What do you hope to see in Horizon 3?

I could give a whole TED talk about this lol, but it boils down to a few broad themes:

1. Greater refined focus on a well developed story more than “wow” factor. There’s A LOT of loose ends that need tied up and I’m worried it might detract from the plot too much. A good story is what I believe really drew many of us to the franchise (besides fighting giant robo animals) and getting back to the heart of that I think will cement the series as one of the greatest ever.

2. Aloy finally has a breakdown– like, not holding back, letting it all out. I’m aware there’s a lot of different ways she can express a tipping point moment, but regardless, she needs space to actually process everything. She hasn’t really had one yet and I think it would be strange given everything she’s been through, to not.

3. The first time she says “I love you” should be to Beta. Not a LI (if we get romance options). I freaking need to see them heal and have some sister bonding.

4. Talanah finally becoming a permanent companion (and god willing not being stuck behind an optional side quest AGAIN). We have all the other tribes repped in Aloy’s little group except the Carja. Their parting moment at Barren Light was very telling at where Talanah is emotionally after everything. Given the tensions caused between all the tribes from the Red Raids, Talanah would be an excellent bridge to help mend those gaps as she is in a unique position to empathize from her own losses, as well as her influence being a prominent leader as Sunhawk.

5. Go to Ban-Ur and the Claim. Need I say more lol. Petra for Ealdorwoman or bust.

So, what are your favorite MLP ships? I don't know if you've already been asked this before, but meh

less about being asked, more about me posting them nonstop lmao;

#1 Sunlight - (Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle) Number one and two are interchangable due to my mood, because theyre both incredible, and easily fit on a "favorite ships of all time" list i could make for myself. Sunset and Twilight shipping is to me in general all about potential. And if im talking endgame, the show would have ended so, so much better, if there were two lesbians inheriting the night and day. These two are it, with flying colors. Going from rivals to friends to close friends to lovers that would do anything for eachother, to ruling the world in a golden age together, my goodness, this ship is like the chef's choice at a menu. I also may have written a large fanfic of how i would write an entire season of the show with Sunset on it, heheheheheh. Also worth stating, i concider Sunset x Scitwi To be on the same level, if not being the same ship, even if Scitwi is a diffrent character, if someone loves Twilight Sparkle, they would love her in all her versions. #2 Rarijack - (Rarity and Applejack) Did i say sunlight is the chef's choice at a menu? Rarijack is the whole fucking menu. What more can be said about the legend of how the most beautiful Unicorn and the strongest Earth Pony fell in love? The City girl x Country girl vibes are incredibly strong, the opposites attract is at it's PEAK, and both of these girls can easily concider themselves the luckiest women in the world for having the other. It was the first couple i shipped on the show when i watched passively, 'cause i instantly noticed their potential, and c'mon how couldn't anybody. They're the hydrogen bomb of mlp ships, and they could easily sustain an entire season on their back if it was about their love story, which is, painfully, not canon, like any of these ships. Also i'm literaly writing a fic that takes Shrek 1 and makes it about Rarijack and it's as dumbly amazing as it sounds #3 Startrix - (Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon) Honestly this one is easy to ship because it's just endlessly funny. The biggest fail girl that almost destroyed the world falls for the only girl thats a bigger loser than her, and that is endlessly entertaining; specialy because compared to trixie, Starlight is the baddest bitch lmao, and they would hype eachother so much. (insert that post of loser ass gf being hyped up by other cool gf) And there's just an appeal to two unhinged women finding eachother and making eachother... better? worse? I think theyre both at their best when traveling together. #4 Flutterdash - (Fluttershy and Rainbow dash) Fun fact, i didn't ship this until i wrote "the return of midnight sparkle" i just had to write scenes with certain themes, and i realised it would be helpful to further the themes and plot and character development of the protagonist if Rainbow and Fluttershy were macking on eachother. And it grew on me! Daredevil girl and shy girl lift eachother up and improve eachother. Honorable mention: That one ship with with Cadance, Shining armor, and Chrysalis; because it is honestly funny as fuck; no matter how you spin it, be it cadance and chrysalis mack on eachother and shining tolerates it, or the Princess and the Queen have a silent rivalry as they try to be with their himbo, or even if the three of them gross together. it's always funny. (queue chrysalis with the "im not the stepdad im the dad that stepped up" shirt while playing with flurryheart)

I do have a question for you, can you tell me how you managed to keep near the same artstyle as clown? Because I need some tips if you made your own oc for Welcome Home

Well I’m honored you think that! and hopefully I can give some tips lol. 

Now to be honest my oc isn’t the perfect example, but my swapped roles with Frank and Wally is my best job at staying close to their style (I think xD) 

I’d say use a lighter brush for the lines, so that the colors show up a bit underneath them. 

Bright primary colors! But you can also add unique touches of blacks, or secondary colors. 

When you’re shading, it’s very slight. (Not including shading the color white, and a few selected situations in which the shading is more intense)  The colors used for shading are usually just a different color entirely. So if the color you’re shading is yellow, use orange to shade. If the color you’re shading is red, use purple to shade. You don’t need to darken the color you are shading with (usually), idk how it works but it does lol.

finishing touches! (Ignore the number 1., it’s not cooperating) There are little areas on the characters of welcome home, where the shading is just .. scribbled lines? I’ll try and show you lol

And then you add the lighting!

Hi I'm back with more questions because I am simply obsessed with your worlds.

In your post about the Abby choirs I noticed that Michael looks really different than Daniel and Kirstin, and all the other human derived guys in general. The other choir members and the dragons and the outside-the-abby beasts are all basically "flesh" colored with red and white thrown in, and they all have aspects that you can tell were derived from human body parts. But Michael is almost abstract looking, and lacks any really obvious "human" aspects.

