#god i hate brickheadz

i'm gonna start a little series of weekly posts documenting every MoC i made (digitally) over the last few years:

week one: 2017. 1/2, because tumblr only allows max 30 images

mosaics, little builds and those fucking brickheadz

(most of these are going to be the pretty bad renders from the older version of stud.io because i do not really have the time to re-build render them in 2.0, mostly because a lot of those files only exist as .pngs)

to get familiar with the Stud.io building software, i had built some of my smaller tablescrap MoCs, i also built some things in lego digital designer earlier, but most of the files got corrupted or lost; i might try to find them, clean them up and render them in stud.io if i find them again (later maybe)

those two were my first fully digital builds (in stud.io) that i made. i'm still pretty happy with them, even if they're a little basic.

ash dies alone and the slugcat portrait. my first two works that i posted on twitter. edmund Mcmillen left a positive comment under the first one and i was really proud for a week. (we'll return to the slugcat portrait later) i'm also still pretty happy about those, even though i think they're way too static.

i don't know why, but these Binding of Isaac dudes are all saved as made in 2007, even though i definetly made them in 2017. i think they're made alright, but i just hate the brickheadz artstyle and the way it tries to imitate funko Pops.

2017, part 2/2:

more of those fucking brickheadz.

i made so fucking many of those in like, two or three days. i hate them so much

those are based on some youtubers and youtube things. i think a few of them are really well made (within the garbage artsyle of the brickheadz), but a lot are just baaaaaad. we got, in order, brickheadz based on Jacksepticeye, lifeofboris, der olli, Frodoapparat, LeFloid, Gronkh, Pandorya, Eddache, elliot gough, tomska, edd, matt and tom from eddsworld and two of the funky aliens from felix colgrave's Fewer the ghost by source music video.

just some filthy frank characters, why the fuck not.

i think these brickheadz just give a lot od insight into what 16 year old me was interested in. adventure time is waaaay better than rick and morty, by the way.

one or two of those fucking things were actually made in 2018, but i don't want to bog down the following posts with more of them.
