hiii!! :3
i saw you asking for fluff requests so... perhaps it's cold out, and the reader is out with hotch (maybe going out to a crime scene or smth) and the readers shivering and hotch looks awfully warm in his coat, so ofc the reader just goes up and asks for a hug! (just to warm up ofc. no other reason to ask your hot boss for a hug 🤭) (maybe the reader manages to slide into his jacket)

The Jacket Incident | [A.H]
Tumblr media
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x gn!Reader CW: it's just cold and you were stupid enough to not wear a warm jacket. Also reader is shorter than Hotch. Fluff.
WC: 0.7k
Why is reader literally me in this one. I'm so dumb and not good at staying warm.
Tumblr media
The wind howled through the dark, desolate street, biting through the thin layers of your windbreaker as you and Hotch made your way back to the crime scene. You’d been out there for what felt like hours, and no amount of walking had kept the cold from seeping into your bones. Your fingers tingled with numbness despite being shoved deep into your pockets, and a shiver ran down your spine for the hundredth time.
Hotch, of course, looked completely unbothered. He stood a few feet away, his demeanor calm and composed despite the freezing temperature. You couldn’t help but envy him a little. While you were practically freezing, he seemed like he hadn’t even noticed the cold.
As you shifted from one foot to the other, trying to get some feeling back into your toes, you watched him finish his conversation. The way he stood, tall and commanding, only seemed to emphasize the fact that he was probably the warmest person in your vicinity. His jacket, the heavy, padded one you both wore during cases in colder climates, was unzipped - wide open, practically inviting you inside.
You bit your lip, glancing around, trying to work up the nerve to do what you’d been thinking about for the last ten minutes. He was your boss, but more importantly, he was your boyfriend, which gave you a bit more confidence. And the thought of his warmth was too tempting to ignore. Bracing yourself, you took a few steps closer until you were standing beside him, shivering dramatically to make your point.
Hotch turned his head slightly, his brow furrowing as he glanced down at you. "Are you cold?" he asked, his voice gentle, but there was a hint of playfulness in his eyes.
You nodded, giving him your best pitiful look. "Freezing," you muttered, teeth chattering for good measure.
Hotch’s gaze softened, and he let out a small sigh, his eyes flicking to your jacket before returning to your face. For a moment, you thought he was going to suggest you head back to the car, but instead, he smiled - just a tiny, private smile.
Without a word, he opened his arms, his jacket still hanging open, and gave a slight nod toward the space between them. "Come here," he said, his tone warm and inviting, holding the edges of his jacket.
Your heart skipped a beat at the offer, and without hesitating, you stepped closer, sliding your way into his open jacket. As soon as you were enveloped by his warmth, the world outside seemed to disappear. The heat of his body instantly chased away the cold, and you sighed in relief, nestling against his chest.
Hotch’s arms wrapped around you instinctively, the thick jacket falling around your shoulders like a protective barrier from the wind. He smelled like his usual aftershave, mixed with the faint scent of coffee and something distinctly him - it was comforting. His hands settled gently on your back, holding you close, and you felt his chin rest lightly on the top of your head.
"You should’ve said something sooner," he murmured, his voice rumbling through his chest.
You grinned, your cheek pressed against his shirt. "Figured you’d be too busy being all stern and in charge to notice."
Hotch chuckled softly, the sound vibrating through you, and you could feel the coldness in your body start to melt away. "I always notice," he replied quietly, his voice a little softer than usual, the warmth in his tone matching the heat of his body.
You snuggled further into his chest, your hands slipping around his waist as you relaxed into his embrace. The cold air seemed like a distant memory now, replaced by the steady beat of his heart and the comforting weight of his arms around you.
"Thanks for sharing your warmth," you mumbled, your words muffled against him.
"Anytime," Hotch replied, his hand giving your back a gentle rub. "I’m always here to keep you warm."
The two of you stood there for a while longer, wrapped up in each other, you were a sight for sore eyes. The wind and the cold now just background noise.

savior complex + Aaron Hotchner
Tumblr media
“Hey, baby! So sorry I’m late, I got caught up at work,” you say with an overly saccharine tone.
Aaron looks up from his phone as you approach him, eyeing you skeptically. He opens his mouth, but closes it when you shake your head ‘no’ frantically.
Quietly, you rush out, “I’m so sorry. There’s been a man following me from the last four blocks and I don’t want to go home. Please just act like you know me until he goes away.”
Without raising an eyebrow, Aaron’s eyes dart up and he sees the person you’re talking about. A man dressed in all black, eyes intently on you. “Don’t apologize, honey, I know how busy you get. Up for dinner?” Aaron wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you close to him. He hopes he isn’t overstepping boundaries. “Just follow me,” he says quietly, leading you further down the sidewalk. “When we get to the bookstore up there, go inside. If he’s still following us I can take care of him.”
“Okay,” you nod. “Thank you. I’m so sorry to ruin your night.”
Aaron hears the truthfulness in your voice and he looks down at you with uncharacteristically soft eyes. “You didn’t ruin my night. I’m just glad it’s me who helped you instead of some other weird guy,” he says lamely.
You side-eye him. “I’m sorry, but who are you?”
Aaron pulls his wallet from his pocket with ease. “Supervisory Special Agent Hotchner with the FBI,” he tells you. He watches you scan his ID with wide eyes until he turn to the street with the bookstore. He took a quick glance over his shoulder and saw that the man wasn’t there. “He’s gone,” he informs you.
However, you stay in Aaron’s grasp. Despite knowing the threat is gone, you choose to stay in this hot FBI man’s arm. You know you’re fooling yourself but you just wanted to imagine- for a couple more moments- that you do have a hot FBI boyfriend that escorts you to mundane places like the bookstore and calls you honey and protects you from all the bad guys.
“Is there any way I can say thank you without saying it?” You ask with a nervous chuckle when he leads you to front of the building.
Aaron watches you for a moment before checking his watch and scratching his head. “If you’re offering, I could eat- but don’t feel compelled. It’s really no proble-“
“Agent Hotchner, it’s really no problem. Where do you want to go?”
“Call me Aaron,” he smiles. “And… I could go for some burgers.”

Can we please get a blurb of big dick Hotch (who knows it’s big) making it fit? Reader thinks they can’t take it but Hotch just knoooows they can. Hehe thank you!
You say it’s big but you take it
Aaron Hotchner x gn!reader
Warnings/contains: reader is gender neutral with no mentions of genitals, oral sex, edging, penetrative sex, no protection, finger sucking, swearing, dirty talk, light face slapping, probably a size kink
I’m so grateful for this ask because I only explored this a little in my last Hotch fic and it deserved more
Tumblr media
He’d had his mouth between your legs for the better part of an hour, his tongue working over your entrance as his fingers gently worked their way in.
That, that was already doing your head in. His thick fingers stretched you enough to have your toes curling, fingers threading into his hair.
You’d been on the precipice of an orgasm from the beginning too, every time you’d get close enough he’d slow you right back down to work you up again.
Pathetic. You looked truly pathetic, utterly debauched and completely fucked out- already.
Stripped naked, Hotch had pulled every last article of clothing off you before he’d pushed you back on the bed. Of course, he’d only shed his suit jacket and loosened his tie. He’d rolled up the sleeves of his dress shirt but he was still nearly entirely covered.
That was another way he commanded total power over you. Leaving you so exposed to him whilst you had to fight for a glimpse at him.
Drove you fucking crazy.
You couldn’t help the whimpering as you felt him move away from you, hands stretching out to catch him but he quieted you quickly.
“Stop it- you’re being greedy.”
Lip jutting out, pouting like a child- he was completely correct but you made no effort to stop. “I need you.”
Kneeling back, you watched his big hands start to loosen his belt, pulling down his pants and briefs just enough to free himself.
“You’ll get me, when have I ever let you down?”
He had a point, you couldn’t imagine a world where Hotch didn’t leave you satisfied. But he was right, you were greedy and your patience was wearing thin.
You watched through hooded eyes as he reached into his boxers, pulling out his cock before giving it a languid stroke. It nearly made your eyes roll back, not even his large palm dwarfing the size of it.
He placed that same palm in front of you, giving you a quick nod that you understood immediately. Tilting your head, you spat into his hand before he wrapped it back around himself.
As he slowly jerked himself off before you, his other hand came back to keep rubbing the wetness from his mouth around your entrance.
His eyes flickered to yours, knowing he was being watched. He knew you well enough to know what you’d say next.
“It’s so big.”
It wasn’t even to stroke his ego, and the way you whined when you said it painted it more as a protest. Aaron Hotchner was hung, there was no denying it.
Every time with him felt like the first.
That’s why the prep went for so long, that’s why there was very seldom a quickie, that’s why you always woke with a burn between your legs.
“I know it’s big, sweetheart,” He cooed, rubbing his hand over the tip. “But you always take it so well, yeah?”
Your mouth dropped open with a cry, bucking your hips into the touch of his fingers. This was how it went, he’d work it into you with a lot of patience and a heap of praise.
The blunt tip was nudging against you, breaching the tight grasp of you as he slowly slid himself in. Your eyes screwed up tight until you felt Hotch grasping your chin, four fingers and thumb on either side as your lips puckered.
“Watch me,” His breath was clipped as he continued to ease his hips. “Watch it go in.”
His grip tightened slightly as he tilted your head down, eyes falling on the sight before you. His thick cock, stretching you around him as another inch of him disappeared.
“Fuck- s’too big-“
His grip loosened enough to lay a quick and gentle slap to your cheek, shutting you up in an instant.
“I don’t want to hear you unless you’re telling me to fuck you harder.”
Your stomach tightened up, a surge of pleasure hitting your straight on as he spoke. The burn was beginning to ease the closer he got to being hip deep.
Once he’s fully sunk in, he stilled enough for you to get fully adjusted. The moment he heard a deep moan from the pit of your chest, he knew that was his sign to start moving.
“That’s it, so good for me,” His fingers slipped across your lip before he dipped his thumb in your mouth. “We’ll always make it fit.”

