Pangya Celebrity Refresh Rumor

With Pangya Celebrity support or lack thereof, Pangya Celebrity was a dead game. I mean, you can still play it, but you will need fiends if you plan on getting the game from the site. Join their Discord, you may find someone who wants to play.

So what now? I thought I was done talking about about GM_Don and GM_Leia and Pangya Celebrity since they nuked their Twitch.tv of all their vods and clips. For some reason, As of 1/15/19, their video titled "KHII Clubset Teaser" is still up on the channel, for some reason..

Would think if you are going to delete all of your vods/streams and Twitch.tv clips, you would delete your videos..

The Team? Is pretty vauge here but I have a Idea. So not too long ago, I was in a call with some people and while playing Pangya Debug, someone mentioned "Pangya Celebrity Refresh" so this is just a rumor but It could be true.

I would i imagine that it will be Pangya Celebrity but with everything that made Pangya freshup,  Pangya Global.. And this is nice, if it is true. I have some Issues. If the team who hosted the private server are behind this project... I hope they don't fuck it up like they did with Pangya C or Pangya Celebrity.

Again, it's fine to donate to keep a server up and going but when you start to lock things behind a paywall (Events, gear, points), then I feel that is too far. Cause again, this is a private server, and I doubt they have the rights for most of this stuff.

But that doesn't really matter since the fans like to pay for this kind of thing. I hope we don't have any more dumb moves with this project.

Again, this is a rumor that may or may not be true. And it's a new year. So I am willing to see if GM_Don and GM_Leia can run this new project better. But I hope they prove me wrong. I don't know who is working on this big project, have to wait and see, I guess.

This was a interesting rumor, and if it is true. I will give the game a go, may even stream it. Assuming they don't do the same thing that Pangya Debug had. Pangya Debug at one point had a bitcoin miner that ran with the game. My friend said it had one.

I can only hope that Pangya Celebrity Refresh or the new project does not have any bitcoin miner or you can say goodbye to a lot of trust. I'm sure they are not stupid...Right?

New thoughts on Pangya Celebrity

So. Pangya Celebrity has their sub button and oh boy... OH BOY. Where to begin. I have said before things could happen or they may lose sight of their goal. Like I said before, Pangya Celebrity is running on a private server, so if you are new here, you can think of this as a fan project made with "love"

For my new viewers

Like with any fan projects that use Private servers to host games that got shut down, Money will be needed to keep said server or servers up and running. As an upcoming game dev, I can understand the need to have money to keep a project going and some extra money to pay bills...BUT There is earning money to keep a project up and running for all to enjoy and of course, there is being greedy bastards who want more money than needed. Which I feel this is the path they are on.

You can help pay for the server by 3 ways

Donating

Subscribing to their twitch stream

Giving them Twitch bits

I would say 4 ways but they don't have a big viewer base. The other way would be to watch an ad on stream, assume you don't have any adblocking add-ons when they play a add.

So, you might ask, "What is the problem?" So once they got the Sub button on twitch. things started to go downhill imo.

So the "Brains" Or lack of "GM_Leia" had the GREAT IDEA of raising the cost of cookies. Stupid name, again, If you are new, I will get you up to speed. Cookies are earned in the stream by watching Pangya Celebrity go live.

Cookies are earned for each min you stay in the stream. You earn 1 cookie, per min and that doesn't sound so bad till what the rewards look like before

This is before they got the sub button. It is not that bad of rewards. I think it is fair.

Then we get to the point where they got a sub button.

Again. The "brains" or the leader of the pack is "GM_Leia" She felt that people are earning too many points from each stream. And I would be fine with this change if they stream longer which would justify the change,

Think of cookies as a way for people who want points but can't donate or sub or give bits, Watching the stream is the next best thing but what GM_leia is doing, kinda feels like she is just fucking over the small guys.

And I know or feel that GM_Donmyth just goes along whatever GM_Leia does is pretty damn sad. I get that Leia is your boss DonMyth but there is a point you need to ask yourself, is this right? is this fair?

