SEWATCH (95th Class) – 2016 Archives

From 2010, Takarazuka GRAPH has a corner for introducing classmates (douki) in our colour pages. 95th class is the 6th edition and we now disclose excerpts of writer Seo Yuria (Seocchi) and her classmates.

JANUARY – Seo Yuria X Manaki Reika

To celebrate our first issue, the guest is...Manaki Reika of Moon Troupe ☽ It's Chapi~♡ Ah, she's an angel ♡ She's full of clarity....Let'Sewatch the mystery of this angel descending to earth!!!!

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: Everyone already knows about the beauty and cuteness of Chapi, so I thought what if we showed a different side of Chapi~

Chapi: No, not at all. But because it's the New Year issue, aren't we wearing these for the New Year?

Seocchi: We thought, "Year of the...Monkey, right? OH!" (LOL) What do you think about becoming a monkey (LOL)?

Chapi: Since I was born, I've been told that I look like a monkey, so it's an honour to be a monkey [for this corner].

Both: (exploding in laughter).

Chapi: My mother used to say, "I thought I gave birth to a monkey" (LOL).

Seocchi: Well, you could say you returned to your roots. What a new feeling (LOL).

Chapi: Yes, that's right. My ears are also "far away from each other" (and while saying that, Chapi flapped her hands beside her ears).

Seocchi: That's cute (LOL).

FEBRUARY – Seo Yuria X Rei Makoto

The guest for this month is the Super Boy, our Rei Makoto of Star Troupe ☆ It's Coto-chan~ (Coto)☆

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: I thought would it be possible to show a side of Co-chan that everyone hasn't seen before~ and the result of constant frustration and thinking, I've decided that we should wear the Takarazuka Music School uniforms!!

Coto: First, I need to find my uniform~

Seocchi: Yeah (LOL). How do you feel? Actually.

Coto: No I mean, it's nostalgic.

Seocchi: I remembered that the two of us used to sit side by side whle having lessons.

Coto: That's when both of us were fighting the urge to sleep away.

Seocchi: A time that we were scolded almost every day, but the days where we were very determined.

MARCH – Seo Yuria X Reimi Urara

Now, the guest this time is Reimi Urara-sama of Cosmos Troupe, it's Yuuri!! Let'Sewatch at the mystery of this flawless beautiful girl!!!

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: While both of us are thinking a lot about what to do, we heard Zun-chan (Sakuragi Minato) having her interview nearby on "What is your dream if you didn't enter Takarazuka!?".

Urara: We heard her answer, "I'm not sure if this is what I really want to do, but maybe the admirable flight attendants?"...

Seocchi: That's why everyone can see this wonderful Reimi Urara-sama!! (Thanks Zun-chan~♡)

Urara: I hope we can show that relationship between the pilot and the flight attendant (LOL).

Seocchi: There's some story between us... (LOL)

Urara: (LOL). That's fun!

APRIL – Seo Yuria X Tsukishiro Kanato

The guest this month is – remarkable! Tsukishiro Kanato of Snow Troupe!! It's Usshi (Reiko)✨ Wow~ So pretty...She's already beautiful, so let'Sewatch if we could show a mysteriously different look of Tsukishiro Kanato-sama.

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: After much thinking...

Reiko: We revived as the anime of "Shonen Ashibe"!! Well, I like Goma-chan. No, not just that, I like seals (LOL).

Seocchi: That's why, Usshi wore a seal costume and searched for various pictures, and found this really cute seal costume, and asked me "how do you think"?

Reiko: No, it's because I said, I want to be a more real seal!!

Seocchi: She seriously ordered this full costume (LOL). How do you feel wearing it?

Reiko: When I actually wear the costume, I can feel it looks fluffier than how Goma-chan was like, (LOL), but I'm really satisfied!!

Seocchi: That's great~ It's a great success that it made Usshi satisfied!

MAY – Seo Yuria X Minami Maito

The fifth guest is Flower Trouope otokoyaku Minami Maito (Maiti) ❀ I wanto see~!! Let'Sewatch the stunning muscles of this girl!!!

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: If we talk about Minami, it's muscles!! That's why I immediately think of the muscleman Superman, and we had a meeting over this photoshoot [concept] (LOL).

Maiti: What!? Is my image really like that? I thought (LOL).

Seocchi: No, when we first met, you were skinny!! Then after the summer of being a primary course student (yokasei), I was so shocked (LOL).

Maiti: Right, right, when I came back my uniform seems stiff [from the muscles] (LOL).

Seocchi: I thought, what did Minami do in the summer!!!!! I remember everyone being crazy over it (LOL). That image is too strong, you definitely need to be Superman this time!

Maiti: But, this costume seems too buff (LOL). This is too exaggerated!! Look at the texture of these muscles (LOL)!!!!

Seocchi: How do you feel actually wearing it?

Maiti: No, but it seems easy to turn on the switch to get into character with this kind of costume (LOL).

Seocchi: (LOL). That's great!!

Maiti: Like that "I'm a hero!" kind of vibe. (LOL)

Seocchi: If you feel good about it, you should wear this under your rehearsal clothes next time, and when something happens, you can remove those clothes to reveal yourself as Superman!! Then it would be great!! (LOL)

Maiti: I got it!! If that's necessary, I'll give Seocchi (Seo) a call! Believe in me!!

Both: (exploding in laughter).

