I actually don't know what my god tier is as of now! (←fake Homestuck fan spotted). Every time I take the test, I get a different result and I'm not savvy enough to classpect myself... That being said, last time I got Rogue of Heart (which I'm not too sure about) and you wouldn't catch me dead in a sleeveless shirt and leggings!!! So yes, I would absolutely change my godly pajamas into something more baggy and comfy ✨

52. What character interactions would you have liked to see/see more of?

I would have liked to see more beta troll interactions in general, but to be more specific I would have reaaaally liked to see how Eridan interacted with the trolls he actually had a pretty decent relationship with, like Karkat and Kanaya. And more of Jake and Jade!

57. Quick! You gotta prototype your kernel sprite, what are you dropping in there?

I'm not sure about the second prototyping because I would realistically struggle A Lot with the decision and I don't have ashes or meaningful stuff like that laying around, but for the first one maybe a huge blue teddy bear I have! (because anthropomorphic objects make for better guides, obviously!!!)

80. If you could uncanonize one thing and one thing only, what would it be?

I would definitely uncanonize Karkat not godtiering because it makes me sad to even think about...

85. Do you have any crackships or rare ships?

I'm super mega normal about ships, so this is a plain and boring "not really"! I could probably be swayed by most ships if the characterization was good enough, though!

87. Do you have any voice claims for the cast?

Not voice claims per se, but most trolls have a distinct voice in my head, which I think might have been influenced by cosplay panels and comic dubs back in the day. But yeah, I'm going to say Octopimp for Dave because his Dave rap changed me as a person. And Ke$ha for Roxy because it just fits!

Laios -FC leader because no one else wants to do it -Started at Paladin, swapped to Samurai once Nemari and Shuro left the FC and Senshi joined. Senshi won't play anything but Warrior and they needed another DPS. -Owns every lore book -Always in the chat during hunt trains -Working on blue mage but it's going slow because nobody wants to help him -Ask him about his Lightwardens designs (do not) -Favorite Character: You think it's gonna be Hermes but it's Midgardsormr. (This is lies, he cried during the dad arc in Shadowbringers.)

Trey/Vil is a ship that started with a “hmm”, but the more I think about it the more I like it, to be honest, and the fact that they are the epitome of that exact thing is one of the reasons, Anon… Watching them is very fun sometimes, especially when Vil either flirts with Trey or complains about him being a horrible man that spoils people rotten lol We have a couple of posts about them.

Also YES about Ortho/Malleus! This + that one vignette in which Ortho helped Malleus to find some information in the library, and Malleus had his first experience with search engines lol They are such an odd couple, I would love to see them interact more.

Both of these ships are very fun~ We have a lot of stuff with Floyd/Jamil, more than I expected, to be honest… And nothing for Ace/Jamil, but I do love their dynamic and how clingy Ace could be with a senpai sometimes.

I don’t really remember why we started kind of shipping Ace and Idia, maybe it was because of their master chef thing together, but this is a combo of Ace being a clingy sly kohai once again + him probably thinking that Idia is genuinely cool at times… They also use the same slang every now and then, and I find it amusing.

To be honest, to me Vil feels like too perfect of a student that learns everything super quickly and catches flirtatious advances without any problem. Ironically, they are such a perfect fit for this kind of special training that it’s almost like they aren’t each other’s type.

But who knows, maybe Crewel just already did play a role in how perfect Vil is…

crankthatfrank is a youtuber who had his peak of popularity in 2015-2017 making what was described as “bandom crack” content. a lot of yeemo, cheez wiz, frerard, etc. i personally wasn’t a fan of his content (i think i was just too old to be in his demographic (and i thought it was cringey)), but he was fairly successful within that community. i don’t really know how else to describe his content other than you had to be there.

in 2019, he interviewed ryan, which was actually a really good interview! it was very lighthearted without being too silly and off the wall, like bryan stars interviews were. it was such a pleasant surprise, especially considering the way ryan stans are starved for content. throughout the interview, ryan holds z in his arms the whole time while she cosplays as a corpse so that was interesting. also, ryan revealed his favorite song off of afycso is i constantly thank god for esteban. he said 2020 was going to be the year for the comeback.

that was a lie.

so it’s unclear if the hair was in cookies or cupcakes because sources differ, but the sentiment is the same either way. in an interview from 2013, brendon said that in the early days of the band, some fans baked them cookies, and brendon and their merch guy ate them [i]. brendon saw a hair in the first cookie, but kept eating them anyway. he says, “i kept pulling hairs out of my mouth and after no.10 i asked the merch guy if he was pulling hairs out of his mouth and he was” [i]. there turned out to be hairs in every single cookie. ryan also talked about in the paige and friends podcast, which is the next entry [ii].

