Notice to Classpecting Blogs

For years now, I've compiled useful information from other classpecting accounts onto my computer. When classpecting, I often use this wealth of information as a reference guide.

I have since discovered, to my horror, that a large percentage of content I have saved no longer exists on the internet (due to the deletion of blogs, art accounts, etc).

That being said, though it is wildly unorganized, I am sharing my google drive with the rest of the classpecting/Homestuck community! I hope you are able to find use in it, or, at the very least, make sense of it.

Blog Rules!

Submit me a Classpect and I'll do my best to analyze its powers!

I don't do personality analyses based on Classpects as that's lead to some really toxic ideas in the fandom: Chiefly that all Bards and Princes are evil, as well as all Rage players being unstable, mentally ill murderers.

However if you send in a character I will do my best to assign them a Classpect!

Lands are extremely personal and tailored to the individual player, and thus cannot be properly assigned by me.

Weapon assignment will not be a thing I do as Classpects do not determine that.

I WILL BE USING MY HEADCANONS WHEN DOING THIS, THIS WHOLE BLOG IS INTERPRETATION, DO NOT JUMP ME.

I think the hardest part about classpecting this group is going to be that I've read the whole manga but only half the show has come out. I'm going to avoid spoilers to the best of my ability for the aniem-only folks.

I guess I might just have to imply some of the stuff for later lol.

Anyways, let's dive right in starting with Marcille Donato!!

Our elven friend here plays a very interesting role in the little group! With Falin's absence, she's the only mage in the party (I suppose you could count Laios one he starts learning) and she's also quite often the "Straight man" of the group, being the voice of reason amongst a bunch of weirdos. That being said she has her fair share of wackiness! For one thing, she specializes in dark magic! It seems she mainly knows how to make stuff explode, some healing spells, some miscellaneous buff magic, and then a whole bunch of forbidden mumbo jumbo.

She is shown to be both caring and intelligent and is instrumental on the quest to rescue Falin. Probably her most notable moment comes when she finally gets the chance to employ some of that illegal magic and revive Falin.

With that out of the way:

Marcille is...

A Bard Of Doom!!!!

One who destroys [Doom]/one who invites destruction through [Doom]

Now, if you're done laughing, let's dig into this a bit more. Marcille very succinctly fulfills her role as Bard Of Doom, give me a chance to convince you. Take a look at Falin's revival. Marcille brings her back from the dead by employing forbidden magic; but she doesn't just undo her death, she undoes a death that is by and far insurmountable. This resurrection, whether purely her fault or not, results in Falin becoming a chimera and falling under Thistle's control. Shortly thereafter, Falin decimates the combined might of 4 adventuring parties.

As fun as these huge, all inclusive examples are, I also quite enjoy the more minor aspects that allude to her classpect. They're everywhere! For example: Marcille's distaste for eating monsters. Senshi's focus on the dungeon as an ecosystem. Marcille's constant resistance to participating in cycle this showcases how she continually tries to destroy the aspect of Doom in herself. She keeps herself removed from the cycle of life in the dungeon as much as possible.

There are more examples later on and unfortunately, I can't really go over them without spoiling the hell out of people. It really is a shame, but that's just how it is. So if you're anime-only, you'll just have to trust me. And if you've read the manga, then I'm sure you can instantly figure out what I'm talking about.

literally any time i read anything on narrative construction im like oh yeah a perfect example of this is how the hunger games does it. like a good story should answer the question of “what does the character want and why can’t they have it” like well katniss wants to save prim and she can’t have it bc the conditions of the oppressive regime make that imposible no matter how much the stakes keep getting raised and that’s the central question the entire trilogy is concerned with and it’s the driving force for every single one of her actions. easy! and perfect. it’s the first line of the book. it’s flawless.

first of all, these are all god-tier songs for me. that being said, the storytelling of come back be here sending out a beacon for someone to come back to you. a message in a bottle. into the way i loved you of being with someone new but longing for this lost love. RIGHT INTO THE BRIDGE OF TOSOTD. one with female pronouns. it is crazy to watch this unfold in real time.

This is my favourite shot of Shin Jae Ha in the entirety of season 2.

As an actor myself, I can't stop thinking about it because - LOOK. He is insane for capturing all that on his face in one go. Do you see how it's brimming with conflict and visceral emotions that look only barely contained???

But that's not even the best part.

