?” she laughed at his answer. they were exploring the seaside while getting to know each other.
“uh
i don’t know, running away i guess.” he stammered “everything at home was lined up for me. a great job and just, you know, my whole life mapped out. i wanted to take a break before i signed up to it” he sighed.
“how ‘bout you?” he nodded over to her.
all she did was purse her lips and shrug. “i have absolutely nothing mapped out. and no clue about what the future holds.”
she walked forward “enough walking. let’s ride.” he smiled at her and followed.
—
he brought her to the town. she went shopping for her new wardrobe. george just thought it would be fun to go with her.
right now, she was in a changing room trying on all her different outfits.
“so, how come you’re here all alone, saving horses?” he asked right outside the curtain.
“uh,” she stammered “i’ve been traveling my whole life. my dad was never in the picture, and my mum’s always on tour.”
“oh. she sings?”
“sweet as sugarcane.”
“you know, there’s some great stuff here. this dress would look very pretty on-“ he was holding up a very tacky blue dress that looked like a nighty. he turned away from the hats and dresses as she emerged from the curtains in a whole new outfit.
she was wearing denim dungarees with a floral yellow top. she was barefoot and spinning around to show him to full outfit.
“you don’t know me at all do you?” she noticed the dress he was holding. the two just laughed it off.
—
once again they found themselves somewhere else. this time a small restaurant, pub, bar whatever you could call it.
there was a live bad and the lead singer was obviously drunk and absolutely horrible.
“god! this whole place is incredible” she exclaimed as george came back with their drinks “i am definitely staying here forever.”
“yeah? your mum wouldn’t miss you?”
“no, she’s not that kind of mom” she brushed it off and laughed.
“oh, i’m sorry. i didn’t
”
“oh! oh, this isn’t a sob story, i’m fine!” she furrowed her brows and assured him.
“and it’s not easy being a mother. if it was, fathers would do it” she continued.
“well, i wish i could stay here, too.” he absorbed everything happening around him. a chaotic love band in front of him and a very pretty lady right next to him.
“oh, when do you go back?” she sipped her drink “to your fully programmed, good job, short haircut life?”
they both let out a small laugh “i have a week”.
“oh!” she cleared her throat and her focus went back to the band.
“listen, about what’s waiting for me back home.”
“yeah, hang on, hang on” she cheered for the band as they ended a song.
she was laughing and cheering and having the time of her life. “i am definitely staying here.”
he forgot what he was about to say and just laughed at her antics.
she raised her hand at the short lady behind the bar. “excuse me. are you the owner?” she inquired.
“my son the owner. he had to buy bar because no other place he let his band play.”
“hello!” the lead singer, the lady’s son sat down on their table “so, how can i help you?”
“well, firstly, you’re all awesome” this was the thing about y/n. even if he was horrible and drunkenly singing, she loved that he was having fun and enjoying what he was doing. that should be the purpose if everything in life.
“oh!” his eyes lit up at the compliment.,”and second,” she placed her hands on his “i’d like to sing here sometime with my group.” she offered.
“you have a good voice” the owner raised his eyebrow.
“oh, sweet as sugarcane” george affirmed and winked back at y/n.
“okay
then let us hear.” he gave the mic to y/n.
“oh, no. not just like that.” she leaned back on her chair and chuckled nervously.
“here on island, everything just like that. it’s the path of happiness. you think too much, you get unhappy” the man exaggerated, stood up and offered his hand to y/n.
she stood up from her chair, silently asking george for help. all he did was shrug in response.
“thinking at all is pretty much
a mistake.” he lead her to the stage and twirled her around.
“well, in that case,” she sighed “uh
 okay.”
she started humming, then singing andante, andante by abba, capella.
everyone was shocked to say the least. george, the owner’s mother, the few customers all paid attention to the stage.
the instruments started platinum in the background while a disco ball softly spun. she chuckled nervously before continuing.
she walked off the stage while singing.
“you are hired!” the owner excitedly yelled.
“really?” her eyes widened.
“yes! you are really, really, really, hired!” he hugged her.
she cheered while the owner gestured for his mother to serve them drinks.