paige and friends podcast:

also in 2019, ryan featured on the paige and friends podcast, run by paige elkington (ryan really had us fooled for a minute there that 2020 WOULD be his year). they talked some about the panic! and the young veins days, dekc, his sobriety, his absence from the internet, hockey, politics, amongst other things. this was another great “interview” and a fun look into some slice of life things from ryan, so i also recommend giving it a listen here [ii].

chuck palahniuk:

this is one of ryan’s favorite authors – definitely his favorite in the early days of panic! (he is also my favorite author, as is the natural course of being a ryan ross stan). some of his works include: invisible monsters, fight club, choke, and survivor. his writing is primarily satirical with a very distinct voice.

his works were referenced a lot in afysco. time to dance is about invisible monsters, and the song title “the only difference between martyrdom and suicide is press coverage” is a quote from survivor. some of ryan’s other songwriting on that album is evidently inspired by palahniuk’s style of writing.

pet salamander:

this was one of ryan’s bands before panic!. spencer and brent were also in this band, along with another member named trevor. they were often called a blink 182 cover band, but spencer stated that this actually isn't true. they just practiced a lot of blink 182 songs when learning how to play [iii].

their website is still up, and it includes some pictures of the band and each member. it also even contains ryan's old email, discussed in tier 3, at the bottom.

his other band isn't on the iceberg, but it was called the summer league. it was basically panic! before panic! actually existed. their sound wasn't similar to what panic!'s was, but it was essentially all the same members.

kanye west stan:

stan is a very loosely used term here, but ryan has said that he likes kanye’s music, and he owns some stuff from his clothing line.

taxidermy:

as you can see in some of ryan’s Instagram posts, he has a lot of taxidermy in his house.

hooters:

in 2010, ryan and brendon ran into each other at a hooters. if i’m not mistaken, i think this is the the last picture we have of them together.

rydan:

this refers to ryan and his friend, dan keyes. ryan posted about him a lot in the 2010s, and he was a member of dead end kids as well. i think the mashup of their names mostly refers to their friendship, but there are people who think they genuinely dated. this tweet here, as well as the replies, references that [v]. it’s also discussed in this tumblr post [vi].

club hockey:

ryan plays club hockey. he actually started playing hockey as a child, and he talks about his love for hockey in the paige and friends podcast.

alex greenwald:

i’ve already mentioned him before in this iceberg, but alex is one of ryan’s good friends and the frontman of phantom planet (you may know this band from the OC theme song). he played with the young veins sometimes, and he played with z’s former band, phases. we’ll talk about him some more in later entries as well.

helena vestergaard:

this is another one of ryan’s ex girlfriends. they dated in 2015, and he first posted about her on instagram in july. his last post of her was in december that year. i don’t really have much to say about this relationship besides she seemed like a really nice girl. these days she has 2 kids. she also used to date anthony kiedis from red hot chili peppers, which is very interesting.

so not too long after ryan left panic!, a picture came out of him with cocaine on a tray in front of him. this was very controversial, and he even commented on it explaining himself here [vii]. i don’t really understand why he had to explain himself though. i am no means a drug apologist (i’m literally straight edge) and i know drugs are bad, but i don’t think he did anything wrong. in the post i linked above, he says he didn’t realize the coke was in the picture, which may or not be true, but if it is, then he might not have even done it.

all he did was be surrounded by beautiful women and do cocaine. what is so wrong with that.

myrtle beach:

this is a ryden entry and basically a theory that ryan and brendon hooked up.

on june 24th, 2006 panic! played the house of blues in myrtle beach, south carolina (and i have been to this venue because i’m from sc…). after the show, panic!, the supporting acts, and crew went skinny dipping at the beach.

greta said this in an interview about it [viii]:

Q: Tell us about your craziest touring experience.

