Comeback promotions.

BRIEFING:

Jewel Box moves forth with their promotions for SURREAL, still showing strength in the charts even as they delve into their third week since the release. Aside from the usual TV shows and previously recorded variety programs, the group is set to join anti and the rookies Cherry Bomb in the studio to film a promotional video accompanying the song the two bands recorded for a Samsung advertisement campaign.

After a successful ticketing that sold out all seats in less than ten minutes, the HEX members are now focusing on final preparations for their concert in the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, taking place on August 4th--6th. With all of the new routines for the setlist learned, they now practice the sets on the venue, with a full body of backdancers, tidying up the loose ends to deliver a solid performance for their anticipating crop of fans.

CHERRY BOMB

STATUS:

Debut post-production.

BRIEFING:

The soon-to-debut trainees are possibly the act doing the longest hours under the Nebula seal right now. Debut promotions are well known to be colossal, but Cherry Bomb marks yet another record for the entire company, as they participate in variety and publicity campaigns even before the public has had time to learn their names. Aside from filming a music video with labelmates Jewel Box and anti for a Samsung ad campaign, they’re also finishing rehearsals for their debut showcase, which has been set for July 25th, when they will perform the three singles in their first extended play, marking their first public appearance as a debuted group.

Wrapping up the recording for the songs in their next full-length release, ATLAS prepares to to shoot the music video for their main single. Half of it will take place in a studio in Mapo gu, in Seoul, and the other half in the Gamcheon Village, in Busan. Along with the music video, the group will be holding the jacket album and teasers photoshoot in both locations, wrapping it all up in time for the release of their upcoming album in August.

The girls will take a brief break from their new album preparations, though, to read to the studio and shoot the promotional Samsung campaign video alongside Jewel Box and Cherry Bomb.

To maintain their trademark, they welcome fans and passersby alike in a short guerilla live in Yeouido as part of the company’s charity campaign in partnership with UNICEF.

wrapping up their comeback with surreal at the beginning of august, jewel box is currently moving onto new schedules that include the meetings for their next concert. after a huge success with their previous asian tours, they’re currently trying to score a worldwide tour, including those in the continents of europe, australia, and america. they’re also shooting a lot of vcr’s to prepare the concepts of this concert, robbing the attention of their loyal followers, making them wonder what’s being planned behind the curtain.

post-concert euphoria has left the fans begging for more, and there’s no rest for a group like hex, with their currently being on the summit of their popularity. with the scandals dying down, the fans who previously planned on leaving the fandom have started accepting hex back, as shown by the increasing number of fancafe members. currently, hex is in reading session for their demos, preparing for their next comeback, scheduled to happen somewhere at the end of this year. the concept is called “the phantom”, which follows the story of phantom of the opera.

in spite of being a very new group, cherry bomb proves that nebula galaxy’s brand plays a huge role in deciding a rookie group’s fate. just within the weeks of their debut, they’ve gained a huge number of followings, with their fanchants prepared for each performance. it’s rumored that nebula has started with producing their merchandise and considering the fanbase name. their first win also causes a huge surprise in the industry, seeing that it’s only a few weeks into their debut. they will be continuing their promotion until the end of august.

their teasers are released prior to the ending of jewel box’s promotions, marking nebula’s new era of comeback with their mini album and title track “stay”. it’s a song about heartbreak, which causes some speculations amidst fans considering the fact that atlas’ members helped the productions of the songs. their feature for the next week’s comeback in various music shows’ screens is enough to gather cheers from the audience, marking it as another highly anticipated comeback.

a long production, a typical process for anti. they’re recording demos after demos, their weeks filled with having their songs pre-recorded and recorded. some of them have been discarded, back to the drawing board, but they’re relentless. after all, it’s also marking the first comeback in a while, and they want everything polished to perfection. some of their songs, however, are transferred from cherry bomb’s old files, carving mixed feelings in the members. they’ve finally come to a decision on a new title track, however, called “rain sound”.

their promotions are also ending soon, and many spoke about how nebula wouldn’t let them coincide with atlas’ comeback much seeing that they’re sometimes targeting similar markets. halcyon’s wrapping up their activities, going to the last of their radio shows, as well as finishing with the recordings for their goodbye stages. after that, they’re going to be on their much deserved break.

a surprise for many, even in the company: cinnamon is making a comeback as a full unit instead of rotations. this time, the concept is a mix and match, combining electropop with ballad. they will have two title tracks, only releasing a mini album, and the songs are currently being produced. “하위 down” and “beautiful day” are being recorded side by side, challenging the girls to bring out the quirkier and softer sides of them.