Loving the Boss's Daughter
- Spencer Reid x Reader!Hotch's Kid
- Thank you so much @fallout-girl219 for the suggestion and thank you all for 800 followers!!!!
- Fluff, Worried Spence, WC: 1,458
Tumblr media
"Oh, he's gonna kill me. Why didn't I think of this before?" Spencer says as he places back and forth in front of Hotch's office.
"Spence, Honey, please calm down. He's not gonna hurt you." You reassure. Ever since you decided it was time for your dad to know about your relationship with Spencer, he's been freaking out.
The thought of Hotch disapproving of your relationship made him feel like a kid needing a parents permission to do something. Safe to say he's not anxious to get this done.
"Easy for you to say!" He exclaims in a whisper, "He's your father, he can't fire you."
"He's not gonna fire you!" You put your hands on your hips and shake your head softly, "I promise there is nothing to worry about. We're both adults, there's nothing he can do anyway."
Spencer goes to respond but you cut him off.
"Before you start with the firing you nonsense, and yes it's nonsense, he can't fire you for a relationship in your personal life. And he wouldn't want to." You stand in front of him to put your hands over his shoulders. You place a swift kiss on his lips and smile at him.
"I know." He tells you, voice soft. He places his hands around your waist and pulls you closer.
"Then why worry?" You ask him gently, brushing a few strands of hair away from his face.
He doesn't respond immediately. You take notice of the growing nervousness on his face and biting the inside of his lip.
"Spence, c'mon." You feel a matching amount of nervousness the longer he takes to respond."
"I don't want him to be disappointed." He finally explains, so quiet you barely hear it. You furrow your brows in a mix of confusion and upset.
"Disappointed?" you repeat, "Why would he be disappointed?"
His dark eyes meet yours, "I don't know if I'm exactly the kind of guy your dad would want you to be with."
"What? Spence, that's insane." You regret your words as he frowns, "No I mean-" you take a breath, "Spence you're incredible. I mean you're a genius, you have a great job, and you are kinder and sweeter than any other man I have ever met. You're exactly who any father would want their kid dating."
"That's really sweet." He places his forehead against yours.
"I mean every word." You smile brightly, moving back an inch or two to mess with his tie.
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"Stop, you're gonna make me blush." You joke, pulling all the way back and grabbing his hand. "Let's not keep the big man waiting."
Spencer laughs behind you as you lead him to your dad's office. You walk in without knocking and go to take a seat in front of his desk, all without him looking up, therefore, not noticing Spencer trailing shyly behind you.
"Dad. I have to tell you something." You announce, plopping down in the chair directly in front of him. Only once he hears your voice does he look up and see the lanky boy inches behind you.
"What do you need, Kid?" He asks you, pushing his work to the side to try and give you his full attention, "Reid." He nods to him in acknowledgement.
"Oh nothing. I just thought I should let you know that Spencer and I are in a relationship." You say plainly. You see no reason why you should drag out this conversation, with Spencer being as nervous as he is. You feel his hand on your shoulder and smile at your dad.
"Reid." He turns his attention. "Sit."
If Spencer wasn't nervous before he was now. You're not entirely sure what your dad's goal is at the moment. You know he feels fondly of the guy and he knows better than to do anything to hurt your relationship. You observe them both as Spence sits in the chair beside you.
Having a father in the FBI can be difficult, especially in a split home. Getting to this point in your relationship took too much time for him to throw it away.
"I hope this isn't a problem, Hotch." Spencer finally speaks, clearing his throat quickly once he finishes.
"Not at all." Hotch confirms blankly, "However, I do have some questions."
"Really?" You chime in. "Nothing about marriage or babies or anything else I don't approve of."
Spencer reaches over to hold your hand, placing them both comfortably on your thigh.
"Fine, I have one question."
"Okay, what do you want to know?" Spencer asks. Better to get it over with sooner. The sooner he can be out of this office and back in the comfort of his own home, with you, the better.
"Is this going to affect the quality of your work?" He doesn't allow either of you to respond before continuing, "You have made it quite obvious that something was going on and while I didn't expect my kid to be the cause of it, it has been noted. Getting distracted or basing more decisions off your partner isn't accepted, no matter who they are." You swallow harshly. It's a speech you have to hear now and will most likely hear more in the future, but it's not great thinking you might be the cause of someone's job ending.
Of course Spencer won't lose his job and if he does you won't be the cause of it, but overthinking is a bitch.
"I know, Hotch. I've really only been distracted because of this conversation but it won't happen in the future." Spencer replies, voice full of professionalism, if that's even a word.
"I don't think it will but it is something that needs to be said. This job is important-"
"Lay off a little will you." You interrupt. "I know for a fact you don't give this lecture to Morgan every time he gets a girlfriend. And you didn't lecture JJ when her and Will got together."
"You're my kid, it's different."
"I am, Spencer's not." Spence leans a little back in his chair as you and your dad talk. He rubs him thumb along the top of your hand but otherwise stays quiet and still. "Telling him how important his job is has nothing to do with our relationship which is the only reason we're here to talk."
He sighs deeply. "Fine you're right. I guess I got a little off track but only because I don't want anything to affect anything."
"You're too high strung. Stop worrying for a couple minutes and congratulate me and my boyfriend for our relationship." You instruct him. You don't blame him for the way he is, having such a tough job and all. But relaxing a little is good for everyone. And he has all the time in the world for a lecture.
"Congratulations on your relationship," he says with a small smile, "Neither of you could've picked anyone better."
You look over just in time to see your boyfriend's smile and a soft red tint coat on his face. He grips your hand just a tad bit tighter as his nervousness disperses.
"Thank you dad." You smile and stand. Dragging Spencer's arm up with you.
"Thanks Hotch." Spencer says, giving your dad a firm handshake. You walk hand in hand out of the office and with a click of the door behind, a deep breath makes its way out of the tall man beside you.
"Wasn't so bad was it?" You ask him while you both begin walking away from the office. You run your hand along his arm in a successful attempt at comfort.
"I don't know, for a moment there I wasn't sure what he was thinking."
"I did. He just worries too much and doesn't know how to put his feelings into words."
"Yeah I've noticed. He's very stone faced 99% of the time." He recalls all the years they've worked together.
"He cares a lot."
"He does. And he was right."
"About?"
"I really couldn't have picked anyone better."
"Oh, Dr. Spencer Reid, ever the sweet talker." You laugh, heat rising up your cheeks.
"It's true." He exclaims.
"I couldn't have either. Guess that makes us perfect for each other." He grins widely and kisses you cheek.
"Guess so. Even if you are incredibly cheesy."
"Hey you started it! Mr "I couldn't have picked anyone better." C'mon now." You try your best to imitate his voice but fail miserably with your words broken up between laughs.
"That's not how I sound at all!"
"Oh whatever you say sweetie." He grabs your wrist to stop you from walking.
"You bully me." He whispers with a light chuckle, pulling you in for a happy kiss.