JUNE – Seo Yuria X Misaki Rion

This month we have our princess from Cosmos Troupe 💕 Let'Sewatch at Misaki Rion (Mirion)~ 👀

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: We decided easily this time.

Mirion: Yes, yes, I asked Seocchi "Can I be a nurse?"

Seocchi: Surely, I also wish to see how Kumi-chan (Misaki) is as a nurse (LOL).

Mirion: Since I was young', I've admired nurse so I thought, "Nurses are good!!" and decided on the theme quickly.

Seocchi: How does it feel? To be a nurse.

Mirion: I'm very satisfied because it feels my wish is fulfilled! Holding onto the syringe, I felt it was fun to feel how it is for a nurse (LOL). (I also enjoyed seeing Kumi-chan's look as a nurse!!)

Seocchi: I'm also excited because I want to play as a doctor!!!!

Mirion: You seem to really like the stethoscope (LOL).

Seocchi: Yes (LOL). This feels like "The Dangerous Love of the Doctor and the Nurse" (LOL). I hope everyone could feel happy seeing this photo and imagining various situations!

JULY – Seo Yuria X Kizuki Yuuma

This month, let'Sewatch at the mysterious Mayupon, or Kizuki Yuuma of Moon Troupe, who is so inclusive and gentle towards others~✨

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: This time, I hope it'd be great to do a concept of boys' friendship that I could do only with Myaupon.

Mayupon: Right!! We talked about, let's make this look manly as possible!

Seocchi: So, we told the edtors we wanted to do something like [the movie] "Umizaru", and we didn't think we'd have these costumes handmade!!

Both: Thank you so much!!!!!!

Seocchi: How does it feel wearing these?

Mayupon: Yes, this is so fun ♪ Of course, we wear various kinds of costumes on stage, but this feels totally different!!!

Seocchi: That's right. This feel like "Real Men's" kind of feeling (LOL)! And with that, we'd be happy if this lets everyone realise Mayupon's new charms!!

AUGUST – Seo Yuria X Hinami Fuu

This month, we have our princess from Star Troupe✨✨✨ Let'Sewatch the mysterious Fuu-chan, or Hinami Fuu!

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: We always talk about tropical countries ☼✨

Fuu-chan: Right! We never knew we would love tropical countries so much ✨

Seocchi: If there's a chance, I always thought I should go to the Sebu in Philippines with Fuu-chan and Matsuko (Renju Kouki) ☼

Fuu-chan: Right!!! My first overseas vacation was at Sebu, and it was really exciting✨✨✨

Seocchi: Every day would be so fun✨ So we decided to wear something we would in these tropical countries! How does the photoshoot feel for Fuu-chan?

Fuu-chan: Well, fun✨ Wearing the aloha shirts, holding on to the ukuleles immediately!!!

Seocchi: Yes✨✨ It's as if we could see the sun in front of us ☼

SEPTEMBER – Seo Yuria X Sakuragi Minato

This month, let'Sewatch the mysterious Zun-chan, or Sakuragi Minato of Cosmos Troupe, who always flashes the wonderful child smile ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Zun: About sommelier, it's just a Style we simply want to do!!!

Seocchi: No, no matter how we say it, this look great.

Zun: Yes (LOL). It's just black, so it may look plain~ Which is why we also used wine bottles and glasses.

Seocchi: I think this makes it look really stylish!!

Zun: I hope to wear this costume one day on stage.

Seocchi: It was fun to feel like a sommelier even for a short while~♫

OCTOBER – Seo Yuria X Asami Jun

This month, let'Sewatch the mysterious Asami Jun of Moon Troupe or Aasa✨✨ Truly from her name, she is beautiful from the morning~ (*Asa 朝 = morning; Mi 美 = beauty)

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: I asked you, what do we want to do?

Aasa: We thought about our similarities...

Both: We have a strong visual!!!!

Aasa: Then, we decided on doing [the manga series] "Thermae Romae" and on the day when we wore the costumes, and tried the first photo, and we chekced to find out??????????????

Both: We have a weak visual!!!! (LOL)

Aasa: This is an emergency situation 💦 She quickly came to the dressing room of Moon Troupe since we were performing (LOL).

Seocchi: Yes, I went to Aasa's makeup table and both of us desperately wanted to make up for it.

Aasa: We started putting more makeup! (LOL)

Seocchi: How did you feel wearing this?

Aasa: It feels comfortable and it makes me feel really good! As if, this was how I would be like in my past life (LOL).

Seocchi: You're not wrong! Have you worn this type of costume on stage before?

Aasa: Nope, this is my first time! Also it was fun to use different small props for the photoshoot✨

NOVEMBER – Seo Yuria X Hoshino Anri

This month let'Sewatch the mysterious Hoshino Anri of Snow Troupe, or Hiroko ❅

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: This time, both of us thought over quite a lot. Then Hiroko suggested, "Should we do baseball [concept]?"

Hiroko: Yes! If you turn on the television, you can see the rankings of Se Ring or Pa Ring, [Hiroshima Toyo] Carp and [Fukuoka] Softbank [Hawks] would be the top positions respectively, and they are baseball leagues of our hometown, so we wore their jerseys✨

Seocchi: Well, I believe when this [October] issue, Carp would definitely win by then!

Hiroko: Softbank too! Because they are so powerful!! If Carp wins, wouldn't that be since then 25 years since their last win?

Seocchi: Amazing! Hiroko knows so much! (LOL) When both teams win, let's celebrate together!

