"Sure but why did you get the idea for a ball while were in Natlan of all nations, we're not even close to Sumeru." Not to mention the prep work and location for it even happening.

"My folks know hers, in a sense we're childhood friends but I moved to Sumeru when we were still kids.. didn't keep in touch when she was in the akademiya until she managed to find me. I'm kinda making up for that being a body guard of sorts but we always tell people I'm her magician's assistant you can say I'm a little of both."

There was a slight smile to the brunet's lips before he closed his eyes at the question. "Not much just bits and pieces from memory of her coughing and holding her chest, my parents told me not to push her to run a lot or going out in the cold. I figured then it had something to do with her magic I could never tell." Opening his eyes, Ethan gave out a slight laugh. "Though trying to give her all physically bothers that condition, thankfully she knows her limits and takes precautions against it."

"When you put it like that, it makes me feel a little less selfish. Thank you." Cyno said, sighing silently like something inside him had just dissolved a very painful knot. Even his shoulders dropped slightly, more relaxed.

After a moment of hesitation, he looked back at Ethan.

"You seem to know her so well... So you know what happened to her?" He asked with caution. "About her sickness?"

It was so painful to watch sometimes, if it wasn't the deck playing cards shuffling from her magic, the music notes would give away the obvious sign she had feelings for the ginger. Yet when it came to the passive alchemist? Oh he was worse then the magician.

The blush that would coat his cheeks, the longing stares and the stammering match between them he wanted it to end so badly. Ethan swore to the Heavens themselves if he saw the magi's pointed ear twitch trying to speak he'd scream.
