I had a dream about a thing called Joe.
It was a long while ago, now. I wake up often in the night still, but very seldom do I remember my dreams like I remember this one. I can’t tell you why. There’s no reason that it should stick out to me—and yet, here we are.
I need someone else to know about this. I can’t be alone with it anymore.
It was dark out, in the dream. Storm clouds as far as the eye could see. I was in college, just like I am now.
This college was different.
It was tall. When I try to remember it enough to put a number on the height, my mind gives me answers like ‘seventy five stories’ and ‘endless stairwells beyond your capabilities to climb’. It was glass, and slim, but stood rigid in the howling wind.
My mother was visiting me. I was meant to go away for a time. I don’t know why, just that I had to leave, and she was here to make it easier. When she came, I asked her if she wanted to get dinner. We both love a deal, and the school ID I had meant I could get some things for free.
Inside the tall, tall building, on the very first floor, right after the front doors, was the restaurant. This story of the building was stretched out further than the rest. The menu started where regular menus started, but then it stretched.
We stood at the counter and craned our neck to look up at it. I joked with my mother than the top of it should have little clouds condensing around the prices. She laughed back. People kept coming up who knew their orders, but we couldn’t quite make choices that fast (and the free choices were more difficult to tally up), so we decided to sit down as we figured it out.
We sat in between two other people. There was a third seat to our left that I knew was meant for my brother—and yet he never came to fill it. When I moved to look at the menu again, my elbow sent someone’s sauce cup flying.
She was nice. Just said, “Good shot!” and laughed it off. I dropped down to clean it up anyways, fistfuls of brown paper napkins, clenched teeth. I kept sopping and sopping at the ground, and yet it always came away damp.
The floor was wet. It wasn’t just me, I realized, as there was a drain in the middle of the room that was growing bloated with water. It spilled from the grate and seeped through the grout to where I slapped napkins against ranch, an endless tide.
“Could I get a mop?” I remember asking, though the words had felt odd in my mouth, “Could I?”
A worker just stood next to me and looked like she was about to cry. She had no mop for me. The puddle kept growing and growing, and nobody moved to do anything but get out of it’s way. I scrambled for some way to help—eventually, digging my nails into the grate and prying it clean from the drain. I hurt my ankle, somehow. I don’t remember. I think someone stepped on me trying to get away from the water.
“I don’t know why it does that,” she told me, through tears, “but nobody helps me keep the water out.”
It was too late to eat now. The lights at the top of the high, high ceiling had gone out, and metal blockades were being pulled over the food cases. My mother, who appeared from the tables, guiltless and innocent in my mind despite her lack of assistance, offered to fill up my gas tank while I showered and packed the last of my things.
I took her up on this deal.
The tall, tall building was a complex one. We started on the bottom floor, I know this, and the dorms must have been somewhere up higher, but in order to get to them, I had to walk through a printing room.
It must have been on the same floor as the restaurant, because the ceiling went on endlessly. Nothing went up these walls—it was like they were just higher, but everything else had stayed the same height. There were rows and rows and rows of white computer cubicles clustered around printers, people dotted in between.
“Excuse me?” I remember someone saying. Their voice grated on my nerves, but I stopped anyway, despite the pain in my ankle.
She wanted help. I showed her the basics of how to use the printers—how to add money to your account, how to choose the right one, how to check to see if it’s printed right—which she figured out fast enough.
But then she started asking more questions. Specific ones, about ink and rate exchanges and paper size and things that were just wholly unnecessary to print and assignment. I think she even asked me about one of her math assignments, honestly.
I didn’t know the answers. I tried to tell her what I could, but she was disappointed with the efforts. She rolled her eyes and turned her nose at me. After her, I limped towards the stairs. The water clinging to my clothes stunk way too much to take the elevator, apparently.
Except then an alert came over the speakers. I remember very little of it, but this is what I’d written down:
“Unless you are one of the scheduled five, you have five minutes to be in your dorms. Anyone not in their dorms will be taken to the infirmary inspection. If you are injured, you will be healed by Joe. If you are chosen to be healed by Joe, you will not look at him. If you look at him, you will die.”
If it wasn’t from a dream, I’d say this announcement gave away too much of the plot and was too stiff to be kept in a story. But that’s what it said. Or at least what I remember it saying.
Narratively stilted or not, I didn’t take it lightly. Despite my ankle, I began sprinting up the stairs, the winding, winding stairs. I didn’t really know what Joe was, but I didn’t want to find out. What I’d heard was already enough. If only that girl hadn’t asked for my help. If only I hadn’t tried to fix that grate.
I hobbled past a few soulless looking boys as I reached my floor. They looked beat up in the face, and had bloody knuckles—I knew them to be fighting earlier, even if it I hadn’t seen it. They don’t watch me go. They don’t stand when the alert repeats itself.
When I did get to my floor, it was already too late.
One of the scheduled five was there before me.
It… it was like a length of gut. Bright, nearly hot pink red, wet and oozy, wrapped around his neck, though from that point of contact it was clearly puppeting the rest of him as it did it’s rounds. The body hovered in front of each door, which would rattle like there was a localized earthquake on its hinges. None of the doors failed, and it continued onto the next one, puppeted boy floating limply in the air like a hung man.
I tried to sprint to my dorm. I’m too slow. It took me.
I am in the mortuary now. It’s meant to be the infirmary, like the alert had promised, but I know it to be the mortuary. I am below everything else I’ve ever known. The ceiling is high here as well, but only filled a fourth of the way up with a complex of tubes.
Almost like a McDonald’s playplace, funnily enough. I am in the tubes, though. On my back. Rolled on rollers like a package. They move me through them like I am to be digested. I’m cleaned. In the next set, I am inspected, even though there’s nothing in here to inspect me.
I’m moved on. There is a fork.
I am sent to the right.
I know, deep in my heart, that I am going to see Joe.
Joe is different from the rest of the brightly colored tubes. He is in the middle. He is made of a black, puffed out material—like a trash bag, blown up with air. It undulates as people pass through it. As I am rolled towards it, there are clear plastic circles for me to see out of.
I watch a section of Joe trash and twist in on itself, and then blow back up. Someone looked.
As I am moved past the windows, I close my eyes. Darkness presses in on my lids, and then is replaced by clear light, but I don’t fall for it, and don’t open my eyes. The rolls stop, but I don’t stop moving.
More lights flicker. Like someone has gone nuts on the switch, it begs me to open them, to open them wide, even as I feel someone other happening to me. But I don’t dare open them.
Until I do. Right at the end.
Just for one moment, I look out from between Joe and the man made tubes. I don’t look at him. At least, I don’t think I do.
And that’s where my memory ends, and where my notes app that night ends as well.
I don’t really know what this dream means.
But there is a new building being put up near me. The design is tacked up on the fence around it—it’s a tall, tall building. Lots of glass.
I wonder if it’ll be a school.

Customizing Your Kitchen Shutters, Shower Cubicles, and Glass Windows
Tumblr media
Have you ever walked into a space and felt an instant "wow"? Often, the secret lies in the details – the way light plays across surfaces, the unexpected pops of color, and the seamless integration of function and form. This is where customizing your home's elements, like kitchen shutters, shower cubicles, and glass windows, comes into play. It's about transforming these everyday features into design statements that reflect your unique style and enhance your living experience.
Kitchen Shutters: Beyond Basic Cabinets
Let's face it, traditional kitchen cabinets can sometimes feel bulky and visually overwhelming. Enter kitchen shutters. These beauties offer a lighter, more modern aesthetic while providing ample storage space. Imagine replacing those heavy cabinet doors with sleek, frosted glass shutters. They instantly elevate the look of your kitchen, making it feel more open and airy.
The Customization Canvas:
Material Marvels: Kitchen shutters come in a variety of materials like wood, MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and even textured finishes. Wood shutters lend a timeless elegance, while MDF offers a smooth, modern look at a budget-friendly price point. Textured finishes, like linen or hammered metal, can add a touch of personality and visual interest.
Playing with Light: Don't just settle for solid panels. Explore options like frosted or patterned glass to introduce diffused light and create a sense of depth. Consider incorporating cut-outs or geometric shapes for a truly unique touch.
Hardware Harmony: The right hardware can elevate your kitchen shutters from good to great. Choose cabinet pulls or knobs that complement the overall style of your kitchen. For a minimalist look, opt for sleek, bar pulls. If you're going for a more traditional vibe, consider decorative knobs or cup pulls.
Real-World Inspiration:
Modern Farmhouse: Picture this: A bright and airy kitchen with crisp white cabinets adorned with sleek black wooden shutters. The shutters add a touch of rustic charm while still maintaining a clean and contemporary feel.
Industrial Chic: Imagine exposed brick walls, stainless steel countertops, and cabinets outfitted with metal-framed glass shutters. This combination creates a cool, edgy look that's perfect for the urban dweller.
Coastal Oasis: Bring a touch of the beach to your kitchen with whitewashed wooden shutters accented with woven rattan knobs. Frosted glass panels with a hint of blue add a subtle nautical touch.
Shower Cubicles: Spa-Like Serenity
The bathroom is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. So, why not transform it into a spa-like sanctuary? Here's where shower cubicles come in. Gone are the days of clunky shower curtains that stick to you and create a cramped feeling. Shower cubicles offer a luxurious and sophisticated alternative, creating a defined space for your showering experience.
