In the corner of the kitchen in their home, the brunet had a chill up his spine.

Ethan takes cooking seriously as he does making sure his client ( Zola being his first and only one ) is safe. He takes into account a person's allergies, dislikes and even their preferences in terms of food. It's mostly because of his time in Sumeru Desert where its nothing but sand, henna berries, Ajilenakh Nuts and the most "don't remind me" way of getting raw meat, Ethan takes unusual methods of cooking as a offense.

"My hand hurts Zola..."

"I didn't grip it that hard.."

"I have a red crescents on the back of my hand, I WENT ON MY KNEE."

"Heh.. no, I use to be a medical combatant for a Eremite group before being a magician's assistant." Still seeing the blonde take a careful step on his to his injury it gave the brunet a sense of ease seeing someone take it simple.

"Still it'll take a while for your injury to completely heal, so try to take it easy in any fights ahead." Ethan stood up and took his bag with a smile. "Though unlike my charge, it was just a simple medicine from herbs."

"Oh..." Still sitting on the ground with his leg stretched out, Aether had to blink a few times to make sure he wasn't dreaming. The pain was actually going away!

"It's amazing... You've actually fixed it. It doesn't feel bad at all now!" He even thought he could get back on his feet, maybe even skip a jump! Of course, he wouldn't dare. But Aether shifted slowly to get up nonetheless, testing the feeling of the ground under his feet again.

In a stupor, he looked back at the stranger who had just healed him somehow. "What was that? Are you some kind of doctor?"

The magi held a bag of salt and started to walk in a circle with the salt pouring out with each step as her assistant and familiar watched: worry, relief, anxiety were the various emotions that shown on Ethan's face watching as his oldest friend was performing a spell in someone else's body.

"So you plan on using this salt circle, after drawing down the symbols of the spell then you and Taru sit in the circle and then what?"

The magi looked over with a piece of chalk in her hand with a pout. "Then we put our respective visions on our sides, my vision next to her body and hers next to my body. Then you have Owliver tap the floor inside the circle three times. We'll probably clock out after, but five minutes from it Owliver will fly towards us and preen the head of the body I'm in."

"...How the hell can you say that with such a casual tone.."

"I couldn't tell if the first question was genuine or not then I shuddered in disbelief for a moment."

"But isn't the question right to get asked when it comes to rock salt?"

"Rock salt is completely different from regular salt in size and coloring. Salt itself from underground salt deposits and the ocean, hence why the ocean water is salty. Rock salt comes from those underground salt deposits, regular salt is from evaporating sea water."

Meanwhile the magician's young cousin is watching him to see the supposed "temper"

Xiangling and Hu Tao both would drive Ethan mad from how they cook, but since we have no idea how Hu Tao cooks. Just know that she makes suspicious dishes is just a sign not to let her in the kitchen that's why she's not there.

Aya.ka is the same as her brother, I don't like these sibs. Arlecchino is obvious, KEI.QING RUINS MY 50/50, and Nin's story quest leaves me bitter because those fauti agents literally did nothing wrong.

"There's another Wanderer Troupe card coming!?"

"Oh not again."

"Yes I am." He looked over to Zola's sleeping figure and Cyno with a nod as he listened in, Ethan held up a canteen in his hand while showing the one at his hip. "Originally Zola and I were going to the Oasis a walking distance from here and set a camp to shelter ourselves from the sunrays intensity."

With Owliver moving to his shoulder, Ethan took a seat next to Zola, shifting her so she'd rest on his arm with a sigh as he nodded in agreement with Cyno. "Traveling at night it seems like the best choice for us, I just hope she feels better to travel. The idea of a ambush at night is high."

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━   Cyno just sat watching over her, furrowing his brows at the owl, but thought nothing of it, even reaching out to pet it until he came face to face with someone new. When the other addressed him, he dropped his hand, nodding as he moved to stand up. "Yes, you must be Ethan?" He asked, "I don't believe I got her name, but your friend is resting. She had looked unwell so I lent her some water from my waterskin."

A pause as he looked over the other's appearance. "I presume you made it to where you were headed and back without any problems?" He asked, hoping that was the case. They were a decent bit away from the Akademiya and if there were any problems that he needed to take care of out this way, he'd have to do it before returning.

Looking back down at the girl on the floor, he turned back to Ethan. "Once she wakes, we can head back to the Akademiya together. You should get some rest, too. The sun is intense today and it's a long way back." He said, stepping aside to give him room to lay next to the girl.

Ethan takes his role as Zola's assistant seriously to the point where he made himself her bodyguard to make up for worrying her, leaving as a kid the first night in sumeru worrying his parents thinking something happened which transferred badly to Zola and kept a distance from her until she found out he was okay

He also has her brother constantly watching him via his familiar and he knows he's not in for a good time seeing a woman in a crow mask and kimono stare him down if Zola isn't alright.
