"But the smoke clears when you're around
Won't you stay with me, my darling?"
(from Curses - The Crane Wives)
Some personal stuff under the cut.
Grieving.
Which I am currently doing, so here's a vent art (kind of). To be put in grief so suddenly is something I'd never wish upon anyone, but life is difficult and unpredictable like that. I can't even begin to fathom how Chichi felt when she became a widow all of a sudden, if expecting to lose a family member already hurt this much.
It does hit different when you used to look for references of family altars for that one Mother's Day sketch, and now you've already been around the thing yourself often enough to draw from experience 🥲

Gochi week - napping
ChiChi had learned very early on in their marriage, that as much as her husband loved to be active, traversing even the most remote parts of Mount Paozu to find the best hunting and fishing spots, or training with seemingly reckless abandon, Goku was an absolute stickler for proper rest time.
Taking Gohan with him when he’d leave to go fishing or to spar when their boy had hit a wall in his studies; even Piccolo hadn’t been safe from his watch while he stayed with them while they were preparing for the androids. The Namekian would often find himself being dragged back to their home whether he was conscious or not after an exhaustive training session.
She'd lost count of how many times he'd literally swept her off her feet only to plop her down somewhere comfortable to take a break whenever he noticed she was overworking herself again.
So, even after he’d been gone for those seven years, she was only mildly surprised when she suddenly found herself cradled against his chest as he carried her to the living room and gently deposited her onto the couch before pressing the remote into her hand.
“All these years and you’re still the same, ya gotta learn how to take a break Chi.” Goku chided lightly, a hint of amusement in his voice and pressed a quick kiss to her lips before she had a chance to argue and straightened, heading back into the kitchen where he’d found her, finishing her task of clearing the table and counters before he started on the pile of dishes in the sink.
She was still tempted to argue with him, to insist she was fine, that she was used to the work, but this was one of the few things that he put his foot down over and knew from experience that he had no issue returning her to where he put her as many times as it took for her to eventually give up.
With no choice but to admit defeat, she huffed and called out a thank you, a small laugh escaping her when he flashed her that beaming smile of his when he knew that he’d won before turning back to his task.
Finding the sight of her husband far more interesting than whatever was on the tv at this time of day, ChiChi readjusted herself to a more comfortable position, watching him contently as he rocked from side to side, humming the theme song of a cartoon that Goten was currently obsessed with as he worked, almost entranced by the way his muscles bunched and relaxed under the thin material of his shirt.
He’d been back for weeks now and it still seemed so surreal to see him here, living and breathing, looking just as he did the morning he and Gohan had left to battle Cell.
It hadn’t been seamless of course, seven years was a long time to be away after all; but somehow he’d managed to slot himself back into their lives almost naturally, making moments like these feel like he’d never been gone in the first place.
A sense of peace washed over her, the feeling reminiscent of their first five years together before all the chaos that Raditz’ arrival had triggered and felt her eyes begin to droop; the running water, soft clinking of china and Goku’s soft baritone more potent than any lullabye.
Goku smiled softly as he felt ChiChi’s ki settle and even out, stifling a laugh when he peeked behind him to find her asleep, her head resting in the crook of her arm, leaning over the arm of the couch, the remote still hanging loosely from her other hand. He decided to let her sleep as long as she needed, knowing the adjustment to keep not only their boys fed, but now him as well was taking its toll on her, no matter how much she tried to deny it.
He quickly finished what was left and turned off the faucet, flicking the excess water from his hands before drying them and padded over to her, admiring his wife for a moment before gently scooping her up into his arms and settled himself onto the couch, repositioning her on his chest, taking care not to wake her.
He hummed his contentment as ChiChi snuggled into him further after he’d draped a blanket over them, the weight of her on him reminding him of just how much he had missed this while he was in Other World.
While he had stuck with his decision to stay among the dead, adamant to keep his family and friends safe, he’d regretted it so many times over the course of those seven years. Training and fighting in the Other World tournament had been fun and welcome distractions, but ChiChi and Gohan would always be on his mind whenever he’d had time to himself.
He’d always wonder how big Gohan was getting, if he was happy, how he was doing with his studies; he missed hearing about all the things he’d learned, his sweet boy excitedly spouting facts about some cool bug they’d found while out on a hike and him listening along eagerly, despite not knowing any of the terminology he’d used.
And then there was ChiChi; thinking about her had always been hard. She had been hurting so much the last few years before he’d died the second time, crisis after crisis popping up, always tied to him in one way or another and he realized not for the first time how lucky he had been that she’d decided to stay with him through all of it.
He knew she’d be angry and heartbroken when she learned of his death, but often wondered if she’d also been relieved when he’d decided to stay away.
Wondered if maybe she’d even found someone else who could give her the kind of life she’d wanted; a life of peace and safety, a life that despite his best efforts, he hadn’t been able to provide while alive.
The thought of her moving on had always brought a tightness to his chest that made it hard to breathe despite not having the need to do so. It wasn’t that he hadn’t wanted her to find happiness after his passing, nothing could be further from the truth; but the thought of another man holding her in his arms, being intimate with her in a way that only he’d known and her returning those affections drove his instincts haywire.
He couldn’t help the rush of emotion that coursed through him when he showed up at the tournament and there she was, just as beautiful as the morning he’d kissed her goodbye for the last time, teary eyed and happy to see him, making a point to tell him that she’d missed him.
And Gohan, his sweet, smart, amazing little boy, who was now just shy of being a man and nearly as tall as he was had quite literally thrown himself into his arms with a force that could’ve easily sent a lesser man flying, strong arms and legs curling around him in a bone crushing hug that was returned in equal fervor, no words needed in that moment as he held his boy, relieved that he hadn’t grown to hate him for his choice.
That relief had been short lived however, only to be replaced with guilt and regret after he’d put Gohan back down on his feet and caught the gaze of a tinier version of himself peeking at him from just behind ChiChi, his little hand gripping the fabric of her pants before he’d shyly ducked behind her legs.
He’d felt like his head was underwater, the excited ramblings from everyone around him  suddenly muffled, his knees going weak as the realization slammed into him harder than any opponent ever could.
She’d given him another son and he’d never known; never got to hold him in his first moments after he came into the world, never heard him say his first words, never seen him take his first steps, didn’t know his name, what he liked to do for fun, his favorite food, his favorite color, what he wanted to be when he grew up, or any of the other important things that a dad should know about his little boy.
When Goten had rushed into his arms after they’d introduced each other, he’d barely been able to keep the tears prickling in his eyes at bay as he scooped him up eagerly, overjoyed that his little boy had accepted him and wished that he’d had more time to be with his family than just the twenty four hours Baba was able to allow him.
In the aftermath of their fight with Buu, after the dust had settled and the adrenaline had faded, the realization that he’d been given another chance at life had finally started to sink in. He was eternally grateful for the Old Kai’s sacrifice, especially after ChiChi had quite literally sobbed with joy at the news that he was coming back for good, his boys clinging to him for dear life, tears in their eyes while they excitedly chattered over one another, telling him about all the things they wanted to show him.
“Honey? Wha’s wrong, you okay?” ChiChi asked, her head popping up from his chest after she’d felt the uptick in his heartbeat, her voice thick with sleep and laced with concern.
“I’m fine Chi, just thinkin’, go back to sleep.” He reassured sheepishly with a smile and ran his fingers through her hair that she’d tied back into a low ponytail, reminding him of when they were younger.
“Ya sure?” She prodded gently, knowing he had the habit of keeping his feelings hidden behind that goofy smile of his.
“I know ya say tha'cha ain't good at readin' ki, but I’m thinkin’ ya got a natural talent for it.” He praised in an attempt to distract her, delighting in the soft blush that dusted over her cheeks as she scootched herself further up his chest and met her halfway when she leaned in for a kiss.
“Or maybe, I’ve been wit'cha long enough to be able to read ya; now what’s on your mind?” She teased lightly when they parted and tapped him on the nose with her finger, looking at him expectantly and waited patiently when he sighed and his eyes softened.
“Just thinkin’ ‘bou'cha an' the boys an’ how much I missed out on; musta been hard raisin’ our boys all on your own for so long, ‘specially with them bein’ half Saiyan to boot. I shoulda come back when I had the chance and been there for ya.” Goku answered after another heavy sigh and let his head fall back against the arm of the couch, his eyes tracing invisible patterns into the ceiling.
“Hey,” ChiChi called out to him softly, her hand coming up to rest on his cheek, waiting to continue until he lifted his head to meet her eyes again. “I already told ya that I forgave ya when we talked after ya came home, an’ I meant it. Ya did what ya felt ya had to do in order to keep us safe. Now you’re back and have the opportunity to make up for lost time, ya shouldn’t waste it by getting stuck in the past and dwelling on what coulda been.” She reassured, tracing her fingertips over the lines of his face, her lips turning up into a smile after he’d given her a genuine smile this time.
“I love ya.” He said, catching her hand to press a kiss to her fingers.
“Love ya too; now, ya gonna tell me how long I’ve been asleep for?” She replied playfully, pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
“Not that long, maybe an hour?” He answered, humming thoughtfully after taking a look at the clock on the wall.
“An hour?! Goku you shoulda woke me up instead of comin’ to lay down with me! I’ve got cleanin’ to do and lunch an’ dinner to prep, and we still gotta meet with Old Mr.Taro about gettin’ that tractor; I’m gonna be so far behi-” ChiChi listed off worriedly, nearly scrambling to get off the couch when Goku’s arm wrapped around her securely, pulling her back into his lap as he sat up.
“Hey, hey, take it easy Chi! There’s no rush; I’ll help ya with the food, the house is already clean enough, it don’t need to be spotless an’ we don’t gotta meet with Mr. Taro ‘til the boys are almost outta school, we got plenty of time.” Goku countered, his tone filled with reassurance, his hand running up and down her back soothingly, easily coaxing her to relax back against him.
“But-” she tried to resist and went to push herself away from his chest when he cut her off, much to her annoyance.
“No buts, ya promised me that you’d stop gettin’ all worked up over the small things; you’re gonna end up givin’ yourself a heart attack from all that stress, an’ speakin’ from experience, it ain’t fun.” He argued lightly and pointed her with a look that made her deflate and lean back against him with a sigh.
“I’m sorry.” She apologized, her voice small as she tucked her head under his chin, feeling guilty; so far Goku had been holding up the promises he’d made and yet she was still struggling with keeping up just the one he’d asked of her.
“S’okay, I forgive ya. It’s gonna take practice, but I know you’ll get it eventually.” He encouraged, a slight teasing air to his voice and pulled her back just far enough to press his lips to her hairline, breathing in her scent deeply, humming contentedly as she calmed.
“Promise?” ChiChi asked, her voice lilting with affection as she rested back against his chest and wrapped one arm around him as much as she was able while her other hand traced patterns against his chest.
“Promise.” Goku answered, humming his pleasure when she kissed just above the collar of his shirt after he’d wrapped his arms around her, giving her an affectionate pat on the bottom before rubbing circles into her back until her weight once again sank against him fully.
He didn't bother to resist when he felt the need to yawn and scooted himself a bit lower so he wouldn't have to worry about having a crick in his neck when the alarm Chichi had set would eventually go off and let sleep claim him.

Gochi Fall Event
Posting the story I wrote for Day 4 for the GoChi Fall Event last month.
Title: Getting to Know Goten Pairing: Goku/Chi-Chi Characters: Goku, Chi-Chi, Gohan and baby Goten The loud baby’s cry woke Chi-Chi up very early that Saturday. It had been eight months since Goku sacrificed himself to kill Cell and there hasn’t been a single day that passed by that she didn’t wish he was still here and didn’t miss their youngest son being born and his first months of life. “Hello, Goten.” She said with a smile when she approached his crib. “How are you feeling today? Did you sleep well?” Goten simply smiled at her widely. Chi-Chi bit her lower lip and tried to fight her tears. He was a perfect replica of Goku and that made her cope with his absence in a better way. She picked him up and went to sit back on her bed, that was emptier without her husband. The baby immediately aimed for her breast. “Looks like someone’s hungry.” “Mom, where are you?” Gohan’s voice echoed from the hall and seconds later he appeared on her door. “Good morning, sweetheart.” Chi-Chi smiled warmly at him and tapped the space beside her on the bed. “Come here.” She pulled him into a hug the moment he sat by her side. “Did you sleep well?” “I did. Did you?” “Me too.” She lied, though she knew he knew it as well. “How are you feeling?” “I’m hanging in there. Some days are worse than the others. If my ego wasn’t so big, dad would still be here and wouldn’t miss Goten’s birth.” “It wasn’t your fault, Gohan.” She assured him. “You were just a child, your father should have known better. He should have been honest with you since the start and told you about his plan.” “I still feel bad about it.” He felt tears forming in his eyes. “I miss dad so much.” “Oh, Gohan.” Chi-Chi put a sleepy Goten on the bed and turned to her older son, wrapping her arms around him tight. “I know you do. I miss him too.” “Why did he decide to stay dead? I mean, I know he didn’t want any other enemies to come to Earth, but that also meant losing the moment Goten was born.” “I wasn’t happy about it either, but you know how your father is. Once he has this idea, nothing or no one can change his mind.” She stroked his hair softly. “I learned to live with that. It wouldn’t be Goku if he was different.” “You have a point.” Gohan pulled away from his mother. “I love you, mom.” “I love you too, sweetie. You’ve been so great throughout this situation. You’re the best partner I could ask for. Goten is very lucky to have you as a big brother.” “I’m lucky to have him too.” He bent over and grabbed his tiny hand. “It’s so amazing that he looks just like dad. It’s like I’m seeing him.” “I feel the same way. How about we have a picnic later on?” “A picnic?” “We can have a big red and white towel spread on our yard and a bunch of delicious food. Just you, me and Goten.” “I like that idea! I can help you prepare the food.” “I would love that. We can spend some time together too.” “Definitely. Let’s do this.” “I’m just going to put Goten back on his crib and then we can start.” “I can do this.” “Okay.” Chi-Chi watched proudly as her two sons bond. She wondered if Goku was listening to it all the way at Mr. Kaioh’s planet. **** Gohan was taking care of Goten in the yard while Chi-Chi prepared the rest of the food. “Gohan, can you help me over here with the food for a moment?” “What about Goten, mom?” “You can put him in the trolley.” “But…” “It’s okay, sweetie. He won’t get hurt. We’ll be right there.” “Okay.” “Wow, mom, everything is delicious.” Gohan stated after he finished his second dish. “Thank you, sweetie. You can eat more if you want to. There’s enough food.” “I think I’m full.” He looked down at his brother and noticed he couldn’t stop staring at the center of the towel. “But Goten wants it.” “That’s the Saiyan blood talking. Being extra hungry since a baby.” “Was I like this too?” “No, you didn’t eat as much. Maybe because you didn’t have the ability to turn into a Saiyan until you were in your late childhood.” “So you think Goten can already do it?” “It’s very likely. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could turn into a Saiyan form at a young age.” “He’s very strong already.” Gohan looked down at him. “I can feel his ki.” “We’ll have to train him ourselves when he’s old enough.” “What? Train him?” “With your father gone and what happened a few months ago, I feel like we can have as much help as we need. Who knows when another evil force comes to Earth. What do you think?” “Mom, I think it’s a great idea! We can definitely teach him how to be a fighter.” “I haven’t done it in a long time and am nowhere as strong as you and Goku, but I hope I can at least do something to help.” “Can we do it too? I don’t remember seeing you fight and I’d really like to train with you.” “I’m sorry, Gohan.” Chi-Chi bit her lower lip and took a deep breath. “For what?” “For being overly strict with you about studying when you were younger. I still think it must be a priority, but I could have let you train with your father a little.” “No, don’t apologize. It’s not your fault, mom. I didn’t want to be a fighter back then and I still don’t, but not everything goes our way. I still want to be a successful scientist.” “Of course.” Gohan assured her. “But I learned that fighting is also important, to protect our planet. I can’t become a scientist if there’s no Earth, right?” “When did you become so mature?” She blinked with surprise. “Let’s see, when I was four I was forced to deal with dangerous animals and learn to get by.” “Okay, okay, I get it.” Chi-Chi cut him off, not at all wanting to relive the year he was taken away from her. “I’m sorry.” He apologized. “I didn’t mean to make you upset or anything.” “You didn’t. It’s just a delicate subject. Anyway, let’s change the subject.” “Do you think Goten would like a piggyback ride?” “Definitely! He’s still very little to be steady on his own, but I can hold him.” “Great.” Gohan handed his brother to their mother and seconds later felt him over his back with his little legs falling over his shoulders. **** Chi-Chi walked outside the next morning holding a hot cup of coffee. She had found an orange sweater that belonged to Goku in their wardrobe and decided to wear it, something that felt perfectly for that chilly morning. Wearing it made her miss him a little more, but it was like she could feel his presence behind her. She shook her head and drank a little more of her black coffee. “I really wish you were here today, Goku. I miss you so much.” “I missed you too, Chi-Chi.” She held her cup of coffee tight not to drop it because of her shock. She felt her eyes tear up even before she began to turn around. She bit her lower lip and took a deep breath before looking up at him. “You’re really here?” “I am.” He had the widest grin on his face. “I’ve waited for this day for so long.” She hesitantly ran her hands through his arms, to make sure he wasn’t a mirage or something. “And now it’s finally here. You’re going to come back for real, right?” “Absolutely. I couldn’t wait to come back and see you. It was very hard to spend this year away.” “Then why didn’t you come back sooner? Why did you only wait until now to be brought back to life?” “As confusing as it sounds, I wanted to train a little more with Mr. Kaioh.” “You didn’t come back right away because you wanted to train?!” She was so angry she nearly shouted. “What about me and Gohan, huh? Have you at least thought about us?” “Of course I have. I haven’t spent a single day without thinking about you two. But training wasn’t the only reason why I decided to stay dead, actually it was the least important one. I just couldn’t risk putting the entire planet into danger again and we both know it would happen eventually if I came back. I thought you’d know that by now.” “I do know it. But I also got to see Gohan blame himself for being extra confident to defeat Cell and you having to step in and end things on your own. The first months were very hard for him, until Goten was born. He had to be stronger for his little brother and for me too. He didn’t say it out loud, but I know he felt that way.” “I’m sorry, Chi-Chi. I had no idea you all felt this way. I thought I was looking out for everyone by making that decision. I didn’t think about how you and Gohan would feel and I’m sorry for that. I want to make up for it.” “Well, you can start by meeting your son.” “Yes, I would love to see Gohan again. Where’s he?” Goku looked over his shoulder, searching for him. “Not Gohan, Goten. I was pregnant when you decided to sacrifice yourself, remember?” “That’s right. I stayed alive for two or three months after you said you were carrying a baby. How old is he now?” “Four months. He’s the sweetest baby ever.” “Where’s he now?” “He’s upstairs, sleeping.” Chi-Chi began to head to the house and looked over her shoulder towards him. “Do you want to meet him?” “Of course, of course.” “Then don’t just stay there. Let’s get inside. You’ll be beyond surprised when you see him, trust me.” Goku followed Chi-Chi upstairs and noticed a lot of things had changed since he was gone. The most significant one was the crib that used to be in their bedroom wasn’t anymore. “It’s in Gohan’s bedroom now.” “Huh?” He looked at her with a puzzled expression. “You were going to ask about Goten’s crib, weren’t you?” “Well, yeah. So they are sleeping together now?” “They are. I thought it would be good for Gohan to have a company. Goten adjusted pretty well to this change.” “That’s good. So were are they?” “They are sleeping on our bed. Sometimes I let them do that.” Chi-Chi looked at him. “Are you ready?” He nodded. “I’ve been ready for his moment for almost a year.” “Goku, meet your son, Goten.” Goku couldn’t stop a smile from coming into his lips. It was like he was staring at his child version. “Chi-Chi, he looks just like me!” “I said you’d be beyond surprised. Me and Gohan were too. But in the end, I think he helped us miss you less, if that makes sense.” She looked down at him and smiled. “It looks like he’s awake.” There was a moment of silence in which Goku and Goten just stared at each other, in awe and curiosity, respectively. The Saiyan shared a look with his wife and she nodded encouragingly. “You can pick him up.” He stretched his arms and held him in his arms. He had forgotten what it was like to hold a baby. “Chi-Chi, he’s so pretty.” “Yes, he is.” Chi-Chi couldn’t help but smile at their little bonding moment. “We do make some pretty children, don’t we?” “Absolutely.” Goku held Goten with only one arm and watched as his tiny hand wrapped around his index finger. “Hello, Goten. It’s daddy.” It didn’t take long for the baby to grin at him, which caused him to grin just as much. “He knows who I am.” “Of course he does.” Chi-Chi stroked Goten’s hair softly. “He heard your voice when you talked to him while I was still pregnant with him.” “Dad!” Gohan exclaimed and hugged Goku as tight as he could. “When did you come back?” “Not too long ago, son. You became really strong.” “Thanks.” He blushed a little. “I missed you so much!” “I missed you too, son.” “You’re staying for good this time, aren’t you?” “That’s the plan.” His tone was excited. “Cool!” The boy felt like crying and then looked down at his little brother. “Goten will love having you around.” “And I can’t wait to get to know him.” Goku looked down at the baby Saiyan in his arm. **** “Gohan, where are you?” Chi-Chi yelled from the door, cupping her mouth so her voice could echo longer and louder. “It’s dinner time.” “Hasn’t he come back yet?” Goku came down with Goten in his arms. “Not yet. He went to the river and hasn’t come back for snacks like he does everyday. I’m worried about him.” “I’ll go find him.” “Thank you. And put on some warm clothes on Goten if you take him with you. It’s cold outside.” “Got it.” “Gohan!” Goku yelled, though he didn’t have to. He could feel his son’s ki near the lake and headed there with Goten in his arms. “There you are.” “I should have known you’d find me through my ki.” “You really should.” He said lightly and sat next to Gohan. “Didn’t you hear your mother calling you? Dinner is ready.” “I heard her, but I’m not hungry.” “Gohan!” Goten threw himself towards him and he picked him up. “You’re not hungry? That’s too bad, the smell of the food is delicious.” Goku gave a light punch on his forearm, but he didn’t react at all. “Alright, so Chi-Chi...” “I’m sorry, dad.” Gohan said in an impulse and cut him off. “I’m sorry for getting you killed almost a year ago. If I hadn’t had such a big ego, things...” “Is that what you think?” The oldest Saiyan leaned a bit forward and placed his arms over his thighs, still looking at the calm river ahead. “That’s funny, because I think you were pretty brave out there.” “What?” The boy turned to him. “I wasn’t.” “No, you were.” Goku squeezed his shoulder a little tight. “I should have told you about the plan since the beginning. Piccolo warned me, but I didn’t listen. I thought I was doing the right thing. So I’m the one who needs to apologize.” “Dad.” Gohan’s eyes were teary. “It’s not your fault, really. It’s mine. And because of me, you missed half of mom’s pregnancy and the first months of Goten’s life.” “Hey, I don’t want you to blame yourself anymore. It was my decision to stay dead and keep the Earth safe for a while. I thought I was protecting the three of you, but I didn’t realize you and Chi-Chi would miss me.” “Yeah.” “But I’m back for good now, and I really don’t want you to be upset at me. So can we just forgive each other?” Goku placed his arm over Gohan’s shoulder and grinned. “Because there hasn’t been a single day that I didn’t miss my fight partner. And, if you want, I’d love to be yours again.” “Of course!” He exclaimed. “Awesome.” Goku stood up and then offered him his hand. “Now let’s go back. Your mother must be worried about you.” “Okay.” “Finally!” Chi-Chi ran outside when she saw they coming and hugged Gohan tight. “I was worried about you. Where have you been?” “I was by the river. I’m sorry, mom. I lost track of time.” “It’s okay, sweetie. Go take a shower. Dinner is ready. We’ll wait for you.” “Alright.” He ran inside the house as fast as he could. “Did you talk to him?” She grabbed Goku’s forearm and they shared a look. “Yes, I did.” “And? Don’t leave me hanging, Goku. I want to know how it went.” “Well, I think he won’t blame himself anymore. I apologized to him and he opened up to me and here we are.” “I’m so happy to hear that!” She stood on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. “Thank you!” “You’re welcome. Hey, Chi-Chi.” He reached for her hand when she began to walk away. “What?” “Can we…” He looked down at Goten and then at her. “You know?” “Oh.” She felt her cheeks burn and was unable to contain a smile. “Absolutely.”

The Red Thread of Fate
A story for (CC) Carol Winner of the @the-gochi-awards Favorite Comic
Goku stretched his arms over his head as he woke from his nap. He groaned when he heard the sounds of rain tapping the window. It was the rains’ fault for his nap. It rained all day so he couldn’t go outside to train. He could but his new wife wouldn’t allow it. The first time he came home after training in the rain, he spread mud all over the floor. It enraged ChiChi so much she forbid him to train when it rained. Goku, not wanting to anger his new bride oblige. When it rained, Goku stayed home. Sometimes he spent it with ChiChi and other times like now, he took a nap.
“Goku!” He turned to see his wife come downstairs. The way she said his name told Goku ChiChi was in a really good mood. Despite her temper, Goku learned his wife was generally a happy person so whatever she was in the mood for, Goku figured it must be good for both of them. “Show me your little finger.”
ChiChi held her hand up with her pinky finger extended to him. Goku thought her excitement meant she cooked a meal for him or she changed her mind about him training in the rain. He figured his new wife was keen to teach him many things. Some he really liked (kissing, sexy times), some confused him (shopping) and some he didn’t like (work). He hoped whatever she will teach him will be something he will like.
“Okay.” Goku extended his pinky to ChiChi. “Now what?”
“Have you heard of the ‘Red Thread of Fate’?”
No. ChiChi looked so happy about it. If ChiChi was this happy, Goku tried to guess. He wondered if it was food. He hoped so. He wouldn’t mind having a meal now. “No. Is it something about food?”
“NO!” ChiChi groaned exasperated. “Why do you always make everything about food?”
“Sorry,” Goku apologized, “but you know I don’t know a lot of stuff, ChiChi. What is it?”
“It’s an invisible line that links people to their true love. See?” ChiChi wrapped a red thread around her pinky finger and she wrapped another around Goku’s little finger. “Like this. It will connect us our whole life… until we die.”
Goku pulled the string linking his finger with ChiChi’s. He was skeptical to believe this red string could connect them. He wanted to believe ChiChi but the string felt thin and weak. “Are you sure? It’s just a regular string. Won’t we need a stronger one? I can ask Kami for a stronger one.”
“No,” ChiChi flexed her finger to show the string was strong enough for them. “This red string is a symbol to reflect our connection and dedication to each other. We don’t need anything else.”
If ChiChi was sure this string was strong enough, Goku believed her. She knew more about love and marriage than him. “Okay. If you say so.”
 Five Years Later
“What’s the matter with you, Goku?” King Kai noticed his pupil in a down mood. As upbeat and jovial Goku acted, there were times Goku was depressed. It was rare and something Goku tried to hide from the wise Kai of the North but he knew and gently tried to pursue Goku to share his thoughts. “Is my cooking that bad?” He thought the joke would crack a smile but the dead warrior merely sighed and
looked away. He must be in a sour mood to not comment about his food. Goku never held back how the meals King Kai cooked were bland.
“King Kai,” Goku suddenly spoke, “are connections to people broken when they die?”
So, that’s what going on. Goku missed his family. “Connections are never broken if you don’t forget about them, Goku. The connection is severed now because you are dead, but you’ll be back with them and your connection to them will be stronger than ever.”
“Really?” Goku brightened hopeful the Kai of the North was correct. “I’ll be reconnected to ChiChi again?”
“Of course, Goku.” King Kai assured him. “After this mess with the Saiyans, you’ll go home and be with your family for a very long time. I’m sure of it.”
 Four Years Later
King Kai knew when Goku died again, he couldn’t leave Goku in the afterlife alone. For all his innocent, happiness and his ability to handle things alone, he had another side and learning of Goku’s time on Earth, King Kai knew Goku would be lonely. He didn’t want Goku, after making many friends in his life, to retract to that little boy left alone after his Grandpa Gohan died.
King Kai expected growing pains from Goku this time because he knew he wasn’t returning to the living in a year. He will be dead forever and separated from his family for many years. So far, their time on the Grand Kai’s planet has been very enjoyable. Goku was happy and got along with all the fighters. He was eager to spar with them and study all the new fighting techniques they possessed. The newness of the situation took Goku’s mind off his decision to stay dead but King Kai knew the crash will come when it hits Goku on what he did.
 Which was now.
Time passed differently in the afterlife and Goku spent several days from Grand Kai’s palace. Some fighters hadn’t noticed; some had and suspected but King Kai knew why. In Earth’s time, Goku was gone for a week. King Kai thought that was too long for Goku to dwell in his own thoughts.
He found Goku sitting on one of the high peaks of a mountain staring at the sky. King Kai settled beside him. He knew now was not the time for his terrible jokes. He saw the sadness in the warrior’s eyes and knew he was thinking of his family and their severed connection. Being a God in his own right, the Kai of the North never needed strong ties like family. He had a connection to Bubbles and Gregory and his precious car but it wasn’t like the feelings Goku shared for his family. Spending time with Goku he understood the human emotions to it and why humans (some) cherish it.
“King Kai, can connections be established again if it’s severed for a long time like years?”
“Of course, Goku. You know no matter how many years you are apart, you will never lose that connection to your family. Just keep remembering them and know the next time you see them, you won’t be apart again.” He had a wife and son he thought about but King Kai knew his current feelings were for his wife. He said goodbye to his son but not to her. “Your wife, ChiChi, will be so happy to see you again.”
Goku looked away to briefly rub his eyes. “Really?”
King Kai patted Goku’s back again. Sometimes he really was an innocent child who needed reassurance. “I’m sure of it, Goku.”
 Seven Years Later
It was raining again but Goku didn’t think the day was boring. Nope. Not anymore. After being dead for seven years, every day was fun and exciting even the dreary rainy ones. It sure was quiet. With Gohan at school and Goten in his room doing schoolwork, the day was very quiet but Goku didn’t mind. ChiChi was with him, sewing and talking of their precious, youngest son. Yesterday, during a hike with Goku, he ripped his shirt off a tree branch. That was the story Goten told her but ChiChi knew her son was sparring with his Daddy.
ChiChi sorted her knitting basket pulling out balls of yarns and spools. “Oh, dear. I think I ran out of orange.” ChiChi pulled a red spool from her knitting basket. “But I think this red thread will match nicely with Goten’s shirt.”
Red thread? It was as if a clap of thunder struck him. He has been home for nearly two months and he forgot again. He snatched the spool from ChiChi. Yup. Yup. This was it. Goku unfurled a short string and wrapped it around his left pinky. Hmm not enough he decided. Goku extended it to wrap around his ring finger. Nope. Still not enough. He wrapped it around his middle, forefinger and thumb. He looped a red thread around his wrist. The more the better Goku thought but to be sure, he wrapped string around the pinky of his right hand and ChiChi’s left pinky.
“Goku,” ChiChi looked at the thread linking her and Goku’s hands, “what are you doing?” She was deeply appreciative Goku was back and loved enjoying his company again but there were times like now he truly confused her and she wasn’t in the mood for any games. “You suddenly took my thread. I’m fixing Goten’s cloth.”
“ChiChi, you remember this?” The red spool of thread she bought at the market? Not really. “‘The Red Thread of Fate’?” Oh. That. It had been so long but ChiChi remembered sharing the story when they were newlyweds. Goku didn’t understand then and ChiChi didn’t think Goku really cared or remembered but he did.
“You…..” ChiChi was awed and so happy to be wrong, “you remembered.”
Goku confirmed with a nod. “You said this will connect us until we die….. but I died already before. I forgot to do this when I came back from Yardrat.” He felt a little silly now as he stared at his hands. Perhaps, he did go too far wrapping it. “So I used this thread to link us again. It’ll work, right?” He was optimistic it will work but he needed ChiChi’s assurance. “See? Not only the little finger but I tied my whole hand.” ChiChi didn’t speak but the tears in her eyes and her beautiful smile told him all he needed to know. It will work. “Yes, it sure will.”