A lack of communication is an another problem, any change big or small should be told. Tell us the reason why you are changing this or that instead of keeping us in the dark When we have to ask GM_DonMyth. You can argue that we can always ask, but if you change anything and don't tell your players, that's bad.

I know I was talking how they don't stream long enough. So when they, you have to wait for them to set up the stream, play the intro/outro video then got to wait for 30 mins, more or less when talking to chat and then they do the event.

After the event, they will do a VIP where they make a room but end the stream there. I like to call this room, the "Pay to play" And this is where I really feel that DonMyth and Leia SHOULD NOT HAVE Partnership cause it's not getting put to good use.

If anything it gives off the vibe that if you pay / Donate, then you might get more out of Pangya Celebrity which turns me off and I hate that where some fan projects turn from giving to the people to just taking.

But sadly that really does not matter one bit, for the fact that Leia and DonMyth have people who I am sure, have people who donate for VIP or have people who would be happy to sub to their channel in a heartbeat.

Those who sub to their channel will get bonus treats

If you ever plan to do a Pangya giveaway, you would have a better chance of being happy than winning a giveaway, but hey, try anyway. You may win but I doubt it. subscribers or non-subscribers. Your luck is the same either way.

By extra Luck, I would assume they would be more likely to pick you as a subscriber if, that is true and I feel like it is. That is unfair and pure Bull Shit, but they're vague here about that, so I don't know but we may never know.

The only thing I can say that could justify being a Pangya Celebrity Subscriber is the in-game Content, but even that is questionable at times because again, I don't know the whole rules on Private servers and people using work around i.e (Donations and subscribers) to be members.

I find it iffy and shady. But oh well. As long as they have Donations, subscribers. They are going to keep doing what they are doing.

Funny, they were on the bottom but then people came in and helped the stream by watching and following and those donated really helped them out. Them being DonMyth and Leia.

But they are slowing fucking up.

Will they keep doing what they are doing?

Yes, So long as people donate or subscribe to their channel, Pangya Celebrity They don't have a reason to stop.

Are they greedy?

Yes, I feel they lost sight of their goal. Money can corrupt anyone with a weak mind. Assuming Leia had one, to begin with. I just feel that or know when money gets added into a project, most of the time money becomes the main goal. And it's sad.

These are opinions but oh well. My friends or My acquaintances will keep playing Pangya Celebrity and that is fine. They enjoy the game, more or less. But for me, this kinda puts the final nail in the coffin for me.

No matter who or what. When Money, fame, power, of any sort, gets added into the mix, it can ruin things or change things for the worse.

I like Pangya Celebrity, but I am not happy with the current Management as of late. If you read this post then I am sure you can see I am not fond of the changes.

I mean, I will still play Pangya Celebrity with friends or randoms or during a GM event but that's it. I still have fun playing the game, somewhat.

Gave Pangya Debug one last go

Oh man. Time to talk about Pangya Debug. Oh boy. I never knew a game could piss me off with it’s problems mainly the server disconnecting or the game crashing while in a session. Like holy shit. I have never been so pissed off at a game on this level.

So, I said I quit Pangya Debug and that post was like 10 Months ago when I said that but my friend drax told me that Pangya debug is not dead but rather no one plays pangya debug in our group anymore, counting me.

I was stupid, a few nights ago I heard Pangya Debug got a good number of updates, and I gave Pangya Debug a last chance, a new start to give me good impressions of the game...

What a shit show this was. Network errors, Errors when changing servers, game crashing or network during a session with friends.

I have been left with anything but good impressions, and to me, it feels like the problems I had with the game somehow got worse? I’m sorry but if I was done with Pangya Debug prior to playing it now. I can say Pangya Debug has ruined my fun..

I have said this before and I will say it again. Pangya global fresh up and Pangya Celebrity were the only Pangya games that I had really put a lot of time into, hell, I was bad at the game but at least they were more stable.

