soooo in character to be honest (also warning big bad english grammar text headcanons basing it all on this☝️ and bc my english sucks buak so if anybody ever care to read this much bare with my bad grammar)

imo sniper just seems to be the type of person to just not hold at all a breakup, it depends too bc if it’s w miss p then they didn’t breakup bc of fights or anything (they aren’t that type to fight w eachother tbh) more like “huh… this feels a bit awkward now that im passing more time with you even though we’re doing well… you know what maybe i am not feeling you right now… maybe we should distant right now” that will be in my opinion miss pauling the one to break up first. sniper would just be considering it but not that quite sure and confident to wanna do it, he also likes her company too much to leave her but he just gonna be like “oh ok- you actually did consider it… ok fine if that’s what you want i will respect it…” even though he clearly doesn’t want to AND CLEARLY miss pauling too, but by god. this two bitches don’t know how a relationship works at A L L. they’re a disaster.

and they’re both often times awkward by themselves so their relationship requires more physical affection than words and maybe that’s what they fail for.

like getting all lovey dovey and sweet and shit with each other at first all cool for a very long time, but then bc it happens to pauling and sniper to also like… be distant with eachother and not talking too much (it’s the 70s and they don’t have cellphones to message eachother and they are quite awkward to call eachother so they most likely have very few times when they call eachother) so i feel like the one who would more hurt by that would be sniper, and i feel like miss p just because she is so obsessed w being on her time alone she just often times forgets that she have a girlfriend and they don’t see eachother that much and when they do they just don’t talk at all and that’s how a breakup/distancing starts for both of them and well like you said yes totally sniper would just disappear for a bunch of months and then when they see eachother at work sniper would try and talk to her and well it’s awkward but he is trying lol? but i feel like pauling won’t try at all as she probably seems like feeling bad for breaking up with him so she just wants to avoid him? she’s always acting like that anyways when she doesn’t feel comfortable enough to know what to like even say to that person. but then, even sniper keeps and keeps insisting to talk to her and she just well… ofc she still have a soft spot for him so it makes her feel more bad for avoiding him instead of like trying at least and be friends again.

it works and this time they do talk a lot more than before, they just seem to be more of like understanding each other better and having way too much to say like working on the honesty with each other and how to understand their boundaries and stuffs. but that’s on pauling’s plan as after that breakup and now dating again sniper she just seems to be like “shit now i have to work on this relationship better… i need to put some effort” but like sniper is like eh just letting things go if it happens it happens again and he will still fall into a mini depression before getting with pauling again and is like… like… trying to build a better relationship even though they just don’t know how to handle it as they always say “we need some time/i need my space” too many times it becomes like this unhealthy necessity to always say it and use it as an excuse to break up, even though this two are very attached with each other as they do develop by the time feelings for each other annnndddd-
