it’s honestly good I never watched Buffy until now, cause Glory would appear on screen and my little in-denial lesbian self would’ve gone into cardiac arrest. as is I get palpitations!

Does anyone like Adam as a villain? Or season 4 in general?

I don't care for Adam, but it could be I don't particularly care about Riley well not in the way I care about Faith or even Dawn.

Adam just isn't a very interesting villain, well not to me personally. I feel like everyone's acting was a bit off, in certain areas.

In season 3 we had the mayor and Faith

And

In season 5 we had glory and Dawn

Like those are good matches. Adam and Riley leave much to be desired. Through season 4 has a few good episodes such as the obvious 'Hush', 'this year's girl', and 'who are you?'

Adam just really boring and charmless, which could be because he's made up of parts and half robot.

No, cause I was struggling with finishing this season, I like Buffy in a new space, I like her being in college, getting to be around new people and her friends, I like that she got to experience it for however long she was there. Season 4 in those aspects it's good, earlier seasons Buffy was scared she wouldn't be able to live a semi normal life and look the college experience. Love that for her.

Rewatching s5 and it really blows my mind that after Glory showed up at Buffy's house and threatened her, instead of hightailing it out of Sunnydale with all her family and friends, Buffy just...stuck around? Put up warning bells so she'd know when the goddess was about to come murder her? The hope being that she'd maybe run away in time? Because it was obvious at that point that Buffy couldn't defeat her? Like why didn't she run off to an island a thousand miles away? And/or have the gang devote every waking minute to finding adequate protection spells that might actually stop Glory from getting to them instead of just being a warning? Or, even better, figuring out a way to stop her? I'm sorry, I'm just watching 5x14 right now, and the gang is hanging out at the Bronze drinking like a goddess might not come kill them at any moment, and it's maddening. I can't fathom what's going through their minds. Sure, they're young, but they've been fighting evil for years. They should know better than to behave like that given the threat they're facing. Anya and Giles ESPECIALLY should be more aware. Giles because he's older and wiser, and Anya because she's terrified of death.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so massively confused right now. They're seriously out there going to school and work and watching television and drinking when a goddess has threatened to kill them at any second if they don't give her The Key. They're complete fucking idiots.
