v3 scar headcanons
pondering the orb that is the v3 cast and scars. this is obviously going to be triggering though for a multitude of reasons so i’m gonna slap a big ol abuse/self harm/torture trigger warning on here and then drop everything below the cut. proceed with an abundance of caution :3
shuichi saihara i’m probably far from the only person who headcanons shuichi as having had a history of self harm. i think a lot of people really reduce and water down shuichi’s character to “guy with anxiety and depression” but it’s a very longstanding and personal headcanon to me. i think he has largely gotten over it by the time he attends hope’s peak, but still has the occasional relapse. scars mostly on the inner thigh and wrists.
hoshi ryoma ryoma, i don’t believe has much of a history of personal injury (and injuries he likely got in tennis mostly didn’t leave any scars) but i think he has old scars from cat scratches and bites over the years. also some nicks across his arms and abdomen from various scuffs in prison, mostly onesided; ryoma’s not the kind of guy who fights back, not really.
gonta gokuhara this dude grew up in the woods so you know he’s got all kinds of gnarly scars on his torso and legs. claw marks, bite marks, maybe something on his head from a particularly sharp rock. they’re his reminders of his time growing up with his forest family and i think while gonta doesn’t necessarily experience much of a feeling of “pride” around them, he isn’t ashamed of them either.
kiibo robot. skip
korekiyo shinguuji korekiyo is an abuse victim. i am reasonably confident about this stance. i think on the whole the abuse that korekiyo faced from his sister was psychological or coercive, mostly because his sister was bedridden, but i could see him having a scar or two from that time. what really would’ve stuck with this dude physically is his wack ass backstory-- this guy has undergone some crazy shit for his research, including torture which i won’t get into for obvious reasons, but like. yeah that’s gonna leave a mark. i also am of the opinion that the bandages on his arms cover scars that he created himself, not as a form of self harm but rather for like, blood sacrifice for rituals and stuff? but i did indeed borrow that hc from my brother soo.
kaito momota i think kaito has scars all over his knuckles from splitting them during fights. i don’t think he’s the violent hard hitter the fandom characterises him as, but i do think kaito struggles to articulate his anger, and that can turn into lashing out. especially if someone is being unreasonable or cruel to someone he cares about. so, scars on his knuckles. he might have other scars from similar fights, but kaito strikes me as the kind of guy to go in fists blazing, he definitely doesn’t fight with weapons if he can avoid it. the only other notable scar i hc him as having is a thin scar on his temple from the car crash that killed his parents when he was eight.
kokichi ouma so i’m actually one of the few people who doesn’t necessarily hc that kokichi grew up in an orphanage, i like the hc and i do use it from time to time but i read kokichi as a foster care kid. going from houses where he either had to bodily escape punishment or cause trouble just to get a bit of attention. dice being other members of the system/kids who were also as forgotten and unloved. all this to say i do find it extremely plausible that kokichi could’ve had some extent of physical abuse in his past from particularly rough homes-- and as such has some scars from that time. other scars he received through Shenanigans.
rantaro amami rantaro travels a lot, and talks about all his wack ass adventures and near-death experiences-- not to mention that it is canon in utdp that he will sometimes return home with a concealed injury. as such i think rantaro is pretty scarred up like gonta, primarily around the torso/abdomen area, but he has a few assorted scars on his legs, and a bunch of marks on his hands. my friend jim and i share the hc that he has scars that encircle both of his wrists from a kidnapping incident when he was eleven.
kaede akamatsu bit more of a normal one, palate cleanser, kaede lived a relatively mellow life. any scars she has are probably just from skinned knees and stuff-- EXCEPT for a large scar on her knee from a bike accident as a kid. ouch girl.
angie yonaga angie comes from an island where blood donation is a pretty common practice, so she probably has a few marks on her arms from the procedure. given that i don’t know much else about polynesian culture and angie’s writing is pretty disrespectful as is, i think it’s probably better if i just leave it there as far as any scars she could have gotten in a ritualistic sense. i will say that angie spaces out when she does art, so she might have some scars from accidents caused while working-- she does work with a chisel after all.
miu iruma given that miu was in a car accident that put her in a coma, she probably has a fair amount of scarring all over her body. abrasions, and also burn scars aren’t out of the question. miu is a pretty reckless inventor too so hard to believe she wouldn’t have picked up a nick or two working on her silly little things.
tsumugi shirogane tsumugi sews, but needle pinpricks don’t really leave scarring as long as ur not going fucking crazy with it. i think the vast majority of tsumugi’s injuries would come in from her time working as a bartender. broken glass is pretty nasty, and people probably would’ve gotten into at least the occasional fight. maybe a little scratch on her cheek from a conflict that didn’t get defused before things started flying. tsumugi wishes her scars were cooler, but they are, as she is, quite plain.
himiko yumeno she has an appendix scar on her tummy and a few on her knees from tripping. pretty normal life though.
tenko chabashira hey why don’t we ever talk about the fact that tenko is literally a vigilante? i think that’s a pretty relevant detail of her character that nobody talks about. she’s probably witnessed a bunch of violent crime, and from a very young age, too... i think tenko has probably gathered her fair share of scars, largely on her hands, but some on her shoulders, face, and legs. she’s tough though! she looks on her scars with pride, memories of the times she’s been able to keep girls safe.
kirumi toujou as a competent maid, occasions where kirumi actually gets injured in her work are pretty rare. she’s an overworker though, so i think she might’ve pushed herself far enough to cut herself a few times while cooking. on the more dangerous side of her work, i definitely think kirumi is the type of person to endanger herself in the name of her duty, so scars from various murder attempts-- knife, gun, whatever-- are definitely not out of the question. maybe even a knife wound on the back... but kirumi walked it off. she is a maid, after all.
maki harukawa the obvious answer here is that maki is scarred all over and honestly FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK drs for pretending like that’s not true. in her training to become an assassin maki was tortured repeatedly, using a variety of methods, in order to toughen her skin and make it so that she could withstand great pain. i have a hard time believing there is a lot of maki’s body that isn’t scarred. aside from the scars from her training, i’m sure maki has also collected a fair amount of scarring from missions and such. oh girl.

