How much do Asgardians need to eat? Because it has to be A LOT of food considering their strength, stamina, durability, etc.
Now I'm imagining a family dinner with the Avengers, everyone's got a generous plate of food, while throat hoofing down a whole pig and is still hungry.
How many calories would Asgardian animals have to have so that they could sustain the Asgardians because they love their meat and Asgard isn't very big.
I know theyr definitely import and export but still.
Imagine Thor and Loki working for the Avengers and getting lunch breaks that are too short to sustain them so they're constantly snacking and extremely unwell because they aren't eating enough đđ
#aww i made it sad now#but seriously how much do they eat?#how much do they have to eat?#I NEED ANSWERS#And what do you guys think lokis food preferences are?#i think he loves seafood#even though i hate it lol#thor loves red meat#loki loves wine#we know this to be cannon cuz he said in the series he had a nice bath and wine after cutting Sif's hair#and he loves chocolate#i made another post about that#loki#loki laufeyson#loki laufeychild#marvel#loki laufeydottir#thor of asgard#thor odinson#thor god of thunder#asgard#asgardians#loki god of mischief#loki odinson#loki of jotunheim#loki of asgard#headcanon

Little Flower
Summary: You're startled during a power outage late one night when your co-worker, Harry, is at your door, drenched from the rain. How does he even know where you live?Â
Word Count: 4,468
A/N: This is a bit dark you guys! It's a classic stalker story so just keep that in mind as you read and only consume what you can handle! xoxo
Warning: smut, cheating, dark elements, coercion, stalking, aggressive male behavior, size kink, breeding kink, and sort of dubcon via manipulation
. .
You always loved rainy, stormy nights. It was the best time to snuggle up on your couch with a blanket and a pint of ice cream and watch scary movies. You were supposed to go out with friends but the weather had changed everyoneâs plans. Some streets were even flooded and it just wasnât going to be worth it to get out in the storm to go to some bar and drink gross, expensive drinks and then figure out how youâd get home.
This was far better, you determined, as you dunked your spoon into your cherry chocolate cheesecake ice cream.
Definitely better.
But then a sudden loud crash of thunder shook your windows, making you drop your pint of ice cream onto the floor at the same time you were suddenly shrouded in darkness when your electricity went out, taking your entertainment of the slasher movie you were watching with it.
You tore your blanket off your legs in annoyance and reached down for the ice cream container when you heard another noise making you still your movements as you listened through the heavy sound of rain and wind. It was coming from your back door. You strained your eyes to see through the dark as you placed the carton of ice cream on your coffee table and reached for your cell phone so you could investigate the noise.
Turning on your flashlight app to the brightest setting (thank god for modern technology) you made your way to the kitchen and peeked out the doorâs window. But there was nothing that you could see.
You pursed your lips to the side and looked down at your phone and it was then you realized you had no cellular service at all. Which was odd. Sure the wifi was out with the electricity but cell service too? The storm must have knocked out a tower you supposed.
It was 11:47 pm. And since the electricity was out you figured youâd just go to bed. You couldnât mindlessly scroll social media if you couldnât get on the internet. So maybe this night wasnât definitely better than going out with friends would have been.
You sighed to yourself and shined your cell phone light over the floor to make your way to your bedroom when there was the sound of a knock at your front door. Four harsh raps that had you stopping dead in your tracks.
You certainly werenât expecting anyone and who would be out in such a heavy storm so late? Turning off the flashlight you slowly approached your front window to peek out but it was difficult to make out who was standing in front of your door. You could tell that it was a man but not much more.
Three more urgent knocks startled you, making your skin chill and putting you on edge.
You took a chance to peek through your doorâs window at just the edge, hoping the man wouldnât see you peering out but just as you did so a flash of lightening lit up the entire space around you as well as your front porch and you blinked as you recognized the man at your door.
It was someone you worked with.
You relaxed as you waved out the window and then opened your door. His hair was wet and his clothes were soaked, making his shirt cling to his body.
âHarry! What are you doing here? Whatâs going on?â
He looked behind himself and placed his hand on your doorframe, âCan I come in?â
You nodded and pulled your door open for him to enter. His presence felt heavy. Something was different about him. You werenât sure why exactly. You didnât know him all that well but he seemed nice enough at work. But in that moment he felt like a different person.
Closing your door you turned to face him, trying to push down the odd feeling you were getting, âWhatâs going on? Are you okay?â
âYeah. Got caught in the rain and just needed a spot to ride it out a bit. Sâokay if I hang out here until it lets up?â He stepped in toward you which put you right back on edge again.
âUh⊠I mean yeah. Sure. Were you in the area? I thought you had a car.â
Harryâs dark figure loomed over you as he spoke, âI have a car. Itâs down the street. And yes. I was nearby.â
You backed up for some space, âOh. Did your car break down?â
âSomething like that.â
You tried to steady your breaths. Something was off.
âDid you enjoy the flowers I got for you, Y/n?â Harryâs chest was rising and falling heavily as if heâd been running just before.
âUmâŠâ you looked down at the cell phone in your hand and back up to the man as your eyes began to adjust to the dark, âWas that you? I didnât realize⊠I thought they were delivered to me by mistake.â
Youâd gotten flowers sent to you at work on Friday afternoon. A gorgeous bouquet stuffed with lovely flowers in a pretty glass vase. At first, you thought your boyfriend had sent them but when you texted him he got upset that someone else had sent you flowers.
The card read âTo my little flower.â
You chalked it up to being sent to the wrong person because there was no name on anything.
Harry shook his head as he moved closer, âThose were from me. So were the chocolates the week before. And the gummy bears before that. But I was disappointed to find out you had a boyfriend.â
You swallowed and felt your back press into your door. You wondered if you could make a run for it but Harry twisted your deadbolt and then placed a palm flat on the wood next to your head, âHow long have you been seeing him?â
You nodded, âUmm. For almost a year.â
Harry turned his head to look around your living room. You were feeling all kinds of weird things in that moment.
The first was fright. Harryâs sudden aggressive behavior was a shock to you. You were also feeling very curious about what was going on. Why was he in your home? How did he know where you lived? What was he planning on doing? But the most concerning thing you were feeling was that trickle of adrenaline and excitement.
Because that was another thing. Harry was probably the hottest guy youâd ever seen. All the girls at work gossiped about him in private. Talked about how fit he was, how handsome, his hair, his eyes, his voice⊠You did find him quite alluring, youâd just never gotten the chance to really get to know him. Plus you had a boyfriend to think about so getting close to another man wasnât a good idea anyway.
âA year? Really?â You could see the outline of his face and the slope of his nose as he licked his lips, âAnd heâs not here right now with you?â
Shaking your head you kept your eyes on his. You didnât know what his next move was going to be.
And when he lifted a hand up to delicately run his fingers over your cheekbone a shiver was sent down the knobs of your spine and you closed your eyes, âNo. Heâs at home. He doesnât live here.â
You heard a small laugh press through his nostrils, âI know he doesnât live here. Iâm just fucking with you.â
You opened up your eyes in confusion and you saw a smirk on his face, but he didnât back away from you to give an inch of space.
âSee Iâve been keeping track, Y/n. I know almost everything there is to know about you. Pretty little flower needs something her lame boyfriend canât give her.â
A shuddered breath left your lungs, âWhat do you mean?â
Harryâs gentle fingers at your cheekbone lowered to your jaw, âI mean look at whatâs going on right now for example. Youâve got the big bad wolf standing in your living room, ready to do ungodly things to you, and your shithead boyfriend is safe at home, probably with his sidepiece because he never cared about you in the first place.â
You swallowed and shook your head, âWhat? Sidepiece?â
Harryâs dark chuckle vibrated out of his chest as his thumb ran up the side of your neck, âThatâs right, little flower. Marco has been cheating on you. Some skinny girl with ratty hair. God only knows what he sees in her when heâs got you at the helm. A shame youâve chosen such a loser. I would worship the ground you walked on if you were mine.â
âWhat are you going to do to me?â You had a hard time keeping your thoughts in a straight line. Marco was cheating? It could be a ruse. Perhaps Harry was lying. But also the stroke of his thumb at your neck was pressing harder into your skin and it was causing your head to go dizzy and your limbs were heating up.
Harryâs pink lips curved up into a wicked grin, âI have a few things that Iâd like to do to you. Would you like to hear them?â
Did you want to know? Was he going to hurt you? That, you didnât want. You werenât much of a fan of pain. But if he were to force himself on you somehow⊠Maybe if he were to take you to your bed and do something ungodly to you⊠well, what would that entail?
âYes.â You squeaked out pathetically.
That dark smile on his face widened, âThatâs a good sign, flower. Honestly, I kind of expected a little more of a struggle from you. But you seem to like this so far. Thatâs going to make this so much easier. So much better for us.â
He moved in toward your face and then you felt his breath on your jaw and down your neck before he spoke against your skin and you felt that icy prick of exhilaration cover your body, âIâll be soft with you as long as you let me. If you fight me itâs going to be a lot less soft, understand me?â
You knocked your head up and down in an affirmative nod as you held your breath.
His plushy mouth pressed over the side of your throat and you felt his tongue drag upward to your jaw, âFirst I want to taste you. Need to know what you smell like. Find out how thick your arousal gets and what your flavor is on my tongue.â
You gulped down the moan you nearly let out as you closed your eyes and his lips nipped over your skin to the front of your neck, âBut then I want to know what you feel like, Y/n. Want to know how it feels when your insides are wrapped around my cock. Want to hear your pretty voice saying my name when you come. Want you to forget all about Marco. Because I want you for myself. Yeah?â
You felt like you were in a dream. Maybe it was just a dream. One of those strange fever dreams that feels like itâs happening but then it feels too weird to be real. And if it was just a dream⊠well what was the harm in it?
âYes.â You whispered, your voice hitching up an octave.
âYeah? You want that flower? Because if you do thereâs not going to be any turning back. I wonât be able to let you go after this.â
You lifted your shaky hands up to his chest, feeling the moisture from his shirt under your palms. His heated skin underneath was taut and well-muscled. But of course, you knew he was strong and fit.
Harry kissed up your jaw and then his mouth was pressed against yours and the sizzle of your bodies pressed together was like an electric shock to your system as your mouth opened for his with ease. You smoothed your hands up his pecs, to his shoulders, and then to the back of his head into his wet hair. You allowed a moan to fall from your mouth against his and he shifted his hips before lifting you up by the back of your thighs and making you wrap your legs around his waist as he walked you to your bedroom, like he knew exactly where he was going.
He dropped you down to your bed and peeled his shirt off. So many tattoos that you had a hard time making out in the dark but you saw the inky designs, some blending together, some letters, numbers, drawingsâŠ
You felt his hands tear down your night shorts, taking your cotton panties with them in one quick tug, and then he began to undo his pants, pushing them down his sturdy legs as he kept his gaze on yours.
You felt like a different person. Like this was happening to someone who was taking over your body. The darkness of your room lit up with a lightning flash and then the heavy roll of thunder shook your house.
Harry crawled over you, his bulky frame covering you completely as you felt his fingers pulling your t-shirt off until your breasts were bare and the cool air of your dark room covered you in chills.
But he dipped down and placed his warm palm on one of your breasts while his mouth suctioned at the other side, pulling gently at your nipple and then lapping at your skin until he moved to the other side, warming your skin with his lips and his saliva.
âGah!â You panted as you felt his teeth dig into your bud and you lifted your head to peer down at him.
Harry smiled against your nipple and then lifted himself to look down at you, âSorry. Said Iâd be soft. Might just accidentally nip at you here and there. You donât know how long Iâve wanted to do this to you, Y/n. How desperately I need you,â he ducked his face down between your breasts and dotted hot kisses down the center of your tummy until he gripped the inner parts of your thighs and pushed them apart so he could tuck himself in between.
You let out the loudest gasp youâd ever let fall from your lungs when you felt his soft lips peppering kisses up your labia. Harryâs tongue jutted out between your crease and you felt the warmth of his wet muscle slide up until he bumped into your clit.
âOh flowerâŠâ he breathed against your cunt, âBetter than I imaginedâŠâ
When he wrapped his plush lips around your clit you sucked in a sharp breath and let your head fall back into your blankets as Harryâs arms caged you in by the back of your thighs.
Youâd never been eaten out with such enthusiasm. Marco always acted like he was going to hurt you so it usually felt like a limp rag against your pussy, which did absolutely nothing for you. But Harry felt like a real man with a warm mouth and a big wet tongue going at you like he was frustrated. Crazed.
His moans vibrated over your core and up to your hips as you wiggled under him, softly bucking yourself up against him.
âOh!â You moaned loudly and reached down to grab onto anything when you felt his hand pull at yours and slide his fingers between your digits as he pressed it down into the mattress. But he did not let up his licking and sucking and it felt like the whole world would crumble around you if he let go of your hand.
The sound coming from between your legs was proof of how wet youâd gotten. He had worked you up into a frenzy without much effort at all. You werenât sure if it was the way he was eating you out, or the very strange circumstance of him showing up at your place and making some kind of claim on you but you knew youâd give yourself to him if thatâs what he wanted. Even if it was wrong. Even if made you a bad person. Even if Harry was a bad personâŠ
âShit! Oh ffffâŠâ you yelped when he focused on your clit and it stung your flesh in the most salacious way youâd ever felt. You swore he was sucking the soul right out of you and inhaling it whole for himself.
Your whines grew loud as you squeezed his hand and his shoulders pressed harder into the backs of your thighs. He said heâd be soft but this wasnât soft. It was better. It was hot and twisted and you should have been ashamed at how much you liked it but you were on the cusp of an orgasm and you couldnât stop yourself.
The world around you went blank except for Harryâs mouth and his hand wrapped around yours. There was no telling how long you were shaking or crying his name or how loud youâd been or even where you were in that moment.
Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as you felt those soft pink lips gliding up your body and then finding your neck, a harsh suck making you coo in ecstasy. Everything in your body felt exactly right. Harry had turned you into another woman and his warm body covered you possessively. You were his and heâd just shown you that.
âTasted like sunshine and butterscotch,â his lips smeared over your cheek hotly, âMy little flower deserves her cunt eaten properly every day. Now that youâre mine youâll never go without.â
You sighed and then you felt his warm shaft against your pussylips. He still had your hand in his as he looked down at you and lined up his tip with your opening, pushing in only his bulbous head.
You hissed at the tightness of it, arching your back into him.
âItâs okay. Iâm gonna go in slow so it doesnât hurt. Tiny little hole needs worked open, yeah?â
You nodded with a whimper, âItâs so⊠youâre so big⊠oh godâŠâ
âWeâll get you used to it. Donât worry sweet, flower. Gonna take good care of youâŠâ
His fat cock slowly took up inch by inch of your insides. Youâd never felt such a full feeling from a cock before. Harryâs dick was thick and the further he pressed inward you could tell he was also long.
He slowly backed himself out to the tip and kissed your mouth with a quick peck before smiling down at you as he drove back in, pushing deeper yet. The kind of stretch he was giving you felt impossible. Even your huge dildo (which you hid from Marco so as not to hurt his fragile feelings of seeing a toy that was bigger than he was) didnât feel this big, didnât give you this kind of fullness.
There was the sound of a soft squelch of your pussy getting stuffed as he bottomed out. He nuzzled his face into your neck and panted softly as he thrust deeply. You could feel your insides getting moved around, rearranged, and prodded into.
It did something to your brain to know your pussy was making a man with such a big cock feel like you were. You could feel his cock twitching as he rocked into you. The front of his thighs pressed into the back of yours as he fucked you with his large dick.
âYou feel that, flower?â His hot breath cascaded over your neck as he spoke.
âMmm⊠I feel it all, HarryâŠâ you moaned in response as you flexed your hand inside of his and brought your other hand up to his broad back to hold onto his outer lat.
âI can tell you feel it too. Feel me way up in your tummy, spreading you open like youâve never been. Feels like Iâm fucking a virgin right now,â he trembled as kept up his languid pace.
And compared to anyone else youâd slept with, yeah⊠you could say you were like a virgin. Youâd never had anything so large inside of your pussy and you knew you couldnât go back to anything less.
âGonna get you fucked and filled so nicely every day. My little flower⊠fuck⊠feels so tight and wet around me. So warm. Just begging for my come.â
You moaned out breathily. Every stroke of his shaft and dip of his crown into your guts had you reeling. It was so much and so good. You were already addicted to the way he was fucking you and talking you through it.
âI need your come, Harry. I need you in my womb so badâŠâ you panted your words but you werenât sure if those words had come from you or not. Maybe you were just cock drunk or cock dumb or whatever it was youâd heard of that happened to some people when they were getting a good dicking but it was something youâd never experienced and you wanted him to claim every part of you. Youâd never before asked for anyoneâs come. Youâd never fucked without a condom. But Harry was the exception to everything.
His slow, deep plunges were driving you insane. Every sticky wet slide of his cock through your walls, every time you felt his balls fit up against your ass, every grind of his hips against yours⊠it made you feel obsessed. Like an unstable lunatic, hungry for something that no one else would ever understand.
âNeed me deep in your womb, flower?â Harry pasted his hips to yours and rocked against you, making you squeal at the press of his tip into your cervix, âIs that what you want? Want me to stuff you with my come and give you babies, make you mine forever? Yeah?â
âYes! Please!â You gasped when he bit into your neck as the roll of his back and his hips into you suddenly faltered and his rhythm grew sloppy.
Harry trembled over you as he pressed his nose into your jaw, his moans growing louder and his cock was twitching, leaking precome as his balls squeezed into his body preparing for his orgasm.
But the way he was glued to your pelvis and every grind down into you sent glorious sparkles down your spine that spread over your pussy as he was smushed against your clit.
The moment you felt your orgasm start to unfold and burst your vision went black as your heart pounded and your pussy gushed around him.
When Harry felt you squeezing him tight with a spasming pussy and he knew you were coming he coughed out a moan as he allowed himself to pound into you, finally punching through your walls the way he wanted as he fucked you through your release. Long, slick, aching strokes with skin wetly slapping, your bed rocking with each strong thrust, until Harryâs gasps of pleasure finally poured out of his lungs as he came inside of you. Inside of his sweet flower.
He pumped and throbbed as he pressed in deep, stilling his hips against yours with his heart pounding wildly. It was heaven. Bliss. He knew it would be.
Your body was limp under his as you began to come down and you felt him thick and pulsating inside of you as he drained himself into your womb just like you wanted. The grip he had on your hand ached but you loved it as he used your pussy for his pleasure. Deep whimpers fell from his chest.
Everything swirled and sparkled and twisted around you in some divine kaleidoscope. His dark words spoken into your ear, âYouâre mine now, flower,â had you smiling and humming in delight. It was all you wanted. He was all you needed.
. . .
You woke up to your phone alarm sounding next to you on the bed. The tiniest bit of light was peeking through your curtains as you sat up and found your phone to shut off the noise. You were in a daze as you looked around yourself and realized you were alone in your bed.
You pulled your brows together and looked around your room. Your clothes were on the floor and memories of the night before began to flood your mind. Harry. Where was Harry?
Throwing the blankets off your naked body you looked down over yourself and felt that warm flush of excitement crawl over your skin at the thought of what had happened. You slid on your t-shirt and walked into your hallway, âHarry?â You called his name but there was no response.
Your living room was left just as it had been the night before. Your front door was unlocked and the carton of half-eaten ice cream was sitting on your coffee table, all melted inside.
You shook your head as you peeked into your kitchen and then went into your bathroom, flicking on the light and there lying on your vanity was a flower. You picked it up as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Two big dark splotches on your neck told you that you werenât going crazy. That something had happened last night.
Unless youâd done it to yourself somehow? You leaned in to look closer in the mirror as you ran your fingers over the skin on your throat and frowned. Maybe it had just all been a dream. It definitely felt like one.
You sighed as you stepped back and retraced the events of what you remember. But it was hard to recall the details exactly. You were so gone for Harry, your co-worker, and heâd been so aggressive yet so soft at the same time.
Perhaps it had just been a dream. A wild dream that had you coming twice and begging for him to come inside of you.
You laughed as you ran your hands over your face and shook your head. Maybe you were going crazy. It didnât explain the flower or the splotches on your neck but somehow, in the light of day, it all felt like nothing more than a fantasy. It made more sense that it would have just been a dream. What were the chances your hot co-worker had come to your house in the middle of the night and fucked you so good you were ready to marry him and give him babies? No, that wasnât real. Because that wasnât you.
You looked back at yourself in the mirror with a grin. The only thing you knew for certain at that moment was that youâd never think about Harry the same way again.