Customization for Comfort and Style:
Glass Options: When it comes to shower cubicles , the star of the show is, of course, the glass. Choose from clear glass for a minimalist look, or frosted glass for added privacy. You can even explore textured glass options for a touch of visual intrigue.
Frame it Up: The frame of your shower cubicle can significantly impact the overall aesthetic. Opt for sleek chrome or brushed nickel for a modern feel, or go for classic white or black for a timeless look.
Functionality First: Consider incorporating features like built-in shelves for toiletries, a rainfall showerhead for an extra spa-like experience, or a niche for holding shampoo and conditioner.
A Touch of Luxury:
Walk-in Wonder: For a truly luxurious feel, consider a walk-in shower cubicle. This option creates a spacious and inviting atmosphere, perfect for larger bathrooms.
Double Trouble: If you have the space, a double shower cubicle can be a great option for couples or families. This allows for a more spacious showering experience and eliminates the need for multiple shower curtains.
Corner Magic: Don't have a lot of space to spare? A corner shower cubicle can be a great space-saving solution. It maximizes the use of corner space and creates a functional showering area in even the most compact bathrooms.
Glass Windows: Welcoming the Light
Natural light is not just good for your mood; it can also make your home feel more spacious and inviting. This is where glass windows come in. They play a vital role in bringing the outdoors in and creating a connection with nature.
A World of Window Options:
Style Spectrum: From classic double-hung windows to modern picture windows, there's a style to suit every taste and architectural style. Double-hung windows offer versatility with both upper and lower sashes that open for ventilation.

notes: based on this, this is my favorite look on elvis like. Ever. he looks so good yall. i'm having like the worst week so i wrote this to cope lol also i know he had two shows that day but for my own purposes he only had a night show. may contain inaccuracies or mistakes as always. enjoy!
masterlist | send a request or say hi :)
»»————- ♡ ————-««
although you loved working at your little newspaper job, it'd been a rough last few weeks. your boss only allowing you to write the most boring articles you'd ever written. local woman celebrates her 100th birthday, it rained yesterday, the price of milk went up by one cent, it wasn't enough. you needed more, a challenge. so when the awful, loud coworker that you hated oh so much got the piece for elvis presley's upcoming show at madison square garden, allowing her to attend the press conference, you were about 5 seconds away from quitting.
"oh, they're definitely fucking." another coworker whispered to you, leaning on your cubicle. you scoffed. "no way, i just think she's good at kissing his ass." you turned your head to the side, watching as she let out a squeal as she hugged your boss tightly. "yeah, if sucking dick counts as kissing ass. you deserved that piece." they said to you, walking away after giving you a slight pat on the back. it was true though, you deserved to write about it. that should have been you screaming and thanking your boss. you put in more effort into your work than she did, it wasn't fair. apparently your other coworkers thought the same, inviting you out to drinks after work. you raised your glass, "here's to hoping somethin' very very bad happens to her-" you slurred. "-so the article goes to me!" everyone laughed and raised their glasses along with you. obviously you didn't want her dead or anything that crazy, just something enough to let your boss hand it over to you.
it was almost as if the gods above you heard your prayers. you had the day of the press conference off and had slept in a few hours later than usual. the phone rang, waking you up from your deep sleep. you answered groggily to your boss who asked if you'd be able to attend in your coworkers place as she'd gotten the flu and could no longer go. you couldn't turn the offer down, it was a dream come true. not only would you be seeing elvis up close and in real life but this piece could have people taking you more seriously. now all you had to do was come up with questions to ask him. this was supposed to be his first large show in new york and you had the honor of being there, you needed to have good questions but you also needed to look good.
after a shower and rushing the office to get your press pass, you finally made it to the hotel for the conference. you'd never been so nervous for anything in your life, you were practically shaking when you showed your pass to get in. there were people everywhere, cameras everywhere all over the floor. you still managed to get a spot near the front, right in front of the table where elvis would be seated. you pulled out your recorder and notepad from your bag. it was such a surreal moment for you. it got more real once his father was brought out , followed by vernon waving and taking a quick seat right as the same man who introduced him announced "mr.presley brought a friend with him!". the room filled with claps and cheers as elvis walked out, smiling and standing proud next to his father, hands on his hips and nodding towards everyone. he looked incredible, wearing the prettiest shade of blue you'd ever seen that goes well with his tan, the undershirt was gorgeous. a white and blue floral-dotted pattern with the collar up. not to mention the dark blue cape supported by his collar.
"first of all, i plead innocent of all charges!" he joked as he took a seat.
him and vernon took a second to adjust their seating. "we love you elvis!" a woman yelled from the back. "thank you dear, love you too. thank you" he said loud and proud, leaving you melting. elvis was so lovely, always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh but always giving everyone a real answer. you hadn't spoken up though, the nerves were getting to you, still starstruck by the fact elvis was right in front of you. you just couldn't get over how handsome he looked, that shade of blue against his tan skin was doing something to you. if you had been sitting down, you'd definitely have to cross your legs or keep your thighs tightly squeezed together. you made the mistake of wearing a skirt as well, everyone else was dressed casually while you were dressed like it was another day at the office. the way he stood up to unbutton his blazer and show off his gold belt definitely made those feelings of yours a lot worse.
a little later into the conference, elvis finally took a glance at you, giving you a soft smile. "you hadn't said a word this whole time, cat got your tongue?" you turned slightly red as his words, truth is, you didn't really know what to ask him. "a-ah-mr.presley, you'll have to excuse me.." you stuttered. "elvis." he corrected. "-elvis, i'm just a little starstruck that's all." he let out a small laugh. "um-so-how are you enjoying new york? has anything caught your eye? you must be very excited to play tonight."
elvis moved his eyes up and down on you, grinning. "oh, something has caught my eye, alright." your mouth dropped, leaving you speechless. "i've been enjoyin' new york, real excited for tonight. it's gonna be a good show."
there were a few more questions, a couple towards vernon along with a few photos being taken. the colonel finally came out, saying they had to wrap it up. you almost felt sad, only keeping your eyes glued to elvis and the suit he was in till he left the room. as you got up, you were quickly approached by someone on his team asking for you to stay behind. your nerves getting the best of you once again, were you in trouble? everyone cleared out, taking their cameras and such out of the room as you stayed behind, taking a seat on the edge of the stage.
"hey darlin', sorry to keep you waiting." if you had turned your head any faster, you could have easily broken your neck. there he was, the most beautiful man to ever walk on this earth, walking towards you with that famous lip curling grin on his face.
you got on your feet, pushing your skirt back down to an appropriate level. "oh my-mr.presley! it's an honor to meet you!" you held your hand out for him to shake, to which he took and placed his lips on the back of your hand. "thought i told you to call me elvis, hon."
"right! sorry, mr-ah-elvis." you replied awkwardly. "what can i do you for?" you asked, trying to not look down at the rest of him. you couldn't help but stare.
"i'm supposed to go back and rehearse for tonight, but i think there's somethin' better i'd like to do instead." he moved his face closer to yours, the smell of his cologne and aftershave filling the inside of your nose.
"and what would that be?"
"why don't you come with me and find out?" he said under his breath. he took your hand and scurried you to his room, trying to avoid more of the press and his manager.
clicking the lock behind him, he began to shimmy off his blazer before you stopped him. "can you leave that on? just for a minute?" he raised an eyebrow at you, pulling you closer to him. "you like the suit mama? saw you eyein' me down in there" he had you pressed against him with his arms around your waist.
"thought you looked so pretty up there," you ran your hand over the soft fabric of his bright blue blazer, adjusting his collar slightly. "matches your eyes."
a shiver went down his spine as you touched him, aching for you more and more. "well, aren't you sweet?" he chuckled, placing a hand on your cheek.
"here's what's gonna happen baby, you're gonna suck me off then you're come to my show tonight and let me fuck you afterwards, sound good?" he explained, your own arousal was growing more and more as you felt him against you.
"yessir." he pulled away from you, chucking the gold plated belt that he had shown off earlier onto the bed then untucking his shirt from his pants. you kneeled down, the rough carpet hard on your knees. you'd definitely be feeling that later. you ran your hand over the swell on his pants and scanned his eyes for permission as you reached for the zipper. "go on, baby."
you unzipped the bright blue pants and carefully dragged them down to his thighs, being met with with his leaking, hard cock. you almost wanted to comment on his choice of wearing no underwear, but the clock was ticking. you took him in your hand, pumping him a few times before licking along the angry, protruding vein on the underside of his cock. you slowly took him in to give your throat time to adjust. taking him all in, he let out a soft groan and placed a hand in your hair.
he watched as you took him in and out of your mouth, fingernails digging into his thighs. "gonna let me fuck that mouth of yours?"
you moaned in response, his cock twitching at the vibration from your noises. he moved his hand to the back of your head, gripping at your hair as he fully thrusted himself in you. you were pretty much swallowing him whole, gagging slightly causing tears to fall from the corners of your eyes. "you should look at yourself hon, lookin' so fucked out. goddamn, you're gorgeous."
your throat relaxed around him, glassy eyes locking into his lust-filled ones as he began to thrust in and out of your mouth slowly. "yea baby, just like that." he gasped, throwing his head back as his movements went faster.