Both: Let's do this!!!

Seocchi: How does it feel wearing this uniform?

Hiroko: No, before wearing it I was already thrilled. I was even more excited to wear it! I was jumping around just thinking of it before Seocchi came! (LOL)

Seocchi: Ahaha (LOL). So cute.... 💦but I missed your moment💦

Hiroko: (LOL)

Seocchi: As expected, won't seeing these uniforms make your heart race? Because we've always seen these uniforms!!

Hiroko: Yes! We saw them before, and now we're wearing them ✨

Seocchi: The photoshoot was fun. But for our hats....

Hiroko: Instead of holding onto them, we were holding on the baseball bats instead (LOL).

Seocchi: Because we felt it would be awkward with our hands empty.

Hiroko: We're not used to that (LOL).

DECEMBER – Seo Yuria X Yuzuka Rei

This month we have Yuzuka Rei of Flower Troupe to grace the last edition✨ Let'Sewatch the mysterious Rei-chan 👀✨

~About the theme of our cosplay~

Seocchi: The costumes for today are really surreal! (LOL)

Rei: Really! When I wore it, this was more surreal than I imagined (LOL). It's Christmas when we talk about December, which is why we dressed up like that.

Seocchi: Right! I was thinking if I should do Santa or the reindeer, but she said, "But Santa Claus won't look as funny, right?" (LOL) As expected✨

Rei: (LOL). So we featured supporting characters! But I was surprised because I was surprised because I couldn't do many poses with these costumes (LOL).

Seocchi: Right! That's something we missed out💦 Because [trees and snowman] give off inanimate vibes (Iaughs).

Rei: Even if we act a lot into it, our faces...

Seocchi: Becomes emotionless (LOL).

Rei: It's rare that it was difficult to smile [in this costume] (LOL). Which by the way, I read this corner every month! But I thought, "She doesn't call me a lot....will this end without me...." (LOL).

Seocchi: Really.... (erupts into laughter). So you felt anxious over it, I'm sorry!

Rei: Nah, but this was great fun–♪

Buffet Town in Greenhills Offers Unique Buffet Dining Experience

There are so many all-you-can-eat restaurants around the city, but I just discovered this new buffet restaurant in Greenhills that offers a unique buffet concept combining beautiful aesthetics, sustainable dining, and an unlimited selection of Japanese and Asian favorites all in one charming venue.

Buffet Town is the newest buffet restaurant that foodies are now talking about. It recently held its soft opening last January 28, 2024 and can be found along Annapolis Street in San Juan, right where UNO Seafood used to be. The Hungry Kat was invited to visit Buffet Town last week and the first thing we were amazed with was the free Valet Parking that was available for guests. This is a very welcome bonus especially inside the very busy Greenhills shopping area.

The restaurant comes with a Japanese-insipred setting and offers a cozy and relaxing dining ambiance for families and friends. It has a very spacious dining area that also has several semi-private rooms for bigger groups. I love the colorful Japanese murals and designs you can find all around the venue.

We were hosted by Michelle Chan, one of the owners of Buffet Town who also happens to be a classmate of my husband, Dexter. Michelle is also the owner of 8 Spoons, a catering business that is a favorite among the local community, and they decided to expand further with their first new restaurant venture.

So what makes Buffet Town different from the rest? Unlike other restaurants which bombard you with long lines and a pile full of dishes on your plate, Buffet Town lets diners experience more by offering small individual potions served on cute plates. Each station comes with its own specialty dishes and you can simply get the ones that you want to try.

Let’s start at the Appetizers station where a variety of Korean and Asian appetizers await like the Kimchi, fish cake, spicy Korean chicken, tangsuyuk, and assorted banchan.

There’s also a Salad Station where you can find specially-prepared salads and greens displayed on the table. Other items include ohitashi okura, kabocha goma, and the popular Nasu Miso which is a baked eggplant with cheese on top.

For those who love sushi, Buffet Town has a Sushi Oasis where you can pick your choice of sushi, rolls, and maki topped and filled with all kinds of ingredients. Items are always replenished quickly at Buffet Town so you don’t have to line up and wait for your servings.

There’s plenty of salmon and tuna sashimi as well, including some spicy tuna and spicy salmon mixed with tempura flakes. If some of the portions seem too small for you, don’t worry because you can always ask the chefs to prepare your own personalized serving with the quantity and size that you prefer.

My favorite here was The BT Aburi station where you can ask for a serving of their aburi dish for the day and see it prepared and blow torched at their live cooking station.

I ordered the Salmon Aburi which was so good especially with its torched cheese melting into the fresh salmon slices. They also had the Beef and Mushroom Aburi which is an item you don’t often expect to see in buffets but rather in high-end Japanese restaurants.

The Tempura is always a must-have so you can still get a many pieces as you want. There are also a lot of other fried Japanese items like tonkatsu, fried ika, tori karaage, kakiage, and tofu furai. Offering these dishes is smaller portions also helps in lessening food wastage as diners don’t get overwhelmed when they suddenly get more than they can handle. This promotes food sustainability and helps the industry and the environment as well.

The Teppanyaki Station is also a popular destination with several dishes to choose from. These can be ordered from the server and they will prepare your dish and deliver it to your table fresh and hot off the grill.

Here are just some of the items you can find at the teppanyaki station. The Beef and Shrimp Roll Teppan comes in a beautiful plate combining meat and seafood. There’s also the Yasai Itame with its combination of healthy veggies.

