Two days ago I was at the Gloryhammer concert (with Beast in Black and Brothers of Metal) and WOW. With each subsequent concert, the guys are even better, the energy is amazing, and this castle - I saw it in photos from previous locations, but it looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in real life. I'm really more than impressed with the entire concert and these emotions will stay with me for a long time. And despite the huge queue, I managed to buy a tour shirt yay 🎉. And what I like most of all is that with each subsequent concert I have even more fun. Seeing the guys live really makes me happy - especially two days ago because the day of the concert was a hard day for me, but as soon as the guys appeared on stage my mood immediately went better 😁 What was funny (and awkward xd) was that during Keeper, a lot of people standing next to me didn't really know he lyrics and I started singing like a maniac and one lady was like 👀

And I'm still screaming internally because I managed to give Sozos the gift (actually it was box with 6 different gifts) I made for him - BUT I'M SCREAMING BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH A RANDOM ACTION AND IT WAS SO SUDDEN AND SOZOS WAS SHOCKED AND KINDA CONFUSED? (AND ME TOO BECAUSE I FREEZED LIKE ZARGOTHRAX IN LIQUID ICE) AND EVERYONE WAS LIKE ???? I CAN'T 🤣 Normally I would never do something like this but I DID IT 😱 😍

TBH would love to see more of the regular folk POV in fanfics and stuff like that. NOT the ''brave defenders''. NOT the wizards. THE REGULAR FOLK.

Everybody who won the birth status and gene lotteries are out there up in their arms about fighting the Legendary Battles, and then there's you and your village.

The Important People are telling you how horrible chaos is and how the goblins are the masters of evil, and how everybody is being super brave fighting it all. In the meantime, you live in that ''chaos'' daily (honestly nothing much changed, except there are now slightly longer winters), the goblins are actually neat fellas once you get to know them instead of chasing their tribe off with torches and pitchforks, and the last any of you saw the ''Brave Defenders" was more than a decade ago, and the ''order'' and ''law'' are handled by a bunch of assholes on motorbikes who are probably more interested in a brawl and a night at the tavern than they are in helping you. Some guy shows up and laments how the end of the world has begun. You just shrug and go back to baking bread while chatting to your goblin neighbour who complains about her husband being useless around the house. It's been 20 years of this ''end of the world'' thing.

And to be honest, even as someone who likes to separate church and state in these regards, I am of course still flattered when the band does “like” some of my stuff. However, and I assume especially Ben does understand that more than the rest of them (did or do), this stuff (fanwork in general) isn’t “for” them, meaning not made for them but for the other fans.

I have accepted that the seperation I'm so fond of is very thin in this very small space. :')

So for a while my dm has played Gloryhammer music during games(good music would recommend) and tonight, I had the thought "Hey it clearly has some lore, I wonder what it's like. It probably has a wiki" and I was right on all counts and learning the lore only raised more questions and I had to drag myself out before my wiki dive went to deep because its lore is insane.

So one question I had was who is this wizard dude I see in the videos, and seeing a wizard on the popular pages spot I wondered which wizard it was from one video, spoiler he's both, kinda, well ones a clone who was activated by a future version of the other after he died in an alternate universe created when the drummer(?) blew up Mars with the two of them on it using his mechanical heart because the wizard was trying to summon a demon(?). I'd like to say the default aesthetic is generic over the top fantasy and the lore dive got weirder