On the 2006 Panic Tour, we played the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach [JUNE 24TH]. After the show, most of the bands and crew walked a mile to the beach and, having not brought our swimsuits, decided to swim in underwear or totally nude. Bob and I opted to skinny dip and, at one point, he was trying to get back to the shore but the waves were crashing over him and he was gasping for breath. I yelled to him, 'Bob, are you going to live? As much as I want to help you, we are both naked so I can't.' (Would have been far too awkward). Thankfully, he survived in one glorious piece.

this also lead to the idea that summer was a very important motif for ryden; any references to the season in their lyrics or other postings meant they were talking about each other.

another part that people often cite as proof in that in this interview, the interviewer says they claim brendon is a virgin on stage every night, and ryan says “not anymore” at 01:36. so people think brendon lost his virginity to ryan.

and then the night of the show of the dancers on tour with them, dream, posted this on her lj [viii]:

It’s our last night in Florida and let me tell you… this finally turned into a crazy rock tour… lots of shenanigans happened tonight… but I’ll save this story for the memoirs! Every night I stand on stage and tell the crowd that Brendon is a virgin… let’s just put it this way… it ain’t true!!!!

since this was posted the night of the mb show, she was talking about the florida show, which would already debunk that brendon could’ve lost it to ryan after the mb show. she also said in another post the next night that they met some spirited girls at the show and more than 20 of them went to the beach that night [viii].

honestly, there is no true supporting evidence to prove that anything sexual or romantic happened between them. both of them were probably talking about the girls they met at the show, or one of the other 20 people who were there.

seattle:

another ryden theory i fear.

so the story goes that on the night of ryan’s 21st birthday, keltie threw him a party at pete wentz’s bar. brendon couldn’t attend because he was in seattle (people theorized it was because he was too young to drink). after the party was over, ryan left keltie alone in their hotel in the middle of the night to fly out to see brendon. they went to eat at a diner together, and a fan spotted them, giving us this picture.

this was allegedly what ryan wrote northern downpour about, such as the lines, “i missed your skin when you were east. you clicked your heels and wished for me.” also, rainy seattle is in the north.

when i was a ryden truther, i always said that this was the one ryden incident there was not a no homo explanation for. however, that is not true.

panic! was playing a festival in seattle a couple of days later. in fact, there is an interview from august 31, the day after ryan’s birthday and the day before the show, in which they’re wearing the same outfits from that picture.

the northern downpour theory also doesn’t make sense because ryan was in the east, not brendon. and ryan wrote the song.

when i say that halsey and i are spiritually connected, i mean it.

Heh, that reminds me. Homestuck had such a wide reach that people started making versions of the main characters including the trolls as PoC. So one time during a point in the story where the teens are being teens and can't speak with each other or share emotions because they're EMBARRASSED ABOUT THEIR EMOTIONS! You know...normal teenage stuff. One of them licks a magical lollipop (I shit you not) turns into clown version of themselves with flourscent pink hair and eye hurtingly bright clothing and flies to the friend they can't speak their feelings to to confess and feel happy and joyous. And when they arrive, the friend is understandably like, "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON" and then they lean forward and are like, "I AM FEELING PERFECTLY CAUCASIAN" well...if you don't know Homestuck was kind of the Undertale of its time. So a feeding frenzy occurred and they eventually changed it to, "I AM FEELING PEACHY".

Homestuck was a fucking ride...any way after turning three more people into Clownsonas, one of which it didn't even change much, for all intent and purpose, they wake up in a sugar hang over sometime later. Having been captured by the big bad two.

Anyway this sets up a dead pirate woman, a clown in a god tier cosplay, Sea Hitler, a skynet possessed girl, a brainwashed half dog girl to fuck everything up. As most of the main cast is killed. As the dead pirate woman uses her telepathy powers to fling planets into each to try and kill Sea Hitler but Sea Hitler removes the ring keeping dead pirate woman alive and proceeds to break her neck for the attempt. Main boy has to learn to use his powers to pull pranks on one justice seeking blind alien woman to keep her from killing a spider woman and set the timeline to a path where they actually win against an incel alien boy complete with shitty anime draws, obsession with guns, Peaky Blinders, and getting jacked after having his soul ripped out and shoved into a puppet.

hmmm i'm not sure, actually! i've read several fics (which to be clear i enjoyed thoroughly) where he's like HACHI MACHI when he sees it. buuuuut i can also see him rolling his eyes and being like. really? you, the sexiest person i know, my literal gf, think you have to stoop to something so obvious and base in order for me to find you attractive? scoff. bush league, sweetums. be better.

what i think would really get him going is if you listened to what he was going to dress up as (bc let's be real, he'd be talking about it for months ahead of time) and you did something to match. like there's 100% no way to argue this is a Couple's Costume kind of match. especially if you don't tell him, and you just show up and then go stand next to him, wrapping your arms around his like yep, this is my spot, now where's the party.

i always view donnie as having a huge little bit of a thing about being clingy and a touch performative with his affections (i mean. my god. look at how he treats his purple satin jacket and think about this boy with a girlfriend.), so if you were to surprise him by all but putting a billboard/blinking neon lights/giant red arrow on your ass that says Property Of Donatello Hamato, yeah. that's what's really gonna make his jaw drop.