"not gonna last--where do you want me?" he shakily asked.
you gave his thighs a squeeze, groaning around him as permission to cum down your throat. the last thing you wanted was for him to ruin and make a mess of that pretty blue suit of his. your noises sent him shooting right down your throat, the taste both salty and sweet, swallowing all of it right up and not missing a single drop.
he panted heavily as you slowly removed him from your mouth, licking his tip one last time before carefully pulling his pants up and shoving him back in. "wouldn't want to make a mess, would we?" you said hoarsely, zipping him back up.
he helped you stand back up, gently fixing your skirt for you. "oh, i'm gonna have some fun with you tonight." he teased. "hate to leave you like this but the colonel's gonna be knockin' on my door any minute." he brought his face close to yours, pulling you in again with a arm around your waist. "wanna see you front row, wait after the show and someone will bring you backstage." he said softly. "gonna treat you real good." he placed a gentle kiss on your lips, tasting himself on you. "leave five minutes after i leave, got it?"
"yes, mr.presley." you nodded, purposely not calling him elvis just to rile him up. he pulled away, growling slightly. "thought i told you to call me by my name, but i guess you don't wanna listen." he shook his head and opened the door. "brace yourself, little one. watch yourself." elvis warned before leaving and exiting his room, letting the door slam behind him.
you were front and center for his show that night, just as promised. it was hard going home and resisting the urge to touch yourself, to give yourself some sweet relief after the events from earlier. even during the show, you were practically dripping. it wouldn't be a surprise if you'd left the seat a mess. you had to remind yourself that you needed to pay attention to not just how elvis looked that night, but how his performance was. after all, you had an article to write and unfortunately, you can't exactly have 'i gave elvis head and he fucked me later after his concert!' as the headline, although it'd definitely be eye catching. doesn't really roll off the tongue though.
just as elvis said, someone came for you not long after the show, bringing you to elvis's dressing room where he was sitting on the couch in his white jumpsuit with gold stones decorated around it, zipped down past his chest. you muttered a quick thank you as the man shut the door behind you. "lock the door." he said straight away.
"no hello?" you scoffed, doing as he said then standing awkwardly.
"pft. sorry darlin' c'mere, take a seat next to me." he pat the empty side of the couch for you to sit, giving you a soft smile as you took a seat next to him. "enjoy the show?"
"oh, of course. you were amazing!" you replied quickly. "you really do know how to put on a show, mr.presley."
he tsk'ed at you, shaking his head once again at you not calling him by his name. "you really don't listen, do you?"
elvis pulled your legs over to his lap, causing you to slightly lay flat on the couch. "you know, i don't like when people don't listen to me." he lifted up your leg slightly, throwing your shoe off and trailing kisses from your ankle and down your leg then doing the same to the other.
"guess i need to be punished then?" you teased. "oh mr.presley, please don't punish me!"
elvis took in a sharp inhale at your obvious-fake tone, setting down your leg and crawling over you, one knee in between your thighs and touching slightly at the wetness under your skirt. "no underwear, huh? how dirty." he dug his knee deeper, smirking slightly at the small whine coming from you. "so goddamn wet, you're gonna make a mess of the whole couch."
you slowly pushed yourself onto his knee, begging for any sort of friction on your arching core. you pulled him down to you by his collar, kissing him deeply and opening your mouth slightly for him to slip his tongue inside. you ran your hands over his dark-haired chest up and down as you moaned into his mouth, his knee rubbing up and down your folds. "please-"
you felt yourself getting closer to your orgasm just by rubbing yourself against the fabric of his suit, breathing heavily under elvis. he removed his knee, sitting up slightly. "elvis!" you groaned.
"oh, now you wanna say my name?" he ripped your shirt off, buttons flying everywhere, running his hands under your bra and gripping your breasts, squeezing them as he placed kisses everywhere. you unhooked your bra, allowing elvis to toss it to the side and bite around your sensitive areas. "fuck!" you shouted. he was definitely leaving marks that you'd have to cover before returning to work tomorrow, there's no way you were going to be explaining how elvis gave you those marks in the first place.
elvis sat up again, pulling down your skirt and throwing it then bending back down, trailing kisses from your breasts to your dripping, wet pussy. he licked up the wetness, tasing your juices before using his fingers to tease at the bundle of nerves. "you touch yourself today?" he asked, giving your clit a slight pinch.
"n-no, saved myself for you." you stuttered, squeezing your thighs slightly around him.
"good." with no warning, he inserted two fingers inside you, the feeling of his long, calloused fingers you saw him use to play his guitar earlier sending you waves of pleasure. he curled them both, moving them in a fast pace before finally hitting deep enough to make you clench around him.
his eyes met yours, feeling his own cock twitch at the sight of you. "god, you're beautiful." he pulled his fingers out of you right as you were about to climax again.
you let out a soft whine at the emptiness, "elvis-" he unzipped his jumpsuit, shimmying out of it and allowing his fully-hard cock to slap against his stomach, red and dripping with precum. "i know, baby. hold on."
"need you so bad." you creeped a hand down to touch yourself as you watched elvis undress and tore open a small condom packet.
he slipped it on and swat your hand away. "sorry mamas, can't be too careful." you flashed him a quick smile. "unlike most men." you joked.
elvis laughed in response. "well, i ain't like most men am i?" you shook your head. "hell no."
he let out another throaty laugh, slowly pushing himself inside of you, groaning at the sudden tightness. "god, you feel so good." he let you adjust a moment, not hesitating to look into your eyes for approval to move.
it was a shame this would most likely be the only time you'd ever see him, you adored him. in love with how gentle he was with you. "elvis, fuck me. please."
"just because you said please." he purred, thrusting into you like there was no tomorrow. you loved the feeling, you felt so full. it had been so long since any man in your life had made you feel this way. he moved faster, pulling you up as you wrapped your arms around his neck. he kissed you again, breathing and taking you all in. his arms snaked around your waist, enjoying your warm embrace as he fucked you into oblivion. you let out loud moans into his mouth as you continued to kiss him. "oh elvis, elvis-" the position allowed hit against your g-spot again, the feeling more arousing than before. "oh my god, elvis."
his hips moved faster under yours, panting heavily into your ear. "yeah baby, say my name, wanna hear you scream it, c'mon." you pushed him slightly against the armrest of the couch, allowing yourself to bounce up and down on his lap. you were sure everyone outside his dressing room could hear the lewd noises coming from the both of you, but you could tell elvis didn't care. "takin' me so good." he groaned. you felt him suddenly twitch as his thighs tightened, he gripped your hips tightly as he came, sure enough to leave bruises later.
you came shortly after, screaming his name as you tilted your head back, moaning and making noises you never thought you could make. your legs shook as you rode him through your own orgasm, gripping onto elvis for dear life.
"good lord." he panted. you laid yourself on top of elvis to catch your breath, him still inside you. "i don't-" you breathed. "i don't think i've ever orgasmed like that in my whole life." you said in a breathy laugh.
"you and me both." he said, letting out a sigh. "think you can sit up for me?" you slowly got up, your body starting to slowly ache as you got off of him and winced at the emptiness. "think i might have to call off of work tomorrow." you threw yourself back on the couch as he stood up to throw the condom in the trash. "you gonna write a good article on me?" he tied a robe around himself and grabbed an extra one for you before walking to you to clean you up.
"no, i'm gonna write a piece on how terrible you are." he rolled his eyes at your sarcasm, tossing the robe beside you. "after all we've been through?" he fake-cried. you slipped the robe on, not bothering to tie it. "oh shut up, you big baby." elvis took a seat next to you, wrapping his arm around you and lighting a cigar in the other. "listen baby, you say what you wanna say. but if you're nice enough, maybe i'll let you see me again."
you did write a good piece of him, mentioning how great he was on stage and how everyone should see him live at least once. but it was the way you wrote about the press conference and the blue suit that had people swooning. and yes, he called you a few days after the article came out.

Baby Birdie|Hawks x Female! Reader PART 2
Part One
Tumblr media
The loud ringing of your alarm was like a curse now.
It basically was what forced you out of bed to drag yourself to the horrible place of your work.
But nonetheless, you turn it off and manage to get up. You dragged yourself to your bathroom and got a short shower, got changed, ate toast, got your lunch packed, and then headed out of your apartment.
You then get into your car and drive to your workplace.
You clock in and head up to your floor. But the ONE thing you weren't expecting was when the doors opened and you ran into a chest. But not just anyone's chest. They would've yelled at you if so.
"Woah careful there."
Your eyes widen as you look up to see of course, Hawks. "Oh, well if it isn't L/N! Good morning." He tells you, very friendly. You just gave him a small wave and smile.
You weren't used to people being so nice to you. "What's the matter? Too shy to talk to me?" He teases. "It's alright. I get it!" He tells you as you looks away, blushing a bit.
This guy was your IDOL and you were being an idiot! "I-its fine! I just.. don't talk much." You tell him, meeting his gaze once again.
His soft, beautiful yellow eyed gaze.
"Got it." He replies. You started walking to your cubicle to hide yourself but Hawks stops you. "Wait! I actually have something to ask you." He says to you, getting your attention. You turn around to see him again.
"How would you like to go out to eat during your lunch break?" He offers.
Was he SERIOUS?!?
The number 2 hero wants to GO OUT AND EAT LUNCH WITH YOU!!
You were speechless for a moment, but then you couldn't help but crack a smile. "Y-yeah..! Sure!" You reply, accepting his invitation.