Mr. Scratch - Aaron Hotchner x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
a little hurt/comfort inspired by ep. 10x21 - mr. scratch aaron's hallucination is you getting killed right in front of him. pre-relationship <3 words: 1.6k warnings: basically everything bad that happens in that episode: being drugged, hallucinations, blood, feeling paranoid
Aaron stayed unfazed by the sight of the gun pointed at him; his stare cold and unwavering.
“Oh, that was good. Oh, that was so good,” Peter whispered. “That was so impressive.”
His eyes almost sparkled with excitement as he went on, “The way you got into my head…It makes me want to know how I get into yours.”
A sound from right outside interrupted him and Aaron already knew where it was coming from. His team was there, you were there.
“You were right,” Peter said. “They did come calling for you.”
“They’ll kill you,” he threatened him with the same certainty he knew the sun would come up in the morning.
Peter’s next words though made his heart tremble with fear. “Are you sure about that?”
The dead silence in the house allowed him to focus on every little sound being made. His ears despite having been injured in the past could almost hear the door open. They could almost hear the sound of footsteps. He was certain, you were inside the house.
Peter had disappeared in the darkness and he could only pray you would get to him first. What if you weren’t fast enough? What if he drugged you too? What if-
A gunshot from the next room tore his heart in half.
He cursed himself for being unable to move, frozen in the same place as if he was stuck in the middle of a nightmare. Someone was being hurt and he was too weak to help; too slow to save them.
More gunshots followed, he thought he heard someone scream.
And then he heard you. “Hotch!”
Your voice was desperate, scared. But it meant you were alive, and that was more than enough to him.
“Here,” he said with every inch of power he had left in his body.
“Where?”
“Here,” he repeated. “In the study.”
First he saw the outline of your body, moving like a shadow towards him. Your eyes were wide with worry, like every time you saw him in danger. His sweet Y/N, who cared for him in a way he never knew he needed before.
“Where? Where is he?” he breathed as you knelt next to him.
“I shot him. He’s down,” you said.
Before he had the chance to feel relief, before he had the chance to look into your eyes for just a moment of comfort, a body hid the light behind you. He wasn’t dead.
“Y/N!” Aaron yelled, but the bullet had already left Peter’s gun.
You fell to the ground and your hand covering the wound in your neck did nothing to stop the blood from running.
“No,” he screamed with desperation. “No, no, no.”
Tears ran down his cheeks getting mixed with your blood that had been splashed on his face, but he was unable to move. He wanted to run to you, to take you in his arms, to steal you away, but he was stuck watching your terrified expression as you were bleeding to death.
“No,” he cried. “No, baby, not you. Help!” he screamed. “Somebody help!”
His body was shaking, but as if he was under a spell, he couldn’t even lift his arm. A feeling of helplessness took over his body that he had only experienced once before; the day he lost Haley.
“Not my Y/N,” he choked on his sobs.
“Now I know what scares you,” Peter said, towering over him.
The gun he pointed at Aaron turned towards your body again and you were met with a final shot.
“No!”
His eyes closed, his blood boiling with fury. “Son of a bitch. Son of a bitch.”
When he opened them again, he had to blink a few times before he realized that your body was gone. His head was dizzy and his vision was blurred, but he was certain of one thing: you were no longer lifeless, laying right in front of him.
“It’s okay. You can move now.”
He had been fooled, just like all of his victims before. Aaron knew what he had to do now, the fact that you were still alive giving him some clarity.
“I’m about to come through that front door.”
He was lying, but still Aaron accepted the knife Peter gave him and turned to the door. You were about to come in, and this time for real; he had to play along. This time he had a second chance. A second chance to save the person he loved that was so brutally taken away from him the first time.
“My gun,” he asked. “I need my gun.”
“Look. Here I come,” Peter said. “Kill me.”
Aaron reached out for his gun and pointed at the spot he had shown him. As soon as he saw the door open, he turned around and shot Peter as fast as he could.
“Hotch!” you ran to him. “We need a medic in here!” you asked.
“Take it,” he said, terrified, giving you his gun. He didn’t trust himself with it; not when it was you right in front of him. “Take it.”
You did as he said, placing your hand on his arm, trying to figure out a way to comfort him.
“He made me see things,” he cried. And then in a breath he said again, “He made me see things...”
“It’s over,” you said softly. “You’re okay. Look at me.”
Aaron met your gaze and you didn’t seem to think twice before reaching out to him and taking him into your arms. He couldn’t help but melt into your embrace.
“It’s okay,” you kept repeating to him, and it wasn’t the words you used, but the sound of your voice that calmed his shaking body down. “I’m here, I got you.”
“He’s gone,” Spencer informed you.
--
“He looks traumatized,” JJ said, staring at her boss. Peter had just been arrested but it didn’t seem to have calmed him down. His attention was completely devoted to you, as you held his hand and talked to him at the back of the ambulance.
“His hallucinations were probably traumatic,” Rossi said.
“He needs to talk about it,” Derek added.
“I’m sure he will. He has Y/N to talk to.”
Their attention turned back to you. You were holding a piece of cotton now, patting it softly over his wound. He kept insisting to the medics he was fine, but seemed fine with you touching him.
Your free hand was still holding his.
“I didn’t know they were…” JJ said before David interrupted her.
“This isn’t the time or the place for a conversation like this. Let’s just be grateful he’s letting someone in.”
“You’re right,” Morgan said.
--
You insisted on driving Aaron home and if he was honest with himself he had no issues with it, since he had also no intention of ever leaving you out of his sight again.
He was thankful Jack wasn’t home. The last thing he wanted was for his son to see him in that state.
Closing the door behind you, you made your way around his couch and sat next to him. You seemed almost awkward in your moves.
The fact that you were a soft spot for him was not a piece of information he had ever shared with you before. But after that night it would be ridiculous for either of you to pretend you were just a unit chief and his subordinate. Your dynamic had shifted.
“Thank you,” he said. “For driving me home.”
“I would never let you drive in that state.”
Any other day your sweet words would have made him smile, but Aaron didn’t have it in him at that moment. He was exhausted and scared.
“Aaron,” you said, reaching out for his hand. The sweet gesture and the use of his first name made his heart flutter. “You can talk to me…about what you saw.”
Flashes of your bleeding body appeared right in front of him. He was back in that house, frozen to the ground, hearing your desperate chokes as you bled away.
“Hotch? Aaron?”
It all vanished the next second, as he blinked to send them away.
“I saw your death.”
His words visibly shook you, and you slightly opened your mouth but without making a sound.
Aaron’s voice broke. “He shot you right in front of my eyes. You were bleeding to death and I couldn’t move.”
His breaths were getting shorter as he sobbed and you moved closer to him, placing your palm right over his heart. “I was too late again. I didn’t save you.”
“You did. You shot him, remember? You saved me,” you smiled sweetly. “You saved all of us. He drugged you and you still managed to shoot him.”
He couldn’t help but let all the tears out. “I’m scared I never woke up from it. I’m scared you’re not real.”
“I’m real. I’m right here, I promise.”
“Y/N…”
Your movements were careful as you lifted your hand to cup his cheek, and the comforting motion of your thumb rubbing the side of his head brought him back to reality. You were real, his inner voice repeated.
“I am terrified of losing you,” he admitted.
“You won’t.”
He tried to speak again but his sobs wouldn’t allow him to.
“It’s okay,” you said. “It’s okay.”
Your eyes were watery too, and he wanted nothing more than to kiss your tears away. But you put him back to his place, silently reminding him that he was the one who needed comfort this time, as you wiped his tears away with your hand. “I’m here.”
“Will you stay?”
“Do you think I would leave you here alone? I would stay even if you didn’t want me to,” you answered.
“I would never not want you here, Y/N.”
Aaron fell into your arms and you held him there with no intention of letting him go. “I know.”

Meet-Cute
Description: It's all in the title, isn't it?
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x gn!Reader
Warnings: none :)
Word Count: 1k
Tumblr media
On a Saturday morning after a night of drinking, the last thing you personally cared for was to be awoken by the loudest noise on earth. Some terrible creaking sound, mixed with thuds that seemed to resound in your apartment every thirty seconds had you practically developing a stress-induced twitch as you laid in bed.
To put it nicely: you were at the end of your rope.
You begrudgingly got out of bed, roughly washed your face, angrily brushed your teeth, and stomped to your door. You may not usually be prone to dramatics, but you felt it necessary for your well-being this time. You opened your door, about to confront your terribly noisy neighbor, when you realized that it was someone moving in.
You wanted to be angry. You really did. But…
“Hello,” said a man who you could only describe as genuinely tall, dark, and handsome. He also looked a little surprised.
You wiped the scowl off your face. “Hi.”
He looked around, as if the answer for you standing in your doorway in pajamas, looking quite annoyed, would appear out of thin air. It didn’t. You realized as much about thirty seconds later as you finally started speaking.
“Sorry. Are you moving in?”
"Oh! Yeah," he breathed out a small laugh. God he was handsome. "I apologize for the noise.”
You shake your head. “No! No, that’s okay. Just… curious.”
He smiled a little and you tried not to melt on the spot. He reached his hand out in greeting.
“I’m Aaron.”
You shook his hand, trying not to stare at him as you gave him your name.
“Nice to meet you,” you said softly.
“You, too. Uh… I’m just gonna…” he trailed off, nodding at the box under his arm.
“Of course!” you nod quickly. “Right. Um… I’ll see you around, Aaron.”
You went back to your apartment, shutting the door behind you with a little grin. So much for staying determined to be grumpy and less than pleasant today.
It was, unfortunately, two weeks later before you saw him again. This time as you were checking your mailbox in the lobby. As you heard someone clear their throat, you muttered a small apology, stepping out of the way as you looked through the letters in your hand.
“Um… hi,” he offered as a greeting that made you jump a little bit. "Sorry, I didn't mean to... Just wanted to say hello."
You looked up at the voice that was irritatingly smooth, finding yourself getting a bit warm in the cheeks when you noticed him giving you almost a shy smile. You turned towards him more to give him your full attention.
"Oh, gosh. Uh, sorry," you chuckled softly, returning his smile. "Guess I'm not very good at being neighborly, am I?"
"You're doing just fine. I'm sure it might be a little... maybe off-putting to have a strange man approach you in the lobby, now that I think of it."
You shook your head. “It’s not that at all. I’m just… not used to people approaching me here at all.”
“Not exactly social?”
“More like nobody else here is. I don’t mind a little company,” you replied, a little more flirty than you were intending.
Clearly he didn’t mind.
“Good to know,” he nodded once with a growing smirk.
“Uh…” you clammed up a tiny bit. “So… Um, are you, like, new around here?”
“Only to this building. I’ve been in D.C. for too many years to count,” his smirk melted into a softer smile. “Just needed someplace new, I guess. My old apartment… I just needed a change of scenery.”
“Yeah. Yeah, no, I’ve been there,” you nodded softly. “How are you liking it so far?”
“It’s great. My son loves it here.”
Your brows raised a little. “You have a son?”
“I’m shocked you didn’t file a complaint last night with the tantrum he threw,” he chuckled a tiny bit.
“I was out last night, so no worries here.”
“Oh? With friends, or…?”
You couldn’t help but smile a little more. “Yeah. Just a couple of girlfriends.”
“That sounds fun.”
“Maybe too much fun.”
“You get up to a lot with them?” he asked casually, though not without humor, crossing his arms over his chest.
You smiled. “Only on occasion. I don’t think I could really handle the way they go out practically every single night. I only agree to go out like that with them once a month.”
“Now you’re sounding a little too much like me for someone so young and pretty.”
You find your cheeks warm at that, though you try not to react outwardly. You could tell that he knew just how much he had affected you, though. If you didn’t know any better, you might guess he was a mindreader.
“I think you make yourself out to be too boring for someone so friendly and handsome.”
He laughed a little at that. Then a comfortable silence falls over the both of you for a moment. Maybe two moments. Eventually, you shift your weight, and look back up at him again. He really is horribly handsome. A guy shouldn’t be able to look like that, and… God, he smelled good, too. You shuffled the mail in your hands a little bit before speaking again.
“Uh… Well, it was nice chatting with you, but unfortunately I do have to go clean my apartment. Family is coming over tomorrow,” you said softly. “I’ll see you around, though, yeah?”
“Yes, that sounds… sounds good. Maybe if you end up wanting some of that company you were talking about, we could get dinner some time?”
You couldn’t help a giddy smile sneaking onto your face. You nodded easily, glancing at his hand as he shut your mailbox for you near your head.
“I could come knock on your door some time soon and invite you properly, if you’d be alright with that,” he said, that little smirk sneaking back onto his face.
“I’d like that.”