“Yes, it will work,” ChiChi choked overwhelmed with tears. He remembered. He understood. “Oh, Goku,” ChiChi grabbed Goku’s hands and linked them with hers. “Thank you. You don’t know how much it means you remember.”
“Ah, ChiChi,” ChiChi being so happy always warmed his heart. “Don’t cry. You know what that does to me.”
“I can’t help it. You’ve made me so happy. We’ll always be together,” ChiChi promised. “No matter what.” A silly tale or a story with seeds of truth, ChiChi knew she and Goku will always be together.

"Thanks for breakfast, babe! It was great!" I said as I rubbed my very full stomach.
Chichi's cooking was always amazing.
She smiled over her shoulder at me as she scrubbed our dishes. "You're welcome, Goku."
I stood from my seat at our kitchen table. "I'm going to go train! I'll back later today."
Chichi spun to face me, her eyes narrowed. "Wait a minute! Don't tell me you forgot about today!"
"Uh. Today?"
Chichi sighed as her shoulders slumped. "Never-mind," she said as she turned her back on me.
Gohan stared at me, his eyebrows raised. I glanced at Chichi to make sure she wasn't looking, and winked at Gohan. He smiled.
"What's today?" asked Goten.
I looked at him and shook my head.
I knew full well what the day was. Chichi's little sighs and the slump in her shoulders made me question my plan. Truth be told, I had far more than that little bit of upset to make up to her—missed anniversaries, missed birthdays, and missed Valentine's Days.
I had to make this one the best Valentine's Day ever for her and I knew exactly what to get her.
I went upstairs, grabbed a pair of blue jeans and a tan sweater Chichi knitted for me. Chichi liked me better in street clothes but I didn't want to mess them up while I set everything up for the evening.
"Now, I need some zenni," I murmured.
I grabbed the envelope containing money from our farm's first vegetable harvest. Chichi didn't know about that money yet. I promised Chichi I'd get a job when I got better from the heart virus and make us some money. Took me a while to keep that promise but I did. I stuck the envelope in my gi pocket.
I heard a creak outside our closed bedroom door and ran to our open window, wide-eyed. I dove out of it and landed on my feet on the grass as I heard our bedroom door open. I grimaced before I realized that was my chance to run into the kitchen and grab what I needed there.
Thankfully, the back door was unlocked.
"I thought you left already," said Gohan with an eyebrow raised.
I threw a look at Gohan I pressed a finger to my lips as I glanced at the hallway.
Gohan chuckled.
"I wont tell mom."
I had no idea when she would come back into the kitchen so I worked as fast and as carefully as I could. I grabbed our picnic basket and carefully stacked several dishes and a couple sets of silverware in it.
Gohan approached with the neatly folded family picnic blanket in hand. He handed it to me. "Thanks, son."
Goten watched us from where he sat at the kitchen table, drawing a picture.
"Don't tell your mom I was here, okay?" I said.
Goten nodded. "Okay. But why? Where are you going?"
I chuckled and said in a quiet voice, "You'll understand when you're older."
I heard the bedroom door open.
"Uh oh," I murmured.
I slipped out the way I came in with one last wink at the boys. I kicked into the sky and took off toward Satan City to find my first gift to her. While out on a recent family shopping trip for new clothes, Chichi stopped to admire a ruby necklace with a delicate silver chain in a jewelry store's window display, a small smile on her lips.
The shop was easy to find again, the same necklace still on display. Good thing I had enough zenni for it. The clerk placed it in a red velvet box the same shade as the ruby and put the box in a silver gift bag with a red bow matching the box. He bowed as he handed the bag to me.
Then it was off to Bulma's. I needed to ask her if Goten could stay at her place with Trunks, anyway.
+++
The dragon ball radar beeped in my hand, showing me the location of the last dragon ball right under my feet. I was somewhere deep in a hot, sandy desert wasteland. Something glittered in the ground right in front of my clothes. I pulled the last dragon ball out of the sand, put it in the chest Bulma had given me to carry the dragon balls in, and took off toward home.
I landed in front of the giant apple tree. In addition to the radar and a nice chest for the dragon balls, Bulma had even given me lanterns for the sunset picnic. I smoothed the blanket over the grass and set the chest on a corner. I set the lanterns around our picnic blanket and lit them with tiny sparks of ki.
Once that was done, I changed out of my dirty gi and put on the sweater and jeans I grabbed earlier.
I nodded at my handiwork. "Now, we all we need is food."
I flew back to Satan City and got some takeout from one of our favorite restaurants. Our food was still nice and hot when I got to our apple tree with it. Instant Transmission really came in handy sometimes. I set out the meal and placed the lanterns around the picnic blanket, lighting them with tiny sparks of ki.
I flew home and climbed in through our open bedroom window. In the hallway, I knocked on Goten's door.
He opened it
"Hey, buddy. You want to go spend the night with Trunks tonight?"
Goten grinned. "Yeah!"
I chuckled. "Pack a bag. We'll leave as soon as you're ready."
"'Kay!"
Goten hurried around his room, stuffing clothes and toys into his backpack. He pulled on his shoes. "Ready!"
"Where do you think you're going, young man?" asked Chichi.
I winced and so did Goten.
"Oh. Ch-Chichi," I stammered. "Ah. Heh. Goten's going to go spend the night with Trunks. I already cleared it with Bulma."
Chichi put her hands on her hips. "Is your homework finished?"
Goten nodded as he turned big, pleading eyes on his mother. "Yep! Can I go, Mommy?"
Chichi's stern frown softened. "Oh, I suppose."
"Yay!"
Goten dashed past Chichi and me and into the living room.
"Where's Gohan?" I asked.
Chichi sighed. "He left to go take Videl out tonight."
I nodded. "Good."
I walked past her and then winked over my shoulder at her. "Oh. And don't worry about dinner tonight. I want you to relax."
Her narrowed eyes softened.
"Let's go, daddy!" called Goten.
"I'm comin'."
+++
"Thanks again, Bulma," I said.
Bulma smiled. "No problem, Goku."
I locked onto Chichi's energy and found her putting away chopped up meats and vegetables. I snuck up behind her, reached out—
Chichi spun around, a shoved slender a finger into my chest, and glared up at me. "You haven't been training. You're not even wearing that gi you always do."
"Heh, babe, I'll never understand how you do that."
Her finger dropped away from my chest. "Huh? Do what?"
"Know when I'm sneakin' up on ya."
Chichi's lips twitched up. "Oh, a woman has her ways." Her eyes narrowed again. "Now, what have you been up to?"
I took her hands in mine. "Why don't you come with me and find out?"
I led her outside and scooped her up. Chichi yelped and giggled when I kicked into the air. The flight to the apple tree only took a few seconds. I set her on her feet just off the blanket.
"Oh, Goku," said Chichi as she folded her hands at her chest. "This is what you've been doing?"
I nodded. "You do so much for us. I wanted to do something for you."
Her eyes welled up and my heart raced. I always panicked a little when she cried—even if she was happy. Chichi threw her arms around me before I could decide what to do or say. My arms settled around her and she turned her face up to me. Chichi pushed herself up on her tiptoes and pressed her soft lips on the corner of mine. My heart flip-flopped in my chest.
A growl echoed around the mountains and it took me a moment to realize the growl came from me.
Chichi laughed. "We better not keep that stomach of yours waiting."
I scratched the back of my head and chuckled.
After our meal, I handed Chichi the gift bag. She untied the bow with great care and opened the bag. With a glance at me, she held up the red velvet box and opened it.
Chichi gasped. "Oh, Sweetheart!"
She lifted the necklace out of the box and cradled the ruby pendant in her hand, letting the delicate chain dangle from her fingers. She undid the tiny clasp and put it on. Chichi asked me to put a necklace on her once when we were newlyweds and I broke it. I didn't dare try to help her now.
"It's beautiful!" said Chichi.
"You're prettier," I said.
Chichi giggled.
"One more thing," I said.
I picked up the wooden chest and set it in front of her.
One of Chichi's hands went to her chest. "What in the world?"
"Open it up."
Chichi opened the latch with a quiet click and lifted the lid. Her mouth fell open. The dragon balls' glow danced in her eyes. Her eyes welled up again, a hand going up to cover her open mouth as her gaze darted to meet mine.
I reached over the chest and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "I want you to wish for whatever you want, Chi. Happy Valentine's Day. Sorry I missed so many."
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
I moved the chest aside and scooted up to her. I wiped her tears away.
Chichi wrapped her arms around me. "Just having you home is enough."
Yeah. I definitely missed too many.

A Son Family Christmas
A/N: Ok so this was originally a secret santa present from years ago, that I recently rediscovered and made some new additions and cleaned up some things. As usual this takes place in the End of Z era, this time 9 years after Majin Buu. And lots of cute family+ship fluff. might need to go to the dentist afterwards lmao
Words: 3721 (i got carried away lol)
Pairings: little bits of Gochi, HanVi, MarTen and K18.
Mostly a Pan focused fic though!
enjoy :)
Christmas Eve; Age 783.
A blizzard howled and whistled from outside, covering the grassy mountain in a sparkling sheet of white snow.
Mt. Paozu was pitch-dark, except for the lights that came from a small cottage deep in the woods.
This was the home of Earth’s greatest hero.
The Son family decided to throw a Christmas party for themselves at their little mountain cottage. Goku invited Krillin and his family as well. The former monk was already pretty much family to Goku anyway, only more so when Goku and Krillin’s kids started dating each other the previous year.
It was the day everyone was looking forward to, but nobody was more excited than Son Pan.
Pan was three years old now, and could finally understand the concept of the holiday, as well as the magic and excitement behind waking up the next morning to find presents underneath the Christmas tree.
The toddler stared around at her grandparents’ fully decorated house in wide-eyed wonder. Garland wrapped around the railings and banisters; little models of Santa and reindeer on the countertops, a wreath on their front door, and so much more. Chi-Chi always loved going all out, it was her favorite holiday.
But what really had young Pan’s attention was the big, beautiful Christmas tree sitting in the foyer, filling the house with the strong but familiar scent of the forest.  It dwarfed little Pan by several feet, but she wasn’t scared.  She loved it.  Lush green branches were adorned with ornaments of all shapes and colors. Rainbow lights twinkled in mesmerizing fashion. High above her head, at the very top of the tree, sat a big, shining golden star -- a decoration she got to add herself.
Every year, the Son family had a tradition to go out on Mt. Paozu and cut down the perfect tree. Goku knew the best spots. He always did -- even as far back as before Gohan was born. But nowadays they had to find two trees. One for Goku and Chi-Chi’s house, and the other for Gohan and Videl’s next door.
Pan sighed. She just wanted it to be bedtime so it could be tomorrow! She wanted presents! Every minute felt like an hour to her. The little girl tiptoed around, looking for any hidden presents but found no luck. She frowned. How was she even sure Santa would really come?! She had to keep her mind off that tree and the eventual presents somehow or she’d go crazy!
The three-year-old trotted into the kitchen to see what everyone else was up to.
The adults were all hard at work preparing the feast. Chi-Chi, Videl, 18, and Gohan busied back and forth to create the feast. Krillin and Goku did what they could, but usually ended up making things worse so they were ordered to stay put at the dining room table. If Goku was out in the wilderness, he could cook meat or fish just fine. But using a stove and all those utensils just wasn’t his thing.
Goku spotted his granddaughter looking around and called her over. “Pssst… Panny…”
The toddler tilted her head curiously to the side and went over to him, smiling as wide as could be. “Hi, Grandpa!”
Goku flashed one of his signature grins in response. He then put a finger to his mouth, still smiling, signaling the little one to be quiet. Pan covered her mouth to stop from giggling. Secrets were fun!
Pan blinked as Goku momentarily glanced to his wife to see if she was watching. Luckily, she was too preoccupied. When the coast was clear, he reached into his pockets.
“I got somethin’ for ya.”
Pan’s eyes sparkled with wonder. “What?”
“Don’t tell Grandma, okay? It’s a secret…” Goku grinned mischievously as he pulled out a small bag of cookies. He had stolen a few when Chi-Chi wasn’t looking; the wait for the food combined with how good everything smelled was too much for him. Krillin just shook his head with a smile.
She happily took them from her grandpa and stuffed them all in her mouth in one bite. With her full cheeks puffed out, she grinned back at her grandpa and Goku returned it.
The toddler hugged Goku and smiled before trotting over the counter where Chi-Chi was cutting food and occasionally stirring something in a pot. Pan tugged on her dress lightly, peering up at her. “Grandma?”
“Yes sweetie?” Chi-Chi cooed, stopping what she was doing to face her darling granddaughter.
“Can I helps you?”
Gohan ruffled his daughter’s hair as he helped make a dish. “Pan, don’t bother Grandma when she’s cooking; we’re all working really hard on this meal for everyone. Why don’t you see what Marron and Uncle Goten are doing?” He felt bad, and spoke calmly to not upset his young daughter, but he knew more than anyone that Goten was better equipped to preoccupy her right now.
Pan pouted. “Fine.”
“Oh hush, Gohan. Everything’s on schedule,” Chi-ChI replied, making her granddaughter smile again. “And of course you can help, Panny. You can help stir for me!”
Pan floated up and gently stirred the hotpot, happily singing ‘la la la’ like she had heard her grandmother do in the past. “How long does this take? All the food is in this big bucket?” As it turned out, this wasn’t nearly as fun as she thought.
“Should be all done in about thirty minutes.” Chi-Chi said, gently patting her head.
Pan’s mouth went into a small ‘o’ shape, trying to count how long that was on her fingers. It took her a bit to get to thirty “That takes too long. This is boring!” Pan replied.
Goku and Krillin tried not to laugh as she floated back down to the wooden floor. Their wives shot them a quick look and they both turned away, innocently whistling like they didn’t make a sound. Two peas in a pod, those two. 18 and Chi-Chi just giggled to themselves.
Pan shrugged her shoulders, scurrying back to the living room to see if she could find her uncle. Goten always had the best video games to play!
“Uncle Goten!! Where are ya!!?” Pan called out to him.
No answer. Pan frowned. “Is he hidin’ from me?” She noticed the television was still on, and his phone sat on the couch. But no Uncle Goten. But then, she caught something out of the corner of her eye from the other side of the Christmas tree.
Pan tiptoed around the tree, when she finally saw them right in the middle of a soft, tender kiss. Above their heads was a small mistletoe, hanging over the archway. In that moment nothing else mattered to them except each other.
Until...
CLICK
“Great shot, man.”
The sound of a camera shuttering followed by the voice of Krillin broke the two teens out of their tender embrace. Goten’s jaw dropped, and then he just facepalmed with both hands. Marron followed his line of sight to see his father standing there, camera in hand. She should’ve expected this...
“Dad!! W-What are you doing?!” Marron practically shrieked. The blonde’s whole face went red from ear to ear, shoulders shaking. Steam was practically coming off her face. It was embarrassing enough her parents were so lovey-dovey on a regular basis, but now she got caught in the middle of her most awaited special moment with her Goten of the holiday season!
“What does it look like? I’m capturing a special Christmas moment of my daughter!”
CLICK
Krillin  got another picture at their flustered reactions. “But that one was just for fun.”
“Your mother will get a kick out of this!” Goku added, sporting a wide grin similar to his oldest friend.
“Grandpa! What’s that leaf over Uncle Goten’s head? Why were him and Aunt Marron playing kissy-face?” Pan asked eagerly. It looked like something she’d find on the ground before the snow came. She didn’t get why it was so special.
“It’s called a mistletoe, Pan. When two people get caught under it, they have to do that.”
“Misty Toe? That’s a dumb name!!” Pan broke into giggles again. “Uncle Goten is under a big toe!”
Eighteen came out to the living room, ignoring the two former Turtle School fighters who were still carrying on about their kids. Marron and Goten didn’t find it so funny!
“Marron, could you help me in here for a moment?”
“Sure!” Marron said, finally shaking off her flustered state and went to the kitchen. Any way to be away from this scenario.