This scene is the climax of his character arc. And the fact that you already know before he's even said a word that THIS is the most tortured his character has ever felt, the fact that you can tell just by looking at him- at the unspilled tears in his eyes, the tension in his facial muscles, the abject grief in his brow- is flipping monumental. His character never had this look on his face before, not once in the 15 episodes before this. Ever.

And that tells me he lived and breathed as On Ha Jun from start to finish. He was mad for this role and I respect him so fucking much for that.

oh! could i get a session analysis for:

heir of space, seer of life, maid of hope, thief of rage (prospit dreamers)

sylph of light, rogue of heart, page of breath, mage of time (derse dreamers)

none of these people know eachother before the start of the game. it’s a wacky session

OKAY! This is exiting. I'll take these one by one and then go through how their personalities interact. Prospit Dreamers: Heir of Space: Space is patience and setting. It's the process before the end result. Heirs are passive witches, so they manipulate their aspect indirectly. An Heir of Space would have the kind of personality that would inspire people to be more patient. They'd encourage others to take their time and sniff the roses and stuff. Seer of Life: Life the aspect that tells me you're going somewhere. It's growing big and strong, be it physically, mentally, economically, you name it. A seer of life would research general improvement and wellness and share these findings with others. I picture those "sigma males" who are constantly telling people how to manage their lives and their money, but probably in a way that's sillier and less mean. Maid of Hope: This is a cool one! A maid would rely on other people for their aspect. So picture somebody who is naturally very pessimistic who's surrounded by inspiring individuals. It's their job to learn how to find this positive potential within themselves in order to be self sufficient. Thief of Rage: Someone who is generally antagonistic, but not good at it. Over time, they improve in their hurtful ways. These players will usually have good reasons for poking and prodding at their coplayers and just making them feel worse, but other times its just for selfish gain. Derse Dreamers: Sylph of Light: We have an example of this class inside the comic, Aranea! As a Sylph, she had many ideas that she wanted to share with as many people as possible, but she struggled with her own relevance and how to put that into action. Aranea may have been a meanie in the comic, but that doesn't have to be the case for all sylphs of light! Rogue of Heart: Nepeta Leijon! A rogue is one who struggles to even relate to their aspect, passing it on as other people's responsibility at first. With time, they can grow to take back their aspect and enjoy it for themselves. Think of Nepeta, making ships of all of her friends, but never fully confronting the idea of her own love interests. She couldn't accept herself and her own emotions. Page of Breath: Tavros Nitram! A page will cover up a flaw in their aspect by making up a load of nonsense to seem more confident in their aspect than they actually are. Tavros believed the key to a healthy self esteem was repeating empty affirmations untill you feel better. His relation to the breath aspect was one of somebody chasing an ideal. Mage of Time: This is somebody who has suffered from impatience and action, who will use that experience to attain their goals. The challenge with a mage of time is to accept other people's input. Now for the fun part. The synergy with these classpects. The Heir and the Mage are both very crucial to this session, because this is a larger session that needs those strong opposing aspects to keep everyone grounded. The Seer, Rogue, and Mage will be good to come to within a crisis and high stakes situation. The Thief, Maid, and Page will probably cause a lot of problems for this session, either on purpose or accident. The Page will definitely need the Heir and Maid to develop into a crucial component to this session that might be able to pull everyone together, regardless of their differences! On one hand, klefki seems like something they'd be into bc the seem to like steel types and it's not overly cutesy like many of the fairies are. On the other hand, bad for team balance because that gives them four whole steel types 😂 That's prob part of the debate tho I guess, one says he wants it and the other says it's bad for team comp. Tho i guess to be fair they have three bug types too. Wait wasn't there that theory that there are actually two diff klinklangs bc the stats? If that's true that'd be five steel types, almost enough to be a steel gym leader 🤣 Granbull or mimikyu maybe? Don't think they'd go for the more humanoid ones like shiinotic or grimmsnarl but might just be me

if you count the timburr/boldore they use against you as part of the main b2w2 story, that adds a fighting and another rock type (albeit weak ones), but. also.

Normal, Water, Grass, Ice, Psychic, Dark, Fighting (in bw), Fairy (but they're forgiven for this bc fairy type didn't exist yet): 0.

like they're just stacked with steel and bug types. they could have more variety if they wanted. people manage better team balancing with only a single party, they've got 12 and they're still missing like 50% of the types including several Really Important Coverage Ones. i think they don't give a shit about teamcomp they just use their favs. other regions' battle heads are like "ooh i'm using a team of minor legends, now it's just a bst competition" and they're like three bugs and a gimmick ace. fuck you. and then win anyway

The Maid of Heart [symbols: flower, heart]

The Maid class has its basis in the handmaiden or lady-in-waiting. An example would be Joan of Arc.