Whumptober Day 21 - Aaron Hotchner
Tumblr media
Aaron Hotchner x gn!autistic!reader
Prompt: "You haven't done anything wrong."
Trigger Warnings: None
Summary: After a particularly long day, you find yourself overwhelmed and unsure. Luckily Aaron is there to help you calm down, no matter how much you protest.
You had been laying on the floor of the living room for some time now, listening to music playing softly from where you had abandoned your phone on the coffee table.
You didn't even hear the front door open, or realize Aaron had entered the room until he was practically right next to you, looking down at your with a puzzled face.
You blinked, glancing at the clock on the wall behind him, "I didn't realize it was already time..."
"I got out a little early today," Slowly he shrugged off his jacket, and sat down on the floor beside you, "Are you alright sweetheart?"
"Weird day..." You thought for a moment, searching for the right words to put to the feeling, "I'm all.... jumbled up and tired."
"Is there anything I can do?"
You bit your lip, suddenly finding yourself drowning in the same overwhelming feeling that had presented itself to you at every fork in the road that the day had given you. You swallowed thickly, near tears without a reason, and frustrated with yourself for it. "I- I don't know."
In an instant, Aaron was taking your hand in his and squeezing it, "That's alright, honey. We'll figure it out."
You squeezed his hand back, desperately, and he laid out on his back beside you. The two of you sat in the quiet for a few long minutes, breathing together.
"Can you explain what's wrong, so that i know how to help?" He asked eventually.
You thought for a long moment, "I just- there were so many things I needed to do and I couldn't figure out what to do first and- and- then I couldn't do any of them- I can't do decisions today. I'm just- too tired...."
Aaron listened patiently, nodding along. That was something you always appreciated about him. He would always listen to you try to explain anything that was bothering you, and not get fed up with your strange explanations. He even managed to find meaning in your strange, circling thoughts that you sometimes couldn't fully decipher.
"How about this," He propped himself up on his elbow, "You take a little more time here while I go order some dinner, from that place you like down the street. Then we can eat, and start watching that series that Penelope recommended. Does that sound okay?"
You nodded, and he leaned in to press a kiss to your forehead before starting to get up, "Be right back."
You sat up after him, half thinking you were going to follow him, "I'm sorry..."
"You don't need to apologize, honey. You haven't done anything wrong."