He smiles in return. "Great! See you then!" He tells you, waving goodbye before turning around to walk away.
You speed walk to your cubicle, keeping your head down with a smile on your face. You were blushing like crazy. You couldn't believe it! Hawks asked you out!
But then a thought came across your mind that made you wonder. "Why is he being so nice though? He doesn't even know me!" You think to yourself.
When lunchtime came, you left with Hawks, and you shyly walked beside him. "So, where would you like to eat? I like yakitori the most! But I'm not picky!" Hawks tells you, waving at a fan who passed by him.
You just felt so awkward and shy around him, plus you may have a small crush on him..
Ok so it's a BIG crush, ever since his debut! But you just couldn't believe you were going to lunch with him! Like a date!
"O-Oh uhm.. you can choose." You tell him, glancing up at him with a small weak smile. "Alright then, I know the perfect place!" He replies, looking ahead once more.
Just his tall lean figure, his amazing looking hero suit, his fluffy jacket, calm demeanor, slicked back yet messy blonde hair, and his eyeliner!
It just had your heart beating!
And his WINGS! Oh his beautiful giant red wings! They were closed back behind him but the temptation of reaching out to feel them was strong!
But you HAD to resist! Otherwise he would see you as a weird creep, and avoid and hate you like everyone else at work!
But then, almost as if Hawks had read your mind, he speaks up. "You know, you can touch my wings if you want." He tells you. You look at him surprised.
"Are you sure..?" You ask.
"Yeah! Don't worry I get it all the time! Plus I have a lot of kids pull and tug them, so they've been through worse." He reassures you.
You hesitantly reached out and gently rubbed the palm of your hand against them. And holy CRAP they were so soft!!
They were soft and clean and were amazing! "Wow.. that's soft!" You comment as you pulled your hand away. "I know right?" Hawks agrees.
Some of your previous tension was now gone.
You two arrive at the restaurant he chose and HOLY CRAP! It was SO fancy, having a personal dining room all to yourself high up, with a giant glass window to see across what seemed like ALL of Japan!
And the prices were EXPENSIVE! Like, just jacked up! And Hawks was paying for all of it! I guess it's one of the perks of being the Number 2 Hero:Lots of money.
So you order a plate of sushi and he ordered some Yakitori Sticks. The food soon arrived, your sushi arriving on a wooden plate with a small cup of soy sauce on the side and chopsticks, while Hawks' chicken had three long kabobs of meat on them and were placed alongside each other on a long plastic black plate.
"Uh you SURE I can order whatever I want? I mean, I don't want you to waste all of your money!" You ask him, honestly feeling a little guilty he was spending so much on you!
"Of course, don't worry about it! I have money to spare!" He reassures you before he bites some of the cooked chicken and vegetables off the first stick.
You look back down at your sushi and used your chopsticks and began eating. It was DELICIOUS!
You two ate in silence for a while and Hawks finished his stick of Yakitori before looking at you. He honestly thought you looked like an angel in the lighting.
"Hey can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" You ask looking up at him.
"Tell me the truth, why does everyone at your workplace hate you? I haven't found a single thing bad about you!" He asks.
"O-Oh.. uhm.. I honestly don't know.. they just don't like me.." You reply, looking down at your lap. "So why haven't you just quit and gotten another job?" Hawks asks.
"Because I barely managed to get this one..!" You reply, still averting your gaze. Your uneasiness was starting to leave and he had to go and ask about your work life!
Though I guess it was justifiable, due to how much everyone openly expresses their hate towards you.
And it appeared as if Hawks had read your mind, considering what he says next. "I'm sorry Baby Birdie! I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything! I was just curious." He apologizes.
You couldn't help but feel your face burn up and blush from the nickname he so casually dropped into that sentence.
"It's okay.." You reassure him, finally managing to look up at him with a smile.
You two soon finish your lunch and head back to the office. After that lunch with Hawks though, you were happy for the rest of the day!
You weren't even upset when your coworkers insulted you, pushed all of their unfinished work on to you, and the surprise presentation your boss dropped on you giving you only 2 days to prepare.
You didn't care! You felt as if you were on cloud nine! You felt like a completely different person!
You even got to go home on time tonight this time! Although you weren't able to say goodbye to Hawks as your boss was keeping him in his office for a long time.
But you just practically skipped home and got yourself a nice microwave dinner to eat while watching your favorite show.
After that, you turned it off and went to bed.
A perfect end to an ALMOST perfect day...
I had no excuse for this being so late! I was just lazy!

Tumblr media
“Yoongi, don’t talk so drastically...it was just a joke.” He heaved deeply, gripping the door handle severely. “It can’t be a joke every time y/n she’s done worse before, her and her husband.” Sighing, unsure if it was safe to touch him you put your hand on the handle next to his. “Min, they hate me because you love me, if you want it resolved maybe we should lay low...take something like a break?” Of course you didn’t mean it, but the complications at work were becoming a bit detrimental.
His head turned at lighting speed, with a look of disgust almost. “Break? You can’t be serious don’t ever say something like that again, and I’ll do what I please, we should we hide ourselves she’ll start waking around with her head high like she won.” He let go of the handle leaning against the door looking deeply into you. “I’ll fire her.” You rolled your eyes “Yoongi please she needs to work.” “Stop being so damn sweet, this is the same person that soiled your clothes, cracks jokes about you...she bullies you she should’ve been out of here.” He put his hand in his pocket, checking his watch on his other wrist. “We’re almost done for the day anyway... you go to my place without me I’ll meet you there.” Taking his watch clad hand in yours, you could tell he was still furious.
“Alright if you insist, but what’ll you be doing yoongs?” You attempted to turn the atmosphere playful. “Baby, you insist on disobeying my requests.” Chuckles dryly. “I’ll be talking to Kim, and Lucy.” “Lucy, why?” “I’m giving her Kim’s position, a promotion.” He leans swiftly pecking your cheek before opening the door for you both to exit, not giving you a chance at questioning him further. He follows closely behind all eyes on you, a grimace on Eunji’s features. It’s like you had a fat red target right in the middle of your face. “Actually, why don’t you just head out now.” Yoongi mumbled before leaving your side, quickly heading to his office his fist curled in a rough grip.
You hung your head low like a shy school girl, going to collect your bag and belongings from your cubicle. Only to find Jimin completing the papers you’d left. “Heading home miss Raman booty?” He mumbled without turning, a pen between his teeth, his fingers typing with stealth. “I hate you Jimin.” Laughing he let the pen fall, leaning in the chair finally facing you. “You ok?” You nodded giving a warm smile. “Good, here’s your thousand dollar sack.” He handed you your purse, he’s full of jokes today, you responded with a low chuckle. “Wait before you go, whats the 411 on the bosses mood?” “Mm angry, go in quickly and quietly and leave the same way.” He nodded going back to the computer, “Ah, so not the day for pay increase forms? Gotcha.” You laughed before walking away, ready to be rid of the grimy feeling you were getting from work today.
Avoiding eye contact, you focus on the rythmatic clicking of your pumps until you entered the silver elevator. Leaning against the glass window you watched as you descended through the building. Finally meeting the last floor quickly freeing yourself sighing one more trek to take, that being into the parking garage. Silent and eerie, it oddly relaxed you you found your car quickly. It’s always there right next to Yoongi’s ever since the first day you started.
The thought warmed you, feelings of your boyfriends love floating around you. Hopping in your car you threw the gifted purse in the back seat, just before you could start up your phone rang, Yoongi of course. “Hey Yoongi” ”Ah, you sound happier already.” Reclining your seat you sighed. “I was thinking of you.” He hummed in approval. “Cute, hm I do the same to calm myself...thinking of you of course.” Giggling you responded “reason for calling?” “I wanted to say I love you, and I want you to go straight home.” He orders blandly. “Tsk I wanted to shop a bit.” You joke putting your seat back into position. “Y/n straight home, no questions.” “Yeah I heard you Daddy.” You joked starting your vehicle. “Good, I’ll see you soon, love you...say it back.” “I love you Yoongi, of course.” He sighed softly, checking your surroundings you pulled back waiting for him to hang up. “Alright bye...Jimin get out.” The phone call ended.
Relaxed you drove through your city, it’s a bit later in the day the faces of people passing linger in your mind. A soft tune plays from the radio, resting at a light your eyes wandered to the beagle place Yoongi always insists on getting breakfast from. His friends little hole in the wall. Letting your mind wander, he really is a romantic. Finishing the length of the trip you finally reach your destination, a discreet apartment on the edge of town with a not so discreet price. Reaching for your purse you got out of the car, frankly mentally and physically exhausted. “Mrs min! Welcome back!” You’re warmly greeted at the door, “no still y/l/n,good afternoon.” Warmly you smile thanking him for opening the door, yet another elevator to take you where you needed to be.
On the home stretch, trudging towards the door unlocking it you fumbled inside sighing taking in his scent that floated about. With your eyes closed you dropped your bag shuffling to the couch. Kicking off the shoes you let gravity take over thumping onto the firm furniture. The light jingling, made a smile spread on your lips. “Is that my best boy!?” You opened your eyes, greeted with Min Holly his coffee colored paws giving you pets on your head. “My Beautiful little one.” Kissing him on the temple, and gifting him to a few pets and scratches he was satisfied with your greeting he let you be at rest.