—
later that evening, george brought y/n to his little “shack on a hill” to stay for the night.
they stopped right before the door, the stars brightly shining in the sky. before any of them knew, the two leaned in to press their lips against each other’s, george’s hand on the side of her face her arms around her neck.
it seemed like all time went out the window, she was laying in his bed, fully nude under the covers right next to him.
—
the next day, george planned a whole itinerary for the two. they went for breakfast in the town. he told her about all the food his mum cooked for his whole family. he exclusively told her about his twin brother, his sister and his parents. he didn’t want to talk about the others.
right after breakfast, here they were, on a boat to explore off the island.
“right” george grunted as he lifted the paddles of the boat.
“i don’t think you know what you’re doing” y/n chuckled.
“i’m hoping,” he panted “if i keep pulling these two bits of wood, we might eventually bump into land”
“oh, okay.” she was uncertain and a bit nervous to say the least. non of them knew where they were going, for all she knows they migjt end up stranded.
“there’s another little island over there. i thought we might go for a little picnic” she looked over his shoulder where she assumed where the island was.
“where’s the food?” she leaned back to absorb the sunlight shining down on them.
“oh, you’re gonna catch it, on the way” he winked. she chuckled and picked up what was supposed to be a fishing net.
george continued rowing we he admired her beauty.
“uh
” she stammered “so, we haven’t talked about last night.”
george faltered “no
”
“you should know that i never do that, as fast.” she explained “i mean, hardly ever.”
she paused “well, sometimes — a bit recently, in fact. but not on the whole, not.”
“i thought it was miraculous” he assured.
“um, i’m gonna say something here, and you should shut up as i’m saying it because you’ll think i’m crazy for a while, but gradually you’ll
you’ll realize i’m right, and then you’ll spend the rest of your life thanking me for saving so much time and getting straight to it.”
george looked at her skeptically “well, i’m ready”
“i wasn’t joking yesterday, i was serious. i want to stay here, and i think you should, too. i think we should make a choice to do something radical and wonderful, to live in this extraordinary place with someone
” she hesitated before continuing “someone miraculous.”
when george just stared at her she spoke up again “i told you, you’d think it was crazy.”
he sighed before speaking up “i don’t think it’s that simple. nothing is.”
“everything is, when you break it down”
george looked out at the distance before looking back at her. she was the most miraculous thing he’s ever seen, touched, interacted with.
y/n was biting her lip as she awaited an answer from him. when he chuckled, she felt a smile creep onto her face.
“i don’t think it’s crazy.”
she chuckled “that’ll do; for now”
he took out his camera to snap a picture of an angel in human form, sitting across him. he didn’t know why he ever thought of leaving her, even if they did just meet a day ago.
they had a lot of fun the rest of the day. taking photos of each other, catching fish, having a picnic and almost getting lost.
—
another few days went by, they slept in the same ‘shack’, in the same bed, doing everything together.
y/n was wide awake at 5am in the morning. she was scribbling in her journal everything that’s happened with george. she was happy ; no, ecstatic! she felt alive and amazing.
she stopped writing as she gazed at him. still fast asleep next to her.
she went out to the balcony and walked around wherever her feet took her. picking oranges, doing cartwheels on the sand. she also fell while picking said oranges, it fell on her head and a goat almost chased her off the island.
when she got back to george’s shack. she made the two of them breakfast. she was almost done before she opened a drawer on the kitchen island.
in it was a bunch of knives and other cutlery, and a journal, most probably george’s. it was brown leather with a sealed with a leather band.
she couldn’t help it, she picked it up and pulled a photo that was sticking out of it.
y/n’s fantasy world crumbled at her feet. it was george. her george. he was cradling a dark skinned woman at his side. she was tall, beautiful, everything george probably wanted. she saw a gaudy engagement ring on her finger. that did it for y/n, she slammed the book down and ran for it.
the loud noise woke george up. he put on some clothes and ran after her.
she just ran and ran until she arrived back at the farmhouse she found the horse in.
“y/n! y/n! please, just listen to me” he pleaded.
“love to” she yelled sarcastically.
“you will?”