The Mix Seafood Teppan is also a great dish combining tuna, shrimp, and squid with vegetables all in one plate.

There’s also a Yakitori Station and you can have chicken, beef, king oyster mushroom, or shrimp skewers cooked and delivered to your table.

Tracing its roots as a caterer, you will also find several cooked dishes on chafing trays here at Buffet Town. Among those on display were the Roasted Hainanese Chicken and Rice, seafood salpicao, steamed suahe, Laing, braised beef, and more.

The highlight of the buffet would be the carving station where two very meaty items are featured. The Bellychon is a pork belly lechon roll that comes with crispy crackling skin and juicy lechon meat. Add some liver sauce to complete the experience.

Just beside this is the Angus Lechon Baka, a glorious chunk of roasted beef that is just so delicious with its very tender beef slices. There are really so many dishes to choose from at Buffet Town but I didn't really feel overwhelmed because everything was served with the right portions.

But if you thought that was all, there's actually even more because each table at Buffet Town also comes with a hotpot bowl where guests can cook their own hotpot items. First, choose two from among the four soup flavors provided including Pork Bone, Sukiyaki, Tomato and Mushrooms, and Spicy Kimchi.

Then head over to the Hotpot Station to get your preferred items like fishballs, cheese balls, mushroom balls, shrimp, dumplings, veggies, and more.

Diners can also get unlimited servings of sliced beef and sliced pork so you can have a full hotpot experience together with your full buffet selection. What more can you ask for?

Beverages are included in the buffet price so guests can have bottomless glasses of fruit juices, chocolate, and yogurt drinks. There's also unlimited UCC Coffee which is something you don't often find in buffet restaurants.

To make your dining experience even more festive, live dance performances are held every hour or so around the venue, with special numbers for birthday celebrants or those celebrating special occasions.

To complete your wonderful dining experience at Buffet Town, head over to the dessert station where you can prepare and choose your own Hanami Dessert Box. Customize your box with nine assorted mini Asian delicacies including matcha cheesecake, panna cotta, creme brûlée, fruits, and ice cream with flavors like cheesecake, chocolate, mocha and lots more.

We would like to thank Michelle Chan for inviting us and hosting our delightful visit to Buffet Town. We really had a unique dining experience that is quite different from how we usually eat at buffet restaurants. It's a great place to meet up with friends and family since you can take it easy and bond over good food and good company. I'm surely going back here soon!

Erica: I kept wondering what that transparent sphere is.

(mofu note: KOPN28 said the transparent effect is achieved by incomplete composition from the green props. They are wrapped in plastic for a different reflection rate with the green background so a semi-transparent effect can be achieved.)

The cast didn't understand the Chikyu script on Kaguragi's phone for Himeno as well. Erica heard from Mizuma-san (head maid) what it means when they went for a meal together.

So: Isn't it awesome the fans can decode that?

Taisei: What does it actually mean...?

Erica & So: *villainess evil laugh hand* Someone who looks down on others.

(mofu note: 高飛車 [たかびしゃ] is a Japanese Chess [shogi] technical term that lends into describing a domineering person.)

Yuzuki: the maids jumped when you stomp on the floor

Erica: Sebas got rounder too.

So: When did I ever slap my thighs??

Erica: That was Kamihori-san's idea.

Yuzuki: Yanma said I did a nice Skapon Tanuki

So: Did he write it down? It's your own part, you need to pause it and read it properly.

Yuzuki: I thought we don't have to pause for this. He just said "Rita's first Skapon Tanuki. Nice Skapon Tanuki."

[Yanma's Rita scream]

Yuzuki: (paused anyway) OK, this pause is just right. He overdid it. I don't roll my eyes or tremble. XD

They all said GiraJera is super similar, esp. the voices.

The "Tyrant King! King of In-betweens!" exchange is not in the script according to Taisei.

So mentioned Jera-in-Gira checks out his right arm and Taisei laughed embarrassingly, looking over to Yuzuki and said he practised Jeramie's hand movements.

Yuzuki: Wait wait wait. This happened that morning at the entrance of the studio. When I was coming back to the studio, Taisei was coming the other way. He keeps doing Jeramie's hand. *mimics Taisei mimics Jeramie's tosa hand*.

Taisei: I was practising this scene. "'This means...' Ah it's Yuzuyan."

They noticed the OP narration changed from 5 to 6 countries and "man who would become king" became "rebel warriors".

So: Kaguragi and Himeno are arguing about the dumbbell in this scene, but over here (Yanma & Rita) something's happening too. This scene is always fun to watch and rewatch every time.

Yuzuki: Gira and Jeramie's reaction is fun to watch too. *confused about how to call Jera-in-Gira, Masashi corrects her* Gira-in-Jera is always *mimics Gira's wide-eyed confusion* and behind him is like *mimics Jeramie's open arms*

Taisei: We filmed more footage than usually needed for this scene.

So: The director let us act freely in this scene so it came out fun.

Taisei: Yes, everyone got to show their personality.

Erica: Right. We were like playing around.

Masashi: We were enjoying ourselves too much, weren't we?

Erica: It was very chaotic at first, during table read.

So: Right, Kamihori-san told us to act freely. He instructed us one-by-one what mannerisms to pay attention to as another character.

Erica: The dumbbell wasn't in the script at first.

Masashi: Was Kaguragi ever a bodybuilder?