Pulling from the couch, you fulfilled the routine of grabbing a snack and skipping upstairs to shower. Stripping you ventured Yoongi’s bedroom in the nude, in search for the clothes you’d left there. Giving up you opted for a pair of briefs and a t-shirt.
Finishing the shower, you cuddled into bed wallowing on the plush mattress in search of a comforting position, engulfing your senses in Yoongi’s scent. Turing on the tv you rolled over, the bed felt cold without your cuddle baby. “Hmm Holly! C’mere little boy!” Joyously he ran in jumping next to you cuddling into your warm side. “We’ll nap and wait for Daddy huh?”
Tumblr media
NOW READING FROM: Yoongi’s point of view.
“Are you sure Min, I mean I’m flattered but I just started about a month ago-” I held up my hand to stop her nervous speech. “I’m positive, I’ve observed your work ethic I’m sure you could keep up Lucy, the pay is great the work is easy....more time to speak to Jungkook hm?” Her cheeks blushed light rose at the mention of his name. “But what about uhm..Eunji?” She spoke of her coworker in hushed tones, like she was some sort of demon.
“Kim Eunji has been polluting our work area, making others feel uncomfortable...and uncomfortable means less work getting done, I’ll see about her don’t worry.” Toying with her manicured fingers, such a shy girl, “so what’s your answer?” She sighed brushing a stray hair behind her ear, “Mr Min, when do I start?” She held a coy smile, slowly looking up to make eye contact. “Ah! Smart girl!” I distributed my hand for her to shake in agreement. “You’ll start Monday, we’ll have it all sorted by then.” Nodding she let go of my hand, “thank you Mr Min.” “Of course Lucy I know I won’t regret it, enjoy your night sorry for keeping you late.” Now almost all of her face had a glow of blush, “oh it’s fine Mr Min I don’t mind I didn’t have anything to do tonight anyways, how a-” “ask Eunji to come in for me please, Good night Lucy thank you.”
Shutting up he gave a quick smile and nod before leaving quicker than she came. Eunji pranced in almost eagerly a subtle smirk playing on her cherry lips. “It’s late Yoongi I have to get home.” “Home to what...a cold shower and empty bed? Come sit.” I smirked as she complied, “what do you want Min...if you’re looking for apologies you wont-” “I just wanted to talk to you.” She shut her painted lips, nodding giving me room to speak.
“You’ve been acting out Kim, and I think I know why.” She folded her arms defensively humming a response. “Oh yeah?” Her cocky tone only deepened my concealed rage. “You’re missing someone, your husband maybe?” She rolled her eyes, poking her tongue along her cheek. “What about it?” She began to toy with the small figurines that decorated my desk. “Well, he misses you too...I’ve made the decision to let you go if you’d like.”
“It isn’t time for him to come back, he’s been on the trip for months.” She mumbles smiling down at a framed picture of Holly. Scoffing I took the image back, “Joon, he likes it there he’s been having issues contacting you so he’s said....but he’s made the choice to transfer and stay at the location.” She looked intensely Into my eyes, confused yet gullible.
“He’s gotten a good place, he wants to move you there...he misses you more than you know, and the way you’ve been acting out of line I think you feel the same.” She huffs, nodding slowly. “Alright, you’ll treat my flight the same you did his?” Greedy little bitch...“yes, paid and full, you’ll be able to contact him at the airport hm?” Finally a soft smile spreads her lips, she huffs a low chuckle. “Really?” “Would you like to see the messages and paperwork?”
In hopes she’d say no I still pulled open the side drawer, a single word held her fate as I gripped the heavy weapon. It would be messy and against the plan if she’d decided to take this route. “No..no, why would you lie about sending me on all expenses paid long term vacation.” I smirked nodding while closing the drawer. “So you’ve agreed to joining him?” Sighing she tamed wisps of her dark hair, raking the back into her loose ponytail.
I pushed the legal paper forward a ballpoint rests atop of it. “When do I leave, do I get a chance to say goodbye?” She mumbles leaving her signature along the dotted spaces. Goodbye? Who would want to farewell a she-demon like you. “I’m afraid not, your flight is scheduled for tomorrow 7AM...you should get home actually.” I checked my timepiece briefly.
She stood silently, “ah ah wait, Eunji...it’s late you’re tired allow me to drive you home.” She furrows her brows, giving a suspicious look. “I’ll miss you Kim, you were one of the first people here you and Namjoon.” She lowered herself in the seat her expression now compassionate.
I didn’t lie, Eunji was exhausted...the bags under her eyes almost frightening. She was once the best dressed, best looking, and best worker here. Jealousy had eaten her, and the absence of her Lover only made her worse. “Ah Min, you won’t miss me...you’re sending me away to protect your little hook up, she moan like I used to?” My cheeks began to redden, “no, her’s are better.” Guilt set in sourly. I lied right to y/n’s face to save my ass.
Kim Eunji had made me a liar, a cheater and a bad businessman...all the more reason for her fate. “Hm, if you say so.....how about we go to your place.” Her smirk detailed more than she’d let on. “One last time.” She’s always been scandalous, she could never learn a lesson, she’d never get enough. She saw an opportunity to finally sink her teeth into what she envied, and sinking her teeth is what she planned on doing.
“Tempting, can’t wait for mr kim huh?” I attempted to participate in her now lustful staring. “Hmm, you won’t make me will you?” I set free a chuckle, letting my fingertips glide my lip. “Your place, we can make it an all night thing...you can bring me to get my car in the morning.” She collected her expensive shoulder bag. “No, y/n is at my place, probably out cold by now....I’ll bring you somewhere with a romantic view, you’ll get back to your car tonight.” She frowned at the mention of her name, pulling her wisps of hair back.
“Fine, but don’t say her name anymore tonight.” Nodding I stood offering a hand to help her up and she refused with a bratty giggle, leaving the office. She removed her heels walking barefoot to the elevator, I paced hot on her trail, finally catching her as she stood idle in the spacious elevator.
The elevator couldn’t reach the final floor fast enough for me, she’d gotten comfortable the guilt of cheating on her husband nonexistent. Sighing in frustration eyeing my watch. She toyed with my fingers leaning against me, “why’d you replace me huh?” She pouted interlocking our fingers, her fridged rings kissed my skin harshly. “Excuse me?” She sighed, “we were messing around and you...found y/n.” I chuckled as the doors pulled open. “You were engaged...nothing more would’ve developed anyway.”
Eunji and I had held countless endeavors right under Namjoon’s nose, flirtatious, casual, sexual. But he was everything but oblivious, he was just lenient until he found out the depth of our friendship. So he decided to test the waters with y/n, it was extremely unacceptable. Eunji was engaged after all, I do have some self respect. I never replaced her, I just found someone I actually loved, someone who needed me and only me.
She only laughed at my reasoning, following me giddily to my car, I opened the passenger and let her inside. I already had her fate planned. She’d been the thorn in y/n’s side ever since she’d started, she’d come running to me in tears over the things Eunji would say...the things she’d do. They treated her like a rag doll the new girl fresh to adulthood, she knew nothing better than to follow and comply.
Eunji was given warning after warning, I hate firing people but for her I’d make an exception. But y/n she’s so sweet...it’ll kill her to know Eunji was walking around jobless because of her sensitivity. So what am I to do? I’ll just make her leave silently...on her own. I’ll make her disappear.
“Where are we going?” She pushed my knee aggressively, I’d zoned out completely roaming my thoughts a dangerous thing to do behind the wheel. Absentmindedly I’d driven past our false “date”, ultimately finding ourselves in the dark. “There is this bridge, it’s romantic y/n loves it.” I fibbed, how much of an idiot could I be...this mishaps could fuck everything I’d planned. I pulled onto said bridge, vacant, thankfully just how I needed it. I turned the car off, in pitch black I could feel her looking at me.
“Huh, what a view.” She quips, “well don’t be ungrateful.” The moment before the fall is always awkward, “hm...recline the seat.” She ordered, I personally didn’t enjoy her tone. I let my seat slowly fall back and she leaned over the center console. Blindly fiddling my pant buckle. Oh shit. Oh no. Waves of guilt washed over me at the simple thought of what she was attempting.
This had to be it, she’d made it to my briefs with ease, trailing her manicured fingers along my member. This had to happen now or the outcome I’d been planning would definitely go to shit. I put an end to her exploration, gripping the back of her neck with great force she mewled like a harmed animal. “F-fuck Min, feeling rough?”
No way would this be easy or clean in the car. “Shut up.” I gritted, now griping her hair making her whine and cry out. “P-please wait.” “What the fuck did I say?” Opening my door I pulled her from the car on my side. This needed to be quick and clean, this bridge was all too public and constantly frequented for me to be leaving a messy scene on.
What smart girl, she tried to escape only to be pained by my iron grip on her mane. “Why so scared...you wanted me right?” “M-m-Min! Please I’m sorry, tell her I’m sorry...sorry-so sorry.” I kicked the pit of her knee causing her to collapse on the cold gravel. “One sorry Bitch you are, I couldn’t even pay you to keep your mouth shut.”
“Think of all you did to that innocent woman...ruined her clothes, sent her on wild goose chases in a county she’s never been in, made her fall down the stairs, turned half the office against her...so evil you even made your sleazy husband her personal predator.” She sobbed pathetically, “w-what....he did-wait?” Of course she was unaware as any idiot would be.