True Friends-Monodam x Reader
Completely platonic relationship Requested by Paigeloime on Wattpad
Trigger warning: Suicidal reader, angst
You were still in shock.
You still couldn't believe you were stuck in a...a 'killing game'. How could you accept such a fact? It was such a far fetched idea!
But regardless, here you were. And every day you were scared it would be your last. You stayed away from everyone, even the seemingly friendly Kaede, Kaito and Gonta. You couldn't be sure it wasn't just a cover to get close to you so they could kill you.
You couldn't trust anyone here, no matter how badly you wanted to.
Not to mention there were those annoying 'Monocubs' around that popped up randomly. They just made the situation even worse.
Well, the green one, Monodam, you think his name was, wasn't too bad. He was quieter than the others, and seemed to want peace, unlike his siblings who only wanted the killing game to continue.
Again, though, you couldn't be sure it wasn't a ruse. He was one of Monokuma's children, after all, and Monokuma wanted anything but peace.
Eventually you started to believe you were just being paranoid thanks to Kaede's constant optimistic attitude and her bringing everyone together under the shared goal of escaping.
Then she was found guilty for Rantaro's murder.
It seemed so unlikely. Kaede? Murder? You would think that the only way you could use those two words in the same sentence is if the words 'would never' between them. But here you were. Sure, she was trying to kill the mastermind to end the killing game, but still. That just strengthened your belief not to trust anyone.
From then on after that trial, you only left your room for food, and nothing else. You also tried to make sure only to go to the cafeteria when no one else was there, but you weren't always successful.
Kaito would attempt to talk to you, try to cheer you up and make you his 'sidekick', but you'd just cower away. Tenko would offer to protect you from the 'degenerate males', but you'd decline her offer and leave as quickly as possible. Kirumi would offer to make you something to eat, but you'd just grab something yourself and head back to your room.
Shuichi and Kaito still tried to include you in things. They'd knock on your door almost daily to ask you to join them in activities. Most of the time you'd stay quiet until they left. Eventually, even they stopped.
It's been a few days since then, and you were currently laying on your bed, staring at posters on the wall opposite side of your bed. They were of some movie you, as the Ultimate Actress, were in. You looked at yourself in those posters and thought back on the memories. You were happy then. You had no worries.
You let out a sigh as you picked at your skin anxiously. You hated being all alone. You preferred being around others. But you just couldn't risk it. You were too afraid that somebody would kill you.
"Rise and shine, Ursine!"
You jumped in surprise at the sound of the Monocubs' introduction words. Your head shot to the middle of the room, and there stood Monodam. You blinked, staring at him for a moment. "Um...h-hello?" You greeted him quietly.
"Why hello, bear." Monodam said to you. "I have noticed that you have not been interacting with your friends. Is there a problem?"
You continued to look at the small robotic bear as you slowly threw your feet over the side of the bed. "I...I don't have any friends here." You muttered.
"That is not true!" Monodam argued. "Everybody here is your friend!"
You shook your head. "I can't risk that belief." You told the Monocub quietly. "A potential friend is also a potential killer." You shook your head vigorously. "I'm way too scared to risk that."
Monodam let out a robotic hum, which you assumed was supposed to be equivalent to a 'hmm' sound. "What if I were to be your friend?" The green bear asked.
Your eyes widened. "I-I'm sorry?" You stammered. "You? My friend?"
The bear nodded. "Correct. That way you would not be frightened. I will make sure you are not harmed as we 'hang out'."
You stared at the bear for a long time, unsure how to process this information. Sure, the green Monocub was the one you would say you "trusted" the most, but that was a very loose "trust". You weren't sure if you trusted anyone. Although, Monodam did always seem to want everyone to get along, so...maybe this could be a good way to get out of your room for once?
You sighed and shrugged, standing on your feet. "Alright, fine." You agreed. "Are you sure you won't get in trouble with your dad or siblings for protecting me, though?"
Monodam shook his head. "If it is only for one day, everything should be fine." He hobbled towards the door, which you found kinda cute, causing you to cover your mouth to stifle a giggle. You walked over and opened the door for the small robot. He walked out, and you followed, closing the door behind you.
"So, where are we going?" You asked, looking down at your new 'friend'.
"That is up to you." Monodam answered. "We could head to the recreational room. Or the swimming pool opened up, as well as your research lab."
You stopped walking for a moment. "Wait, my research lab opened up?" You asked.
The robotic bear nodded. "Correct."
You nodded. "Then we're headed there." You told him. "Lead the way."
Monodam led you to a bright red door with a drawing of two stage lights crossing over one another. You placed your hand on the doorknob and turned it. As you opened it, your eyes widened as you took in your surroundings. At the back of the room was a stage, one that reminded you so much of your happiest memories. There were props and backdrops and cameras. It made you feel so...safe.
You walked slowly up to the stage, the soft metallic thumps behind you letting you know that Monodam was following you. You went to the side and walked up on the stage, turning and taking in your surroundings. You felt a smile start to form on your lips, for the first time in days.
