I find it interesting that the First two episodes of Grendizer U featured the Arabian Middle-East (specifically Dubai) and then France on the second episode.

I choose to believe that this is a nod to Grendizer's popularity specifically in those two countries/regions outside of Japan. I wonder if Grendizer was popular in South America like Saint Seiya was.
