Today, I’m calling attention to and disrupting the religious violence trans people experience everyday in every U.S. state, and is pushed internationally by evangelists. Religious based anti-Trans violence is part of a culture of the ongoing belittling and minimizing of Trans folks through a lens that says, not even our God(s) would claim you. Transphobia is not only the positive presence of violence, but also the complicit silence and dismissal of issues that allow harmful, violent, and dehumanizing acts and white supremacist theology and culture to be perpetuated. (Note: This disproportionately affects our siblings who are black and brown.) . This #TransphobiaIsASin campaign is led by @ladydanefe and @jmaseiii, who are the co-authors of @theblacktransprayerbook. Thank you for showing up for us today. .