"You seem much happier." Monodam pointed out in his usual robotic tone. You turned to look at him. The robotic bear was standing in front of a row of chairs that were placed in front of the stage.
You gave the small robot a genuine smile and nodded. "I am." You confirmed. "This is the first time I've felt this happy since getting here." As you continued to look around, a thought hit you, and you gasped, turning to look Monodam in the eyes. "Oh! Let me re-enact a scene from my favorite movie I've been in!" You offered. "It'll be a bit difficult without anyone reacting to my line but-"
"Oh, we have a solution for that!" Monodam interrupted. He hopped onto the stage and went into the wings. He soon pulled out a rack of grey mannequins. With a bit of struggling, the small robo-bear managed to pull one off, getting it to stand on it's feet. "You just need to enter it's settings, and it will be your acting partner!"
You felt your smile grow even wider. "This...this is amazing." You told the green bear. "Thank you so much." You flashed him a grin. "So with this I can re-enact the scene perfectly! Go wait in the seats! I'll be ready soon!" You rushed off behind stage, grabbing the rack and pulling them with you.
About half an hour later you were ready, and preformed your favorite scene from your favorite movie you had been in. The acting bots were almost exactly like your costars in the actual movie. You had such a fun time re-doing the scene that when you were finished with it, you were smiling like an idiot. You heard a slow, rhythmic clang, and you saw that Monodam was clapping. You giggled and bowed, the acting bots following suit before walking back to their rack and deactivating.
"So, how was it?" You asked the green Monocub. "And be honest."
"It was spectacular!" Monodam praised in his monotone voice. Despite that, you could still detect the excitement in it, which made you smile. "I would expect nothing less from the Ultimate Actress!"
You felt yourself blush from the praise. "That's really sweet, Monodam." You said, smiling. "And...thank you. For taking me here. I really needed this." You hopped down from the stage and walked over to him, leaning down and giving the small robo-bear and hug. Monodam didn't react for a moment, seemingly confused. Eventually he placed his arms around you. You pulled apart from him, still smiling. "I think I might try hanging around the others again." You informed him.
The green bear's head shot up. "You mean you are going to make friends?!" He exclaimed.
You covered your mouth and giggled. "We'll see, Monodam." You said, making your way to the exit. "I had a lot of fun. Maybe we can hang out again if your dad and siblings will let you." You smiled and waved goodbye to him as you made your way to the cafeteria.
It was around dinner time, so your appearance in the cafeteria surprised everyone. They all stared at you, which made you feel a bit uncomfortable, but you simple swallowed back the feeling and sat down at the table. You were nestled between Kaito and Shuichi, and were in front of Keebo and Kokichi. Eventually everyone looked away from you, and Kirumi made you a plate to eat. The four around you, however, began to bombard you with questions.
"Where have you been all this time, Y/N?" Keebo asked. "Have you been feeling ill?"
"Have you been plotting a muuuurder?!" Kokichi accused in a playful tone. At least you think it was playful. You never knew with him.
"How come you never answered Shuichi and me?" Kaito questioned, placing a hand on your shoulder. "We've been tryin' to ask you to be apart of our nightly training sessions! It's a great bonding exercise!"
"It...actually is." Shuichi agreed quietly.
You looked between the four of, giggling. "Well, in order." You began. "In my room being scared for my life, so no, not ill." You answered, pointing at Keebo. You turned to Kokichi and pointed to him. "No." You turned and pointed at Kaito "I was scared to trust anybody after the whole thing with Kaede. I needed space." Lastly you pointed to Shuichi. "I'd love to give it a shot now." You looked between the astronaut trainee and the detective. "If you'll still have me?"
Kaito beamed at threw his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into your side. You let out a startled yelp as you fell out of your seat. You laughed along with the others, and for the first time in a while, you felt happy. You felt like you had real friends.
For a while, you were really happy. You became pretty close friends with Kaito and Shuichi, and you and Monodam actually hung out quite often. The two of you of you visited your research lab many times, and you performed scenes and sometimes entire television episodes you were apart of. You actually considered the Monocub a good friend. Sure, he was one of the ones who brought you here, but you felt like he was different.
The green robo-bear seemed to actually care about you. You've been able to read between the lines whenever he spoke, so now you could mostly make out which emotions the bear was expressing. Because of this, you could tell that whenever he spoke to you, he seemed to actually care about you, and actually consider you a friend.
At the moment, you had just finished re-enacting an episode of a soap opera you had been in. You smiled and bowed as the acting bots returned to the rack as normal. Monodam clapped as normal. You hopped off the stage and sat beside him. "You know, I never thought I'd become friends with a Monocub." You admitted. "But you're really nice, Monodam."
"All I want is for everyone to be friends." The robot responded, looking up at you. "You are the first one to take me seriously."
"Well, I can understand why." You sighed. "You are one of the ones who brought us here, so trusting you might be a bit hard." You smiled softly at him and pat his head. "But I'm really grateful you came to me the other day. I'm not scared anymore. I mean, I'm still a bit paranoid that someone will kill again, but I've spent so much time with everyone, I'm starting to think that won't happen."
"That makes me happy to hear." Monodam gave you what you had come to understand to be a smile. "I hope that is the case. I just want everyone can be friends."
"That would be nice." You agreed, leaning back in the chair. "I really hope it can happen."
Of course, that was just wishful thinking.
The next day, Ryoma was found dead during Himiko's magic act, which you had only now heard about. You stared at the bones that were once the Ultimate Tennis Pro as the blood stained water pooled around everyone's feet.
