alrighty so !!

basic rundown of my au before we get to the Funtimes

Freddy and his friends, as well as his cousin Goldie (Golden Freddy) grow up in his uncle Fredbear's diner !! until eventually Goldie dies from an illness

as Freddy and his friends grow older together, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie grow more apart (they're married in my au \o/)

Spring Bonnie ends up leaving Fredbear and just runs away from all the pain they've encountered from his child's passing

when Freddy and the gang are adults, they end up taking the diner from an older and more tired Fredbear, which causes them to bring in new ideas, such as the Toys, managed by Charlie (the puppet), and the Mediocre Melodies (and El Chip, whom I adore)

from the success of that, Freddy decided to add another division, this time for kids in the foster care system, in honor of his cousin Goldie, which is where he meets the young Funtimes (they're in their pre to late teens, the youngest being Betsy and the oldest being Clara)

in my au, the Funtimes are given the job as entertainers by Freddy ! Betsy as a singer, Clara as a dancer, Gabriel as a comedian/ventriloquist, and Loui as their ringmaster

Fazbear Family (that's what my au is called) is a very loose and lengthy story that I came up with for fun, and as time went on it just kept getting longer the more characters I added. it spans from Freddy as a child to Freddy as a grown adult having his own kids (it ends with the Glamrocks.. eventually)

I didn't want to include the human fnaf characters (those being William, Henry, etc, except for Gregory, Cassie, and Vanessa, who are turned into anthro characters) so no murderous bunnies here !!

Boxtrolls has been a longtime favorite of mine, and it's awesome seeing other fans as passionate about it like you are !! :D

I absolutely adore Snatcher's character !! he's so silly fun !!

I feel like my favorite character is Eggs, mostly because I see a lot of myself in him, the way everyone in my life sees me as a specific thing and I see myself as something entirely different, if that makes sense

I love rewatching this movie (I've seen it a billion times at this point) especially when it gets to the final scene with Mr Pickles and Mr Trout !! it makes my heart soar with emotion every time, and it makes me feel that passion and love I have towards stop motion animation !!

Hihihi!!!! Thank you for reaching out! always a pleasure to chat with some other Boxtroll fans... Boxtrollers? I love Eggs, Snatcher, and Winnifred in the film, but if I had to pick just one, it would definitely be Snatcher.

He's an absolute blast to try to analyze and try to get into his head, and I notice a new thing about him every time I re-watch the film... yes, all 63 times. I get the feeling that, the moment he learns Eggs is still alive, he starts to lose himself. He's kind of an idiot, but he makes up for it in cleverness. He knows just how to find people's weakness and exploit it for his own gain, and this is what makes him so formidable. He sees nothing but his own ambitions, completely ignoring his own weakness, and that ultimately leads to his demise. Heck, in the final scene, Eggs is telling him that he doesn’t need to eat cheese to be powerful, he is already powerful. He got people to listen to him. (although for all the wrong reasons) And what does he say to that? "I have made me, boy." Because despite Eggs making a brilliant point, Snatcher is still, exactly where he's wanted to be his whole life, eating cheese with the White Hats. Even if he only got there kind of on accident, and before that, he did the same thing to Eggs that the White hats did to him, pushing those beneath him in the social ladder even further down for the sake of gaining power. Also, in calling Eggs 'boy', he acknowledges his own progress in breaking through societal labels, it's the nicest thing he's said to him the entire movie, and he's still talking down to Eggs. So in this final scene, Eggs and Snatcher are both correct. They both want the exact same thing, to have their own identities and be accepted for it, and they achieve it by being the opposite of what they’re stereotyped as. Eggs, by being kind and brave, Snatcher, by being clever and manipulative. And that fact alone makes the little film-analyst in my brain squeal with delight.

Another thing I enjoy, and I've probably mentioned this before, every fan-depiction of Snatcher that I've seen is slightly different. We all have our different interpretations of this guy, and I think that's a key indicator as to how complicated he really is, and I love him for it. Just a bonus thing I want to admit, interestingly enough, in the novelization of the film, (Not to be confused with 'Here Be Monsters!') Winnifred ends up being my favorite character,

even if that is mostly due to how the book is only told from the direct POV from either Eggs or Winnie. As much as I dislike the novel, it provides just the right amount of extra details to really flesh out her character. She's so bored with her home life that her coping mechanism is somewhat self-destructive, and that description both over-exaggerates and summarizes her arc in the book. Again, it's a pretty bad novel, but it's a blast to compare & contrast with the film.

these are my most favorite pieces, going from (supposedly) oldest to newest !!

the first one is supposed to be an angsty moment between Elvie and Memphis, two characters from analog horror cartoon !!

I never colored this one cause I ended up losing interest after spending 10 hours on just the lineart alone, but I still love it !!

this next one is of my sona Glappy !! i really liked how I did the lineart, and the piece itself was a bit of an experiment with my rendering style, as well as how I wanted to do his fur pattern and markings !! (I need to update him again smfh)

this next one was based on Countryhumans au i made for a discord server I'm in called Bonesdale (a fictional country created by one of my dear beloved friends) !! I made 3 characters, but I liked this one the most, especially with the way I rendered it ✨✨

our, ahem, favorite animals are borzois and wolves, and I decided to draw us as such, them being the borzoi and i the wolf !! I had fun rendering the fur on this one, but I was still trying to find my rendering style hrng

this next one was a bit of an experiment, more of a painterly/sketchy type style that I rendered on my laptop !!

I drew meself as a wolf-humanoid type thing !! yay :3c

this next one was one I did on my laptop that I never ended finishing (cowabummer 😔😔) but I still loved how it looked, aside from it not being finished !!

this one was more of a painterly type of experiment, and I still love it so much, especially how I ended up coloring Axel (that's his name :3c) !!

this last one is another Memphis piece !! I absolutely adored how I did the rendering on this one, especially on the eyes !! I had so much fun figuring out how to render this one, and I love it so much eugh

HE WOULD TOTALLY HAVE A SLIGHTLY TWANGY SOUTHERN ACCENT !!! like if you genuinely paid attention to his voice, you'd totally hear it !! it'd also be slightly higher in pitch, definitely not as deep as Fredbear's :p