The Heart aspect’s main theme is instinct. You can find its official description here.

A Maid of Heart is among those who alter the individual's impact. This is the “classpect group” they belong to. Members include: the Sylph, Maid, Bard, and Prince of Heart/Mind. These classes are all opposites or inverses of each other that alter the Heart/Mind dichotomy (the individual's impact). A description of classpect groupings can be found here.

The Maid of Heart actively assists the Heart aspect. Active classes tell themselves what to do and do so for their own benefit. They are more likely to stand up for themselves, but more likely to be cruel. Sylphs and Maids aid their aspect and everything it symbolizes or use it as a form of aid. Simplified, the Maid of Heart is motivated by themselves to assist instinct.

In personality, the Maid of Heart feels like something is holding them back and is invested in self discovery. Personality descriptions can be found here.

Their archetype is the Escapee Free Spirit, defined by freedom and instinct. Archetypes are explained here.

Their opposite is the Sylph of Mind, who passively assists intuition.

Their inverse is the Bard of Mind, who passively destroys intuition.

A classpect or “god tier” is an individual’s best self. All classpects go through a journey from unrealized, to struggle, to realized. When a character is unrealized, they neutrally exist as their inverse. On their struggle, they will wildly flip back and forth between their inverse and true classpect. In their worst moments they will act as their inverse, in their best their true classpect. When realized, they will stabilize as their true classpect. They will still have room to grow, but will become happier, more successful people.

This means that the Maid of Heart begins life motivated by others to destroy intuition. When their struggle arrives and they are at their worst, they will continue this behavior in negative extremes. However, when at their best, they will find purpose in instead assisting instinct for themselves. When realized, they will stabilize and continue to assist the Heart aspect actively, in a positive way.

They share their archetype with the Rogue of Breath, the Free Spirit Escapee.

The Maid of Heart would quest on a planet similar to the Land of Underground [Maid] and Heart [Aspect]. An example would be the Land of Rabbit Holes and Roses. An explanation of planet naming conventions can be found here.

Two possible gods, or denizens, to reign over their planet would be Aphrodite (Goddess of Love) or Yaldabaoth (Trapper of Souls). Other Heart aspect denizens can be found here.

When the Maid of Heart completes their planet quests and dies on their quest bed, they would rise to ascension on the wings of ladybugs (symbols of love). A list of soul animals can be found here.

The characters that I have currently classpected as Maids of Heart are: Snow White from Once Upon a Time, Laurie Jupiter from Watchmen, Maryden Halewell from Dragon Age, Aubrey Little from The Adventure Zone: Amnesty, Lucy Brennan from Twin Peaks, Stephanie Splitz from LazyTown, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and Pearl Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants.

Am considering putting together a set of color palettes for the 12 Aspects as per the season color analysis system...aka a set for each person no matter what colors they look good in. That would be 4 main palettes for each Aspect, then minor shade differences to add the other 8. Of course, I have to figure what seasons the canon aspect palettes fit into first...

BARBIE SPOILERS

So in the movie, they say Gloria never had a Ken doll which is a good explanation as to why Barbie doesn’t respond to Ken or the idea of having a Ken because Gloria never associated Barbie with wanting or needing one.

BUT ALSO she’s stereotypical Barbie, like a Barbie that just comes without a career or gimmick or theme. She’s like a blank canvas.

But Ken does have a theme. He’s beach Ken. If they were “paired up” where they’re automatic boyfriend/girlfriend she’d be Beach Barbie or he’d be stereotypical Ken. But we don’t know what kind of Barbie weird Barbie was before she was a weird Barbie, we just know she was the most beautiful Barbie. And she does have interest in Ken. So I think that she was Ken’s original paired Barbie.

I think that he came (I also want to know more about how Barbies and Kens arrive in Barbie Land) with a Barbie and lost her and everyone just thought that stereotypical Barbie could take her place since she’s like nonspecific and can just fill in the blanks which is why he kinda has a preexisting one-sides dynamic when he talks to Barbie, like he’s trying to recreate something he once had. I also think in the real world, this Ken is lost and maybe not being played with which is why he’s extra clingy.

But basically I think Weird Barbie and Beach Ken would make each other very happy