Shrugging, Goten turned on the PlayStation to kill some time. The familiar start up sound soothed his ears and he sat down to play. He let Pan play on his phone in the meantime.
“Hey Uncle Goten…?” Pan climbed up on the other side of the couch after getting bored rather quickly.
“What’s up, squirt?”
“Is Santa Claus really comin’ tonight?”
“Definitely.” He grinned at her childlike innocence; it reminded Goten of himself at that age. “You gotta be asleep, though. He won’t come if you’re awake!”
“How does he know?”
Goten patted his niece’s head. “It’s ‘cause he’s magic, Panny.”
“Magic? Is that like how Grandma always knows when Grandpa does something bad?”
“Somethin’ like that.” Goten chuckled. For a three year old, Pan was much more aware of things than she let on.
Coming back to the living room, Marron plopped down next to Goten, leaning against his arm. Now that she was over the embarrassment of getting caught by her father and Goku, the blonde wanted to make up for lost time. She watched him play for a bit, and then turned to him with a sly smirk. “Bet I can beat you.”
“Yeah you probably can, cause you’re a big cheater.” Goten replied with a cheeky grin, not keeping his eyes off the screen.
“Hey! I am not a cheater!” Marron huffed, her bright blue eyes narrowing at him. “It’s not my fault you just get so easily distracted!”
“That’s why it’s cheating! You always play dirty by kissing me right when I’m about to win!!”
“You call it cheating, I call it strategy.”
Goten normally would never say no to a kiss from his beautiful girlfriend, but she’d always steal the win while he was still reeling from the kiss! It wasn’t fair! One time, Goten tried the same trick on her, but it didn’t quite work the way he intended. It backfired entirely, actually. As she just kissed him back and they both ended up completely  forgetting about the video game soon after that.
Marron’s frown turned into a sly grin. If that’s how he wanted to play, fine. She knew exactly what buttons to push. “Fine. I just won’t kiss you ever again. How does that sound?”
“N-No, w-wait! I, uh...” Goten gulped. His mouth became dry, the words getting caught in his throat. He really did this time. Was this his worst fear coming true?!
The blonde giggled at his adorable panic-stricken face, satisfied with herself. “That’s what I thought, dummy. But still, lucky for you, I don’t think I could ever give this up~” Marron kissed his cheek again, leaving her boyfriend reeling as she went to the bathroom to freshen up before dinner.
Goten put his head in his hands and let out an audible sigh of relief. “I don’t think I’ll ever understand girls…”
From across the couch, Pan started giggling. “Uncle Goten did something bad!” She didn’t really get what the big deal about kissy kissy was to begin with, but seeing her uncle all flustered like that had the toddler tickled pink.
The next twenty minutes rolled by quicker than ever, and finally, it was time to eat.
The adults all came out carrying multiple trays and large bowls. The plates and silverware had already been set as the ever-growing Son family all took their seats around the table.
“Wait, Dad’s not here yet.” Chi-Chi said, looking worried. “Do you think he got stuck in the blizzard?”
“He’ll be here. I can sense his energy. Besides, he’s the Great Ox King! No way some storm is gonna stop him.” Goku confirmed, easing his wife’s worries. He winked at her and Chi-Chi smiled.
And like clockwork, a few minutes later the door swung open. The cold wind blew snow onto the floor of the house, when in came a giant, jolly looking man with a grayish beard. He wore a large red coat and carrying lots of presents. “Merry Christmas, everyone!”
Pan gasped, practically standing up in her chair. A large jolly man with a big belly. Red coat. A beard. And carrying presents. That could only mean one thing…
“Santa!!!?”
But she thought she had to be asleep!
Chi-Chi hurried to the door to greet the man.  “Dad! You made it!”
“Hi, pumpkin!” Ox King hugged his daughter.  “Am I late? Sorry I missed the cooking, it’s like a blizzard out there! Can’t see a thing.”
Goku grinned. “You’re just on time. ” He went up to his father-in-law who brought the Saiyan into a big bear hug, followed by doing the same with his two grandchildren.
Pan tilted her head to the side, more than a little confused. “...That’s not Santa?”
“No, honey. It’s your Great Grandpa Ox! You remember him, right?” Videl told her. Pan thought about it for a second, and the name was familiar! Her expression lightened when she remembered. Pan flew over to him and gave him a big hug.
As the adults got Ox King set up, Pan the conversation no mind as she stared at the pile of presents on the floor in awe. She gently tried to shake each box to try to guess what was inside but didn’t have much luck.
“Mama, Papa, can I open them now??” She asked, barely containing her joy.
Gohan and Videl exchanged a look and sighed. “You can open Grandma and Grandpa’s present after dinner. The rest will have to wait ‘till tomorrow morning.”
“Okay!” Pan replied. That was good enough for her!
And so with everyone in attendance, the feast could finally begin.
In typical Saiyan fashion, the Son boys filled their plates far above regular capacity. Little Pan tried to mimic her grandpa and uncle and put as much food on her plate as her little hands could grab.
Krillin did his impression of Yajirobe for the others, especially Pan who never heard it before. 18 spoke her new job as a school teacher, and Videl’s new case as Satan City’s top detective, with her right hand man Great Saiyaman.
Meanwhile, In record time, Goku finished his plate and went back for more. Goten wasn’t far behind him.
“More please!”
“Me too!”
Father and son respectively said.
“I wants more too!” Pan said, and then remembered the thing to say that her parents taught her. “Um, peas!!”
Chi-Chi smiled. “Of course, angel.” And then turned her gaze to her younger son. “Oh, and Goten, you really should behave yourself in front of your future wife. It’s not polite to eat like that!”
Gohan cracked a grin. “Yeah, Goten. Listen to Mom.”
“Not helping!”
Videl lightly slapped Gohan’s arm. “Oh stop. You’re one to talk, aren’t you? I distinctly remember a time when you were the one getting flustered whenever someone brought up our relationship.”
“Well that’s-”
“No excuses. You were a nervous wreck on our first date, remember? You wore your pants inside out!” Videl playfully poked his shoulder. She turned to Goten and winked.
At least somebody was on his side….
Chi-Chi suddenly gasped. “Oh, I forgot the wine! Excuse me for a second.” She got up and went into the kitchen. She returned a moment later with a large bottle. She poured a glass for each of the adults, minus Goku and Gohan. Goku didn’t like the taste, but Gohan wanted to try it.
“Mom, can I have some?” Gohan asked.
“Absolutely not, mister! You know what happened last time. You dressed up as Saiyaman and put a performance on for everyone!  And you have Pan now, you need to be a better influence!” Chi-Chi scolded him, but the smile never left her face.
Gohan hung his head as Goku patted him on the back while Goten snickered.  “I’m sorry. I got carried away last time because everyone was having so much fun.”
“I for one loved it.” Videl gushed. “It reminded me of when we were still teenagers~”
“R-Really?!” Gohan said, blushing.
“Oh fine, here.” Chi-Chi caved and handed her older son a glass. After a story like that, she couldn’t say no.
When Goten went to reach for the bottle afterward, Chi-Chi gave a stern look to her younger son that practically screamed ‘don’t even think about it!’
Goten frowned, dejected. Every time he tried that, and every time he failed. And now it was Gohan’s turn to snicker.
Chi-Chi couldn’t help but laugh. Even though they were grown, her sons still had that little brotherly competition.
“Boys will be boys...” Videl said and Chi-Chi nodded in affirmation. Especially her boys.
Krillin took the bottle next. He put too much in his glass and then downed it.
“Okay, lisssten up! I haaaave to make an announcement!!” Krillin declared and then burped.
Eighteen sighed. “Here we go…”
Everyone stopped to listen to him, with various degrees of amusement written all over their faces. Goku most of all. He  put down his food to give his best friend his full attention. Oh, he had been waiting for this.
“Oh no, not again....” Marron said with a fearful expression, preparing for the worst. She was already embarrassed by him once. But twice? She’d rather bury her head in the snow outside.
“What’s the matter?”
“When my dad drinks, he gets a little too happy and starts blurting out embarrassing things.”
Krillin cleared his throat and began to speak. “I...I looove my wife!!”
“Huh?!” Eighteen was caught off guard by his confession as if it were the first time hearing it.
“She’s sooo pretty… And so n-nice… And so cool!” Krillin hiccuped, putting his empty glass on the table. He hiccuped again, his goofy smile only getting larger. “She acts real tough, but… she’s a.. She’s a biiiiig softie! Like a---”
Eighteen covered her husband’s mouth before he could finish, her face turning the same crimson as her daughters did earlier as everyone laughed. “Krillin, s-stop it you idiot! W-We’re in public!”
“S-Stooop what? The party’s just getting started.”
Eighteen handed him a glass of water to get him to sober up before he blurted out something else. It didn’t take much to get Krillin loosened up, but he sobered up quickly as well.
That big dork, blurting out something so embarrassing like that. She had a reputation to uphold! How was she supposed to freak Trunks and Goten out if they knew her ‘stone cold’ persona was just a big act?! In her own mind though, Eighteen swooned. But she wasn’t about to let anyone know! In public at least.
Dinner wrapped up soon after. Not a single morsel was left over.
“Time for presents!!” Pan said and then plopped down on the carpet in front of the tree,
At the sight of her daughter, Videl’s couldn’t help but feel giddy. She was the same way at Pan’s age, and Pan’s joy was absolutely infectious.
“This is a special present from me and Grandma.” Goku handed his granddaughter a large box. He wrapped his other arm around Chi-Chi and she rested her head on his shoulder as he kissed the top of her head. Nothing was better than being altogether as a family, watching her granddaughter open a present on Christmas Eve
Pan ripped off the wrapping to find a plain white box inside. She curiously stared at it, and even shook it to try to hear what was inside. It didn’t sound like a toy, for one. Hearing nothing, she slowly took off the lid.
Instantly Pan gasped.
It was a small, red colored martial arts gi with matching belt and wristbands, and small blue fighting boots.
Pan’s first gi.
“This is the bestest present ever!” Pan’s entire face lit up like a star. “Can I go try it on?”
Pan flew upstairs with her new gi, returning a few minutes later wearing it, still beaming. “Look at me, Papa! I look like Grandpa!”
Pan couldn’t be happier which made Gohan and Videl happy.
“Oh, Pan, look, there’s something else in here.” Gohan pointed to the red object poking up of extra wrapping paper.
Pan then came face to face with a small red pole inside a sheathe, tied with a fresh rope. “What is this?” She stared at the mysterious item, confused. She liked it; it felt familiar. “Is it a baseball  bat?”
“No, sweetie, this is the Power Pole.”
“Power Pole?”
“It used to be my grandpa’s. He gave it to me when I was little. And I took it all over the world looking for the Dragon Balls. I almost lost it a few times, but it always found it’s way back to me. One way or another. It was only natural to pass it onto you.”
Pan put the Power Pole around her shoulder. With a puff of her cheeks, Pan flexed her muscles. For the first time, Pan felt like a true fighter.
“You look just like me!” Goku knelt down and held out his open hands. “Give it a shot.”
Pan looked to her father, who nodded. Smiling, the toddler punched Goku’s open palm.
“Yup, she's my granddaughter alright.” Goku grinned. “She’s got some serious power behind that punch.”
“Next present!” Pan exclaimed.
“Nope. Sorry, Pan. The rest have to wait till tomorrow, remember?” Gohan said.
“Aww, okay. But I bet those wont top this!” She waved the Power Pole around. It was best they didn't tell her it could grow just yet.
Throughout the night, the sound of laughter could be heard coming from a small house deep in the woods. It could still be heard echoing in the valley, late into the night. Inside, the room was aglow with the love that is shared between family and friends.
Pan’s first Christmas Eve was truly a night to remember for them all. And one she would never forget.

For the Ask Game: Son Goku
Give me a character and I will answer:
Why I like them: Goku is the main character in Dragon Ball Z, an anime that I have enjoyed tremendously for over 20 years.  He kicks aliens really fast and hard, and he eats wolves and bugs and clouds, and he’s very cool and good.
That may sound kind of basic, maybe even borderline sarcastic, but I’m not sure how else to put it.    I’ve gotten so used to liking Goku that it’s hard to articulate why.
Like, okay, you know that one episode during the Cell Games, where he’s gonna pick apples from his favorite apple tree?   And he does the special karate punch that makes the apples all fall out of the branches without really hurting the tree?    In the dub, he says to the tree “Ready for one more round, old timer?”  Or something like that, and then after he hits it, he’s like “See?  That didn’t hurt a bit.”  I’m not getting the lines right, but you get the idea.    That’s some choice Goku right there.    He’s friends with that tree!
Tumblr media
Why I don’t: hE gAvE mOrO a SeNzU bEaN-- ha ha just kidding, but can you imagine not liking Goku?   Because of something he did in some horseshit fancomic that doesn’t even count?
Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot of guff from people about Goku showing mercy to his enemies.   This is humorous to me, because I’d bet you dollars to donuts that they’re fans of Vegeta and/or Piccolo, and that only happened because Goku decided to have mercy on their stank asses.    “Well I like Vegeta because he kills people.”  He only gets to do that because Goku allowed him to live.    Best Green Dad doesn’t happen without Goku, period, end of sentence, new paragraph.
I’m not a lore expert like that guy on Twitter who only watched DBZ Abridged, but here’s some cool trivia for you: Cell could have self-destructed and destroyed the Earth at any time.    It literally does not matter that Goku gave Cell a senzu bean before Gohan fought him, because Cell would have done the same thing no matter who beat him or how.     If Gohan had wiped him out quickly, that nucleus would have survived and regenerated, and he would come back even stronger.   The senzu bean just delayed the inevitable outcome, and not even by that much, because Cell wasn’t that worn out in the first place.   The whole thing with the senzu bean was Goku playing headgames with Cell and no one seems to understand that but me.
But what about Moro, you ask?   Hey, come here.
Closer.    No, closer.
Listen to me.   I love you, okay?    But the Dragon Ball Super manga isn’t canon.   Hating Goku over something he did in Super is like hating Superman for something he did in a Mad Magazine bit.
“Blargle blargle he doesn’t kiss his wife bad father, tournament of power--” I super mega don’t care about any of these ice cold takes.      Every day I go on YouTube and it recommends me the dirt worst Star Wars commentary videos.   “Maybe the SITH were actually the GOOD GUYS and the JEDI were the BAD GUYS!  Huh?  Did I just BLOW your MIND?   Be sure to like and subscribe!”  Every dope with a keyboard seems to think they can flip the script and pretend they’re some kind of genius.    “Thanos was right!”  “Magneto was right!” “Dr. Doom was right!” “Antifa are the real fascists when you stop and think about it!”  “Masks and vaccines are bullshit, COVID-19 is a hoax, but if it were real, maybe it’s the good guy in this situation!”
I didn’t mean to go off on a rant here, but the whole point of Goku is that he’s a pretty cool guy, and the hero of his particular adventure, and you see all these people trying to outsmart that somehow, like it’s not the premise of the character.   It’s like all those fan theories about how every show is really one character having a coma dream in the hospital.    It’s fake-deep, like when Will Smith’s kid goes on the internet and says something like “Water isn’t wet when you stop and think about it.”
I’m not saying everyone has to like Goku, but I don’t get the hate-boner people have for him.    I don’t like cole slaw, it’s soggy and insipid and I don’t understand it, but I don’t go around trying to convince people it’s not made out of cabbage.
Anyway, Goku’s awesome.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): It’s hard to choose, but DBZ #248 always fucks me up.   I looked it up in my liveblog archive to get the episode number right, and the first line of that post: This one always fucks me up.
Moving on.
Favorite season/movie: In Dragon Ball terms, I guess this refers to the sagas, so I’ll go with Cell Games.    Goku goes into the battle with this flawed, touch-and-go plan, and it works.    He defeats perfection with imperfection, and it’s glorious.
Favorite line: “What I represent can never be destroyed,” is one of the most metal lines ever uttered, anywhere.   It’s a threat and a moral lesson all in one.
Favorite outfit: Two answers for this one.
Tumblr media
Shu’s outfit in the Fortuneteller Baba Saga was awesome.    I used to wear yellow T-shirts to work, so when I put on my blue labcoat I would see myself in the restroom mirror and think: yeaaaaahhhhhh.