So: No, but he's a power-type character and we want to show that. We thought of slicing the throne in half, but that's impossible of course. Takada Masashi-san (Spider Kumonos SA) suggested the dumbbell.

Erica: Tera-san (Teramoto Shugo, Hachi Ohger SA) said it should fly away.

Yuzuki: Rita does, but here was Aoto's improvisation on set.

(mofu note: Yuzuki keeps using 勝手に to describe Aoto. a little bit accusing that he's doing all these by himself (light-hearted of course), as she later revealed that Aoto didn't discuss with her at all how to portray Rita. It fits with Aoto's style that he prefers the on-set chemistry and doesn't discuss much with the N'kosopa team as well.)

So: Why does Himeno have a second dumbbell when the first one is swept away?!

Erica: I don't quite understand (the nuance of) Kaku-san's chin-touching gesture so I asked the director. He said that was touching his beard. But Himeno sometimes touches the tip of her chin when thinking too, so I need to open my thumb and forefinger wider (to grab my whole chin).

Yuzuki: *laughing under her breath*

Erica: What?

Masashi: Don't just laugh sneakily.

Yuzuki: No! XD Taisei is saying in a small voice, "it feels nice to rub the stubs" XD Only I heard him. He keeps muttering something like "じょりじょり" right next to my ear! XD

Taisei: I just resonated with the scene.

So: Right, when the beard grows back a little.

[Erica's ad-lib: "Muscles to protect the people!"]

Masashi: The legendary line is here.

So: Mari is awesome for reacting to my ad-lib so quickly. She asked me if there are more exercises than just the bicep curl, and I said the side raise. She asked, "Then what muscles does this train?" "I'm not sure..."

Then filming started... no, that was during the test, she answered "Muscles to protect the people!"

Erica: The truth is I forgot the names of the arm muscles.

Taisei: I was next to Kamihori-san. He said, "Genius."

Erica: Well, this is the fruit of everyone's hard work.

Yuzuki: this shot when everyone switched to serious mode when the enemy shows up is cool.

Yuzuki: Usually I'll do the pon pon sound too, but this is all Aoto's idea here. "I can't always just hold Moffun in my hand." So he asked the prop master to pin it onto him. There isn't a pocket on his jacket. "Will it stay if I pat it?" He didn't do the Moffun pat in the test though, just the actual take.

Erica: This is me trying my best to bring about that physique after the director told me to observe Kaku-san. My inner thighs ended up hurting a lot because of the squats. But that was good exercise for blood circulation so any swelling is gone now.

Masashi, So like that Himeno had to get hands-on and improved Toufu's medical care.

The wasabi used is a high-class one, worth 2,000yen each. Three were prepared. Yoshimitsu-san (Sebas) told them at the end of the day not to waste it and it was distributed among the crew.

Taisei squeezed his eyes to figure out if the river background is composite. It's LED wall.

Good wasabi only grows in good water so the crop is suitable for Ishabana where water is an important design element.

(Putting down the wasabi root on Sebastian's tray) Erica: It's important to inject that power into my movements.

Yuzuki: No really, everyone is having such a touching scene, what ARE we doing?! Gira and Jeramie moved forward peace between humans and bugnaroks. Himeno and Kaguragi understood each other better and with a touching piano bgm too. What ARE we doing? It's meaningless to just send prisoners back and forth. Why did our relationship become worse?

Erica: For the two of you, arguing is proof that you are friends with each other.

Yuzuki: These two synced on the wrong channel. "What ARE we doing?!" Yanma said so too.

Aoto memo #6: "What are we doing?!"

They all laughed at Yanma's exasperated sigh picking up the phone.

[Baka Ninja]

They like the "idiot ninja" line and Yuzuki said it's actually corrected in dubbing. The original line is something like "It's back". Since Rita has their mouth covered, it's easy to correct their lines in post.

(mofu note: I remember Yuzuki said something similar but I forgot the source. Sometimes her lines are cut for the same reason too, just because the director thinks it's cooler if Rita doesn't speak there.)

Erica's second Kaguragi henshin is her second take. She kinda overdid it the first time, it looked a bit silly.

They can't distinguish who yelled "お待だせ" for Gira and Jeramie.

Masashi: (when they switch back) Gira's laughter here is cute. "A ha ha".

Masashi: That BAAN is not me at all! I'm certain! This is Tai-pi's Baang.

So: How do you usually say it then?

Taisei: When I'm doing the "Bang!", it doesn't quite sound like Jeramie. But in the end, I went with the version that gives it his all for the "Bang"

They filmed this scene multiple times so everyone falls at the same time.

Yuzuki: Shiokara's bat is too fast and I only have one eye, it's hard to give reaction to that.

[AFTERTALK]

Erica is surprised to find out everyone agrees on what they find interesting.

Masashi mentioned they had doubts and worries when they first received the script, but they enjoyed it a lot. The director told them that it's going to be a hard episode to film, especially for Erica, all mysteriously before handing them the script, so she felt a bit of pressure there. During table read, Kamihori was the most tense. They mixed up who speak which lines that led to lots of laughs. That in turn gave them a bit of confidence, because they were worried the comedic bits were not gonna hit.They also learn to understand a character different from their own better.

Aoto didn't discuss with Yuzuki at all how to portray Rita at all. So explained that Aoto said Yuzuki would ban his ideas if he talked to her. Yuzuki said she won't but the boys disagree. Because Aoto did what he wanted with Rita, the possibilities of Rita's character has expanded upon his interpretation as well. Same goes for other characters.