ESCAPE: RECORDING POST-PRODUCTION.

it’s been rumored for some time between the fandoms ( which, coincidentally also ignite a lot of fandom wars ) that nebula will sooner or later pitch the big groups against each other. charm and ctrl have heard gossips regarding their comebacks, and according to them, misconceptions part three’s release might be in tandem with hex’s, although it’s nothing mere assumptions. escape is currently in the post-production phase of their recording for part three, preparing for their comeback soon, possibly right after atlas and cinnamon.

the last photoshoot sessions for nature republic is coming in the corner, and her filming as a supporting role in the drama “weightlifting fairy kim bokjoo” is currently undergoing. it’s rumored that her role this time was obtained through her own initiative to audition. there’s no sign on comeback soon, although some songs are recorded in the studio to test her compatibility with the genre.

April checkin and semester update!

Hi everyone its the middle of April, and boy am I toasted from the two and a half weeks post-spring break

Here’s what happened!

my friends and I went to hackDartmouth, where we made a web app that helps you plan trips. I would say it’s still pretty under development, though this time around, the alpha does indeed work on its own! For those who are interested - here’s the git repo, we used a react on top of ruby on rails. we would not recommend this choice for future projects. we also pulled an all nighter! and ate many snacks

the weather finally turned up to around 50s or 60s, so CPW was pleasantly nice for once. Here’s some pics of CPW

The first picture is from Activities Midway, where we showed prefrosh a bit about our club (Quidditch), and we made butterbeer for the occasion. The second picture is from fondue in McCormick, where we spend an hour or two cutting fruit two days prior in preparation. The third picture is from hot pot at EC, and I got to meet up with a friend from high school and hang out w her a bit. The fourth picture is from a Quidditch event where we actually ran through some drills and played a scrimmage with some prefrosh. And lastly, the picture on the right is of this floppy balloon thing they had in front of Maseeh for the weekend,

like this, but then someone pulled a hack and took it to the top of the lobby 7 dome. so that was a thing

i think this years cpw was a lot of fun, or at least I got to go to a lot of events this year and it felt more fun with like actual friends who were prefrosh this year. anyways, a rundown of the Wednesday (pre-CPW) - Saturday craziness (at least my schedule):

Wednesday

butterbeer prep @5pm

lab meeting @6 - 7:30pm

psetting at pi phi @8-9:30pm

dorm IM basketball!!! but we lost crie @10pm

panic clean and laundry (the entire dorm was up doing this at 1am with me i swear to god)

Thursday

archery @11am! Yes im in archery now. the dude said i was a natural soOoOooOO your girl can shoot straight into a circle and look like a PRO

recitation at 12pm

dorm tours at 3 - 5pm, which was super fun! even though my whole tour was just parents asking questions about how rooms are distributed to freshmen. it was unexpectedly tiring though, I literally finished and nearly collapsed in my room afterwards

met the prefrosh I was hosting for the weekend! I walked her to Simmons and she met up with some random people that I think she got to hang out with for the weekend

psetted for like two hours until my friend got in from Logan, and she brought me Porto’s! And then I hung out with her til nearly midnight

Friday

Camped out in the lobby til noon, and talked to some prefrosh and parents. Gave a surprise tour

Class at 1pm

Ran Quidditch practice at 3pm til 5pm ish

met up with a friend from BU at 6pm for dinner! Took her around cpw events until 10pm [including smores, fondue, root beer floats, and then just chatting in the GLR]

went with my friend and her prefrosh and her prefrosh’s friends to frat parties til midnight

watched jane the virgin with her til 1am

Saturday

woke up late, and ran over to the student center and Z to set up Quidditch for activities midway at 12:30, stayed til 2:30pm

dunked my friend in the dunk tank at maseeh after being cruelly mocked for a while

helped run our signature event at 7pm, and hunted down random prefrosh with glow sticks to try to get them into the building, stayed til 10:30pm

was sad because all the other volunteers left me alone outside, so texted a friend and we watched the perfect date in the kitchen until 1am [6/10, imo]

anyways, the takeaway from this is to thank your local CPW chairs and club exec committees for running the 700+ events because this ^^ was highkey exhausting but super fun anyways

super excited for the next couple days because we have a basketball game tomorrow, our exec quarter zips are coming in tomorrow, and i’m seeing les mis on friday! its also my first musical, so im super psyched :D

semester update!!!