ADHD+feedback=agony

This is going to be a long and possibly boring text post about art and posting art online, with some self-reflection on top. I don’t usually do these and it’s been ages since I’ve actually written any kind of a longer text, but I really need to put these thoughts onto imaginary digital paper. I’d appreciate if you read it through and if you could give me any form of feedback on this! Your own experiences and etc. I do art because it’s a part of my ADHD-ridden personality, this desire to create always buzzing inside, it’s neither and both work and hobby for me, something I love and hate the most in life, because it tortures me as much as it fills me with joy. So if you ask me ‘hey, what’s your purpose for drawing? What’s your goal, your endgame?’ the answer is really ‘there’s none, it’s more of a curse, it’s just something that makes me alive so I can’t help but continue, cause if I stop it feels like I’d vanish or lose myself completely’. I can’t say I’ve done all other forms of media to express myself, but I’ve tried a lot of things (poetry, photography, music, cosplay, crafting and so on and so forth) and nothing comes close to drawing. And I’m not even sure if ‘expressing myself’ is a right way to put it because it’s not that my art is any kind of deep and meaningful, I just illustrate plots and characters I find appealing in some way or another, for the most part. Now, I don’t consider myself to be a professional, but I also have 20+ years of experience at this point so I might as well be, depending on how you look at it. All self-beating aside, I like to think that my art is at somewhat plausible level at the moment? I am proud of how far I’ve come despite everything and I can still see a lot of progress happening, and god knows I work my ass off to continue improving. The main thing I want to address here is how erratic and incomprehensible my online feedback has been recently and how it makes my brain perform loops of dissociation.  I wish I didn’t care for feedback at all, but sadly I do,  it’s what gives me the most dopamine. I’ve recently discovered it’s yet-another ADHD thing. Nothing else in life makes me as fulfilled as seeing other people enjoy my pictures, it’s just pure joy without any downsides to it. It’s really not about financial gain from art or fame and popularity, but just creating something new and then seeing people have a positive emotional response to it is what lights up my life and helps to get through all the shit it throws at me. And considering that my family is mostly completely disinterested in what I create (which has been hurting me more than I can describe since I was a little baby), and my paranoia makes it hard to accept compliments from friends and partners, online feedback has been the best medicine for me. I used to tell myself one day I will get good enough to have some following that would be excited about my art and give me constant feedback in return, because that’s what I always saw happen to other artists. I never aimed to be the most popular or to achieve certain numbers of likes, just being ‘good, on average’ was the ideal for me as long as I’ve had a constant crowd behind. I thought, a lot of musicians of the past don’t really make any more new hit songs, but they still can gather a crowd of long-term fans at a concert, right? Once you make it to some level of popularity you never really go into a complete oblivion, as long as you’re still working your craft and putting it out there? And there have been times in my life where I thought that the moment has finally happened and was now my reality, that my art was finally well enough to climb into ‘popular post’ tiers, and that I have gathered enough audience to have a stable interest in my publications, but it never lasted too long. I understand how social media work, how people change hobbies and fandoms, and how the world around us changes altogether, but recently the ride has been too wild for me to comprehend. Although I have a significant number of followers on all my main social media (tumblr, twitter, IG) (and a lot of those followers are fresh newcomers too), the feedback has just been... all over the place. I understand that I’m dipping into different fandoms here and there (then again, the vast majority of them are extremely popular on their own, so you’d think that should help the situation too?) and I’m experimenting with my art styles, but no matter how hard I try there’s just no consistency. I post something that I’m sure will do well and it does. I post something I’m sure will do well again and it completely flops. I post some scribes for fun and it goes super high. I post another funny thing and there’s no response. One post gets 10k likes, the next one gets 30 likes. Then the next one gets 5k. Then 15. I feel like I have no control over it at all, no understanding. It feels like playing a roulette. Just up to chance every time. It’s the same on all social platforms so I don’t think I could attribute it to algorithms only. How can I ever try to invest time and energy into bigger projects if I can’t even estimate if it has a chance of being any sort of likeable? Is my art just extremely non-consistent on its own and I just don’t notice? What’s going on??? I’m entirely grateful for big numbers but I’d really rather have them spread through most things I post? Of course some publications are going to be more popular than others, it’s perfectly fine, but while 300 likes on some posts and 600 likes on other is understandable, the gaps between 10k+ and less-than-30 are just too extreme? Especially when they happen one after the other? I swear I never see this with other people and it just makes my brain intolerable. For all those of you who have reached the bottom of this rant, thank you! If you have any thoughts to share or similar experiences, please do let me know! My main concern here is how to battle this feeling of am-I-going-insane-or-what, and not the numbers of likes. Finding any way out of this would be good because it has really interfered with my art process lately and I hateeee it!