O día que eu nacín, a Tia Rosa estaba na casa en Matodoso esperando impaciente a recibir a chamada que confirmara que todo saira ben e, cando esta chegou, automaticamente avisou á discoteca (H)ermo para que nas pantallas puxeran “Roberto, Silvia, naceu a Sariña”. Así é como comeza a miña historia xunto a Tia Rosa, pero a súa empezou moito antes de coñecerme.

Rosa María Rodríguez Veiga nace, en Castro Ribeiras do Lea, no cruce da Pousada, o 9 de marzo de 1963, aínda que no rexistro aparece como que isto aconteceu dous días despois, cando seu pai foi dar a noticia, xa que “total, era unha nena”. Na súa casa vivían seu pai, Benjamín, súa nai, Celia, súa irmá maior, Pepita, e Ángel, o fillo de solteira de súa tia que tivo que ir vivir con eles ao marchar súa nai á inmigración a Alemaña.

Benjamín traballaba nun aserradeiro e Celia limpando casas e de cociñeira no colexio da vila. Era unha familia humilde, que convivían cunha débeda deixada polo avó de Rosa, pero que, a pesar de nunca poder permitirse luxos, tampouco nunca faltou de nada. Unha familia galegofalante, na que nunca se levantou a voz a ninguén; se os novos pelexaban, o patrón da familia, que se sentaba na punta da mesa, só tiña que levantar a vista e xa non se volvía a escoitar nin un só chio.

A infancia de Rosa foi unha nenez normal, sen moitos xoguetes pero con moita diversión. Na súa casa só tiñan as bonecas que podían facer con espigas na época da sega e a bicicleta de seu pai, a cal tiña que conducir de lado, meténdose por entre os ferros, xa que senón non chegaba aos pedais. A hora do xogo adoitaba ser unha vez chegaban á casa do colexio: primeiro cambiaban a roupa, despois facían as súas tarefas da casa e, antes da cea, sempre había un intre para sair a xogar cos veciños, os da Pousada e os do Alejo, os cales si que tiñan xoguetes e mesmo tiñan xa unha canasta na que xogaban ao baloncesto. Debido a esta paixón que ela tiña por xogar cos rapaces, súa nai decíalle que lle ía pedir a un oleiro que lle fixera “unha caralliña de barro”. Aínda así, a veces tamén xogaba coas nenas á raiola ou á goma.

No ano 1969, cando tiña 6 anos, aconteceron dous feitos importantes. Un deles foi que chegaron á casa do lado unha parella de recén casados, Conchita e Vicente, dos cales Rosa se namorou perdidamente e cos que pasou moitas tardes, nas que, entre outras cousas, aprendeu a coser, xa que Conchita é costureira e dicíalle “podes estar aquí comigo, pero mirando non”.

O outro feito foi que Rosa comezou a escola. Ese primeiro día levaba o seu primeiro pantalón, este era de pana con flores, feito polo Domingo do Valiño, e un xersei feito pola Saleta; así era o seu uniforme. O colexio estaba no centro da vila, era unha sala ampla dividida cun tabique que separaba aos nenos das nenas, con pupitres, cadeiras e a mesa de Doña Caridad Docampo Mellor, a mestra. Na aula podían chegar a ser 20 nenas, as cales se dividían entre as pequenas e as maiores, dependendo do nivel que acadaran ou dos coñecementos que posuíran. A Rosa gustáballe ir, gustáballe aprender e estudar, era boa, pero “non nacín no momento que tiña que nacer”. Con 14 anos deixa a escola e comeza a traballar, seu pai enfermara de cancro anos atrás e había que axudar a manter a familia, polo que foi á casa da María José do José Antonio a facer as tarefas do fogar e a atender a Xosé. Sempre a trataron como unha mais, “coma se fora da casa”. Neste momento, Celia decide venderlle media parcela que teñen a Vicente, co obxectivo de construíren cada un a súa futura casa unha ao lado da outra. As obras comezan no 1977 e en 1980 múdanse definitivamente deixando atrás a casa onde o chan aínda era de terra.

As fins de semana a Rosa gustáballe dar paseos, ir de compras a Lugo e sair de festa cos amigos, especialmente coa Inés da Zapatería. Recorda, así mesmo, ir á Pousada e bailar toda a mocidade xunta no comedor escoitando Formula Quinta. As festas non eran como agora, eran máis pequenas, só ías se na parroquia tiñas familia e bailabas, porque non podías facer outra cousa, “que cartos non había”. Comezaban sobre as 10 e á 1 xa remataran, aínda que as había máis grandes que duraban máis, como a de Castro ou a de O Matodoso. Tamén era importante o San Froilán, onde ía toda a familia a comer o polvo nas casetas e logo volvía todo o pobo xunto no autobús do Paco, pois non se podían permitir ir e volver en coche; de feito, unha das mellores opcións era chamar ao taxi. Debido a isto, e porque era a primeira da familia, que Pepita sacara o carnet de conducir en 1979, “foi todo un acontecemento”.

En canto aos rapaces, non era complicado ligar, mais Rosa só tivo unha parella Luis, o irmán de meu pai, ao cal coñeceu ao 17 anos. Como el xa tiña coche, poideron comezar a saír por Muimenta á Hermo (que xa daquela existía), por Vilalba e por Lugo. Axiña empezaron a ser amigos de Mari e Carlos da Pesca e de Fernando e Fina do Cruce; polo que os 6 amigos saían xuntos.