ă Wrapped In Jude | A Very Merry Footballer Ficmas ă
summary: youâre stranded in a snowstorm with your childhood best friend and the only hotel room left is the honeymoon suite
wc: ~3.2k đ
đŸ: a gift for all of you whoâve been mostly nice this year | pt 2 of my ficmas series
When the car swerved again your heart almost jumped out of your chest. The tires skidded across the icy roads, making you grip the wheel tight. You were silently begging the sky gods to give you a non-icy, smooth stretch of road, but your prayers went unanswered.
âAye relaxâ Jude yelled from the passenger seat, which was bold considering he wasnât the one fighting for both of your lives against an assault of frozen water crystals. He pointed ahead. âThat doesnât look good.â
âNo shit. Nothing looks good right now Judeâ you retorted, trying to keep the wheel steady as snow pummeled against the windshield. The snow was coming down so hard that it felt like someone placed your car inside of a snow globe and shook it for a laugh.
âWhy did you convince me this was a good idea?â you asked.
âI didnât convince youââ
âLies. âThe roads will be fine Y/N. Itâs just a little snowâ â you mocked, not even giving him a glance. âYouâre not even driving but you have soooo much to say.â
âWell.. you donât want me to drive. If I drive, weâre DOAâ he joked, looking out the window at a large snowbank.
âDOA??â
âDead on arriââ Jude started, but the car skidded again, making you curse under your breath. Your foot eased off the gas, but your pulse was thundering in your ears. Every turn of the wheel felt like you were one bad move away from starring in a very unfestive breaking news report.
âOver there!â Jude pointed at the dim glow of a building in the distance. âI think thatâs a hotel. Letâs just stop there, yeah?â
You squinted through the storm, leaning toward the dashboard like a grandma as you just barely made out the outline of the car park that was nearly full. The tires groaned as you slowly turned the car, sliding into a parking spot with relief etched on your face.
âSee? Weâre aliveâ Jude announced, grinning from ear to ear.
âBarelyâ you muttered, throwing the car in park. The storm outside was still raging, and you werenât about to get stuck sleeping in the car if you didnât have to. âLetâs see if they have a room available.â
The wind harshly smacked you in the face as soon as you stepped out of the car. You hunched your shoulders, pulling your coat tighter as Jude trailed behind you, not in a rush to get inside.
âHurry up Judeâ you called over your shoulder. âIâm not staying out here while you frolic around. You wanna be Olaf so bad.â
âOn my wayâ Jude said, snickering as he scooped a handful of snow. âY/N look!â
You didnât think much of it until you heard a very specific laugh. One that meant he was up to no good. You had no chance to turn around before you felt a freezing snowball hit the back of your head, sending a wet slush of ice down your neck.
âAre you serious right now?â you said, spinning around to see him grinning like a fool.
âYou looked tense after all the driving,â Jude said, shrugging. âThought Iâd help you loosen up.â
You rolled your eyes, pushing through the doors. Inside, the lobby was pure chaos. People in coats and boots crowded around arguing about room availability, while others were slumped in chairs, drinking hot chocolate.Â
At the front desk, the receptionist looked like she was one request away from quitting on the spot. Her hair was pulled back in a messy bun, her eyes were darting from one demanding guest to the next. Honestly, the girl looked like she needed a shot or two.
Jude leaned in, brushing some snow out of your hair, whispering. âI think she hates her life more than you hate me right now.â
âDebatableâ you muttered, stepping up to the desk when she finally looked your way.
âHi. Please tell me you have a room left? We need two beds.â
Her tired eyes scanned you and Jude. She sighed, âWe have one.â She tapped at the computer, tone flat. âBut..â
âBut what?â you repeated, already bracing for the worst.
âItâs a honeymoon suite. Just one bed.â she added, not softening the blow.Â
Jude burst out laughing as he leaned against the counter. âWhat do you say, Mrs. Bellingham?â
âShut up Jude,â you hissed, giving him a nasty side eye. You turned back to the receptionist. âAre you sure thereâs nothing else? Not even a pull out bed?â
The receptionist shook her head, very over the conversation. âNope. Take it or leave it.â
Jude smiled at you, wagging his brows. âThe car or the love cavern? Take your pick.â
You groaned, snatching the key fob from the counter. âWeâll take it.â Jude trailed behind you as you walked to the lift, still laughing at the fact that he was about to sleep in a honeymoon suite with his childhood best friend.
Judeâs chuckles echoed through the mostly empty hallway as you waited for the lift. You glared at him, but it made him laugh even harder.
âIâm gonna lock you out and enjoy the honeymoon suite by myself if you donât shut the fuck up,â you warned.
âAh, lighten upâ he said, straightening up but still smiling cheekily. âThis is hilarious. Admit it.â
âNo. Itâs notâ you snapped, stepping into the lift. âThereâs nothing funny about being stuck in a blizzard. And out of all people...it had to be with you.â
Jude leaned against the wall, shrugging. âCouldâve been stuck with someone boring like Trent.â
âSleeping in the car would be a better option than either of you.â you muttered, folding your arms.Â
âOkay,â he winked with both eyes, lightly pushing your arm. âIâll be a good boy. Promise. Wouldnât want Santa to give me any coal for Christmas.â
The lift doors shut but Judeâs smirk and annoying laugh hadnât budged since leaving the lobby â it was starting to work your last nerve.
âYou shouldâve been on the naughty list years agoâ you muttered, leaning back on the wall.
âMaybe Iâll rebrand next yearâ Jude said, stuffing his hands into his coat pocket while rocking back on his feet. âNew year, new me.â
You puffed a laugh. âYou? Rebranding?? Youâve been loud, obnoxious, and way too comfortable since we were kids.â
âYou still tolerate me enough to do a road trip back home though. Says a lot,â he grinned as the lift began to rise.
âSays I make bad decisions.â
He shook his head, then looked up at you with a sly smile. âYou know Iâm the light of your life.â
âMore like a pain in the assâ you shot back, staring at the floor numbers ticking by. Anything to avoid looking at him and his cute, yet maddening face. âI canât wait to get in this room and pretend you donât exist.â
âPretend I donât exist?â he repeated, taking offense. âYou canât even go five minutes without talking to me.â
âI can if you would shut up.â
The lift dinged and the doors slid open to reveal Christmas lights glowing along the ceiling. There were wreaths made of pine and red berries hung on every door. You could smell cinnamon and the smell of open fire from a nearby fireplace.
For a second, it felt like you were in a magical holiday movie, but Jude had to ruin it of course.
âAh, perfect for our honeymoon eveningâ he said, stepping out of the lift.
âHoneymoon evening my assâ you sassed, following him down the hall. âYouâre not sleeping in bed with me.â
Jude spun around, walking backward just to flash you a cocky grin. âThatâs no way to talk about consummating our marriage, wifey.â
âKeep chatting shit and Iâll make you sleep on the floor.â
âYou wonât.â
âFuck around and youâll find out.â
When you reached the door, Jude took the key fob from you and pushed the door open like he was revealing a car on a game show. âGo on, Mrs. Bellingham. Your special night awaits..â he announced.
You rolled your eyes and stepped inside, immediately stopping in your tracks. The room was tacky as hell. There were rose petals everywhere, a mirror above the king sized bed, and a red, heart shaped LED light that casted a red glow on the entire room.
Jude stood behind you, letting out a low whistle. âWent all out, didnât they?â
âIs this a joke?â you asked no one. âA mirror above the bed is crazy.â
Jude brushed past you, flopping his long body on the bed like it was the best room he ever saw. âNah, this is nice. They have swan towels and chocolate!â
âI hate thisâ you mumbled, dropping your bag onto the floor and flopping into the chair. âIâm not sleeping here."
âYeah?â Jude taunted, propping his elbows behind him. âWhere you gonna go? The floor? The car??â
âAnywhere but here.â
He smirked, kicking his shoes off. âSuit yourself. But this bed is amazing. Youâre missing out.â
Later that night, the room was quiet with the exception of the roar from the heater. You were curled up on the far, far edge of the massive bed, staring at the wall. You took Jude up on his offer, but you built a pillow wall between you and him. Despite building the pillow wall for boundaries â it was still awkward.
âHeyâ Judeâs voice broke through the silence, quietly. âYou asleep?â
You closed your eyes, pretending like you didnât hear him.
âY/Nâ he called again, louder this time. âI know youâre up. You breathe loud when youâre lying.â
You groaned, rolling over to your back. âUgh. What do you want Jude?â
âIâm cold,â he said casually.
âWhat?â
âIâm freezing actually. Feels like my toes are gonna fall off.âÂ
You sat up, glaring at him over the pillow wall. âYouâre under blankets.. how are you cold?â
Jude shrugged, pulling the blanket up around his body. âDunno. Maybe Iâve got bad circulation or something?â
âSounds like a you problemâ you scoffed, laying back down and pulling the covers over your own head. âDeal with it.â
There was a pause, then Jude spoke again. âOr..you could let me borrow some of your body heat.â
Your head shot out the covers. âNope. Absolutely not. No.â
âIâll stay on my side,â Jude said, poking his head over the pillow barrier like he was trying to negotiate his bedtime. âI promise. Just scooch over a bit?â
âNo.â
âY/N.â
âJude.â
He dramatically sighed and flopped back to his side of the bed. âYou have no heart. Iâm suffering and you donât care. I thought you loved me.â
âYouâre not sufferingâ you reasoned, pulling some of the blanket away from him and onto you. âYouâre annoying.â
âFine.â he muttered, tugging the blanket back toward him. âIf I die from hypothermia just know youâll have to explain that to my family. Good luck telling my mum youâre a cold blooded killer by proxy.â
You rolled your eyes, trying to ignore him, but the room kept getting colder. The heating system in the room sounded like it was about to give up entirely based on how loud it was roaring. The air in the room was biting back at you, even under the blankets.
He was right, and you hated it.
With a heavy sigh, you got rid of the pillow wall and turned to face him. Jude perked up again, his eyes lighting up like Christmas tree.
âDonât say anythingâ you warned, scooting closer until you were a safe but practical distance away. âThis is for warmth only.â
âI wasnât going to say anything,â he grinned.
âAnd stay on your sideâ you added, jabbing your finger at him.
âGot it. Boundariesâ he said, holding his hands above the covers.
When you laid back down, you were trying hard not to focus on how warm he felt from a few scoots away. The bed creaked slightly as he shifted closer â not too close, but enough to make you hyper aware of how close he could be if he shifted any further.
âBetter?â you asked, your voice clipped.
âYeah, this is great,â he replied in a soft tone. âThanks, Y/N.â
You closed your eyes, trying to fall asleep â but then Jude started talking again. He said you couldnât go five minutes without talking to him, but clearly that was on his part and not yours.
âYâknowâ he whispered quietly. âFor someone who says they make bad decisions, youâre not doing too bad tonight.â
âWhatââ
The room went dark faster than you could finish the word and you heard the heater groan before turning off. The only noise you could hear now was the wind and snow knocking against the window. You froze, pulling more of the blanket toward you.
âHeyâ Judeâs voice cut through the loud silence. âDid the power justâ?â
âYes. The power went outâ you replied, annoyed. âWhat gave it away? The pitch black?â
âAttitude isnât cute on youâ he muttered, shifting in the bed. You felt the mattress dip and then his voice came in closer. âYou okay?â
âIâm fineâ you mumbled, but your heart started racing. Not from the power outage, but from him being so close.
âThis is cozy,â Jude spoke after a pause. You could hear the grin on his face, you didnât need to see it. âItâll be fun telling our kids we survived the apocalypse, Mrs. Bellingham.â
âYou wish I was your wife,â you joked. âBut itâs not the apocalypse.. just a power outage.â
âFeels like itâ he answered dramatically, slightly yanking some of the blanket back over to himself. âItâs like the North Pole in here now.â
âWell..the heater is off so yeah...itâs cold. Duh.â
âRight,â he said, inching closer. You felt his knee bump your leg under the blanket. âBody heat is crucial to ââ
âJude, be quiet.â
âIâm just sayingâ he countered, by the tone of his voice you could tell the grin was back. âWeâre gonna freeze to death. And for what? We can combine our body heat.â
You groaned, pulling the blanket over your head but it was no use. The cold air was already creeping in and the space between you and Jude was closing by the second.
âOkay. Fine.â you finally mumbled. âBehave. I donât want to play footsie with you. Keep your cold ass toes to yourself.â
âI will,â he said quickly, already shifting closer. âScoutâs honour.â
âYou werenât a scout.â
âCouldâve been if I didnât go for football.â
You rolled your eyes but didnât argue as you turned on your side to face him. Jude was way too close now â his face was only a few centimeters away from yours. Your fingers lightly grazed his arm as you tugged over the blanket to share equally now.
âThis good?â you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
âPerfect.â he murmured softly.
The silence stretched for a while but it wasnât uncomfortable. You could hear him breathing slow and steady; you also felt the warmth radiating off his body. You didnât realize how cold you were before. Your closeness to Jude felt strange, yet comforting. Almost like you didnât realize it was something you wanted forever, until now.
âYouâre staring at me,â Jude said suddenly, breaking the quiet.
âIâm not staringâ you shot back defensively.
âI can feel your eyes. Youâre staringâ he teased, another grin creeping into his voice.
âJude.â
âY/N.â
The way he said your name this time sent a jolt through you, and you suddenly couldnât think of a single comeback.
âWhy are you looking at me like that?â he asked in a low voice.
âLike what?â you whispered.
âLike youâre waiting for somethingâŠâ he said, leaning in slightly.
Your breath hitched when the space between you shrunk to nothing. His face was so close that you could feel his breath warm and steady against your skin.
âJudeâŠâ you started, not knowing how to finish the rest.
âYeah?â
You didnât answer. There wasnât anything else left to be said. You felt the staticky, warm rush of anticipation that can only be felt right before youâre about to kiss someone for the first time.Â
His lips brushed up against yours softly, finally making a connection that was years in the making. The first second stretched out and you couldnât pull away. You found yourself kissing him back, moving your hand instinctively to his shoulder. Judeâs hand slid down to your waist, pulling you closer as the kiss deepened slowly, with much intentionality. His hands moved up your back and he brushed his fingertips up and down your spine, making you shiver â but not from the cold.
But then the power turned back on.
Both of you froze, lips still barely touching, blinking against the sudden harsh red LED lighting â both of you caught like a deer in headlights.Â
âShitâ Jude whispered, pulling back so fast the blanket nearly slipped off both of you.
You scrambled to your side of the bed with your heart pounding, lips still buzzing from the feeling of his. You pulled the blanket over yourself like it could hide the fact that you just made out with your childhood best friend.
The room went back to silence with the exception of the heater that thrummed back to life, filling the room back up with much needed warmth.
âSoâ Jude started, his voice awkward and loud. âPowerâs back on.â
âYepâ you said quickly, avoiding his gaze. âBack on. Power. Electricity. Thomas Edison...or whoever.â
âYeahâŠguess we donât need body heat anymoreâ Jude said light and careful, not sure if it was safe to joke yet.
You peeked at him from the corner of your eye. He was on his side of the bed with his hands tucked behind his head like he was trying to play it cool, but his lips twitched up and gave him away.
âYeah..â you mumbled, still clutching the blanket. âNo need.â
The heater roared louder as you sank further to your edge of the bed. You stared at the ceiling trying to pretend like your thoughts werenât a mess.
Jude cleared his throat, breaking the silence again. This boy really couldnât go long without talking to you. âFor what itâs worth... that wasnât the worst decision youâve ever made.â
You turned your head to meet his gaze for the first time since the power came back on. He didnât have a cocky grin this time. It seemed shy, like he wasnât sure what to do with it.
âIâll keep that in mindâ you smiled, feeling just as shy.
âYou warm enough now?â Jude asked, changing the subject so you wouldnât be too uncomfortable.
You rolled your eyes, but your smile grew. âYeah, Iâm fine. Very cozy now.â
âGoodâ he murmured, his eyes lingering on you longer than necessary. âWouldnât want you catching a cold on our honeymoon. Santa might not forgive me for that.â
You laughed softly, shaking your head. âRight. Canât mess up so close to the holidays.â
âYou get meâ he said, grinning in full force now. âNice list all day, every day.â
âMm..debatable.â you teased, moving closer to his side of the bed.Â
âHaterâ Jude interlocked his hand with yours as you both laid in bed.
You closed your eyes, comfortable warmth filling your heart from the temperature in the room, the holiday season, and from Judeâs kiss.
âGoodnight Jude.â
âGoodnight Mrs. Bellingham.â he teased, kissing your cheek.
You opened one eye to glare at him, but internally you were feeling butterflies. âDonât push your luck.â
Jude chucked, brushing his thumb against your hand. âI donât know. Iâm feeling pretty lucky tonight.â