I barely managed to enter my apartment and drop my gear to the floor when the shrill ringtone of my cellphone broke the otherwise pleasant silence.
Fuck. Me.
I plead to whoever is listening that it’s not my section chief calling about a case. I ripped the cellphone from my pocket, too frustrated to even look at the caller ID as I snapped out my last name.
“Rough night?” came the deep, soothing voice on the other end.
Oh.
“Hey, Aaron,” I sighed and relaxed. “Sorry, I thought it was another case.”
“It’s okay. Are you busy?” He asked and I could hear the slightest hint of hope in his voice.
“Depends on what you’re going to ask me and...what I’ll get in return,” I stressed. “I just got home.”
“I can promise free drinks,” he chuckled, the vibrations buzzing through to my end of the phone. “The team is going out and Dave just went out of town.”
Hotch doesn't need to say more than that for me to understand what he’s asking. He wants a social buffer and for free drinks I’ll do just about anything for him.
~
His team had helped the DC Field Office with a case that I oversaw about six months back. The case had quickly spiraled out of control with multiple unsubs, and I begged my chief to let us call the BAU in for help. While they didn’t swoop in and solve the case in a matter of days, they certainly got it back to a manageable position. What would have taken months of work was quickly cut down to two weeks.
Since it was still relatively local, Hotch’s team would go home every night and come back bright and early. One of the first nights with them on the case, I waved them goodnight; standing like I would be leaving shortly after them. As they disappeared out of sight, I sat back down and stayed firmly planted at my desk. I was still flipping through files over the umpteenth coffee of the day when soft footsteps stopped in front of my desk.
“You’re still here?”
Hotchner.
“Yea, I’m just...” I gestured vaguely to the files. “I don’t really know what I’m looking for anymore. Just hoping I can find something.” I gave him a tight smile as he hovered by my desk. His bag was nowhere in sight, so it was clear he had no plans to leave either.
The grim smile on his face confirmed that he was doing exactly the same.
“I’m sure he's waiting for you at home,” he nodded to the picture on my desk as I went back to looking at the files in front of me.
“That’s my cousin,” I stated without having to look. “No one’s waiting for me, I promise you that. Plus, you don’t seem like you’re leaving either, so...”
“Got me there,” Hotch smirked, shifting his weight nervously as I paid half-attention to him. “I won’t snitch if you won’t? My son is with his aunt, so my apartment is a little depressing.”
At that confession, I looked back up at him as his expression turned crestfallen.
“Deal. You can pull up a chair, if you want.” I suggested, seeing that the floor was pretty much empty now and it seemed cruel to make him sit by himself wherever we were able to stuff his team on the cluttered floor.
This went on for the next two weeks that the BAU worked with us and each night the ice broke a little more. That extra hour or two after the team left progressed from talking about the case to talking about ourselves. It was surprisingly easy considering his personality on a case, but once his defenses came down, he was more relaxed and even threw in a smile that I began to notice was quite rare.
I began noticing his nearly imperceptible antics when he was stressed. His tight expression would feign focus but his white-knuckled grip on whatever was in his hand told a different story. I caught myself pressing a finger to his tight fist throughout the day, making him aware of what he was doing before removing my fingers as soon as his fist loosened. At some point, he stopped straining his hand muscles, but I’d feel his finger pressing firmly against one of mine whenever he was near me. It was usually brief, just enough to feel the ridges on each other’s fingers before his touch was gone.
After the case was over, I never expected to hear from him. Hotch’s number stayed saved in my phone from the case, but never once did I expect to see it flash across my screen while driving home one night. Drinks became a nearly weekly occurrence between the two of us—provided neither of us were on a case—and while nothing more ever happened, I couldn't tell what his endgame was. We chatted about the weeks we both had, family, sorrows—all of it—all the while our hands pressed against each other just to feel another person.
I chalked it up to anxiety for him and loneliness for myself.
~
Despite our nights out together, we never went out with his team, and I hadn't seen them since the case all those months ago. So, it was a little unnerving to accept his invitation. How would he explain us being on friendly terms now despite not knowing each other prior to the case? Would they even care? Does it even matter?
“Uh, sure. Where at? I just need to change,” I answered him.
“I’ll pick you up in twenty?” he asked, and I shouldn’t have been surprised at his need to drive by now.
Control freak.
“Okay.”
“See you soon.”
I changed into something more comfortable, but not too comfortable. I didn’t want to look like I wanted to stay home curled on my couch.
Even if that sounded heavenly right now. Hotch could come, too.
When Aaron sent a text to tell me he was here, I was out the door in a few seconds. The inside of his SUV lit up as I opened the door, revealing him dressed in a dark, long-sleeved sweater and jeans.
“Hey,” he greeted me as I climbed in.
“Thanks for picking me up.”
Once I was seated and buckled, I rested my arm on the center console next to his. His sleeves were pushed up to his forearms, his hair tickling my skin as he took off. At the first red light we hit, he adjusted the radio and brought his hand back down to land directly on mine.
He didn’t move it, and I didn’t want him to.
The air was thick with booze and sweat as we entered the bar. It was different from the one Hotch and I usually frequented, preferring something quieter and lower key than this one. It’s crowded, not surprising for a Friday night, but it sure did make it more difficult to locate his team. This time, I'm the one initiating contact, pressing two fingers into his palm as we approached where the team was tucked into a back corner booth. I removed my fingers before they noticed our approach.
“Hotch!” They all greeted him at varying levels of excitement with empty glasses already littering the table.
How long had they been here already?
Morgan had begun moving the team deeper in the booth to make room for us when I recognized a member of their team who I had only seen via a computer screen.
“Hey, nice to see you again,” I greeted everyone, having to raise my voice as the music battled with the overlapping conversations around us. “You must be Garcia,” I reached over and shook her hand as we slid in.
Her excitement was contagious, and I couldn’t help myself from grinning as she spoke and reintroduced the team by first name. There were looks and eyebrows exchanged between the others as they likely wondered exactly what I’d feared, but none of them expressed their questions verbally.
“Drink?” I heard Hotch ask as a waiter came by and I nodded to him, knowing it’ll help my nerves.
I didn’t even need to tell him what drink to order at this point.
“Thanks,” I smiled and felt him shift closer to me until our legs were practically glued together.
It must have been my lucky day because the team kept the conversation topics relatively light as the night wore on. There were plenty of shots going around—Hotch only agreeing to have one with them in solidarity—coupled with food, a few spill mishaps, and raucous laughter. Hotch laughed and smiled with them but not nearly as loudly. He did surprisingly well anxiety-wise, so I wasn’t entirely sure why he wanted me here in the first place. I was having fun, though, and he’d insisted on paying for me, so I didn’t think too hard on it.
My hands were both above the table fidgeting with the condensation on my glass as we loudly discussed the current topic. Hotch tapped his fingers on his glass rhythmically with one hand while the other dropped below and landed on my leg. I jumped at the contact and hoped everyone was too inebriated to notice.
No dice.
Spencer's glassy eyes snapped to my movement briefly, JJ made eye contact across the table with Penelope, Emily stared me dead in the eyes, and Derek stared at Hotch. If I wasn't also in the same line of work, it might not have been so noticeable considering they hadn’t stopped the conversation.
Hotch played it off, slouching back against the booth and laughing at whatever Emily was recanting, looking a little more at ease with the touch.
Now, I notice the difference.
As nonchalantly as possible, he relaxed his arm, slipped his hand between my knees, and tucked his palm under my leg to cup where my hamstring met the bend in my leg. I could feel his warmth through my pants and the way his thumb obsessively traced the inner seam near my knee.
I almost thought they would ignore the way he was leaning noticeably closer, and I was sorely disappointed when Penelope spoke up after Emily finished.
Penelope's eyes were perceptive, and she leaned forward playfully while Derek leaned into her with his arm draped over her shoulder, “So, you two,” she began. Her eyes were twinkling with far too much mischief and now I believed every word from Hotch about how much trouble her and the man next to her got in to together, “You’re...?”
I grinned, laughing off her intrigue and kept my voice as steady as possible, “We’re friends.”
Derek in this state was even more blunt, teasing Hotch further with a smirk playing on his lips, “With benefits?”
Penelope gasped that he followed up with that line while the others hid giggles behind their drinks.
Hotch’s brow furrowed and he lifted his drink off the table as a flush rose up his neck to his cheeks. He took a sip while looking in my direction and I held his gaze. There’s a look I didn’t quite recognize there. “Without sex?” he finally said once he swallowed and set his glass down, “Then, what’s the benefit?”
The entire table erupted into laughter. Derek and Penelope were practically laughing on top of each other, Emily was laughing behind the hand clasped over her mouth with huge, surprised eyes, and Spencer was laughing into JJ's shoulder.
I was just as surprised as them and hadn’t broken eye contact with Aaron yet. His hand had reassuringly squeezed my leg as he smirked to let me know he was joking. With a challenging glint in my eyes, I finally responded as the laughter died down a bit. “My delightful company, asshole,” I shoved him with my shoulder. “And someone to talk to and...did I mention my winning personality?”
Hotch laughed, closing his eyes and leaned heavily back into me. He moved his hand from my leg to wrap his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his side.
“Dick,” I murmured playfully through a fake frown.
Aaron just slid over a leftover shot as consolation.
The rest of the night passed in a blur, but the sudden mention of sex has me sweating underneath my clothes. Hotch’s heavy arm and sweater did nothing to help that. It wasn’t like I was unaware of his attractiveness; I was simply unsure of his intentions considering we had never spoke about our relationship. There were plenty of times I had to talk myself out of kissing him despite how easy it would have been, but the look in his eyes when he said that had me digging up all those thoughts again.
It wasn’t a terrible idea. We were both single, busy, and hung out enough as it was. I liked to think were both mature enough to handle something like that. I took another long swig of my drink with a deep frown that I didn’t realize was there.
“You okay?” he dropped his head to murmur close to my ear.
He snapped me out of my thoughts, and I gave him a reassuring grin, “Yea.”
The bar crowd grew thinner and thinner as time passed. Reid looked like he could fall asleep any second and JJ was the only barrier holding him up. The team soon rose, promising to take cabs home to reassure their boss that they were all responsible adults.
Derek gave Aaron one last sly smirk before following Penelope and the others. Hotch just shook his head at him with an amused sigh.
“Thank you for coming with me tonight,” Aaron murmured once they were gone, his voice low now that the bar was much quieter than it was hours ago.
“Of course. It was fun,” I leaned my head on his shoulder.
Despite the absence of the others, he didn’t retract his arm, and my heart started pounding a little faster at the thought. His touch felt more intimate after all that and it made my thoughts race.
How much was I reading into this? How wrong was I? And did I want to do something about it?
“Ready to go? It’s almost midnight,” He asked.
I nodded, finishing my drink.
The drive back to my place was quiet and I fiddled with his hand the entire drive. Between that and my constant looking over at him, he definitely knew something was wrong.
“What’s on your mind?” He raised an eyebrow and gave me a quick glance but refocused his eyes back on the road immediately.
“Hmm?”
“You’re being weird. Is it what I said back there? Because I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable,” he gave me his full attention once he pulled up in front of my building.
“No, no, you’re fine,” I squeezed his fingers. “Just a lot on my mind,” I sighed. I looked out at my apartment building next to us and pursed my lips.
Fuck it.
“You—uh—wanna come up?”
There was absolutely no other reason for me to ask that. He had to know why I was asking without me saying it outright.
Right?
My nerves were on fire and my mind raced with all the possibilities he could come back with. Silent, Hotch took a beat to think and reached for the keys in the ignition, “Sure.”
Oh.
I was hyper aware of Aaron’s presence as he followed me upstairs to my apartment door. My hands were practically shaking with anticipation as I fiddled with the keys. Once I was inside, I left the door open for him and heard him lock it behind me. The click cemented my determination on the matter.
“Make yourself at home,” I nodded toward the couch and started flipping lights on. “Want something to drink?”
“I still have to drive,” he declined, his eyes following me to the kitchen.
“You can always stay here,” I reached up into my cabinets for two glasses and poured a drink for myself and a scotch for Hotch.
“Is that so?” His voice rumbled behind me, much closer than he had been a few seconds ago.
When the hell did he sneak up on me?
I turned to face him, finding him far closer than I imagined. I passed him his drink, which he took a tall sip of, and I hurried to catch up.
That sip must have given him the courage he needed because he set the glass back on my counter and took another step forward. His hand found my waist with a light touch. It wasn’t hesitant by any means, but light enough to ask permission to continue. Unlike the nervous movements in his hands earlier, his hands were confident and intentional now.
“Is this okay?”
“—eah,” I struggled to say as my voice got caught in my throat.
Hotch took the glass from my hand and set it behind me, crowding what little space I had left. We were tense with anticipation as we both leaned in, giving each other enough time to back out. His nose brushed mine, then his lips, before he was fully pressed against me. His tongue flicked out making me gasp and open mine wider. My hands slid under his sweater, feeling his warm skin beneath my fingers. We stayed like that; exploring, consuming, devouring until there was a pause between us. The was air heavy with desire and our breathing.
As I caught my breath, I reached back and grabbed my glass, taking the opportunity to throw back the last of the liquid. Aaron did the same, keeping his eyes fixated on the way my lips wrapped around the glass. I left my glass on the counter and took his hand, tugging him toward my bedroom. I heard his glass clatter on the counter as he left it behind in a rush to follow me.
I threw him a look over my shoulder and tugged my top off, throwing it off to the side. Aaron didn’t need to be encouraged anymore further and ripped his hand out of mine to follow suit. Clothes and shoes were haphazardly discarded until there was nothing left between us. I barely had time to sift through my drawer for the essentials before he was grabbing me around the waist and tugging me onto the mattress. His mouth reconnected with mine, his fingers digging into the mattress as his hips ground down against mine.
“Fuck me, please,” I panted as soon as our mouths separated.
“Gladly.”
He blindly reached for the condom I tossed near him. Once he located it, his oversized fingers fumbled with the packaging. The task was eventually accomplished with minimal difficulty and only a couple giggles as he accidentally pinched himself. The laughter eased the butterflies in my stomach, and I hoped this wouldn’t fuck up whatever we had going for us prior to tonight.
Aaron quickly snatched the bottle of lube and coated his fingers generously. As his fingers pressed against my entrance, I whined in anticipation and wriggled my hips to get him moving. I watched his eyes flutter shut as he put more pressure, jaw dropping in concentration as he focused. As soon as his fingers breached, he couldn’t help himself.
I felt the wet heat of his mouth descend on me, his tongue swirling and lips sucking on my overly sensitive skin. I was torn between tilting my head back to enjoy the feeling and wanting to watch his mouth work. I finally decided to look down, my breath catching as I saw his eyes already trained on me through his lashes. His cheeks hollowed ever so slightly as he sucked making me reach to grab his hair for any sort of purchase. The noises that came from him were sinful and I eventually had to pull his head away once I felt myself ready.
“Need you, please,” I pulled him up to me, feeling him pull his fingers out gently.
We were both understandably impatient with the mix of alcohol and lust. He reached for a pillow with his clean hand and stuffed it under my hips for a better angle. With one last pass of lube over the condom, I felt the blunt press of him against me.
“I’ve got you,” his breath stuttered as he guided himself inside slowly.
My fingers dug into his shoulders as he bottomed out before moving down his back and urging him to go. I let out a moan of relief as his hips started moving, rocking into me slowly at first. Without warning, his mouth sealed over mine and swallowed the gasp I let out as he sharply thrusted, hitting exactly where I need him to.
“More,” I mumbled against his lips.
Aaron was efficient, even now, and repeated himself until I was a whining mess underneath him. He sat up, making enough space to slip his hand between us. I clenched involuntarily as his calloused fingers stroked me, bringing me that much closer to release.
“You feel so good,” he panted. “Squeeze me again.”
I do as he asked, squeezing around him each time he pulls out. The groans pulled from his chest only added fuel to the fire and I didn’t know how I ever survived without hearing them. My hands couldn’t stay still, moving from gripping his arms to running across his collarbone and chest.
“I’m gonna come, I—” I had cut myself off by bringing Hotch’s mouth back down to mine.  My muscles tightened as my release washed over me, fingers digging into whatever I can reach while I clenched around the cock still driving inside me.
Aaron removed his hand from between us, doubling down on his efforts to finish himself. His head tucked into my neck, giving me an even better opportunity to hear Aaron’s moans as he reached his orgasm. His hips stuttered as his release pulsed throughout his body, making him tremble in my arms. When he couldn’t handle the overstimulation anymore, he let himself slip out of me.
He let out a deep hum as we caught our breath, pressing one last kiss to my neck before pushing himself up to his feet. He cleaned himself with a grimace with me not far behind, eager to get the slick substance off my skin. I headed straight back to bed, flopping on the slightly sweaty sheets.
I’m too tired to fix that, I decided.
“I meant it, you can stay,” I mumbled in the dark as I heard his movement pause somewhere between the bed and the bathroom. “Don’t need you getting behind the wheel right now.”
“Mm, thanks,” his sleepy voice returned.
The bed dipped beside me and soon the length of his body was pressed against my back.
~
A sharp jolt pulled me out of my deep slumber. Through the haze I finally I heard the piercing ringtone of a phone. It’s not mine, I realized as I listen to it a second longer. The bed shifted next to me and frantic footsteps thudded across my floor as Aaron looked for his phone.
If he ended up with a case, it was going to massively suck for his hungover team.
“Hey, Jess,” he answered in a far less panicked tone than his feet originally suggested. “Uh, yea. Yea, one is good. Okay, see you then.”
He came back into the room with a more relaxed posture than when he left. He sat on the edge of the bed on the side I was still curled up on, watching him move with sleepy eyes.
“Just Jessica letting me know she’s dropping off Jack at my place at one,” he relayed.
A quick glance at the clock let me know it was only 10:00 AM, which wasn’t bad considering the night we had.
Aaron's hand found my ankle through the sheets, letting his hand glide up to my calf and back down. His face was contemplative though not as outwardly noticeable as the way I chewed the inside of my cheek.
He spoke first.
“That was,” he started, letting a smirk spread over his features, “fun.”
“It was. I…wouldn’t mind if it happened again.”
“Me either,” he punctuated with a squeeze of my calf.
There was a comfortable silence for a minute until he spoke up again, “I’m just—I'm not really looking to—.” He stopped and started again, “Since Haley died I—I’m just not...”
He didn’t have to explain to me the fact that his ex-wife slash high school sweetheart being murdered had done a number on his psyche. I didn’t blame him.
“I get it, Aaron. I’m not either. I’m way too busy and—I just don’t want to,” I replied. It wasn’t a total truth, but it also wasn’t a total lie. I was too busy but that didn’t mean I didn’t want to.
For Aaron, though? I would take what he gave me.
He relaxed a little, his eyes a little sad and I wondered if he could see right through me.
I hope he didn’t.
“I should go,” he murmured, leaning forward and pressing a chaste kiss to my cheek while the other side was pressed into my pillow.
When he pulled away, I turned my head to really look at him head on, not expecting him to come back down and kiss me again. This time on my lips, slowly and sensually; a far cry from the desperation last night.  When my eyes opened, he was already up and looking for his clothes.
“I’ll see you next weekend?” I rubbed my hands over my face, sitting up as he gets dressed.
He flashed me a look as if to say “obviously” and threw my discarded top at my face.
“Be careful,” I called after him.
“You, too,” he paused, patting his jeans to make sure all of his belongings were in order. When he was satisfied, he gave me a gentle smile and headed in the direction of my front door.
“Lock the door behind me!” he yelled back before opening the front door and shutting it behind him.
I rolled my eyes and flopped back over onto the bed on my side. I still smelled his scent on my sheets and wondered how I could have thought that this would be a good idea.