En 1981, tras pasar un ano hospitalizado na Coruña, Benjamín morre: “ingresou por reis e enterrámolo por noiteboa”. Logo disto, Rosa cásase o 20 de marzo do 82 e múdanse a vivir ao barrio dos Mallos (A Coruña), onde estiveron pouco tempo, pois Luis traballaba cunha grúa e íanse movendo según onde estivera o traballo. Alí descobre que está embarazada e, tras unha nova mudanza a Fene (Ferrol), o 7 de decembro nace a súa primeira filla, Silvia.

Cando Pepita se casa e marcha para a casa do marido, a familia ten que volver a vivir a Castro para coidar de súa avoa Estrella, pois Celia non podía xa que traballaba. Vai ser alí onde, en 1984, nace o segundo fillo da parella, Roberto, meu padriño. Co ciclón Hortensia arrasando o noso pais, Rosa ponse de parto e Vicente non paraba de dicirlle “non pairas hoxe Rosiña, non pairas esta noite”, pois Luis estaba en San Cibrao traballando e non podería asistir. Finalmente pariu de noite, pero a seguinte, xa co amparo do seu marido.

Cando a avoa morre, marchan a vivir a Lugo, ao Sagrado Corazón, a un piso no que Rosa, sendo aínda moi nova, criou soa a dous fillos, pois Luis traballaba fóra durante toda a semana. En 1986 volven a vivir na Coruña.

Anos despois, en 1990, Carlos (o irmán máis pequeno de meu pai) e o Pepe do Severino teñen un accidente moi grave co coche e meu tio queda en coma 12 días. Nesa doceava tarde, meu avó foi ver ao seu fillo ao hospital para logo ir á misa que Don Ramón, o cura da parroquia, organizaba todas as noites para pedir que se recuperan. Facía anos que o sogro de Rosa non ía a misa, mesmo non acudira polos bautizos dos seus netos, e esa noite, tras chamar a Rosa para contarlle como vira a Carlos e que fora á novena (así se chama o tipo de rezo que facían), ás 23:20 avísana de que Delfín, meu avó, acaba de morrer. Ao día seguinte, Carlos desperta.

Nese momento, teñen que virse vivir ao Matodoso, a casa familiar, para coidar de miña avoa. Vivían aquí sete persoas: os catro compoñentes da nova familia de Rosa, súa sogra Aurora, e seus cuñados Marcos e Carlos (meu pai e meu tio). Pasaron 10 anos nesa casa, nos cales puideron comprar uns camións ao Señor Lema, que era o xefe de Luis e que o quería como un fillo. Esta empresa formada por Luis, Pepe (meu tio máis maior) e Vicente saiu ben, e mesmo poideron comprar dúas fincas no polígono de Castro.

No 1997, houbo un terremoto grandísimo en Triacastela, de 5,1 na escala Richter. Silvia e Aurora, que estaban arriba durmindo, nin se enteraron do temblor; mais Rosa e Roberto si, os cales sairon correndo da casa en roupa interior e se atoparon fóra co Toño do Severino tamén en calzoncillos. Despois desa noite, aínda durmiron varios días nun sillón no pasillo e coas portas abertas por medo a que se repetira. Rosa seguiu criando aos seus fillos que se pelexaban por dormir con ela, e incluso tiñan un calendario para determinar quen podía durmir na súa cama cada noite (Rober, Silvia, Papá, Papá, Rober, Silvia…), e coidando da sogra, a cal comezou a enfermar no 96 e que finalmente morreu o 23 de agosto de 1999.

Nese mesmo ano, xa eliminada a mili obrigatoria, o que conlevaba que Roberto non ía ter que ir, Silvia comúnicalles a seus pais que ela quere alistarse ás forzas do Estado e ser militar. Marcha dende Lugo, acompañada pola súa familia ata a estación, mais, ao non conseguir a nota que agardaba e que a destinaran a Cadiz, volve para a casa para poder intentar ir ao destino que ela quería ao seguinte ano.

Con todo isto, chegamos ao 13 de maio do 2000, onde nos situamos novamente no inicio desta narración. Tras moitos anos sen nacementos na familia, o día da festa do Matodoso, miña nai ponse de parto. Rosa estaba preparando a comida para o domingo, pois ía ter invitados; tiña as tartas no forno cando miña nai a chama dicíndolle que ropera augas. Foron á na que vivía facerlle compañía e, tras moito esperar porque non tiña dores de parto, levárona ao hospital para practicarlle unha cesárea. Logo de min seguiu aumentando a familia moito máis rápido, naceron Lois (2001), Bieito (2003), David (2004), Laura (2005), Iago (2008) e máis ata chegar á numerosa familia que somos a día de hoxe.

Retomando a narración, Rosa viñera vivir a Matodoso coa única condición de volver para a súa casa do Burgo (Coruña), así que en 2001 múdanse para alí definitivamente. Silvia volve a probar sorte no exercito e esta ben ten sorte, polo que puido ir para Pontevedra. Alí, anos despois, coñece a Pedro, a súa actual parella e co cal ten dous fillos gatunos: Oli e Ver.