6.858 its actually a pretty chill class, the labs are ok for me, and the readings are on the tougher side for me, but still really interesting content! and i managed to pay attention for the full 80 minutes today and understand >90% of the lecture, so i’m feeling pretty good about myself today

6.033 - ehhhh ok i have a lot of opinions but i feel like a lot of people are in this class, so im not about to go off on this platform lol but i really do like the papers we read (we read MapReduce from Google and CDNs from Akamai, to point out two papers I liked) and i like discussing them in class. never thought i’d actually enjoy discussions (i get horrible anxiety speaking in section), but its actually not too bad somehow.

electronic music comp I - i guess its interesting, we made feedback compositions and convolution projects, which I’ll upload to soundcloud once the semester ends, so I can show yall

interactive music systems: yall i really cannot express how cool this class is every single day, like im still in shock i get to take a class with one of the creators of guitar hero (i tell everyone i know this, and theyre all like whaaaaaa). the other day we coded a guitar hero like game! It’s pretty much just a lot of coding, but also thinking about things you wouldn’t normally think about, like how to build a note scheduler, or how graphics actually work

How to Use the Gas Lantern Routine (GLR)

An Alternate Light Cycle Known as GLR

GLR refers to a light schedule known as Gas Lantern Routine. The mythology around this system supposedly dates back to farmers whose crops were being raided by nocturnal pests and they would go out at night with gas lanterns to chase them away.

What they noticed however is that their crops were not flowering and stayed in a vegetative state because of the light interruption in the middle of their sleeping hours.

Cannabis growers have adapted this system and we can tell you that it works very well.

Essentially what we are doing is using a flowering cycle which is usually 12 hours of light 12 of total darkness and interrupting the ‘’dark’’ hours right in the middle by waking them up for one hour.

There are a few benefits to using this light schedule:

It cuts a considerable amount of electricity as the lights will only be on for 13 hours a day rather than 18

A GLR Light Schedule Would be Something Like

Light comes on at 20:00pm and goes off at 08:00am the following morning.

(12 on)

Light goes on at 13:30pm and off again at 14.30pm and stays off until 20:00pm.

(5.5hrs off – 1hr on – 5.5hrs off).

This equates to a light period of 12 hours followed by a dark period of 5.5 hours, a light period of one hour and another dark period of 5.5 hours.

What this does is prevents the flowering hormone from activating and sending the plant into a flowering state, instead it stays in a vegetative state.

Regardless of what light schedule you use, we recommend that you keep your lights on throughout the night. There are two main reasons for this:

Electricity tends to be cheaper throughout the night, out of peak times

This will help with keeping temperatures down and give you more control over their environment.

It may seem complicated but it’s actually really simple to set your timer and away you go.

If your temperatures are on the lower side you could even leave the (passive intake) flap on for the 1 hour period in the middle of the day (GLR) and it shouldn’t cause any problems.

Either light schedule works really well so choose the one that works best for you.

It’ll be a particularly challenging week for the girls, as eall promotional cycles are, especially at their beginning.

BRIEFING:

HEX concludes their promotional activities for their fourth comeback. The rookie group’s pace is downright frenetic, holding a five-week long cycle, a week longer than the usual Nebula act. Nothing short of impressive, it’s far from the last their fans will be seeing of them, as their first individual concert dates in July rapidly approach. The group’s physical and mental strength is being constantly challenged, but the passion and support their fans have shown them seems to only grow as days roll by.

The dressing room is only silent when they’re out to film, but as soon as they head back, the sense of completion lifts the group’s spirits as their manager offers to take them out for dinner to celebrate their successful promotions.

With their sights on their new comeback, ATLAS find themselves immersed in recording studio and practice rooms as they prepare their upcoming album. Artistic visions are bound to clash and harsh truths may be on the out, only if the group wants to present their best features after their 2016 unimpressive results. On the other hand, however, they’re allowed some breathing room as they meet their fans in a private event for their fanclub and blow off some steam.

Creative differences are bound to happen now that they are back to recording in the studio, and it's only a matter of time before their worries surface.

Come Undone. ATLAS belongs onstage. Nothing ever brings the group’s mood up like the prospect of performing, the release of pent up energy in the only way they have known for way over six years since debut. After the fan event, the group shoves differences aside and gathers for drinks at a club.

BRIEFING:

The importance of last month’s album confirmation may only be really understood by the anti girls. They’re back in the Yongsan gu based Nebula headquarters, and they’re in for a series of meetings to discuss the artistic and musical direction they’ll take for their upcoming release with creative directors, music producers and chief stylists. But they’ll be allowed to have the dessert ahead of the meal, as they head on the beginning of the week to Okinawa for a summer-themed photoshoot in the beach.

Start Anew. Choosing the concept and the style to be pursued in an album is never a task anti takes lightly. And now, stakes are higher than ever, and the excitement in the room seems to rise to meet their level.

BRIEFING:

Although she’s off-season, her 2017 main single still figures among the top 100 positions on online charts months after its release. Though she certainly has seen busier days, Prism’s first soloist still maintains a full schedule. She is set to lend her voice to an Orbit song in July, tucking into the recording booth to bring the demo to life. There are rumors in the company that she may already be working on her next release even though it’ll likely only be released in 2018.