A/N: Thank you for the request and omg thank you so much for this one specifically - I loved this idea. I had to make Spencer competitive too, because đ I wanted to.
Word count: 1.8k words
Warnings: none! Just fluff, however if anyone wanted to send a follow up request wanting a part two where there is some smut I'd be 100% okay with that... Just if you wanted to.
Part two
When Morgan told you that, after an unfortunate shoulder injury you received on the job, youâd have to take another training course to prove that you were up to being back in the field, you almost resigned on the spot. Passing the first time hadnât been the easiest feat for you, and while you were confident in your skills in the field, you knew that you were, to put it kindly, athletically challenged.Â
âThereâs no way to get out of it? No exceptions they can make to allow me into the field?â You asked, desperate to avoid Morgan putting you through the ringer.Â
âIâm sorry, sweet cheeks, but theyâre worried about your ability to perform under pressure, so I gotta push you today, okay? Youâre not alone, at least.âÂ
âIâm not?â you gave the man a questioning look as you followed him to the changing rooms reluctantly.Â
âNah, they pulled up Reid and Garcia as well, youâll all be doing the work together today.âÂ
âWhat thatâs ridiculous! Penelope isnât even in the field and Reid has never passed one of these things.â You throw your bag down on a bench, and look ahead of you into the equipment room, and sure enough, there they are, looks of equal dissatisfaction spread across their faces.Â
âYouâre preaching to the choir here, sweet cheeks. Youâre in good hands though, Iâm not going to push you too hard today.â Somehow you didnât believe that.Â
âXâ
An hour later you were flat on your back, panting harder than you had in months, dripping with sweat and feeling an ache in your bones that you hadnât felt ever. Next to you on the ground, you could hear your fellow tortureeâs moaning in pain, presumably doing their best to stay conscious.Â
âYou know, chocolate thunder, I love you, I really do, but you make it very, very hard sometimes,â Penelope squeaked out as the other man chuckled from above you. âGod Iâm not even asthmatic but I think I need an inhaler.âÂ
You chuckled at that and pushed yourself up to a seated position.Â
âI think I am asthmatic.â Reid said form his position on your other side. You stole a glance at him quickly before blushing and looking away. You didnât have a crush on him, or at least that was what you were telling yourself, but you did have a keen appreciation for how he looked in his button down shirts and FBI vests. His hair was shorter now than when you first met, and the longer parts stuck to his face with sweat. You were lucky that the strength had been all but zapped from your body because given the chance, youâd be pushing his hair out of his face for him and get lost in his eyes.Â
âCome on, guys. You finished cardio, you finished weights, all you got left is some simple self defense drills. Think you can handle that?â Morgan laughed from above you.Â
âNo! I havenât been able to handle any of this, what makes you think I can do more?â Reid moaned out on the floor next to you. You stood up, reluctantly, holding out a hand out to the man and helping to pull him to his feet.Â
You underestimate the help he needed to get up, though and he has to catch you in his arms as soon as heâs up, as you stumble into him, legs too weak. You blush as the two of you stay uncomfortably close for a few seconds, only pulling apart when Morgan lets out a sharp cough. You jump back from each other then, and pray to god that no one else in the room saw the puppy dog eyes you were unintentionally shooting up at him.Â
âOkay, so thereâs three of you, so Iâll join in for these sparring drills. Any volunteers?âÂ
âTo tangle my limbs with yours all hot and sweaty on the floor? Sweetie, I thought youâd never ask.â You hadnât seen Penelope move so fast all day, though you knew she was only half joking.Â
âOkay, so Y/L/N, Reid, you head over to that mat over there. Youâre going to start a hand-to-hand combat simulation, whoever pins the other down first wins. Weâll do best of three, okay?âÂ
Reluctantly, you made your way to the mat he indicated to, knowing that you werenât going to have as much fun as Penelope any time soon.Â
âYouâre going to start in a common self-defense scenario. Reid, youâre going to be the assailant, youâre going to come up on Y/L/N from behind, okay?â You nodded at Morganâs words and turned yourself away from Reid, feeling his presence at your back already.Â
âIs this really necessary?â He questioned from behind you, and you could practically feel Morganâs answering look on your back. Finally, he rested a light hand on your shoulder, and your session started.Â
You grabbed the hand on your shoulder and twisted it, and yourself, behind his back, gaining the upper hand quickly.Â
âY/N, come on. Take it easy, Iâm exhausted. Just let me pin you and we can call it a day.â Reid said from in front of you and your ears burnt at his suggestion.Â
âWait, why would I let you pin me? I have the upper hand right now.â He huffed out a breath and twisted his body underneath your arm, catching you off-guard as he swept your legs from underneath you. Before you could fall all the way down, though, he grabbed you around your waist and held you in what you assumed looked like a ballroom dancing dip.Â
âYou were saying?â You desperately wanted to wipe that arrogant smirk off of his lips. âActually, I have a few years more experience in the field than you, and I was probably beaten up a lot more in high school, so I wouldnât be too upset about losing to me, okay?âÂ
You returned his smile sarcastically for a second, before lifting and swinging the heel of your foot into his knee, forcing him to hit the mat as you scrambled out of his grip and repositioned yourself behind him, pulling him arm behind his back a second time in an attempt to subdue him.Â
âIf you have so much experience getting your ass kicked, Spence, why donât you just let me do it?â You enjoyed feeding his words back to him as he moaned out a little.Â
âBecause something tells me youâd enjoy it a little too much.â He somehow slips from your grip again, swiping your legs out from underneath you and climbing over you. The two of you struggle for a few seconds on the floor, but he has your legs pinned with his own, and he forces your hands above your head. Your heads are even with one another, and youâre both breathing heavily now.Â
You decide to take another approach to get out of his hold this time. Rolling your hips up into his slightly, you let your eyes rake over his body above you.Â
âYou sure youâre not enjoying this just as much, Reid?â you shoot him an innocent enough smile, but you can see the flush staining his skin, and he loosens his hold on you just enough to allow you to wrap your legs around his waist and use your bosy weight as leverage to flip your positions.Â
Now heâs on his back below you and you sit up in triumph, straddling his lap. His arms fight to get yours pinned to your side but you give back just as much as he is, and you can feel the crowd forming around you. He decides to fight dirty as well.Â
âThought youâd enjoy being under me more than youâd like being on top. I was being a gentleman,â he huffs out and manages to flip you over once more, pushing up and wrapping his legs up over your knees and forcing you onto your back. Your legs are now spread wide for him, his crotch pushed against yours, his arms gripping yours and pushing them firmly into the mat. You struggle a few more times but you know this is it. Heâs got you.Â
âWhat? Not even going to let my hands go to let me tap out?â you huff out, blowing a stray piece of hair out of your eyes. He pins both of your hands with one of his and gently tucks the hair behind your ear for you as you burn up under his touch, suddenly at a loss for words.Â
âWhat, and let you try to tackle me again? Maybe if you ask nicely, Iâll let you go.âÂ
âY/L/N, Reid, if youâre finished over there, you can grab a drink and start over. I did say this was going to be best of three.â Both of you suddenly snap your eyes up to Morgan, who has one raised eyebrow pointed at you. You realise that youâve also drawn the attention of the other gym-goers and scramble away from each other to the sound of chuckles and wolf whistles.Â
âShit,â you run a hand through your hair and get in position to go again, this time swapping with Reid so you take the position of the unsub.Â
From a distance, you donât realise that Penelope and Morgan have completely given up on their own drills.Â
âTwenty bucks says Reid gives in and kisses her first,â she whispers to her companion.Â
âThe kid? No way, heâs being too cocky for that. I reckon Y/N will do it to try and distract him first.âÂ
âIâll take that bet,â Garcia says, and they settle back into watching the two of you, completely oblivious to the fact that youâre both enjoying sparring a little bit more than you normally would be.Â
âWhen do you think I should tell them that they never needed to do this training session in the first place?âÂ
âDerek Morgan, if you are admitting right now that you made me walk through hell and back just so you could force these two beautiful idiots whom I love to recognise their feelings for each other then I am going to murder you and then bring you back to life so I can kiss you for being so smart.âÂ
âSo I shouldnât tell them?âÂ
âTake it to the grave, baby.âÂ
They turned their attention back to you, suddenly way more invested in how this was going to turn out.

I'm still in a weird mood, but at least I'm writing lol
This was supposed to be a fun/cute cumplane fic, but my brain got taken over by @mysteryteacup post about Airplane being a good writer he just couldn't afford the time to write.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
-----------
"Do you think we would have met before?"
The question came a bit out of nowhere, disrupting the soft mood of the bamboo house. The weather was warm, rain hitting the roof in a soothing pattern, the open doors bringing in the green hues inside the living room along with a gentle breeze.
Shen Yuan closed his book, setting Airplane's latest story aside. The plot was not so terrible now that they had stepped down as peak lords. Retirement had a good look on him, made his shoulders relaxed and his posture elegant, as if he had finally made himself comfortable with his body, fear a mask long forgotten.
"What do you mean?" Shen Yuan didn't pick up his fan as once he would, his own insecurities whispers from the past. Instead, he just turned his face at Airplane, both watching as smoke curled up from Airplane's long pipe.
Outside, thunder rolled over them like the Gods were dragging clouds heavy as stones.
"Before," Airplane waved at the scenery in general, and it didn't need much for Shen Yuan to catch what he meant. "I mean, I didn't participate in any of the big conventions they invited me, but..."
Shen Yuan hummed, head tilted to the side, imagining how would he react if he ever met Airplane under other circumstances. It would have been disastrous for sure, both of them struggling with the different challenges of a world without flying swords and demons. Would they even be friends? Probably not. Shen Yuan had spent so much of his time stuck on his own head, going from doctor after doctor, too bitter to enjoy nice things, dedicating his whole life on hating a poorly written book. And from other conversations, he knew that Airplane had been bitter as well, sacrificing his words and his world in the name of the next meal, the next rent.
"I don't see how," he reached for his cup of tea, heating up his cold hands against the warm porcelain. "Like you said, you never went to the conventions. I didn't either, to be honest. Too many people."
Shang Qinghua nodded slowly as he filled his lungs with smoke, letting it go through his nose. Shen Yuan waited for a bit longer, curious to see where Airplane wanted to get with his question. He was almost picking up the story again when-
"I was just..." He started as he put his pipe down to comb his hair with his fingers, putting the strands behind his ears. Another big change from when they had passed their mantle to the next generation: Airplane had started to wear his hair down, Northern braids adorning the sides of his head, silver beads glittering among chocolate brown. "Is the book good?"
The sudden change of topic made Shen Yuan blink. However, it wasn't as if he weren't used to Airplane's mind jumping around, so he just took it in stride, nodding slowly.
"I enjoyed how you developed the main character relationship with his old master, although I still think you should stop killing mothers left and right."
Airplane couldn't help but chuckle, his smile making his eyes curve into half moons.
"Leave some tropes for me to work with, bro, there's so much this poor writer can come up with!"
Shen Yuan could only roll his eyes at the other, picking up the book once more, touching the pages without actually reading it, just enjoying the feeling of paper on his hands.
"Well, it is an improvement. And as always your beasts are impeccable, I'll give you that."
And he regretted immediately the compliment when Airplane dramatically clutched his robes, pretending to faint. The little shit.
"Oh! Oh praised be the Heavens! A compliment from the immovable Peerless Cucumber! Oh my heart! My heaaart-"
Shen Yuan did his best to hold back his frustration and just throw his fan at the writer. Good thing that Airplane calmed down again, chin up so he could stare at the top of the bamboo trees outside. Only then Shen Yuan realized that the entire time Airplane hadn't looked at him.
He felt an uncomfortable weight in his stomach, heart squeezing tight.
"Are you going to tell me what is this about?"
Airplane took a long drag of his pipe, bending his head back a bit further to blow little circles in the air. He should be thankful that Shen Yuan had worked on his patience in the past decades, or he would have been hit with a fan already.
"I was thinking of your first review for Proud Immortal Demon Way," he said as he tapped the pipe on a little vase Shen Yuan had offered him earlier to use as ashtray. "You were so mean... I couldn't write for like two days."
They had commented about their forum fights before, they have even apologized for some things they had said to each other back then, but Airplane had never-
The thought of hurting him so bad to the point of making him give up on writing was-
"Huang Hua..." He whispered as he took the writer's hand close to him, brushing his thumb over the callous on his forefinger.
"Don't look at me like that, bro... Don't mind me, I'm just-" he cut himself off with a sigh, squeezing Shen Yuan's hand back. "I've been in a weird mood that's all."
Shen Yuan understood, he understood a bit too well. For all they enjoyed the benefits of magic and cultivation, they weren't meant for this immortal world, Huang Hua and him, human beings who had always had a clock ticking over their heads. He would get stuck on his own head, too, sometimes; making Binghe walk around him with soft steps and prepare his favorite foods.
He loved his husband food more than anything blessed be Airplane for deciding to make the main protagonist a good cook.
But Binghe couldn't prepare him a burger the size of his head with golden french fries.
"Well, I think the new book is going great. And to answer your question, well-" Then it was Shen Yuan's turn to pause, trying to imagine how their meeting in the real world would go. Poorly, for sure, but also... Shen Yuan was old enough, wise enough to admit that if he knew Airplane's struggles, he would probably have helped. He had been so rash in his comments because he had seen the potential, the grandeur of Airplane's mind, while describing the fauna and flora of Proud Immortal Demon Way.
"I don't know, I think if we had met, we wouldn't become friends," he admitted with a shrug, keeping his face towards the forest, feeling his cheeks burning. "I was... I was going through a lot and you had your own problems too. But depending on the day I might would have asked for an autograph." And what an embarrassing thing to admit. And while holding Airplane's hand nonetheless! Muscle memory made him take his fan and snap it open, the sound muffling Airplane's giggles.
"Well, I can't autograph your Binghe body pillow-"
"Shut up it was a collectable item!"
"- but I can autograph this copy if you want." and then he tapped the book on the table with his pipe, Shen Yuan's eyes going wide as plates.
"What?"
"I had to change a lot of things... Mostly the names and places, but-" Airplane nervously played with his hair, stealing glances at Shen Yuan's direction. "I thought, now that everything is kinda over, why not write it properly, right? Besides, the entire Proud Immortal Demon Way had never had a beta reader, although I thought about asking you sometimes way back but uh-"
"I've could have been your beta reader?!"
"Well, yes, in a way you kinda were- wait. Haven't you noticed?" Airplane let go of his hair to turn his entire body to Shen Yuan, surprise written all over his face. "Bro, you're the only person I answered more than once on the forums. Most of the time I couldn't take your ideas and use them, that would be insane and asking for a lawsuit, but when you gave me writing advice? Or when I needed to remember which wife was which or who had died? I used your comments to remember what had been happening in the last chapters."
Shen Yuan's hands got tingling all over, his face heating up to the point of boiling. He had always thought Airplane had despised him, and it was with reason. He knew he had been a hater, to the point of Airplane remembering his name after years, but he had never known that Airplane actually had paid attention, he had actually-
Wait, rewind, write what properly-
"Hold on, you're telling me that-" he picked the book again, scanning the first page and then the second, recognition downing upon him. It had felt familiar when he read it for the first time, but he had thought it was just him being used to Airplane's stories. But this...
"Proud Demon Immortal Way could have been this good?" He gasped as he turned to stare at the author, shaking the book on his hand. To which Airplane had the audacity to shrug, light pink dusting his cheeks.
"Told you many times, Bro. No time to edits, had to pay the bills."
"Airplane, how many drafts you wrote before posting that monstrosity?"
"Uh." He turned his face away again, scratching the back of his neck, then his cheek. "I mean I didn't have a draft. I wrote it down in one sitting most of the time-"
Shen Yuan was going to pass out. No wonder the story made no sense most of the times! And he still was able to follow some type of plot?!
During their lifes as cultivators, Shen Yuan faced many situations in which Airplane had his turn to shine. He might not be aware of it, oblivious writer that he was, but he could be insanely smart and think fast enough to avoid wars between tribes that any other person would fumble and make it worse. So he knew how intelligent and smart Airplane was, although he wouldn't straight up compliment him like that.
But this... Six thousand six hundred and sixty-six chapters with no draft or beta reader? This... Was insane.
"You better honor Shen Qingqiu's past this time," he heard himself say, mouth moving before his brain could catch up. And funny enough, he had mean it. "You better give him closure so I can at least glare at Yue Qingyuan without feeling guilty."
This time Airplane threw his head back and laughed, hand over his belly, the other tapping the table. Then he turned to look at Shen Yuan with his sly fox smile, forefinger moving side to side.
"Nonono, I'm sorry, bro. I'm not writing to make the readers happy this time," he said with a sharp nod, tapping his fingers against his temple. "There's a story to be told, and I'm not gonna mess up a second time."
And Shen Yuan felt as if he should be angry, he should shake Airplane by his shoulders and scream, but at the same time... He felt like Airplane had passed his test, one he wasn't aware he had set for the other.
He huffed, sliding the book over the table until it was closer to the author, opening the first page.
"You better think of a hell of dedicatory then," he said as he got up to pick writing materials, warmth spreading through his chest to the sound of Airplane's laughter.
--------
Shen Yuan is going to find out some things about Binghe and Mobei in the book lol
Again, thank you for giving it a read!
See you next time~