And you passed out.
The rest of the students noticed as you fell to the ground. Kaito and Shuichi got to you first, Kaito frantically checking for a pulse. When he found one, he let out a relieved sigh. "She's alright. Just shocked, probably." He informed everyone. He turned his gaze to Gonta. "Hey, Gonta. Mind taking her to her room?"
The bug lover nodded, gently picking you up bridal style. "Of course! Gonta gentleman! Gonta make sure Y/N gets to her room safe!" He headed out of the gym and made his way to the dorms, where he entered your room, placed you on your bed, and quickly left, like a true gentleman.
You blinked open your eyes, finally coming too. As you opened them fully, you noticed a certain green robo-bear sitting at the foot of your bed. "M-Monodam?" You asked, rubbing your eyes.
The Monocub turned his head to look at you. "Rise and shine, Ursine." He greeted you, though his usual tone was more solemn than usual, even through his robotic voice. "I am happy to see you are alright. When you fainted I got concerned."
You frowned as you finally recalled what you had witnessed.
Ryoma Hoshi was dead.
You grabbed your arms and shivered. "Yeah, I...I'm fine." You muttered. "Just...I was starting to trust everyone, and suddenly someone gets killed again." You felt tears threaten to spill from your eyes. You sat up in your bed and hugged your knees. "Monodam...why did you bring us here?" You asked the Monocub quietly.
You didn't get an answer for a long time. "I...cannot tell you that, Y/N." Was his eventual reply.
You sighed in annoyance. "I figured you'd say that." You mumbled. "But...I thought since we'd gotten close..."
"We have become very close friends, indeed." Monodam let out a robotic sigh. "But I am forbidden from revealing that information. I am truly sorry."
You gripped your knees tighter as the tears began to fall slowly but surely. "I...I'd like to be alone, Monodam." You said quietly.
"Are you sure, Y/N?" The Monocub asked you, walking over to you and tilting his robotic head. "You seem to still be in shock. Perhaps having a friend would-"
"I said leave me alone!" You screamed, pushing Monodam away from you before burying your face in your knees.
Monodam stumbled back. When he caught his footing, he watched you for a few minutes as you sobbed softly. Eventually he let out a robotic sigh. "So long, bear well." He said sadly before disappearing.
When you heard the telltale sound of the Monocub's leaving, you glanced over to where Monodam had been. Seeing that he was gone, you grabbed your pillow and clutched it to your chest, sobbing louder, tears flowing freely now.
You had no one left. Sure, Monodam still seemed to be on your side...for the most part. But even he is putting this killing game before you. So maybe your friendship with you isn't as important as he had made it out to be.
And now another one of your 'friends' had killed someone. You really couldn't trust anyone. Could you?
You stayed in your room the whole time everyone else was investigating. The others occasionally came to check up on you, but you waved them off quickly, until you eventually told them all to just leave you alone.
You didn't want to go to another trial. You didn't want to watch another execution. You couldn't take it.
You slowly stood from your bed and made your way to your door. Slowly opening and peeking out it, you didn't see anybody, so you quickly left your room and began to make your way to you research lab. You managed to get there without being spotted. You closed the door behind you and quickly made your way to the backstage. Grabbing some rope you found in the prop section, you tied the rope into a noose and made your way to the catwalk and tied the end of the rope around the railing. You made your way back down and grabbed a step ladder, placing it under the noose.
You swallowed as you climbed up the ladder and placed the rope slowly around your neck. With shaking legs, you kicked the step ladder out from under you, and gasped as you felt the rope begin to suffocate you.
Your vision was starting to go black when your lab doors were suddenly kicked open. You heard running footsteps and shouting footsteps, but you couldn't make any of them out from the ringing in your ears. You noticed shapes run up to you, but they were only shadows. Then suddenly, you fell to the ground with a thud, and you sucked in a large gulp of air.
"...hell....here?!"
"Did someone...her?!"
"She's...alive, so if it was...murder they must still be here."
The voices were slowly becoming audible, and the shapes were coming together. You saw Kaito crouching above you, worried eyes looking at you as he kept turning to Kirumi to ask what to do. You coughed, which earned everybody's attention. Suddenly you saw not only Kaito and Kirumi in front of you, but also Shuichi, Maki, and Kokichi.
"Y/N!" Kaito said, relief in his voice. "What the hell happened to ya? Are you alright?!"
"Y/N, who did this to you?" Shuichi asked, the detective on the verge of panic.
"Did anyone do this to you?" Kokichi questioned, placing a finger to his chin. "Or was this your doing?"
"Why would she have tried to kill herself?" Maki snapped at Kokichi. "She has no reason."
The Ultimate Supreme Leader shrugged and continued to look at you. "It's just a thought."
You propped yourself up on your elbows and looked between them all, anger building up in you. "Why..." You muttered.
"'Why'?" Shuichi repeated. "'Why' what, Y/N?"
You clenched your fists. "Why...Why did you cut me down!?" You screamed, taking them all aback. "I want out of this place! I want out! Why do you keep me here?!"
Everyone looked surprised, except for Kokichi, who looked at the others smugly. "I told you."
Maki shot him a warning glare. "Do you wanna die?" She snapped. "This isn't the time for that."
"Why do you want to kill yourself, Y/N?" Shuichi asked softly, reaching a hand out to place on your shoulder.