You usually grind on his thigh, which is heavenly with his strong muscles that he flexes whilst you move. But he’s definitely noticed your love for his stomach. He’s softened with age and for a long time he wasn’t really sure what he thought about that, until you came along.
You’re always complimenting him and when you cuddle on the couch or in bed you love to nuzzle into his stomach or trace your fingers over it. You’re careful, of course, because of the scars covering his torso. But you hadn’t seen his body yet though because he always kept a tee shirt on, including when you were intimate. He was forever grateful for your patience and acceptance that he wasn’t comfortable showing off his body yet. Although, your unwavering affection makes his confidence swell and one day he goes without a tee shirt when he walks into the bedroom where you were curled up on the bed. It made him almost tearful how loving and affectionate you were, kissing his body until not an inch was left untouched.
He knows you love his body, and he loves to see you grinding on him to get yourself off so he gets an idea he wants to try. And so he prompts you when you’re getting it on one night.
You’re rolling your hips down on his lap, kissing Aaron hungrily, hands pawing at his chest desperately. He pulls back suddenly and you whimper in protest. He chuckles softly and holds onto you whilst he shifts back and lays back against the pillows.
“Honey, I want to try something with you tonight.” He says and you’re immediately intrigued. He smirks at you and gropes at your hips. “I want you to ride me.”
You’re confused because you’ve done that before, but you’re nonetheless still enthusiastic. But as you move to grab his thick cock he gently moves your hands away and beckons you with his finger.
“Slide your hips towards me, angel.” You comply, inching forward a bit but he hums. “Closer.”
You’re practically straddling his soft stomach at this point, then it hits you. Oh fuck. He wants you to ride his stomach. He encourages you when you brace yourself with your hands on his chest and with the first roll of your hips he knows this was a good idea. His cock twitches against his lower abdomen as you begin to ease into it now, humming softly and stroking the soft skin of your thighs with his large hands.
“That’s it, grind on my stomach, honey.”
You’re a mess, overwhelmingly turned on by the whole act. It’s filthy, getting yourself off by humping his stomach but you don’t care. You are emboldened when his hand slides past your thigh to grasp his leaking cock, jerking himself off in time with the roll of your hips. You’re not gonna last, and neither is he but you don’t want to try prolonging the edge, instead increasing your speed until you’re whining his name desperately and your body quivers with pleasure. He slips his thumb into your mouth and coos.
“Gonna cum for me, huh? Go on, cum on my stomach, baby.” He purrs and it takes only a little more grinding before you’re collapsing onto him, your orgasm ripping through you as you dig your fingers into his pecs. Aaron moans your name lowly against your chest and you feel the telltale sign of his own unravelling from the spatters of cum hitting your asscheeks.
You both lay there for a little moment as you calm down, then you slowly slide down over his cock with a grin when he hisses from overstimulation. From between his legs you kiss his thigh and pout slightly.
“I made a mess so I’ve gotta clean you up, Aaron.”
He groans loudly and his head falls back against the pillows in anticipation, a smile forming on his lips.