TWTHH Spinoff: Written in the Stars [Teaser]
Pairing: military strategist!Mingi x royal physician!reader
AU: historical au (Joseon era)
Summary: Mingi had spent countless years searching for the angel who saved his life when he was on the verge of death. He believed god was on his side when she finally reappeared before him, but she was now so near yet so far, so unobtainable. No longer just a young medical trainee, she had become an esteemed royal physicianâa woman working within the palace walls. And what did that mean? It meant she now belonged to His Majesty.
A/N: Credits to @sundaybossanova for contributing the main idea of Mingi's spinoff. I might have changed most of the proposed plot, but the MC's identity as a physician and how the two first meet remains Sunny's idea.
Main Story | Spinoff Masterlist | Part 1
"Ooh, guess who's here again," your colleague remarked, nodding toward the entrance of the royal medical hall where a certain tall, handsome military strategist strode in for what felt like the thousandth time this week. You sighed, refusing to look up from your book. "Please tell me it's not him."
She gulped, watching him approach. "Hate to break it to you, but it is your not-so-secret admirer, General Officer Song."
"Good afternoon, ladies. I, uh⊠I'm here today becauseâ" his familiar deep voice rang out as he paused at a respectful distance.
Clearing your throat, you finally closed your book and turned to face him with a courteous smile, finishing his sentence for him, "Good afternoon to you too, Officer Song. Let me guess, you're here because you got hurt during training again?"
Instead of the usual sheepish nod, he shook his head and nervously fiddled with his fingers. "No, actually⊠I came to ask if⊠i-if you would like to accompany me to the royal banquet celebrating Joseon's unity with Ruhon tonight, Royal Physician Ahn?"
You froze at his question, and your colleague mirrored your reaction. The two of you exchanged bewildered glances, trying to process the fact that this fool was openly pursuing you, a woman working in the palace, someone who belonged to the King.
Does he realise what he's doing?
You're probably wondering why I'm posting this on a Wednesday (depending on where you are) but it's a public holiday here today in Malaysia, so surprise!! It's finally Princess Mingi's turn! The way y'all thought his spinoff would be the first and here he is HAHA
In case you're confused and are not sure what I mean by MC belonging to the King, please read âšthisâš
As always, I'll do my best to get the first part out as soon as I can! Let me know your thoughts on the concept! <3

Halfa Cass Chapter 8 Part œ
masterpost
Black Bat got back to Gotham well before flying time. She took a shower to get the stinkyman stink out of her hair and apologetically took the green jacket to the wash. Cigarettes. Yuck!Â
She joined the family for dinner. Damibat was there, face like thunder and clearly Not Talking to Alfred or Brucedad. Cass slid into her place and gave him a nod. He returned it. Very civil. We are professionals, Cain, you and I and no one else in this dump.
Cass hid a faint smile.
No Timibird. No Jaybird. Those were rarer birds to fly out to Wayne Manor, so she wasnât too surprised. JustâŠ
Cass readjusted her body language to be fine and normal. She didnât need her flock family close for comfort. She was fine and normal! Yes, Stinkyman had said that sheâd died. Yes. He said that.
(That fits with the pain of the electrical shock and the voltage necessary to short out bat computer, Cassâs Black Bat brain said sensibly.)
Cass hid a shudder.
But heâd also said that there may be no repercussions! As long as she left it alone and did not think about it. She had permission to pretend it didnât happen. That was the best thing to try. She would eat her dinner and take her nap and then go flying.
Alfie served dinner. Cass caught herself playing with her fork, winding noodles into a secret pattern that might somehow make her feel better.Â
âIs there something wrong with your pasta, Miss Cassandra?â
She looked up at him guiltily through her eyelashes and stopped playing with her food. Big sigh.Â
âWill Master Timothy be returning to the manor tonight?â Alfie asked Brucedad.
Brucedad cleared his throat and put his spoon down for a moment. âI expect that he might spend the night with his friends in San Francisco,â he said.
Cass read the words beneath the words. Timbird was with the Young Justice friends. New plan. Not discussed. Heâd been sent to Amity Park to investigate the laboratory where Cass had
(died. Where Cass had died.)
Been with Captain Marvel. And if he was out all day, it meant heâd found something.
Her heart jumped in her chest. She wanted to ask questions. She wanted to make sure that no one knew.Â
Suspicious, Cass told herself sternly. Suspicious behavior. So she drizzled hot sauce on her pasta and ate a big mouthful.
Damibat copied her after a moment.Â
Brucedad and Alfie did not wince, but they made their âwhite man thinks spice is scaryâ faces.Â
Cass quirked a smile. She put a lot more hot sauce. It was too much sauce. It turned the pasta red.
Brucedad made an unhappy sound and deliberately looked away from her plate. Haha. He was thinking: my stomach hurts just looking at that. Oh god, I'm old. Acid reflux. Heartburn. Acid reflux heartburn heartburn-
Bullying her batdad made her feel a little better. How could she be an undead abomination if she was, in fact, a naughty girl? Check and mate, existential horror. Cass finished her dinner and danced to her room on her toes, feeling the music from the last time she had performed on stage. She did a leap for the sheer joy of movement.
Everything still seemed better when she got up from her nap. Cass stretched on the floor beside her bed, and then flopped into a side saddle stretch to happily drink a bottle of green tea. She took it to the kitchen and into the machine for a wash and stole a peek into the fridge to see the after-flight snack. Protein balls! Chocolate and nuts? Cass stole one and fled to the batcave before anyone could see the crime.
Timbird was waiting in the cave on the big screen. He looked very tense. He and Batdad both looked at her when she came down the stairs.
Oh. There was a rock in her stomach.Â
Cass beamed at them and flipped off the stairs to land in a gymnast stance behind Brucedadâs chair. âHi, Timbird,â she said, acting normally.Â
âHi, Cass,â he said, sparing her a tired smile. âI was just telling Bruce how my trip out to Amity went.â She nodded, waiting for elaboration. Tense. âThere were fresh tank tracks.âÂ
Oh. What. âWhat?â Cass repeated, because it was worth repeating. âTanks?â She mimed her mind being blown.
âYes, I figure that you would have noticed if theyâd been there before.â Tim somehow seemed even unhappier. âThe running theory is that someone was keeping an eye on the place and something about your trip out there alerted them.â
âMachine. Electricity.â
âExtremely suspicious,â Cass said on rote.Â
âYes,â Batdad agreed gruffly. âThereâs no legal justification for that kind of force being deployed in the continental United States and no record that weâve found for it.â
âDefinitely criminal.â Cass hovered for a moment. âShould I help?â
Timbird and Batdad exchanged glances. âI think that I would be best used in the cave tonight on research,â Batdad decided. âIâll run comms while Iâm here. Cass, can you and Robin handle things? Thereâs nothing in particular going on, aside from the weapons case. Robin has the information on that. We think that weâve tracked the gangâs mechanic down.â
Cass gave a double thumbs up, more than a little relieved that she didnât have to do anything related to Amity Park today. âOkay, I find mechanic and beat peace into them,â she said cheerfully.Â
âYou investigate and observe them,â Batdad repeated, faux-stern. Hint of smile. Naughty kid, tugging at my cape.
Cass nodded just as seriously. âRobin and I investigate, observe, beat until peaceful.â She smacked a fist into her palm.
Timbird snorted. âIt sounds like a plan. Iâm with YJ tonight, so Iâll log off.â
âByebye birdie.â Cass waved on her way to the equipment lockers.

thunderstorms | Lewis x Reader
Summary: Your mom and his dad have been in a serious relationship for a little while, but you do everything to avoid interacting with Lewis. Heâs everything youâll never be. How could you compete with that amount of fame, glory, power and multiple world championships. So you kept your distance in order to avoid hearing your mom praise him endlessly, but that was until a mandatory family vacation. Living in the same house, under the same roof, you couldnât avoid him anymore. Neither could either of you avoid the tension in between you.Â
Themes: smut, stepbrother!lewis, age gap (reader is in her early twenties), forbidden/taboo romance
The thunder sounded like it shook the entire cabin.Â
You froze on the wooden stairs, holding on to the handrail for dear life. You liked to think that you were a brave human. But thunderstorms scared the hell out of you. Especially right now given you and your âfamilyâ were in some cabin in the middle of nowhere.Â
You couldâve been on a nice beach, soaking the warmth of the sun, swimming in the ocean, drinking all day, going on boat rides. But no, the golden son â your soon to be step brother â decided to take the family to a cabin, in the mountains where it is cold, humid and dark all the time. Where it rains incessantly.Â
He wanted to hike. And naturally his dad and your mom agreed. And naturally your opinion didnât matter. Sometimes you thought, all of you didnât matter whenever he was concerned. After all, you were nowhere near as accomplished as he was.Â
He had it all. He was loved by millions, admired, worshipped. People loved him, everyone wanted to be his friend, everyone wanted to be seen with him.Â
All you had was a boutique in Paris, that too it was gifted to you by one of your momâs many ex husbands. It was your entire life now. But no matter how luxurious, elegant, sleek and modern a Parisian boutique is, it cannot compare to multiple motorsport world championships.Â
Hence, your suggestion of going on vacation somewhere warm was immediately ignored. As expected. And here you were now, still holding on to the handrail.
You finally let go of it, and wrapped your blanket tighter around you. You were on your way downstairs in search of something warm to drink. This whole cabin was freezing despite the multiple heaters.Â
âDamn him,â You whispered under your breath as you walked into the open kitchen, turning just one light on and leaving the rest of the kitchen in darkness. âCould be on a beach partying right now,â You muttered bitterly like an old woman as you gathered your things to make your hot chocolate. âBut no,â You hissed as you put the kettle on. âHis Majesty wanted to be in this damn forest,â You grabbed your mug and put your cocoa powder in, âWe could be killed in here,â You kept muttering as you waited for the water to boil. âGod knows whatâs in these woods, wild life, serial killers,â You scoffed. âAs if he doesnât get enough adrenalineâ,âÂ
A smooth voice spoke up from one of the dark corners of the kitchen, âStill cursing my name I see?âÂ
You gasped, turning around to face the dark corner immediately. There he was, the light from his phone allowing you to look at his ridiculously handsome face, and his ridiculously handsome smirk. His braids were out of his usual ponytail. It angered you almost that he looked even better this way.Â
You opened your mouth to say something, but ended up squealing instead as the loudest thunder ever shook the entire cabin once again.Â
You crouched in place, holding onto the kitchen counter. Meanwhile Lewis broke into chuckles, laughing at you right in your face.Â
âYou are seriously scared of thunderstorms?â He laughed some more.Â
You frowned at him, your bravery coming out of hiding now the thunder had passed. âOh shut up. Of all places you had to bring us here?â You shook your head and turned around to carry on making your hot chocolate.Â
You heard the chair screech as Lewis stood up from the small table, you heard him walk over to where you stood. Your body became hyper aware of each one of his moves.Â
The way he placed both of his hands on the counter, on either side of you, caging you in.Â
The way his torso pressed gently against your back.Â
The way he subtly nuzzled your neck from behind.Â
You froze. Lewisâ lips brushed against the back of your neck as he spoke. âIs that why youâre down here so late at night? Hmm?â He teased, âYou needed your big brother to keep you safe from the thunderstorm?âÂ
âYouâre not my fucking brother.â You gasped in surprise when you felt him purposely drag his lips up your neck. âLewisâŠâ You whispered, âWhat are you doing?â Your voice ended up sounding a lot more like a quiet moan.Â
Youâd be lying if you said this was the first time the two of you were crossing lines which you knew you shouldnât. The man was drop dead gorgeous, it was hard to resist him.Â
âWhat?â He acted oblivious even as he left soft, open mouth kisses all over your neck and slightly exposed shoulder. âIâm just helping you make hot chocolate before the water gets cold.â He said as one of his tattooed hands wrapped around your waist while the other grabbed the kettle and poured hot water into your mug.Â
The warm drink was the last thing on your mind as Lewis kept kissing up and down your neck. âLewisâŠâ You murmured again, âWe shouldnât.âÂ
He didnât stop. You didnât want him to stop. He knew that.Â
He let go of you momentarily and gave you enough space to turn around and face him. Fuck, that was a mistake. In the dim, partially lit kitchen he looked too tempting. Big brown eyes, how could you resist those?Â
The blanket you had around yourself fell to the ground. Now you were left in tiny shorts and an almost see-through pj top. Lewisâ eyes roamed your body shamelessly. Your face burned when you admitted to yourself that you liked it.Â
âLook at you,â He murmured, as he placed his hand on your waist again. His other hand came up to grab your chin. He leaned in slightly, his scent acting like an aphrodisiac. âWhat am I supposed to do when youâre walking around half naked, little sis?â He accused in that dreamy voice. âAm I supposed to keep my hands to myself while you walk around looking like this?âÂ
You couldnât look away from his rich, dark brown eyes. Bottomless, warm, inviting. His eyes had an intensity that was hard to ignore.Â
You were aware of how his thumb drew lazy circles on your hip. You felt weak in your knees. Lewis just smirked. âYou better stop looking at me with those fuck-me eyes if you donât want me to bend you over this counter right here right now.â He whispered, leaning in even closer to kiss the corner of your mouth.Â
You were dragged back to reality once you broke eye contact. So you cleared your throat and pulled away from his embrace. The air felt immediately colder as you pulled away from him.Â
Lewis picked up your blanket and wrapped it around you again. You muttered a quick âthanksâ as you clutched the blanket under your chin, securely as if it would keep you safe from him. Then he handed you your mug and said, âWanna watch a movie?âÂ
You shouldâve just gone to bed. You shouldâve said no.Â
Seeing you were contemplating, Lewis added, âUnless of course you want to go upstairs and be all by yourself.âÂ
Right then, another loud thunder echoed throughout the entire place. And your decision was made.Â
So you found yourself in the living area, on the same couch as Lewis while some horror movie played on TV. And with each loud boom from the sky, you scooted closer and closer to him. He chuckled each time you jumped due to the thunder, but he made no further comments.Â
After a while, and some more scooting he said, âJust come here, will you?â He patted the spot next to him and opened his arms.Â
Maybe it was the thunder. Or the fact that he looked so nice, warm and comfy in his sweatpants and sweater. Or maybe it was that you were subconsciously dying to be in his arms. Whatever the case, you slid right up to him and let him wrap his arms around you as you laid your head on his shoulder.Â
âThere, see,â He said, âIsnât it nice to let big brother take care of you?â He teased.Â
You scoffed, but remained in his arms. âYouâre not my brother. I hate you and your big ass forehead.âÂ
Lewis laughed. You smiled too, but hid it quickly.Â
âCan I have some of your hot chocolate?â He asked after a few silent seconds.Â
âI drank it all.â You said.Â
âShame,â He murmured, âI really wanted a taste of it.â He sounded almost seductive as he said it.Â
There.Â
You could feel the shift in the air just then. That line, you were gonna cross it again.Â
You pulled away and looked right into his soft brown eyes. âLewisâŠâ You whispered.Â
âCome here, baby,â He whispered, cupping your face and leaning in for a kiss.Â
You melted instantly, kissing his warm and soft lips back immediately. You didnât even hesitate before making your way to his lap, straddling him without breaking the kiss. You felt him smirk into the kiss, you did too.Â
Too late to turn back now, thatâs what the smirks meant.Â
You only pulled away to take a breath, looking into his eyes to find him just as breathless as you. Neither one of you said anything. Not even when you whimpered as you felt his erection through the layers of clothing separating your bodies.Â
âTell me you want this,â He whispered. His hands touching you wherever he could. Sliding across your now exposed thighs, up and down your sides and fingers caressing your skin, dangerously close to where you ached for him.Â
You didnât say anything, but Lewis looked down and found your eager fingers toying with the waistband of his sweatpants. He smirked when he saw that, and looked up at you with a cocky look in his eyes.Â
âIs that what you want?â He asked, sounding just as cocky as he looked.Â
You nodded, heart racing at the thought of what you were about to do. But it was too late to turn back now. You held his heated stare as you lowered his sweatpants and wrapped your hand around him, slowly stroking his cock, making him throw his head back and groan under his breath.Â
You leaned in close to him again, âI want you,â you whispered against his lips and then pressed your mouth to his. He kissed you back immediately. âI want you inside of me.â You said, urgently and breathlessly.Â
You slipped your tongue past his lips and slowly stroked the top of his mouth. He groaned into your mouth, and you immediately bucked your hips against his, your clothed core rubbing against his cock and he grunted.Â
His hands rubbed up and down your sides, fingers sliding under your thin top until he could toy with your nipples.Â
âTake me,â He whispered against your mouth.Â
You pulled away from the kiss briefly, quickly removing your shorts before you lowered yourself down on his cock, earning quiet moans and groans out of both of you as you sank down on him.Â
Your body resisted just a little to fit him inside. Your face felt hot at the thought of him being too big to fit inside your wet cunt. Lewis felt it too, and an arrogant smirk formed on his gorgeous face.Â
His voice was cocky and laced with lust as he spoke, âI bet youâre regretting wasting all that time on your little French boys now, huh?âÂ
You scoffed, deciding to mess with him. âOh, trust me. Theyâre not little.âÂ
His brain short circuited. For a moment he loathed every man who ever touched you like this.Â
Lewis glared at you for a moment, before he grabbed you by the hips thrust up into you. You gasped in surprise as you felt him fill you up. He was nice and snug inside you as he whispered, his voice filled with promises, âIâm gonna ruin every single man for you.âÂ
Your lust-drunk brain was barely able to process his words. All you knew was that you wanted more. His cock throbbed against your pulsating walls, causing the tiniest bit of friction which drove you both insane. It felt like he was splitting you in half.
âAh,â You whimpered, âLewis, pleaseâŠâÂ
He grabbed you by the hips and guided you up and then back down on his cock. You whimpered as he groaned when the tip of his cock reached sensitive places you never knew existed.Â
âDoes big brotherâs cock feel good? Huh?â He taunted before leaning forward to wrap his lips around one of your clothed nipples. He gave it a hard enough suck to make you moan, then moved on to the other one.Â
Fuck. This was so wrong.Â
The forbidden nature of it gave you a warm rush. You just whimpered and nodded as you moved faster, impaling yourself down on his cock each time.Â
You felt him filling you up completely each time, feeling him reach deeper into you with each thrust. His hand slipped between the two of you and found your clit, he rubbed it lazily.Â
When he noticed that you were comfortable with the pace, he let go of your hip and wrapped his hand around your throat instead. âYou look so good like this, little sis.â He teased. âTaking my cock like youâre made for it.âÂ
You couldnât help but lean down to kiss him, biting down and tugging at his plump, soft bottom lip while you sped up, and his cock stretched you out each time. Lewis pulled your warm body closer to his as you bounced on his cock moaning and whining, feeling him stretch you out as you stared into his dark eyes.Â
Lewis rhythmically thrust his hips up each time to match your movements. Brows furrowing and panting while you rode his cock, throwing his head back and moaning.Â
âShh,â You whispered as you kissed along his bearded cheek, barely able to keep from moaning yourself.Â
He panted against your cheek, kissing the side of your face and gripping your jaw with his hand. âYou feel so good,â He whispered.
âDamn youâŠâ You didnât slow down as you felt your orgasm wash over you, and he kept thrusting his hips up into you as your eyes rolled back and you moaned out loud as you came, hard, feeling your walls squeezing and clenching around him as you came undone.Â
You panted and leaned forward, pushing your face into his neck to catch your breath.Â
Lewis came right after you, his warm load spilling inside of you, as he wrapped his arms around you and pressed your trembling body closer to him. âFuckâŠâ He swore before saying, âI think I like thunderstorms even more now.â
You still sounded breathless as you said, "I still hate you."

