Working Part-Time in Ireland-
The best overseas education consultants in Delhi can help you to understand the requirements and also apply for such jobs. Apart from just easing the financial pressure, part-time jobs also help you gain work experience. However, there are some rules there, which you should keep in mind before working part-time.
If you are studying for a course that has a duration of over a year, then you do not require any special permit to work there.
There are two types of student visas – Stamp 2A and Stamp 2. The former is not permitted to work part-time.
If you are a student with Stamp 2, you can work for a maximum of 20 hours every week when classes are running. When there is a vacation, you can increase that to 40 hours per week.

"What do you want for xmas?" "A freaking GNIB appointment"
Governments, I swear...
So the way it goes, to be able to have a two years work-travel visa in ireland, is
You buy a top notch travel insurance
You buy a plane ticket
You ask your bank proof you have a shit ton of money so that they know you won't be dependant on the state to live.
You send all of those proofs, two pictures of yourself, and your actual physical passport by fucking mail (posts Canada better not fuck me up on that one...) somewhere. In my case, because canada, it's Toronto.
This is the demand. Someone, somewhere, is going to look at this and say yay or nay. (Hopefully it's yay, cause that plane ticket and insurance aren't going to be useful to me much otherwise....)
Then all that's left to do is go to the GNIB website and book an appointment.
At this appointment you give €300 (be still my heart. That's almost 500$.)
In exchange, they give you a shiny card that says you're allowed to work (yay!)
You can't book an appointment earlier than 10 weeks before leaving
When I received this information (because it's a new way of doing things as of this summer) they had an 8 weeks backlog.
I'm moving on January 1st.
I've been trying three times a day for three weeks to book one.
So far all I get is "no appointment available"
Guess who's not going to be able to work after the new year?

Re-registered with GNIB, it took less time to get to the office than it took for everything to get processed, which might be a record. I get my visa card next week just in time to go to the States
I’ve also bought Greebo a scratching post and some non-prescription food

Visite o Museu do Titanic.
4. Derry
A “cidade das muralhas” possui muita história e lugares a serem visitados. Passe pela Ponte Peace para atravessar o Rio Foyle.
5. Donegal
Selecionamos alguns:
Excursão de um dia inteiro às falésias de Moher: com visita à cidade de Galway, às paisagens lunares de Burren e ao Mosteiro de Kilmacduagh, com saída de Dublin;
Visita à sede da Guinness: com direito a cerveja grátis;
Excursão de um dia inteiro a Connemara e Abadia de Kylemore: com castelos de conto de fadas, aldeias tradicionais e um belo jardim murado vitoriano; com saída de Galway;

A criminalidade é baixa e a polícia é considerada eficiente.

School is Starting!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Orientation
Before school can start for any visiting students, orientation is a must. And I am very glad that their was. I had so many questions about picking classes, trying to figure out where to go for my classes, and my last minute anxiety questions.
When I walked into Áras na Mac Léinn, the student union building, I was expecting just a small orientation held for the Visiting U.S. students, but there was so much more than that. In fact, the visiting U.S. students make up only a small fraction of the visiting students here at NUIG. I was definitely surprised. There were so many Erasmus students at the orientation.
We all met in the Bailey Allen Hall to listen to several different speakers from the International Affairs Office, the campus security, the Garda, and the university’s president. Most of the speakers just talked about how excited they were that we had all chosen to attend NUIG. Some had very important information that I didn't even know about. For example, the Garda talked to us about the GNIB cards that all visiting students are required to have. It is a lot like a Student Visa, but since the U.S. is Visa exempt in Ireland, I will need to get a GNIB card. With this card, it makes it easier for me when I travel around Ireland or in and out of Ireland. I didn't know much about this before the Garda presentation.
There were also speakers there to talk about clubs and societies. When I first heard this, I thought they were referring to what we consider clubs and societies in the U.S.. However, clubs here are what we would typically call sports, and societies are what we would call clubs. I found this really interesting. This is a simple example of how things can change. The speakers talked to us about the different clubs and societies that are available to join, and there was a lot. To name a few, there was archery, crew, football (soccer), rugby, and many more.
I personally wasn't that interested in the clubs, but I was very interested in the societies. The speaker came out and talked about Society Day. This day all the clubs set up tables for students to sign up. There are over 120 societies here at NUIG. They also said that if there wasn't one that we wanted to join, we could make our own society.
Tumblr media
Picking Classes
The second day of orientation was designated for helping us pick our classes. All of the departments came to the meeting hall one by one to talk to us about the departments. They talked to us about time tables and how to find them. This was a very difficult process. Every departments posts their own time tables on their website. When picking classes I had to search each class individually and look up their time tables to make sure that the classes I wanted to take wouldn't conflict with each other. This took quite a while to find a schedule that worked with everything I wanted to do.
While researching my classes, I found that classes are normally only one hour long and only meet twice a week. The classes that are two hours long only meet one a week. These classes are normally used for lecture. Most classes also have tutorials. Tutorials are used as out of class time for discussions to be had with a TA. I currently do not know when any of my tutorials are, but they are typically a weekly occasion. So far with my schedule, I was lucky to only have classes Monday through Thursday. This is apparently a very common thing here. It is very different from SU’s MWF and TTH schedules. I am taking six classes which is 30 ECTS here, but that will transfer back as 15 credits at SU.