Is there a reason he is so different? Or was it just a situation of "I drew it and it looked cool so that's how it is."

His main deal is kinda wrapped up in the two main magics at play in the Abbys. The aspects of flesh and soul! Flesh is easy to showcase but for the more soul ones I wanted to give them more of a strangeness to 'em. It's just harder since their representing worm isn't really visible. But their main vibe is cooler colors and more otherworldly traits, like dry blood/innards or presence beyond the physical body! I have more sketched but I'm just not as confident in their final designs.

And he's my favorite choir man so he gets a hella cool design.

Oh ho ho this is a wonderful question!

So things in the fungi family that aren’t mushrooms are molds, yeasts, rusts, mildews and… smuts. Ignore that last one. They’re basically just corn parasites, and someone saw one and decided to call it a smut.

I’m gonna be real, I probably like yeast the most. Because I can use it to make tasty cinnamon buns! As ashamed as I am to admit it, I don’t know very much about fungi that don’t have fruiting bodies that could be considered mushrooms. My greatest shortcoming.

There are some fungal adjacent organisms I love and know about though, like mycoheterotrophs, fungus-like protists and lichen!

I think there's something real about older children being more pressured to mask, to behave, to be "good role models" and "mature".

Raz was also discouraged from his special interest. They might consider it a phase and expect him to mature and stop.

Dion's muttering is a replacement for a vocal stim he was told to stop. He rocks back and forth on his heels when he doesn't stop himself.

Gus understands the sensory sensitivities his kids have. The circus onesies are made of a soft fabric so no matter what rough patched clothes they need to wear over them, they don't have to feel the itchy fabric on their skin. Nona was the one who came up with that for Augustus when he was a kid!

Frazie is trying to mask HARD. She likes to juggle things and toss them, especially when they have great textures, which plays into her enjoying knife throwing.

If they get therapy and can learn to unmask it would take a big shift in the family dynamic but be so worth it. Their stress levels would go down, they could communicate better, it would be healthy for everyone!

1) iiiiiii cannot do y/n fics they simply do not work for me I cringe so bad every time. I can sometimes read them and not die when they’re well written, but I can’t write it. (Ik this is a hot take sue me)

2) knowing the difference between compliment/complement, principle/principal, etc. AND THEIR, THERE, and THEYRE. ik simple grammar mistakes are inevitable, i do it too, it’s just fanfic but those specifically I cannot

3) when there’s like no foreplay in smut and they finish realllyyyyyy quickly…

4) when the more masc girls just act like men??? Stop writing them like walking straps they’re literally GIRLS

5) the words orbs, pulsing, squelching, and growled. no explanation needed.

In terms of things other ppl should write, I’m not a basketball player and only have a loose understanding of the game, so I can’t rlly do game fics, like when someone’s gf is on another team or the same team as them (if that makes sense¿). I’ve also gotten a lot of pazzi requests but I can’t think of any specific realistic scenarios so if anyone has more brain than I do definitely feed the people

It's kind of funny you bring this up, since IV actually kind of harkens back to that. Just a little.

Jonathan is considerate of Flynn's grief following the deaths of his family (there's NPCs in the forest who heavily imply that Flynn's parents were eaten by demons), fellow villagers, and of course Issachar. And then there's Walter who is quite frank about the whole incident and doesn't mince words.

And even though Jonathan isn't trying to encourage Flynn not to feel bad, his and Walter's responses are parallel to how Law and Chaos Hero responds to Futsuo's own loss.

(Please pay no attention that I grabbed these screens from a Let's Play of the PS1 port lmao.)

Incidentally, it's always kind of bothered me how fans latch on Law Hero for his well-intentioned attempt at consoling, when you've got Chaos Hero right there LOUDLY voicing that Futsuo's mom just got killed like adding further salt to injury. Damn, no need to voice the elephant in the room. I also think that Aeon Genesis's translation may have changed the original script a bit, which is why I generally prefer Tom's translation for the PS1 port. (In fairness though, a lot of official localization also does what Aeon Genesis did as well.) Either way at least Law Hero is trying to comfort.

Regardless though, I do still really like how Jonathan's and Walter's responses to Flynn's loss mirrors Law Hero's and Chaos Hero's. Law Hero and Jonathan are trying to be considerate of the protagonists' grief, whereas Chaos Hero and Walter are just plain being blunt about it and not really giving a shit lmao.

Okay but given Beach Vacay's glorious fit and accessories, what and how do chimeras smoke?

They smoke Marshmallow! Both in leaf and root form. It's not for any real buzz, but it's more of a way to soothe the lungs in cold/dry places. Outside of Mirum's hot and humid climate traditional chimera kind of struggle with some chronic respiratory discomfort. Chimera lungs are not fleshy expanding sacks like ours, but more so rows of bone arches within an inflexible air filled cavity. So any inflammation or swelling is acutely dangerous to them. Smoking was first started to soothe the lungs, but most mainly enjoy it for recreation with a few additional plants to get a true high going. Never Sleep is a favorite!

And as opposed to flavoring smoke like us, they color it instead! If you're extra fancy you can pack your pipe to burn through different colors as you smoke. Hella fancy.

Also since they have two distinct respiratory tracts, most chimera will have a favored side to smoke through. They inhale through placing the 'mouth piece' or well I guess nose piece? Into one nostril, which closes shut around it, and then inflating their bellows as normal. So they suck air in through the pipe. Smoke ALWAYS comes out of the trunk on the same side as they inhaled from.