I knelt mumbling in her ear. “He touched my fucking girlfriend for months on end...She was so ashamed do you know how much it took for her to come and tell me?” She gagged on her sobs, choking herself on her cries. “I’m sorry, I’ll quit I’ll leave-no need to do this I’ll be gone by tomorrow.”
She whispers letting her body go limp. She thinks it’s so easy. “You sure will.” I grumbled reaching to pull my tie from my back pocket. “You can’t do shit to me- Joon- Joon will be lo-” “Joon his fucking dead. This right here.” I kicked her down pressing my foot into her soft back, to keep her still. She struggled to breath with my weight on her back, I crouch looping the long tie around her neck she ceased from fighting back as I wrapped it around my hands as well. Pulling with my angered strength, “this is the fucking business trip...enjoy the flight whore.”
She stoped struggling all together, pulling the fabric as tight as I could, I made sure the deed was done. She quit breathing, the ceased the struggle. Violently making sure she was gone, before I stored her in the trunk. My hands shook, the rush made my figure quake, I did my best to climb into the drivers seat.
Starting the car, it’s best in mind to flee as fast as I arrived. He’ll be pissed to high heaven, but at this moment theirs only one person to call. I scanned the road feeling beyond the edge, unsure of my final destination. Finally he felt the need to answer “Min, Min Yoongi-ah it is too late to be calling me this way!” He croaked through the phone .
“Jimin, hm a bonus?” “Excuse me?” He shuffled, I couldn’t continue to circle around here “Jimin...I need your help.” I groaned, I’d have to find somewhere to go before someone saw me driving suspiciously. “I’ve made another mistake....a messy one.” He gasped before mumbling complaints. “Why,Who and how much?” He grumbled, “meet me and I’ll let you know that.” “You know where to find me.” When all else fails, Jimin is the one to call. Partner in crime, cheater of justice and death.

NOW READING FROM : readers point of view.
Fear rolled over you as you came to the realization that is was almost 5 AM and Yoongi wasn’t in bed. Holly still occupied his spot, sprawled out in pure comfort. Enjoying the luxury of sleeping in the big bed.
Rubbing sleep from your eyes you shuffled your feet along the chilly floor, slipping in Yoongi’s slippers to adventure to the bathroom. You’d have to be back at work in some hours, Yoongi as well. It’s never like him to be late. After reliving yourself, washing up you’d realized the dryness of your mouth.
Aiding the feeling you took the trip downstairs, Holly’s paws hot on ur heels. “You thirsty too?” Rhetorically you questioned setting his dish for him, and grabbing a water for yourself, drinking it almost instantly. “You’ll get sick that way kitten.”
You choked in response, spitting the water onto the marbled counter. “What the fuck Yoongi, where’ve you been?” You spoke into the darkness, you didn’t hear him come in, maybe he was already home. “After I cleared some things up at work, Jimin and I had to...do some heavy work.” His voice held a quiver, unsure if it was of sadness or fear, maybe even anger.
“Ah well....come out of the dark, come over here.” You closed the the water, Holly had already met him in the living room. He neared, his features being shown from the glow of the kitchen lights. “Here, c’mon.” You sat on the island, back to him.
Something was off...he was hiding something, he was moving strangely with his words and actions. He came, leaving Holly on the floor he centers between your legs. Leaning on his palms on either side of you, “my shirt, my slippers, dressing up as me today?” You gave a soft smirk, “when’d you change?”
“At Jimin’s the work was messy.” “Ah...what’s that on your lip?” Taking your nail, you scrapped the flake of red from his top lip. “Been kissing other ladies...ladies in cheap red lipstick?” You giggled. His face ran pale at your joke, “n-no probably from Parks food, we were hungry.” You gazed in his eyes, “what’d you eat?” “Why?” Sighing you blew it off, “no reason, just curious...how’d it go with Eunji.”
He sighed leaned forward on the counter to stretch his back. It’s then when you caught a glimpse of something odd. “There was a struggle, but it’s all over now.” You held his shoulders, stopping him from moving back up, “Yoongi, you have this stuff all in your hair, where were you?” You brushed the stubborn dried substance with your fingers. “All on your neck.” You groomed him awaiting his answer. “Painting at Jimin’s.” Overpowering you he stood to his height.
You didn’t believe him, how could you? What paint job takes that long? How could it get on his hair? Down his neck? On his lips...nose as well? “I’m going to bed, kiss.” He pecked my cheek moving from my legs, Holly followed his escape. “Oh, and Jimin’s buddy gonna look at my car for a while I had to clean it out...left your lipstick.” He threw the tube for you to catch, it fell in your clutches.
“Yoongi, stop...where’d you get this?” “In the car, it’s yours baby.” He stood stiff on the stairs not turning around. “No, it’s not I can’t wear this...it fucks up my lips, I’m allergic.”
“It was Kim’s huh? You were out doing what you said you didn’t.” He turned glaring sinisterly. “I was out doing what I should’ve a while ago.”
You scoffed, he’s unbelievable, how could he. You’d began to plan your breakdown, how you’d destroy his home in a fit of rage. He’d cheated, lied, and didn’t care. “Kim Eunji and Kim Namjoon are dead.” He shared coldly, “any more questions miss curiosity?”
“No? Good now come up and clean me.”
In utter shock, you shook on top of the kitchen island. He’d made his way to the shower quickly, you heard the faint sprinkling. Sliding from your seat, in fear you followed his orders “now my love...don’t be afraid of me I do all things for you out of love.”

Little sparks emerged from the blazing mixture of red and orange. The colour of fiery and passion. But in the middle, there was a vibrant colour of yellow. Even if a person is angry and the things they do will not go as passionate, there’s always a little bit of hope. That was what Sakusa interpreted as he observed the fire. The ashy smoke floated upward into the sky and turned invisible where they will not be seen again. That is what they want, right? Just to die out...
“I’m going to find some more wood,” Bokuto said out of the blue and stood up from the barky log he just sat on. Hinata got a fright that he almost fell off of his side of the log. Bokuto then ran towards the darkened woods. Hinata’s eyes widened. He scuttled backwards and jogged into the woods, just to make sure he doesn’t wander off. Just to make sure he’s safe.
“Kotaro, wait up!” he shouted and the woods mimicked his voice of worry. It was a cold night. A blanket of navy covered the sky with a sprinkle of shimmering stars.
“I hope they don’t get lost. I heard that this is the largest forest in our area or perhaps the whole country,” the blonde head muttered. His fingers fiddling on to silver key necklace dearest to his heart. It was a gift given by his grandma just the day before her decease. That day felt like the day he lost a true friend. Sakusa stared into the sky. To become one of those shiny sequences high up the vast navy.
Small, slender, slim sticks were thrown into the fire by Atsumu. His eyes granted no mercy as he stared at them burning in the little hell he created. Sakusa could see the reflection of the fire in his chocolate eyes. Knowing the reason, he sighed. It conveyed his feelings. His pent up fury.
The long silence was interrupted by a trivial question. “Have you ever thought of what you want to become as you grow older?” Atsumu wondered. He had never really heard or knew much about Sakusa despite having each other’s presence in existence for a while. He blinked, his long lashes brushed through the air. “I don’t know,” he simply replied. His voice so curt that Atsumu’s feelings were hurt. He clutched his heart with a pain expression to emphasise the dramatic. “Omi kun, y’know that’s not the answer I want,” he whined at him. There he goes again, Sakusa thought.
Atsumu hummed as he looked at the fire “Y’know.., it has always been my dream to become an astronaut. What do ya think Omi kun?” Sakusa scrunched his face at the thought. “What should I think??” The only responsive thought he had for that confession was that it was unbelievable to be true. He thought he wanted to become a volleyball player and join the national team. Maybe get the hot girlfriend of his dreams while he’s at it. But an astronaut? Does he even have the grad-?
“Haha if only I had the grades. I can see it right through you Omi kun,” he smirked as he pointed the stick at him held by his fingers. “To bad I’m not a smartass like my twin brother. Such a nerd without glasses,” he murmured at the mentions of his twin.
“Achieving high grades doesn’t make you a stereotypical ne-“
“I said what I said, Omi kun. I said what I said”
Sakusa stayed quiet after that. He had nothing else to add after that mild conversation. His eyes lingered at the book lying on the grassy ground. Atsumu’s five year old diary. To this day, he still remembered the contents inked in those pages. Hinata and Bokuto saw them as well. He pitied Atsumu, but dared not to speak a word of it. In that diary, Atsumu undergone what you call affliction. Even now, it still disturbed them.
Beside them, they set up a telescope that they had recently bought. They got it after dodging that expensive price. Bokuto’s bargaining skills were useful. The trees waved side to side with the gusting wind. Sakusa’s dark curls wavered. They’ve always wanted to see the stars together. Earlier this day, they heard from the news that there was going to be a shooting star passing earth. It was very exciting as no one would ever expect to see something like this in their time of life.
There was a lot of things around their temporary property. Tents set up, sleeping bags, coats, stocks of food and drinks, you name it. They fully decided that they would never ever come back home. All of them hated where they came from. It just wasn’t for them.
At around five or six in the evening, the four of them were in school cleaning up toilets and classrooms. This was Sakusa’s nightmare. His duty was in the boys’ toilet. All the grime, stench, dirtiness tainted each cubicle he entered. He felt like regurgitating, but if he was going to faint, at least faint outside the bathroom. Nonetheless, he pushed through this hell and managed it somehow.
