The horns are his own, when he goes into a rage they appear, I made an adaptation for this to happen, I took the bear token from the barbarian class and talked to my friend (the RPG master), to let me follow the path of the buffalo, that was the context that led my character to this...

Six Soundtrack Tag Game

I was tagged by @omniblades-and-stars! I rolled a die to see which of my main characters I'd do this for, and I got Drake Coronoctis! If I tag you, please make a new post with links to music and/or lyrics to describe the following:

1.) An event that defines your character's past:

Shortly after Drake establishes his personality and starts to grow from machine to person, the Elder Gods ruling his home plucked both him and his father, angry with Drake's father for creating false life out of nothing. It upset a delicate balance. Drake's father, Dr. Zedgyonne, was given the choice between his life and his creation's life, as only one of them could leave alive to protect the delicate balance of souls. Dr. Z picked his son, and Drake was forced to end his own father's life. It's a decision that weighs really heavy on him, even to this day.

2.) How your character sees themselves:

Drake is a cyborg, one of the only built in his setting. He sees himself as more machine than man, and constantly works on improving himself.

3.) How others view them:

Not many people can decipher the mad scientist dwelling beneath the Pale Cathedral. He often speaks in babbling words that are hard to decipher. He's eclectic, off, and doesn't really like interacting with people, but incredibly energetic and bouncy. The guy is a mad man, but a fun mad man.

4.) Their closest relationship (platonic or romantic):

One of the few people Drake has let into his life after the incident with his father is his dear sister, Kage. He has a love-hate relationship with her that mends over the course of the story. Drake blames Kage for killing their mother, father, and sister, who adopted Drake after Zedgyonne's passing. At the same time, he's tasked with her care, trying to remove her Insurgent's Syndrome, a fatal illness slowly taking her sanity. He hates her, but feels pity for her, and hates that he feels such a strong attachment to her.

5.) A major fight scene:

I don't write physical fight scenes a lot. I just don't really like it. That being said, there's a moment in Till Dusk Do We Part where Kage goes into a fit of rage and calls Drake out on every horrible thing he's done to her, comparing him to herself and asking him who the real monster is. The fit causes her to collapse, the strong emotions starting to make her condition worse. I'm playing around with this being one of the last truly coherent things she says to him. It kind of breaks his psyche a little. He just ends up sitting there as she screams, then sitting even more when their eldest brother shows up to grab Kage and make sure she's ok.

6.) End credits song:

Drake fails in the end. He's too late. He finds the cure for Insurgent's Disease mere minutes after Wilfre finally puts Kage out of her misery. Wilfre, resentful and broken, banishes Drake in a fit of hollow anger. It's not a happy ending, and Drake is a broken man by the end of it. The last words I'm thinking he speaks in the book are a soft apology before leaving the last scraps of family he has left to an eternity of emptiness. Hrm hrm well I made the username long before I had a tumblr

I chose things I liked, something cute and something dark, I like sweets- puff pastry is a cute word, I love sweets, crimewatch because I was watching a lot of true at the time (don't do that 😔). At first it was just puffpastrycrime but it sounded pretty basic and idk I'm not all that crazy about true crime, I think I looked up words with crime in them and saw Crimewatch

I guess it's pretty fitting, but I mostly liked how it sounded together it sounds official....plus nobody else had it 🐜👍