Sooo you were a Homestuck? Tell me about your experience being a Homestuck

I was 15 and unmedicated for one so it was Quite The Experience online but I tended not to scour tumblr tags because they were really disorganized and dumb as shit. Terezi and Sollux were my fave trolls and Jade was my fave kid (even though I related more to John/June). I used to sit in my living room on my laptop and read 3 whole acts during christmas break my freshman year of high school and got really invested.

Sollux was my first real cosplay and as you can see I just taped paper onto my shirt. I actually made the horns in my ceramics class and hot glued them to my mom’s headband which I then broke trying to take them off and felt so guilty I hid the headband in my room under a bunch of old stuffed animals

After we moved though I met one of my best friends I’ve ever had whom disappeared off the face of the earth about 6 years ago and I haven’t heard from her since then. She had some problems at home and ran away a few times and I miss the shit out of her. We once went to the ren fair in oklahoma and I went in a god tier cosplay she helped me make but didn’t wear hers because “she didn’t finish it” but I think she just wanted to not look like an idiot at the idiot fair.

Despite my hardest efforts I never finished reading the comic. It was way too long and I got much too depressed to continue with my interests after a time period but I clinged to ghostbusters out of my homestuck interest and now here I am. With too much knowledge of dan aykroyd’s webbed toes and bill murray’s beef with Just About Everyone.

Imagine playing a vampire who got turned in like 2012. Just perpetually stuck in rawr xD pounces on you GLOMP Homestuckcore. They were like way too into cosplaying nepeta and they still wear basically just different versions of that same fit in public just without the horns. Skin is so pale it basically counts as grey anyway. Somehow missed the twilight fandom but has very strong feelings about superwholock and supernatural. Self identifiers as the "mom friend" but actually just usually ends up virtue signalling. Has only recently come to terms with JKR being a terf but refuses to take down the Harry Potter posters. Still uses "Slytherin" and "moirail" in conversations. Will not shut the fuck up about how subs are superior than dubs the moment anything even remotely related to Japanese culture is brought up. Has not seen any anime that was released after 2013, almost exclusively watches 90s anime on dvd no matter how many times the ghouls explain Crunchyroll. Lack of their humanity means they never learned why fetishizing gay men was bad. Hand stitched patches on their Jacket include but are not limited to:

Ooof, you're probably expecting really deep analysis to accompany these likes but my pleasure is not always that deep so please lower your expectations! I'm usually listening and looking at the animations for easter eggs and vibes, if anything, I don't religiously look up translations. Some of your questions are so funny to me, I'm sorry to disappoint if this wasn't what you were expecting!

Off the top of my head, I feel like JJK has no misses? Hitting different vibes but nothing that feels like a theme song. Don't get me wrong, I love a good "Gotta Catchem All" or Pokemon Rap, too, but I prefer songs that don't feel out of place if it just popped up on shuffle, you know?

KaiKai Kitan - THE TROLLING.

Lost in Paradise - Catchy AF. Plus, this was as close as we were getting to a filler episode. I love how "simple" the illustration style is but the animations of each character have so much personality in their movements. Plus, provided a solid cozy cosplay on the last day of cons when you want to dress up but don't want to be encumbered as you hit the dealer room and artist alley.

Give it Back - even without the translation, this is sad. The animation is sad. The idea of this day that never happened when you think about the canon timeline is sad. It inspired a mediocre lil oneshot because why would they do this to me, specifically? This, of course, is animating something so realistic but ethereal.

Ichizu - okay, so maybe I looked up the translation to this one too and just.. SatoSugu.

Where Our Blue Is and Lantern - make me want to burst into flames? Also, I had a no-sleep-epiphany the other night where, if Geto was the last blue spring of Gojo's youth and blue is the basis of Gojo's strength then... I failed to make a sensical connection because I clearly don't rest and I'm unwell. It's currently 3:45AM. But it was something along the lines of equating that Gojo is not at full strength without Geto.

