-SO! What's Crowley's life like working for Gabriel? Well, nothing short of HELL 2.0.

-What do I mean by this? I mean it's staying at the side of the guy who has the emotional stability of a broken pendulum/metronome, getting glared at and non-verbally insulted by anyone looking, and all that being mixed with the 'R and R' Gabriel has woth Crowley, which leaves him battered and bruised until Gabriel heals him.

-As a result, Crowley has a hard time moving when his day is over, specifically when he has time alone and can clean himself off a little.

-Some days, he has to crawl to the sink, other days, he just lets unconsciousness take him because he is too tired to do anything else.

-And when I say tired, I don't mean sleep. I mean his body is achey and heavy, so much so that it's hard for him to lift his arm sometimes.

-This weakness carries on into when he works in the 'day' and gets only a small amount of strength when he gets an adrenaline rush for having to deliver files under a time limit.

-Does Gabriel help? Well, NO. He instead makes a game of it (this is Repossession!Gabriel we're dealing with, people. This one's an asshole.). He often tests Crowley by commanding him to WALK to meet him, specifying that he must obey because of his place in Heaven's and the Almighty's eyes.

-When Crowley passes, he gets to lean on Gabriel to rest for a second. When he fails, he gets kicked around and called useless.

-It's even worse when he knows he's a mess, hasn't cleaned himself, amd must do so IN FRONT OF GABRIEL, who watches in case Crowley does anything 'suspicious.'

-The exhaustion of it all leads to Crowley passing out, both in and out ofnthe office, and leads to his feathers molting freely, something Gabriel is questioned for and something he punishes Crowley for because, 'he's being lazy and isn't following his orders.'

-When he's picked up by Aziraphale, Crowley is given a lot of time in bed and some food so he can get his strength back, and is even given a cane so he can walk.

-Michael did notice when Crowley's condition was getting unwell, but thought it was a part of Gabriel's "training" of the demon rather than something else.

Yeah, I have no words. I was writing an alternate universe for Repossession (where Gabriel follows through with re-blinding Crowley as punishment for 'failing' the test with Michael, as well as uses the rings to completely rip his wings out. But Crowley goes catatonic with shock and Gabriel can't rouse him, so he sets the collar down to 01 and lets him rest in bed as he waits for Crowley to come back...with less than optimal results), and I was suddenly struck with inspiration when I was writing the scene for how his eyes looked while laying in bed after being blinded. This was only supposed to be a sketch of his eyes so I had an idea of what it looked like, but then the sketch got bigger to include the whole bed, it got cleaner and cleaner, and then color appeared and shading… And then this happened.. apparently I can't shade or draw hands/hair but that's your guys' problem now haha

Uhhhhh by the way, if I were to keep writing this, would anyone be interested? I'm just kinda writing it for me right now, but if others are interested, maybe I'll post it some day?

I'm not sure that it warranted that tag, but I decided to play it safe and include it.

Wow. This one can be tough to read in that there is a lot of physical and emotional torture. So big warnings there. But wow. Such an amazing story.

The strength and depth of Crowley’s and Aziraphale’s feelings for each other in this are intense. And the story is so compelling. I read this one as it was being updated and jumped in to read every new chapter.

This is another story that has spawned a huge number of follow up - there’s a podfic and graphic novel in progress, tons of artwork, and many many follow up stories (I mentioned earlier loving the alternate ending fic Reparations by Dacelin).

Definitely recommend this story!

A story that connects the world of Repossession and Descent into Perdition! DiP Gabriel finds himself in the world of Repossession shortly after burning down the DiP bookshop, but before he went to see Crowley. He isn't sure why Heaven hates him so much, and while looking for Crowley, finds himself back at the bookshop, though he can tell something is off.

I mostly just have been looking for a work that mixed DiP Gabriel and Repo Crowley together (not literally together, not dating here) in a way that I thought was interesting and satisfying- Gabriel would be looking for Crowley's attention, but Crowley would be absolutely terrified of him. Aziraphale could help if Gabriel wasn't terrified of him.