“yeah, of course. i’ll listen while you answer three questions” she stood at the too of the broken stairs, glaring daggers at him.
all he did was nod in response.
“are you engaged to that beautiful woman?”
“yes”
oh lord, did she feel like breaking down again. but she couldn’t, he was right there in front of her, a few steps down.
“and did you tell me about it?” her ring clad hands clenched into tight fists.
“no” he shook his, looking down at his shoes.
“and do you seriously think i could ever forgive you?” she asked one last time, breathless.
“please, y/n.” he pleaded once more.
“go! leave!” she stomped up the stairs, not caring if she fell through the pathetic pieces if wood.
“please just listen to me”
“that is enough listening! go!” she screamed at him at the top of her lungs before marching up the stairs again.
he just stood there. not knowing what to say. he just lost the possible love of his life.
of course, he loved angelina. but did he love her the way he loved y/n? considering how heartbroken he is about y/n now? probably not.
he heard her slam a door. he sighed before leaving the farmhouse in despair.
he ran back to his house with tears in his eyes. he packed up his bags, and decided to just go home.
y/n on the other hand was destroying what was left of the farmhouse. she pulled at her own hair while she watched the waves going back and forth through the window. she really like george, between ron and bill.
she most definitely thought he’d be the one.
the last time y/n saw george was when he was leaving with a boat. she was standing by a tree as he was whisked away back to his planned life.
she came back to the horse under the farmhouse. she stroked and hugged it for comfort.
—
a few days go by of y/n sitting in the old overgrown room, sobbing. she was heartbroken.
the only way she could fix it was either by singing, which she was not in the mood to, or being with her friends.
it resulted in option number two. she waited for fleur and dawn at the dock.
when she heard gasps of her name, she immediately turned to see her two most favorite people in the world.
her sullen face turned into a small smile as she ran to hug them. the two were screaming and shrieking to see their best friend again.
they met in the middle of the pier in a tight hug. they missed each other so much!
“oh my god! i see what you mean!” fleur exclaimed.
“this is beautiful!” dawn was jumping around, arms wide open as she twirled to see the place “this place is paradise!”
“i’m so glad you’re here” she sniffled.
they noticed her expression. their faces fell. “what’s happened?” “where’s the hot architect?”
“oh.. turns out he was lying to me.” she confessed.
“he’s not an architect?” dawn asked.
she shook her head no “he’s engaged, to someone else.”
she let out a small pathetic laugh “and she looks beautiful, and now he’s gone back to her.” her voice was shaky almost breaking down in tears again.
“i hate it when they do that” fleur rubbed her arm comfortingly.
“oh!” the three hugged again.
—
she explained to them everything that’s happened, including ron, bill and the pub, everything.
they rode the horse as she led them to where she’s been sleeping. “so, i’ve been sleeping in this farmhouse. but it’s the most beautiful place in the world. and it also has a horse.”
“yes, very romantic. we’re taking you home.” fleur sighed.
“uh, not before a fabulous performance by the greatest girl band in the world.” dawn interjected.
“yes!” “we’ve got all the gear! where are we playing?”
“oh! no, no, no. i can’t. i can’t. i’m not in the mood” y/n groaned.
“oh! but it will put you in that mood!”
“of course it will! the floodlights, the grease paint, the adrenaline of the crowd. a thousand descendants of great greek warriors cheering and clapping furiously as the irresistible beat transforms their bodies into pulsating pilars of flesh!”
—
when they git to the pub. it was as dead as the relationship between y/n and george.
no one was there. the band was exhausted out of their mind and the owner’s mother was serving just one customer.
“i don’t know how to sing about love when i’m not feeling it.”
“then, sing about what you are feeling.” fleur suggested.
y/n sang the beginning of mamma mia by abba in a sullen, depressing tone.
the band started watching her with comforting smiles in their faces. y/n slowly moved to the center of the stage, standing and swaying her hips a little.
when she got to the pre-chorus, the pace picked up a bit and the tone was more fiery and fun. the band started playing again.
dawn and fleur cheered before joining her on stage.