hey! i love your stuff :)! was wondering if you could maybe do a short fic with hotch where he's interrogating the reader (who is a suspect, but is actually innocent), and the reader politely informs hotch that they're about to faint (they have a fainting condition, like POTS or something). hotch doesn't panic bc he's, well, hotch, but he calls for medical help. meanwhile, reader is just casually lying down on the cold floor of the cell and being really chill waiting to faint, even making conversation. anyway, hotch finds out that the police officers who had arrested the reader had denied them their medicine, and he rips them a new one.
OBVIOUSLY DONT WRITE IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO, I THINK YOU'RE LOVELY AND I DONT WANT TO PRESSURE YOu
have a nice day!
Unexpected Interrogation | [A.H]
Tumblr media
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x gn!reader | WC: 0.9k | CW: Hurt/comfort?, medical condition (POTS), mistreatment by law enforcement, fainting, medication.
A/N: I'm trying a new layout for when I answer requests, I don't know if I'll commit to it, but I like it for now.
Also I don't know anything about POTS or other fainting conditions, so I hope I did it justice - feedback is appriciated.
Tumblr media
Hotch sat across from you, his expression stern and unyielding as he leaned forward in his chair, the dim lighting of the room casting sharp shadows on his face. To any observer, you would seem calm - your hands folded neatly in your lap and eyes focused - but inside, you were already feeling the telltale signs. The tightness in your chest, the lightheadedness creeping in. You’d been here for hours, and now, without your medicine, it was simply a matter of time before you would faint.
"You've been uncooperative since the moment we brought you in," Hotch said, his voice level but carrying the weight of suspicion as he couldn't quite figure out if you were guilty or not. "Tell me why you were at the scene."
You took a slow breath, trying to center yourself. "Agent Hotchner," you said politely, your voice a little too soft for the intensity of the moment. "I understand why I'm here, and I will tell you everything you want to know, but I think I should let you know… I'm about to faint."
He blinked, his gaze sharpening but not a trace of panic crossing his face. If anything, his brows furrowed, a mixture of confusion and concern settling in his expression. "You're about to faint?"
"Yeah," you nodded, shifting slightly in your seat, trying to ignore the swimming sensation behind your eyes. "I have a fainting condition - it's called POTS. Normally, I’d take medicine, but..." You gave a tired shrug. "The officers who arrested me didn’t let me have it."
The tension in the room shifted. Hotch leaned back slightly, the gears in his mind already turning. He wasn’t a man to panic, even in strange situations. He pressed a button on the desk to signal for help, keeping his eyes on you. "I’ll get a medic in here."
You offered him a small smile. "Thanks, but it’s cool. Happens all the time. I’ll just… lie down." Without waiting for a response, you eased yourself off the chair - thankful that you weren't cuffed to the table - and laid flat on the cold tiled floor, your head resting on your arms as if this was the most natural thing in the world. The coolness of the floor helped somewhat, but your vision was already narrowing at the edges.
Hotch stood, watching you for a moment before kneeling next to you, his tone softened slightly. "How long have you been without your medication?"
You glanced at him from your place on the floor, blinking slowly. "Since they arrested me… hours ago? Honestly, it could be worse. But you know, fainting isn’t great for clearing one’s name." You chuckled lightly, trying to make the best of the situation, though it quickly turned into a weary sigh. "I’m innocent, by the way."
He didn't respond to that directly, but there was a flicker in his eyes, something acknowledging the injustice of your situation. "How often does this happen?"
"Often enough that I’m pretty used to it," you said casually, your breath slowing as the dizziness increased. "But hey... it gives me an excuse to lie down on the job, right?"
A small smile tugged at the corner of Hotch’s mouth - just for a moment - but then his professional mask slipped back into place. "Don’t talk. Just focus on staying calm."
You hummed in agreement, though your vision was blurring fast. "I’ll be out soon, but when I wake up, I’d love to continue this conversation. I mean, I know I’m innocent, but it would be great to convince you of that too."
He gave a short nod. "We’ll get to that. First, let’s get you taken care of."
Moments later, the medics arrived, rushing into the room with a stretcher and medical kit. But Hotch didn’t leave your side, ensuring they knew about your condition, making sure they were doing everything right. As they checked your vitals and prepared to move you, you started to fade, your words becoming slow and drowsy. "Thanks, agent… you’re not as intimidating as I thought you’d be."
The medic smiled at that, while Hotch’s lips pressed into a thin line, the smallest hint of amusement in his eyes. But once you were being taken care of, Hotch’s focus shifted back to the situation that had led to this. The officers who had arrested you. The ones who had denied you your medication.
Minutes later, Hotch found the officers outside the room, his demeanor stone cold. “Which one of you denied the suspect their medication?”
One of the officers, a tall man with a smug expression, stepped forward. “We didn’t think it was relevant. They didn’t say it was urgent.”
Hotch’s eyes darkened, his voice dropping to a low tone. “Didn’t think it was relevant? You’re lucky they’re stable, or you’d be facing a lawsuit at the very least.” He took a step closer, towering over the man. “You do not withhold medical treatment from anyone in custody. I don’t care if they’re a suspect, a witness, or guilty. Do you understand?”
The officer faltered, clearly not expecting the sharp reprimand. “Y-yes, sir.”
“I’ll be filing a report about this. You’ve jeopardized a life today. If I ever hear of anything of the sort again, you’ll be out of a job.” Hotch didn’t wait for a response, turning on his heel and heading back toward the interrogation room. There were few things that set him off more than mistreatment, especially under his watch.
He returned just as the medics were finishing up. You were still unconscious, but stable. Hotch stood by the door for a moment, watching as they prepared to transport you, his expression unreadable.
Innocent or not, he was going to make sure you were treated right.

tickled pink ✩ aaron hotchner
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌸 - synopsis. Aaron shows up to work in a pink (!!!!!!!!!!!?????) tie.
Tumblr media
“Uhh, Hotch? Are you feeling… okay?”
Derek’s question caught Aaron off guard. “I feel fine. What’s wrong?”
Emily’s eyebrows shot up. “Are you having a stroke? Reid, what are symptoms of a heart attack? I think you had one this morning,” she tells him, waving Spencer over.
“What? Absolutely not. I’m completely fine,” Hotch dissmisses the team’s retorts with a wave of his hand. “Why do you think there’s something wrong?”
“You- of all people- are wearing pink,” Spencer informs him.
“Oh.” Hotch looks down at his light pink tie with a soft, indecipherable smile. “Yes. I didn’t think you’d notice.” (Emily crosses her arms, Spencer’s mouth drops open, and Derek scoffs- all offended beyond comprehension.) “I felt like wearing it, is all.”
“Someone needs to keep an eye on him,” Emily murmurs. “I think he’s lost it this time.”
“Unbelievable,” Derek agrees.
“We’ll have to tell y/n he’s being weird,” Emily schemes out loud. “Maybe she’ll come
Spencer shrugs. “Maybe he really just felt like wearing it.”
Derek and Emily exchange glances before bursting out in laughter and walking back over to their desks- leaving Spencer’s eyebrows knitted in confusion and accusatory eyes switching from Emily to Derek.
Tumblr media
Hotch- now in his office- scrolls through the ultrasound pictures on his phone. The day before was the appointment you and Aaron had been informed the gender of your baby. The only one that knew you were pregnant was Rossi- who had helped schedule the ultrasound as early as humanly possible.
He was just about to put his phone down when he saw ‘Wife ❤️’ messaged him. He turned to look down at the bullpen, where his team was currently joking around. With a contentedly full heart, Aaron turns his attention back to the text where his pretty wife tells him that Jack wants pasta for dinner.

you waste your time on daft pretty boys
in which spencer reid is so smart, but he's so dumb!
Tumblr media
if you had a quarter for every time you tried flirting with spencer reid and he obliviously rebuffed your attempts, you'd have enough money to buy a yacht.
at first, it started with you innocently brushing his arm when you had to walk past him. you'd make eye contact with him across the room. he thought nothing of it.
and then you purposely wore a pair of shoes that were practically falling apart, all so you could fall into his arms and bat your eyelashes at him as he caught you. he caught you, but he immediately set you back on your feet, almost as if he was afraid to touch you for more than a second.
"you should be more careful," he laughed, somehow still completely clueless to the fact that you were putting the moves on him.
Tumblr media
"i mean, i don't get it! i've been flirting with him all week, and nothing! why isn't he just taking the hint?" you complained to morgan as you slumped down in your cubicle.
spencer being late only ever happened once in a blue moon, but he was late today. and you needed to take full advantage of his absence to pester morgan for advice.
"honestly, you're wasting your time here. if you're not going to be direct with him, he'll never get the hint. the kid's like a robot," morgan shrugged, twirling his pen in the air.
"it's true," prentiss agreed as she walked by, overhearing your conversation. "his iq gets slashed to nothing when it comes to romance. you need to be upfront with him."
"but it's so embarrassing!" you whined, dropping your head on your desk with defeat. "what if he rejects me?"
"the answer's always gonna be no if you never ask," prentiss raised her eyebrows at you knowingly.
you groaned dramatically at her words, weakly slapping your desk a few times to further express your point. "fine, but if he rejects me, i'm changing my name and moving to costa rica. i'll start a new life, and you'll never see me again!" you threaten them both, pointing your index finger at them.
"yeah, yeah," morgan smirked smugly, interlacing his hands behind his head as he leaned back.
"shut up, baldie!" you retorted, just because you had to get the last word in.
Tumblr media
"so...spencer," you say awkwardly, standing over his cubicle. everyone except hotch had gone home, and you two were the only ones still working in the bullpen.
"yeah?" his smile was so sweet and so welcoming, but it had never intimidated you before the way it does now.
"um, okay. so basically morgan and prentiss were telling me to be upfront with you because i've been flirting with you like, this whole week, and you haven't gotten the hint yet. spencer, i think you're a great guy, and i really like being around you. do you maybe...want to go out sometime? as a date?" you rambled nervously, feeling a hot blush creep up your cheeks.
you watched spencer fumble for words for what seemed like hours. his mouth parted, then it closed again. he just blinked at you, a little squeaking noise coming out of his mouth as he blushed red, from his neck to the tips of his ears.
"y-yeah, i'd like that! l-like, a lot!" he squeaked, turning a lovely shade of fire engine red. "w-we could w-watch um, a movie! does f-friday work? c-cool, okay!"
he dashed off before you could say anything, but friday did work for you, so you just stood there in disbelief.
"yeah, cool, okay..." you echoed, a giddy smile on your face.