You jerked away from him, and jumped to your feet as fast as you could. You backed away from the circle of people. "Don't touch me!" You hissed. "None of you actually care about me! One of you killed Ryoma, so why would I think you wouldn't kill me?!" You backed up as Kaito stood up from his crouching position, his face contorted in confusion. Shuichi continued to approach you slowly, his arm still outstretched to you.
"Y/N, calm down." He tried to soothe you. "No one here is going to hurt you."
You shook your head vigorously and continued to back up, making your way to your lab doors. "I can't believe that. I just...can't trust anyone." You muttered. You looked between Kaito, Kirumi, Maki, Kokichi and Shuichi before turning around and sprinting out of your research lab. You heard them shout your name, but you ignored them in favor of running back to your room.
When you got back in there you slammed the door and quickly locked it. You pressed your back against the door as you felt tears began to fall down your face, a familiar feeling to you by now. You slowly slid down to the floor, your knees pressed closely to your chest as you buried your face. You stayed that way for a long time, sobbing into your knees.
After a while, you felt something touching your leg. You slowly looked over, and saw Monodam. You glared at him and drew your leg in away from him. "Leave me alone." You muttered. "I don't want to talk."
"Why did you try to do that?" The Monocub asked you.
You sighed in annoyance. "I want to be free." You said quietly. "And that's the only way to do it."
Monodam tilted his head. "This is not the way to be free." He insisted.
You turned your head away from him. "Whatever. Like you'd understand anyway. " You murmured. "How did they even know what I was doing? I was so careful. It should have worked."
There was a long silence.
"I informed them of your situation."
Your head shot over to the green robo-bear. You stared at him before your eyes narrowed. You pulled yourself to your feet and walked closer to him. You glared down at him, your fists balled up tight. "...why?" You growled. "How could you?"
Monodam looked up at you. It was hard to make out emotion on his robotic features, but you swore you could see...sadness? But at the moment you were too angry to care. "You are my friend." The bear answered you, his monotone voice quiet. "Even though father and my siblings were angry at me for interfering, I could not let you die like this."
"You should have." You snapped. "I don't want to be here. And I'm not your friend." You walked around Monodam and sat on your bed, still glaring at the Monocub. "You bring me here against my will, then when I try to escape this hell you force me to stay? How could we be friends?"
The robot looked confused. "But I thought we had become good friends?" He said to you, his head tilted. "Is saving your life not what a good friend would do?"
You sighed in annoyance. He had a point, that is what a friend would do. But it isn't what you wanted him to do. "I just can't go through another class trial, Monodam." You muttered. "That's too much stress."
"You are strong, Y/N." The Monocub assured you. "You just need to believe in yourself and your friends." Monodam hopped up onto your bed beside you and placed his small robotic paw onto your leg. "And despite what you say, I am your friend."
You felt a smile form on your face despite yourself. You looked down to the green robo-bear and pet his head. "Yeah, fine." You relented. "...Thanks for saving me, Monodam."
The green bear nodded and turned to look up at you, the widest smile you've seen him produce yet on his face. "Anything for my best friend."

Can I have the V3 boys with their crush or s/o being all romantic and serenading them outside their dorm room or Research Lab (or any room they might be in) with a love song?
Aaaaa that is so cute it makes me go UwU
Tumblr media
V3 boys with their S/O serenading them outside their dorm/Research Lab with a love song
Ryoma Hoshi
Ryoma was in his research lab not doing anything actually since he didn't wanted to play... OK maybe he wanted to but he won't.
Now it doesn't matter since he heard some music from outside. At first he just ignored that until he heard what lyrics were about...
So Ryoma went outside his lab and noticed you. Your voice was amazing...
He gave you thumbs up "Nice song S/O" to be honest he had no idea what he could say so that was what he could come up with.
Not only that Ryoma wasn't sure why you started playing love song out of nowhere. Sure he found it romantic but it was kinda akward for him.
Gonta Gokuhara
Gonta was in his dorm as he tried to find something he had lost. And unfortunately for him it were his glasses.
But when he heard your voice outside he had to go outside since he couldn't ignore you. And your voice was incredible!
The song you were singing was very sweet and after you were done he praised you telling you lots of complements.
That's when you noticed that he didn't had his glasses- so you asked if he needed help finding them and he gladly took your offer.
K1B0
Keebo was in his dorm and he tried to come up with something to show you how much he loves and appreciates you!
But he got distracted when he heard you singing. So he went outside and was flustered that you were singing such a beautiful song for him.
After that he had more trouble figuring out what to do...
Kaito Momota
Kaito didn't do anything important but he mainly thought about you. So it was important to him!
So when he heard your voice he went out of his room. To his surprise you were in front of it even though it makes sense.
He was listening to it but he didn't pay much attention to the lyrics he just thought how amazing you sounded.
When you were done you two hung out and he was saying how much he loved your performance.
Shuichi Saihara
When you were getting ready to sing for him he was in his dorm. He didn't do anything in particular mostly just trying to get his mind off this whole killing game bullshit.
At first he wanted to hang out with you but he saw that you had something else to do so he didn't do anything to stop you since why whould he.
To his surprise he heard you outside... Singing? He headed outside and saw you in front of his dorm. Shuichi couldn't help but blush as he found your gesture very sweet.
Thanks to that Shuichi was able to forget even for a moment about nightmare you all are dealing with right now.
Rantaro Amami
He was thinking about the perk he got. Sitting in his room he tried to figure out how to use it against mastermind.
It started to make him feel bad about everything. But he was determined to do something for your sake.
However he got a small unexpected break when he heard your singing voice outside. So he followed it and he was really impressed. He also felt like he had fallen for you second time.