Power Outage
grey november au
â of course there had to be a power outage on the night of a thunderstorm.
â you were still fairly new to this job and adjusting to living in the compound.
â you had a deathly fear of the dark and thunderstorms. so it was just your luck, when the lights began to flicker as you were wrapped up in your blanket, reading a book.
â you let out a yell in fear, coincidently, a roar of thunder occurred. you cried out, burying your head under your covers.
â that was thing about you, even when you were younger you had this fear. your brother had to bring you to his bed to comfort you. as you refused to sleep alone, petrified of the loud noises.
â your thoughts would run wild, imagining the worse cases. what if the thunder hit you? what if your brother got hurt and you were fine?
â your brother would stay up with you until it was over. those nights consisted of late night scrabble games in his room, him making you hot chocolate, him "letting" you win..God you missed that .
â you were shaking under your covers when suddenly, the door opened. "Hun, are you okay? I heard screams-" Nat paused, seeing a shaking figure under your blanket. Of course Natasha heard you, her room is right next to yours.
â no response. Nat came over to you and pulled you into her arms. "Shh..it's okay detka, m' here." She mumbled, holding you.
â she didn't pull thr covers off of your head. Letting you determine the pace of bow you wanted this to go.
â after a moment of her shushing and comforting you, you finally let the covers off. "Now there's that pretty face I love to see." She smiled, wiping your tears.
â "N-natty" you whimpered. Her heart nearly melted at the nickname. You never called her that, but your voice sounded so shaky it brought a frown.
â "what's wrong, honey?" She frowned, tracing circles on the back of your palm.
â you pouted "m' scared", tightening your grip on the older woman. her eyes soften, "i'm right here dear, i'll protect you. do you want to stay in my room with me? it's nice and warm in there. you can bring your blanket if you want" she smiled at you.
â you nodded in response, clutching your blanket in your arms. the spy lifted you up, you squealed in response. most definitely not expecting that.
â "n-natty what are you doing??" you giggled. she smiled, seeing you laugh "just protecting you, dear! there might be monsters on the floor! don't want them to snatch your feet!!" she exclaimed, carrying you to her room.

Make Me Happy
Huh Yunjin x Reader
GENRE: fluff
TYPE: One Shot, Long Fic
INSPIRED BY: Make Me Happy-WheeIn
"And Zeus, with his mighty thunder in hand, ruled the sky and Olympus," you read, flipping to the next page of the storybook and showcasing the colorful pictures of Zeus.
It was a Saturday morning, and you were immersed in reading stories for the children at the hospital. As a child psychology major, you relished the opportunity to connect with different children each Saturday. Your love for children made spending time with them while earning extra credit a win-win situation.
"Zeus has a wife named Hera, the Queen of Gods," you continued, pointing to the illustrated photo of Hera on her throne.
"Sometimes Zeus made mistakes, like having other friends. Hera didn't like that, but they still ruled together on Mount Olympus."
âMs. Y/N?â a cute voice squeaked from the circle of kids in front of you. It was a small girl with short blonde hair and thick glasses.
âYes, Kayla?â you smiled at her.
âWhat is M-I-S-T-R-E-S-S-E-S?â Kayla squinted, trying to read from the book you were showing. The rest of the kids leaned forward, curious about the illustrations.
âM-I-S-T-RâŠâ The word clicked in your head, and you looked at the little girl in shock. âWhere did you learn that word?â
âThere,â Kayla pointed at the bottom corner of the book with her small finger.
You quickly turned the book around to check the illustration. There, at the bottom, was a scribble of words written in black marker.
Friends? More like mistresses. LOL
âWhat the fuck?â you muttered under your breath.
This was one of the childrenâs books you brought from your departmentâs lounge, where they keep all materials used in class.
A chorus of oohs broke out around you at the sound of your mild exclamation.
âI mean, what the fuzz?â you hastily changed your choice of words, hoping the hospital staff didnât hear what you just said. âWhat the fuzzballs.â
Luckily, the children giggled at that, immediately distracted when a boy named Jake decided to share the story about how he swallowed his catâs fuzzballs and ended up in the hospital.
The storybook took you longer to finish reading as you made sure to check every page before showing the kids the illustrations. Thankfully, there wasnât any more writing in the rest of the book. You covered the words with a Post-It before returning it to the lounge.
It happened again after a few weeks. You were reading a Dora the Explorer book to the children, and there it was, in the smack middle of the book, a sentence scribbled in the same scrawly, obnoxiously bolded handwriting.
âCan you find the chocolate tree?â you read before staring at the page in horror.
This chick is blind, FR.
The kids whispered, trying to understand what the handwriting meant.
âC-H-I-C-KâŠchick!â Carter, a red-haired boy, exclaimed loudly, proud of himself for being able to read it.
âThere arenât any chickens in Dora,â Kayla chastised him, shaking her head as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
âThere is too,â he huffed, pressing a smudgy finger onto the page. âIt says here! C-H-I-C-K. Chick.â
âWell, thereâs only the big red hen. No chicks,â Kayla insisted, standing up to grab the book from your hands. The situation was about to get worse in a few seconds as you saw Carterâs face redden in frustration.
âOkay! Thatâs enough story time for today,â you quickly stood up, snapping the book shut. âWho wants to play Monopoly?â
âME! ME! ME!â The kids screamed in excitement, forgetting the book altogether. It was a relief that kids forget about things so easily.
You, on the other hand, did not forget about this.
.
.
.
.
âSomeone keeps leaving nasty comments in the children's books,â you huffed, dropping the Dora book in front of your best friend, Chaeryeong.
You had found her sitting in front of one of the long tables, peacefully eating her lunch in your departmentâs lounge. The room was slightly crowded, filled with students doing their projects or chatting with each other before classes.
Narrowing her eyes at your rude entrance, Chaeryeong slowly took off her headphones and dropped her chopsticks.
âNo hello beautiful?â she asked, rolling her eyes playfully. âWhy are you reading children's books anyway? Are you seven years old or something?â
âIâm reading them for the kids at the hospital,â you said impatiently, flipping open to the page where the messy handwriting was located.
âSee? This person keeps writing in these books! The kids keep reading them out!â
âThis chick blind, for real?â Chaeryeong snickered after reading it aloud. âWell, this person has a good point. Dora IS blind as fuck.â
You huffed, annoyed at how unserious the raven-haired girl was. But before you could open your mouth, a soft chuckle came from the table next to yours. You turned your head to come face to face with the queen bee and the captain of the volleyball team, Huh Yunjin. She grinned at you as she casually leaned on her elbows, not hiding the fact that she was eavesdropping on your conversation as the rest of her friends were engrossed in another conversation.
âSee? Even Yunjin unnie agrees,â Chaeryeong said, slyly bringing Yunjin into the conversation.
She knew about your little crush on the captain ever since freshman year. You were just too chicken to strike up a conversation with her, and she was flirty by default, breaking hearts left and right. You just didnât want to go through the heartbreak, after seeing so many girls crying in the bathroom over her.
Your eyes met Yunjinâs chocolate ones, her bright gaze felt like it was penetrating your soul. People werenât kidding about her beauty; she really was a sight to look at. You felt your face flush as her gaze never left yours.
âYeah, she definitely needs to get herself some glasses,â Yunjin pushed her headband a bit higher to keep her orange hair out of her face. âBut I support an unbothered queen.â
Yunjin let out a little laugh, her nose scrunching adorably. You couldnât help but stare, mesmerized by the way her full lips pulled back to show her glistening white teeth.
âStop being gay,â Chaeryeong whispered, nudging you with her legs to wake you out of the trance.
Huffing in embarrassment and annoyance, you grabbed the Dora book and the rest of your stuff and started to put them into your bag.
âWhere are you going?â Chaeryeong asked.
You could see the volleyball captain staring at you from the corner of your eye, and your ears flushed a deeper red.
âIâm going to find someone who understands how serious this situation is,â you ignored the soft snickers coming from both of the girls and turned around to walk out of the lounge.
âLet me know if you found someone who managed to get that chick a pair of glasses,â Chaeryeong called from behind you, laughter in her voice.
.
.
.
.
Cute. That was the first thing Yunjin thought when she saw you during the freshman orientation.
She was there to recruit people into the volleyball team when she noticed you, sitting in the second row, eyes barely open, mouth slightly agape as a few wisps of hair fell into your face when you started to doze off.
Ignoring the knowing looks of her teammates, she intentionally tried to get close to you, all but failing drastically. She ended up recruiting all of your close friends into the volleyball team, all but you. You were definitely not a land animal; that was all that Yunjin could say after watching you fall face-first onto the ground at any given chance.
But at least her efforts werenât all gone to waste. Having recruited Chaeryeong and your roommate Yeji onto the team meant that she could see you in the bleachers in every game and often see you swing by during practice. Her delusional self convinced her that you were there to see her, but deep down she knew that you never even spared her a second glance.
Like today, you had once again rushed away from her as if she was the most menacing thing in the room, and you wanted nothing but to end the conversation with her. Was she really this scary? Or had you found out about her obsession with you?
âYou should try to talk to her more, you know?â Chaeryeong said, raising her eyebrows as she watched her captain gaze after you leaving the room.
âHuh?â Yunjin quickly composed herself, leaning back in her chair. âWith who?â
âY/N. I know you like her.â The raven-haired girl said with a grin. âAnd I approve.â
âPfft, I donât even know her that well.â Yunjin whispered, lowering her voice to make sure her friends didnât hear this conversation.
âIâm not Dora. I see how you look at her,â Chaeryeong pushed.
âIâI donât look at her differently.â
Yunjin stood her ground, staring at Chaeryeong, ready to deny everything that came out of the younger girlâs mouth. But Chaeryeong wasnât intimidated, shrugging nonchalantly as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
âShe finds your jokes in the books funny. Donât let her reaction fool you.â
Laughing at Yunjinâs expression, Chaeryeon added, âI know your ugly handwriting.â
With that, the slender girl slipped her bag onto her shoulder and stood up, smiling mischievously at the blushing captain in front of her.
âCanât believe it took you two years to make a move.â
.
.
.
.
Unconvincingly as it sounded, it really started with boredom.
Yunjin was alone in the student lounge last semester, skipping her least favorite class from Professor âDead-Eyeâ Yoo and taking the liberty of finally having some alone time. Yunjin knew she was quite popular, being the captain and all, but sometimes she just wanted to go back to being that shy gamer girl she once was.
The lounge was deserted, and Yunjin flopped onto the sofa she sometimes saw you sitting on in the far-right corner. A couple of bookshelves were situated next to the sofa, completely filled with childrenâs books.
Scrunching her eyes in confusion about why there were so many books for kids when it was a university department lounge, Yunjin decided not to question it and got to read to kill time. But being attentive was not her strongest trait, so she soon relented to her immaturity and boredom.
Grabbing a sharpie from her bag, she started to leave dumb comments here and there in different books, as if she was the biggest book reviewer in the world. It was an immature and stupid thing to do, she knows. But at least it somehow managed to catch your attention, albeit months later.
God mustâve taken pity on her, watching her suffer through countless blind dates that her friends had arranged her to through her first two years of college, finally giving her the chance to know you better.
It was a few days after her encounter with you at the lounge with Chaeryeong, and she found you scribbling down in a brown notebook on the sofa next to the bookshelves again, this time alone. Deciding to brave herself just once, she took her breath and mustered all of her confidence before making her way towards you and flopped down onto the empty space next to you. She was going to take a chance and take Chaeyeongâs words as advice.
âHey Y/N.â Yunjin gave you a boyish charming grin, her orange hair tousled perfectly across her leather jacket. She was effortlessly cool, and her sudden close proximity made your face heat up.
âUh, hi, Yunjin-ssi.â You quickly bowed in respect.
âPlease drop the honorifics.â The captain waved her hand, giving you a wink. âJust Yunjin is fine.â
You nodded, eyes flittering from Yunjinâs mesmerizing large ones to the record book in your hand. Unsure of what to do, you decided to awkwardly continue writing.
âWhat are you doing?â Yunjin slightly leaned towards you, her vanilla perfume invading your senses.
âUm... I-â You shook your head to gather your thoughts, âIâm keeping track of the books that were written on. We would have to replace them.â
âAhh⊠the Dora book?â
âYeah. I also found a new one this week, in the Ice Age books.â
âReally? What did it say?â Yunjin asked, trying to keep her face casual.
âIt simply just wrote LIA next to Sidâs face.â You said, biting your lip to hold in your smile.
Yunjin, on the other hand, let out a booming laugh, enjoying the joke way too much.
âIâll let Lia know sheâs famous.â Yunjin said, after taking a few minutes to finally come down from her laughter.
Even though she was the one who wrote it, she still found it funny that her roommate, Lia, looked exactly like Sid the sloth when she was sleeping.
Trying to hide your grin, you said, âItâs not funny. The kids keep reading out the comments.â
The sight of your smiling made Yunjinâs heart soar. She was proud of herself for succeeding in making you smile, despite you not knowing it was her who left the comments. With this affirmation, Yunjin continued to make jokes with you as you talked for a bit. She would do anything to charm you, and she already had a plan hatched in her brain, something to do with your notebook.
âIâll talk to you later, Y/N.â The captain squeezed your hand as she saw her friends calling for her.
You were disappointed to see her go, but you knew that she had better things to do than talk to you. She was, after all, one of the most popular and busiest students in your major.
âSee you.â You muttered, ears red at the feeling of her hand on yours.
The captain walked towards the door, before turning back and raising her hand as a goodbye in a goofy boyish way that made your heart flutter.