Tumblr media
Ireland is a phenomenal country having beautiful landscapes, ancient castles, green hills, scenic castles, grand cliffs, and great locales. Dublin is lively city with a great history and has Georgian architecture, finest music, and is regarded as a popular European location. It is easy to explore and meet wonder, history and fun. The Emerald Isle has always held a certain allure and mystique.
Ireland Immigration Visa is cherished. The country has emerged as a top destination for immigrants today.
Introduction
People need a valid Irish entry visa before arriving in the State, whether by air, sea or land. An Irish visa is placed on your passport to indicate that you are authorized to enter in the State subject to conditions.
You do not need a visa to land in Ireland if You hold a valid travel document issued in accordance with Article 28 of the Geneva Convention and if You are a family member of an EU citizen and you hold a document called “Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen”
Visa is given when you give the most up-to-date information.
If you plan to stay for more than 3 months, you should register with the immigration authorities and apply for a Residence Card. If you receive a Residence Card, you will not need a re-entry visa for travel into Ireland in future.
Types of visa When you desire to visit Ireland for a period of less than 3 months, for holidays, or business meetings or to pursue a short course of studies you can apply for a short stay ‘C’ visa for either a single entry or multiple entries. The maximum stay allowed is 90 days. It cannot be extended.
If you intend to travel to Ireland for more than 3 months, to study, or work or to settle permanently with family members (who are already resident in Ireland), please apply for a long stay ‘D’ visa for a single entry.
Re-entry visas The first visa issued to you is valid for a single entry. If you wish to leave for a short period you are required to apply for a re-entry visa. Before you can get a re-entry visa you must be registered with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).
Rates The standard visa application processing fees are:
Entry and re-entry visas: A single journey visa costs €60 and will be valid for one entry up to a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue.
A multi journey visa costs €100 and will be valid for multiple entries up to a maximum of 5 years from the date of issue.
A transit visa costs €25.
You should apply 8 weeks before you plan to come to Ireland.
Ireland has a strong economy, and an immigration system which is specially designed for working of highly skilled immigrants. The immigration system is not points based, but is geared towards allowing skilled migrants with experience and expertise required by the Irish economy. Northern Ireland is distinctly separate from the Republic of Ireland, and the immigration rules of the United Kingdom apply there.

What things do you require to claim for after an injury?
Most people aren't aware that, associated with personal injury compensation claims, such as medical bills, they can sue for nearly any damage caused by an accident. In addition to medical expenditures, you can file a claim.
General Damages
Nonspecific damages, such as pain and suffering, are widespread yet hard to prove because of their unspecified character.
Damages unique to the situation
They're known as measurable damages because they include lost wages, the expense of in-home care as a result of your accident, and property damage. Such harm is easily proved, and the success rate is great.
Medical Expenses
Medical bills and expenditures include the cost of medical testing and treatments (whether covered by insurance or not). Such costs are also easily provable because they are simple to record.
Costs of travel:
It refers to the entire cost, which includes transportation between your home and the hospital. If the therapy is available from the other country, it will also include in the traveling expenses. Such assertions are uncommon, but they are easily verifiable provided accurate records and documentation are acquired.
The Right Attorney Can Assist
You may learn that the entire process of "Building Site Accident Compensation" can be quite stressful.  As a result, getting in touch with the correct professionals, Sinnott Solicitors is essential. Speaking with one of our specialists can assist you in obtaining successful compensation.

Day 29
September 15: Today was.. annoying.
I had to get my entire life together to go to immigration and get my GNIB card - basically a temporary green card. They require so many documents and items so I spent all morning at the library getting my things together.
Then I walked a half hour to the immigration office to find out that they’re CLOSED. And not for any particular reason.. just randomly closed. I HAVE to go back Monday morning because my passport allowance ends on Monday and after that I’ll technically be here illegally. Cool. I sure hope they’re open on Monday.
I walked back through the city and stopped at a music store for something I need for class. Then I got a smoothie because I deserved it!!
I stubbornly went back to my apartment for dinner.
Later in the evening, there was an international party happening in the city that we were planning on going to. Hannah and Abby have been going to volleyball practices and got invited to a volleyball pre-party. Naturally they brought me along because we’re three peas in a pod.
We never actually made it to the international party because the volleyball party was so fun! There weren’t that many people there, but that almost made it more fun. We played some games and made some frozen pizzas and it was 2am before we knew it.
At least the day turned around for the better!