Neses anos, Luis traballaba fóra facendo viaxes en camión de Coruña a Madrid e Roberto comenzaba tamén tratando de facerse un oco cos camións coma seu pai. Polo tanto, Rosa vivía practicamente soa. Xa sen ataduras familiares comeza a traballar en Cleci, unha empresa de limpeza de oficinas e bancos; logo, en 2004, contrátana nunha residencia na cal segue a día de hoxe.

No 2002, nunha visita á casa de seus pais, eu estaba xogando co can de Marifé, tirándolle a pelota; pero cando Rosa me colle no colo, o can vólvese tolo e salta cara min coa mala sorte de que me morde no labio e arrincame un cachiño del. Entre choros quixo chamar á familia para contarllelo, mais contabao de tal forma que meu tio Cani cando chegou tamén alterado dixo “pero eu pensei que a mordera doutra forma, eso non é nada”. Rosa afirma que este foi un dos disgusto máis grandes da súa vida.

Outra anécdota xuntas acontece en 2003, cando nunha das moitas veces que me ía con eles para Coruña tras unha visita, ao chegar comecei a chorar e non había forma de consolarme, así que ás dúas da mañá puxeron rumbo de novo a Matodoso e, ao encontrarme con miña nai, dixen “quentinme”.

Logo, en 2004, fixemos a nosa primeira viaxe por España; concretamente fomos a Torrevieja, onde meu padriño, Roberto, estaba vivindo cunha parella. Fomos no coche Silvia, Celia e nós dúas, todo un día conducindo; mesmo Luis nos fixera un croquis de como atravesar Madrid, “porque daquela nin gps nin nada”, e dicialles repetidas veces “cando vexa o anuncio do león, colles a seguinte salida, non vos pasedes!”. Cando por fin chegamos, ceamos e quedamos unha semana nun piso que nos tiñan preparado xusto encima de onde eles vivían. Estivemos unha semana alí.

Co paso dos anos eu seguín indo a a Coruña de cando en vez, a pasar uns días na compañía da Tia Rosa, que me deixaba durmir no sofá e facíame doces e biscoitos. Recordo con especial cariño cando preparaba a masa das filloas, íamos ao parque para deixala repousar e, cando volvíamos, ela facía as filloas mentras eu as comía.

En 2008 nace Azael, fillo de Bego, a única sobriña de sangue de Rosa, a cal pouco despois se casa. Ao ano seguinte sepárase.

Novamente, tras moitos anos sen nacer ninguén, en 2016, aparece Gael, fillo de Milito, o mellor amigo de Rober, e neto de Concha, unha das mellores amigas de Rosa. Ao igual que pasou comigo, foi un acontecemento moi importante e unha gran alegría, porque para eles son como da familia.

Na Semana Santa de 2019, facemos xuntas a nosa primeira viaxe fóra da península: a Marrocos. Fomos a unha voda do fillo dunha amiga de miña tia, a cal nos quixo invitar en agradecemento a que Rosa “non a discriminase por ser de fóra” cando comezou a traballar na residencia. Unha vez pasamos moitas horas no coche, cruzamos en ferry e volvimos pasar moitas horas en autobus; non fomos en avión posto que a Rosa aínda lle da algo de reparo subirse en tan xigante máquina. Estivemos alí unha semana probando a gastronomía, coñecendo lugares e vendo as diferenzas culturais, as cales Rosa creía que non eran tantas, sempre estaba dicindo “pouca diferncia hai desto a O Matodoso fai 50 anos”. Doutra banda, é importante dicir que foi nesta viaxe onde Roberto coñeceu a Iman, a súa actual muller dende o 14 de xaneiro de 2023, cando se casaron seguindo a tradición musulmá.

Tamén en 2019, concretamente o 28 de agosto, Luis e Rosa mercan unha finca en Cambre, preto da súa casa, co obxectivo de que cando meu tio se xubilara tivera algo que facer máis que estar pechado no seu pisiño. Agora pasan alí moitas mañáns e tardes onde Luis argalla nas súas cousas e Rosa ten unha horta e un forno de leña para facer o pan.

Seguindo achegándonos á actualidade, en 2022 meu pai, Marcos, rompe a cadeira e Rosa volve a transladarse temporalmente a Matodoso para axudarlle a miña nai cos coidados e na casa. En abril, cando eu chego do meu Erasmus+ de Turquía, Marcos volve a ingresar e Rosa volve para a miña casa vivir comigo e miña irmá mentres miña nai vive no hospital para coidar de meu pai. Pasa connosco 15 días ata que, o 9 de abril, seu cuñado morre e volve á súa vida habitual.

Tamén nestes anos nacen Xurxo (2021) e Brianda (2023), neto de Maricarmen, amiga de Rosa, e “gracias a Dios, volvemos a ter nenos pequenos”.

A nosa última aventura xuntas comeza cando, en decembro, me atopo que podo realizar as prácticas da carreira nun centro en Culleredo (A Coruña), preto do seu piso. Polo que en xaneiro de 2023 múdome á súa casa. Xa levo 5 meses aquí onde tivemos moitas conversacións á hora da cea mentras víamos o Atrápame se podes e aprendín a ganchillar.

Agora, vivimos neste piso catro persoas: Rosa, que segue traballando pero con moitas baixas de por medio; Roberto, que necesita facer cartos para poder traer á súa muller a vivir con el; Luis, xa xubilado e que se está recuperando dun microictus; e eu, apunto de acabar a carreira e ser a primeira universitaria da familia, feito que ten a Tia Rosa moi orgullosa.