It happened again, but this time, it was in your record book. Again, in obnoxiously bolded and capitalized letters, the mystery person managed to annoy the hell out of you, but you couldnât help but find a bit of amusement in them.
HI :)
They had written this in the smack middle of a new page in your notebook, wasting the entire page. Deciding to write back for the first time, you took out your pen and wrote a small line under their loud greeting.
Donât write in my notebook :)
Thinking this was able to stop the culprit from writing anything else, you shut the book satisfied. Oh, how wrong you were.
The next day, you found a light pink post-it stuck on top of the original page.
BUT I WANT TO BE FRIENDS :(
Annoyed at the culprit, but also at yourself for finding them cute for using a post-it instead of just writing on your book.
No.
You wrote back, slightly hesitating before slamming shut the notebook altogether. Although intrigued and wanting to know who was behind the writing, it was probably best that you donât encourage them.
âGetting ready to dive deep into another childrenâs book of yours?â A familiar voice broke you out of your thoughts.
Your heart couldn't help but lurch at the sight of the orange-haired captain smiling at you, her nose scrunched adorably.
âYeah, any recommendations? I know you love these books.â You teased back, already comfortable with her presence.
Despite not really getting the chance to talk to her that much, she had this aura that made you feel calm and relaxed, as if you could trust her with anything.
âIâll recommend one only if you read it to me.â Yunjin flirted easily, giving you a charming grin and wink.
Caught off guard at her response, your face turned a slight shade of pink. âI-â
âIâm just kidding, Y/N.â The taller girl laughed at your flustered state. âI used to read âThe Jungle Bookâ to my sister when she was a kid, and she loved it. Maybe the kids at the hospital would love it too.â
"You have a younger sister?â You asked. This was new information to you, but then again, you and Yunjin never really talked before this semester.
âYeah, we have a really big age difference though. Sheâs 10 years younger than me.â Yunjinâs eyes glinted at the mention of her sister.
âShe must be really happy to have you as a sister.â
âI hope so." Yunjin said with a sad smile, âI havenât seen her in a couple of years. Sheâs still in the US with the rest of my family.â
âIt mustâve been hard for you to move here all alone.â You hesitantly reached out your hand to squeeze the Captainâs forearm in comfort.
She gave you a grin at your touch, and your heart fluttered at how her eyes seem to twinkle whenever she met yours.
âIâm fine now.â She said, putting her other hand on top of yours. âI made a lot of friends, and also, I got the chance to meet you.â
The flirty queen-bee you knew was back. You cleared your throat to shake off the nerves she managed to give you and pulled back from the trance she pulled you into.
Quickly checking your watch as an excuse to avoid looking into her eyes again, you noticed it was almost five p.m., the time Chaeryeon left for practice.
âDonât you have practice?â You asked.
âNope.â Yunjin made a pop sound at the P, which you found adorable. âWe have a game next week, so I gave the girls a two-day break.â
âYouâll be watching us, right?â She asked, her eyes hopeful.
You nodded, âI never missed a game. Iâm Chaeryeonâs and Yejiâs number one fan.â You grinned, proud of yourself.
Yunjin merely pouted at this, âYou should cheer for me sometime. Iâm playing too, you know.â She nudged you.
You laughed, trying to shake off your nervousness at her blatant flirting. âYou already have a lot of fangirls.â
Yunjin whined, begging, âI donât know them, but I know you. None of my friends wear my number because theyâre on the court with me.â
âIâll think about it.â you laughed at her antics. Although she was a year older than you, she managed to act like a little kid sometimes.
After talking (more like flirting on Yunjinâs side) for another while, Yunjin left to go to her part-time job at the diner, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
The feeling she gave you messed up your thoughts, and you were worried that your old crush on her will be reignited.
She was just friendly. She thought of you as a friend. You convinced yourself. You needed to see her as a friend too, before you get your heart broken.
âMaybe I need other friends than Yunjin.â you muttered to yourself before opening the notebook once more.
No.
You crossed out the word and wrote.
Fine. Whatâs your name?
.
.
.
.
Turns out, the person behind the obnoxious block letters was worth talking to. Youâve been texting the mysterious person for the past few weeks, and they managed to entertain you and connect on a deeper level. Never getting a reply to their name, only with a doodle of a snake, you exchanged numbers without knowing each other's names, and it was better like that. To talk about your day anonymously.
You were, however, curious about the person behind the texts and writing. They were considerate, easy to talk to, and extremely funny. You honestly felt that you could be really good friends with them. From books to life goals, you could talk to them about anything and everything.
It was a bit unnerving how someone in your major knew all this about you, but at the same time, you felt that they were someone you could trust, and they felt the same way about you after sharing some of their family problems with you.
You noticed you were developing a sort of attachment to this person, as if they were your soulmate. You found yourself instantly texting back whenever the snake contact popped up on your phone, and when you were texting, you were re-reading your past conversations. They were a great way for you to get Yunjin off your mind, which you found to get harder every time she stopped by to say hello.
âYouâre late, Shin.â Chaewon, the co-captain of the volleyball team, chastised a wind-swept Yuna as she slammed open the door to the locker room and hurried to change into her team uniform.
Yuna was the newest addition to the team and was also the cousin of Y/N. (As soon as Yunjin heard of this, she immediately treated Yuna with patience and additional care, not that she liked you or anything, just her showing affection to her juniors).
The volleyball team was getting ready for the final match before the semi-finals. They had an away game with a nearby school, and Yuna, being Yuna, had overslept and missed the bus to the game. Yuna quickly bowed her head in apology, and Chaewon simply patted her head in assurance and ushered everyone to warm up.
âWhat took you so long?â Yeji asked, âI thought Y/N said she would drive you instead.â
"She did. But it took her half an hour to get ready because she was busy giggling at her phone like a love-sick schoolgirl.â Yuna said, exasperation in her voice.
At that, Chaeryeon, who was standing near the two girls tying her hair, let out a laugh. âYeah, sheâs been doing that pretty often. She must have a crush or something.â
âYou think so?â Eunchae, one of the tallest yet youngest players, chimed in, exposing the fact that she was eavesdropping.
âThatâs new; I thought she would just end up being a single woman and adopt all of the kids in the hospital.â Yeji mused, happy that her roommate is finally interested in someone. Throughout the two years she lived with you, you seemed to show zero interest in love.
âMust be nice to be liked by unnie.â Eunchae said dreamily, causing the rest of the girls around her to fake gag and give a round of protest.
âWish it was me instead.â
âWho are you dreaming about dating?â Yunjin suddenly appeared, wrapping her hands around the tall girl. âMy baby manchae is off limits until sheâs 40.â
The captain had returned from a quick discussion with their coach and had gone into the locker room to usher the girls out for warm-up.
â40? Do you want me to die single?â Eunchae furrowed her brows and pouted, âAnd besides, we were talking about Y/N unnieâs love life, not mine.â
âY/N? What about Y/N?â Yunjin tried to ask nonchalantly, leading the girls out of the locker room.
âShe has a crush on someone.â Chaeryeon said slyly, paying close attention to Yunjinâs reaction.
The orange-haired girl kept her face composed, but in reality, her heart was beating at the thought of you liking someone, that wasnât her. A sense of hollowness and jealousy crept into her skin.
âThatâs nice. Do you know who?â
The girls shrugged, and Yunjin decided not to push anymore. The way Chaeryeon looked at her was obvious enough to blow off her cover and reveal her affection towards you, and she was not keen on letting others know.
Putting on a smile so bright that could make any of the people in the crowd swoon, Yunjin tried to push back her thoughts and jealousy, waving to the people in the stand as the team entered the court.
Cheers came from all around her, cheering her name every time she sent the ball flying at deadly speed toward her rivals. She wasnât called the Ace of SNU for nothing. Yet, as she scanned the crowds after every point earned, she hoped you would also be there yelling her name.
âGood game.â Chaeryeon whispered in Yunjinâs ear as they gathered together in a group hug to celebrate another victory.
The crowds were wild around them, chanting their names as they celebrated their ticket to the semi-finals.
âBut you better step up your other game before itâs too late, captain.â The raven-haired girl gave Yunjin a grin before sauntering off to the stands, where you were hugging Yeji in celebration.
You were wearing Chaeryeonâs spare uniform, proudly displaying the Lee on your back, while waving a self-made Yeji and Yuna flag. You looked so cute with your hair in a ponytail, with two lines of blue drawn horizontally across your cheeks to represent SNU.
At that moment, Yunjin wished nothing more than to see you wearing her uniform instead.
She better step up her game.

