I forgot we actually do get a good look at Laios’s parents together! But they’re in the context of his anxiety dreams, NATURALLY. It appears he might not have had the best relationship with them. And we get confirmation that the dungeon’s the only place Laios had felt any sense of belonging, and this is the one thing in his life he’s persisted in. As jovial as he seems, he’s very haunted by his past failures, INCLUDING:
...the goldpeeler thing Kabru bought up before. Laios is well aware that he struggles socially and it IS something that bothers him. Lotsa neurodivergents feels from me here.