Suddenly, a burning smell wavered through the air and entered his nostrils, sending him to alarm. He rushed out of the boys’ bathrooms. His eye’s enlarged at the sight of flames eating the corridors. His mouth gaped as he stood petrified. What in the world?
Someone grabbed his wrist and pulled him away from danger. Sakusa turned around to see it was Bokuto. His heart was racing as he tried to process what the fuck just occurred. “Kotaro, what on earth is going on?!” He didn’t answer for a while until they’ve reached outside the burning school.
“It was Atsumu’s doing. He threw a cigarette in the bin and the bin caught on fire!” Bokuto used his arms to demonstrate the fire. Sakusa glared at Atsumu and grabbed him by the collar. “I know you hate this fucking place, but did you have to fucking burn down the school!?” Atsumu shoved him away from him. “So what if I fucking did?!” Sakusa’s eyes were filled with anger. Who goes to this extent from hatred? Especially from a teenager.
“You… YOU BASTARD!” he cursed at his selfishness. A punch swung onto Atsumu’s face and he fell to the ground in an instant. The blond head swiped the blood off his busted lips and gave him a deadly glare. Oh if looks could kill…He collided into Sakusa causing him to cough out his saliva. Therefore, a dog fight transpired between them. Sakusa had no care for the dirt sticking on to him as his only goal was to knock some god damn sense into Atsumu’s brain.
Hinata panicked and attempts to pull Atsumu away while Bokuto did the same for Sakusa. “Look we tried to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher! But it…it just wouldn’t work at all!” Hinata explained while he still held onto Atsumu. Sakusa’s brows furrowed. “Then what the fuck did you do then?” All three of them looked at each other. “We ditched it,” Bokuto shrugged his shoulders “It would go out”
Sakusa groaned in his clammy palms. Oh my fucking god…Since this happened, what’s gonna happen to them? Will they all get in to trouble? Obviously. Should they just mention that it was Atsumu’s fault and he shall bear the consequence? Or should all of them step out and stay along with the blond retard? Everyone remained quiet. Sirens were heard and police cars and fire brigade were approaching their way.
“Do you just want to go home and pack our stuffs secretly? We can buy that telescope we all wanted and watch the shooting star that’s coming tonight….”
And that’s how they ended up here, in the meadow deep into the woods where no one will find them. If they decided to give up on them, just like how the others would. Sakusa admitted that it was a beautiful scenery. Atsumu and he didn’t fight anymore. What’s done has been done. Everything happens for a reason.
Hinata and Bokuto arrived with more sticks cradled in their arms. They were dropped onto the beryl green grass. After that, Hinata plopped down and his chest heaving up and down “Oi no more. I’m tired from running around,” he waved his hand at him without looking at Bokuto. The owl-like man plastered a huge grin on his face “You lack strength, Chibi chan. C’mon toughen up those muscles,” Bokuto wacked his shoulders that sent Chibi forward. They laughed. Only the corner of Sakusa’s lips curved.
Boys in pain come together to diminish those pains.
A spark occurred in the middle of the dark sky. Hinata noticed this first and mirthfully swore “Guys I see it!” All of them ran to the telescope, even having little arguments of who should go first. It ended up being Atsumu. The rest of them quietened down and all they could do was admire. It was absolutely spectacular without a doubt. Not only was one shooting star but there a shower of them. A celebration perhaps?
“There’s so many of them! We should make a wish,” Hinata encouraged. All of them clasped their hands together with their eyes closed. Sakusa joined and he wished that he would have a happy life. That was all he wanted.
“Atsumu…”
“……”
“Atsumu… is that other shooting star approaching us or am I losing my mind?” Hinata asked worriedly. His knees shook like jelly. “Atsumu...” His body quivered with uncontrollable nervousness. Atsumu didn’t say anything back but gulped. “Well aren’t you going to answer us?” Bokuto asked with a lump in his throat.
Sakusa gazed up, following the track of the star before it split into two after crashing a certain part of the atmosphere. He knew. Everyone knew, that it was bound to reach them any minute.
“Will be able to get out of here in time?” Bokuto asked fretfully, brushing his hands through his grey strands. It wouldn’t be called a shooting star anymore. It was meteorite. The little thing drew closer and closer each time they blinked.
They just knew they wouldn’t make it out in time…
Atsumu sighed. “I’m staying here. I have nothing in this world to live for,” he gazed up and muttered as salty essence well up his chocolate eyes. He said it quietly, yet it was enough to be understood. He walked around a log and sat down with his head hung low. It was getting closer. Hinata swiftly sat beside him with his arms wrapped around him. His eyes closed “I’m staying with you. Staying with you until the end. Who knows we might end up somewhere beautiful. A magical land called Us”
When he said those words, a tear rolled down from Sakusa’s glistening ebony orbs. All of them wanted that. For a long time. A magical land called Us. This world gave them so much pain to the point that they had to imagine a wonderful world.
Bokuto, who used to use happiness to shield his sadness, embraced the both of them. The three of them cuddled. Some sniffles and sobs were heard from their trembling lips. Sakusa patted the left side of his chest. He was breathing quite heavily. This was most emotion he had ever displayed.  All of them turned their heads to face him. Atsumu’s arm stretched out. He smiled wearily “Come with us”
A lot of thought rushed through his mind. His head went racing. Was this the right choice? Was this what he wanted? What he if he still want to liv-
Before he could move a muscle, a bright, yellowish light flared behind them. His eyes reflected the light. Everything happened so fast and after that, they…. vanished. Long forgotten in this world.

“A lot of things have happened during this week. Firstly, the “shooting star” also known as a meteorite, crashed in the meadow of (xxx) wood, the largest in this country. No one has expected this phenomenon to split into two and destroy so much nature. Even almost damaging some parts of nearby towns. Another talked about topic, is the burned down school at (xxx) province with four boys that attended that school, missing…”
The little girl watched the enormous meteorite from afar. “Wah it’s huge,” she said as she dangled her tiny little legs. An ice cream was in her hands as she watched the workers inspecting the rock. Maybe they could extract minerals and become filthy rich. She took a lick of the ice cream. The wind was howling that evening. She enjoyed a vanilla ice cream during cold season.
“Y/n, come here!”
Her mother yelled. Y/n shouldn’t be out in the open. It was too dangerous, who knows what will happen. Y/n stood up from the edge of a cliff and admired the amber sky before realizing her ice cream dropped to the ground. Her mouth gaped in disbelief. She paid for that using her own money by collecting reusable garbage for hours. She exhaled and tossed the cone away.
“Y/n!”
“I’m coming mom. I’m coming,” she called back. She dusted her hands off her skirt and jogged on. There was a valley close by so she needed to be cautious otherwise she might roll off the cliff and that wouldn’t be good. However, as she took another step, her foot slipped and her face fell flat on the ground. Blood dripped down from her nostrils. “Great…”
Luckily for her, she had an extra packet of tissue deep in her pocket. She took a tissue out and wiped the blood off that dried. All of a sudden, from the corner of her eyes, she caught something shining in the grass. Curiosity aroused her and she moved closer to the object. Mother told her that she shouldn’t take or even touch something that’s not hers. It could bring bad luck.
Y/n didn’t remember her mother’s words when she picked it up. It was a silver necklace that took the shape of a key. “Wow…” she mumbled. It had a simple design to it, yet to her it was the most beautiful thing she had seen that day. The wind blew even harder as the wind whistled.
“Y/n! If you don’t come this instant, I will leave you here,” her mother called out for what seemed like the last time. Y/n shoved the object into her pocket and rushed to her parent. She shuddered. How cold was it? She wrapped her arms around her and rubbed for heat.
“Y/n, what happened to your nose?”
“I just fell”
“That’s karma for not listening to me for the first time. I just fell”
“MOM”

So this was what the afterlife looked like? It looked the same as their world, yet maybe more magical. In this world, there was only the four of them and no one else. It had everything they needed. It was tranquilized. The trees consisted of wisteria. All of their stuff that they had with them before their very last breaths was placed exactly the same way, same place. However, the boys weren’t there.
A burning door stood in the middle of the meadow. All of them watched it, sitting down with bittersweet smiles on their faces. Was it worth it after all? Atsumu was the first one to hop off his position and run out into the wild. His appearance changed. He took the form of a little boy and had a book about stars in his hands. Ten years of age. The last time he felt a sense of happiness before all crashed down. Hinata turned back to a fifteen year old and Bokuto, a twelve year old. It made Sakusa feel old. He remained the same after all their transformations. A seventeen year old.
The last time he felt happy was just a few months ago. Despite that, he never really intended to die. It was just a last minute wish he made that he regretted. He believed to have many things to do on his bucket list. It was too late somehow and he thought that this new life wasn’t bad after all. He could maybe tick them all of in this afterlife.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted a necklace. His brows furrowed at it and he leaned forward to capture it. Now it laid on his palm and began his inspection. It was an open door with no handle… He gulped. What was the meaning of this? If he was being honest, Atsumu didn’t have his grandma’s necklace with him. He started connecting the dots.
The fire stopped burning the door. He looked up and moved backwards. It was dark and the atmosphere couldn’t be anymore spookier. He whimpered and started to shake.
A little girl clad in a ripped strawberry dress. Her shoes dirtied. Her skin pale as snow. Her hair in a dishevelled state and her eyes were the worst. They were fully pitch black. And before Sakusa knew it, he ran as fast as he could and…
…never turned back.