SoâŠhave you ever been in love before?
You were late at night studying in the school library a few days after the game when your phone buzzed, indicating a text message. It was from your mystery friend.Â
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion at their sudden question, before typing out a quick response.Â
No, I donât think so. Have you?
As their text bubble indicated typing, a full minute passed before their response came through.
No.Â
Followed by another long pause.Â
But I wish I did.Â
Biting your lip in thought, you were unsure of what to make of this sudden confession from your friend. You were developing an attachment to them, which seemed foolish when you didn't even know what they looked like, let alone their name.
It was truly pathetic; the two people in college for whom you had feelings were the queen bee of the school, with a long line of admirers, and the other was some random faceless stranger about whom you knew everything and nothing.
What got you thinking about this? You typed back.Â
A girl. But she has feelings for someone else.Â
So your little mystery friend does have someone on their mind. You tried to push down your disappointment and the slight burn of rejection as you replied.Â
Have you tried telling her how you feel about her?
No, I would probably scare her off or something.Â
Iâm sure you wonât.Â
It took them another five minutes before they finally responded back.Â
What about you? Is there anyone on your mind?
Yunjin, the fiery-haired girl, instantly came to mind. Recent interactions with her had given the impression of growing closeness. She took the time to chat with you in the student lounge, held your bag, walked you back to your dorm after study sessions, and even brought treats from the diner when her shift ended. Though it felt like more to you, the realization struck that she viewed you simply as a friend.
Yeah, this girl. But she sees me as a friend.
Yunjin's heart skipped a beat upon reading your reply. It confirmed Chaeryeon's statement â you had your eyes set on someone else. She pondered the possibilities, considering potential candidates. Was it the charming Shin Ryujin from the softball team? Perhaps someone from the hospital where you volunteered? Or could it be one of your close friends, like Chaeryeon or Yeji? The uncertainty left Yunjin feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
Did you tell them how you feel?
No, I would probably scare them off or something.Â
Despite her heartbreak, your text made her smile a bit. There you were again, teasing her by copying her sentence.Â
Iâm sure you wonât, pretty girl.Â
How do you know if Iâm pretty or not?
I just do.Â
You couldnât help but blush at their compliment. They always managed to say something earnestly that made your heart flutter, similar to the way Yunjin always seemed to have an effect on you.Â
You should take this confidence and confess to the girl you like before itâs too late. Whatâs there to lose?
You have a valid pointâŠ
Iâll work on confessing to them before the end of the year, but only if you be my wingwoman.Â
Your wingwoman? How? I donât know anything about them.Â
Just share with me the little things you like as advice.Â
Deal.Â
SoâŠbetter start listing.Â
Hmm, Iâd say start with flowers.Â
Oh, and little notes are pretty cute, too.Â
.
.
.
.
"The Ultimate Checklist to How to Get That Girl? Seriously?" Chaewon read over Yunjin's shoulder incredulously.
Flushing a deep red, the captain quickly slammed shut her notebook and pushed the short-haired girl away.
"Stop snooping!"
"You know you can just ask her out, right? Y/N." The shorter girl reached over to snatch the book from Yunjin, quickly scanning over the checklists.
Yunjin had managed to devise a checklist incorporating all the things you mentioned in your previous text conversations with her about your preference as her 'wingwomanâ. She had compiled recommendations on what someone should do to win over someone's heart, hoping to win over yours.Â
"I can't. She likes someone else." Yunjin said defeatedly, her shoulders sagging.
"Who can resist the Huh Yunjin charms? I'm pretty sure everyone would love to date you." Chaewon snorted, amused by how her seemingly always confident friend was so hung up on you. This was a first.
"Not Y/N."
Although teasing her friends was in her DNA, Chaewon couldn't help but feel bad for her friend. Yunjin looked lost (kind of like a kicked puppy, but she wasn't going to say that to her face), and as co-captain of the team, it was a rule that she would need to support their captain whenever they needed help.
"Find, I'll help you." Chaewon sighed, looking at the long list and preparing herself mentally. It was going to be a long few months.
"Let me call the girls for backup."
âAnother gift from your secret admirer?â Yeji teased when she saw you enter the shared dorm with a tray of hot coffee.
You had just returned from the library, preparing for your final exams, and found yet another gift waiting in front of your door.
You shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant, but your ears betrayed you by reddening. âThereâs one for you.â
Yeji jumped up in excitement and went straight for the coffee, sighing contentedly as she sipped on it. âIâd just date them already.â
You had been receiving these little gifts for the past few weeks, and it was driving you crazy. Initially sweet, the mystery person never revealed themselves, making you suspicious of everyone. Additionally, you were concerned about how much they were spending on you. Although seemingly insignificant, the little gifts added up.
The first gift was a single rose and a typed note in front of your dorm room, a bit like a ransom note. The note included a cheesy pick-up line that you found endearing, despite yourself. Soon after came cute accessories, a new hair tie, and even a cute hippo plushie. Your admirer seemed to know a lot about you, even the things you lost.Â
They gifted you things you had listed out to your mystery friend. Could your admirer and your friend possibly be the same person?
âOh, by the way, Yunjin and the team are coming over to discuss our strategies for the championship game, is that okay?â Yeji mentioned casually, trying to hide her grin.
Chaewon had called her earlier, letting her in on Yunjinâs huge crush on you and the plan to sweep you off your feet.
Panic filled your eyes as you looked up from your phone. You were still dressed in your "bum outfit," as Yeji would call it, consisting of old sweatpants and an oversized Nike hoodie â definitely not presentable.
âWhat? When?â You quickly surveyed the room, noticing a small pile of clothes and rushing to stuff them in the laundry basket.
âIn aboutâŠâ
Knock, knock, knock.
âNow.â
At that moment, you pulled your hair out of its messy bun and ran your fingers through it in a rush. Leave it to Yeji to embarrass you in front of Yunjin.
Before Yeji could open the door, it was slammed open, revealing a snow-covered Chaeryeon with her cheshire grin, followed by Chaewon, Lia, Yuna, and Yunjin. Your eyes met hers, and you got lost once again in her warm brown hues.
She looked particularly good today, with her fiery orange hair tucked into a gray woolen hat and dressed in a red leather jacket. She gave you a toothy smile before closing the door behind her.
âHey, stranger, itâs been a while,â Yunjin said, pulling you into a hug, engulfing you in her sweet lavender perfume. âI missed you.â
You immediately blushed at this, still not used to her flirty nature.
âWe had lunch together last Saturday.â
âYeah, three days is way too long,â she sighed dramatically, her arms still wrapped around your shoulders. Her eyes scanned your features, as if she was trying to memorize every freckle and blemish.
âIf you two are done flirting, we would like to start discussing tactics,â Chaewon said, her lips curled into a teasing smile as she saw Yunjin immediately pull her arm off of yours and turn beet red in embarrassment.
âIâŠâ Yunjin muttered, before giving up coming up with an explanation and plopped down onto the sofa.
You busied yourself with schoolwork as the girls squeezed into the makeshift living room and focused on their strategy plan for the upcoming games. You watched them with adoration; it wasnât often that you saw them together except for their games, and you loved how sweet their dynamic was. Chaewon was the one who kept everyone focused, Lia and Yeji were the encouraging ones, and Yunjin was the planner. She led the gameplays and tactics, ensuring everything was on track. The older girls also babied Yuna and Chaeryeon, making sure they understood everything.
You didnât know Chaewon and Lia that well; they were Yunjinâs friends. Still, you could tell that they were just as sweet and caring as the captain was. However, you couldnât help but think of the comment your mystery friend left in the Ice Age book whenever you looked at Lia. She did look a bit like a sloth, but the cutest one ever.
Hence, you decided to text your mystery friend.
Lia does kind of look like a sloth. But cuter.Â
As you sent out the text, a small buzz came from the living room.Â
Cuter as in your type?
No. But you did her dirty by writing her name next to Sid.Â
Another buzz. You furrowed your brows and looked toward the direction of the living room.Â
Who IS your type then?
Someone funny, I guess. Goofy but smart.Â
Buzz. It felt too coincidental. Your palms started sweating at the thought that you might finally discover who was behind those texts that accompanied you through long nights and motivated you.
HmmâŠis there someone like that in our school?
Yeah, there is.Â
As soon as you sent out a text, another buzz came from the living room. At that moment, you were convinced that your friend was one of the girls in the room.
Is it the person you mentioned you liked?
You silently leaned forward on your bed to peek at the girls obscured by the sofa, lying on their stomachs in front of a strategy board. You froze at the sight of Yunjin biting her full lip and looking at her phone, engrossed in whatever she was reading. The rest of the girls were talking with each other, none of them looking at their phones.Â
Could it possibly be the orange-haired girl all along? The girl you've been texting about was the one receiving your texts. If they were Yunjin, then she would possibly be the one sending you your gifts.
The pounding in your heart was so loud, engulfing you in erratic thumps. You couldnât even hear the girls talking; all you could focus on was the possibility that Yunjin was the person behind the texts.Â
Deciding to leap in faith just this once, you texted back.
Yes. The captain of the volleyball team, do you know her?
Another buzz followed by the screen of Yunjinâs phone was enough to prove that she was indeed the person all along. Eyes scanning through the sentence you sent to her, Yunjinâs brown eyes widened, and she immediately threw her phone to the side, covering her face with her arms. She let out a muffled scream and kicked her legs in excitement, startling the rest of the girls.
You couldn't help but laugh at her adorableness. Putting on your headphones, you pretended to be studying while trying to calm your erratic heart. Muffled shouts and laughter could be heard from the girls, probably picking on their captain.
.
.
.
.
For the first time in her life, it seemed that fate had taken favor in Yunjin. Having dedicated all of her time to school and volleyball, she never had the privilege of starting a relationship with someone. Volleyball itself took up most of her time, with her parents and her personal coach insisting on her becoming the best player in the league and eventually joining the national team of South Korea. She wasnât unhappy with her life, but she wouldnât call herself happy.
Sure, her friends set her up on several blind dates, but she never liked them enough to want something more. She was only interested in being the best at volleyball and being the best captain for the girls, nothing more.
That was, until, she met you.
She was enamored by you right from the start, with your shy smile and soft features. She wanted nothing more than to get to know you. After finally getting the chance to talk to you after two years, she had fallen for you, deep. All those late-night talks through text made her understand that you were more than a mere crush, more than any of the girls on those blind dates. The way you viewed the world made her want to become something more to you. She wanted to be included in your world.
Life started to mean more than just volleyball, and she noticed that you made her happy, actually happy.Â
She hoped that you would give her the chance to do the same for you. Now, with the revelation that the person she worried so much about you liking was her, she was beyond the moon. She just hoped you wouldnât be disappointed that she was the one behind the texts.
It was the Saturday after the eventful day, and Yunjin was nervous. She blamed it on the finals game they had tomorrow, but in reality, it was the first time she was alone with you after knowing that you liked her.
After running to you during her lunch break from her shift at the diner two months ago, she had established a weekly routine of getting lunch with you every Saturday. The diner she worked at was near the hospital she volunteered at, so grabbing lunch together before visiting the kids was another highlight of your week.
"Did something happen?" You asked as you sat across the captain.
You had arrived at the booth a while ago, and the captain hadnât said much but to order. She was fidgeting with the straw of her iced coffee, bending it over repeatedly as she looked at anywhere but you.
"What? No!" Yunjinâs eyes flitted to yours, before quickly looking away again.
"Nothingâs wrong."
"Then how come youâre avoiding me?" You asked, slightly pouting.
Yunjin nearly kissed you on the spot at the sight of you pouting cutely.
She had been refusing to meet your eyes because she knew that the second she did, all defenses would fall, and she would just confess her love to you. It has been like that for the last few days, ever since she knew that you liked her back; she wanted nothing more than to have you in her arms. But she hadnât thought of a plan on how to ask you out yet; she also had to confess to you that she was the one behind the texts. This scared her, worried that you would hate her for lying to you about not knowing who you were.
"I-Iâm not." Yunjin stuttered, still refusing to look at you in the eye.
Before you could reply, the waitress brought over your food. You always got the same thing, blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs on the side, while Yunjin always had her protein lunch filled with eggs, chicken, and tofu. It didnât really look good, but Yunjin made sure her body was in the best shape for volleyball.
Todayâs meal was slightly different. The waitress had also brought in a plate with two gingerbread cookies, both with cute red buttons and frosty smiles.
"We give out gingerbread cookies to our customers every year around Christmas time," the waitress explained, her eyes twinkling mischievously, "Enjoy!"
Yunjin watched you from the corner of her eyes as you excitedly took a few photos of the cookies.
"Look Yunjinnie, theyâre holding hands!"
Yunjin wished she could hold hands with you.
"This one looks more like you." You giggled, moving the plate forward to show her.
The restaurant workers seemingly did not put their heart into decoration because the one you insisted that looked like Yunjin had lopsided eyes and a way out of proportion mouth, so wide that it went higher than the eyes.
"Are you saying I look ugly?" She said, pretending to be offended.
"What? No!" You interjected, blushing a deep red and pulling back the plate to inspect the cookies. "I meant that you always have a big smile like this, meeting your eyes."
Thatâs because I only smile like this when Iâm with you, Yunjin thought.
"Here, try one." You broke the cookies apart and raised one of the cookies towards Yunjinâs face.
"I canât. I have to stay in shape for tomorrow's game." Yunjin was taken aback at your forwardness. She was normally the one flirting, and you were the shy one. It seems that the roles have reversed today.
"Câmon. Just one bite wouldnât hurt." You wheedled. "Please?"
Yunjinâs eyes finally met yours. Big mistake.
Your eyes, every so bright, were staring at her pleadingly, with a hint of something that Yunjin couldn't quite put a finger on. Was it affection? Adoration?
Nevertheless, the captain immediately gave in and took a bite of the cookie in your hands. She would always do anything for you.
"ItâsâŠItâs good." Yunjin managed to say, her gaze still locked with yours.
You let out a satisfied grin and brought the same cookie to your lips, pausing slightly before taking a bite.
Yunjinâs brain went into a full system shutdown. YOU JUST ATE THE COOKIE SHE HAD. IT WAS AN INDIRECT KISS. I REPEAT. INDIRECT KISS.
âMhmmm⊠Itâs so good. Tastes like Christmas.â You said, finally breaking eye contact and looking at the rest of the cookies in front of you.
âItâs almost the end of the year.â You said softly, before looking up again at the flustered girl.
End of the year.
Yunjinâs heart went into rapid speed, and her blood went cold. Could you have possibly known that she was the one texting you? How else would you know the importance of the end of the year to her? She had promised you that she would confess to her crush before the end of the year if only you would become her wingwoman.
Shaking her head slightly to push out the possibility, she tried to forget about her âdelusionsâ. You didnât know. There was no way.
Thankfully, you changed the topic to her games tomorrow, saving her from embarrassing herself.
âWill you be at the game tomorrow?â Yunjin asked as she walked you to the hospital after lunch.
âOf course.â You said, gently holding onto her arm to keep yourself from slipping on the icy roads. (Yunjinâs heart still stuttered whenever you did that).
âI never miss a game, remember?â
âWill you-Will you be cheering for me?â Yunjin asked hesitantly.
âHmm? I always cheer for you girls, pabo.â You laughed, nudging the taller girl.
âNo, I mean,â Yunjin looked at your hands clutching tightly on her arm. Deciding to brave herself for the first time today, she asked, âWill you wear my number?â
She watched as your cheeks turn pink at her words.
âI donât knowâŠyou have quite a lot of fangirls already.â You answered, hitting both of you with dĂ©jĂ vu.
âBut none of them are you.â The orange-haired girl stopped walking, gently pulling you around to look at her.
To say you were in deep was an understatement. You had fallen hard for the captain, in love even. Her beauty and confidence were what had drawn you to her at first, but after getting to really know her through those texts, you had started to fall in love with her. Her mind, the way she thought, and her endless patience⊠she was something that was too good to be true.
âWhat are you trying to say?â You asked, searching her eyes for any hint of hesitation. You found none, only determination and softness in those honey-brown hues.
âIâm sayingâŠâ Yunjin paused, composing herself before she stared back into your eyes, âI like you, Y/N, a lot.â
âAnd it would be nice if I can take you out on a date.â She continued, her eyes gleaming hopefully.
âBut only if you want to.â She hastily added.
You laughed at the last sentence. She was always so considerate, worried that she would be doing something without your consent. And that was what you loved about her.
âI would love to.â You said, before standing on your tiptoes to kiss the tip of her frozen nose. Yunjin froze at the feeling of your soft lips on her skin.
âBut only if you win the game tomorrow.â
Yunjin let out a sigh of relief before gently wrapping her arms around your waist, pulling you closer. All those sleepless nights dreaming of you were worth it.
âEasy.â
.
.
.
.
As the captain got ready for bed, a familiar buzz came from her phone. It was from you.
I better see your jersey in front of my door tomorrow, Huh Yunjin.
Yunjin let out a scream, scaring Lia, who was already passed out, and causing her to fall off her own bed.
"What the hell?" Lia groaned from the floor, looking up at her roommate.
"She knows itâs me. And sheâs okay with it!" Yunjin said, giggling like a schoolgirl and dancing around. "She likes me back!"
Sighing, Lia slowly dragged herself up from the floor and laid horizontally back on her bed, too tired to crawl back under the covers.
"Go to bed, Yunjin."
Giggling to herself, the captain quickly texted you goodnight, receiving another sweet message from you.
As she went to turn off the lights, she looked at her roommate, sleeping with her mouth open and dressed in her greenish-grey fuzzy pajamas.
Lia did indeed look like a sloth. A cute one.
âWhy does Yunjin-unnie have a sunburn?â Eunchae whispered, not so quietly.
âThatâs not a sunburn, thatâs the glow of love, manchae.â Yeji laughed, patting the taller girlâs head affectionately.
âLove? What?â Eunchae furrowed her brows, clearly out of the loop.
"Someone in the stands is rocking her jersey," Chaeryeon added, grinning mischievously, despite Yunjin shooting her a disapproving look as they continued warming up for the game.
âOne-third of the crowd is wearing her number,â Eunchae whined, scanning the crowd again for Yunjinâs possible lover.
You waved shyly to the girls (mostly to Yunjin) as you moved to sit on the bleachers with your friends. You had found a box containing Yunjinâs jersey and a light blue bandana, along with a single rose in front of your dorm room when you woke up in the morning.
You had put on the jersey and decided to tie your hair with the silky bandana, and adding a dash of sparkling highlighter. You wanted to look your best for the captain.
Unable to resist herself, Yunjin made her way towards the railings near the bleachers, ignoring the teasing hoots coming from her members. You walked down a few levels to meet her at the other side of the railing.
âHi,â she said cutely, her eyes sparkling in happiness as she checked you out. You looked so good in her jersey.
âHi, Yunjinnie.â
âYou look good.â She bit her lip and reached over to hold your hands in hers.
âYou better win this game, Yunjin. Iâm looking forward to our date.â
âOf course. I play better when Iâm in a good mood.â Yunjin leaned over and pressed her lips on your forehead.
âAnd you make me happy.â
.
.
.
.
âAw man...â Eunchae said sadly, watching her captain and you cuddling up together. âI wanted to date Y/N-unnie.â
âYouâre too young for dating, Hong Eunchae.â The rest of the girls said in unison, before grabbing the maknae away from the scene.
It's a long one!
A bit of fluff for Christmas :)

HOW WOULD VALENTINO AND THE VEES REACTIF CHILD REDER HAD A FEAR OF STORMS
Hi Friend,
Super fitting- we have a tornado warning and watch in effect where I am right now! Iâve been sitting all night watching the storms roll through.Â
<3 Mandy
Valentino heard the first boom of thunder over the nightly noises of his studio. He glanced at the clock, and then at his phone. The warning had come through earlier in the night, and with his wife away, he had coached both Vox and Velvette on how to keep reader feeling safe and secure. But still, with each passing second a sense of unease settled over him. He knew she loved her Auntie and Uncle, and she had weathered storms in their arms before. Even so, something about the night made him uncomfortable.Â
The decision to end early wasnât one made by him. A quick flash and darkness spread over the entire studio. Valentino sent everyone home and quickly made his way up the back staircase. On the off chance Vox needed to leave, he had to be there for his daughter.
He pushed open the back door and the soft glow of candles greeted him.Â
âVox? Velvette? Reader?â Valentino called softly. âAre you home?â
âOver here, Val,â Voxâs voice returned from the couch.Â
âDaddy!âÂ
Even through the darkness, Valentino could make out the form of his daughter rushing to him. He bent over and lifted her to him, pressing his lips to her forehead. Even in his hold, her entire body trembled.Â
âDaddy is here,â he said over the rumbles of thunder. âItâs okay, Daddyâs got you.â
Carefully, he carried his little girl back to the couch and sat down. He cuddled her to his chest and did his best to whisper soothingly as he rubbed her back.Â
Another flash, a crack of thunder and her grip tightened on his jacket. She hid her face against him and he settled his body so they were both laying down. Carefully, he pulled a blanket down from the couch and covered them both up.Â
âVox, do you need to do something about this?â Valentino asked as he held his daughter.Â
âNothing I can do, Val. Poles are down all over the city and both the main generator and back up generator are fried. That isnât a me issue, I just send the crews out. Nothing we can do until they can get it all fixed,â Vox replied calmly. âBut if the baby would like, I can make hot chocolate.â
âWhat do you think sweetheart? Do you want Uncle Voxxy to make hot chocolate?â Valentino asked the shaking bundle.
âI want some, Vox,â Velvette answered after a moment of quiet.Â
âMe too,â Valentino added.Â
âThen hot chocolate it is!â Vox replied cheerfully. He turned away and walked into the kitchen.Â
Several blue sparks later, he returned with a tray of steaming mugs topped with whipped cream.Â
âI made an extra, in case baby changes her mind,â Vox said as he handed a cup to Velvette.Â
Valentino pushed himself upright and gently lifted up the covers. Tiny hands pulled them back down and he felt her push into his chest.Â
âBebita, do you want hot coco?â Valentino asked as he took a mug from Vox. âUncle Voxxy even put rainbow sprinkles on.âÂ
The lump under the blanket stirred and finally, her blonde head poked out. Relieved, Valentino put and arm around her and helped her sit up on his lap. He handed her his cup and she took a sip.Â
Another flash of lightening and Valentino at least had the foresight to hold onto the cup as she buried her head back against him.
âSweetheart, thunder and lightening is nothing more than your Great Uncle Lucy and God having an all out bowling match,â Velvette said as she watched the scene before her. âRemember? Nothing to be frightened of.â
To all of their surprise, her lower lip quivered.Â
âI donât want them to fight, I donât like it!â She sobbed. âItâs scary!â
âI know baby, but I promise youre safe with Daddy, Uncle Voxxy and Auntie Vel,â Valentino said softly. âAnd Mommy when sheâs home.â
In response, she buried her face back into him. He sighed and set the mug down as he pulled her to him closely.Â
âIâm going to lay down with her, sheâs overtired,â Valentino said quietly as he stood up.Â
âNo! Want Auntie and Uncie too!â she shrieked.Â
Valentino looked at them both and they instantly put their mugs down.Â
âThen weâre coming too,â Vox answered without hesitation. âCome on, family snuggle time.âÂ
âIt has been awhile,â Velvette added. âCome on sweetheart, all of us to bed.âÂ
Valentino mouthed a silent thank you to them both as they made their way to his room. Velvette walked across the room and pulled the blinds closed as Valentino laid down with reader in the middle of the bed. Vox joined on one side, Velvette on the other.Â
Reader stuck her thumb in her mouth and snuggled against Valentinos chest. Velvette grabbed the blanket and pulled it over the four of them.Â
âNo leave,â she muttered sleepily.Â
âAlright baby, we wonât leave,â Valentino said softly. âSleep. Weâre all here to protect you. Nothing will hurt you, not with us here.âÂ
Several heartbeats later, he felt the rise and fall of her chest slow as her thumb fell from her mouth.Â
âYou guys can go if you want, I think sheâs good now,â Valentino said quietly.Â
âI think not, baby wanted us to stay,â Velvette replied firmly as she settled herself into the pillows.Â
âBesides, what if she wakes up? Canât break a promise,â Vox added with a yawn. He turned on his side. âGoodnight guys.â

