Okay okay, i am focusing on the current arc but i finally made human puppets again!

anyway anyone who thinks that blue is the poster boy for the "jerk rival" trope when silver is quite literally right there has clearly never paid any attention to any of blue's dialogue in the games, where there are Quite Literally Multiple Instances of blue giving red advice meant to aid him on his journey in the same way that many of the later friendly rivals and neighbors do, even if the tone of it isn't as sickeningly sweet as the later rivals are. blue literally, in the game, waited in the middle of silph co. to challenge red to a battle to make SURE he was ready to take on giovanni because he was worried about him. do some of you genuinely think that blue was so mean to red when they were eleven that red is like. still traumatized by it when they're in their twenties or something.

red and blue's whole journey is actually kind of hilarious because you have professor oak very clearly favoring red to the point where blue isn't even an afterthought and blue's clearly decided that he's sick of it and hates red now but he still shows up to give him advice and check on him to make sure he can actually handle fighting team rocket and whatnot. it's just a constant loop of "yo! red! crawl around in grassy areas to find more pokémon! go visit bill (who gives red the s.s. anne pass) and thank him for creating the P.C.! i waited here in silph co. for you because i knew you'd turn up! you collected all the badges, too? that's cool! i was looking forward to seeing you!" that he buries under another loop of eleven-year-old "I'M SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU LOOK HOW COOL AND STRONG I AM" bullshit because again. he's just up and decided he hates red now because he's clearly & understandably jealous of all the attention professor oak is giving him ("you and your rival used to play nicely together when you were little, but lately, he has become mean." -> pokémon blue manual) but that doesn't change the fact that they've been friends since they were toddlers and that never once goes away no matter WHAT happens between them. do you think blue's phone call ("I'm Blue. Man, this guy called Red brought me down in a heartbeat. I haven't seen him in a long time...I wonder where he is and what he's up to… Come to think of it, you look a little bit like Red. Yeah, you do. Just...Just a little bit. Whatever...") came from nowhere. Do you think that isn't the sound of a fourteen-year-old missing his best friend. Grabbing you all by the shoulders here. Do you think they ever stopped being friends. If you answer wrong you get tossed into a volcano

If BDSP had done new G-Max forms for the Sinnoh dex (like how ORAS did new megas for Hoenn), which mons would you want to get them, and what would you want them to look like? The starters are obvious picks. I can see Torterra looking like the ones in the Detective Pikachu movie. Infernape gets a staff and cloud to complete the Sun Wukong look. Empoleon could get more armor (I think it'd be cool if it looked like it had a bicorne somewhere in the design).

Oh, I would totally love for the Sinnoh starters to get G-max forms that leaned HEAVILY on the deities that inspire them.

Torterra with a whole continent on its back. Kinda like Gmax snorlax, but with perhaps a lake or waterfalls falling from its shell too, to really hit home just how large it is. Maybe some sort of dome with clouds and a moon of its own?

I like the cloud idea for Infernape too and anything inspired by Wukong (maybe him sitting on a huge staff ôwô?). Empoleon I would like something like it riding large waves or if part of himself became like a sea.

Plenty of the Sinnoh mons could've worked with a G-max form if they went for some "godly" theme for it all.

Like, imagine some sort of manticore Luxray? Gashadokuro Frosslass or Dusknoir! An absolute massive Mamoswine with some Jotunn inspirations! Biblicaly accurate Togekiss! A medusa inspired Vespiqueen (with her Combees being the "snakes" in her hair)! Spritomb but as a whole cemetery (or tower) and we can see all the 108 souls that make it! Bigfoot Abomasnow! Jet.Plane.Garchomp!

Before the announcements I was honestly kinda hoping for it ngl. I don't lke G-max as a gimmick much, but I think that the Sinnoh dex would have matched its aesthetics the most.

A shame that literally NO OTHER REGION BEFORE GALAR OTHER THAN STUPID KANTO GOT ANYTHING!!!

Heroes & Villains The DC Animated Universe - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles

Kanto

A New God of the planet Apokolips, Kanto was a high ranking lieutenant in the evil forces of Lord Darkseid.  Kanto was dispatched to earth to help ready the planet for invasion by Apokolips; specifically Kanto was tasked with arranging for the demise of Earth's defender, Superman.

In an effort to fulfill this mission, Kanto supplied the mobster, Bruno Mannheim, with advanced weaponry from Apokolips.  Armed with these powerful weapons surely Mannheim and his goons would be able to take down the Man of Steel.  And it may have turned out that way had it not been for the timely aid of Inspector Dan Turpin of the SCU.  Turpin distracted Mannheim long enough for Superman to turn the tide and he made short work of the mobsters despite their sophisticated weaponry.  

A bemused Kanto left returning to Darksied and reporting that a heavier hand would be needed in taking on Superman and conquering the earth.

The indomitable Michael York provided the voice for Kanto, with the villainous New God first appearing in the twelfth episode of the first season of Superman: The Animated Series, 'Tools of The Trade.’

another line of blue's where he's being genuinely helpful to red because he physically cannot help himself is in the s.s. anne getting the cut HM: "I heard there was a CUT master on board. But, he was just a seasick, old man! But, Cut itself is really useful! You should go see him! Smell ya!" and i also think it's really funny how in the beginning of the game he tells red that he's gonna tell daisy to not lend him a town map and then red goes to daisy anyway and she gives him a town map with absolutely no mention of blue having told her otherwise (not even to say it in an exasperated older sister way, like "oh blue was being annoying and told me not to give you one but don't mind him. here's your map!") so i legitimately think he didn't actually tell her that. he was just being a little shit. of course daisy's gonna give him a fucking map. the entirety of rby is just blue repeatedly almost defaulting to treating red like he usually does (aka friendly. because they've been friends since they were little) before remembering "oh right i hate him now because he's taking all of gramps' attention" and covering it up with "nyeh nyeh you suck i'm awesome" behavior. it's so fucking funny
