Time Will Tell || Ohma Tokita x Jinx

Summary: It has been two years since the end of Kengan Ashura and in that time Jinx conceived Ohma’s daughter, Marici. She has forced herself to move on and has grown close to Ryuki to the point she has allowed him to meet her sweet daughter. She’s finally ready to move on but… Life has other plans.

It was beyond common for Jinx to walk Kazuo home after an event, even if tonight he had Koga to follow him around like a loyal animal. Tireless chatting between the group was nothing short of pleasantly empty of any real importance.

At least Marici would have people to raise her. Just as the acceptance of her death settled upon her shoulders there was a feeling, or rather a sudden lack of it. He was supposed to be dead. He was supposed to have been long gone and she was supposed to have moved on to the point she could function as a young woman again. 

“I’ll explain later,” was all he said. Of all the things that could have been uttered it was another promise that Jinx might not trust for now. He had promised never to leave her, and he was gone. He promised to start a family with her and when he did, he vanished. How could she trust the man she loved when he was alive? When he let her mourn for two years as a single mother with no prospects outside of work and fighting? She could trust him, because he was Ohma Tokita. She could trust him because she loved him and knew there was going to be something to say. Anything to say. 

Any reason at all would be something she could cling to and trust. But how, good lord how was she supposed to tell him he was a father? That he missed the birth of his first child, her first words, her first steps, her first everything.
