“Curtis!” Mike shouts, “Get your ass down from there!”

The whole crew was having their lunch break, because after working on godly hours in the sun they really didn’t need someone to pass out. And because no one had thought it to be a good idea to bring their own lunch, Mike- being the boss- had bought them practically the whole menu from Dairy Queen.

They had went back to the house they were working on. Luckily, the house belonged to Sam, one of the workers. So they were aloud to eat inside if they wanted. And they wanted.

Everyone was inside to get away from the sun, because no one wants heatstroke or sunburns. They had the radio playing while a game of poker was going on, placing bets on extra food.

Or, at least, almost everyone was inside. Everyone but the kid- Darrel Curtis.

Logically, Mike knew, Darrel was probably outside working or picking up the mess that’s been left on the ground. He had a.. terrible tendency to overwork himself. Once, Darrel so clearly had a horrible migraine and being in the sun was certainly no help. But, he still refused to go home. And then he had passed out.

So. That had nearly given a few heart attacks.

Mike knew that the reason was because of money problems after his parents died, the responsibility of having to take care of his younger siblings falling directly on his shoulders.

Mike hates that he had to watch Darrel destroy himself over and over just so he can keep a roof over their head and food on their plates.

He’s a good kid, he just needs to learn how to be one.

Apparently, no one knows where Darrel went. Only that he’s somewhere outside. Which, helpful.

So, being the boss, Mike goes out looking for him.

And there he is. Head hanging upside down off the roof, sucking on a lollipop like he’s not about to crush his head open with one wrong move. Eyes close and tapping his fingers to a beat.

(Distantly, Mike remembers Darrel doing the same thing often years ago. From before his parents passed).

“Curtis!” Mike shouts, “Get your ass down from there!”

And that certainly grabs his attention.

Darrel’s eyes snap open, his fingers freeze. And then, once he registers that it’s just Mike yelling at him, Darrel gives him a smile and shifts down a little more. Giving Mike another unwanted heart attack.

“Hey Mr. Cooper!” Darrel shouts, taking the lollipop he probably got off of Alex out of his mouth. “Roof’s coming along nice, ain’t it!?”

“Son, get your ass on the ground!” Mike yells. “I ain’t needing you to break your skull!”

Darrel laughs. “I’m fine! Nothing I haven’t done before!”

The front door opens, and Alex steps out. “Mike, you good? You keep yellin’-“ he freezes when he spots Darrel, mirroring the face Mike probably made.

“Hey Alex-“

“Don’t ‘hey Alex’ me! Get down from there- are you crazy!?”

“I’m not crazy,” Darrel says, having the fucking gull to roll his eyes. And Mike wants the slap him.

“Well you sure as hell are acting it!” Mike yells, about to grab the latter and pull Darrel down himself.

Darrel shrugs and plops the lollipop back into his mouth, closes his eyes and starts tapping his fingers again.

Alex sighs, “Do you want me to grab the latter?” He asks, slouched and pointing towards it.

Mike bites his cheek, crossing his arms. “..give him a while,” he says.

Alex squints at him, “Really?”

“I don’t think he’s been this relaxed all month. Let him stay a little longer.”

Alex hums. His face splits into a smile, “Remember when he used to do this all the time a few years back? When his pop still worked here?”

Mike chuckles at the memories. “Haven’t done it in a year, has he?”

“Don’t think so.”

“I can hear y’all talking about me!” Darrel shouts down.

“No we ain’t!” Alex shouts up, cupping his hands around his mouth.

“Sure you ain’t!”

I just watched the scene in the cemetery, and I really don't believe he does. He's scared. He doesn't know what to do. He wants, desperately, for someone to tell him what to do, but he knows there's no one, and they need to do something. And they need to do it soon.

He was saying his last goodbyes because he doesn't think he'll be back to talk to Will and Derrig again, as they are. He thinks the next time they do, it'll be in the afterlife.

Stargate: The Next Generation

My (half formed) idea for a Stargate continuation series.

So it would start off with Jack’s clone (played by Michael Welch), who is now a Colonel in the Air Force, finally being assigned a place at Stargate Command. He’s being given leadership over a new SG-1 team.

The only other person who I’ve decided on being part of this team would be Rya’c (played by Neil Denis) whose taking his fathers place on the team!

Cassandra (played by Katie Stuart) would have followed in her mom’s footsteps and become a doctor. I’m not sure given the timeline if she would be at the point in her career where she could be the bases CMO when the series starts. But I definitely want her to be the base doctor who treats the new SG-1 team whenever they get injured!

I also know I want Hailey (played by Elizabeth Rosen) to be there as well but she wouldn’t be part of the new SG-1 team cause by this point in the timeline she’d have a much higher rank than Jack’s clone. Maybe she’s like the new head scientist of the base.

I know we need at least two other characters to fill out the new SG-1, but I just can’t think of who I’d want those characters to be. Wether they be all new characters made up solely for this series. Or old characters from the original series. All I know is I kind of want both of these characters to be female. That way we can have 2 male SG-1 members and 2 female SG-1 members.

Daniel is now in charge of Atlantis. He cameos every now and then.

Sam is the general in charge of the SGC. She keeps a picture of the original Sg-1, and a picture of Fraiser and General Hammond on her desk. Every now and then when there’s a scene of her in her office the camera pans to show these two pics. (And maybe at the end of the first episode they do a little tribute “in memory of Don S. Davis”)

Jack has retired by this point, he’s living his best life at his cabin fishing all the time, and him and Sam have finally been able to get married!!!! Sam often talks about him and how he’s enjoying his retirement.

Teal’c is the leader of the free Jaffa and makes occasional cameos to help out the new SG-1 on their missions and to just spend some time with his son ever now and then.

Vala makes occasional cameos. She and Daniel eventually got married and she splits her time between Atlantis and traveling around the galaxy causing chaos.

Mitchel is a general now and he’s in charge of the Beta Site. We get cameos from him once in a while whenever the new SG-1 has to go to the Beta site for one reason or another.

And for the new bad guy of the series. The Furlings finally make an appearance! We know they disappeared from our galaxy a long time ago and we were never given an actual reason for that. I’m gonna say for this series they went off to either a completely different galaxy or to another dimension. And now they’ve returned to this galaxy/dimension, and they bring news with them of the new big bad that’s coming. They’ve been fighting this enemy for generations in this other galaxy/dimension the whole time they’ve been gone, trying to prevent it from making its way to our galaxy/dimension. But they’ve failed and the big bad is on its way and this galaxy/dimension needs to prepare itself. But now we have the Furlings here for the rest of this new series helping the Tau’ri to defeat this new bad guy!

So was anyone gonna subconsciously let me know/get prepared for The Devil’s Playhouse Remaster came out today or was I supposed to just find out from someone telling me out of complete nowhere.