Bring your little to work day
Request (by @eviebuggg): I wanted to request a CG!Hotch x little!reader where the reader comes along to work at the BAU with him (could be for the day, having being busy and bringing them along)! Meeting the other agents and all that ^^ maybe the reader takes an interest in wanting to see what he does (and they try to keep the gruesome pictures away lol!)
CG!Hotch x university!little!reader + BAU team
Summary: Hotch takes you to work with him.
Genre: Fluff (?)
Length: Around 1.5k
A/N: Loved the idea. Cannot say that I love the outcome. Y/N has been used. The reader is a university-going kid. Gender is unspecified.
Hotch had made a nice peaceful morning routine for you that you followed every morning. If you woke up with him, you would quietly follow him around as he made breakfast, otherwise he would wake you up after he made and ate the breakfast himself. This was followed by getting you and himself ready to leave the house. Usually, he would drop you off at your university on his way to work.
But not today. Today was different and you were buzzing with energy which also made the entire morning much more chaotic.
Today was bring your little to work day. This means, you would be going to the BAU with your daddy and you were so excited. Other than JJ being a little herself, who would be bringing her caregiver Will to work, only your Aunt Penny had a little, although he was away for work. So you and JJ were going to be the only littles in today.
“All right. That’s enough.” Hotch said with a stern look as he put the clothes in his hands back into the wardrobe. “If you can’t choose something, I will.”
“But daddy! You said I could choose!” You stomped your foot lightly, pouting at the stern look.
“Yes, but we have a time limit and you can’t seem to be able to choose anything.” Hotch gives you a pointed look, making you deflate a little. He sighs, “How about your favorite teddy hoodie and jeans?”
You nod quickly, “Yes please.”
Hotch kisses your forehead, making you smile, before helping you change.
“Alright, go wait downstairs.” Hotch nudges you towards the door before turning around to change himself. You flop on the couch as soon as you get to the living room, still sleepy from the late night you had because of assignments and studying for upcoming tests.
About 15 minutes later, you were leaving the parking garage of your apartment building, sitting next to Hotch for once as he drove. The ride was filled with music and singing, with Hotch joining in every once in a while on your insistence.
Hotch had to threaten you with the harness before he even parked the car as you tried to open the door before he was done parking the car. The threat did its job and you kept quiet and waited for your daddy to open the door for you.
However, as soon as you walked into the bullpen, you were running over to the group of agents standing around Spencer’s desk.
“Uncle Spencer! Uncle Morgan!” You squealed, just happy to be meeting everyone after weeks.
Spencer was quick to get out of the chair and pick you up before Derek even had a chance to do it. Both of them still grinned, showering you with compliments and questions about how you were doing. Emily and Penelope weren’t far behind, trying to take you away from the guys. But everyone stopped when they heard someone clear their throat, looking towards Hotch, who was standing there with his and your bag, a stern look on his face.
“Y/n.” That one word was enough for Spencer to put you down on your feet again and for you to look down and avoid eye contact. “What’s rule number one when leaving home?”
“No running away…” You mumble, still not looking up.
Hotch comes closer, lifting your chin to meet your gaze, “And what did you do as soon as the elevator doors opened?”
“Run off…” You sigh, knowing you might be in trouble, and for good reason.
“This is your final warning. If you run off or try to run off again, the harness is going on.” Hotch let go of your face, kissing your forehead as if it would soothe the stern tone of his warning. Not going to lie, it did.
“Yes, daddy.” You nod quickly, not wanting to get in trouble and especially not wanting the harness.
“Harness?” Derek asked, making you pout and hug your daddy, burying your face in his chest for comfort.
“Yeah, I got her one of those kids harness thingys. She kept running off whenever we were at the park and I just had enough.” Hotch shrugs, rubbing your back gently to help you stay calm.
“Ah…That’s a good idea. Although, considering you are using it as a threat means she doesn’t like it?” You heard Spencer.
“Not one bit.” You replied, burying your face further into Hotch’s chest, making him chuckle while the others laughed or smiled.
The rest of the morning was spent with the others working at their desks and you in Hotch’s office, helping him with delivering files when you were playing games on your phone or sitting in Hotch’s lap, just cuddling him.
Derek took you to McDonald’s to get lunch for everyone, and the entire ride was spent singing loudly. And after the amazing lunch, it was time for your nap time and you were quick to claim your daddy’s lap as your napping spot. Hotch couldn’t help but smile at this, loving the cuddles.
However, when you woke up, you were alone in his office, on the couch with a throw blanket covering you. A quick peek outside the window confirmed that the others were in the room with the round table. You took a moment to think about what to do before making your way to the room with the round table, using your blanket to cover you, wanting to see what their work was like.
You tried to be sneaky as you stood outside the room for a bit and tried to listen in but that failed soon enough for a couple of reasons. First, you couldn’t really understand much in your little mindset, and second, the door was opened by your daddy who was looking at you with a raised eyebrow.
“Hi daddy…” You gave Hotch the most innocent look you could muster, making him shake his head with the chuckle.
“No more eavesdropping little one.” Hotch says as he lets you in, guiding you to one of the chairs on the side of the room.
“Wanna see what you do daddy!” You wiggle, excited again.
“Yes, and you can sit there,” Hotch gave you a pointed look, making it clear you were to stay on the chair, “and listen to us discuss the case.”
“Okay!” You squeaked, wiggling a little in your seat.
The team proceeded to discuss the case, however, there was nothing on the big screen and everyone kept looking at their tablets while talking in more advanced vocabulary so you wouldn’t be able to keep up.
This made you frustrated about not understanding and curious about what they were looking at. You chose to stick to the curiosity as you slowly rolled your chair closer to the table, trying to peek at the tablets.
However, your plan failed as Hotch turned the tablet away at the last second, not letting you get a chance to see the tablet, making you whine before you saw the pointed look you were getting. You spent the rest of your time in that room facing the corner.
Thankfully, you were let out after the meeting ended and the others returned to their desks with Hotch taking you back to his office. However, you ended up in the bullpen after a bit as you got bored of staying in the office while Hotch was in an online meeting.
It didn’t take long for the bullpen to turn into chaos as you kept trying to look into files and the others kept taking them away, trying to keep the gruesome pictures away from your innocent gaze. It only stopped after Rossi came out of his office and threatened you with the corner and told your daddy on you, making you pout.
The rest of the work day was spent with you being entertained with different magic tricks that Spencer knew and trying to make a mug cake in the break room microwave with Derek and Emily. Penelope gave you a lollipop before she left to pick up her little one from the airport. JJ and Will left not long after Rossi stopped you from looking in files.
“Y/n. Spencer.” Hotch called out, stepping out of his office, and making the two of you look up. “Spencer, I’ve told you not to do those tricks here. That rocket thing could hurt someone.”
“Sorry Hotch.” Spencer shot Hotch with a sheepish smile.
“And Y/n, come on, you need to pack up your things so we can go home.” Hotch prompted, making you pout as you went up the step, dragging your feet.
You were all packed up and ready to go home in about 10 minutes, letting Hotch carry your bag as you went around the bullpen, giving goodbye hugs to everyone. Derek picked you up as you hugged him, turning away from Hotch.
“I’m kidnapping her Hotch!” Derek exclaimed, tickling you a little, making you squeal and giggle.
“Absolutely not. Give me my baby Derek.” Hotch spoke with a fake stern tone. “Before you end up having to do reports from everyone while we have a dinner at Rossi’s.”
Derek was quick to turn back around and put you to your feet near Hotch at the threat, making you giggle and the others laugh and encourage him to kidnap you.
After a few more hugs, you were back on your way home, falling asleep in the car with a single thought in mind.
Daddy’s work is so fun, I need to hang out there more.

for the princess treatment request/headcanons, just something w him cooking your favorite dish from scratch and being soo shy when you try to film him to show your friends What A Good Boyfriend he is
“What are you doing?” Aaron chuckled, watching you walk around him with the camera of your phone pointing at him.
You didn’t reply; it was hard to concentrate on his words when you were trying to film his arms in all their glory.
The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up, exposing his forearms, and his hands were kneading a large piece dough that would soon turn into delicious pasta. You didn’t know what to drool about first.
“Taking a video of you,” you finally replied to his question, taking a step back so the camera could give its attention to his back and shoulders.
“That I can tell. Why?”
“So I can send it to my friends,” you said.
“What?”
“I gotta show my friends how much my boyfriend likes to spoil me. And how sexy he looks doing it.”
“Stop,” he said, and his laugh made his dimples appear. You had no choice but to zoom in on his face.
“Look at his dimples,” you whispered for the video.
“I can hear you,” he murmured back.
“So? It’s not a secret.”
He only shook his head, his pretty smile not leaving his face yet. You could see him blushing, and the butterflies in your stomach multiplied.
But no matter how delicious he looked all shy and embarrassed, you didn’t wanna torture him any further. You sent the video to your friends and put your phone away.
“You send many videos of me to your friends?”
“Only the naughty ones,” you smirked.
Aaron put the dough down and brought his hands to your sides so he could tickle you.
“Aaron! I’m kidding!”
“Come here,” he said, and trapped you between his arms with your back against the kitchen counter. “Is this the thanks I get for cooking your favorite dinner?”
“Nope,” you grinned. “I have other plans about your reward.”
“Such as?” he asked, leaning in to give you a kiss.
“Hm…What if I gave you a preview now?” you said, and brought his lips on yours.

It was obvious. Painfully obvious. And he totally thought he was getting away with it.
Sitting around on the jet coming back home from a case, much of the team was asleep. Though, they’d noticed on this case. And the last one. And the one before that: Hotch had it bad.
The singular person who didn’t seem to notice was you.
You sat by the window, looking out over the cloudy sky as you zoomed through the air back home. Everyone else was either sleeping or lost in their own world. Except for Hotch. He sat down in front of you, pushing a mug of your favorite tea towards you.
You smiled when you saw it, then you smiled at him.
“Thanks,” you said quietly, picking it up and sipping at the still-too-hot liquid.
“Any time,” he replied, even quieter with a small smile in return. Only he didn’t look away.
After a moment of staring out the window again, now with a warm mug in your hands, you looked back at him. Your smile only spread when you saw that dopey look on his face.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” you asked softly.
His eyes widened briefly as he finally looked away.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he mumbled, looking uncharacteristically shy.
Finally, even you figured it out. Your heart beat a little faster at the idea, and you bit back a grin. You fell silent for a minute, then glanced back at him.
“It’s okay. I stare sometimes, too, when you’re not paying attention.”
The ghost of a smile hit his lips.