Tumblr media
I’m also big into Goku’s look during the Cell Games, classic orange outfit, blue shirt, with the Super Saiyan form ready to go.    That may sound obvious, since this is kind of Goku’s default look, but it takes a while to get all of this together.  For me, it was a big deal to see Goku in action as a Super Saiyan in his standard fighting gear, because the whole time he was SSJ on Namek his shirt was ruined.   Against Gero and 19 he was sick, but starting with the Cell Games, we get him fresh as a daisy, and it’s worth the wait.   Harder to stealth cosplay, though.
OTP: Gochi.   Come on.    I don’t even care that much about ships, but they’re adorable on the show, and the internet backlash against Gochi only intensifies my defiance.
Brotp: I wrote a fanfic with Goku and Yamcha just joyriding in the desert, and that seemed pretty awesome, so maybe we need more of that.
I dunno, maybe I’m giving this to Bulma.   They don’t get a ton of screen time together after a certain point in the show, but the bond between them is this really sublime thing.    In the same fanfic, I wrote Bulma and Goku interacting, and that was just a pleasure to write.
Head Canon: I think Goku being an alien orphan matters more to him than he lets on.   Early on, he knew he had parents but he didn’t know why they left him in the woods.   Pretty much every interaction he has with the outside world is about him being different.   Then he finds out he’s a Saiyan and all the Saiyans hate him for being weak and sentimental and so on.   He can kick all their asses, but that doesn’t make him any less of an outcast.
I think becoming a Super Saiyan is a bigger deal to him than he lets on.   That moment kind of serves as this unspoken proof that there’s more to being a “true” Saiyan than Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz ever knew.   That maybe, if his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great granny could see him, she might approve.
Tumblr media
Unpopular opinion:
Tumblr media
Yukio Ebisawa is underrated.
A wish: I always wanted to see Goku style on Broly ‘93.   It seemed unfair to me that they kept bringing Broly back, and even teased a rematch with Goku in Movie 11, only to not deliver on it.    I wanted Goku to turn Super Saiyan 2 and Broly’d be all “oh noes!” and Goku would look at him and be all “Yeah.   What now, bitch?    That green shit won’t cut it anymore.”
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: I think my darkest fear about the Dragon Ball franchise is that it’ll get bastardized like Superman, where some giant multimedia corporation owns it, has no idea how to tell new stories with it, and refuses to let it lapse into the public domain.   I have no idea how public domain works in Japan, but “Disney Toei’s Dragon Ball KH” doesn’t sit well with me.    Hopefully I’ll be dead by the time that happens.
Like, Rise of Skywalker wasn’t that bad.   But it did lead me to worry that they really have no idea how to make Star Wars work.    They got it right enough, but the part where Rose is going to stay and guard the base or whatever, it just made me realize they’re only guessing, and they just happen to guess right often enough to succeed.   And it’s not like you can jump over to some other studio and see how they handle a Star Wars movie.
5 words to best describe them: Ain’t nothin’ to fuck with.
My nickname for them: Geeko.    Ha ha, just kidding.

You’re my everything
Summary: After the defeat of Majin Buu, Goku vowed to return home and settle down with his family, once again. However, after seven long years without her husband, Chi-Chi has serious doubts about where his heart truly lies. Can Goku show his wife that he still loves her, just as deeply as ever and is here to stay, no matter what?
A/N: My submission for GoChi Week 2017, "Prompt 2: Longing" (read the fanfiction.net version here).
Surprise gift for my friend PrincessChiChi99 (slightly based on some of the discussions I've had with her, @saiyanb, @maiikawriter and a few others, in the past). The is my first attempt at a GoChi fic in two years, so please go easy xD. Also feel free to check out my other GoChi fic. :D
You're my everything:
Majin Buu was at last defeated, thanks to the combative calibre of Goku, the tactical prowess of Vegeta and the staunch bravery of Mr. Satan and the redeemed, rotund alter-ego of that pink fiend. More so, all the inhabitants of Earth and the planet Namek owed themselves a huge commendation, for having generously offered up a share of their Ki, in order to help vanquish the sinister being that threatened the entire cosmos. The world could take a deep, reposing breath and revel in the peace that it had finally earned.
A short while after the hard-fought victory, all the heroes who'd gathered together on Kami's lookout, returned home with their respective families, deciding to take the rest of the day to reorganize themselves, before the morrow's celebration. A lot of answers and explanations were due, by two hotheaded women in particular, namely, Chi-Chi and Bulma. Vegeta knew he'd be on the receiving end of a verbal whiplashing, from his shrewish wife, for the callous cruelty he'd exhibited, during the Martial-Arts tournament as well as the extenuating explosion that followed, in his first fight against Buu. Goku, on the other hand, was as clueless and complacent as always. However, hours later in his humble above of Mount Paozu, the rustic Saiyan felt increasingly perturbed. Though Chi-Chi was initially head-over-heels at the prospect of her husband returning home and settling down with her and the family, she barely knew how to act around him, once the early sense of excitement died down.
For seven-anguished years, the Ox Princess had to raise her children all by herself, longing for the presence of her beloved, while he was off larking in Otherworld. Such thoughts and misgivings flooded her mind, as she lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling, in contemplation.
"What's wrong, Chi-Chi?" Goku asked, concern and worry lacing his vividly dark irises, as he gazed upon his wife. Chi-Chi gave him a fleeting glance, before her eyes returned to the ceiling.
"It's just- I don't understand why you left me alone, for all those years." She muttered forlornly. "You're here now and I can't even begin describing how happy I am to have you back, but-"
She paused, a moment.
"But- what?" Goku pressed.
"I don't know, but for some reason, I can't help but think that if I stare at you for too long, you'll just disappear." She let out a dejected sigh. "It's weird, I know, but even then-"
"Hey, I'm not going anywhere." The burly Saiyan vowed, girding his sinewy arms around his wife. "I promise."
Chi-Chi was unable to suppress the distinct shudder of pleasure that escaped, as she found herself trapped within the loving clutches of her happy-go-lucky husband. All those doleful years, she'd yearned for this moment, to be held inside those strapping arms once more and now that it had finally arrived, she hardly knew what to do or how she could possibly handle it, if he decided to up-and-leave her, yet again. With a breath of surrender, she wiggled about in his grasp, till they were face to face.
"You say that now, but do you realize how difficult it's been for me, these last seven years?" She wound her slender arms, around his muscled neck, her lips quivering and eyes glistening, with unshed tears. "Sleeping on a cold, empty bed all by myself, every single night and watching Goten grow up, without his father? What made it even worse was that he looks just like you. Every time I saw him, he reminded me of you and everything you were missing. It broke my heart, knowing that you weren't there to see him come into this world, to hear his first words and to watch him, take his first steps. Heck, until recently, you weren't even aware of his existence. No matter how powerful you are, Goku, you can never bring back those moments. They're lost forever."
The Saiyan could only stare at her apologetically, as a minute of tense silence swam by.
"I- I never really thought about it that way, Chi-Chi." He confessed, eyes downcast in abjection, consumed by sheer remorse. "I- I thought I was protecting you."
"You thought wrong!" The raven-haired woman exclaimed, somewhat bitterly. "Hurting me was bad enough, but what about Gohan?! The poor kid spent a whole year, blaming himself for your stupid decisions! Do you even know just how much he looks up to you, how much he loves you?!"
Goku's heart sank to his stomach. He honestly hadn't expected such a strong reaction, from her.
"Are- are you upset that I decided to come back?" The Saiyan asked, in a defeated voice. At those words, Chi-Chi's expression instantly softened.
"No, of course not." She replied, placing a hand on his cheek and running her thumb along the hardened crook of his jawline. "What upsets me is that you left in the first place." She continued, more sombrely. "You say it won't happen again, but how can I believe that, after all this time?"
Another short pause followed, before Goku decided to say say his piece.
"Chi-Chi, I'll probably never understand how hard it was for you and looking back, I know that I definitely made the wrong decision."
"More like the worst decision." The Ox Princess rolled her eyes. "But, at least you admit it, so I guess that's a start."
"What I did wasn't to avoid you, it was to protect you, even if that meant giving you up." He earnestly stated. "Believe me when I say this, it was really hard for me too. You have no idea how much I missed both you and Gohan."
"How can you say that, when-"
"Please, Chi-Chi, just let me finish." The Saiyan went on. "At the time, I thought that by staying in Otherworld, villains would be less likely to attack the planet and in the off-chance that it did happen, Gohan would be strong enough to take care of it. But, I suppose coming back here and seeing things for myself, helped me realize just how badly I'd miscalculated."
"Oh?" Chi-Chi quirked a brow. "How so?"
"Well, despite his amazing potential, I see now, just how much Gohan hates fighting." He replied. "He just doesn't have the same passion for it that Vegeta and I do, for example. If he'd used these seven years to train, he'd easily be stronger than the both of us combined, but I understand now that he has other priorities and I shouldn't come in the way of that, nor should I expect him to fight the bad guys, while I'm off, having adventures in Otherworld. He doesn't need that burden on his shoulders, not when he has other dreams." The Ox-Princess couldn't help the smile that lit her face, at his acknowledgment. She'd never expected such words to escape his mouth, not ever. It made her heart radiate with joy. "It's my responsibility to protect you all and I know I can't do that, by being absent. I looked on from Otherworld, when Majin Buu killed you and afterwards, did the same thing to Krillin, Bulma and everyone else, all because I wasn't there to stop him." He grimaced at the horrendous memory. "I'm so sorry that it took so long for me to realize my mistakes, but that's why I'm here now, Chi-Chi. I know I don't say it very often, but I really do love you." Goku fastened his hold around her, as her smile grew bigger. "I'll always protect you, no matter what happens. You're everything to me."
"Oh, Goku." She cried, tightening her own hold around him, as she nuzzled her face in the recess of his neck and wept a stream of joyous tears. "I love you too."
"I know Chi-Chi, I know." He smiled broadly, rubbing her back up and down. Seconds later, she pulled back and pressed her lips against his. Eyes widening a moment, Goku chuckled and kissed back, re-familiarizing himself with the alluring process, before steadily slipping his tongue inside the warm caverns of her mouth and roving about, as he reveled in her fine, luscious taste. His hands roamed downwards, running along her soft, smooth contours of her thighs, before firmly grasping her rear end. Just as he was about to slide his fingers beneath her panties, however, Chi-Chi took hold of his wrist.
"Wait Goku, I-"
"What's wrong?" He asked. Usually it was her that initiated the "fun stuff" and she'd never rejected his advances, in the past.
"It's nothing, I just- I don't know, I just don't want to do this so soon." She said. "I'm still getting used to you being here, so let's not exceed second base, just yet. I wanna savor this and build slowly, till it feels right, know what I'm saying?"
"Okay sure, no problem hehe." The Saiyan let out a goofy laugh.
"That's my Goku." She smiled and captured his lips in another kiss. It would certainly take a great deal of effort to make up for all the lost time and memories and while it did sadden her that it took all these years for her husband to finally acknowledge the true depths of his blunders, she was glad he did and she truly hoped that it made him a better person.
A/N: Hope you guys enjoyed! Had a lot of fun, with this one!
I know there're a lot of contentions, with regards to whether or not Goku ever kissed Chi-Chi, but this is based primarily on the DBZ script, not DBS. In DBZ he does kiss Chi-Chi, off-screen, during the Androids saga, which is confirmed in Daizenshuu, so uh- yeah. Plus, I prefer it that way xD (what married couple doesn't kiss?). :D
Lastly, a big thanks to @redasuki and the others, for organizing this event! :D

GoChi Week 2021: A Fulfilled Life Part Seven
GoChi Week 2021
A Fulfilled Life
Day Seven: Afterlife @gochi-week
“…… he grabbed his toy and tossed it at me. Babies need to know who is boss so I smacked his fanny hard.”
“Babies do try to test you. Gohan and Goten did, but,” ChiChi smiled fondly of the memories of her sons as babies, “I handled it.”
The older man chuckled. Spending this time with ChiChi, he definitely knew ChiChi was a strong woman who could handle anything, especially two-hybrid Saiyans. He imagined Goten to be a spitfire and energetic baby testing his limits like his father but he pictured Gohan to be a calmer baby.
“Gohan? You told me he is a sweet child.”
ChiChi giggled. Everyone who knew of Gohan always thought that. They thought of him as a kind well-mannered person and he is but Gohan had another side. Gohan can get cocky. Gohan can get moody. He had a temper like hers when he got really angry but most tend to avoid that and focus on his gentler nature.
“He is but Gohan has an aggressive personality, too. He’s strong like his Dad but I think Gohan has a perfect blend of my and Goku’s personality.”
“Like his Momma.” Son Gohan leaned back in his chair admiring the strong and proud woman sitting across from him. “I can’t wait to meet them.”
“You will,” ChiChi promised. “But not any time soon.”
“No, no,” Son Gohan chuckled. “I want it to be a very long time before I meet my great-grandsons. I’m very happy to be spending time with my granddaughter-in-law instead.”
ChiChi was very happy, too. When she crossed over, it was a new experience even though she died before. She didn’t have memories of that brief period she was dead except flashes of moments. She didn’t remember waiting in line with floating spirits except for a brief second she remembered being at eye level of a floating spirit. She had a body this time and couldn’t recall having one the first time she died. When she met King Yemma the first time, she was alone. This time, Son Gohan was waiting for her.
After her judgment, she went with him and explored the afterlife. She learned her father, even though he changed, wasn’t able to keep his body and were the many floating spirits. It was sad but ChiChi was happy knowing her father was with her mother. With Son Gohan as her guide, ChiChi wasn’t alone and very happy. She traveled the afterlife with him, met different people and shared stories of Goku and his great-grandsons.
“I enjoy spending time with you, too. You’re the only one who knew my Goku before and after his accident. It’s been cathartic talking to you about him. I never had this connection talking about Goku with anyone.”
“There were times Goku drove me up the walls before and after he hit his head. So, I know what you went through with him, and when he was dead, I gave him a piece of my mind on his decision to stay dead.”
ChiChi imagined that wasn’t pleasant for Goku. From stories Goku told her, to spending time with him personally, ChiChi learned Son Gohan was kind but was a stern and tough man with odd quirks. “I thank you for that because Goku was a changed man when he returned. He treated me differently but those seven years made both of us grow up.”
Son Gohan expected it would and he was very grateful to learn Goku had returned to the living and wouldn’t return for a long time. “And you had a much longer and even happier life: you saw your sons marry, have grandkids and even great-grandchildren.”
Now it was ChiChi fondly smiling. She lived a long and eventful life. When Goku died at the Cell Game, she didn’t see this ending for herself. She thought she would’ve died a decade or two earlier. She thought Goku returning gave more years to her life and let her see her family blossom into a long and healthy line. “Yes. Yes, we did.
“Goku’s a bit thickhead but once I explained it, he understood. He promised he will be waiting for you when you crossed over.”
“But instead of Goku, you were waiting.” ChiChi never questioned it then but now she was curious. “Why were you waiting? I mean, how did you know I will be there?”
“After Goku returned to the living, I knew the next time he crossed over, he will be alone. Before he came with Kami on Earth and King Kai. I didn’t want Goku to be alone so the next time I saw Fortune Teller Baba, I told her to let me know when Goku crosses over so I can greet him. When she told me you were crossing over I knew Goku wouldn’t want you to be alone, so I came.” As Son Gohan said this, something caught his eyes behind him. “And it seems I wasn’t alone in that idea.”
ChiChi turned to see Fortune Teller Baba floating on her crystal ball. She saw the sage mystic some time ago and while she couldn’t ask Baba of her family, she made a request. “It’s time?”
“He just crossed over.”
Third time’s the charm I guess.
Goku mused to himself as he waited in line to check-in at King Yemma’s palace. Goku felt more at peace with dying this time than he did with Cell. There were no loose strings. No regrets. No need to stay dead to protect everyone. The future was secured. His family was happy and Earth no longer needed him and has been taking care of herself for many years.
