I am tuned in to being me I recognize my worth although it took years for me to see I stand tall so should everybody I recognize my smile helps to define me It represents each sad day I've had The times I felt ashamed or mad but moved on and let it go cause I had to I have no time for the lies and the innuendo's Won't suppress my rise to heaven over I'm still mad at you thoughs I rise or fall by my tongue I speak My lips belie my soul -daily wet cheeks Bad days but good ones too I will wait above I seek Will not be pulled into fools gold again Took all I had to represent - Drag myself- with help -Got me out- Of a weighted pot of wealth-self hate and self doubt To become ok with being me Who else was I ever trying to be?