Kokichi Ouma
He wasn't doing anything too important in his room to talk about and if I tell you the things will just get boring if you knew everything Kokichi was up to!
But whatever it was he stopped immediately as he heard your voice. He got outside and saw you.
He didn't say anything as he let you finish but he was smiling entire time. It was very sweet gesture and he didn't thought you'd do something like that.
Korekiyo Shinguji
He was investigating his lab. Since he was spending a lot of time there you also had time to get ready to sing for him.
But he wasn't coming out anytime soon but hey the effect will just be better!
You started singing loud enough for him to notice and when he did he felt his heart warm up. After you finished the two of you had a conversation where he told you how he appreciated your gesture. It was just beautiful way to show your feelings for him.

Rose Thorns Chapter Two: Hanahaki
Kokichi moped around his room for a while, working on his plans, feeling miserable, and coughing up more rose petals’ every so often. Cough syrup did not help, he’d taken a several more doses, giving up after he’d almost downed a whole bottle and his cough had only worsened. Which had the side affect of making him feel loopy… he hated it.
He only left at midday to seek food and return the bowl Shuichi had brought him to the kitchen. Thankfully he managed not to get spotted by anyone, the last thing he needed was any one of them seeing him coughing up ‘rose petals’ and high on cough syrup.
After finishing his stolen lunch, he lay down for a nap. Right before he drifted off though, the door bell rung again, pulling him back from the brink of sleep. He ignored it until the bell rang again.
He groaned as he flopped back out of bed. He should’ve given up on the cough syrup much sooner, he was paying for not doing so. “What?” he asked as he opened the door.
It was Shuichi. Not surprising, he was the only person who ever visited Kokichi’s room. “Hey uh… I just came by to see if you were feeling any better.”
“I’m fine.” A boring lie, probably the most common lie ever told, Kokichi could do much better than that. If he could just… think right.
“You… don’t look fine.”
“Well, I am.” Kokichi put on a cheery face as he stepped all the way out of his room, pulling the door closed behind him. “I’d invite you in for a chat but as the Supreme Leader of an evil organization I naturally have a lot…”
“A lot of stuff in your room that would be dangerous for me to see or know about, right?” Shuichi interrupted. “By which you mean, your room’s a mess and you don’t want anyone to see it, right?”
“Oh uh… you know me so well. Is it true what they say? That a detective can look at someone and know their entire backstory?”
“Uh… well no, not really. I was just… kind of guessing.” Shuichi looked embarrassed; he was being shy, how cute.
“Oh, trying to catch me off guard, huh? Clever. That’s…” Kokichi cut off into a coughing fit. Another ‘petal’ came with it, thankfully only one, easy to hide in the handkerchief.
“You okay? Need me to get you anything?” Shuichi asked awkwardly once it had passed.
“Uh… no, I’m fine, totally healthy, not dying from a rare deathly illness at all.” Kokichi giggled at the worried look on that came over Shuichi’s face as he’d talked.
“You’re just saying that because you’re trying to get me with some sort of reverse psychology trick… right?”
“Maybe, who knows?” Kokichi didn’t even know. Was this disease he’d contracted fatal? If so, how fast did it kill? What was the survival rate? … All things he both wanted to know and didn’t want to know at the same time.
“Well… if you’re sure you don’t need anything… I guess I’ll let you get back to resting or doing whatever it was you were doing.”
“Yep, see you around… unless you know, one of us dies before then. It’s been a while since the last murder, it’s about time for another corpse to turn up, don’t you think?”
The worry on Shuichi’s face vanished, replaced with a general grimace. “Don’t say things like that.”
Kokichi didn’t respond, just flashed one last evil smile at Shuichi before ducking back into his room.
After pausing to cough up a couple more rose petals, he collapsed back onto his bed. His chest felt constricted and tight as well as painful but probably thanks to bottle of cough syrup he’d drank he managed to fall asleep fairly quickly anyway.
---
“Hanahaki Disease huh?” That was the only illness whose description he’d found that matched his symptoms except for one thing. “I don’t love anyone though.” Falling in love with someone was out of the question in the middle of this wretched killing game.
But he’d gone through the entire book he’d found on rare illnesses and diseases in the library and that was the only illness that fit his symptoms. Who had he fallen for though? …
Shuichi. It always seemed to get worse when Shuichi showed up, even just thinking about him made Kokichi’s chest hurt a little more. Really, there was no one else it could be. ‘Love’ wasn’t the word he would’ve used though; he wasn’t even one hundred percent sure Shuichi was completely trustworthy. Apparently the rose in his chest thought it was the right word though so… maybe it was?
Regardless, said rose would supposedly kill him if Shuichi didn’t fully reciprocate those feelings, whatever they might be. Did Shuichi return those feelings? It was hard to say. Kokichi didn’t know, which was the crux of the problem, wasn’t it?
This was not the time nor place to pursue romantic interests though. There couldn’t be a worse environment to do such things. He couldn’t have been any more unfortunate.
With a groan, he stood and dogeared the page before closing it. Putting the book under his arm, he exited the library, heading for his room. He would’ve jogged or at least fast walked there but he was already having trouble breathing, exerting himself would make it worse.
Thankfully he made it to his room without dying or running into anyone. He collapsed onto his bed for another fitful nap that was bound to be interrupted by more painful coughing fits. Inevitably the morning announcement woke him some hours later. As much as he didn’t want to get up he couldn’t avoid the group for much longer. He had to go to the dining hall.
Unsurprisingly, he was the last one to show up, everyone else was already seated and eating. That was fine though.