Specialz - this animation is just. 😘👌🏾 Also the breakdown at "I love you, baby". Nevermind that it is synonymous with tragedy and trauma. King Gnu clearly must have known that when signing on since a great deal of JJK songs are theirs

More Than Words - Again, simple illustration but also capturing this idea of youth for the trio which... after S2 is so *melt emoji*?? I think the theme of romanticizing life and their connection to one another while actively contrasting with murder and mayhem is so funny to me. 🥲

Def more of a casual enjoyer for the music on MHA. Especially since the brain rot for this series didn't set in for a very long time so I had to go back and look up each song.

Peace Sign - my niece and nephew dance to this song dramatically and, knowing none of the words confidently, sing anyway. I think it's the instrumentals and the clapping that does it for me haha

Odd Future - lowkey meets the "appears on shuffle without being too embarrassing" requirement but, with MHA being as pervasive as it is... will not beat the weird kid allegations if this pops up because I think it's recognizable

Merry Go Round - That "Hey Brother Listen" popped off so does the crescendo.

Hitamuki - I just like the graphical switch up to the comic book style because isn't it so silly and cute just to preface some trauma??

North Wind - are you kidding me? Showing all these critical moments from Deku's first. person. perspective. to elevate how important the people shown are when we've had largely the whole story from his actual first person perspective? As he's running to catch up to everything the story has built up to like running through a museum exhibit. Inspired. Beautiful. No notes.

Datte Atashi no Hero - just... fantasy AU. Song I can do without but who am I to ignore the best AU illustrated and animated? A nobody, that's who.

Believe - Hawks really said "The next time the cherry blossoms fall, I hope we will all be smiling" and then everything went to shit.

Shout Baby - less song more visual commentary. Hero or villain, it all started where Class 1A is right now, some of it even sooner (like with Tenko).

Alright just watched Wonder Woman and a few thoughts, mostly criticisms really. 

As an introductory movie for Wonder Woman in the now defunct DCEU, pretty good, Wonder Woman is the badass she was made to be (when she's not acting like a naive child) and the fight scenes top tier.

But no, that’s not how the mythology goes, (apart from Zues treating Ares like garbage) I’m sure The Mythology Guy would have a few words to say about this movie.  

Ares...he’s the God of War not the God of Causing War, considering the rest of the pantheon he’s one of the least problematic, that should tell you a lot. Him just being there, not causing the war, would have been enough, much like death he goes where he is called.  

Also, God of War, I picture him as a testosterone fueled manly man not...Professor Lupin in Sauron cosplay.  

Ok this takes place during WWI, The War to End All Wars, yeah they wanted to be thematic but for those that have a basic understanding of history, war pretty famously didn’t end with that war. We all know what that infamous armistice led to. Also Wonder Woman was invented in 1941 during WWII, so what was this Wonder Woman doing during that time? 

They completely threw out a good message, for things like war you can’t blame it all on one person or solve it by eliminating one person, it’s systematic machinations from all sides with all different motivations. This movie takes place during 1918 and not one mention of the 1917 Christmas truce. Then they replace it with some love can defeat evil/war bull crap.

Dr.Poison...since they already used an actual German General Ludendorff, why not use the actual Dr.Poison, the father of toxic gas and chemical warfare of WWI, Fritz Haber? Either use real historical figures as bad guys for your historical fiction action movie or don’t. On top of it we don’t even see her comeuppance.

At the end when the battle was over and all the Germans took of their gas masks showing their faces yeah I see what you did there, they are/became human again.

Author commentary: I tried to get at least a little use out of every ridiculous outfit variant I came up with, because what is the damn point of making those outfits if the characters aren't gonna wear them? So that's why this scene exists, where Jade appears to be cosplaying as Iron Man while talking to an alien lesbian about their mutual reproductive responsibilities. Maybe it seems preposterous out of context? No, actually, I just decided it doesn't at all, it's fine. If nothing else it gives Jade a handy way of flying, which in a story about building super tall houses, turns out to be an important perk. Everybody gets ways of flying, and they get increasingly casual in doing so, like this panel here making no big deal out of it. When John got a rocket pack it was treated like a big development, but everything after that was sort of hand-waved as "oh yeah they can fly now btw." Dave got Unreal Air, Jade is Iron Man, and Rose can just plain fly because magic or whatever. Now that John is a god tier, he can just plain fly too. It's like in Dragon Ball how eventually dudes could just start flying here and there, and at some point you were seen as a world class stooge if you couldn't fly.