“yes, y/n!”
when they continued performing to the second verse, the owner whistled for more people to come in.
people started crowding the pub when she ran back on stage. the three were jumping and stomping to the beat.
the dancer around the pub and ended up on the bar counter.
dawn ended up accidentally pushing y/n off the counter and into the arms of another familiar ginger man.
“bill?!” it was bill. the man with the boat.
fleur was eyeing the two up and down. she definitely thought bill was attractive.
fleur and dawn left them alone against fleur’s will. she didn’t pass up the chance to walk by them every time though.
when fleur sat back down across dawn, she started ranting.
“my point is—“
“i know what your point is.”
“you don’t know what my point is.” she argued.
“your point is that you fancy him.”
she hummed back “you see? you were wrong. that’s not my point. it’s not that i fancy him. my point is, actually, that i love him and i want to have his babies and eventually push him around in a wheelchair and scatter his ashes.”
dawn spit her drink back into the glass to look at fleur weirdly. “i see.”
“and he likes y/n. and i don’t think that’s very fair.”
“he can help her feel better.”
“d’you know what makes me feel better when my heart’s broken? cake. why doesn’t she just do that instead? just eat humongous amounts of cake and leave hot ginger guy to me.”
they looked back over at y/n and bill. they were talking and laughing and generally just enjoying themselves.
“i’m going in” fleur smiled.
“no. you’re staying out, sister, because you love y/n and you want her to be happy.”
as dawn sat fleur back down, y/n and bill approached them. “hey guys”
“hi” the two said back, fleur’s drink accidentally spilling from her mouth.
“this is my friend bill” she pointed to him.
“hi!” fleur said again, flustered “it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“we’ve heard nothing about you.” dawn said, fleur laughing saying ‘hi’ again.
“i brought y/n here on my boat.” bill explained.
“you’ve got a boat!” fleur exclaimed “he’s got a boat!”
“and then i worried about her so i came back.” bill continued.
“he worries, he cares. and he’s got a boat!”
“and now, i’m taking her out to sea again.”
“taking her out to sea again. in the boat”
dawn looked at fleur weirdly before fleur sat down and downed her drink.
“you don’t think i should go?” y/n stepped forward and whispered to dawn.
“are you kidding? of course, you should.” dawn turned around the get fleur again “tell her she should go.”
fleur stayed silent for a few seconds before dawn slapped her arm a few times. “you should absolutely go.”
“that’s what i’m saying”
“i- i’m saying it too. go.”
“go! and do everything i’d do!” dawn stepped forward.
“nearly everything. i’m sorry.” fleur pulled her back.
“thanks, guys. i’ll be back soon.”
“bye, darlin’!” “bye.”
when y/n was out of sight, fleur’s smile faltered. “could i get some cake please?”
“some cake over here?” dawn gestured for a waiter.
“— a lot of cake!”

Kim & Tom are architects in Melbourne, Australia, and they’re big fans of “stuff.” This is how they handle it in their small apt. The nicest thing about the apt. is the glass-enclosed terrace where they keep lots of plants.
Tumblr media
They selected the leather chair as a housewarming gift b/c it’s “super squishy.”
Tumblr media
They have an odd-shaped triangular kitchen table so they can sit and eat together at the point, and put things like a handbag and laundry, on the wide part.
Tumblr media
They like lots of colorful pillows and their hat collections hang neatly above the sofa.
Tumblr media
The wardrobe! This particular section is all Kim’s skirts and dresses.
Tumblr media
‘Our living room is pretty much just a wardrobe
’ says Kim. ‘There was no way we would have been able to fit everything in the wardrobes that were built into the apartment so the first thing we did was add open wardrobes to the space.”
Tumblr media
Shelf made from blocks and plywood looks homemade, but it was store bought for Tom’s shoes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kim says, “We love collecting things, we have heaps of vintage cups, plates and random bits of glassware,’ says Kim. ‘A little bit of coffee paraphernalia too, we work on lots of cafes and do love a good coffee.”
Tumblr media
Kim says, “The bed is designed to be taken apart so it can move with you from house to house, which is exactly what we did!” Well, it certainly is a colorful apt.