Pangya Debug feels like a crapshoot to me. It’s never a matter of if the game will crash or network error but when? I hate the fact that me having fun is a crapshoot. Can we play without the game crashing and have fun? It’s hard to get into a game because the moment you get invested into the game session, the game errors or crashes.

I learned that I value my time when it comes to playing games and I used to deal with this shit but I got to a point where I refuse to put up with bullshit. That’s me tho. There are people who can put up with this and more power to you.

Bottom line is that I gave Pangya Debug one last good try and I was greeted with server errors that are still there and game crashing bugs. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Sigh. I can not be bothered to deal with this game anymore.

I can deal with a lot of things but this ain’t one of them.

Sorry for the rant. Wanted to vent about Pangya Debug. I mean, as much shit I gave GM_Leia and GM_Don on how they managed their private server and streams, they at least had a somewhat more stable Pangya private server, it did have its share of problems but not to the scale of Pangya Debug.

I don’t agree with them and hearing that their Discord is a no talk zone unless you add verify your phone number to speak in this server. But this is word of mouth and have not seen the server in question but don’t plan to, if I’m honest.

Thoughts on Pangya celebrity big announcement

So from the last stream of Pangya celebrity stream, there was "big news" that took 1 hour and 4 mins and 20 seconds. Or if you want to be PC here... It was at the 1 Hour, 4 mins, 30 seconds, mark, where the big news or big announcement was said on stream... Oh Boy (O.B)

Hello there boys and girls, Sonik here from Pangya Sunny C land to bring my thoughts into this matters, And those Opinions too... I'm ready

So the big announcement was so important was that twitch sub was going to be added to Pangya celebrity stream soon, which is great and all.. but I should bring up some things for while I think they went after the sub button.

As you know or those who go to the Pangya celebrity streams will know that in their bio will say the following:

"Donations are purely optional if you decide you want to help contribute to the stream. As you know GM_Leia doesn't have a real job other than Pangya. Donations go to helping keep the server alive and keep the streams going."

So Donations are purely optional but at the same time they do help with the server costs but my guess is Donations have been slow to barely few, here and there. I am sure other game mods are helping to pay for the server cost.

So, my guess is that they are aiming for Twitch sub, so they can make some money to keep the server up and running while adding more space for future updates and future content and more room for more players.

Getting a Twitch sub is cheaper than donating but then you might say: "Where is the problem in this?" For new channels or just regular channels, their sub price is set to "$4.99"

Twitch will get half for each sub, I believe and you will get half which may be $3 or $2 dollars and they can earn 3$ for every 1000 non-sub non-adblock 3-minute ad watched.

As you can see, a twitch sub is more useful when a streamer can bring in 1k or 3k users when means you have a better chance at getting more subs/donations but I think that is rude of me to count out the Pangya stream.

Ok, when Pangya goes live, they can get 100 + viewers but nowhere enough to get money from ads, in this early stage of twitch sub. At this point, they need to rely on Donations till they can bring in more than 100 + viewers.

Now they can add rewards for twitch subs and for those who do sub, Get VIP, twitch perks for Pangya, beta test out courses. That could give people a reason to sub or give people another reason to donate via twitch subs.

Though I feel the Pangya server can somewhat live off of the twitch subs if they get a good number but however once the game starts to pick up speed and get to Pangya on to a new season, you will need more room and then at that point, things will start to become a bit much.

I feel at that point they will have to rely on donations from fans and game mods to chip in to help with server cost and not to mention that the fans and game mods have their lives, so I'm sure paying bills and dealing with life is a must then Pangya will be dealt with after.

There is one more thing they will have to do and that is to stay relevant in the twitch scene if they want to make money from twitch subs and unless you have the hardcore fans, you will need to stream longer than 1 - 2 hours.

And you are a partner so you will need to have longer streams, in the 4 to 8 hours to bring in the new users and spread the word of mouth about the stream to keep it afloat in the twitch sea or give it a fighting chance.

