Spider Kiss (originally titled Rockabilly) is a 1961 novel by American author Harlan Ellison.
A seemingly shy and humble country boy named Luther Sellers is discovered to have a magnificent voice and mesmerizing stage presence.

I know many people in the fandom hates the EC and for some reason also Nora (when she gave us aftg like what’s wrong with y’all) but how many authors give us as much as Nora did?! Who gave us so so much extra content when she could have just left us with the three books. I love the EC with my entire heart and I understand if you don’t agree with some of it but hating it ?? And hating the author for it?? The EC is so under-appreciated and underrated.

Sadness: English yew (Taxus baccata)
Parallel post to my previous one! Yew will always remind me of the The Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (from an original idea by Siobhan Dowd) which was illustrated by Jim Kay. In modern literature, I really do think this is one of the best stories that uses the symbolism of yew for grief and sorrow. The story follows 14-year old Conor O'Malley who is trying to come to terms with his mother's fight with cancer and it's SO beautifully illustrated.

Me reading the wedding scene in Hammer of Thor:
Already thinking of ways I can twist this entire thing in a Good parent Loki AU so that he actually has a plan after this to help Alex/Samirah.
This line, this fucking line:

My DM's Guild Books!
pssst hey I've made books you should get them on the Dungeon Masters Guild!. Together both are like 4 bucks! We are close to a gold medal too! Which would let me print my books on demand! http://dmsguild.com/product/381118… http://dmsguild.com/product/403411… Cosmos Curiosities is a book about a shop that appears anywhere in the multiverse. It can follow your party even if they venture from world to world. The enigmatic shopkeeper Vega has 42 new items from across the multiverse in her shop, and the book also has plot hooks, and roleplay tips for running Vega! I am actually working on a follow up to this book with more items, new races, backgrounds and more!

The Biblioplex Archive has 20+ spells to add to your Strixhaven campaign based on the instants and sorcery cards from the Magic The Gathering set. This book is under 80 sales away from a gold medal! Which means future books I make could be print on demand! There are some NPC's in here as well you can add to your Strixhaven campaigns!

I feel like school kinda screwed with me that I need to take notes and annotate everything because most stuff I can’t directly annotate (esp not how they taught me to with different symbols meaning different things, a lot of things i at best get to color code with different highlighter colors which I have been told was an eyesore before lmao) but anyways now I have so much reading weekly that taking notes adds a lot of time to but I feel like I can’t retain any info without taking notes so now I’m kinda stuck lol

#OneJumpataTimeMyStory #NathanChen #BookReview #AudiobookReview #Olympics #HarperCollins #GoldMedal
I love the Olympics and the great comeback stories that always come out of the games. #OneJumpataTime by #NathanChen tells his story of falling in love with figure skating at the Salt Lake City Games and his quest to #OlympicGold #Bookreview #goldmedal
In this exhilarating memoir, three-time World Champion and Olympic gold-medalist Nathan Chen tells the story of his remarkable journey to success, reflecting on his life as a Chinese American figure skater and the joys and challenges he has experienced–including the tremendous sacrifices he and his family made, and the physical and emotional pain he endured. When three-year-old Nathan Chen tried…

Exactly. I want to read, I want to be put into a world with a conflict and resolution. I want it to be fun, scary, exciting, and all the other things books can be. I don’t want to read it because your main character is queer, disabled, or a certain ethnicity. I want to read it because that character is awesome. When you limit a character down to the fact that they are a hispanic lesbian who had their arm amputated, it does the exact opposite. You make that character their disability, ethnicity, and/or sexuality and nothing else. When in reality people who are queer, disabled, and of certain ethnic backgrounds are more than that. They can be brilliant, crafty, rude, kind, sneaky, mysterious, anything under the sun. Just like everyone else. Representation shouldn’t be limiting a character to that alone. It should be opening doors for the character.
I hate the trend of just describing books with what minorities the main characters represent and nothing else. not only does it feel weird + exploitative to me it's also such a shoddy ineffective marketing technique. "this is my book with queer polyam disabled vampires you should buy it" ok great but what is it like. about. what are the themes. why should I read it
