I've been loving you on dndorks and I was ecstatic to find that you were also a Godzilla fan,

If I may ask, what was your introduction to Godzilla?

My introduction to Godzilla was actually the cartoon spin off of the 1998 America Godzilla movie. Godzilla The Series!

I remember watching this show on tv as a kid and being absolutely blown away by the idea of a giant monsters! My parents had even recorded a few episodes for me on an old vhs tape!

I used to watch an episode off of that vhs tape every morning to help me find the courage to go to school. If Godzilla could fight a giant bat monster, then surely I could survive a day of classes with mean kids!

As a kid with no internet, I didn’t know that there were other Godzilla movies. I thought the Single movie and cartoon was all there was. Then one day I saw a poster at the movie theater for Godzilla 2000! And it was showing that same day!

Seriously, look at this poster! I’m pretty sure this was the coolest movie poster I had ever seen!

I begged my dad to buy tickets for Godzilla 2000 instead if whatever movie we were there to see, and he said yes! I’m pretty sure my younger self thought this was the best day of my life! I had just learned that there were more Godzilla movies, and I was about to see one! In the theater!!!!

Godzilla 2000 ruled so hard! This movie was the absolute best thing I had ever seen, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that watching that movie changed my life.
