so this is sort of tied in to the flower ask i answered the other day for Ale! (thank you again @dreamieparadise, for both of these!!🧡🧡)

essentially the continuation question was "what flowers do you associate with Hayato/Ale (5990) / ones that represent their relationship?"

-> Amaranth / Astilbe / Balsam ( reasons/explanations under the cut! )

-> Amaranth :: Amaranth represents endless love and eternal affection; not really representative of them early on in their relationship, but definitely one of the defining ones by TYL. Through all the hardships and tension they face early on theyre able to truly connect and relate to each other, be there for each other through thick and thin.

-> Astilbe :: Astilbe represents patience, dedication, and strength. Patience being the key factor for Astilbe; Hayato and Ale did not get along in the beginning. At all. Both of them with their own weird sense of pride and bad first impressions. Ale saw Hayato as some annoying puppy following Tsuna around like he was starved for attention. Meanwhile, Hayato sees this new foreign kid trying to bond with Tsuna out of nowhere and doesn't trust her at all. It takes weeks before they finally try and work past their instant opinion of the other, and not without a lot of forced proximity to each other. A confession gone utterly wrong puts a roadblock in place for a time, but again, patience and actually thinking things through gets over it easily enough.

Dedication, or rather, proving the dedication, both to each other and the alliance between the Families is a strong factor on their relationship. They first get close during the Battle for the Vongola Rings, wherein Ale and the Novana act like moral support for Tsuna and the Guardians; Ale especially making themself present during the Storm Battle. Where Hayato cements himself with Ale once theyre forced to go through their family's own inheritance and the aftermath.

-> Balsam :: represents impatience, ardent love, and ill tempers. This one is pretty self-explanatory and pretty fitting? Both of them have short fuses at times, and neither have the patience at first to let their brain work before they react to things. Balsam is pretty symbolic of both of their Storm mentalities, Hayato moreso, but Ale still has it at times given their secondary flames.

However, ardent love... its a passionate, intense form of love that comes with a deep emotional commitment. Working through trauma together, slowly getting each other to open up and be comfortable around each other to not have to mask their feelings -- simple enough of a reason to be in the representation. But also -- Ale breaking their family's curse by saving Hayato during the hunts and living, dealing with the immense guilt he feels about it, the reassurance from Ale that it was their own decision and they would do it again because they love him that much-- Yeah.

its 3am and im too tired to shade forgive me-- anyway!! extras bc i can and some of the stuff might be like "???"

-> Ale was one of the unfortunate ocs that got their creation date as their birthday, so finding out they're only a week younger than Hayato is actually really funny shdjfk canon-ly, we'll say he likes to hold that over their head sometimes just to annoy them-

-> Ale is very much about PDA, and is definitely more physical/touchy than Hayato! He's more about words, and he'll get flustered sometimes when Ale gets too affectionate

-> "popular/charismatic" ... i think they couldn't care less honestly??

-> both of them can simultaneously either be "they both can cook" or "they both just order take out" at any given time. Ale doesn't like to cook, but they can. Hayato likes cooking, he just never has the urge to.

-> Ale's never had a relationship before, so self-explanatory there. I-- I hc that Hayato hasn't really either?? they're both just messes I'm sorry-

-> They've both gotten really good at telling when something is wrong with the other, without any overtly obvious signs -- like being able to tell when the other is upset when they haven't even said anything yet.

-> Ale confesses first, but Hayato is the one who proposes! Kind of like "you got us here, now I'm getting us further" kinda deal. Also Ale's constant "It's your move now~" comments eventually get to him LMAO

-> OKAY IVE MENTIONED IT BEFORE I THINK BUT-- THE "WHO DIES PROTECTING THE OTHER" IS ACTUALLY A BIG THING FOR THEM because Ale technically was supposed to die for him, but funny how Curses sometimes don't work out right ahahAHAHA-

Fun fact; Ale also thought he was a loser when they first moved to Namimori. To be fair, he thought Tsuna was a loser too when they first met him. They didn't think highly of either of them, only hitting it off with Yamamoto at first!

They thought Tsuna was just some weak loser who didn't deserve his Decimo title (Ale had pride that they were raised in the Novana and trained for their title, Tsuna just irritated them with how he acted about it) and Ale just thought Hayato was ANNOYING with how he acted towards them over Tsuna.

( funny, considering how close they get months later, but anyway-- )

Like I assume Ale would be some sort of mage because Witch but I'm curious...for bonus points what classes would the rest of your KHR OCs/pairings be as well!

ooooo it is fun to noodle on, as someone who obsessively plays rpgs!! If we’re talking specifically Final Fantasy classes — gonna go with XIV bc im most knowledgeable with it bdkcns

100% correct when you said Ale would be a mage of some kind!! I have two different classes for them - DPS-wise, they’d be a Red Mage! RDM is a mix of both black + white magic, so damaging PLUS healing/support which very much fits Ale’s character! The other class I have is mostly just because of the Witch theme/background — Astrologian!! The Novana Family specifically ties in to Tarot + Stars, and the Astrologian class is a healing class that uses Tarot cards for buffs/healing! (You can tell i’ve thought too much about this—)

Hayato is— a little harder for me to pinpoint?? My brain automatically says Bard for the archery aspects + music background, but I can also see Machinist for him bc of the dynamite + sniping theme?? It could go either way, but he’s so DPS coded bdjcnd

For the others— theyre a lot harder for me hdkcs I want to say Sophia would be a White or Black Mage, fully going in on the Witch aspect since she’s the Head Priestess of the coven- Vita is so techy-based I couldnt think of a classic rpg class if I wanted to. Same with Shou in a way? The two of them elude me.

as for them -- I'm not sure?? Ale's always been like a... trashy tv, watching people be just awful kind of person I think. But also they give me True Crime vibes, like they'll just sit there and watch stuff about cults and stuff like that in other countries specifically.

But both of them together?? God it'd be like watching tons of Ancient Aliens and just conspiracy videos -- Hayato bc he's actually interested, Ale bc mild interest but also just to make fun of whatever they talk about in the episode LOL

....I also wanna say they'd just watch Ghost Hunters-adjacent stuff tbh

lets see... I do have a playlist made for Ale, though it doesn't have much on it yet. I'm very much the kind of person that wants most of the lyrics to fit whatever the playlist is for (in this case, Ale themself) so I'm very picky 90% of the time.

I would say -- probably two of the "big" songs I have for Ale, is "Break My Face" by AJR, and "Hypocrates" by MARINA ! <-- Hypocrates moreso bc I think it gives a big nod to how they feel towards their family; blood because of how their relationship with their mother turns out, and the Novana, because of how strongly they want to change the course it's running.

AND THEN... 5990...