I don't actually really know where I'm planning on going with this??? It's just the culmination of a late night thought process and I hope it'll be interesting lol

• angels' touch burns demon whumpee, the angel whumper can hurt them with a single touch and the angel caretaker cannot touch them directly

• the demon whumpee is captured and made to fight other demons as entertainment for others

• the angel caretaker is responsible for treating their injuries during their captivity, ends up getting attached to them

• the demon whumpee gets captured by angels; even after they are finally rescued by other demons, they are considered disgraced:

- the caretakers are risking their own well-being just by interacting with them, let alone caring for them

- the demon whumpee has lost certain everyday privileges that is hard for a demon to live without

- they lose their home, friends and possessions

- even the demon caretaker/s can't help looking down on them, they end up blaming the whumpee for what happened to them (bonus: do the caretakers learn? does the whumpee get better caretakers?)

- demon whumpee is banished from their home realm and ends up getting recaptured by the angels

- demon whumpee is banished from their home realm and ends up in the human world, where they are captured and treated like a beast (bonus: are captive demons a thing in the human world, or is the whumpee the first?)

Burning with holy water

-> forced to drink it by the whumper

-> used by the whumper to mark or scar them permanently, perhaps with the whumper’s name, or cruel words about the demon

-> fellow demons using holy water to brand disgraced demons

-> a demon who suffers chronic pain from a holy water burning hundreds of years ago

 Hurt by angel whumper

-> just looking at the angel causes the demon whumpee great pain, and physically burns them if the angel is in their true form, so the demon has to keep their eyes shut at all times and can’t see the angel coming

-> demon doesn’t understand the angel’s language, so they feel completely alone

-> any angel food makes them unbearably sick, and the angel laces their food with holy water

-> the angel whumper collars the demon whumpee with the angel’s own halo. The halo burns terribly, forces the demon to obey the angel’s will, and stops the demon from getting too far from the angel at any time

-> demon caught by an angel much stronger than they are, ie. an archangel

Wing whump

-> damage done deliberately by a whumper, including hooks to string them up, or coloured rings put through the membrane to make them “look pretty”

-> whumper using the demon’s wings to drag them across the ground

-> angel whumper cutting away the demon’s wings to make them look more human

-> OR accidental damage, if they catch on something sharp and are torn, or an arrow/bullet is shot through them during a fight

Horn whump

-> damage done deliberately by a whumper, including filing them down, using them to drag the demon

-> unoiled horns becoming unbearably itchy, or overgrown horns curling around and digging into the whumpee’s skin, eventually becoming infected

-> demon accidentally hurting the caretaker/friend with their sharp horns when panicked

-> a young demon who gets mocked for their horns not having grown in yet

Tail whump

-> a whumper dragging whumpee by the tail, threatening to cut it off, or stamping on it

-> tail being extremely sensitive, so its excruciating when the whumper cuts or treads on it

-> demon beaten with another demon’s tail like a whip

-> demon whumpee’s tail is curled up and painfully restrained so they won’t hurt anyone with it

-> demon whumpee loses their tail in an accident and are mocked for it by other demons, and get phantom pains from the missing limb

-> missing tail also causes offset balance, making the whumpee clumsy, and they miss being able to curl their tail around themself for comfort

I've been reading Descent into Perdition by @dreamsofspike-blog after Repossession, and after the utterly beautiful darkness of it all, I've decided tontake it upon myself to inject some hunorninto bothbof these stories so they're slightly easier to swallow.

If you haven't read either fanfics, first off TW for abuse and manipulation because both deal in those topics, along with non-con and kidnapping, so if you're sensitive to any of those, don't read them.

If you have read them, I hope you enjoy this because this is honestly me using my coping mechanism so I don't lose it from all the edge😅

With all that out of the way, ENJOY!!

So, right off the bat, this is something of an Actor AU where the characters are acting in a production like a film or movie.

In this universe, Repossession was filmed before DiP, so it was demanding for Crowley and Gabriel, who both had to lose weight for their roles, though Crowley did get to get those pounds back in DiP.

The three slept in different rooms, like hotel rooms, and Crowley ended up being the absolute devil because he had copies of their room keys and would wake up Gabriel and Aziraphale because he was the most energetic of the three.

Aziraphale wasn't a fan of wearing gloves because he kept dropping his props.

Gabriel remembered all his lines.

The transition from badass protector to pure villain for Aziraphale was harder than Gabriel's transition from bastard to victim. Crowley was just glad to not be in anymore rigs for hours at a time. And having short hair again.