Now let's get into the "What if" area as to what if this could or may happen.

1 Let's get this one out the way. Private servers to me always seem shady and sometimes iffy, say if you pay for something that cost 20 Dollars, then the next week. The server just up and left. I know not everyone has this mindset as I do but if that did happen, oh well.

2 A C&D that may be given after a point in time. after adding in content there may be a line that when cross, they may be given a C&D to shut down the server. Some Private servers can be free to do what they want but that can vary from game to game.

3 If the Pangya celebrity dev team gets greedy and tries to do more pay to use items or finds a way to get more money out of people, with items or events that will require money or you to donate or be a twitch sub.

4 One person being a pessimist that Pangya celebrity will or may go out the way that Pangya fresh up went up cause they have twitch sub. I won't name this person.

I guess all I can say here is Pangya celebrity, nice work on getting twitch sub, though it would be far more useful if you got twitch sub when you can pull in maybe 500 + or 1k viewers but hey to each their own.

If Pangya celebrity is somehow still here and not taken down, I will keep playing till I get sick of Pangya celebrity or just get burned out but IF in the future, it gets taken down, then you had an ok run but it was not meant to be.

But that's it really... Oh, wait. GM_Leia, I'm sorry but she knows how to stream but DAMN SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO KEEP HER MIC FROM PEAKING SHE YELLS OR SHRIEK

But ONCE SHE Fixes HER MIC FROM PEAKING SHE YELLS OR SHRIEK THE STREAM WILL BE FUN TO WATCH AND I WON'T HAVE TO MUTE HER.

Now you got Twitch sub button, that means you better not kill your potential subs ears or they will mute the stream or leave if it gets bad.

But that is all I have to say on this matter and I guess now is to see where this will go. What is the fate of Pangya celebrity, Pangya C, PC?

Final Pangya Celebrity post

So, it has been a long while since I played Pangya Celebrity, I wonder if the game has got any new updates or a new thing coming.

Oh… “Nothing has changed” Well, I’m sure after logging in. maybe there is a new update. I mean, I have not played in a bit. but I want to see what is up.

Oh… It’s like that. Sigh. It was bound to happen, I guess. Granted, I stopped playing Pangya Celebrity as I got over it. I didn’t like how the game was being managed by people who had bad ideas.

Pangya Celebrity WAS an active game that was hosted on a private server and it was pretty fun. The server was stable for the most part and you could play anime golf with friends and it was a good time. This server was hosted by GM_Leia and GM_Don

It’s a shame. Even with GM_Leia and GM_Don’s Questionable changes to the game. The game was fun nevertheless, and it was a great time, for the most part.

But now that Pangya Celebrity support has ended. Pretty much, the game is dead. and I have something to say about that. Since it is dead, they are saying “The game is dead but we hope that you will support our next big project” It really does bug me.

1 The fact that they had a big viewer base to get partnered on twitch, and to throw that away. Their whole channel was their job or rather, it was GM_Leia’s job was kinda stupid but whatever. As I am making this post, I have no idea if they are still streaming to Twitch or if the channel is defunct at this point.

2 it feels like you got enough money and said “fuck it” I do not know if this is the case (It’s not) Like to go out of your way to get partnered to get subs and bits, and adding a donate button to your twitch page and coins you can buy with real cash. It’s all optional but it helped to pay for the server cost but something about it rubbed me the wrong way.

The fact that this was a private server that was “making money” off of their fans that willingly spent money on an unofficial server is a gray area..It’s fine as long as the money is being used to pay for the server but it’s still a gray area thing.

Overall, I Wish GM_Don and GM_Leia good luck on future projects, until one of them screws up big, which is, not that hard. I can say that they left a poor impression on me. More so GM_Leia, But I will leave it at that.

This is why I am not a big fan of unofficial private servers, cause they can end support for the game or fuck up shit or get greedy.. >_> I have no need to play Pangya on a private server, anymore. Not worth it.

But that’s all I wanted to say on Pangya Celebrity.
