It's been three days since I went to the movies and I'm still thinking about how at the beginning of the movie, when Stone takes Sonic, Tails and Knucles to see Eggman, he admits in the middle of the sermon that Stone is like the person he trusts most in that world and how its obvious that at the end he only says he doesn't care because he's trying to please his grandfather. Because even though he cares about Stone, that doesn't mean that Stone's affection is taken for granted, since from his biological family, affection is supposedly guaranteed.