There were a total of 24 doctors on stand by during both productions; 5 doctors, 3 psychologists, 4 physicians/physical therapists, 2 first responders that had tools in case the rigs broke, 7 psychiatrists, and 3 people who had access to a non-kill, purely cared for animal shelter that let the guys come and go as long as they didn't steal any of the animals.

Crowley only feared Gabriel when he was restrained to the point he couldn't move. Aside from that, Gabriel made him laugh more than scared.

To lose weight quickly in time for DiP, Gabriel ate nothing but apples, though Aziraphale did make him have "cheat days" where he ate three full meals.

Aziraphale had a surprising amount of fun as an antagonist, but would apologize to Crowley and Gabriel before and after scenes were filmed.

NO ONE GOT ANYTHING DONE WHEN THE THREE WERE IN A ROOM TOGETHER. Any time they filmed scenes together, a chain reaction would begin with Crowley being a mischief maker and making the other two laugh and it would lead Aziraphale and Gabriel to forgetting their lines and even ad-libbing to make up for it.

All three agreed that the DiP dinner scene was the easiest to film because they got it all in one take, as Gabriel had never had sushi before. When it came time for the wasabi, Aziraphale told Gabriel to tell him to stop as he carefully put little bits of wasabi on the sushi roll. Gabriel only stared at him and said, "Put on so much that I can't even see the fish inside of it."

Aziraphale did not like mistreating his friends, but Gabriel didn't really take it personally.

Gabriel, surprisingly, loved the kilt he was given, and had replicas made for varying states of the story. Nevermind the faux-degradation Aziraphale used, Gabriel would stand up and do a cute pose to make him laugh; "You wouldn't hit someone this cute, would you?"

Crowley eventually got himself a kilt and the two came up with some 'comeuppance' for Aziraphale: he doesn’t get a kilt until after the production is wrapped up.

The bookshop scene at the end of Repossession was Crowley's hardest scene to film because the set had been changed and he didn't know his way around very well. And because he was in heeled shoes that weren't very good for running.

The wings both were and were not CGI. The wings them selves were, but the damage dine to them wasn't.

Crowley kept the prop collar he wore as a momento, though he never really puts it on.

One outtake from the DiP dinner scene from Gabriel: "F[BEEP] you, I don't want your ravioli." It took everyone a good ten minutes to calm down.

Michael, in both productions, often forgot her lines and would need to do retakes. All three male leads did tease her on this in a very well-meaning way, but Gabriel helped in Repossession by holding giant cards behind Aziraphale for her to read.

Makeupband the writers did consider changing Aziraphale's hair for DiP, i.e. making it parted so it'd out of his face more, but let the changes to regulated in his eyes.

Crowley did not get blinded in Repossession. He was just blindfolded for a little bit.

During the DiP dinner scene, Gabriel actually had to fake the sour face because he enjoys lemons and sour things, even doing a lemon version of the orange smile thing people do with orange slices.

The slaps in the both weren't fake at all. Crowley and Gabriel got bruises from how many slaps they took, but they returned it at Aziraphale's request.

The rings Crowley wire in his wings were slip on cuffs that didn't hurt him at all.

Things the three kept from filming: Crowley kept the collar and rings, Gabriel kept the kilt and the heavenly suit, and Aziraphale melt the weapons and the watch, and he keeps them all on his mantle.

The bags and dark circles Crowley and Gabriel had were drawn on with eyeliner.

During the "stretching the wings" scene in Repossession, Crowley made Gabriel laugh because he kept remarking that his position would make a SICK album cover.

Aziraphale was nervous and excited at hearing the news of Ascent from Perdition, because he hated hurting Crowley and Gabriel. He also wasn't too keen on his costume change.

One person actually did try comforting Gabriel in one of the scenes of DiF. It was legitimately funny to see, but the cut did not make it into the final project.

Numerous people slipped on the floors of Heaven because they were polished and waxed ALL THE TIME.

Gabriel laughed the most during 'intimate' scenes.

At least 50 cuffs were broken

ALL of the weapons were real. Nothing was faked, though Gabriel and Aziraphale were beating on dead pigs as anolouges.

Michael calling Gabriel 'brother' made a lot of his days while filming

When filming wrapped up, the makes celebrated with a small get together, and then sleeping like the dead
