Food is in the Art

There are those who associate the month with love, but the only love I was interested in was a love of tasty tasty treats... and boy did we get them! Take Disorderly for example. I’ve been blogging for the ever awesome Rogue since the brand’s inception and she’s never ceased to amaze me, both in concept, art and mentoring (she has been a massive help to Poseidon). For the last few weeks I’ve been logging on to find blog packages stuffed with yummies, each for a different event. There’s her Sweet Spring collection, a brightly coloured array of sugary sweet temptations, from stacked cakes to cones and cupcakes. Available at the aptly named Whimsical and guaranteed to make your head spin. Then of course, there came one of my personal favourite foods. Sushi Time! Served up on pallets, boards and bowls, the selection of sashimi, maki and uramaki is guaranteed to make fish lover’s mouths water (like mine is now...true story). And where can you find this? MadPea’s International Food Fair! Oh yesss, it’s true, a fair that celebrates food from all around the world, selling items with a hungry theme. Designers from all around the grid have come together to create some fascinatingly awesome combinations, from decor to roasts and even snack vending machines. On top of that there’s been live performances ongoing since the 18th, so well worth trotting along to if you having already. But what’s a MadPea event without MadPea items! The Good Ol’ Fashioned Baker’s Gacha is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Cooking ingredients aplenty dished up for the dough based debutante. There’s also MadMeals, collecting even more food stuffs, enough to make any belt bust. On top of that, and a pretty nifty idea if I do say so myself, there’s cooking instructions included with each dish so you can learn how to make these things yourself!