Son Goku was truly done. In the last year of his life, he went on a farewell tour. He visited friends he made throughout his life. Upa, Suno and of course Eighter were still alive. Some, Yamcha and Yajirobe had already passed on but those who were still alive, Goku chatted and recalled the days and adventures of their youth. One of the hardest goodbyes Goku made was to Master Roshi. Both knew Goku’s visit will be his last. It was hard for Master Roshi as he will keep on living and spend the next several years saying goodbye to everyone who made the last seventy years very exciting for him.
When his tour was done, Goku spent his last month with his sons, Gohan and Goten. Father and son went fishing together, camping and hike through Mount Paozu. The sons listened to Goku's adventures when he was a kid. Sometimes Goku repeated the same stories due to his declining mind but Gohan and Goten pretended it was the first time they heard it.
On his last day, Goku knew this was it. It was a feeling he had that felt stronger today than other days. It was time to go. So, he went to ChiChi’s grave to speak one last time to the slab of stone. He told her he will see her soon. He asked Gohan for a big family dinner. It was last minute to get all fourteen members of the Son Family together but Gohan made it happen.
There, Goku had dinner with his sons, their wives and children and their spouses and great-grandchildren. Goku hugged and said goodbye to each one. It was more emotional and bittersweet for Gohan and Goten for they suspected their father’s time on Earth was coming to an end. After dinner, Gohan asked Goku to stay the night but Goku declined, saying he will sleep in his own bed. That night, Goku walked the short path from Gohan’s house to his, but before going inside, he went into Grandpa Gohan’s home. The old shack was a national landmark in his eyes. He expected it to be here long after he, his sons, their children and grandchildren are gone.
Goku recalled sitting on Grandpa Gohan’s lap and listening to his stories. He remembered the times Grandpa was stern with him. If Goku wanted to eat, he had to earn it through Grandpa Gohan’s rigorous training. He sat on the futon he shared with Grandpa, recalling the talks they had before they slept and laughing at himself as a child at the position he slept on Grandpa’s lap. He’ll miss this place but as Goku left the shack, he smiled.
Grandpa, I’ll see you soon.
When he entered his home, Goku readied himself to say goodbye to every room. He stood in his kitchen for an hour, soaking in all the memories his family made in this room: the meals, the laughs, sneaking out food behind ChiChi’s back and even the arguments. All were fond memories now. With one last parting, Goku went upstairs.
Goku entered Gohan’s old room. A swarm of memories surrounded Goku. The memories in this room with Gohan came after he returned from the dead after Majin Boo. The family upgraded their small dome home to one with a bigger dome. He didn’t have the memories of his old home where he encouraged Gohan to put down his books and play with him outside or the nights he slept in here on a rocking chair holding Gohan as a baby. In this room, he remembered times from Gohan’s teen years: talking with him before prom, sitting on his bed watching Gohan practice his Valedictorian speech from high school graduation and the serious father and son talk they had the night Gohan proposed to Videl.
Goku went to Goten’s room next. He tucked Goten in this room the first night in their new capsule home. He told Goten many bedtime stories of his life as they played catch up after his seven years apart. It was in this room, Goku gave Goten his haircut when Goten decided to change his style. Here, Goku and Gohan had the hilarious and uncomfortable talk of Goten’s discovery of girls, Goten’s first date and the day of his wedding.
When Goku left Goten’s room, he walked down the hallway towards the room he shared with ChiChi. He passed a wall of family pictures: wedding photos of Goku and ChiChi, Gohan and Goten with their wives; baby photos of Gohan and Goten, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; family group photos in and outside the house, at Gohan and Goten’s home and at Gyu-Mao’s castle.
There was an air of relief when Goku entered his bedroom. Even though their homes changed over the years, the memories were still with Goku. He remembered watching ChiChi shyly step out of their bathroom, dressed in lingerie and hoping she is desirable to him. He thought of the first time they made love; the many times after as they learned and love the emotions intimacy brought out of them; the late-night talks they had of their past. There were happy times, sad and worrying times. Goku remembered the night he returned from Yardrat; how ChiChi was angry was with him for the news of the Androids and hurting her. He remembered the night before the Cell Game where their second son was created. Goku remembered holding a tearful ChiChi and promising her Cell will be defeated. He remembered the tearful reunion the night he returned seven years later; the joy of talking of their first grandchild, their second; their third….
When it came time to say goodbye to ChiChi, it wasn’t a time of sadness. In Goku’s eyes, ChiChi was leaving to set up their permanent home. His last words to her before she died were: “I’ll see you soon.”
As Goku laid in bed counting down to close his eyes forever, one more time, he looked around the room that surrounded him with so much love and happiness. He looked at the pictures on his walls of him and ChiChi, Gohan and Goten. In his hands, were a photo of Goku and ChiChi on their wedding day.
He lived a happy, adventurous and long life but Son Goku was ready for this chapter to end.
As he closed his eyes, he thought of the one he will see and smiled.
ChiChi, I’m coming home.
Goku stepped up next in line. “Hi again, King Yemma!”
“Goku,” King Yemma perused his book. He read Goku’s long list of good deeds again. “You’re back again. For good this time?”
Goku confirmed with a nod. “Yup.”
“You know the drill and I am a God of my word…..”
Goku smiled aware of what he and King Yemma agreed on. From the corner of his eye, he saw her.
ChiChi stood in front of a side entrance. “ChiChi!”
Goku ran to ChiChi, picked her in his arms and swung her around before settling ChiChi on her feet and placing a passion-filled kiss on ChiChi’s lips in front of King Yemma, his assistance and the line of floating spirits behind them.
When they parted, Goku looked ChiChi up and down. Head to toe, she had her body and looked as youthful and beautiful as she was in the early days of their marriage. “You’re here and you have your body.”
“So, do you,” ChiChi admired Goku’s youthful face again. No white hair. No wrinkles. No age spots. He looked as young as he did in his prime. She kissed him. “Thank you.”
“For King---”
“No,” ChiChi shook her head. “For letting me go first.”
“Ah,” Goku grinned, “it was nothing, ChiChi. It was my time to wait.”
“Well, we don’t have to wait for each other anymore.” Happy tears rolled down her cheek. “We’re together… forever.”
“Forever,” Goku promised. “Forever.”

Windblown
Paring: GoChi
Words: 2,051
Summary: Just me fulfilling a really old prompt request on Tumblr that I kinda forgot about. Whoops. Set about a year after Goku’s return post Buu’s defeat.
Prompt: The power goes out following (during) a windstorm. Also, it’s spring in the fic, not fall like the prompt list says.
Prompt list: The user deleted their whole account. Sad. I tried to link to the prompt list.

Cool spring air floated in through our open living room window, bringing with it the nice sweet scents of blooming flowers. Fluffy little clouds dotted the blue sky visible out the window. Gohan and Videl enjoyed a little spar under the evening sunshine a ways away from our home. They deserved a break from studying for their upcoming finals.
The breeze carried in their distant laughter and grunts. Curled up on our living room sofa, I hummed enjoying the soft breeze while I browsed a home décor catalogue.
A weight settled in the empty cushion on the other end of our sofa. I smiled at my sweet husband who was on his knees on the sofa, hands braced on the windowsill, as he looked toward where our son and future daughter in law fought.
"Videl's gettin' really pissed," he said through a chuckle.
I set down my catalogue on the side table next to me and watched Gohan and Videl through the window. Gohan's eyes lit up with a familiar, playful smirk—the same smirk his father wore when he stayed just out of my reach. Gohan dodged Videl's kick with a big jump backwards. Videl flew toward Gohan, her growl floating in through the open kitchen window. That little smirk during a little spar was just as infuriating to her as it was to me.
Goku flashed that same playful little smirk in my direction before returning his attention to Gohan and Videl. I shook my head but couldn't help a smile.
I stood from our comfortable sofa and nodded toward the window. "Shall we, sweetheart?"
Goku's eyes lit up and he jumped to his feet. I giggled as he grabbed my hand and pulled me outside with him into the cool spring breeze.
+++
I wiped the sweat from my forehead and glared at Goku. Oh, he was really going to get it if I could just catch him. I rushed Goku with a snarl, my fist ready to smash into his cheek.
My fist passed through empty air.
A whisper of warm breath off to one side brushed the exposed skin of my arm. I swung my elbow toward the warm sensation with as much weight as I could put into it. My elbow did collide with flesh in a satisfying smack—though not my intended target. Goku caught my elbow with an open hand, which he dropped to hang limply at this side. I shook off the jarring impact and got ready to attack him again.
Goku dodged and wove through every kick and punch I threw at him. Sometimes he returned a light hit, exploiting the rare opening I left. That playful little smirk never left his face. The light, cooling breeze picked up as we fought and felt wonderful against my skin.
"You're really strong, mommy!" yelled a small voice from somewhere near the house.
I sprang backwards out of Goku's reach and could easily make out Goten's awed smile inside our brightly lit house.
I giggled. "Thank you, sweetie."
"Yeah, you are," said Goku with a wink.
My heart fluttered in my chest as a little extra heat spread across my cheeks.
The bright sunlight faded.
An imposing mass of dark grey clouds blotted out the golden sunlight of late evening.
"Huh. Looks like we're gettin' a storm," said Goku, his gaze toward the sky. Goku looked at me, his eyebrows raised.
I answered Goku's silent question with a smirk. I wasn't about to let a little weather stop me.
Goku grinned.
I lunged for him as the wind picked up and feigned a punch to one side while setting up my real attack. Goku caught onto my ploy and answered with simply springing backward just out of my reach. I growled under my breath.
Goku chuckled and winked. "Nice try, babe."
I sprang after Goku and again let loose a quick series of knife handed strikes but all of them, as usual, missed.
The increasing wind made things difficult to keep going but I pushed through it, anyway. Goku seemed unfazed by the wind pulling on his gi and simply bobbed and wove around my attempted strikes, still wearing that irritating smirk.
"Mom! Dad!" yelled Gohan.
I stopped my attacks against Goku as Gohan and Videl landed by the two of us, eyes wide.
"Uh-oh," said Goku, staring at something behind Gohan and Videl, across the yard.
I followed his gaze. A wall of very low, dark grey cloud rushed toward us, flattening the grass it passed over. The wind carried the fresh scent of rain. A deep rumble echoed through the mountains and a bright flash of light lit up the darkened sky.
Goku pulled me against him. "We have to get inside!"
Goku reached toward Gohan and Videl. "Goten's inside! Grab on!"
A few droplets of chilly rain hit my face and the skin of my arms exposed by my rolled up sleeves before our living room materialized around us. The wind howled through our house.
"Quick! Close the windows!" I yelled as I dove for the open window above our sofa. The window wouldn't budge. It was hard to close against the wind. Large, strong hands stopped my struggle and easily pulled the window closed. I grimaced at the high-pitched sound of shattering ceramic. "The kitchen!"
Goku jogged into the kitchen but not before another dish—likely from the drying rack above our sink—met its end with another loud crash.
The wind blowing through our house ceased. I sighed grabbed the broom out of the utility closet.
"I need to cover the firewood," said Goku as I swept up the razor sharp shards of white ceramic.
He didn't give me the time to tell him to be careful before he phased out and vanished from the kitchen.
Instead, I called out, "Boys! Go check your bedrooms!"
"We are!" called Gohan from down the hall.
I picked up a few kitchen utensils the wind knocked to the floor and put them in their places.
"I hope nothing broke in the boys' rooms," I murmured as I put away the broom.
I decided to check on them.
A few loose-leaf papers littered the hallway floor. I gathered the papers, recognizing Gohan's handwriting, and knocked on Gohan's half-open door before I pushed it open.
"These were in the hallway," I said holding out the papers I found.
Gohan's attention slid up to me from his cross-legged seat on the floor and settled on the papers in my hands. "Oh, thanks," said Gohan absently as he added the loose pages to the stack in his hands.
Videl—seated on the other side of the mess—handed Gohan other papers. "At least you keep everything well labeled."
Gohan's chuckle was only half-hearted as he thumbed through the stack in his hands. "Heh, yeah. All of this is—"
The lights flickered and then went out, engulfing us in darkness.
Gohan groaned.
"I'll find a flashlight," I said. "Goten?" I called toward my youngest son's room. "How's your room?"
"It's fine," came Goten's unconvincing response.
I sighed. "I'll go find a flashlight."
I turned and reached out into the pitch-black darkness. My fingers made contact with the textured paint of Gohan's bedroom wall. I patted my way along the wall and found Gohan's doorway. I didn't get much farther before a warm, dry hand grasped mine.
Goku led me down the hallway with more confidence in the darkness than I showed. Goku always did have excellent night vision but I was surprised even he could see in that perfect, inky darkness without so much as a moon.
"How can you see in this?" I asked.
Goku's giggle reverberated across a wider space than the hallway. "I can't see much more than fuzzy shapes right now. But I can see energy."
"Your fuzzy shapes are better than me. I can't see at all," I said.
Goku giggled again and gave my hand in his a light squeeze. "I gotcha."
Goku stopped walking. I walked into the solid muscle of his back with a soft grunt.
"Heh. Sorry," said Goku. He drew my hand down and off to the side where my fingers grazed the soft, fuzzy fabric of a throw blanket. "Here's the couch. I'll make a fire so we have some heat and light."
I made myself comfortable as Goku shuffled around the fireplace, clangs and scraping noises echoing around our living room, adding to the noise of the wind rattling our windows. A rustle of fabric sounded next to me. I reached toward the noise and felt a small arm.
"Hmm. I wonder who this is," I said, knowing full well.
I moved past his arm and tickled his side.
Goten laughed.
A bright, tiny pinpoint of white light floated on Goku's outstretched fingertip, highlighting Goku's silhouette. The light turned into a soft orange glow that quickly grew brighter. When Goku moved aside, I watched small flames consume the kindling and spread to the logs.
"That should be enough light to see by," said Goku, coming to sit at my other side.
Gohan and Videl emerged into the dim light from the hallway.
"Did you manage to organize your homework?" I asked, dreading his answer from the way his eyebrows pinched together.
Gohan shook his head.
I jumped out of my seat. "I'll find that flashlight and light some candles."
"Thanks, mom."
It took some time to help Gohan get his homework and lecture notes organized again and help Goten clean his room but we did. When we finished, we all sat in the living room, enjoying the heat from the cozy fire burning in our fireplace.
"So, now what?" asked Goku.
"Hmm. Well, we could roast some mochi in the fireplace."
"Yeah!" said Goten as he jumped out of his seat next to me on our sofa.
"Mmm!" hummed Goku.
"How about it, you two?" I asked turning toward Gohan and Videl.
Gohan and Videl answered with eager nods.
I giggled. "Okay."
Goku got up and followed me into the kitchen. I set five plates, five roasting sticks, the box of mochi, and a small bowl of sweetened soy sauce to dip the roasted mochi in all on the counter. Goku helped me carry everything into the living room with a sweet smile.
Gohan, Videl, and Goten all moved to the floor just in front of the fireplace and the burning fire. I readied our snack, spearing a piece of mochi on everyone's roasting sticks and passed them around. We settled into easy, pleasant chatter as we roasted our treat over the fire to a perfect golden brown.
The pleasant chatter died down after we finished our snack. It didn't take long to figure out why. Goten fell asleep curled up against Goku's side under a throw blanket. I reached over Goku's lap and ran my fingers through Goten's thick hair. Gohan and Videl fell asleep facing each other, their hands intertwined.
"Oh, Mr. Satan is going to be so worried about her," I murmured over the crackling fire.
Warm lips pressed against my temple. "Don't worry, babe," breathed Goku into my ear. He yawned and then said, "She's got a phone. She probably already told him." He nodded at Gohan and Videl asleep on the floor. "'Sides, just look at 'em. I don't have it in me to wake 'em up."
I smiled at how sweet Gohan and Videl looked together. "I don't, either."
Goku carefully shifted Goten off of him and grabbed a couple of logs off the small stack of firewood. He pushed them into the fire with a roasting stick. "Let's keep this going a little longer."
I nodded.
Goku wiped the little bit of soot off his hands with a rag, scooted next to me, and wrapped his strong, gentle arms around me. He pulled me down with him to the soft blanket covering our hardwood floor. I giggled softly and settled next to him, resting my head on his chest. Warm breath tickled my forehead. I hummed and snuggled closer.