Pairing: Eddie x GN!Reader
Summary: Eddie is not scared of thunderstorms after what happened in the Upside Down. Not at all.
It had started raining several hours before and the drizzle quickly turned into a thunderstorm. The wind was blowing hard and slapping the twigs of the tree in front of your house on your bedroom window.
Rain poured down on the roof and from time to time the sound of thunder rumbled throughout the whole house.
The night sky outside was dark, with no moon or stars.
You were on your bed, Eddie was sitting with his back against the headboard, his arm was around your waist, your head was resting on his chest and your face was pressed into his Black Sabbath shirt.
About half an hour earlier you had started watching a movie but then you were distracted by cuddling and because of the noise of the rain and thunder drowning out the voices coming from the small tv in your room.
You had turned off the TV a few minutes before, deciding you'd rather focus on Eddie and his hand slowly stroking your side.
A crashing thunder rumbled in your ears and you thought the lightning didn't have to have fallen very far from you to cause such a din.
Suddenly, you felt Eddie's hand on yours, it wouldn't be the first time he'd start playing with your fingers or your rings in a moment of calm and intimacy like that.
Instead, that time his hand found yours to hold it and intertwine his fingers with yours.
You smiled sinking your face into his chest, just enjoying that gesture.
A few minutes later, as you were about to fall asleep, another thunder almost made you jump and you felt Eddie's hand suddenly squeeze yours. Not to the point of hurting you, but he certainly added pressure.
You lifted your head and before you could speak, his grip already loosened but his hand was still on yours.
"You okay?" You asked.
He nodded. "Of course."
You tried to read his expression, something was definitely wrong, you knew him well enough to know.
"Eddie."
"What?"
"You squeezed my hand."
"No I-"
He didn't have time to finish the sentence when you both heard the rumble of another thunder, so loud it felt like the house was shaking.
Eddie's hand squeezed yours again, this time even harder than the previous one and he closed his eyes tightly for a few seconds, while the sound echoed until it disappeared, and then opened them again, looking at you.
He let go of your hand and stared at you with his big chocolate brown eyes that you could see shining even in the dark.
"Oh my god." You whispered, that was the moment you realized.
Thunders. Lightnings. The noise.
The Upside Down.
Eddie was scared because of what happened in the Upside Down.
You opened your arms and he lunged into them, burying his face in the crook of your neck and closing his eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" You asked without sounding accusing, none of that was his fault.
"'Cause it's stupid." He murmured, his lips tickling your skin as he spoke.
It wasn't stupid if it was scaring the shit out of him, you could tell by the desperate way he was holding onto you.
As another roar of thunder broke through, Eddie hold you even tighter, squeezing the fabric of your shirt in his fists and pushing his face into your neck.
You run your hand up and down his back, tracing imaginary drawings and left a few kisses on the side of his head that you could reach.
"I'm sorry." He muttered, the tone of his voice sounded like that of a child scared of sleeping alone who in the middle of the night, got into his parents' bed.
"Hey, It's okay, I'm here. I got you." You whispered as you left a kiss on his temple. "You're not there anymore. They can't hurt you, I promise."
At your simple words, Eddie actually seemed to calm down a bit and his tense muscles relaxed under your touch.
You held him all night, all through the storm and even after.
Whenever there was thunder Eddie would hold you tight and you would alternate between phrases like "it's okay, breathe. It'll all be over soon" and "focus on my voice, it's okay. No one's going to hurt you. I'm right here. I love you."
Around three in the morning, the storm started to calm down and the thunders finally stopped.
Eddie didn't budge from you and you kept caressing his back and leaving a few kisses in his hair until you heard a buzz.
He had fallen asleep. He was asleep, he was snoring and you had never been so happy to hear that noise.
You finally closed your eyes.
"Goodnight Ed."

are we okay? jorge rivera-herrans fucking changed pop culture forever. epic songs are going to permeate fandom spaces because not only do they slap but they are so applicable to a wide range of conflicts. i saw 'ruthlessness' in a jason todd spotify playlist. i saw 'thunder bringer' quoted in the comments under a bbc merlin animatic. the lyrics are recite-able as fuck to the point you can trigger a textual sing-along in seconds; the winion community indeed. the sheer replayability. the man never fails to tap into the parts of the brain that elicit emotional catharsis and the unexplainable brrrrrrrr feeling of when a song hits just right. it's the infamous chocolate man but his endless approachability snuffs out the scary factor. also nobody say anything about the wind bag jetpack i will stand by the wind bag jetpack i will die by the wind bag jetpack. đ. i admit my trepidation w the concept. i admit that i did not expect the 3D animation, as competent and well-stylized as it was. but let's be for real. "holy moly". athena used quick thought. the entirety of god games. "holy moly". the video game style of the official "little wolf" animatic. "i already know your tactics" in "charybdis": knowing the patterns of a boss. my respect for the stylistic consistency of epic overrides all reservations to be frank w you.
also that barnacle-voiced (positive) fork-wielding vengeful dad had it coming and the means truly do not matter to me at this point. "or else the world forgets i'm cold" well good luck getting the world to forget you're sashimi.

Iâll Always Be Your Boy
Summary: Tommy reminisced back to his lost love, his first and only love. It had been years since heâs seen you, and one night when he pulls into your driveway, it all becomes too much for far too long. He needed to be reunited with you, even if the cost was his life.
Warnings: Suicide, drug addiction (opium), trauma, flashbacks, mentions of death, mention of tommyâs mom, mention of miscarriage
Partially inspired by the song below, be prepared with tissues yâallđ„č
The brisk midnight air rolled in through the foggy car window as he pulled into the rocky driveway, still trying to figure out what the fuck he was doing here. Tommy hadnât seen you in years but yet you still crossed his mind, he still worried about you even though he had taken the most vulnerable part of you and shattered it into a million tiny pieces. Now here he was staring at the damaged, once white house that he once promised to fix up before the argument. The wooden fencing now fading, the deteriorating paint now detailing the uncut grass, green vines covering the width.
Pulling out his cigarettes, he brushed the unflamed end over his plush, chilled lips.
The trees bristled, whistling and bellowing through the atmosphere, scattering leaves around the yard.
Tommy thought back to a a particular afternoon, reminiscing the way you laughed when he tripped and fell into a mud puddle, the way you smiled brightly whenever he would partake in hobbies you enjoyed such as creating masterful works of art out of chalk on the stoned sidewalk.Â
You were graceful, mesmerizing everything Tommy couldâve asked for in a woman, most of all you cared for him. Making him soup when he was feeling ill, running a warm bath to a temperature of his liking, knowing how to calm him from an angry fit or a stressful day.Â
God did he miss you, heâd do anything for the chance to take it all back, to treat you kindly and cherish you, give you anything your little ecstatic heart desired, but he fucked it up and he blamed himself every second of every passing day.
He wished and prayed that you knew there was no moving on, you held his heart and he was still that boy you fell in love with all that time ago.
A day hadnât passed where he didnât think of you but times were becoming tough. The business was failing, any woman that approached him, he simply ignored, only wanting you back.
Stepping out of the car, he approached the house ignoring the silhouettes of storm clouds rolling in accompanied by a deep, rumbling thunder.Â
Scanning the rooms, he stopped near the kitchen doorway, glancing at the stove where he had partaken in baking sweets with you. He didnât like desserts himself but what you made you happy made him happy, and heâd always at least taste whatever you made. He would try to help, to assist in rolling dough, gathering ingredients and putting trays in the oven but you always shoved him playfully away after burning a batch of baked goods, putting him instead on the job of decorating.Â
Smiling softly, he carried on, stopping every now and then as he walked down the crooked, abandoned hallway, glancing at the dusty photos that still stay portrayed on the walls.
A photo of your first date in a milkshake shack, splitting a chocolate shake while giggling with one another, this was just moments before you had convinced him to go rollerblading and he can still say to this day, that was the most fun heâs ever had, for some reason it made him feel alive.
As he carried on scanning the house, heâd heard objects moving while the abandoned floor boards creaked. He could see the shapes of shadows in the distance but he didnât feel scared or endangered. Perhaps it was you.
âItâs just me love, nothing to be afraid of.â He wished he could see you, he had missed you tremendously but still blamed himself for your death. He shouldâve been there, he couldâve stopped it, and now he was reaping the consequences with a broken heart.
When he approached his final destination, he was greeted with a hole in the rickety old door, flashing back to the time where youâd had your first and last fight over what now seemed to be a pointless event, an event he regretted. If he had knew that would be the last time he saw you, the final thing heâd said to you, the frigid, cold words wouldâve never escaped his lips, and he knew very well that the argument was a misunderstanding.
Dragging his feet over to the bed, he removed a bottle of opium from his jacket. That was the only thing getting him through this. He had tried to off himself multiple times, just wanting to see you once more, they even had to confine him in the draft which was nearly unheard of.
Pulling out a needle, he punctured his arm after increasing the dose. Almost instantly he could feel his thoughts slowing, a euphoric rush running through his veins causing him to feel tired and lay down on the abandoned bed. The awful fight replaying in his mind.
Bursting through the door, you jumped in the sitting position of your bed, the book in your lap tumbling down onto the floor from being startled.Â
Tommy stood in the doorway, bottle of whiskey in hand with drenched, disheveled hair from the pouring rain.
âWhere have you been? I needed you, and you werenât there!â Tears brimmed at your eye lids seeing him in this state, knowing that you shouldâve been there but you couldnât.Â
Standing up while the tears streamed like a river down your heated cheeks, you closed the door and turned to Tommy.
His angelic blue eyes had a clear perception of pain, himself also crying. Tommy never asked you for anything, not once.
âYâknow not everything is about you, maybe if you stopped and looked around every once in awhile youâd realize that but I guess it was stupid on my part to believe you ever truly loved me. You are just a selfish girl, and I canât believe that for a moment I thought you gave a shit about me.â You tugged at his arm, begging and pleading for him to hear your side of the story as to why you werenât present at his motherâs funeral but he wouldnât listen. Hearing your excuses only fueled the anger and extreme upset inside of him but he didnât know you were dealing with a loss of your own.
âListen to me, please! I love you Tommy I do, you just donât understand I-â
âNo, no donât do that. You donât get to do that I have a crystal clear understanding that I canât be with someone who doesnât and never has given a shit about me. Enjoy your life Y/N, because Iâm not sure if I want to be in it anymore if all itâs going to be is excuses. I really thought you were different, but youâre just like any other useless whore.â Slamming his fist through the door in aggravation and immense upset, the sound echoed through the house. His words stung like a bee, a sharp and direct hit to your heart.
The following morning Tommy woke from a deep slumber, arm reaching for you only to realize you werenât there, half of the bed was empty.
He had regretted those things he said, he should have heard you out but all of his withheld emotions came crashing down on him like a hurricane.Â
Getting up and dressed, he decided the best way to apologize was to go and retrieve your favorite flowers and take you out on the town. He could be such an ass sometimes but he was still learning.Â
Heading to the kitchen Pol was shocked to see him out of bed, bright eyes and bushie tailed, dressed to the tens.
âIâm surprised youâre up so early given the events of last night. If you need anything donât be frightened to reach out Thomas, we all need a little help sometimes. Sweet girl she was.âÂ
âWho are you talking about? If it was that Lee girl Iâm not surprised, bat shit crazy she was.â Tommy poured himself a cup of tea, adding only cream before reaching for the paper and sitting at the kitchen table.
âNo one told you?â Tommy looked at his aunt confused while taking a sip of his tea. Pol relaxed her tone knowing full well this would break her nephewâs heart. With sympathetic eyes, she settled her hand atop of his.
âThere was a fire last night. Y/N didnât make it.â Tommy froze, this couldnât possibly be true. Pol could see the panic and disbelief in Tommyâs baby blue eyes. When she tried to walk over and console him, he bolted for the door needing to see for himself.
In a fiery fit of anger and sadness he sped over to your house, seeing the damage that has been done. In that moment his heart shattered into a million pieces and he punched the steering wheel repeatedly.
âFuck!â The thick walls of his mind were closing. If he had controlled his temper, he wouldâve been there, he wouldâve been able to pull you out of the fire and save the most important piece of his heart. Why you? Why not him? He had nothing to live for without you. He never even got the chance to apologize.
The only thing that seemed to be intact was your car parked in the grass near the mailbox. Stumbling out of his car, he needed to know, know what it was you werenât telling him that day. What it was he didnât even give you a chance to say.
Rummaging through clothes, and misplaced papers and pens, he opened the glove box only to find something that changed everything the day of his motherâs funeral.
Pulling out the small piece of paper, his hands trembled as he stared down at the ultrasound of what would have been your bundle of joy.Â
All of your emotions from that day seemed to seep into his mind. You mustâve been so scared, felt so alone. Why didnât you tell him?
Flipping the paper over he noticed writing.
TIME OF DEATH: 11:25 am.
11/20/1913Â
10 weeks old.
You had miscarried just two hours before the funeral and he was too busy shouting out you to know. The tears sprang freely, his heart aching as he wept in the passenger seat feeling the world crashing down him, accompanied by the profound loss of someone he loved.
As the opium kicked in, he lay his dreary, spinning head onto the singed pillow, clenching his fists in what was left of your crisp sheets.
His eyes became heavy, limbs weak while his head span in a euphoric frenzy. Your face flashed through his mind, memories and moments shared together.Â
The sun was rising through the window peering in through the burnt curtains as Tommyâs vision became blurry and he could see sparkling orbs forming aside him a figure kneeling on the floor with what looked to be a child.
âCome daddy, mommyâs waiting.â The young girlâs voice was subtle, calming. She lay her delicate small hand on her fatherâs.
Through his clouded perception he could see she had his bright blue eyes and your facial features. She was beautiful just like her mother.
Beads of sweat formed upon his temple, the rush taking over his body bringing a sense of tranquility. Just before he stopped breathing, your voice spoke melodically through his head, bringing a sense of comfort.
âIâm here now. You can let go. Weâve been waiting for you.â He had never felt more at ease then he did now, drifting off into unconsciousness, awaiting his sweet descent into his loverâs arms being reunited as a family, forever content.

hello, I don't want to be annoying but could you please write a Azriel angst + comfort fic? Maybe something where his mate, the reader, was in a bad mood and is very mean to Azriel, so when he leaves she thinks that he's mad and never coming back and just spirals.
Hopefully Azriel shows up later with the reader's favorite things because I can't live without a little fluff after my heart breaks into a million pieces~
Pointless Fights
Azriel x reader
A/n: hi anon! Youâre not annoying at all I love hurt/comfort Az
Warnings: angst, hurt/comfort, and some anxiety
You had been avoiding Azriel all morning since you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Some days you were irrationally angry. It was nothing in particular, your hard days built up and you felt like you deserved to be mad sometimes.
You didnât want to take it out on Azriel, he didnât deserve to be the victim of your bad mood. Sitting in your little library reading was the best thing to do today. Especially since it was the perfect weather for it. A rough storm had made landfall in Velaris early this morning the thunder and lightning was so loud you jolted awake.
A knock sounded from the grand wooden door. You didnât bother with a reply Azriel entered anyway. He came to sit next to you on the couch gently running his pointer finger along your shoulder. âHey, I just wanted to check on you. You ok?â
You only gave him an unenthusiastic hum without looking up from your book. If you had looked up you would have seen Azrielâs concerned frown. His finger stopped and rested on your shoulder before you tilted away from his touch. Azriel wasnât hurt by you shrugging away from his touch. He was too busy wracking his brain as to why you were in a bad mood.
Nothing happened last night at dinner. Unless he completely misinterpreted the conversation you and Nesta had as friendly. Cauldron save them if you and Nesta were fighting.
âIs it ok if I sit with you?â You nod still staring down at your book. Your eyes scanning the words but not fully comprehending them. Azriel leaned back into the couch propping his feet up on the coffee table to read over reports.
You were fine with him sitting with you for a while. Until his breathing and constant sighs were starting to grate on your brain. You kept giving him glares through your lashes that he didnât notice. Azriel clears his throat and you hit your limit with noises.
Gripping your book tight you whip your head up making Azriel look at you. âOh my gods! You are so loud! Can you please leave me alone, I want to be by myself please.â Azriel looked taken aback, blinking a few times. Azriel rises from the couch whispering a small âokâ before leaving.
After a few minutes you hear the front door of the house shut. You jump up from the couch, rushing to see if Azriel really left the house. Looking out the window next to the front door you see Azrielâs wings flapping in the distance, carrying him toward the city.
âFuck,â your fist lightly thumps against the glass. You didnât mean to snap at him. There was definitely a nicer way to say you wanted to be alone. You slightly started to panic as your anxious thoughts took over. What if he never came back? What if you pushed him away this time and he stops talking to you?
You started pacing around the house biting at your nails. You needed a distraction. During your mindless wandering you found yourself in the kitchen. Thatâs what youâll do! Bake his favorite cookies. That fixes everything.
In the middle of your baking frenzy you shivered. Deciding you miss the feel of Azriel you head to the bedroom and slip on your favorite hoodie of his.
Over an hour later Azriel entered the house. The scent of his favorite chocolate chip cookies penetrating his nose. Walking into the kitchen he finds you sitting at the table with the cookie plated in front of you. Your leg was bouncing rapidly under the table.
You look up at him with sad, apologetic eyes pushing the plate toward him. Azriel places the shopping bags heâs holding on the table as he sits next to you. He wraps his arm around you pulling your head to rest on his shoulder, playing with your hair. Leaving a soft kiss on your head he murmurs, âWhatâs wrong baby? I can tell itâs been a bad day.â
You let out a long sigh relaxing into his warmth. âIâm just in a bad mood. I just feel like being mad today. Iâm sorry I yelled at you Az, I didnât mean to.â Azriel wrapped his other arm around you to pull you into a loving embrace. âItâs ok y/n, I understand I have those days too.â
You climb into Azrielâs lap and tuck your face into the side of his neck. âI made you apology cookies.â Your voice comes out muffled. His chest shakes from laughter. âI got you some stuff to cheer you up.â You pick your head up to meet his loving gaze. âReally?â
Azriel drags the bags closer and turns you so your facing the table. As he munches on a cookie you pull out the first gift, it was the newest romance book youâd been meaning to get. You look at Azriel with a surprised face and he gestures for you to keep going. New pens, sticky tabs for taking notes, and a few bookmarks. Opening the next bag you find a new oversized pink hoodie.
âI thought youâd be comfy in that while reading. And I noticed all your pens were out of ink so I thought Iâd get you the fun ones.â He smiles down at you. You stand pulling him with you and tightly wrap your arms around his middle. âThank you Azzy. I love it.â
