That would have made my historian grandpa very happy, he always had a soft spot for Napoleon lol As a historian specializing in the Napoleonic era, this makes me happy too! 💙 Maybe I can use TSK’s Napoleon as a guest star in one of my stories one day.

This is why I like that more books are becoming digitized. My school's & libraries have been in quarantine since March, meanwhile I'm trying to write my thesis & graduate. It would have been so impossible to do any research without ebooks and pdfs. I just wish museum online catalogues would improve. Absolutely! I’ve spent this past semester teaching an online class about online research and doing online research myself. And I’ve been exceptionally lucky during the lockdown, because I’m also employed by a library. As I still had to come to work, I got to do my research there in peace and quiet.

Lolol... maybe bring a book you enjoy/have to read anyway so that you can do that while you wait/travel? Ah, the way is not that long, but it’s infested with construction sites, so I’ll need my full attention 😂

Updates of a Working Nature...

So... I got the job. xD I won’t be starting for a few weeks yet, but y’all have no idea how stoked I am. This may well be the first job I’ll have ever had in my life that I’m actually excited about the job itself. Since this job will be delayed for a few weeks, I’ll be doing a temp job for a couple of weeks in between.

All of this means I have a lot to do... a lot of paperwork to figure out... (and medical, yikes...), plus sorting out food schedules, clothing for work, etc. So I’m shortly going to have a lot less time. For now, I’m going in-game when I can, and queuing up one post per day. I’ve no idea how much energy I’ll have for sims in the near future.

I also want to really thank those of you who were wishing me good luck! This is a major accomplishment for me for reasons I won’t go into here. Just know that I’m grateful so many of you were cheering me on. It helped me keep the anxiety under control while I was waiting. <3

All these Shadowhunters/Malec posts I’ve been doing are inspired by a series of novels by @cassandraclare​​, that were adapted first into a movie (The Mortal Instruments) and currently a tv show (Shadowhunters - Season 3 airs in April, as if I’m not sitting here on effing pins and needles wanting it in January, okay).

The single greatest part IMO is the love story between the 1/2 demon 1/2 human warlock Magnus Bane, and the angel-blooded demon-slaying Shadowhunter Alec Lightwood -- aka MALEC. 

(I will NEVER be over that S01 wedding scene -- GAWD, the screaming I did!!)

Tbh I know not of this Magnus dude, but what I did pick up from picture 8 is that I reckon he's one hell of a diva bitch! Like, it's his way or the high way? Then I carried on scrolling and saw the heels and I was like, yeah, bitch is fierce AF! (His smile told me that I mean, in pic 8)

Magnus Bane is THAT. B!TCH.

Magnus is power and awe and beauty and strength and sex and magic and art and eternal and dark and light and perfection and FRIKKIN LOOK AT HIM

He’ll protect the Downworlders, raise his children, help his Shadowhunter boyfriend/fiance/husband slay a few dragons, eff up some Circle members, summon demons, and STILL be fabulous and party all night! He’s the HIGH WARLOCK OF BROOKLYN.

I can’t help squealing every time I catch the Chairman wandering around and meowing; cats are SO cute in this game!! I like them more than dogs, which is crazy, cuz I hate cats IRL (cuz I’m so allergic to them).

Thank you! There are 2 bedrooms I included on the penthouse lot -- one inspired by the tv show version in S02, and that one inspired by the movie/S01 version, which I honestly like A LOT more, for keeping the Asian flair.

hi. I really like your CC. aand I wanted to ask how did you learn to convert clothing from other games? WCIF some tutorials? Especially the textures..

I’m sort of self-taught so it’s a little hard to explain, but MTS is an excellent resource for asking specific questions (And I believe they have some tutorials as well!)

I do plan on making a tutorial of my process at some point, which may be of some help to you... I need to start planning that.

The main four programs I use though are, in order, Blender (For importing the models and fiddling with them), Milkshape (Making sure everything looks good and exporting it to .wso, the format TSRW recognises), Photoshop (Textures!) and Workshop naturally (Putting everything together~!)

THIS is a resource I still rely on, especially for TSRW.

THIS tumblr helped me a lot especially when I was wanting to understand some jargon of the CC community and also has useful tutorials and information posts.

@murfeelee has some tutorials among her postings, one of which I think was a reblog of one of my Triss WIPs back in the day - Either way, super nice and super useful 8D

The old sims wiki has some tutorials about bump maps, masks, etc that still hold up as well.

Thanks! I’m thinking of doing Jace’s original runes from the movie; they’re prettier than the TV version. I’m violently against supporting Carrot Fries Clary Fray, but I admit I’d feel a bit bad if I didn’t make Clary’s runes, for the simmers that do like her and would want her in their gameplay. I just... urgh. >_> Making her runes means I’d actually have to look at the orange wench. U_U

I think they figured Izzy being a crack fiend was a good way of introducing Sebastian, since he helps her break her addiction and you end up rooting for him cuz he’s hot and helpful and British and hot.... literally.... O_O

Yes- Magnus and Alec xD OMG, yes! I forgot about Luke. Helllllll Luke is sexy AF. 10/10 would have his babies too xD honestly all the actors on shadowhunters are hot except for clary #sorrynotsorry xD and also Harry Shum rocks eyeliner and glitter ;_; like HOW                  

As hot as Harry is in Season 2, and despite how badly I want his babies, IMO his S02 look was less Magnus Bane & more Adam Lambert (NOT a bad thing by any means, #BeStillMyOvaries!). It’s just that they all but abandoned the S01 glitter & colorful makeup Magnus is known for; tryna make everyone all Edgier™ and Darker™ or whatever. I hope in S03 they put the color back in.

Indeed, there is some serious man candy on that show!  I'm happy to see Harry Shum get to talk, they always wasted him (and those abs) on Glee.  Have you seen him in 'Fire City'?  I adore his theatrical character in Shadow Hunters but he does broody well too.      

I never saw a single episode of Glee, or Fire City, but listen I am on a rabid gif hunt for Harry Shum Jr images, okay, cuz the man is too dang fine.

That was EXACTLY what I was going for! XD Thanks so much, yes, I was like Aw~~! Looks like Oz! :3 As for Shadowhunters, it’s a pretty decent show. Season 1 was ok -- Magnus is literally the best part -- but Season 2 is when EVERYTHING gets better: the quality, storyline, special effects, acting (except for certain radioactive carrots who shall remain nameless.....). But real talk I’m only in it for Malec. The main character is an annoying orange vegetable.

Late Replies! School Blues

Hiya! Sorry I didn’t do one of these sooner. This semester is looking kinda sucky -- less classes (yay!), but they’re longer now (boo!) -- my Japanese 3 class is 9am to 1pm THE HAYUL!? My other classes aren’t half that long, but I’m also doing an Independent Study, and the teacher in charge must think no one’s got a g-d life -- I’m so sorry your schedule sucks and you’re stuck here till after 10pm, but I have places to be and things to do -- ta! XP

So yeah, my free time is being compromised.