The chilly spring storm raged on outside but it was so nice and warm inside our little home on Mt. Paozu, I forgot all about it.
My family was home safe and whole.
This was perfect.

GoChi Week 2020: Day One: High School
Snippets in Time:
 Future
With the multiple rings of the doorbell, ChiChi rushed down the stairs to open the door. Only one person rang the doorbell that way. Her boyfriend, Son Goku. They’ve been friends since freshman year but dated since their sophomore year when Goku kissed her during School Spirit Week. Goku was a great athlete; lead scorer on the basketball team and quarterback of the football team but he was a poor student. It wasn’t that he didn’t understand the schoolwork. He could but he was lazy and only did enough to pass the class.
ChiChi knew if Goku wanted to get into college on an athletic scholarship, his grades had to improve so since sophomore year, ChiChi helped Goku with his homework and tests for classes. Goku went from a 2.0 grade point average to a 2.5 at the end of his sophomore year. At the end of his junior year Goku was a 3.0 student and receiving letters from several colleges. Now in his senior year, Goku receive visits from coaches pursuing Goku on a basketball and football scholarships. He had yet to make a decision and it made ChiChi nervous. If Goku picked a school far from her, what would happen to them?
Goku stood on the other side other door, wearing the school’s varsity jacket with his bookbag slung over his left shoulder.
“Goku,” ChiChi greeted Goku with a hello kiss. “You’re early.” She sniffed him. “Eww. You stink. Didn’t you take a shower?”
“I was talking to Coach, time flew, and I was in a rush to leave,” Goku explained as he stepped in the house.
ChiChi closed the door. That excuse didn’t make sense. “That doesn’t explain why you couldn’t take a shower before you left.”
Goku grinned as he winked at her. “I was in a rush to see you. Ain’t that enough?”
ChiChi couldn’t argue against that. “In that case, that’s all right.” She gave him another kiss on his lips. “You can take a shower in the bathroom upstairs. I can make lunch for us before we study.”
“Sounds good.” He looked around curious. “Where’s your Pops?”
“Still at work but he’ll be here in a couple hours.”
ChiChi left Goku’s side to go to the kitchen but Goku grabbed her and pulled ChiChi to him. “So, we have the house to ourselves for a while.” He grinned at her. “Wanna take a shower with me?”
ChiChi giggled as Goku dropped kisses on her neck while his hands moved up to grope her breasts. “No,” ChiChi squirmed. “We can’t do that.” ChiChi pressed her hands on Goku’s chest and gently pushed him off her.
“Why not?” Goku whined. “We love each other.”
True but that wasn’t enough, was it? They talked about this. Goku was very eager for them to have sex but he respected ChiChi’s decision to wait. She wanted it, too, but her upbringing forced her to not rush things. They didn’t have to wait for marriage but ChiChi wanted a real commitment. Goku hadn’t decided where he will go to college. ChiChi wanted Goku to be the only one for her. She didn’t want to have sex with Goku, then have him leave her to go to college hundreds of miles away. ChiChi wasn’t a fool. She knew it would be hard continuing a relationship hundreds of miles away. If only she knew where Goku stood when he thought of their relationship and their future.
“It wouldn’t be right, Goku. We’re going away to college next fall and who knows what will happen to us.”
Surprisingly, Goku became upset with ChiChi as he stepped back from her. “College, college, college,” he muttered with rolling eyes. “Is that all you care about?! What about how I feel for you?! What I’m giving up for you!”
“What?” ChiChi sputtered confused. Goku rarely got angry and never at her. Where was this outburst coming from? “What’s the matter with you?”
“Forget it,” he muttered before he stormed off and ran up the stairs to the bathroom to shower.
ChiChi stared at Goku’s retreating form for several moments before making a split-second decision and following him. Goku wasn’t a stranger to her house. Her father and Goku’s Grandpa Gohan became friends through her and Goku dating. Her father was a very sociable guy and hosted many parties. Her father always invited Gohan and Goku. Sometimes Gohan drunk too much and stayed the night in the guestroom.
 It’s where ChiChi followed Goku.
ChiChi pushed opened the bedroom. “No. You’re not leaving me like this without explaining yourself.”
Goku dropped his bookbag on the floor, shrugged off his shirt and tossed it on the floor. “Get out of here!” he spat at her as he pushed down his pants. “You don’t wanna be with me when I’m taking a shower so get out!”
“I’m not leaving with you mad at me!” If Goku was angry with her, he better explain why or ChiChi was gonna be mad back. “You better explain yelling at me!”
Goku flipped his middle finger at ChiChi and stormed in the bathroom.
Red with anger, ChiChi followed him. By the time ChiChi entered the bathroom, she saw a sliver of Goku’s backside as he stepped in the shower. “Goku!” ChiChi screamed. “You better explain why you’re mad at me or I’m gonna get really mad at you!!”
Goku responded with silence. ChiChi knocked on the glass door. Goku responded again with silence. Flustered with anger, ChiChi pushed aside the shower door and stepped in the shower. This time Goku was startled. He didn’t expect ChiChi to do this.
ChiChi poke Goku’s chest. “I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing but you have no right to flip your finger at me or yell at me and not explain why!” She poked him again forcing Goku back with each poke. “So, you tell me why you’re angry or I’ll really get mad at you!”
Goku stood directly under the shower. Water poured down his head making his spiky hair droop. He should be angry at ChiChi. He wanted to be angry at ChiChi but seeing she came in the shower after him, wetting her clothes, her hair, so blinded by her own anger she didn’t realize what she had done made him love her even more.
 “You’re so beautiful right now.”
Confusing slowly replaced ChiChi’s anger. “What?”
Goku cupped ChiChi’s face in his hand and kissed her. Warm water splashed down over them but neither noticed. Goku curved ChiChi’s petite body against his hard one; his hand slid down to grip her backside and press her further against him as he rubbed his naked body against her clothed but wet one for some temporary relief.
Their mouths parted at the desperate need for air, but they remained close together.
“Sorry,” Goku apologized. “I’m just upset.”
 “About?” ChiChi softly questioned.
“I’m not mad at you.” He wanted her to know. “It’s my coach.”
“Coach Piccolo?” ChiChi inquired about the school’s basketball coach.
“Yeah. I told him where I wanted to go, and he thinks I’m nuts and throwing my future away at a professional sports career.”
ChiChi’s heart skipped a beat. “How?” She turned her head up to see Goku looking down on her. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going to Paouz University with you on a basketball scholarship.”
“Paouz University?” She smiled hopeful. She didn’t know if the water falling down her face was from the shower or her tears. “You wanna go to school with me?”
Goku nodded. “Yeah. The basketball team isn’t in the top twenty, but coaches still recruit kids professionally from all schools. As long as I play great and I will, I will get recruited.” He grinned at ChiChi. “The really good news is I only need to play for a year or two before I can quit and be eligible for the NBA.” He laughed. “We can get married.”
Married. Goku mentioned marriage once but only after ChiChi brought it up and from how he spoke ChiChi always thought it was several years from now and not something he was interested in. Now she saw she was wrong.
“Until we officially marry, we can practice being married,” ChiChi told him hopeful. Unsurprisingly, Goku was confused. “I wasn’t gonna say it but now I will. Dad’s getting me an apartment. It’s part of his graduation gift for me. As long as I maintain my grades, he’ll pay for it. We can live together while we go to college.”
Goku had no problem with that but Goku wondered if ChiChi understood what this meant. Sometimes ChiChi was too innocent for her own good. “Your Pops will be okay with us living together?”
ChiChi laughed. “Dad adores you, Goku, but not as much as me. We’ve looked at few places a couple weekends ago and I found the perfect place. Dad already worked a deal with my future landlord. It’s five miles from college, has two roomy bedrooms, two baths, a nice kitchen with a pantry I can stock with lots of food and a gym in the building. It’ll be perfect for us.”
Two bedrooms? Did she really think….? Maybe they will start off sleeping in two rooms but Goku knew it will be a matter of time before it’s one. “I know you adore me more than your Pops,” Goku teased. “Your Pops would never follow me in the shower naked.”
Now ChiChi was no longer angry, reality set in at what she did. She gasped horrified. She was in the shower with Goku who was completely naked! Automatically, her eyes looked down. “Oh my gosh!” Blushing, ChiChi pushed the shower door open. “I can’t believe I did this!”
Grinning, Goku shook his head at a soaked ChiChi sprinting away from him. So fiery, so innocent and so his. Whatever the future held for them, Goku knew ChiChi will be in it.

GoChi Week 2020: Day Four: Sneaking Off
Snippets in Time:
 Day Four: Sneaking Off
The party really began to pick up once Goku arrived. He was the guest of honor. Bulma had thoughts of organizing this event after Goku returned to life after defeating Majin Boo but waited until a few months after the events to host it. Goku deserved some alone time with his family before meeting with everyone again. Come to think it, everyone could use the time to be with their family after Majin Boo. It was emotionally draining on everyone.
Unfortunately, Goku was late. Hours late. But he had a good excuse. For him anyway. A dinosaur family were waiting for their egg to hatch. The way Goku described his day sounded like something out of a movie. Everyone seem to understand because it did seem like a Goku thing to happen to Goku but all were expecting ChiChi to snap at Goku for being late.
Instead of yelling, ChiChi asked Goku if he was hungry and brought him plates of food. Since that, the mood of the party relaxed again and Goku’s long delay was forgotten. After Goku got food in his stomach, he spent time with his friends talking and playing the various games set up around the compound. ChiChi was nearby but she wasn’t talking to him or anyone unless addressed. She was aloof and appeared more as a spectator than active guest.
It was troubling. The ChiChi Goku knew would scream at him for his absence regardless of who was watching them. ChiChi didn’t hold back her feelings. Goku assumed ChiChi will yell at him at some point but as evening changed to night, he suspected she wouldn’t. It was strange for him to not be yelled at when he deserved to be. Before his second death, ChiChi didn’t care where she was. Public or home, if she wanted to yell at Goku, she would. Now ChiChi was different. Sometimes she yells but it was more of a gentle scolding. Like everything since he came back to life, it was an adjustment he was struggling to get used to.
While Yamcha and Oolong were singing karaoke, Goku noticed ChiChi leaving his side. He assumed she was going to the buffet table for a snack but she bypassed that and left the room. Goku scanned the room. Gohan and Videl were talking. Trunks and Goten were upfront laughing at Yamcha and Oolong’s performances. Goku thought now was a good time to talk to her.
ChiChi was only a few steps ahead of him. The sound of his dress shoes on the polished floors alerted her she was being followed but ChiChi kept silently walking. Whatever ChiChi’s reasons, it allowed Goku to quietly observe his wife. She changed in seven years, emotionally, mentally and physically.
Emotionally, she was more relaxed and not so quick to anger. Mentally, she was more independent. Physically, she was sexier than ever. ChiChi still had an amazing body. Seven years and she kept herself in top form. His eyes trailed to ChiChi’s hips. He couldn’t take his eyes off them in those white pants. It really accentuated her figure and begged to be fondled and groped.
 “Goku?”
Eyes on her hips, Goku hadn’t notice ChiChi stopped walking. He caught himself a just a step away from bumping into her.
“So, you knew I was following you.”
She turned to him; her face emotionless. “I’m surprise you noticed I left.”
Ouch. “Well, uh, you were sitting next to me.”
ChiChi shrugged. “When has that meant anything?”
Double ouch. On the positive side, it did mean ChiChi was angry and she may yell at him eventually.
“Are you just gonna keep following me without saying anything?” Goku opened his mouth but words didn’t come out. ChiChi folded her arms and leaned on the wall. She was getting angry. Goku expected ChiChi to start yelling but after several moments of silence, she said, “I needed to get away from the party. I need to think. I need to be away from prying eyes.”
Her message was loud and clear. Goku shoved his hands in his pockets thinking and thinking and thinking. Finally, he said, “Come on.”
ChiChi placed her hands behind her back and followed him. “Do you remember your way around here?” She asked. “I’ve only been here a handful of times and I still get lost.”
“Not really,” he was honest. “You’ve probably been here more than me now.” He took a hand out of his pocket and held it out to ChiChi, “But we can find something together.”
ChiChi eyed the strong hand held out to her before moving up to the hopeful smile of her husband. ChiChi took his hand. The two quietly walked the hall together.
They found a room two levels above everyone. Goku pushed the door open carefully looking around the lit room. “I’ve seen something like this in your Pops home, ChiChi.”
“It’s a game room,” ChiChi remarked. The room had arcade games against one wall, a pool table near the center and a four lane bowling alley on the other end of the room. ChiChi stopped by the pool table. “Dad has a room like this.”
“Are you really mad, ChiChi?” Alone, Goku decided now they should address their private matter.
ChiChi’s fingers glided over the green felt of the pool table. “I was. We were to come here together as a family, Goku, and you left without telling me anything. I had to ask Gohan where you were. When I walked in with Gohan and Goten, it made me feel like I was a single mother again.”
“Sorry,” he apologized, “but I wanted to check on that dinosaur family and things got out of hand.”
“You didn’t have to leave me waiting for hours wondering where you were. You have that teleportation trick. You could’ve return, explain the situation and gone back but you didn’t! You pick and choose when you want to use that brain of yours, Goku, and hide your selfishness, your absentmindedness behind a goofy laugh!” Her mind drift back to earlier at everyone’s chill reaction to Goku’s tardiness. Their blindness where she saw the truth was infuriating. “And everyone accepts it because that’s just Goku. But I’m your wife! I know better!!”
That was true. ChiChi knew him better than everyone. It would’ve taken a second to teleport to ChiChi, explain what’s going on and teleport back but he only thought of himself and what he wanted to do. As always, his friends accepted his actions with a laugh; always thinking Goku doesn’t know better but ChiChi did because she knew him better than anyone.
ChiChi squeezed the bridge of her nose, sighing. “I told myself I wouldn’t do this. I wouldn’t get so mad anymore over the little things, but you return and….” the disappointing look ChiChi sent him left Goku feeling like the worst person in the world.
“It’s an adjustment,” ChiChi said glumly. “I’ve changed and you haven’t. You expect me to act as I did seven years ago and I’m hoping you’ve changed.” Turning away from Goku, ChiChi hugged herself. “We’re not doing a very good job adjusting to your return, are we?”
It was true. All of it. His return was a huge adjustment for everyone. Gohan and Goten were handling it well but he and ChiChi were privately having the hardest time. Neither voiced it until now. It was like that phase: ‘the elephant in the room’. Everyone knew it was there but pretended it wasn’t.
Goku joined ChiChi’s side. He turned her to face him. He brushed away the tears in her eyes. “I’m sorry. I’ll try better adjusting.”
“I know. So will I.” ChiChi raised herself on her toes to kiss Goku’s cheek. “We’ll get better at this.” Goku’s smile assured her they will. She exhaled and wiped away her tears. “Let’s get back to the others before they notice we’re gone.”
ChiChi turned to leave but Goku pulled ChiChi back to him. He whispered in her ear. “Let’s stay here for a bit.” Nibbling her earlobe, his hands squeezed her breasts. “I like this outfit,” he whispered in her ear. His hips rubbed against her. “I like how you look in these pants.”
“Goku,” ChiChi squirmed in his arms. “Wait. What are you doing?”
One hand opened the button of her pants. He slipped his hand down her panties. “I made you upset, ChiChi. Let me make you feel better.” His fingers stroke her. “You’re starting to get wet. Feels good, doesn’t it?”
“Goku….” His other hand groped a breast through her shirt. “Stop this. We can do this when we get home.” His hand moved to unbutton her shirt. “Didn’t you hear what I said?” He opened the front clasp of her bra. Obviously, he didn’t. “Goku, this isn’t our house. For crying out loud, someone can walk in!”
Goku pulled off her shirt. “I can sense when someone is coming.” Feeling over dressed, Goku removed his suit jacket, vest, and tie. He unbuttoned his shirt and was going to remove it when ChiChi pressed her hand on the center of his bare chest.