Scouted by modelling agencies, the soloist is having a year filled with events and advertisements that have little to do with music. His fans will be pulled from the drought, however, as it was announced a month ago he would be the opening act for Namie Amuro’s South Korean stop in the Pacific Encore concerts of her last tour. Planning a set of 4 songs for the concert’s preface, it’s also said he’ll feature in a number with Namie herself as her dancing partner.

hello, everyone! greetings, and firstly, i would like to thank everyone for picking up the activity this week so far, it’s been a delight to see the dashboard lit up once again. thank you, again, and hope that this can keep continuing and glory can last for a long, long time!

secondly, i would like to thank everyone for the participation in the prompts so far, the response has been very warm and i’m grateful that you’re having fun with it! please remember that we have another event going on ( glr: season one ) and you need to tag your starters and threads with the tag so that we can keep track of it when the time comes. another reminder: participation in the agenda might win you a spot in our limited edition agendas, so please try and participate in this.

speaking of the limited edition, it’s going to be updated next week along with the finer details, but for the time being, i’d like to inform you that this will only apply to your characters instead of the skeletons. any spots that you win in here will specifically apply to your current muses, and they will be addressed by names instead of their skeletons, so their participations in this will not be carried over to the next characters should you decide to drop your character and someone else takes the skeleton, for example.

also, this is an idea that might need to be ironed out, but we might add a voice claim to our pages, where you can pick out the sound most similar to your muses from real life figures. please do let us know what you think in regards to this through the reply to this post feature!

while the schedules for activity check haven’t been established, unfortunately this week it has to be pushed towards friday the twenty-eighth as opposed to the initial saturday plan. unlike the previous attempts, there will be no warnings, and instead we’ll be directly reopening everyone who doesn’t meet the activity requirements. just for this week, your answers to honesty hour ( at least two of them ) will count towards activity.

this leads to this announcement about the main’s activity: i will be away for around four days, from sunday to wednesday kst, due to going abroad. i’m not sure as to how much i will be able to get on considering that i’ll be out and about during the days, so the activity on main will be low to none. acceptances will resume on thursday the third.

CHERRY BOMB: HOT DEBUT.

after months spent on rigorous trainings and preparations, the hot debut has finally come. their first recordings are set to be released this weekend, with the songs finally released. the singles that are brought into the limelight of their debuts are their title tracks, “target” and “눈물 tears”, presenting two different sides of their images. target is an upbeat track with powerful dance moves, exhibiting nebula’s strongest concept, while tears is more of a vocal-based performance that plays with their mic stands as the property for the dance. netizens have reacted positively so far.

after preparing their comeback with the music video shooting, they’re entering post-production rehearsals and briefings. to support their comeback, this time they’re also featured in gq korea as the cover story. their single is titled “stay”, provides both visual and vocal performances with their signature dance moves, and versatile vocal range. it’s rumored that the track is penned with the help of the members, and the truth is not far from that. their teasers are to be released as soon as jewel box’s promotions come to an ending, establishing the consecutive comebacks for nebula.

SPECIAL EVENT --- NAMIE AMURO LIVE STYLE PACIFIC ENCORE

A month ago, the highly influential Japanese pop artist Namie Amuro announced a six-stop concert tour across the Pacific as an encore to her 2016-2017 Japanese tour Namie Amuro Live Style. The first city she was set to visit was revealed to be Seoul, marking her first concert in the country in thirteen years.

Weeks ahead of the official announcement, Namie Amuro’s representatives reached out to Nebula Entertainment to discuss the possibly of having one of their acts open the concert. The move was carefully calculated to ensure local media would catch wiff not only of Amuro’s good relationship with the country, always a benefitting move to overcome tensions between the countries, but also with her ability to keep her material updated. Although their primary interest relied on a male boyband, Nebula’s suggestion of HEX was met with hesitation from the team, evident they feared the group’s digital influence would deviate attention from the main act.

Discussions quickly reverted interest in a male solo act, and Prism B and his brand of dance pop fit like a glove for the offer. As ticketing opened with the announcement the soloist had been personally invited by Namie Amuro’s management to star in the opening sequence, the interest in the collaboration between the two singers led Nebula to capitalize on the offer.

Nebula’s official twitter account announced that various Nebula Galaxy acts would be present in the concert to support their labelmate. Comments flooded the internet in the wake of the news to comment on celebrity’s privilege, but the company’s fans response was overwhelmingly positive, excitement brimming with the possiblity of seeing the artists together or with Amuro herself.

As the concert week rolled by, Namie Amuro herself offered to repay for Nebula’s hospitality by hosting a private party for concert antendees at Octagon, planned by her team as a thank you note to their support. This detail has eluded online leaks as of now, but it won’t take long for eyes to follow the idols once the real party starts.
