a nostalgic memory from your OC’s childhood?

when he was little, before his younger sister was born, he would sit very still in the garden in hopes that the bunnies and other critters would forget he was there and come closer. this is very cute until he expands on it, like the fact that he would do it almost dawn to dusk in the summer and wouldn't go in for lunch if he could help it, and sometimes being accidentally locked out of the house because no one was paying attention to where he was.

what is holding your OC back to achieve their goals?

An anxiety disorder, and specifically the kind of self-soothing that just makes you engage less and less with things. Don't text people unless they text you first, it's easier not to go to a new place, working yourself to the bone so you're too tired to be fully present in your own life.

how does your OC handle death of someone they know?

pick something helpful to do and get really busy with it. cooking, cleaning, paperwork, whatever. this is good in small doses and was half of the end of his friendship with harry when harry just entirely collapsed and could do nothing for himself after the sudden death of his wife (they would have dealt with it if mal's wife hadn't left him less than a year later and all the grief boiled over into genuine and troubling anger)