“No,” ChiChi whispered. “Leave it.” Gripping a handful of his shirt, she pulled Goku down to her for a searing, hot kiss. A loud moan vibrated in her throat as Goku’s hungry Saiyan mouth probed her deeply.
With her butt pressed against the pool table and Goku’s clothed lower half pressed against her moistening front, ChiChi was wonderfully pinned. Whatever sliver of reason ChiChi had left vaporized as Goku lift and laid her on the pool table. Her hips were lift slightly once again as Goku pulled off her pants and shoes. Goku removed his clothes, leaving himself only in his open dressed shirt. He was going to crawl over her when ChiChi pressed her foot on his chest. “I don’t think this pool is strong enough to hold both of us.”
Goku paused and examined the legs of the pool table. ChiChi was right. It wouldn’t hold up with their loving. “I’ll pretend it’s like our kitchen table at home.”
ChiChi opened her arms welcoming Goku again in her embrace. Tender and hot kisses gave way to Goku licking and biting her neck. “Ah,” ChiChi’s back arch at the puncture of Goku’s teeth. “Careful.” She did not want Goku’s biting to leave a mark where she will have to explain herself. Understanding, Goku moved lower. “Goku,” a strangled groan escaped her lips as Goku’s mouth was filled with a breast and his long Saiyan tongue worked her sensitive nipple. The groan became a shriek when he tended the other breast in the same manner.
His hair tickled her breasts and stomach as he moved lower. She knew where he was going and as much as she wanted it, that can wait until later. “No.” She grasped his head freezing his mouth over her sodden sex. “I’m ready. Do it now.”
Goku raised himself slightly, gripped ChiChi’s hips, lined her against his own thick and leaking penis and with one powerful thrust entered ChiChi wonderfully deep. ChiChi’s response was immediate with a loud cry that echoed over the room. Her fingernails dug into the back of his shirt, tearing the material to pierce the skin of Goku’s muscled back.
“Chi,” he groaned immensely pleased at the sharp sensation of ChiChi’s nails clawing down his back. He rewarded her with one powerful thrust after the other over, and over and over again. Her shrieks drowned out the groan and creaking of the pool table, the sound of the pool balls bouncing out of the pool ball rack and spilling over the table with some rolling into the side and corner pockets.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” ChiChi panted over and over. “Harder,” she begged. “I’m almos…..” Her eyes shut, back arch and rough cries of overwhelming relief exploded from her. Pressure built in Goku as he reached his peak. ChiChi squeezing his swelling sex through her release was all it took to bring him over the edge.
Spent, Goku collapsed on ChiChi with an oof. He pulled out but ChiChi could feel leaks of Goku spilling on her legs. His hot breath fanned her neck as her contented fingers traced up and down his sweaty back. She wore a goofy and satisfying smile on her pretty face, enjoying the sweet aftermath of their coupling…
Before the legs of the pool table gave in to the weight and rough sex of Goku and ChiChi’s coupling. There was a crack, a sudden drop in gravity and a shriek from ChiChi before she felt her body suddenly flip and bounce as Goku turned himself over and hit the floor with his back with ChiChi protectively drape over him.
It happened so fast for ChiChi she didn’t react until she heard Goku laughing under her. His laugh infected her and she was lost in giggles, too. “Only us,” ChiChi told him. “Only us.”
Goku opened his mouth to agree but suddenly froze. ChiChi watched the smiles die from Goku’s face grow into sudden horror. “Damn,” he cursed.
 “What is it?”
“Someone’s coming.”
Bulma picked up her pace as she reached the game room. After Yamcha and Oolong finish their karaoke set, she noticed Goku and ChiChi weren’t in the room. She questioned Gyumao, Gohan, Videl and Goten who didn’t notice Goku and ChiChi leaving. Gohan wasn’t concerned since he didn’t feel any bad auras nearby. He even suggested his parents were probably talking about his father’s absence earlier. Even he knew his Dad wasn’t in the clear about it.
Bulma asked Vegeta to come with her to find them but he refused. ‘Kakarrot and his wife’s marital problems are not my concern and it shouldn’t be yours either’ was Vegeta’s response to her. This left Bulma to asks the robots floating around her home if they’ve seen Goku and ChiChi. One found the couple entering the game room where Bulma was stepping into now.
 “What the hell?!”
Goku was crouched on the floor looking at the broken legs of the pool table. ChiChi stood beside him with crossed arms and a flushed color on her face. Both were fully dressed with no hair or cloth of clothing out of place.
 “What happened to the table?”
Goku laughed as he rose to his feet. He rubbed the back of his neck appearing slightly embarrassed. “Oh, well, ChiChi and I were talking about me being late and…..” he laughed again. “You know how she gets.”
Looking from the broken pool table to ChiChi who was flustered in what Bulma assumed an angry way, she put together what happened. “Fine,” she sighed. “Don’t break anything else okay? If you have to do that, go home.”
“Well,” Goku looked back at ChiChi grinning, “going home sounds like a good idea right about now.”
Ten minutes later, the Son Family were saying their goodbyes and leaving but the party was going to continue without them. Bulma dropped back in her seat besides Vegeta with an aggravated groan.
Vegeta kept his eyes on the silly entertainment of a drunk Mr. Satan and Master Roshi singing karaoke.
“What’s the matter with you?”
 “Goku and ChiChi.”
 “What about them?”
“I found them in the game room. They broke the pool table.” Vegeta looked away from the singing duo to Bulma with a raised an eyebrow. “Well, ChiChi broke it. She smacked Goku with it. Payback for him being so late.” She sighed. “I understand her anger but I thought after all this time ChiChi would’ve loosened up and cut Goku some slack. He is what he is.”
Vegeta looked over to the other side of the room. ChiChi leaned on Goku who had his arm draped over her as they said their goodbyes to Krillin and 18. They looked very relaxed and not like a couple who just had a fight. Vegeta had an idea of what really happened to that pool table. “That’s what you think happened in that room?”
“Of course. What else could they have been doing?”
If she couldn’t figure it out, he wasn’t going to tell her. “Nothing I guess.”

Son Family Week 2020: GoChi Day
Dreams and Fantasies @sonfamilyweek
 Prompt: Winter
 A Winter Stroll
ChiChi always found snow beautiful on Mount Paouz. It was such a rare event. Goku grew up here and never saw snow but a few times over the years, snow fell. Today, Goku and ChiChi dropped Gohan off at Gyumao’s castle for the weekend. Piccolo was staying away, too. With training put off for a couple of days, there was no need to be in Goku and ChiChi’s home and having an idea what Goku and ChiChi will be doing, Piccolo retreated to the forest for the weekend.
As they neared Mount Paouz, ChiChi request they land and walk the rest of the way. Nimbus dropped them a mile from their home. Shoving his hands in the pockets of his blue jacket, Goku walked alongside ChiChi. He wore a knowing smile on his face. So, they were starting this again. Well, he never had any problems with it. ChiChi never did either. Most times, it was her instigating it.
Well, Goku decided as he stopped walking, might as well get started.
ChiChi’s eyes were on the white world around her. She was in awe of the snow-covered tree branches and the footprints of the forest animals recorded in the snow. Even seeing her breath form in the chilled air left her in awe. The silence of the forests was calming.
“I love these strolls through Mount Paouz but it’s even more beautiful when it snows. Don’t you think so, Goku?”
 Silence.
ChiChi looked to her left and didn’t see Goku beside her. The lack of crunchy steps in the snow told her Goku wasn’t moving. She turned to see why her husband didn’t answer her.
Goku was only a couple feet behind her. He was on one knee rolling snow together to make a snowball.
Here we go again! I actually just wanted to walk in the snow!
“I know what you’re thinking. I’m warning you! If you throw a snowball at me, I’m throwing five at you!!”
ChiChi turned and walked off. Sometimes her husband was too much. She makes one suggestion and he thinks of only one thing. Yes, they did it before but do they have to do this every time it snows? Why couldn’t they walk home in the snow without it leading to anything?
Behind her, Goku rose with a perfectly round snowball. He could see his wife grumpily retreating from him. Ooo, she was mad. Perhaps this time ChiChi actually meant it. She didn’t want to do it this time. He should let the snowball fall on the ground and walk home with her.
 Goku grinned wickedly.
 Yeah, right!
He threw the snowball and it perfectly hit the center of ChiChi’s back.
ChiChi halted. For several seconds, ChiChi stood rooted to the ground like a tree. Goku wondered if he did go too far. Maybe ChiChi actually did want to just walk home. Oh, boy. If he really made ChiChi mad and she didn’t want to do this.…… Slowly, ChiChi turned her head back at Goku. The anger on her face; the fire in her eyes.
 Oh, it was on!
ChiChi dropped to her knees and hurriedly put together snowballs and threw them. ChiChi was an expert in snowballs. She knew how to make them and throw them hard enough to impact him. True to her word, ChiChi threw five at his face and chest.
Forming another snowball at ChiChi, he threw another at ChiChi’s face.
 Oh, if looks could kill!
Goku turned to run away and escape the aerial assault but five snowballs hit his back! One hit the back of his head and the cold snow slid down his neck into the back of his jacket. Goku shuddered at the cold, wet ball sliding down and melting against his warm skin.
She was gonna pay for that one!
ChiChi ran to escape Goku’s next assault. She dived behind a tree just in time as Goku’s snowball hit the tree’s trunk.  Ha! He missed!
“Nyah! You missed me!” ChiChi stuck her tongue at him. Her victory was short-lived as a snowball smashed against her face.
 How dare he?!
ChiChi hurriedly created five snowballs. She was spitting mad!! The first snowball hit Goku so hard he was knocked into the snow. ChiChi followed that up with four more snowballs that pummeled Goku.
She was getting fierce and showing no mercy. When Goku sat up, he saw ChiChi putting piles of snow together. She was making a fort. She was determined to win this one! If that’s how she wanted to play it, Goku decided it was time to stop being easy with her, too.
While ChiChi built her fort and arsenal of snowballs, Goku worked on building his one arsenal. He put together piles of snow. It got so big, he started rolling it and pull more snow together. Goku cackled wickedly. This was it. This was the big one. She will give up after this.
“I’m gonna get you good this time, ChiChi!”
Meanwhile, ChiChi’s snow fort was completed and ChiChi hurriedly put together as many snowballs as possible. Goku’s silence left her worried he was preparing something BIG for her. ChiChi knew her attack had to be just as powerful against him!
She lost the last time. She won’t lose this time! ChiChi refused to allow it. “You will not beat me at this!”
 Oh, yes he will.
Goku’s completed snowball was over four feet wide and high. He carefully lifted it over his head so it remained intact. Victory was his! No way ChiChi will want to fight after he dump this one on her. Balancing the snowball on one hand, Goku felt ChiChi’s Ki, disappeared and appeared behind her.
“Oh!” ChiChi whipped her body around at Goku’s arrival. Her eyes went up and over Goku’s head at the giant snowball. ChiChi grabbed her biggest snowballs. They were tennis balls size and no way a match for the one Goku held. She couldn’t beat him with these!
I can’t believe it. He did it again!!! She was angry. Angry at Goku for creating this giant snowball; angry at herself for not having any preparation for Goku’s sneaky teleportation trick and angry her snowballs won’t have any effect on him! Her face was flushed with anger at her dilemma. He wore that same sneaky smirk on his face when he knew he won. It was the same one he wore when he’s feeling playful with her or when he’s above her during times of intimate moments.
 Oh, Kami. It’s happening again.
Goku saw it on her face. ChiChi knew she lost and he won. The anger on her face at her defeat was amusing. Her face was flushed a cute shade of pink; her eyes full of anger. Oh, she didn’t want to give up. She wanted to fight until the bitter end. ChiChi’s will to not give up, her desire to keep fighting affected him as always.
He could smell the scent coming from her legs; see the obvious hard tips straining from her dress as her breasts rose and fall mightily. How big and hard they must be to poke through the fabric. Goku’s eyes went to her face. If he could only concentrate on her eyes, not her body. Focus on her eyes and not her body he told himself.
But that was a mistake, too.
Staring in each other’s eyes, both knew what they other wanted; what the other needed; what they both needed.
Splat went Goku and ChiChi’s snowballs onto the ground; arms locked around each other as Goku and ChiChi jumped into each other’s arms and kissed.
 ****
The fire was large and extremely hot. It was needed to knock out the heavy chill in the air around them. Among the jackets and clothes used to create makeshift bedsheets, Goku and ChiChi snuggled close. ChiChi had the fire and Goku’s warm body to keep her naked body heated in the cold winter air. Goku was slightly affected by the weather but not as much as ChiChi. Him having Saiyan blood was a blessing at times like this.
While Goku looked relaxed with his hands behind his head, ChiChi was slightly frazzled. If Goku could choose the correct word to describe ChiChi, he would say ChiChi’s embarrassed.
“Every year we do this. We go for a walk in the snow; we get in a snowball fight, we kiss and start tearing our clothes off like horny teenagers.” Her face flushed again as she thought of how she begged Goku to hurry up and get inside her; how she begged him to move faster in her; how she praised his size and his thrusting in her. She was like a possessed succubus with her moans and screams. “It’s a strange, sick addiction with us. What’s wrong with us? Why can’t we stop, Goku?”
“Don’t know. Don’t care.” Goku didn’t have an answer for it either. The first time happened in the first year of their marriage. An innocent stroll in the snow turned into a playful snowball fight. Luckily, they were in front of their home so Goku rushed them inside. The second incident happened at night. They brought Gohan to her father’s kingdom to enjoy the snow there. One night, Goku was insistent they go outside and have a snowball fight like they did before. ChiChi was reluctant but as always couldn’t say no. A snowball fight turned into a chase in Gohan’s snow fort where Goku and ChiChi engage in such illicit activity she refused to allow Gohan to play in it the next day. At the time, ChiChi and Goku didn’t know the affects of the full moon on Goku.
It soon became an unspoken tradition between them. When it snows, they have to go on walks. ChiChi would want to have a snowball fight and it always led to this.
Feeling the mood again,  Goku rolled on top of ChiChi. Above her, her leered. Oh, boy. That look again. Her fingers gripped his back. She felt his muscles flex, his hair float above her as it changed to blonde,. She gripped his tough skin as the muscles under her fingers became more defined. “I’m ready to go again.” He sniffed. “I can tell you are, too.”
He more always aware of her in this state than she. “We’re almost home. Let’s have the next round there.”
Goku was already aligning himself in position. His hand touched her sensitive clit. ChiChi’s hips jerked in response as Goku pinched and stroked her. “One more here. I’m ready. You are, too.” His teeth nibbled the skin on her neck. “If you’re getting cold, you know my body will keep you warm.”
ChiChi could feel the awakenings of her inner succubus coming alive. Something about Goku arouse did something to her. It was as if he cast a spell on her. It turned her into a different person. Her body was acting on its own as she opened and aligned herself to his stiff form. With a hand and rise of her hips, ChiChi guided him in.
“Ah, yes!” She wonderfully moaned at the union. She exhaled as her body adjusted at the thickness. As a Super Saiyan, his body expanded in this area, too. “Mmm, I love when you’re inside me.”
“So, one more,” Goku whispered in her ear.
“Maybe one,” her head rolled back at Goku moving in and out of her. With Goku’s heated body above her, and her back against their warm jackets, ChiChi wasn’t sure if they should move. Like this, she wasn’t cold but extremely hot and getting more lubricated and adjusting to Goku’s size with each thrust. Maybe they should stay like this a little more. “Or two….” Her words broke off as she gripped Goku tighter. His slams were intense! Her screams got louder, echoing in the quiet forest the faster and harder Goku moved in her. There was no shame between them as they alerted all creatures in the forests in what they were doing.
The creatures were numb to the sounds. It didn’t bother them except for one; one that heard the activity but remained quiet to not alert detection; one that waited until it was over for this individual thought one romp will allow Goku and ChiChi get this out of their system and continue home. When it was clear this would not happen, the green individual snapped, furious and disgusted as his eyes and ears came upon this display again. He roared so loud Goku and ChiChi’s lovemaking came to a complete halt.
“DAMMIT!! COULDN’T YOU TWO WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN AT HOME? I LEFT YOUR HOME TO GET AWAY FROM THIS!!!”