“Look who finally decided to show his face again,” Kaito said as he walked in.
“What have you been up to rat?” Miu added.
Kokichi opened his mouth to respond but Shuichi cut him off. “You feeling any better?” His attempt at waylaying an argument was admirable if a bit awkward, Kokichi would let him get away with it this time.
“I’m feeling fantastic.” He put as much energy into his voice as he could. “Thanks for asking.”
“You don’t look like you feel fantastic,” Himiko said.
“Yeah, Kokichi look like he have bags under eyes, like he get no sleep last night,” Gonta added.
“Gee thanks guys, I really appreciate that.” It was harder to sleep when one couldn’t breathe well and had to cough up rose petals every few hours. So much so that he’d eventually abandoned it and gone to the library to research what was wrong with him. On top of his chest hurting like hell all the time now and the resulting hangover from yesterday’s adventure with cough syrup, no shit he didn’t look fantastic. He felt worse than he looked too no doubt, he hated it.
“You also look like you haven’t showered,” Maki added in a monotone.
Kokichi frowned at her but wasn’t in the mood to pursue any arguments right now. So he just got himself some breakfast and sat at the table as far away from everyone else as he could get.
The conversation drifted back to whatever it had been before. Kokichi didn’t bother to listen it to or try to participate. Instead he focused on eating, breathing, and not coughing.
What would the others even say if they saw him coughing up rose petals? Would any of them know what it meant? … Possible but unlikely. He needed to decide what he was going to do about it though. Or just hope it got better on its own. How likely was that though?
 -
Unsurprisingly, it got worse. After a too short, too light nap and a shower he didn’t feel much better. It was a rose growing inside him and roses had thorns so naturally pain was a constant thing. Breathing made it worse, coughing made it feel like he was dying.
Feeling too miserable to do much else he sat around in his room amongst all his collected treasures and doodled. The wax figure of Rantaro had been the hardest thing to smuggle in, therefore it was also his proudest possession… in this room. He had other stuff much better in his room back home… that he would probably never see again.
His eyes filled with tears, blurring the image he’d been doodling on the page in front of him. He missed home and everyone who came with it. With a sigh he placed the drawing aside and pulled his knees up to his chest. No one else was around so he could cry for a little bit at least.
 -
The doorbell rang, jarring him from a light doze. It could only be Shuichi, right? No one else ever visited, not even Gonta. So, Kokichi should get up and answer the door, tell Shuichi how he felt, see if he reciprocated, if he did that’d be the cure. But if he didn’t what would Kokichi do?
So he ignored it. Even when it came again and again before… “You in there Kokichi?” accompanied by a knock. Yep, it was Shuichi.
Kokichi flinched as a fresh spasm of pain ran through his chest. He bit his tongue so he wouldn’t cough and thus give himself away. Seeing Shuichi would only make it worse so opening the door was not a good idea.
So he sat there until a good solid five minutes of silence indicated that Shuichi had for sure given up and left. He collapsed into a coughing fit that had him desperately and painfully gasping for air by the end of it and spitting out yet more blood covered rose petals. Things couldn’t get much worse, could they?

I'm not sure if you already got this ask from me or not But I was wondering what you thought of tenko and what her relationships with other characters was like, not just himiko. I still love ten I ko just was just wondering on her other relationships cause those are never talked about.
I think Tumblr probably ate the other ask because I couldn’tfind it in my inbox! But I’m always happy to answer this kind of question.
Tenko is wonderful and I really, honestly adore her. Idefinitely agree that although her relationship with Himiko is very central tothe plot and to her character, it’s a shame that it’s kind of the only thingthat gets touched on when talking about her. She’s such a team player and suchan essential protector figure to the whole group that I really don’t think theother characters would have been the same without her. Even after her death, sheleaves an influence on not only Himiko but the others as well, and it’s reallynice to see.
The instinct to sort out her relationships is, of course, tosort them between guys and girls. It’s certainly true of course that Tenko iswary of the guys around her. She considers them the less trustworthy part ofthe group, the people most likely to provide a threat—and to some degree, she’snot wrong, considering the aspects of “masculine” or “male” behavior that shedislikes the most are often aggressiveness, hostility, anger, etc. Ouma andMomota both often get a big seal of disapproval from her, because between Ouma’smanipulative behavior and Momota’s reckless tendency to rely on violence, sheclearly views them as bad influences at times.
She much prefers the company of the other girls, preferringto give them the benefit of the doubt and also trusting most of them enough, especiallyearly on in her first FTEs with Kaede, that she goes so far as to think thekilling game itself wouldn’t provide a threat at all if there were only girlsat Saishuu Academy. Tenko is so much more comfortable around other girls thanaround guys that she very much believes Neo Aikido is a necessary form ofself-defense which can help provide that sort of safe space which she’sinterested in. And of course, she’s the self-sacrificing type, so she constantlyoffers to protect or stand in for the other girls as much as possible.
Still though, this is all mostly from a surface level. Tenkois undeniably wary of and uncomfortable about men with good reason, but she’shardly mean or dismissive of any of them. Her relationship with Saihara isexcellent proof of that. In Chapter 2 when Saihara first begins trying totackle his hesitancy and anxiety about exposing the truth, he puts aside hishat and comes down to meet everyone at the cafeteria. Tenko is one of thenicest and most supportive members of the group of his decision, and from thispoint on she has quite a few really genuinely nice interactions with him.