The shooting star, after all, just granted their wishes. Without them knowing the consequences…

Fall: September.
Peter lifts his head but doesn't bother even trying a smile. "Hey."
"Hey?" Junmyeon doesn't offer a smile either, and it's one of the traits Peter has admired about him, even if they've really only met in person a few times that he could count on one hand.
"Am I allowed to come in?"
"..."
"..."
"Do I have a choice to send you away?"
"Not really."
They both give a half snort before Junmyeon cracks the door open fully and Peter makes his way in. Even if he doesn't see it, he knows Junmyeon's watching him more carefully than he shows, simply at the request of Brian.
Peter would have his eyes all around Junmyeon's house, curious about his interior choices and furnishings -- but he just doesn't have it in him, and definitely not the leisure. He has a hundred thoughts in his head but at the same time, none that he can fully articulate, not even to himself, let alone another person.
"Sorry for barging in." He heads straight to the first chair he sees, placing his luggage by the side before leaning his body's weight against the chair. "I'll leave tomorrow night. I had the choice to just buy a ticket straight back to Paris at the airport when I landed, but they said the first ticket out wasn't direct and I really didn't want to get on a plane with two connecting stops and..."
Peter looks up at this moment, because it's not like of him to be running his mouth so much and he's expected the other to stop his rambling at some point. Instead, Junmyeon's eyes are trained on him, just letting him finish. He wonders why he's given so much patience, when they barely much know each other. It's strange, but he sees the same warmth in Junmyeon that is in Brian, and it's both welcoming and disheartening at once.
"I just need a place to sleep a couple of hours... and the hotels around here are extremely over priced. And... I don't really know the area anyway. I... I don't know. I'm not sure." He feels much unlike himself, making so many excuses.
The raw truth is that he doesn't want to be alone, at least not tonight.
Junmyeon doesn't respond right away. It makes Peter nervous for some odd reason, until Junmyeon comes over to him and makes a motion with his fingers.
"Give me your jacket and go take a shower."
Fall: October.
"May not be my place to ask this, since I know you're not much of a talker... but." He crosses his arms and tilts his head. There's pity spread all across his face, and Peter feels even worse because of it. "You doing alright? Like I said, I don't mean to intrude, but you've been making a lot of small mistakes that's very unlike you, the most detail oriented person I know at this company."
"And beyond your work... you just haven't seemed the same."
Peter grips the laptop at his side a little tighter. He doesn't know why he should have to feel this defensive about his state of being. Right now, in this moment, all he wants to do is exist, and even that seems overbearing and difficult. He felt better compared to a month ago, or at least —
He was mistaking feeling less for feeling better.
"I'm doing okay." He manages to say, adjusting his glasses. "It's just the busy season, I think." There's a bit of silence before Peter realizes he's supposed to say more. "Oh, and I got a cat. Maybe it's the cat." Peter murmurs, his voice starting to crawl into a hole of it's own. He's starting to mumble, and he's hiding his fingers behind his back, fumbling with them. Brian would've told him he was doing the thing, and even now he's still lingering in his thoughts.
"It is the cat. Definitely the cat. I didn't know cats were so much work."
"A cat." His boss says.
"A cat." Peter repeats.
His boss doesn't look convinced at all, but to Peter's thankfulness, he drops the topic of conversation. "Alright, well. Just shave every once in a while, at least when you come into the office. And some sleep. Even HR is getting worried if we're abusing you from your dark circles."
"Thanks for the warning."
"Not a warning, just a suggestion." The other hands over a folder to Peter, before adding, "...as a friend."
Normal him would've said something a bit impulsive and possibly offensive, but he's got no energy for it. Instead, he gives another thanks with a nod of his head.
Winter: February.
He paints his nails, black.
It's something he had always thought about doing, but never did because of a fear of being seen a certain way. As unprofessional. Weird. Hipster. Strange. Goth.
Gay.
Maybe he wasn't as comfortable with himself as he had thought to be. And yet, he had given Brian so much fire for being too careful about their relationship around outside peers, his fans, and his parents.
"You know I'm gay, right?" Peter asks, or more so states. He's playing around with his fingers while sitting besides Dowoon at the restaurant table.
It brings up a blink from Dowoon, who swallows something down his throat. Even if Dowoon's slightly out of his line of sight, the redness of his ears is enough for Peter to know — and it's not from the alcohol in front of them.
"Uh, yeah, I know. I.. I know."
"Okay."
A wave of silence passes, and he hears Dowoon swallowing a few more times. He laughs, and Dowoon gives him a strange look at him.
"Why are you laughing?" Dowoon asks, genuinely curious.
"Because of you." Peter answers. "And I think I'm tipsy."
"That's nice. I mean. Not being drunk, but... I mean..." Peter notes the way his ears grow even redder, and begin to wonder what's more red between him and the wine in his glass. "I like it when you laugh."
Another bit of quietness rests between them, before Dowoon looks like he wants to say something. Instead, he leans near, close enough for it to be questionable. He doesn't move any closer, and instead lets Peter decide for himself. Peter closes the remaining distance between them, pressing their lips together.
Up till now, he had thought it better that Brian remained an absence so that they remained a question. And yet, in this very moment, it no longer felt like a question, and more than an answer — and the wrong one.
Spring: April.
"Maybe the universe is telling you to move on."
"I think you're telling me to move on." Peter replies, giving his best friend a look.
"So I'm your universe now? Predictable. I always knew you were in love with me. I get it. You're into the best friends to lovers trope. Maybe we can make it happen."
"Uh huh." Peter runs the tip of his thumbs around the rim of his cup, staring at the coffee in it. It's long lost it's warmth, distasteful and lukewarm. He feels quite like it, just as in between even with two entire seasons past. "I'm taking time off. I asked for brunch because I was wondering if that... photographing across Europe trip together was still on the table."
"You mean the trip we planned together in middle school?" Youngjin raises a brow, with a playful grin.
"Merde. We planned that in middle school?"
"You were way more full of dreams when you were younger. Remember, you wanted to get married to an electric violinist and be in a traveling band with them with two kids exactly two years apart. Also with six cats or one hamster. And also wanted to become the first Spanish-Asian president of Spain or something."
"Right."
"Working in a cubicle definitely changed you. But..." Youngjin nudges at Peter's side, meeting his eyes. "...the adventurer Pillie still in there somewhere."
"Sure."
"I know because I saw bits of it again when you were dating him."
Summer: May.
“You’re leaving for work tomorrow morning?”
"Yeah, I... wasn’t really thinking when I got on the plane and accidentally used up all my vacation days.” A genuine laugh leaves Peter, as he scratches the back of his neck.
“I thought you always had like three or four weeks saved by this time of the year?” Brian is more observant of him now, if he could be any more so than before.
"Well I did..." Peter’s hand remains at his neck, now itching at the other side. Even if Peter doesn’t remember so, Brian knows him too well. It’s a habit of his when he gets embarrassed, especially when accompanied by his eyes falling downward to the ground, as they go. “A month ago.”
Brian processes what Peter’s said only afterwards, and it leaves him thinking for a while. It’s strange to imagine Peter of all people not thinking; especially with something as time and energy consuming as flying overseas. Brian tries to imagine it but for some reason can’t— yet when he gets another look at him, he knows it’s the truth. It’s in his disheveled gaze, to his messy hair, unshaven face, and wrongly buttoned shirt.
Nothing about him seems like Peter, yet his smile is the same.
“So you can’t...” stay, he wants to say, but decides on another word. He’s only just come back so it seems too selfish of him to ask of something as heavy. “...come grab breakfast with me tomorrow.” Brian wonders if his smile is enough to assume, or if that’s dangerous.
Peter looks up at him, and his eyes are doing much more of the talking than his words are. It’s the regret lining them; the rue overcasting them. “Mm, no.”
“Okay.” Brian replies.
The street lamp above them flickers a few times, and Peter’s lashes do the same as he blinks quite intentionally once, then twice. His eyes peek over to Brian another time, before letting out a subtle sigh.
“Can I... try something?”
“...depends on what it is.” Brian replies, and surprises Peter with the response. The Brian he knew wouldn't hesitate to take him up, allow for him to knock at his door and open it without thought. Peter's not used to this Brian, and he seems foreign. Not familiar.
Even Brian seems a bit unsure of his reply, lips still parted open as if he wants to correct himself — but also knowing better than to allow Peter in any deeper. It makes Peter smile again, because it’s respectable, and so different than the man he knows. But instead of letting him give another answer, Peter brings him in for an embrace, throwing his arms around his neck. He buries his head in the crook of him, closing his eyes.
The first thing Peter notices is his change in scent. It’s again, not familiar, but at the base of it still yells Brian. It’s comforting in that way, although new and exciting all at the same time. It’s only when he feels Brian’s hands settling warmly on his back that he lets himself stay there even a bit longer, as if having gotten the permission to do so.
Even in the short moment, Peter tries his best to stretch out time. Not because he wants to linger in it more, but because it seems like he’s been waiting for this bit for the past year.
"If not breakfast... can I take you out to eat a late dinner?"
"Yes." Peter answers, with such certainty and without missing a beat that it surprises Brian. "Please." Peter adds, staying in his arms for a beat too long, with the answer he's gotten over the seasons.