Having looked up to and admired Kaede herself, she’sextremely understanding of why Saihara liked her so much and why he misses her.Kaede’s absence is felt strongly by the whole group following Chapter 1, but Ithink it’s felt perhaps the most strongly by figures who admired her drive toend the killing game and her urge to protect everyone. Tenko certainly fits thebill for this: regardless of her distrust for the guys in their group, it’s anundeniable fact that she wants to protect each and every single one of themfrom actual harm.
She’s still wary of Saihara and even of the other lessaggressive or hostile boys in the group, of course, but it’s always to thepoint of confirming that she and the other girls are safe, that there’s no onewho would harass them or peek in on them or do anything obscene oruntrustworthy. When it comes to their actual feelings or troubles, she’s alwaysfairly understanding and generous with her time.
In Chapter 3 when her SHSL research lab opens up, sheactually wants to help both Himiko andSaihara confront their personal weaknesses. With Himiko, her biggest flaw isher laziness, but with Saihara, she wants him to tackle his insecurity, and she(hilariously) uses her aikido throws in order to help set them on this path. This “training” to confront one’s own weak points is something that sticksaround even after her death, as Himiko, Gonta, and Saihara in Chapter 4 verymuch honor Tenko’s memory by continuing to practice in her research lab inorder to get stronger.
Tenko is certainly someone who values the lives of the grouparound her, despite the misconception the fandom had at first that she would besomeone extremely cruel or uncaring to the boys. But I think it’s prettyevident from her horrified reactions to Amami and Ryouma’s deaths that she undeniablycared quite a lot about keeping everyone safe.
Death, pain, and suffering were things she was extremelyaverse to no matter who they were affecting—which would sound like an obviouscomment that could apply to anyone, except there’s so much in ndrv3 about manyof the characters not valuing human lives the way they should unless itbenefits them. The fact that Tenko was so open and honest and wore her feelingsabout these kinds of things on her sleeve is actually quite refreshing incomparison to how many characters claim to be open and honest but actually hadquite a few secrets they were hiding or things they were lying to themselves orthe rest of the group about.
Also, just as Tenko’s interactions with characters likeSaihara and even Kiibo are interesting, because she clearly views them aspotential friends and acquaintances despite not letting her guard downentirely, her interactions with Angie are extremely interesting from the girls’side of things. Tenko begins the game with an inclination to believe the bestof all her fellow girls, but I think her conflict with Angie did open her eyesin a lot of ways.
She still clearly cares about Angie as an individual anddoesn’t believe the worst of her even when it becomes clear that Angie is goingon a pretty strong power trip in Chapter 3. Angie’s death upsets her just asany of the other deaths do, and even in the midst of the whole ReligiousStudent Council conflict, Tenko recognizes that Angie’s not doing bad thingsintentionally per se—she’s actually quite frightening because she’s a genuine, true believer in her religion and her fanaticism is extremely risky in the effectsit might have on Himiko or the other student council members.
But seeing Angie’s willingness to throw other people (namelyHimiko) under the bus firsthand in Chapter 2 was quite a shock for someone likeTenko, who’s so loyal to the core and would never do anything of the sort. After having envied Angie’s ability to become friends with Himiko so easily, the idea that Angie would just toss aside that friendship in order to saveherself and act as though it played no part in the trial or meant nothing toher was something that went against her entire core beliefs.
Like Momota, Kaede, and Gonta, Tenko is someone who admiresbelief in other people above all else. Even when things get hard, even when allthe evidence says otherwise, she’s very much the kind of person who wants tobelieve in the people she admires, trusts, and respects no matter what happens. And unlike those three, Tenko is particularly interesting because to somedegree, she actually does recognize that blind faith isn’t necessarily alwaysthe best course of action. It’s not a smart decision or a very practical one.
But still, she wants to believe according to what she wants. To a slight extent, she doesdo the “doubting others in order to get to know them first”—because she can acknowledgethat trusting wholeheartedly isn’t perhaps the smartest choice of action but it’sstill something she consciously made the decision to do.
Angie’s self-serving nature and tendency to jump ship assoon as the situation isn’t serving her purposes was something Tenko really didnot like, and it showed. She joined Angie’s student council in Chapter 3 onlyto keep an eye on Himiko and make sure that a similar situation to Chapter 2couldn’t happen again, but the two of them continued to butt heads quite a lot.Angie’s decision to “resurrect” Amami as per the motive the Monokumerz gavethem, her refusal to listen to any arguments against this, and the fact thatshe just put herself in charge without really needing or requiring anyone else’sapproval meant that Tenko argued with her quite a lot—something that I thinkactually bothered Himiko a lot more than it bothered Angie.
To summarize, Tenko’s relationships with the group oftencenter around her trying to put herself as a sort of protector figure. Many ofthem are interesting because for the most part, she is someone who is willingto reevaluate her opinion of people if proof of their trustworthiness (oruntrustworthiness) presents itself. And in spite of her seemingly extreme orexaggerated reactions, she’s actually incredibly fair and objective when pushgets to shove.
Her wariness of the boys in the group is extremelyunderstandable given her aversion to any physical contact with men and the factthat she’s so fixated on self-defense—and her blind trust in many of the girlsin her group is actually addressed with characters like Angie, where even Tenkocan’t help but revise her opinion when she feels that Angie is clearly justusing Himiko for her own purposes.
I love Tenko a lot, so thank you so much for asking me abouther! She’s great and I’m still so glad that she’s been much better received bythe fandom ever since the game launched. I still wish she hadn’t died at all,but I’m glad that at least her death had a very real and lasting impact onHimiko and even the other characters throughout the rest of the game. Again, thank you for asking!
